"As I self report, I realized all my references air dated. That's because I started a long time ago as a baseball pregame host. I used to show up in the clubhouse at Candlestick Park. And the old Oakland Alameda County Coliseum combined about 90 times a year. If I wasn't on site I was in the studio because I'm old. The reason I want to be a broadcaster was Bob Costas was my role model. Baseball was the most important thing in my life until 1994 when they shut down the damn season and cancel the World Series. So I don't hate baseball. I love baseball. I think, Like many things in life, the more affection you have for it, The more you feel compelled to be honest about it, and baseball has a ton of flaws, so no, Jeff. I'm not hate watching baseball only have three hours filling in for the most acclaimed talk show host in our business. I'm not going to burn a segment because I hate the sport. But I'm not going to sit here with pom poms and say baseball's Don't everything right? Because in full candor, I can't name more than three or four things that they've done right. But I'm looking forward to the Universal D H. I got no problem with the softball gimmick and I'll watch baseball because it was my first love. It was the reason I wanted to get into this business. But like everyone else, I have evolved. And if I get three hours of baseball, I'd be on satellite radio or a podcast 106 368686 I would only gets better. Parodi. Larry is on the line now, Lawrence. "Documented not through leaked documents that somebody unearthed but through their own statements. They have said Hey. Listen we're family but sorry? The draft says the Professional Scout. We furloughed next week and amateur. Scouts will be furloughed after draft. They also have told whatever that building is called now. Oakland Alameda County Coliseum. That's what I was say. They've also told their landlords there because they are tenants in that building. They told them that they are not going to make lease payment. Since they're not playing they're not gonNA make their one million per month lease payment. I believe that's what the cost is. I might might think you're right. Figure off so not paying are minor leaguers furloughing a bunch of our staff part of a negotiation with players. Where they're asking for dramatic salary reduction. They're part of that. Let's not lose sight of that and we are not paying rent on our building so I don't know where all this is going. I don't know where this is all going with the Oakland A.'s but the Oakland A.'s seemed to be raising some eyebrows in major league baseball for its decision making throughout this some teams doing the right thing model franchises. No no furloughs pay cuts and they've committed to paying through this date and you have the as who are the exact opposite now to the as Darren do. They still get to participate in the draft. So if you're drafted by the as in the reduced draft. Are they going to pay you? Get a check do you get a signing bonus by don't than club like that that's as essential as a cats is drafting right? That's what the as do. That's how they stay afloat. They have a very unique approach to how it is that they manage baseball operations as we all know. An oftentimes it works. I mean they were or ninety win team last year they've also prematurely ejected certain players like cesspits when they were in the middle of a playoff chase so that there everything with them somehow dictated by the bottom line. And I think we've seen that they've figured out a way to make it successful. They've figured that out. And you know it makes me at least wonder to be fair to be objective about this because I know I know the way I sound and I sound cynical.

"Okay a eight fifty AM at ninety four one FM back at the Oakland Alameda county Coliseum I'm Dave Logan head coach Vic Fangio here as we talk about the Broncos and the raiders your team through preseason if. five preseason games you don't play your starters a lot of time in that preseason I mean your expectation level going into tonight's game with respect to what expect to see on both sides of the ball well I think both sides and the entire team or is ready to play we've had a good camp thought we manage the guys well we makes them some good hard work with some good rest too and I think our guys ready to play you know there's always the first game jitters or especially for us because it's the first game with a new coaching staff but I feel like our guys will go out there and play well office of Lee this is gonna be the first opportunity for rich gang role to call places a coordinator in this league what two or three things stick out in your mind in terms of being important for you guys to accomplish tonight from the office of side of the ball well let me just some of the real minor details just be efficient in we saw some delay game penalties in that first game on Thursday night I don't want to have any of those you know you we don't want fall stars we want to be crisp and sharp in our operation then if we are then that gives us a chance to be crisp and sharp in our execution and getting good results so starts at the bottom and if we do well at the bottom you know the will do well overall yeah no question about that and then they don't defense to me you think back to last year when you were the defensive coordinator the bears have yet you had such a tremendous knack of creating turnovers and and tonight I'm sure that'll be one of the focuses of your attention are you a guy that stresses turnovers I've heard head coaches the continually stress turnovers I've heard coaches that don't really mention it much it just sort of happens to be what what's your take on turnovers and how you culture now we emphasize it a lot and we feel that they're not locked they don't happen in bunches you got to create them yeah they are casual you'll get some free ones you know that some of the snappers something or the tips here and there but we believe they're man made and we got to create them and we don't have emphasized a lot the last question Derek Carr as starting quarterback for the raiders has had his moments in this league certainly have a great year a few years back last year it seemed like the ball came out very quickly all the time three step drops and very tough to sack this guide when when you think of Derry car tonight what sort of things do you think he's a very gifted passer he can make all the throws short game intermediate date his feet don't have to be set to be an accurate passer the order throw with good velocity and strength they do utilize the quick game a good bit in their games last year yep they do run a lot of you know maximum protection take their shots down the field also so he is a very complete. and talented passer okay coach you look tonight thank you you bet that's Vic Fangio show presented by mers dark is seen a resort spa black **** earns you play.

