Callers: [Blank] Has a Better Shot at Being President Than Liz Cheney

"Hi, Mike. I actually think that monkeypox has actually a better chance of becoming president than basically Liz Cheney. I can't disagree with you, sir. I'm quickly, I'm trying to get as many people out here as I can, Debbie, and Owensboro, Kentucky. Hey Debbie, near Louisville. Who's got a better shot of becoming a presidential candidate? I mean, Louisville, Kentucky, I'm sorry. That's okay, little. Oh, yes. A pet brother Ted nugent. Ted news. Well, listen, that's a real Canada, but you get how about how about Kid Rock? Jerry and Clearwater, Jerry, who do you like is a better selection than Liz Cheney? I was gonna say anybody, but I had to have the perfect candidate. She's turning 35. She'll be eligible to be elected. I knew you were going to say that. When you said she's turning 35, AOC, the former bartender. Oh yeah. But listen, seriously, let's look at that for a moment. Between the two of them, all kidding aside, doesn't Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have more credibility and bona fides, at least from the left than Liz Cheney does from the right? Absolutely. Absolutely. Good to hear from you. Thank you, Bradley, and Oklahoma final vote as to who has a better chance of being the GOP nominee than Liz Cheney. Bradley, you've got the final vote. Sir being from Oklahoma in a comedian. I'll go with Joe Exotic. Joe Exotic. Free Joe Exotic 'cause he's still in jail, right? I believe so, yeah. Got a good representation of my home state, but then again, I think he's got a better chance than Liz Cheney.

AOC and Democrats Promote Murder, Not Abortion Rights

"Alexandria, Ocasio-Cortez, is the fakest politician ever. These people are just, they're toxic women, man. They're toxic women. She's protesting at the capitol steps to promote murder. Stop saying abort murder. They're promoting murder. I don't want to hear anybody say anything other than promoting murder. The life of the child, I made a life of the parent that's not technically an abortion. They may list it as an abortion, but that's not an abortion. That is a medical procedure to preserve the life of the mother those procedures will be done, whether you can send to it or not. Because they have an obligation to protect the life to protect life. So let me give you an example. If somehow you were having a, you had a bullet in your intestine, right? Lifesaving measures, they are going to perform surgery on you to save your life. You don't get to make an election. You don't get to say, okay, you know what? I really want to keep that bullet in there and I want to die right here at the hospital. That's not going to happen. This is not like if vasectomy, where you say, you know what, I'm going to set an appointment, and I'm going to go in and get a vasectomy. These are two different things. An abortion is that I'm going to set an appointment, and I'm going to go in and I'm going to kill my baby. That's what this is.

AOC Brags About Voting Down Bill That Would Protect Justices

"So yesterday the House passed this bill, I'm fascinated by the 27 Democrats who voted no. In fact, the Democrats who voted no include as I'm sure you can imagine the squad. AOC and Rashida Tlaib and all those nut cases that are these far, far left wild eyed kooky loony radicals. Do you know that AOC bragged about blocking the bill? Bragged about it. Now, I can promise you that congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez gets protection. Maybe around the clock, I don't know. I don't know how it works. I know that 24/7 protection is afforded to some members of the executive and legislative branches. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted a video to Instagram Saturday about initially blocking the bill. And she ultimately voted to block it in the end too. Well, sure this. She said in the video, I wake up this morning and I start to hear murmurs that there's going to be an attempt to pass the Supreme Court supplemental protection bill the day after gun safety legislation for schools and kids and people is stalled. So we can pass protections for us and hear easily right, but we can't protect past protections for everyday people, I think not.

The Democratic Party Is in Serious Trouble, AOC Warns

"The Democratic Party is clearly in trouble and this is confirmed now by a series of surveys and studies and polls, and even the mainstream media, which would obviously view this as bad news. They've been cheering and trying to kind of prop up Biden now ever since the guy came into office. But evidently those efforts have failed, or put it differently, even though the media has been cheering for Biden, the American people really aren't buying it. And Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez AOC has a sort of diagnosis for why this is so. Now, obviously, I agree with her starting point, starting point, which is the thumbnail of this podcast is we're in trouble. And we here refers to the Democratic Party. So I think she's right about that. Now let's look at AOC's diagnosis as to why that is the case. Because I think ironically that her policy prescriptions are a solution may actually be what's causing the problem in the first place. So here's The O.C.. She says, first of all, and this is an a description in New York magazine that's giving a kind of favorable analysis of AOC. She says that Biden is under a kind of delusion. And the delusion is that the Democrats can reach out to the moderate center and cut deals. And so Biden, she thinks because of his past, he's kind of a backroom politician, light up the cigar, sit down, work out a deal, particularly inside of his own party. She thinks that this is what Biden has been trying to do with people like cinema and especially with Manchin and according to AOC, that is the old Democratic Party. That politics is now antiquated. AOC says quote, I think that there's a real nostalgia and belief that that time still exists. Or that we can get back to that. So apparently according to AOC and again, she may be right about this. There are not a whole lot of mod with Democrats left in the Democratic Party. So the idea that you can bring a guy like Manchin along, she says, was always an illusion that she never sort of fell for it, but she thinks Biden, Biden

Here's actually the hard left politics of representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the so called squad reports axios once a dominant theme for a vast amount of elected Democrats is backfiring big time on the party in power, top Democrats tell us. The latest sign of the backlash was the landslide recall this week of three San Francisco school board members. Here's a kind of a nasty one. Alexandria Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a double minded double standard irritatingly awful woman. Who deserves only what she wants for Republicans. Nobody deserves COVID. I hope she recovers and has an easy time like the vast majority of people are doing. But I'm sure AOC has spouted the talking point. We've had over 800,000 people in America die of COVID. Jen Psaki Breaks With Progressives on Smash-and-Grab Robberies: 'We Don't Agree'

