"Rough trip. A truck fell off. A truck actually ended up in the actual seat, but I can't remember the details of it because it was doing that many traps. But that's only bad costing that I remember. But I think if you're not used to boats, especially call them mentality, they figured it was rough. I mean, some of them weren't bad, but there's obviously the odd storm that does come through. Absolutely. I mean, to cook straight. Yeah, yeah. I mean, but there was only one trip that I remember that was really bad. And that was the ones that have actual truck actually went into the ocean. And actually, you actually, I think, I think they lost it. Does that ever make the news? I can't. Remember hearing about a track falling off of theory. Yeah, yeah. It did make the news. I think it was blue bridge. I mean, on the other occasion, due to due to the timing schedules, I did go on the one of the intra islanders. Do you hear me, can you hear me? A loud and clear at the moment, can you hear me? Yep. Yep. You keep disappearing off my screen. You must be going through rough patches or something. Yeah, just on the road at the moment, the reception where I'm at the moment always pretty patchy is part of the UK, but there we go. Now, you've pulled about theories. I did indeed not as interesting since your callers, but back in the early trick that has lived in New Zealand and I played in a band played in a band that traveled and kicked all the way on both islands. The New Zealand always had some doing the crossing. We had a contra arrangement which I'm sure you're talking about is where we get free travel in return for gigging. On the intro island, that's what we used today. So Gigafactory on the inside. When it was a smooth crossing, it was it was a lot of fun, but that obviously that didn't happen too often because there's quite a lot of crossing. So the number of times we had to check back to our microphone stands while we were playing water street times. We never used some ported, but they were there. They were definitely there in one time as well. What no, it was the first time we actually did the crossing. There's like a service kind of drive where you drive your vehicle up to kind of where the loading areas for the little performance area. So we drove our band additional ton of spiral area and we offloaded all of our gear, we completely forgot due to the suspension of the van. When we offloaded all that gear, because we actually got the fan wedged on the set of roof area of this very oh, I can see how that happened, right. Yes. Of course, a little bit of damage to the ferry that we didn't show them a little bit north and we didn't know and we managed to lower the gear back in and the suspension drops and we're able to reverse out so yeah, but that's sometimes lots of good memories across on the ferries during the gigs lots of fun. Were you with the same band? Would I recognize the name of said band? Probably not. We were in a facial truby band. Called The Beatles. And we played all around all of our New Zealanders for about four or 5 years, mainly because of clubs in the RSAs. Oh, we did my mongoose, the New Year's Eve on the beach we headlined that. That was a lot of fun too. But mainly sort of cozy clubs in RSAs. A Beatles cover band, good on you, kiss, so what did you play? Well, on the left handed bass player and a singer, so I did the McCartney thing, and I ran it as well. I was the boss I was the head on show and I'm still doing a professional musician thing 23 years later. So I have New Zealand to thank for that for allowing me to wear to pursue the old musical thing. Oh, wow. So you're still doing beetle tributes in the UK? Is that what you're doing or doing something else? Now, in fact, I'm off to a wedding tonight. So we're giggling tonight. What time is it here? It's 45 or whatever it is so I need to get a move. But if you get a move on, but yeah, we're all good. So yeah, still there should have stayed 23 years later. Good to hear from you, kisser. Really good to hear from you. Call again. Cheers, rose. Thank you very much. All right, mate. Happy driving, safe driving, all that. Grab Nigel while he's in Nigel, you're there. And should be rewarded. That ain't going tournament trailer. I fell off the theory. It was a full load of pork. It was a T and L one. And what happened was designed at guys, but dinky should have been walking around taking the chains and say and they didn't. And here they got into suspension makes because it was sitting here and of course the trailer dropped on the beach in because the bags weren't pumped out taking it up and the Chinese came loose and she just went straight out of the side so it's still sitting in the middle of the street with a load of pork in it. And back in the days it was back in the 80s all week on the island theories we are mostly trying to tugs on there by the way units are used to sit out of a trailer used to tie the trailers onto the bike now we used to do 7 days