"The football I feel pretty good about it so let's look at that offense of line how much progress do you think that group is made. Mike you know on the on the office of line expert but the from of what I could tell I think bowls has improved I think Mike much Jack has helped him with his technique he didn't play much in pre season either in fact we didn't see much of the starting offense of line throughout the preseason but it it it appears as of bowls is better any should be this is your three for him he didn't play much college football at all his one year of division one so he was really raw when the Broncos got him and now he has one of the best office of line coaches in the National Football League working with them that should be a bonus for him Dalton rise in there is the guy though this guy very well made may be the the best offense of linemen on this team already and the continuing to get better and he brings something to this this offense of line that I I think they really need I I am really excited about him in not only a good player but a good dude and he is so excited my to be playing in his first professional football game for the Denver Broncos the team that he grew up rooting for and you know we grew up in wagons Colorado everybody knows the story about Dalton Reisner I think told Reisner should be a mainstay on this office of line for many many years to come Ron Leary is going to play tonight is going to start tonight he didn't play much at all or really practice all that much in training camp for the pre season he's ready to go he says and he was gonna say last week why what's all the fuss about you know I'm good I'm good to go if he can stay healthy I think this line should be improved from last year yeah no doubt let's hope so color analyst Rick Lewis joining us from Oakland here on Broncos countdown to kickoff how about the defense there have been a whole lot of questions we know inside linebackers a bit thin but overall how good can the defense. the French should be good I think the defense has a chance to be one of the top ten defenses in the league maybe top five defenses in the league Mike of problem tonight is Todd Davis he is not going to play tonight he's been there leading tackler of the last couple of seasons and I I think he will be missed you're going to see a bunch of other drives try to step up and fill that position Alexander Johnson key from the area to name a few maybe Corey Nelson as well who is a rather new comer to the team he they just picked him up about a week ago that seems to be the only issue right now is Todd Davis and how often they are at the inside linebacker position but with Vic Fangio overseeing the defense it should be improved this football season I have to try and get a sense from you what the reaction generally speaking has been in Oakland to the whole Antonio brown saga what a fans been saying. I think there are probably in a state of shock the way that all played out in the think I spent hours this week on my Antonio brown game prep completely going to waste my words that way Rick you know that that thing that story had more twists and turns through it in and now some people are saying that. he kind of scheme this whole thing you know to get out here and and maybe you know they take a look at maybe the patriots you know had something to do with it I don't know but it sure seems a little suspicious how he was able to manipulate his way out here basically on social media still for the most part and then subtly the patriots signed him so quickly after the raiders released them I think that's a little bit strange other certainly going to miss him in Oakland they had of course high hopes for him one of the best wide receivers in the game if not the best thing in a future hall of Famer in phone either gonna have to rely on Tyrell Williams a guy they picked up from the Chargers who's a good player but he's no Antonio brown no not at all Rick great stuff as always thank you much hi Mike if anybody ask your number should I give it to a email would be great okay. all right there it goes the color analyst of the Denver Broncos at the Oakland Alameda county Coliseum getting ready for.

"We continue with Murph and MAC on KNB are six eighty. Yeah. Let's talk NBA playoffs with four Golden State warrior. I know he played a lot of years in Washington. I think as a dub. And of course, you all see him as ESPN's basketball analyst you hear him on Sirius XM Tim Legler NBA playoffs on the Murph and MAC show. Hey, Tim, Brian Murphy, Paul McCaffrey on the guest line. How are you this morning? What's journal Bill? Thank you. Yeah. It's great to have you on. And I do think of you fondly as a warrior. I was wondering as oracle draws to a close here, or as you knew it just as the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum arena any any thoughts on on the arena when you see the warriors plan their one last time. Definitely kind of you know, I guess bittersweet. I'm not only playing their consent. With the words that also coming in there a lot of other teams playing that building. So it's going to be definitely a much different experience. I know that that's gonna be rocket other new place. So I wonder how the people in Oakland feel about all this and not happy. Yeah. I would imagine. Yeah. It feels like first of all the raiders are moving to Vegas. You know? So there's that. And that's a big deal. And then here's the warriors. Even though they're moving, you know, as the crow flies, Tim is like you literally like the chase center from oracle, you know, but for them, it's a it's a cultural divide. Yeah. Well, another goal is going to be amazing that it's good. It's kind of spring. They might be going in there after maybe the title of five years that would be great. That would be crazy. I know I want to get into the series, but just kind of big picture while I have you in your NBA opinion is Kevin Durant. Gonna be a at opening night at chase center in a warrior uniform. I fluctuate all over the place on this. I genuinely do believe he has decided yet. But if you're asking me to let me on it. My gut is telling me he will not be beyond this year. It just it just seems like that's what the vibe is from people that think that they they know some inside scoop is that information, and it would make sense to me it certain respects for for. I think something maybe that. Kevin Durant looking for as far as you know, a different type of challenge. I think there's an I could be dead wrong. I mean as much as I'm sure he's had with this team. And he went there for a specific reason he wanted to win and he wanted to play that style of basketball. I also feel like there's probably something for a guy on his level. That's never gonna feel like he got enough credit because the tea was already great when he got there. And so maybe there's some part of him that wants to go through that with different franchise where he could take. A franchise somewhere. They've never been before, you know, all of that snow. I should say never been before somewhere. They have been a long time. For example, the next obviously, you know, they had great teams back. You know the championship teams in the seventies. And then they had really good teams there the nineties, but you know, could take to take a team like that nixed for what how bad they have been almost become a laughing stock in a lot of ways with the front office. Yeah. To take that franchise in that city in that market, you know, not to relevancy to contention that might be a challenge that Kevin Durant would relish. I have one more Katie question for you. And it is it's Nick specific. But I'm wondering K D for a guy who's now a champion Eason MVP's finals award winner twice as regular season. It'd be done at all essentially on the floor. But I think about like his reality here in in in the bay is he works for a great owner in lake of lake Ables spare no expense in in giving. These guys the best of everything he can including a new building. And then I'm looking at at. At dolan. And I say like is that is that is that situation working for dole on something that could possibly make the rent happy. Or