"Is wrong. This crime surge is happening and we must not look the other way. Here was Jen Psaki yesterday in this exchange with Fox News channels Jackie Heinrich. Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot appeared to pass the blame on to retailers for these smashing grads saying that she's disappointed that these stores are not for the security officers who plays them working cameras and chaining up Cayenne bags, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, congresswoman said earlier this week also that she doubted allegations of organized retail thefts which you believed it was a Walgreens in California that cited it with a giant didn't back it up. Does the president believe that organized retail theft is really happening and should it be on the stores themselves to take action to prevent it? Well, we don't agree. And I think our actions and the work that we have had in working with the Justice Department, the FBI and federal law enforcement show that we take, we have seen some of these extremely video extremely disturbing videos showing retail thefts and both major retailers as well as state and local leaders like governor Newsom have identified this as a serious concern. We agree. That's the reason why we have sent additional support from the FBI, providing additional assistance. It's one of the reasons why we have also been the president and members of our administration have been long time advocates for supporting and funding the cops program something where the president proposed almost 300 million in additional assistance through his budget from what it was last year and why we have also provided money to get a Friday provided financial assistance to get money to hire 50 more police officers through the cops program that the president has championed in places like San Francisco and additional 20 officers in Los Angeles. So I think his record speaks for itself on this. We are going to continue to advocate for supporting programs like the cops program, ensuring that our law enforcement are good partners as we're working to address these retail thefts across the country. I'm no fan of the Biden administration. I'm no fan of The White House press secretary, but that's the right answer. It is. We got to stop this insanity of progressives trying to convince the country we shouldn't believe our line eyes. This crime wave the surge in crime is real.

Nobody Wants to Talk About America's Rising Crime

"Everybody, America's becoming a far more dangerous place to live. You know this. Crime is going up dramatically. And almost no one wants to talk about it. And I think it's getting so wildly out of control and of course it's all in Democrat areas with Democrat DAs with police forces that have been completely stripped down with very low morale. Let's start with this. Let's start with cut 7 Los Angeles County deputy district attorney blasts the bad law and bad policy that has contributed to the crime wave gripping the Democrat run city play cut 7. Bad law and bad policy is driving this most recent spike in crime that we're seeing in Los Angeles. If you look at the types of crimes that are concerning us right now, they are directly rooted in that law from the legislature and bad policy from LA county district attorney, George yaska. Third world country is what some of these cities are becoming. But if you ask AOC about it, Alexander Ocasio-Cortez, she says that what we just need to look at them in context and not create hysteria over them. You see, everyone's a tough guy to get mugged on the side of the street. And I mean, the crime issues are really interesting one for me. It really is because I can understand at some point how AOC can convince herself that universal healthcare is better. Obviously, it isn't and all that stuff. I'm really interested though. Has she sat down and actually used her reason for, does she have any? I don't know. For more than 20 seconds and says, ha. When things get more dangerous, I don't maybe don't want to live in those places. This is not a hard one. You know, survival is a pretty easy sales pitch. "ocasio" Discussed on There Are No Girls on the Internet

"I just thought to myself they got inside. It felt like my brain was able to have so many thoughts in that moment. So AOC never said that rioters were in her hallway. That's a claim she never made, but that didn't stop Nancy mace from tweeting, I'm two doors down from AOC and no insurrectionist stormed our hallway. Even though AOC never said they did. Now, in AOC's Instagram Live, she recounted hearing somebody bang on her office door, come into her office and say, where is she? At the time, she was afraid that rioters had found her, but she later realized this person was a capital police officer who was there to help her. Now, after this, we saw really ugly trends on Twitter like hashtag AOC lied and hashtag Alexandria Ocasio Smollett, comparing her to Jussie Smollett to suggest that she was making up her account. Despite it being corroborated by multiple people like representative Katie Porter and Bernie Sanders aide are a Raven. So this is actually a really good example of how disinformation works in real time. This complete distortion of what AOC said has become part of the public dialog, despite it being based on lies. After this, AOC tweeted, the sad thing about disinformation is that once the truth comes out, the damage has already been done. People have already been misled, radicalized and believe lies to the point where their hatred is brewed to violence. That's what led to the 6, and that's what's happening now. And you know what? She's right. After she bravely shared her story of what happened at the capitol and connected it to being a survivor of sexual assault, she faced a coordinated public disinformation campaign. And sadly, this is not an isolated thing for women of color in the public political eye. Leslie Mack is a prominent digital activist and organizer who I work with at ultraviolet, where we create resources to curb sexist racist disinformation, like our media guide that you can find on the show description. And sadly, Leslie really knows what it's like to face these kinds of attacks online. You're a longtime digital organizer, activist, someone who spends a lot of time making the world a better place via the Internet. How did you get into this work? Tell me about your role in this work. Yeah, my role as work started in the digital space in 20 14. I started organizing faith spaces online after I joined Twitter. I had been on Twitter for like 2008 or something, which seems like ages ago. And I had started doing some legislative organizing that way. We were working in New Jersey to ban the box and also some bail reform initiatives. And so a lot of that initial digital organizing work was around legislative work, which was really interesting. And at the time, a little cutting edge, not a lot of folks were doing it, but we kind of dipped our toes in and started organizing folks online. And then after Mike Brown was murdered, feminist Jones had kind of put this call out from Twitter to say, hey, would you be interested in hosting a vigil? And your city this week. And I was like, sure, I could do one in Philly. And I call that the moment that the full digital organizer that is Leslie Mack was born. So that's where I started out with organizing that first vigil of Philadelphia. The national moment of silence. And I guess I liked it because I just kept on going. Yeah, you're kind of a prolific digital organizer. You're someone who I feel is it was one of the sort of when I think about some of the foundational black feminists who were showing up online, I definitely think about you. And full disclosure, you and I worked together at ultraviolet. And so yesterday was kind of a long, wild day for folks who are online and in feminist spaces online because we saw AOC really being at the center of this coordinated right wing disinformation campaign against her after she really bravely shared her story about what happened in the insurrection on January 6th. And her own personal story as a survivor of sexual violence. And so my first question for you is, how do you see disinformation and abuse being linked? Well, they're linked on two levels. And I was talking about this with the yesterday, which is one is at the personal level, which is that abusers in our real lives, our personal lives use disinformation against us. So that tell us lies about ourselves about the world that nobody will love us. And that that's a tool that they utilize at the personal level. And what we're watching is public abusers, right? People that are abusing the system. People that are using people within it, using disinformation for that same purpose, which is to degrade denigrate and deny the experiences, real life experiences of marginalized people. So we're watching that play out with AOC. You know, she bravely not only shared her story, but she went personally one to one to the people, which I think this is such a digital story in and of itself that she took to IG live to have this hour long conversation. And the way I saw it play out. I didn't know she was live until I saw on Twitter. People were tweeting about it. And they were like, wow, AOC is doing XYZ. And I said, oh, let me go over to IG and watch her. So I was watching her and while that was happening, somebody was starting a Clubhouse room to talk about it to debrief it, shout out to Tracy corridor. And then as I was watching it, it said, oh, Katie Porter's going to be talking about this IG live on MSNBC shortly. So it was this moment of like, wow, all of this digital stuff was happening. It was pinging and creating waves all over the place. And then subsequently, that's what we watched was the abusers that AOC was naming in her IG live, namely, folks like Marjorie Taylor Greene and really all the insurrectionists that seditionists elected that supported the coup on January 6th. And they've subsequently now tried to discount her personal experience in this harrowing moment. And it's been wild to watch people just blatantly lie, you know, one of her fellow Congress Congress people said, oh, I'm two doors down from her. And there were no nobody in the hallway. And then we find out that the person evacuated before anything happened. The level of disinformation is really disturbing to watch in real time. Yeah, it is completely like a coordinated attack so you're talking about Nancy maids from South Carolina. So she tweeted yesterday, I'm two doors down from AOC and no insurrectionist stormed our hallway. But that day she herself tweeted on January 6th that she was being evacuated because of this threat. She described it as, quote, a nearby threat. She later did an interview I think on Good Morning America where she said that she was so frightened by what happened that she stayed overnight in her office. She was her motherly instance kicked in and that she was so afraid for her life that she was thinking about bringing a gun with her to Capitol Hill from now on because she was so afraid. And so that's how she talked about it right after it happened. And so it's very telling that now weeks later after AOC, essentially says the same thing that I was afraid for my life, somebody knocked on the door and I was afraid for my life. She's saying that didn't happen. And I think it's really interesting how you see the way that this is coordinated. You know, we saw another big account on the right, tweeting a mapped with arrows trying to indicate that AOC was not in the capital when folks stormed. And AOC herself replied and said, your arrows are wrong. And AOC had a really good tweet where she talked about the fact that disinformation, one of the ways that it plays out is that once it's out there in the public narrative, it doesn't matter if it's not based in reality or if it's an outright fabrication, that becomes part of the narrative for.