on and then we had 7 days off we got time for our 7 days off and we were on the air for the next 7 days or only used to take three and a half days to date a crossing between Wellington and pectin. So every three years they were woken up to go and hop on a truck drive it off hop out electro in another one and drive their back on the bike and that was that was back to now was one main one truck. You might have 6 guys working and then allowed it and picked and then you have a sex attack and Wellington and reload there. One that you're talking about they ran between one to the little ten years to leave at night at 6 o'clock at night and get in at 6 in the morning. And then it would leave down for so long and live well and a 6 at night or get a little turn at 6 in the morning and then on a 6 o'clock date night and go back up and get into wounds and at 6 the next morning. I thought it was an overnight, but I was young. They. By law, you are not only unlocking cabinet seat. By law you know in Adobe. Now the underarm does DJs every night because they do what they call a freight run, right when the car take each other back, but it's still in the dry dock and said that he'd done us 25 years later, but she does around at night to get down about 8 30 out of Wellington gets on the bat midnight. How about 12 and two? And to pick then, share your Sprite island and you'll type draw this, but it will not take person years and cars. Because it takes them to do day days. And they put them up on the outside deck at the back. And that shows the way that the cherries tell them that I've got a Valentine that does fried only, she's done around each night. And so they do the kind of that way, and they don't every day. They are played by George originally was started by a guy by the name of Jamie ocasek, transport. And which also started that break lines. Okay, that name is popping up all the time on the texting as well. Jim died, but her son ran the right lines of freight car to side of it. And the daughter ran the shipping side of it. And Franklin Jim died, they sold that they sold freight lines of solid to strike it. Stanley strikes shipping, which is. Now owned by an American bankroll finance company which has torn out with one of the cruise lines. I was like tied up with the strike shipping table notes on the bottom of Australia from Tasmania, guys across to the all in the net best great shipping in there as well. That's all that was made as well. So now looking at what the other one is. Blue budget is looking at converting a couple of retired cruise ships. There's what the car taking was. That's why she's licensed to carry it. I live in a hundred passengers, or 1600 passengers, because she was a cruise ship. And that director looking at converting two large passenger cruise liners and therefore blowed by just looking at replacing the F sheps with. You're a mine of information there. Nigel, good on you. You can save a size than anybody in New Zealand. Every time in New Zealand, they charge on a willing to bow. They get a better competition startup that counts right the prices. And then what happens is they put the other people in their business while under tried that, but they lost that competition with play bridge because they actually fight for it together. But we're quite often you get a trailer out there you've got undermined and naval books because what ends is royal jump setting guy. We want to put 30 thousand tons of rail on. So they get priority. So I'll take space and then what happens is I have a book you attract I've already not believe it and say right now you want to see the 5 cuts over to you on your sailing and vice versa. They work together. Okay, well not very competitive then but I suppose it gets the trackies across the nets and most important thing. Paying out, taking out which is now moved to stacks. I've just bought a boat. They're going to start doing something. And also at this point, another one that does and no one here, they're both here from Nelson to Plymouth,

"I want to say stole a fucking box of t-shirts. He picked up a box. And we just walked right out of the guns. Right out the back door. Literally the back door. Of the guidance. I think a box of t-shirts is something I don't the rest was a blur after that. Yeah, Anita baker saw the alarm, or if you had a Boston as the story goes, me and Jack and they got off the tour bus at the top of the alley that led to the venue, they thought they were in the back of the venue and the band starts walking down the Jack hung out with them for a minute. Got their autographs. They signed Jack's paycheck that he never cast. So we got to meet the alarm. Those dudes couldn't have been fucking older than us. I think we were in our early 20s, probably 20. 