ultimately would that make him unhappy in the long run? Yeah. Look with you. It's me an exact same situation. I'm staying there as I said, yeah, I mean, not only not only, you know, are you on the best team in the league you're playing with some good guys. You got to coach your respect. You've got ownership respect that credible fan base. Great city. I I don't I don't know. What more do you could be looking for all I though is the nature of the the modern and be a player is to be restless there's a restlessness that exists amongst these guys that didn't really before. And I think that you know, the era of seeing guys stay with one team. They're tire careers. You know may make may have come to an end possibly with Derek at ten dollars in Kobe. Although stuff might be a guy that fits that bold. It's hard for me to picture him playing anywhere to yard with the warriors. Right. But he just he just like that's a perfect marriage made heaven, but everybody else in this league as you can see by the. Amount of player turnover. We have including the big time guys. If there's a restlessness that exists that, you know, you you think every every couple of years or no border three four years guys are looking on that other side of that fence, and they're seeing who who they also they wanna play with what did she looks intriguing to them? So I I just think it's where this thing has gone. That's why I won't be shocked man, the restlessness of the modern NBA. There you go. Tim Legler ESPN analyst, of course, longtime NBA player former Golden State warrior, don't, you know, and as we shift over to the court here, Tim, you know, the warriors did the last two games. Just to our is. Here was wow, we haven't seen that death lineup or the Hamptons five lineup. Just go out there and play huge minutes and dominate with that defensive versatility they offer. It's like, we waited eighty eight games. Eighty two regular season games in the six game clipper series to get to this point. It broke out the fun China just hear here urinalysis, then after seeing the way the warriors of attack the rockets is it a totally different. Warriors team in the first eight games. And is it something the rockets can't topple? Yeah. I got to too much for Houston. And there's there's a couple of reasons one what you alluded to is your hundred percent accurate. I'd say I watch that team so much to season. And I'm sure you guys do well every game every night and everybody to cover them. And we didn't see this level of commitment and desperation defensively the way they're playing now, they're they're actively level is off the charts. This deflects in, you know, the close out the way the rotating on help the way the lane gets so crowded on drives this is the type of frenetic energy that you know, you see a championship teams and. And said all along that I totally give them a pass or the regular season for for times when they they look a little bit inconsistent. Or they look like, maybe they're they're adrenaline. Isn't there totally understandable to go through something? Like this this many years in a row, you really only care about this time of the year, and they're here now. And so they smell it something. They this group hasn't done with three in a row. I think that's a serious motivation factor for them to their defense chart is another thing, I think of separate the two teams. And that is that there's only one Kevin Durant and the warriors have him, and he just could prob- anything you throw them defensively. He's the only player in this series that can get off a basically a clean look even against great defense because of his ability to elevate the high release that that you know, that soft touch that he has any swift. She gets should over smaller guy. He can get that open everyone, even when they get the athlete order that they want which is. Probably PJ Tucker majority of the time or even a guy like house Kevin rating, those guys he's just pissed to a spot cook who who Ribble going up direction stop rise up. And even if a guy's inside is jersey, it's not really affecting a guy on this level when he gets to them like this. So I just think Kevin Durant step rates the two teams at the end of the day. They do not have an answer for him. When you combine that with what they're doing how hard they're playing. You know, it certainly looks like they're gonna get through the theories, and it may be sure series that any of us thought. Wow. Tim Legler there on ESPN and on the guest line in Tim before we let you go just a quick word of who they would face on the other side. I mean, I know everybody have used this as the sort of defacto Western Conference finals, but there would be a blazers or nuggets their one one does either of them. I mean, I would guess there's nothing on either team that could beat the warriors four times out of seven. But you're you know. Oh basketball better than we do. That's what we're having you on. Is there something about either of those matchups that the warriors would be wary of well, here's the thing with Deborah last two times go to stay played them. It was you know, it was laughably easy cluding the night. I'll never forget the night. I was covering the game ESPN. So that that was our game of the night when they went into Denver went Denver was a one c. And Golden State was a two seat couple months ago and fifty one up in the first quarter. And I said I said that night. I I was upset because I know guys have to solve and you got play your bench, and these are professional players everybody get paid. But I just kind of wish that all five starters could've played the entire game. Because I think they could could've scored two hundred point. Oh, my gosh on and then the ten threes in the first quarter. They had fifty one in the first quarter. It was and then they get them at home. I don't know maybe a month after that. And I thought okay. Showbiz tonight that they have a clue about guarding the team case they were to see them at some point in the conference final and the warriors clue them off the floor again. Yeah. Yeah. I just don't know if Denver has a physical enough defense to play with Golden State. And and I think Portland maybe a better match up even though I don't think either one of those teams could probably give them a game. I don't think they could get to. But certainly if this this series that's going on right now is the one we'll ever was gonna win. This is going to get all the way to the NBA finals the warriors getting up to to start makes it virtually impossible for Houston four out of five. I don't see it happening. So the conference finals we'll be a little bit anti climactic. But I guess Portland. I would say as a little bit of a better chance they would. But as you point out man with that, Kevin Durant character, everything changes. So Tim love talking oracle Durant and NBA with you. And we appreciate the time. We'll watch you guys are on tonight. Right. He got guys got all the games the next couple of nights, right? Yeah. I'm actually I'm actually as we speak. Really home because I live at twenty minutes from three, but I'm going to be doing pre game and post game sportscenter tonight for the Sixers Ravin. Yeah. Headed down there. Let's check out of that. It'll be there at six o'clock sportscenter. They'll be close Gable? Fellner if your Philly guy all the way, are you booing Bryce Harper that what you're doing? Well, here's a funny thing. So I grew up in Virginia. I with the college in Philly, and I've been there for the last thirty five years. Yeah. But my team my teams that I loved it bleed with their down at their down at DC nationals those teams, so I do know though, living in this area living area. All these years. I knew this gonna have we price Harper because he had a stretch like this last year, and we the money they just paid him fans. There aren't forgiving at this kind of stretch. Now, they're not. But, but yeah, you're going to be wrapping your skin, and your and your and your nets and your caps and all that. So you do your thing man are watching tonight. From Philly should be a great game. Sixers raptors, but obviously we were focused on the west here..