Somebody taught her the fresh break the fourth wall and you know she's really trying to go into this space and and teach the people there that they need to pay their fair share. Sure, sure you were. They weren't just rubbing elbows with your favorite people and running in historical that you've been craving your whole life. No, you weren't doing that. Um Yes, She's been attacked by everybody. The Socialists are attacking her. The Socialists are attacking her. One of the country's most famous socialist AOC. The Socialist Party of Ireland, criticized Democratic New York representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez is attendance at the Met gala on Monday as police were reportedly arresting black lives matter. Protesters just outside Ocasio Cortez claimed to be breaking the fourth Wall, says this daily caller coverage and challenging some of the institutions while wearing a dress emblazoned with tax the rich across the back. The Socialist Party's official account challenged her for going to the event. Instead of joining alongside the black lives matter, protesters and the quote, defund the police protesters. Quote AOC should have been out in the streets, not inside the palace. The official political parties account tweeted dining with the class enemy, despite whatever good intentions will alienate you from the working class, they said. Employees did arrest multiple people outside the Met the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Protesters reportedly chanted the name of a guy called Micro Zotto Bronx man who was killed after firing multiple shots off duty police officers. This is who the protesters were supporting the guy who was shooting at off duty police officers. And then was killed for that action. So they really have the best heroes, don't they? And AOC was one of their heroes, but no more at least for this weekend there and they're very angry at her. She should have been outside, but she wasn't she was inside partying. Uh, Pretty funny conversation between a couple of congressman on this subject to yet Congressman Jim Banks. Republican Congressman has been here on our program before we like talking to Congressman banks. He, uh, had tweeted several times this week. His criticism of AOC is hypocrisy hanging out at this, you know, well heeled event. You know, no mask on as the help the servants are off, forced to wear masks at the Met, and he doesn't have to. And did you see when AOC walked in? By the way, her train the train of her dress. Her dress was very elegant. Her train was being carried by a servant with a mask on his face. He was behind her as if she was walking down the aisle at a wedding. He's walking behind her, You know, making sure to preserve her dress because she's looking out for the little people. Uh, so that was happening. So Jim Banks tweets a bunch about this and, uh, he says for Republicans, he said, quote for Republicans. AOC is the gift that keeps on giving. He's not wrong. This is one of the reasons I should stay in Congress for a long time. She's like a perfect caricature of the nonsense on the left. He followed that with a call to quote tax. AOC is dress, which is, of course, worth a lot of money. This this custom bespoke dress that was made for her. So a lot of people comparing it to Chick fil a packaging because it was all white with the red text on. It did look like a chick fil a back, um But You know, it's pretty funny. And so so banks is tweeting about this and Eric Swalwell who, uh, gets owned every time he sticks his head up in public. He just gets destroyed. Swallow responded to all of us. He tweeted three tweets about AOC is dressed, he said. The gym banks do you need a restraining order, he says. The implication being that Jim Banks has only tweeting about SC because he likes her. He's got a crush on her, right. This is the This is the subtext of the Swalwell Tweet. Oh, you're so creepy. You like AOC where your child you need a restraining order.