19? Dudes with just as young as us. B would be bad company, first concert I ever saw. Boston gardens, again, so a lot of these at the boss of guns, a spit hit away, funny thing about bad company is there was probably like 15 of us, and we were in the balcony, but we wanted to get down into the press box. Now the press walks back then back then wasn't like a press box per se today. Press box was kind of a lower level to the balcony, like a step down. And it was for the writers and reporters and they could see everything. It was right at the center ice or center court, the bruins of the Celtics and somehow my brother Colin mentioned to him again. He was leading the pack in my older brother and proceeded to kick everybody out of the press box that had tickets. We were fucking hooligans. And we all just took the seats, no one could get us out. We were assholes. Bad company. Yeah, hooligans, before there was even a name for the mob. We ended up like I said, sitting in the press box, the whole show. Which weren't our seats. I think the rest of the people just would disgusted, they left. So bad company, then it would move on to see the cause. One of the most boring bands I ever saw live, great music, great sound, great everything. Fucking the cause of the cause, but they were not exciting on stage. There's not much going on in that stage show. You've got the music, you've got some walking around, Ric ocasek, like a fucking matchstick. Sitting there and fucking dude was so skinny. I swear I used a tampon tube as a sleeping bag. That fucking dude is skinny. Jesus. Fucking skeleton with sunglasses. In a fucking big black

"What are they going to front funny Holly? I believe is written about this lovely Korean lady. Funny to think of her as a lady out when she was that much older than us, but she seemed like an old lady. And I think I don't recall anyone ever giving her a hard time, but it might have looked like that to rivers. Because when we're fucking going to her house, I'm not I remember. She had a piano. So rivers was all about vocal rehearsal. Because he's like, I want this to sound good. Right. And we would go over there, sing incredibly poorly. All of us. Yeah. But it was her piano. So maybe one day we said something offhanded and he wrote about it. I don't know. My friend of mine at the SMC lent me a keyboard and I wrote a couple of songs that featured that synth sound very heavily. And yeah, I got this idea like, okay, this first record is going to be, you know, the color is going to be the acoustic guitar and the harmonica and then the next record is going to be all synth and new wave and that's why the first song is on pickers and have synth. But then after that, none of the songs have pinkerton too, because I had given up on the synth idea. I was open enough to the idea of recording Buddy Holly at the time. Oh, you know, we had Michael and Carly was going to be the tenth song and it just as we were recording. It was clear that Buddy Holly was much much cooler track. And so Michael and Carly was relegated to B side, which I don't think it came out until the deluxe edition. I had to best Friends producer Ric ocasek, lobbied hard for weezer to record Buddy Holly. Even making an actual sign he held up at the band to request it during pre-production. It certainly wasn't obvious hit. During mixing show remember stepping out of the control room and catching a studio reception is coming into herself. And you'll never find a voice I don't care what they say about us the way I don't care about that just before they finished recording. Weezer fired cropper and Cuomo replaced all of his guitar parts. Crapper still convinced he was can mostly because of his relationship with his then girlfriend. Now his former wife, who was unpopular with the bammies. She was pregnant with the first child and defying Cuomo's no girlfriends while were recording role. She flew to New York to visit cropper. He also thinks sharp had it out for him. Maybe it was jealous that he'd written the guitar intro to my name is Jonas. Sharp gently says none of that is true. Instead, sharp says a series of tiny infractions. Led him to believe that the band's overall chemistry was at risk. Cuomo felt if they were going to make a change, it had to be before they finished the first album and shot the album cover. For cropper, it was a tough road at times. They eventually reconciled with Cuomo and told him he was grateful for all the years he got to spend with his family. Instead of on the road. People in the LA music scene could be shockingly callous. One Booker casually told cropper, gosh, I'm surprised you haven't killed yourself. Cropper whose kids have grown up, performed with Cuomo in 2018. I'm not just an ex member of the band. I'm a huge fan. I love to go see them play. And any chance that any of them would have welcomed me on stage or in the studio, I would be there in a heartbeat. Anyway, weezer needed a replacement fast and settled on a great looking guy that's seen around LA. Sharp was pretty sure Brian bell could play, but he wasn't entirely positive. Bill food in New York just in time to squeeze in some background vocals on weezer's debut. When he