"Thanks for taking my call. I like the analogy the guy gave earlier about Cleveland and his dad running away with a prostitute. But I want to apply that to the Oakland Raiders is that Mike your dad runway with a prostitute. And then moving back in for two years. Dude. Hey, Carl seriously how weird is that raiders stadium situation that they were there. So dumb right there. So dumb as an organization they didn't get did. They didn't get that squared away before they decided to announce that they were going to Las Vegas like you would think they would not have put themselves in a situation to where they weren't covered through the dates in which they were going to move and they had to go back to the people of Oakland Alameda County Coliseum and go hand in hand for them to be able to stay there this year. I mean, golly. Tom. And I were just talking about it on the on the on the off air show is the only guy with a brain in his head in the NFL, Bill Belichick. Good lord. It is the craziest thing about it is there. So in the raiders, the NFL and over there stolen, everybody with this antitrust, it might be thrown out. But would you sign a lease with somebody who saw you? I mean, I would like to have won a legal person. Tell me is that gonna give Oakland Reverend or does it give the raiders or the NFL owners leverage. Or are they going to provide them an expansion team, Cleveland and money? You know, a settle out of court and giving seventy five million dollars. Pursuing four. It's just crazy. I can't believe what's going on here. I'll tell you where I think the NFL is going and Karl thank you mean. That raiders situation is weird. They're going to Vegas all that stuff. Now. Remember, they still the forty Niners. So the bay area's still okay and Karl thank you, right. This is my theory on this. And then we're going to move onto producer, Tom. I think within the next five to seven years because I don't think they're going to be able to put a team in London. Although I know they do and maybe they will buy building like. An NFL facility on the east coast at the London team could use when they come here. They can figure out some sort of sharing thing or something like that. Right. But here's what I think's going to happen. And and I think with the af and the XFL the XFL's knowing more towards NFL cities. Whereas the af is sort of testing out. Okay. Khuda Orlando work could Saint you know, here's this. If I were the NFL this this is what I would do. I would announce that four billion dollars a billion dollars. You can have a franchise and I would add four of them. I tried to go back to Saint Louis. I go to San Diego. I would look at international meaning either Mexico City, which I think it'd be a mess or say Toronto. And I know there's the Toronto bills battle and all that stuff there. And then there's one that's like a wild card. I don't think you could put a third NFL team in Florida. I don't I don't know if that would work. Won't be a fourth NFL team in Florida excuse me because you have Jacksonville Miami. And tampa. But I think you know, you could go Saint Louis sandiego if you wanted to go another team at another team in Oakland, you probably could. Although, you know, probably just best to maybe leave the forty Niners sort of own that market. Maybe do you go to Portland, Oregon, something like that? I think we're getting another round of expansion. And what I think is going to happen is it's going to be like the old school in baseball. Right. 'cause right now you have thirty two sixteen in each conference you add two in each conference. Now, you can just play AFC NFC. And the only time you get the cross pollination is the Super Bowl. They freshened up the Super Bowl a little bit. Maybe they do throw a team in London. Maybe they don't you kind of understand the road that I'm going down. All right. Today is a day of celebration here on the gresh show on CBS sports radio. Because while I was away last weekend enjoying a little downtime. So was producer, Tom except producer. Tom proposed to his longtime girlfriend went over in Italy and wanna shock. She said. Yes. So first of all, Tom. Congratulations are in order to you and your lovely bride to be. Thank you so much and thank you for your wonderful Twitter. Congratulations and basic hours after it happened. So I saw it happen. I was like oh my God. This is great for him. Now. Let me also. Try to give you a little guidance from someone who is a noted idiot at times. And has been divorced and now successfully remarried and between the total time of the relationship. I think. I think we hit our eighth year wedding anniversary this year. Like, it's so we got married in November. The two thousand ten so, you know, it's been a while like we're almost going on nine years and my wife was divorced as well. So I think when you have that perspective, you look at things a little differently now, let me ask you this. You been with your girlfriend for a lot of years. Do you have a wedding like a fish bone of a wedding plan in place? Not really I I had an idea. But then. The situation of that particular place changed. So now that's off the table. So now, not not exactly now. Okay. So if you don't mind me prying a little bit. There's no like this isn't like my big fat Greek wedding. Where you have to do things a certain way, you guys can kind of call your shot on. However, you wanna do this is that fair. Hopefully, yeah, that's the plan. Hold on. Now. That's a big hopefully right there. There's at large Italian family that definitely has expectations. But I don't really plan on going down that road. Do you care about disappointing them from that from that lately? But not enough to do it the way they want. Okay. That that that's very fair because the one piece of advice that I would give you is the wedding is all about the bride. And here's what I now. My first wedding was a big shebang. Had to be in a church had to be in like a rotunda room at the biggest hotel that we could find. And you know, what I mean like all that kind of stuff where we were really footing the Bill for it a father-in-law who is now ex-father in-law since passed away. You know, he jumped in and threw some money into the fray and all that kind of stuff, but I can tell you this man smaller intimate is better unless your girl once the big wedding. Now, she doesn't I'm telling you the second time. I did it, you know, we did of take quick story. So I was working in Boston then and working for a boss that I