"Back. Jason Mattera here, guest hosting for Dory. Monsen this afternoon, the top of the hour. We're gonna bring you Joe Biden's press conference live and following that we should hear from Jay Inslee as well as you heard from Aaron and Delivering the news. Biden is going to promote this really, really authoritarian Doesn't mind. He didn't say that there's merit and said, That's my opining on the on the news. But this this mandate for businesses, private businesses with more than 100 people, too. To either test weekly their employees or get the the vaccine And this is really starting to set up like a medical Jim Crow system where the government is telling you. Wow. If you don't inject this government Drug into your body. Then you have to be on this side. And you know there was so many worries and fears and anxieties and chest pounding and pearl clutching of Donald Trump and his fascism. Well, what is this? When you have the government telling a private business, I think a private business I I don't agree with it. Listen, if a private business who wants to have certain requirements to work in an area Probably legally can do so because it is a private business. But the government to tell a private business what they can and cannot do again for a virus that has a A, uh What would you say? Hey, Rate of what would the I mean that is solo. Um, but it has a survival rate of night for most people, 99.98%. This is no. Well, this has not been about covid for a while. Now, if you Haven't figured this out, right? This is about control. It is about a lust for power Once the appetite was wet. I mean inside. Every liberal is a totalitarian just waiting to get out. As author David Horowitz said, And it's true they got they got their, uh, they got their issue in order to have these lockdown and mandates and control who was, uh, you know who is essential. Who is not essential. This was this is like a A progressives dream come true. Oh, my I get to declare whose essential who's not essential I get to declare what you wear on your face, when and where And how. Oh, my guess. And now it doesn't stop. Even though we have gone through 18 months of lockdowns and masks and vaccine pushes and and the cash rate is higher now than it was when nobody had the vaccine. And yet more and more pushes. This is not going to persuade anyone and and in fact You're going to have more and more lawsuits. This is gonna be challenged almost immediately. My private businesses who want to be told what to do by the federal government on On their own, Uh, their own employees. Medical information. I don't want to. I mean, I know, I know. Business owners. Who said, I don't want to know my my employees Medical. It's none of my business. It's none of my bet us know their medical information, and we don't do this with anything else. Well, it is with a virus virus that has a 99.90. Survival rate. But, hey, we're gonna bring this to you live. Uh, the Yeah. Texas abortion law, and that was also news today. The Justice Department is is suing the state of Texas on violating the constitutional rights. Embedded by Rovi Way. It's not going to get the constitutionality has been described by even left wing law professors as threadbare. But, uh Alexandria, Ocasio Cortez, right, the brilliant Congress. Congressman from New York City. The bartender turn, Congresswoman. She is so she's horrified by this New Texas law. And why do we want to play this article? I see this as a little long wouldn't play this, uh Go ahead and started. Okay. Let's start when you're ready. And we're gonna hear is how we We have woke. Politics meets sane thinking and and you can hear. Well, actually highlighted underscore for you. How l C Basically engages in the erasure of of femininity and what it means to be a female in talking about an abortion law that really only effects Females, and here you go. Well, I find Governor Abbott's comments disgusting and I think there's two fold one. I don't know if he is familiar with a menstruating person's body of up. He's not familiar with the men straight Ng person's body. Now Governor. Abbott is married, and he I think he has at least one daughter, So I'm pretty sure he's familiar, probably familiar. But immense trading person's body. Mentioning person, not the female. That person. Fact, I do know that he's not familiar with a woman with a female or menstruating persons. Again and you hear that, Nicole? She almost says a woman. He's not familiar to woman are female, Uh, menstruating person's body. It's like she she realized that she made the woke faux pas there by actually saying that only women Go through the cycle. And apparently can't do that's a full pot, because, as we know men also can get pregnant. Body Because if he did, he would know that you don't have six weeks. Is that quote unquote? Six weeks and I'm sorry. We have to break it down on, you know, Breakdown biology. Want one on national television? But in case no one has him formed him before in our life in his life. Six weeks. Pregnant means two weeks late for your period and two weeks later on your period for any person, any person with a menstrual cycle. Any person with the menstrual cycle have I know and I don't. It's and I was kind of one of these icky topics talk about, but she's on CNN talking about it, but Uh, Nicole. I mean, I just clarify. Have you ever met a man who's you know, gone through a cycle. Hate to put you on the spot. I know you're putting me on the spot, and obviously I have not, but, um, but I think what's more funny here is that she went into this interview. Saying, I'm going to make a point not to say female or woman or whatever. And she almost slipped up three times to say the correcting yourself as a person. She doubled down on Twitter. So everyone pointed this interview out and said, Listen, Come on, You get it. You're being ridiculous. Here. Just say females right you talk about. It's a law that affects females, right? You know, predominantly, And of course, the baby male or female in the female's body, But it affects females, right? It's not gonna affect men. Men aren't going to abortion court. Have you ever met a man who got an abortion? No, Okay. So it affects females. Uh and she's mocked on Twitter and she responds, she doubles down. Uh, it's, uh, the daily mail had had, uh Put out a story. This is AOC calls menstruating people, calls women menstruating people while explaining the female body and AOC that on Twitter goes not just women. Transmit and non buying. Every people can also men street Okay, alright and come on. How do you take these people serious? I'm sorry. It's just they're trying to change our language. That's what I don't like is there's a I mean, I don't care how people live their lives to stop trying to change our language because The world doesn't revolve, but I'm also for everybody, right world revolves around us all I know, but I'm one accuracy and truthful information..