arrived at their hotel, he knocked on Cuomo's door and discovered that the frontman had grown a robust cop mustache. Cuomo told him, first thing is, you have to grow a mustache because we're all going to have mustaches on the front cover. Are you sure about asked him? Fortunately, Cuomo wasn't sure. Got word that he would be sharing a room with Patrick Wilson. So I go to pat's room and pat goes, he's like, welcome to weezer, and he just pulls his pants down in moons me. I'm like, what the hell have I stepped into? What kind of nerds are these? Yeah, yeah. In classic 90s fashion, Cuomo almost immediately realized he hated being a rockstar. Weezer were hesitant to do music videos, but got along with a young director Spike Jones. The only guy to pitch a sweater song video without any images of a sweater. When they teamed up with him again for a Buddy Holly video, he came up with a happy day's theme. Buddy Holly took over MTV in hall rock radio. The blue album started selling big. Weezer were stars. They're not quite the kind they wanted to be. Put quite simply when we were making our music and making our record, I seriously thought we were the next Nirvana. And I thought the world was going to perceive us that way. Like a super important, super powerful, heartbreaking, heavy rock band, and a serious artist. That's how I saw us. The first clue that the world would see it slightly differently came in a lunch with their A&R guy, who praised the humor of some of Cuomo's lyrics. Even using the words, comical band. It was just like a gut punch. And that's when I started to realize the world wasn't going to see weezer like I did. And the world wasn't going to see the blue out like I did. I am I can sweater song in particular with misunderstood. Yeah, it was like a song about my darkest thoughts and it became clear like everyone else who hears this song is gonna think it's hilarious. Well, that was one of the first songs I wrote for that album. And I was definitely trying to copy the pixies. It wasn't any kind of like marketing angle, like, oh, I should do a college rock type of song. It was more just that I love the pixies and I gotta figure out how to be exactly like them. Cuomo didn't enjoy touring. In part because of an entirely self imposed mandate to play the same set list in the same order, nearly every night. He wrote a lovely ballad called longtime sunshine that strongly suggested he wanted to quit rock and roll in college on the east coast, and get married. He became obsessed with classical music. Asking for piano in every hotel room, and seeking out opera performances on the band's European tour. He also began sending out applications to elite universities. Here's Brian bell. He definitely told me and Matt once like, I think I want to go to school back to school or study classical music and be a classical musician. I'm like, are you dude dude? Okay. I'm like, it's like I did it again. Like where I'm like, okay, cool. Nice wanted to get away. I was so, so unhappy with life on the road and life in the band and wanted to, yeah, everything you hear in that song, I wanted to find a girl and get married and go to college and learn and become a composer. Cuomo picked Harvard after he realized he didn't have enough formal musical training for Juilliard. His first choice. No one in the band would admit to worrying that it was all over when Cuomo matriculated. But it was definitely unnerving. He was disillusioned and we were like, what the fuck? Can we please keep doing this? In the end, Cuomo's bandmates were correct. Weezer's weird story was just beginning. Score not. In the fall of 1995, Cuomo enrolled at Harvard, strolling through the leafy campus, just as he had dreamed. No one bug him. It was as if weezer never happened. There were papers to write, piles of reading to do. But here's the thought that soon came to his mind. It wasn't long though, like maybe a couple weeks before I was like, I kind of want to go back to being in a band. My love is so high take her. "Someone is called the demo made it to tab Sullivan, an A&R guy at geffen, which became the one major label to show interest in weezer. Sullivan had some trouble getting them at first. Comparing their demo to the Ramones in the descendants as well as the pixies. And coming away from their live show, wondering if they were British. Weezer signed a geffen for a modest deal and sharpened Cuomo had every intention of producing an album themselves. Sullivan convinced him otherwise. Cuomo had been listening to the car's greatest hits. And became excited at the idea that the band's leader, Ric ocasek, would produce the album. Ocasek, liked what he heard. What did it go to from what did we ocasek persuaded the band to travel to his home base in Manhattan and record an electric lady studios. Sharp and Cuomo had come up with all sorts of rules. Banning the use of reverb and assisting on only downstrokes on guitar. Their engineer, Chris Shaw, explains there was