clearly deduct get much along with, but I told him because I use the best excuse you can use to get out of work. I've colonoscopy. Who's who's calling Bs on that literally? So I called out August do the drink. And then tomorrow, a two days off we flew to Vegas. And no word of a lie. We fly out on a Thursday morning, right? Got set up with a room got connection. All that stuff. We were literally just hanging out. And then on Friday. I was like, you know, we probably should go. Get the license so go. Yeah. Yeah. Good idea. So when downtown we've got the license, and then it was like, I wonder we're gonna go, and she's like, I don't care when we go. We went on like a Saturday night, the limo guy who drove us down to that level of chapel where Joan Collins and all that got married he was the witness. So we didn't even bring people with this some guy some Rando driving around Vegas right now was the witness to my wife, and I getting married, and we put our money into other stuff, and we turned it into a neat little trip and Bing bang boom done, and we didn't really have time to go on a honeymoon. Because I'm so involved in football. We couldn't we never really took a honeymoon. Quite honestly. I'm just telling you that do not without that option. And will also give you this piece of advice. Doling the like the Bahamas or Bermuda or something like that for a wedding. You are setting yourself up for an utter disaster. Okay. Bye. Vice people got to get there and become responsible for everyone else's logistics kind of. Yeah, there's that. There's also making sure you've got a place big enough for everybody can stay. Then you gotta do the rehearsal dinner before hand, you gotta get that squared away. God forbid, you get rain or if it's a real windy day on a beach. She's taken wedding pictures with sand in her hair and stuff like that. No point variables. That's I think that's the issue. Exactly right out of your control, actually considering Jamaica. But that's crazy. We wouldn't actually do it. Yeah. And the other thing too is now do you have siblings? I have a sister. Yes. Okay. That's what about her. What do you mean? What is she wants? No. Meaning. No, no, no. I'm saying does your does your wife to be have a lot of brothers and sisters one brother one older, brother? Oh, that's it's you guys each have a sibling all let me tell you something man and changes everything to in terms of doing the doing the, you know, like the quick wedding or or go into Vegas or whatnot. Because the more. Siblings, the more hassle because one of them alternately tries to turn it into about them, in some way, shape or form, and really alienate not gonna have that problem. And you know, what I actually wanted to get hitched here before we left that we could just call and like our wedding trip and just say we got married in Italy before it even proposed which I was like I can't do that. Because you're skipping a step and something else might happen there. So do you think she tried to smoke the ring out of you? So to speak. He just wants to be married me. And didn't care doesn't care about any of the other stuff. So my God, brother. Listen at producer underscore, Tom. You can America you can validate this, Tom. You have a cherub of a wife does not want to blow. This thing up. I'm telling you man, you are halfway to being able to do it. Right. A little bit of research and the whole best way to do it quickly. All my God. You might the difference between my first and second night and day. And it sounds like you're going to be able to avoid those headaches. And I salute you, my friend. This is a great pepped up. Well, I I'm here for any advice. Just like I try to help Billy. I'm here to help you as well just because your situation is a little more solid than Billy's. I.

"One FM. Dave Logan, the head coach Vance Joseph from Oakland Alameda County Coliseum. We are thirty minutes or thereabouts away from tonight's game. With the Broncos on the road facing the Oakland Raiders, this might very well be the last time the raiders play here in the stadium. I don't know if you get caught up in it. But yeah, they've had they've had quite the history here in. So I would imagine if in fact today's players really care about that. But I would think some of the coaches in the front office types from Oakland with like to find a way to win what could be their final. Absolutely. It's going to be an emotional game. These guys obviously that could be the last game here I worked in San Fran for seven seasons. So I get it. You know, it's a it's a special place. So we got a player best football to make him unhappy tonight. You have I mean, the Broncos have have really fared well against the raiders recently found a win win that game earlier this season back in Denver. They have struggled immensely in yet. You look look at some of the games they beat the Browns. They beat the Steelers played very well. And yet they found ways to win when you just think about the season being over players, Dave, you know, I mean, they have a really good old line dominant D line. So if we don't play, well, they can beat us. Also, you know, it's going to take our best performer still win this game. So we gotta be locked in tonight. You guys don't have to tell you out of the playoff race. Yeah. I played a couple of seasons. When I remember late in the season we were out, and it it. It's interesting sort of the dynamic of the locker room, and depending on sort of your mindset individually, but but how have used or have you had to sort of deal with that moving forward from head coaches? Because it's a it's a tough deal. You're out you have two weeks to go, and no football's a tough sport. So if you're mind's not right bad things can happen. So each man has to find his y you know, we'll have our y you know, while we coach while we play. So we'll find out tonight and play. Well, I've got to address this all sorts of rumors circulating some about you some about players. How do you individually? Sort of get through that right? Thank you. Just enjoy the moment. You know? It's a it's a it's a great job in the future is obviously not not clear right now. But we can't worry about that. I don't worry about that. You know, my focus is on our team, and our coaches and plan a best ball. We can play tonight. All right. We'll come back to Oakland and continue our conversation with the head coach Vance Joseph Broncos and the raiders coming up. But I these messages on the KOA Broncos radio network..