"Alexandria, Ocasio Cortez. Is directly responsible for one of the most destructive actions in New York City history. The congresswoman from the Bronx is an ardent socialist who runs around spouting sympathy and support for the poor and working class. Because of her far left posture. She has become a media darling, Wait a minute. Can I use that word? If not, she's promoted constantly by the leftist press as a force for good. But it is just the opposite, at least where the folks are concerned. You may have heard New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, almost begging affluent New Yorkers to return to the city. Homo is a smart guy who knows a Gotham in the entire state is on the verge of financial collapse because of Cove ID and the vicious, violent crime wave that Cuomo himself. Enabled by signing the insane Nobel law. The governor did that to pander to the radical left, which has become a hobby of hits. Which New Yorkers in many businesses are fleeing the city, taking their considerable tax dollars with them, many will not return. Because who wants to live in the now dangerous place that has marginalized what was once the most effective police force in the nation. The Socialist mayor de Blasio is destroyed the infrastructure of the world's premier financial center. It has been horrifying to watch. Back to Miss Ocasio Cortez. Throughout the pandemic, the Amazon company has prospered as Americans or ordering products from home. Amazon is expanding and hiring. While many Americans were out of a job, Amazon workers are getting paid and have security. You may remember. Back in 2018. Amazon wanted to build a plant in a working class section of Queens. It was estimated that 40,000 jobs would eventually be associated with that plan. Not to mention the huge financial benefits to the surrounding neighborhoods and small business. But a Casio Cortez in all her righteous indignation. Raised health. So in New York City was giving Amazon too many tax breaks, which was absurd. Even de Blasio. So the economic benefit of the corporation coming to town? Part of being attacked by the far left Amazon kill the deal. Knowing thousands of other municipalities would be thrilled to have the plant. "Your congressman Alexandria, Ocasio. Cortez has not been shy about the extent she wants to remake the entire United States economy and certainly how she wants to change things like energy in the United States under her so called Green new deal. It's a Obscenely expensive and simultaneously destructive legislative ambition on she's gotten some sign on from various members of Congress, but she also would like to leverage her concern about those issues for interest in both. Theme, the about energy and commerce into actually being a part of the Committee for Energy and Commerce. And something very interesting happened yesterday. Beverly, Um Yesterday. There was apparently a tough battle going on in the Democratic caucus about who was going to actually be seated. On the Energy and Commerce Committee coming up in the next year. In Alexandria, Ocasio Cortez had a shot. She was based on face head to head with Congresswoman Kathleen Rice, also of New York, and it was open seat. These two women have been battling. Apparently behind the scenes political reports for weeks. To secure this open seat on this exclusive committee, which oversees everything from health care policy to climate issues. Meaning is a big deal job, and it involves a lot of power and They say that everything blew up into the open on Thursday when the two women were facing off. And ultimately, Kathleen Rice prevailed. She won with 46 to 13 vote, meaning Ocasio Cortez will not be seated on this committee. She lost a chance to get that open seat. Now for Congress watchers Remember Nancy Pelosi has a tremendous amount of power here about who gets seeded and who doesn't What speedster actually competitive and what aren't and I got to say I can't help But remember. Earlier this week, Beverly Alexandria Kaze of Cortez going public, saying Nancy Pelosi needs to go boys. She picked the wrong time to do that. There is no love lost between these two women, and I have to say I would love to be a fly on the wall and hear their private conversations that they even speak to each other. But there has been a battle between AOC and what is referred to as the more establishment wing of the Democratic Party. The reason why I think Nancy Pelosi has her way still to this day. Hey, is because it's because of progressives that there wasn't a blue wave. They wanted to go on with the mantra of defund the police. They wanted to talk about socialism. And, of course, AOC is one of their largest spokes members for these type of progressive ideas. I think Nancy Pelosi, who by the way is great. It whipping people whipping people in our Congress to do what she wants him to deal. I think she still has the leverage because it's because of these progressive policies that Democrats lost so many seats in the house. Yes, she has a much smaller class to whip. This time because of people like Alexandria, Causio, Cortez and the lunatic defund the police advocates that were destroying American cities. And then by extension, the chances that power that Nancy Pelosi was hoping to expand. That did not happen this year. So still, Alexander Acosta protest comes out in the beginning of the week and suggests, okay, Nancy Pelosi needs to go. We need to figure out a way to get rid of her as speaker of the house and think about this. I mean, just to give you a sense of what actually played out here. Kathleen Rice beating Alexandria, Cosmo Cortez out For this seat on the Energy and Commerce Committee. Just two years ago, Kathleen Rice was blockaded from a Judiciary Committee seat. By who It would be Nancy Pelosi, Pelosi, Stop Kathleen Rice from getting a seat on the Judiciary Committee. Why Because Kathleen Rice spoke out against Nancy Pelosi becoming speaker. That was two years ago. Now look forward to the coming days as we begin January, and as we as we look at who you know who gets support for speaker of the House and who doesn't Even Kathleen Rice is going to obey. This time. She learned her lesson last time, and now she's been rewarded for her obedience. Now think about that. So is it is pretty interesting Power struggle. Alexandria, Ocasio Cortez. Uh, losing at this this battle for an important spot on an important committee. But of course this is something we're gonna have Tol watch moving forward. I think there is going to come a point in time. Maybe two years from now, or a Nancy Pelosi doesn't have the same power where AOC and her social media influencer star continues to rise because here's what I would say about AOC disagree, thrown all her policies. I don't think there's one thing I agree with her on but what I will give to her. Is she has made a name for herself. She makes the news. She knows how to create news. She knows how to gain attention on social media better than any other Democrat that I know and that counts for something, And I don't think Republicans should add. Underestimate her because I think she has a lot of followers behind her. Yeah, she might. Tic tac Nancy Pelosi right out of the house. A 52 on W E mail were Washington comes to talk. This is what's happened in this country today. Washington's mall. This is what we call.