one overriding concept. The idea was that the guitars and the bass were one huge ten string instrument. The way all the base and the voice was just, they want everything to sound like one big monster guitar. There's very few songs in the record that actually have a baseline that drifts away from the guitar is doing. And I think the only benchmark we had, it was sort of like the loudest guitar record at the time was probably creeped by radiohead, you know? They're going to guitars in the course come in. They just obliterate everything. And so when you were doing the mixes, we were checking to make sure our guitars were just as loud. It's not louder than creepy. And you know I don't know your mind Cuomo had written a song called Buddy Holly. Using a friend's core keyboard to add 80s inspired synth parts. In his mind, it was intended for the band's second album, which would be more keyboard oriented in new wave influence. Wizard, of course, never made such an album. But sharp and Cuomo were also concerned that Buddy Holly could become the kind of 90s hit. That could kill a man. Oh no what would you here's drummer Patrick Wilson again? It was the wrong narrative. I think he felt like in fact the Buddy Holly, he didn't even want to record. Because he had a sin flying and in his mind, he had a map of, okay, the next record, we're going to do like an 80s thing. Blah, blah, blah. So really, the story of weezer is plans gone wrong. Yeah. That's life then. But I love it. Because Rick was like, no, this song has got to be on the record. That means the river is a lot, actually. He'll have a certain mindset about something. And somebody with authority will come out and go. That's actually the best way to go. But rivers to his credit will listen, even if it doesn't feel right. He knows the person's right..

"All right, you're up, Tom. All right, well, you know, just a piggyback a little bit before about the car is that I recently learned something with Ric ocasek's death. You know, just again, the Googling things. And when the first because I remember when the first cars album came out and it blew up, it was big when I was in high school. It was huge. And when I come to learn, and then he died, I don't know, the whole time frame for me was kind of, you know, honky, but he was 35 years old when that first album came out. And I mean, for the, you know, for a music career. For a rockstar, 35 years old, you know, and then just like, you figured it was so big and I mean, they obviously they did some things thereafter, but it was like, well, what happened to them, you know? Well, you got old, you know what I mean? You know, you kind of age out of the whole thing, you know? They had a sound though. They had that sound. Oh yeah. That was kind of eternal. But I'll tell you what, fucking boring and concert. I've heard that fucking stereotype. They just stand there, yeah, yeah. The eagles look like they're who? It wasn't quite like over in the over in the UK, the Manchester, the madchester era when they had the gays gays rock with these guys that just looked down at their feet. And they played like you said, Mark, like 12 minutes songs. Just chance, but they would never look at the crowd. They just gazing at their feet. I worked. I worked with one of England's most famous shoe gaze musicians. He left music to become a Porter at the natural food store and worked at. That was called slow dive. There are pretty well-known in England. They're considered rockstars, but he went to go out into a bank called monster movie, but when I worked there, someone goes, that's Christian Seville from slow diversity. But he went back to music, he just got tired of it when it comes to America, but he was one of those original shoe gaze where they did work though. It was the music. Lent itself to that kind of inactivity, I guess, or that. That sound. I love that sound. Oh yeah, me too. But the car has ever seen him like it with midnight special and it just did there. I saw them at the pasta gun. They played two nights at the Boston garden, probably around 81. And their hometown band, and the first night they played, let the good times roll, and then they didn't play it the second night. And as you all know, we go to concerts to see certain songs. Are we want to see certain songs along with the band itself? But overall, if I was going to rate it on a scale of one to ten, the sound was okay because it was the Boston gods the old Boston guys. It was fucking an acoustic nightmare in there. We then drunk. Fucking stoned. Whatever one of my buddies is doing on my other friends. Other illicit drugs, not me. But I don't know. But yeah, just to watch them, it's like, okay, I can fucking stare at the album cover and do this. You know, it's like that I saw them check the box and you move on. Move on. All right, so you're disappointed. It's not a show. You're watching him rehearse. The band were like that, too, apparently the band didn't talk to the audience much..