"On Monday night football game of the season Denver's playing it Oakland and there's a long tradition of the raiders on Monday night. Here's Jon Gruden the raider tradition. The black call Monday night football brings out the best in may. So I'm excited to see Monday night football show up in Oakland for our last home game. And of course, this could be the raiders final game ever at the Oakland. Alameda County Coliseum. I'm Ralph Ervin. AM Colorado Springs. This is southern Colorado's sports leader, Xtra sports thirteen hundred. Sports flash. Chris lopresti, the Seahawks take care of business. A week sixteen on their home turf beat the chiefs last night thirty eight thirty one to captured NFC wild card berth. Nice turnaround for Pete Carroll's team after to start. There wasn't very many people that thought we could do this most everybody thought we didn't have a chance to to hang together. Hang through it. We get it done before the season's over as for the chiefs. They felt the lockup the one seat in the AFC. They can still do it though with the week seventeen home win of the raiders who host the Broncos tonight in Oakland. The Steelers may have played themselves right out of the playoffs for the saints in New Orleans thirty one twenty eight drew Brees to Michael Thomas. Go ahead. Two yard touchdown pass one twenty five to play as New Orleans. Lock up the one seed in the NFC Ramsey over the cardinals thirty-one one nine the bears survived the forty Niners fourteen two nine A in Chicago hunting the other first round by the NFC eagles edge the Texans thirty two to thirty huge day for Nick foles eagles record four hundred seventy one yards passing four touchdowns. Philadelphia's playoff hopes are still alive, but they'll need a win and a Vikings loss in week seventeen. After Minnesota beat the lions Sunday twenty-seven tonight. Nine ten straight AFC east of the patriots doubled up the bills twenty four to twelve the colts rally past the giants. Twenty eight twenty seven colts and titans will have a play in game. Next Sunday night in Nashville Cowboys clinched, the NFC east twenty seven to twenty over the bucks. "Simply understand fully mortgage confidently. A lot of big games coming up later on today. Make or break games. We saw an elimination game earlier on Saturday with the titans beat the Redskins. So the Redskins are officially out of that. And no surprise there. The Redskins have been banged up all year long. It was just a matter of time until they were knocked out and Dallas in a big spot here. Dallas after getting shut out by Indianapolis is in a position where they have to show up home against Tampa Bay. And after giants Dallas and eight and six should be able to win. They left a crack in the door with Philadelphia. I don't see Dallas losing at home to Tampa Bay. The giant game is always interesting at the end of the year. Giants don't have much to play for. But they could run the ball and stop the run against Dallas. But I expect Dallas to get in. The team. Oh wanted to keep an eye on as Minnesota. No one's talking about Houston in the AFC and nobody's talking about Minnesota. And traditionally think Minnesota's a lot like the chargers with the chargers. Choke when the seasons on the line or the playoffs are coming and Minnesota has been prone to do that Minnesota is at Detroit. Now that's a game which some sharp money is coming in on Detroit after the line moved the line opened up Minnesota, minus four and a half. Now, it's minus six everybody thinks Minnesota's just gonna walk in there and play. Well, they've owned Stafford in regards to sacking him putting him on the ground. Let's assume the Vikings win this game. They'll go to eight six and one. Remember they have a tie and then they play home against the bears. The last game of the year. Now that'll be a game with the Vikings will still have to win to secure that six spot or maybe the fifth. If Seattle loses to Kansas City. So just follow me here. Seattle's eight and six if they lose to Kansas City that'll drop them to eight and seven Minnesota wins out. They'll go to nine six and one so Minnesota is not done yet. And they were close latched here to get to the Super Bowl until they ran into Philly, and we all know what happened with Nick falls and what happened in the Super Bowl. But I've been a non believer of Minnesota for most of my career. They remind me now Minnesota and the patriots are two teams that everybody's counting out. Everybody thinks that these teams are dead. They're not dead because that Minnesota defense and that front seven if they get going at this time and Kirk cousins has been given eighty four million dollars guaranteed to win. All you gotta do is get in the playoffs. And then they'll start comparing him to case keenum and other quarterbacks around the league. And he's got the ability to get hot and play better football. He hasn't played his best football this year. It's a brand new team. It's a new system new receivers. He's trying to lock in with the index trying to get to chemistry going so Philadelphia's still alive, I think Minnesota can do some damage if you pick today if we were talking about Minnesota at Dallas, you don't think Minnesota can win that game depending on who's there in the four six matchup, and we look at the three in Chicago and the three possibly going up against Minnesota Dallas and Seattle the four five matchup. There is still a lot of work to do in the NFC. And that's why the saints tomorrow have a chance to make a statement. They're not gonna waltz into the playoffs with the number one seed they got to prove that they can beat a very good Pittsburgh team. That's desperate to get in the one thing that we saw the big takeaway from the show tonight. Everybody is that Baltimore beat the chargers in LA. They have the ability now to leapfrog, Pittsburgh and knock pits. Out of the postseason. And the reason why Pittsburgh to get knocked down the postseason is they