"Radio. I'm junior. Also, despite having won the presidential election, Democrats are engaged in recrimination. In a conference call among House Democrats. Two days after the election moderates complained about progressive colleagues who had made their reelections more difficult. Claire McCaskill, the former senator from Missouri, said on MSNBC that cultural issues such as abortion and guns had helped Republicans. Alexandria, Ocasio Cortez, the Socialist congresswoman from Queens, shot back on Twitter that McCaskill had lost her election and 2018 and so nobody should listen to her. So who is to blame for the blue wave failure? Ramesh Manu Ruse, senior editor at National Review, and Bloomberg Opinion columnist is here to tell us how Ocasio Cortez, along with many progressives, is refusing to hear what voters said. Tell us about this, this sort of public confrontation between former Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri and current Congresswoman Alexandria Cassio Cortez of New York. So the day after the election, former Democratic senator from Missouri Claire McCaskill with on TV, saying that Republicans had very skillfully exploited cultural issues and painted a picture of the Democrats as not being concerned with frankly that concerns of Missouri voters and Alexandria, Casio. Cortez, uh, hit back pretty sharply, saying that McCaskill had lost her own reelection campaign in 2018. So why should Democrats be taking their cues from her about what they should do now? Do you have any idea about why a O. C. Carry such weight when she's not been in Congress very long, and she hasn't succeeded in passing any legislation. Well, the economy Cortez phenomenon I think has a number of contributors. One is that she's been extremely social media savvy, and another is that she pulled out an upset victory over incumbent Democrat who was part of the Democratic machine in Queens. And that sort of made her a bit of a giant slayer. Combined those things with the narrative that was very popular in the 7 4018 period that there was a sort of left wing surge in the Democratic Party, starting with Bernie Sanders. Surprisingly strong showing in the primaries in 2016, and I think you created this kind of media sensation in Ocasio Court of And you write that the progressives have basically had a misunderstanding of what's been happening the last few years. You know, I think that event sort of conspired to give the left and inflated sense of its own chances and its own sway with the broader public. I think there were signed, for example, in 2016 that Sanders and success in the primaries wasn't really Primarily because he was a socialist. It was it was because he was the alternative to Hillary Clinton, who a lot of Democratic voters had reservations and doubts about But if you were a left wing Democrat, it was very easy to read into that success. What you wanted to read into it, And then there were other things that made people more convinced that their time was at hand. And one of them was the huge media sensation of Ocasio Cortez. Now the fact is most of the Democrats who won in 2018 and delivered the House majority to the Democrats were much more moderate than Ocasio Cortez. But they weren't the kind of a headline producing names that she was. It seems that the Republicans used the progressive wing of the Democratic Party to put this label or to try to put a label of Socialists on Ah lot of Democrats. Even Joe Biden. So did the progressives hurt the Democratic Party in the 2020 election. I think that there were a number of progressive campaigns that put the Democrats in a bad place. So, for example, the slogan of de funding the police had to be constantly explained, and many cases, Democrats have distanced themselves from it hard to see what Democrats and even progressive Democrats Got out of that messaging on did it's something that I think created some headaches for more moderate Democrats. The Democratic Party has nominated in Joe Biden and then elected somebody who was not on the left wing of the party. But somebody who didn't feel that he could repudiate that party couldn't say. For example. You know, be finding the police is the silliest idea I've ever heard of, because it would step on too many toes in his party, and I think it would have been better for him and better for his party if he had had that degree of freedom. So do you think that the 2020 election was a repudiation off the left wing of the Democratic Party? It certainly wasn't a sweeping victory. You could explain a lot of this election by assuming that there's a majority of the public that was anti trump but also majority the public that is anti left. That doesn't not want a sharp turn in U. S policy along the lines of getting rid of private health insurance or getting rid of immigration enforcement, and to the extent that a lot of progressives had convinced themselves that victory for those sorts of radical ideas with it. The hand. It's a defeat for them. It's an uphill climb. But suppose Democrats win both seats in Georgia. Will the progressives be able to then start pressuring? Ah, President Biden? To change things radically. I think that a narrow control of the House and Senate by the Democrats will put a lot of pressure on President elect Biden because there will be people in his party. Who think Well, we've got the trifecta. So let's impose. We've been changed, but the votes are going to be very precarious in the case that they won both of the Georgia special elections. It would be a 50 50 Senate with common Harris, the vice president acting as a tiebreaker, and she might have to spend a lot of her time in the Senate doing exactly that. Um, so in some ways, the road actually gets a little harder for them if they've got this sort of nominal control of.

On Monday, representative Acosta Cortez asked on Twitter if anyone wanted to play the game among us with her on switch to get out the vote. Congresswoman is a known gamer, but she'd never played among us before and said it looked like fun. A bunch of people flooded her replies. "Lead as much as anyone else by Alexandria Ocasio Cortez who now believes maybe they don't maybe we have the post office takeover banking the White Wednesday is Hey we have a not for profit public option for basic banking services and we should be piloting this project through the US postal service any other number of ways yeah I mean most people when they think of efficiency thank yeah I will the the post office sure Toots would be great last week the news emerged that Alexander Ocasio Cortez will not be paying her Democrat dues it's tradition that are members of Congress have to kick in a considerable sum of money to the party which Nancy Pelosi then uses to dole out in close election races and now Alexandra Ocasio course Cortez said mom I'm not I'm not doing that but her reasoning was quite interesting she said why should I be forced contribute to contribute to a group with whom I share employment with the message of what they're doing the candidates they support is not aligned with what I want them to do well that's interesting because you do support forcing individuals to pay into the union coffers when the unions support candidates that an employee might not want to back but then again it goes back to the original rule do as I say not as I do joy Reid this how bad the Democrats have it folks joy Reid making the statement that because of Donald Trump **** are walking around America these people are crazy the end of the of the of because I think what we're what we're kind of all getting to is Donald from we were talking about this in the in the make up room a little bit as well he produces a kind of anxiety in people that is so profound it's part of the reason people are obsessively watching this show and and Rachel Maddow is like major matter was sort of their psychologist at this point because people are afraid of not just what he can do what he's doing to people what is bringing out in people the kind of people he's surfacing in the United States you whiting happening in **** walking around for it it is a scary time and you look at the polling on what Donald Trump is just done and rather than make people feel more confident it's made people more anxious so here's the anxiety level in twenty eighteen verses twenty nineteen people are more anxious do people feel safer after the strike on Iran they feel less safe the anxiety everything he does makes people feel worse do you think that that we downs in particular to any particular candidate running the notion just practically that energy is contagious yeah and it's disproportionately contagious when you have more influence so the elevated nervous system of trump the anxiety of trial gets communicated both to his supporters and to his antagonise so we all feeling for let's.