I mean, just the fact that just picking up a guitar and accidentally playing the right three chords can spark an inspiration in you to create something I mean, I was living in New York. Just taking a walk would inspire you just the energy of the city. The other thing that inspired me a lot was working with some guys who have a very, very, very, very hard core work ethic. They pursue a piece of music. Like they're hunting or something. You have to stick it out and keep working at things. Once the inspiration hits, it goes away. And the rest is very much like sweat. "Buddy Holly. The song by Weezer that was written by Rivers Cuomo and released as the second single from Weezer's debut album. The blue album. It was released September 7th on this day in 1994. That was Buddy Holly's 58th birthday. Okay, quick Now how old would Buddy Holly be today? I flunked algebra one so I can help you here, but Somebody on the crew here will come up with that number anyway, the lyrics to this song. Not only reference Buddy Holly, but also Mary Tyler Moore gets a mention here, and it was produced by Ric Ocasek of cars. And apparently Rivers Cuomo after he wrote the song thought, I don't think so. Let's not put it on the album. He thought it was cheesy and didn't represent the sound he was pursuing for Weezer, but Ocasek persuaded him to include it in fact. Is a story about the recording session where the guys came in, and Ocasek had written little Post it notes all over the place in the studio, saying We want, Buddy Holly, and so they ended up doing it. How old would he have been today? 85 wow. That's crazy When you think that He'd only be 85 today..

"By the way, one more bit from the Oscars simply because I can't take this deal. You know, the old supermodel pulling in the ports of COVID. She can't put this down. Did you hear about the picture she posted on Instagram with her new boyfriend that the writer Aaron Sorkin, big prick, but a brilliant writer? You know, she got all intense and over the top because some people made a case about the couple's age in this picture outside the Oscar festivities. I don't give people really didn't say anything too bad. She just continually wants attention this one. I mean, pulling it did not look good in the picture. She went for old Hollywood glamour. She wound up with all Vegas hooker. I'm sorry. I love the way she looks. She's a knockout. If I had a shot with her, see ya. The styling was terrible. She usually looks amazing. But I gotta agree with some of the comments that were made. I read to Instagram posts. They weren't kind of ageist. You know, it's like when people say to older people, oh, you're so spry. You're feisty. Fuck those aren't compliments when you're older. We know what that means. And really, there's no reason why Pauline and Paul is a COVID shouldn't be a quasi a lister in this current period. We live in now. People with far less beauty far less personality and appeal or making a living out of this shit. Go look how the fucking Real Housewives. Who are these Bhutanese? They're all making a fortune. Pauline is trying to rebuild a career after so many years of focusing all her attention on her family and Ric ocasek. All the power to her and if Aaron saw can fit the bill right now, then lucky him. But he's dating a string of interesting women. It's not like he's been some dork who's never had good pussy. That's not his life. Writers get it. Especially very, very brilliant and wealthy writers. But when it comes to Rick ocasek, Jesus Christ. First of all, when I was a kid and she married him, I remember thinking something's wrong with the world. You know, I was a car fanatic. Car freak, when they came out with my best friend's girlfriend, that was when literally I was dating a girl named Linda Buren and my best buddy Ronnie Michele was dating Jennifer coletta..