tied the first game of the year against Cleveland that puts them at eight five and one Baltimore's at nine and six Indy is that eight and six Tennessee is at nine and six I expect indie to win tomorrow their home against the giants. And I like indie over the titans at Tennessee, especially with Mario to being banged up. So the team that you'd be most nervous tonight. Out of all the teams in the NFL. That are in the playoffs is Pittsburgh. They can go from the four seed out of the playoffs. The other teams are on the outside looking in and trying to get to the next level. So the takeaway is Baltimore can go from six all the way up to four which would be really impressive. And on the NFC side. There's still room for Minnesota. Philadelphia's still alive we put Washington under tonight. And if Seattle wins if Seattle wins this game tonight at home to go nine and six which wouldn't shock me. Seattle was two and three in their division. Seattle will have as much momentum's as any team out there Pete Carroll experience. They're running the ball. Their linebackers are playing great their offensive line is vastly improved. And what about the Rams I'm looking at the Rams schedule the rest of the way at Arizona home against San Francisco. If the Rams can't wake up and. Get hot. No one can girlies. Not right doff is not right. They need to easy wins. Were they could rest players late in games and get their legs underneath them and get the home by and try to secure that back to the best record again at the saints falter. But there is a lot of football left. The football later today is going to be unbelievable. The late games or what everybody's excited about. Pittsburgh New Orleans is going to be an epic game. And then we got Kansas City Seattle the late game. And then I'll be on all next week. You'll be able to hear me on other radio shows here on CBS sports radio. The oakland. Denver game becomes a really unique game because that could be the most emotional game between two teams are are not going to the playoffs because it could be the last game played at the famed Oakland Alameda County Coliseum, and if that happens in that goes down that way and the raiders play their last game in that building. Wow. What a story coming to the end of the year the emotion. That Jon Gruden will show I know him. Well, and I know that he'll show emotion in that game. It could be incredible. So I think the NFL regular season is wrapping up. Well, we were talking about a little bit about LeBron James throughout the course of the show tonight. I'll get to one more opinion on this. When we come back, but let's get to an update with the less arose..

"Ravens win the Steelers will be on the outside looking good news for Pittsburgh. They rushed for one hundred and fifty eight yards against the patriots for the saints at the top rushing defense and all the football only giving up seventy nine yards a game. This'll be a shootout early for drew Brees will find his legs and win this New Orleans thirty four Pittsburgh twenty four New Orleans wins and covers spread and then Sunday night football. Maybe the best game Kansas City, a two and a half point favorite at Seattle in front of the. Twelve's the former legion of boom. Patrick Mahomes is the MVP. He's already got it locked up. This is the most important regular season game that he's ever played after the loss to the Rams earlier in the year and the recent loss to the chargers Andy Reed's job to get him back on track. He does in this game. But it's sloppy. It's a little bit wet the totals fifty four. I like it under the total. And I like Kansas City late at Seattle. Does it the paddle roster? Kansas City twenty eight Seattle Twenty-three Kansas City wins and covers on the road and writer nation. Unite potentially the last game ever at the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum. Denver coming in as a three point favorite Denver in Oakland in this spot. Gruden gets the raiders to show up and close out the regular season. I think the way this will be. Back in Oakland next year. And they'll go out at home with the win car in the raiders twenty-seven Denver twenty four those picks against the spread. When we come back..

Once again, the D one champions what a nice effort. Meanwhile, conditions at the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum somehow reached a new low this was during last week's game between the raiders and the Pittsburgh Steelers a game that the raiders believe it or not one. The Coliseum has been known for its mediocre at best conditions on and off the field while in two thousand thirteen a drainage problem caused raw sewage to flow into the home visit or known pyre club houses, how nice is that even before that unsanitary conditions leading concern about e-coli the visitors training room still. Dead animals around the foot to the food. There is very concerning. Which makes you wonder how long the mice had been living in there. Hopefully, not that long because I've been there recently was there this year. They found a dead mouse in the soda machine there. Now, the good news. Apparently, I guess there's good news. With a my situation. The calcium will Mike Lee not house pro teams for much longer. Looks like the as by the way of new stadium coming up, or at least they their plans as the raiders are planning to move to Las Vegas in twenty twenty may play a different site next year instead of the Coliseum. So my dead mice in the soda machine. The Coliseum by the way, as I mentioned the as quest for a new ballpark. Did take a significant step forward last week as a team announced plans for stadium at Howard terminal set to open in two thousand twenty three as part of the project. They will also redevelop the current Coliseum site for the benefit of the local community. It's about time that's supposed to have a capacity crowd of about thirty four thousand. It's about time Oakland A's foul show. There's nothing worse than.