"We have a great interview with Bill Bennett. Bill Bennett is very cerebral. He's very thoughtful. He's kind of the one of the wise men of the Reagan administration, and we cover a lot of ground, and you're going to really enjoy it. I'm sure. What else are you gonna do? Ten pm on the east coast Sunday night. Seriously. What are you going to do? Watch endless reruns on on one of the cable channels come out. China's you don't wanna watch this stuff. I won't do it. Promise. I got plenty to do. But I think this is a very very important program. It's a full hour one on one or one onto and we invite. Xanada ocasio Cosso, whatever we invite her. They come on the program Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders hit his head on the shower. Did you see this on the edge of the Sherry had seven stitches? That's not like an accident. Do you really have to slam your head? Banging your head against what are you doing? Exactly. And what is it with Democrats in their showers? Remember Harry Reid at a black guy because he shower, Mr. producer. How do you get a black eye from shower? I can see you get a cut on your face on your head on your back. Whatever a black eye. What is it with Democrats? They don't know how to shower. We know they don't have the dry know how to drive we we know Kennedy and Chappaquiddick. Anyway, he's got the seven stitches in his head there. Maybe he lost a little bit of his Marxism. Although I don't think so. We'll get back to him in a minute. But we want to get back to beta dork, and he was in Iowa yesterday, saying all kinds of brilliant, things capitalism is racist. What else? Listen to this one. So all those him. He doesn't say anything. He got actually listen cut through the platitudes. And then you can tell what he's saying. Cut thirteen go. There were five justices..

"Elrushbo eibnet dot US. I just made an observation here about Alexander ocasio contests. And that is that she's a media creation. Now, some people might disagree. No rush. No. She came out of nowhere. She beat that old dinosaur Crowley in her district, and that launched her do not do not make the mistake of thinking that Alexander Casio Cortez is anything, but a maybe a creation. She is thoroughly and totally media creation, which means that at some point, and it will happen. The media is going to try to take her out. You look, you know, as well as I do that. It's not just media. This is this happens to be a tendency throughout all of our society, and culture, we build people up we build up, and and we love to see how many people wanted to see the patriots Lewis Sunday just to see Tom Brady, not Dauth that bad as don't Cobb on admit, it, you may even be one of them. It's just the way we are. It's it's human psychology. It just happens. We love seeing the powerful fall. It makes us feel better about ourselves. I don't wanna get too deeply in the weeds on this. But the idea that it's not a real thing is absurd. It is. But the media intensifies this in people that they have chosen to make this is why they can't destroy Trump. They didn't make him. And if I may the reason why all their efforts to separate you as my audience me have failed because they had nothing to do with building this you and I did this together starting thirty years ago, and you've hung in here, despite I don't know how many attempts they have made. Two separate you from me to get you to listen to take this program out, but with Cortez, and there's any number of other examples like this. I could give you with Alexander Cossio Cortez. Nobody would know who she is outside of New York City if it weren't for the national drive by media. So the day is gonna come the day is gonna come and somebody's gonna tell somebody to take her out. And this is why there have been so many people paying attention to the democrat dinosaur leadership in the house reacting to her and this new band of millennial freshman that she's leading around. I do not misunderstand something the Democrats are thought to be unified. And they are when it comes to agenda items and objectives and their collective hatred for us. But they're like any other organization, there's a pecking order, there's a leadership, and that takes a lot of time and work and devotion trust not to get into that small leadership circle. So one of the things that's always amazed me about the left and journalists. The journalists have always pushed communist leaders in dictators are somehow enamored of them. They envy their power. They would be the first people sent to jail in a legitimate communist takeover. They would not be invited to all the cocktail parties and the policy discussions they'd be packed off to jail along with their computers typewriters or whatever else they use phones. To report the news. They would be silenced and shut up and they're the first to go, and they do not realize this. Well in the democrat party leadership Nancy Pelosi. I don't care what you think of her. She may be you may think she's out to lunch. She may be turning. A little out of it and stuff, but make no mistake about something. She runs that place. And there's no upstart little chrome cruncher, let's gonna come along and change that. Andy if these upstarts go too far in challenging her. They are going to be taught a lesson. As is the case with all young upstarts, they are fearless. And think that the old people are just a bunch of old people that don't get it anymore. Their time has come and passed, and it's just a matter of time before they wield control of the baton from these ageing dinosaurs. But these ageing dinosaurs are like anybody else with power they never willingly give it up. Just doesn't happen. So the day is gonna come where she's gonna make somebody mad or she's going to be too successful and will legitimately challenge somebody that has more power than she has. And they're not going to be interested in working with her and welcoming you're in because you're not going to trust her. So they're going to take her out this happens. I mean, Soviet leaders were routinely targeted for assassination. They tried to kill Gorbachev during Peres threat to and glasnost. He couldn't believe it. But they did in the left. We have this vision of them that they're all friendly that they're all committed and that they all love each other. And that they're all unified and support a they are not they never have been a link any other group of people. They've got the good guys the bad guys the bad actors. They've got people don't nobody trusts like any other group of people some people just disliked other people are like a lot. It's it's no different their usefulness. Is what is the determining factor? And when there is a decision that their usefulness has come to an end, and they're gone. It may not be ceremoniously, but still it's a vicious vicious a bunch of people. And having political power is one of the rarest and Ross forms of power in this country. And you're not gonna just let a bunch of upstarts really don't know what they're doing come in. And take it from you. Now, the media loves her because they think she's good copy good story that another thing. Good guest. I don't know what their value judgments on these things are suspect. I that's right. What be Goldberg is. All ready slammed Cossio Cortez. One time. The babes on the view are classic. They're not gonna sit here and let this become more popular and more relevant in their world. That they think they are. And by the way, I don't have to say this. But when it's women it can be vicious. They can be just as competitive and vicious and cutthroat as the next guy. That's not. That's not something widely said, but it is widely understood. So it's going to happen. I don't pretend to know when I don't pretend to know what's going to cause it, but I can tell you that they're already signs out there. Of trouble. Smoke signals are being set up from various areas in the drive-by media, for example. Tom brokaw. Whoopie would be I your Tom Brokaw. But Tom Brokaw has just I think been sent out by the democrat old guard. To issue a warning. He went on PMS NBC today, which is okay. SEO protests playground. Brokaw. Went over there today to blame both sides for the shutdown. Let me translate that for you. When the old eminence of the democrat party under the guise of the anchor of the NBC nightly news, Tom Brokaw in the midst of the shutdown. In the midst of a shutdown and wish the Democrats and the media are totally trying to blame Donald Trump. All of a sudden here comes Tom Brokaw. On MSNBC. Blaming both sides for the shutdown that is Democrats speak for we've got a political problem here. Brokaw is saying that the Democrats find themselves now in a risky situation. And he followed it with this. You've got the young people running through the halls who are the new members of congress who are conducting pep rallies every day instead of getting together with the more moderate people. Let me tell you who he's talking talking about. He's talking about none other than Al exander, yo Casio Cortes. You've got the young people running through the halls. So this means there has been a message sent the leadership itself doesn't want to be seen as having issued this warning. So they call somebody is unassailable. I in areas of trust and reputation meant they call Tom Brokaw, and they said, Tom. What do you think of this wild bunch of teenagers at running around chasing down Mitch McConnell and so forth, and they gave him a little guidance on what to say, and he goes out. There says we got some political riskier hit he's totally aiming that allegation at Alexandria ocasio Cortez. Why what this means is is that the Pelosi Steny Hoyer leadership in the House Democrat leadership in the house is getting concerned over the fact that this woman is out of control, and is becoming a bigger personage than any of her achievements warrant, and as such is becoming the face, and thus a target for the opponents to point to as, hey, if you really wonder how nutty these Democrats are just check out Alexandria, ocasio Cortez. And then she'll blige's my going on core. Kobe last night. Saying I give zero f bombs about criticism from Democrats. So she's responding to it. She knows it. Democrats are not happy with her. But she doesn't care. She went on went col- bear last night said she gives zero f bombs she used the word. They bleeped it in the show. But she used the word zero apps about the pushback she's received from challenging establishment Democrats. Colbert, Astro Kanta scale from zero to some how many f bombs do you give Cossio contests? I think it's a zero. Now right now, the media is protecting her from scrutiny. They've made her a star. She thinks media and social media attention is due to her credibility and her intelligence and our accomplishments. But it's not she is the latest vessel that the left can use to make socialism even more attractive than they've been able to make it and just sell it. She's young some people think she's attractive. And. Oddball election gave her a platform. So she become an overnight celebrity like Christine ballsy Ford. David camera hog, and she thinks her celebrity makes her credible. But it doesn't it makes her valuable until she isn't and she's not going to be the one to determine when she's valuable or when she's not. And it's only a matter of time before this happens. So let's go to the audio soundbites. This is yesterday in Harlem this the fourth annual M L K now celebration. Journalist and author tonight. He see coach who is a rabid. Leftist so-called intellectual was interviewing I'm exemplary ocasio Cortes, and the journalist and author come caught said talk about marginal tax rates. It's an economic question. But it's also a moral question. Are we comfortable.