"Taking the truth. Means love, though. Martha Burton is the dog's longtime caretaker. Yes, good girl. Lulu will have all the treats and toys she could ever want. Jim Krystle is CBS news. More news in 30 minutes. I'm Paul Miles. News radio 8 40. Wh A. Yes, Those are always great stories. People can leave millions of dollars to their dogs, and it's a head scratcher for lots of other people. We have a dog story coming up in an hour or so. It's a different premise, but Like the premise, as long as the dog has money managers. That's the important component. That story is anyone looking out for the dog's money, or is it really just a chance? For someone else who can get their hands in it. Some Shady somebody rather to really just clawed all the way. I don't know. I did see this couple of notes here as long as we're talking about death and money, Larry King Hello. I'm Larry King. Totally in Ohio. Go ahead, Larry, where he can you help me? Larry King was a pioneer in terms of late night TV and radio, I think was radio first. Oh, yeah. In Miami from the Jackie Gleason. Studios, whatever that means. He was on a boat for a while. When the early parts of his career I know he was arrested for Money for long. I don't know, hanging out with bad people, Bad apples and some sort of, I don't know. Anyway, he's he survived that, and then he continued his broadcast career. And then, of course, he went on to have the great success. It's CNN where he just interviewed everybody. I mean, presidents of the United States, leaders of foreign countries, all the biggest celebrities, all the biggest newsmakers, something happens somewhere. To a person and they suddenly shot to superstardom. Larry King when often get them first. I was like, how does that even happen? Because Larry admitted over and over again that he didn't prepare for interviews because he just wanted to be a regular guy. He's just a Larry from Brooklyn, and he just wanted to be a regular guy. So he said. He just thought that his cover of his interviews would be like conversations on the living room councils like okay, we really have to do a little bit of research, you know, walking of land mines any of us in this business who ask people questions. You have to do a little background check just to make sure you don't walk into some trap. That was your sister. My sister's dead. Oh, God, my mother when I know Hey, Larry King had a long, incredible career. And he died a few months ago. Months ago, whenever was wasn't that long ago? And now they're talking about what money he left behind. It's about $2 million. It looks like he had about two mil piled up. Which is great at a lot of people say, Well, is that all because you know he had, I don't know. You just don't know what somebody's deals are in terms of what they do, how they get paid. A lot of people in our business get paid an ego. That's true news anchors. I have a friend who works in the upper minutes. It who who knows a guy in a in the number one market. That's New York City. Who kept reducing and anchors pay, and he would tell his friends laughingly at cocktail parties. My ultimate goal is to get this well known anchor who's Beyond his prime. My ultimate goals again will work for minimum wage. Each time I go in there and cut his pay, he says, Okay, because he doesn't want to give up the the ego stroke of being on. Don't know, W B C R New York or whatever. That's just how that Isse so I don't know what kind of a deal Larry King head and how I know he had a lot of divorces. And whether that impacted his finances. You never know, because you don't know what people do They sign papers. They do this or that or whatever, anyway. He apparently had a hand written will And he left his wife. Nothing. Now they were in the process of not liking each other, apparently, but he left her nothing. It was like, dude, she what is she 70 or 60 or whatever she is, he was 80 some, so I think she was like 25 years younger. Let's just say she's 60. What's he gonna do now? He didn't leave her anything. I mean, what's wrong with you? Come on, come on Main. He left money for his three surviving Children think he had Five kids. On. He's got three or maybe four kids left, and he just said, divided evenly among my kids. That's just interesting. And it's just made the news here in the last 24 hours, and it has found a rather interesting but it also reminded me of Paulina Poor Porizkova. Who was a famous model in the eighties and nineties, and she married Ric Ocasek of the cars and he died in 2019. And they were they were still living together. But we're not getting along some and he cut her. He quietly cut her out of his will, too. And it's like Wow. Do what You want to leave here and punch somebody in the face? That's your last move when you leave. So anyway, Uh, actually, I was reading a story about this a day or two ago about the guy from the cars. And, uh, I don't know what happened to those two, but she made millions of dollars as a model. However, she said, she invested it all in the marriage, and so it evaporated there. And then he cut her out of the will. And left money to Riko Castaic. I'm talking about Left money to several of his kids, but not all of them again. It's like Wow, dude. I'm leaving. When I die. My went my last thought to be that I punched you in the face. It's like, OK, well, that's kind of a dark hearted thing to do. That's all I tell you. But for those of you wondering Paulina Porizkova, who's on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. She's a famous model. She was the face for Estee Lauder. She made a lot of money. Over the years. She is now doing some little personal finance segments with the the investment company. You b s. Here's a little bit of Paulina. Now online. My big mistake. On this. The thing I really want to share with other women out there is that I thought that love and money did not mix. Yeah, I was stuck in that Cinderella fantasy. But I was more like not that I'm going to find a wealthy man to take care of me. More like you Meet you fall in love. And then poof. Everything is great. Like there was no ever there was no like nobody told me what happened after Cinderella moved into the castle. Nobody said Oh, And if the prince gets really ward with Cinderella, What does she do that she get to take a chair from the palace and bring it back to her own Jack. So that's the kind of advice she's giving online..