Warriors must pay $40M in arena debt to Oakland, Alameda County, arbiter rules
"You're listening to the spoken edition of the San Francisco Chronicle. Warriors must pay forty million dollars in Reno debt to Oakland. Alameda County judge rules by Megan Cassidy from sports the Golden State Warriors must pay off the estimated forty million dollars in remaining debt incurred by Oakland and Alameda County for renovations to oracle arena. And arbitrator has ruled a nineteen ninety six demolition and redesign of the arena's interior cost about one hundred fifty million dollars to be paid over a thirty year period since then the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum authority has collected an annual payment from the basketball team of seven point four million dollars to help pay off the debt, but warriors are departing for San Francisco in twenty nineteen and team leaders had planned to stop making payments at that time attorneys for the city and county argued the NBA champions were trying to scuttle the remaining debt and both sides agreed to let an arbitrator make the final call. We are pleased by today's ruling and believe that it's the warriors not the Oakland and Alameda County taxpayers who should repay this debt. Call ASEAN authority chair and Alameda County. Supervisor Nate Miley said in a statement, we issued these bonds in nineteen ninety six in collaboration with the team and with an agreement in place. We've simply asked the warriors to honor their agreement. The disputes came down to the interpretation of nineteen ninety six contract signed by the warriors and the Coliseum authority. The joint powers entity created to finance and manage the sports complex. That's also home to the as and raiders essentially, the disagreement was over the side's interpretation of the word terminates the paragraph at issue says that if the warriors terminate the agreement prior to twenty twenty seven they are obligated to pay the outstanding project that an court filing attorneys hired by the team said that Klaus would apply only if the warriors were actually terminating the contract, rather they said they are allowing the agreement to expire in June twenty nine. Eighteen as they depart for San Francisco judge Rebecca westerfield, the arbitrator in the case noted in her ruling that warriors president Rick welts testified that the team's decision to leave. The arena was a deliberate choice. This action by the warriors deliberately electing not to exercise an option and thus bringing the license agreement to an end can be construed as a termination for any reason westerfield wrote and her Thursday ruling attorneys for the warriors and the Coliseum authority were made aware of the decision Monday. This was an after the fact attempt by the warriors to rewrite the party's deal, and it would have left the people of Oakland. Alameda County holding the bag Daniel pursell and attorney for the city and county said in a statement warrior spokeswoman Lisa Goodwin said the team obviously disagreed with the arbitrators interpretation of the license agreement. Of course, we are reviewing our options at this time. She said in a statement. But as we've always said, we will fulfil any debt obligations that we owe.

"From the standings, not the way they have been looking of late. And of course, it was embarrassing bottom of the first-inning at the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum, and you know, that listen, you gotta really think about half or Tanaka. Starting and you certainly want to have the Sanchez bat in the lineup. But how many D H is can you have? And if you use it Tanaka who likes to get you to swing at a pitch in the dirt lookout somebody's gonna strike out. Reach first base that your fear, and you can't afford to have a very shaky defender behind the plate a very shaky receiver behind the plate. And the bottom line is. I mean Sanchez is just he's a hitter. I mean, listen, the potential is there the bad is their course innate nothing game. It's a two run home run. But the bottom line is he is just not trustworthy. And if you're the Yankees, you don't wanna take the bed out of the lineup. And here's another thing. Also with the lineup and with the options. I don't wanna see if you're a Yankee fan. Do you wanna see mccutchen in the outfield? Or would you rather see Gardner, and I know Gardner went old for August. There's anyone really wanna see mccutchen is like I think he has one or two hits. Now. Listen, a one time MVP and a one time terrific center fielder and already for the Yankees. He's made some nice plays in right field. But I would rather see now listen, I'm not a Yankee fan. But I just think it would be better for the Yankees. When listen, what do I know are ready, but I think. It would be better for the ANC is a dad Gardner and Hicks and judge and you need judge in that line up. And and Grigory is supposed to be back in a couple of days. I like maybe this weekend. That's so for the Yankees. That's a very very good news. But the the question was Severino starting the. The wildcard game. I would at this point for sure you would be if you're a Yankee fan, you would be outraged if Severino where to start and if he did you'd have to have Roman in there. But do you want role mine in the lineup? "Thirty four years old i lived in watched hundreds of red sox games when they were just nets up there on top of the green mazar now i've watched hundreds of baseball games with the monster seat you completely forget what it used to be like almost instantly i mean it took maybe a season an half of the monster seats for me to then seen a highlight from a game and like the midnineties and be like wow i can't believe that it just used to be nets up there and look so weird now that its nets up there and i just can't help but feel that's going to be the same way in terms of you put these nets in and in no you know in no time at all you're going to be looking at highlight game from years gone by and be like wow it's it's hard to remember the time when there weren't nets up on the field protective netting up there it's just one of those things i'm not even saying you have to get used to it or these are the times we live in i'll just say they're going to put a man and you're going to not noticed sooner than you think i agree and now i just looked for fund these icu gold a picture of the oakland oakland alameda county coliseum and there that ballpark is known for having among the most foul territory in all major league baseball behind home plate it's kind of notch and carved out a little bit and then he got your dugouts right there and i think there one of the ones that have extended it to the outside of the dugouts and if they just went off to wear the next little notch out is along the wall right there they would also protect those people that are down in the corner towards the foul balls to where you don't have to do that right but in a ballpark like that at which has to give flipped around the football that's a part of the problem there is how do they go about doing that while making it fit within that stadium that is a multi use facility and then you start to get into how many multiuse facilities are still left a major league baseball they're really there really isn't tumor that many who get oakland is is.