"And congressman Okaz you Cortez. Did that today more effectively than any other member of the house representatives could have done it because of that fame, and there is apparently no one in the house representatives who understands fame and knows how to use fame better than congresswoman ocasio Cortez who does not need a staff to explain Instagram to her or any other social media. Or mass communication tool including how she should handle herself on Stephen Colbert show. She went to the Senate chamber looking for Mitch McConnell after she checked the majority leader's office adjacent to the Senate floor. And she was told he wasn't there. But it's a large office suite with plenty of places to hide. But what are you going to do the staff says majority leader, isn't there? Every majority leader also has a separate Senate office that is granted to him as a regular member of the Senate, representing his state and so- cars Makasi. Oh Cortes took the Senate subway over to the Russell Senate office building where McConnell's Kentucky Senate offices a place where he rarely sets foot here. She is on the subway on the way to that office hashtag, where's Mitch. We went to Mitch McConnell's often where we went to the Senate cloakroom. Aware hashtag wears Mitch. Here is the congressman at the end of her search in the Russell Senate office building. He's not he's not in the capital. He's not in the Russell building. He's not in the floor of the Senate and eight hundred thousand people don't have their paychecks. So where's Mitch? Where's mitch? He wasn't on the Senate floor. He wasn't in the cloakroom. He wasn't in any of his offices. There's one more place that congresswoman Makasi oh Cortez could have gone, but it wouldn't be easy to find. There's no marking on the door. It is Mitch McConnell's hideaway that is literally what it's called a hideaway senior senators like McConnell, get an extra office some of them smaller than their official office. Some of them quite grand, and they are secret rooms in the capitol building near the Senate floor with no markings on the door. And it is the one place where a Senator can go and literally hideaway today. Mitch McConnell might have actually been using his hideaway as the place to literally hideaway from congresswoman Alexandria, Cossio Cortez. The place to hide away from the Innis. The fact that this shop now belongs to Mitch McConnell. Donald Trump started it and Mitch McConnell is doing everything he can to keep it going for Donald Trump. He is not using the powers of his office. The way Nancy Pelosi is to solve the problem that Donald Trump handed to them. He is using the powers of his office to block a solution to the shutdown and so the shutdown continues..
