"One at the mire in oak creek hope to see you there Kevin hello inside myself and out before break we were talking about I was talking about I suppose on my trip to Colorado planning a bottle of my own I saw these awesome adorable goats and I start taking back down where is buffalo mountain in relation to pikes peak is that near pikes peak if I remember correctly self of coral springs south of Denver takes both among was more west of Denver it's more in the middle of the Rockies keystone in that area are I think it's I'm not sure with the vision pikes peak is off and I'll get to that later but coming back down before my own I go back down the boulder fields going reverse climb back down and finally get to the tree field and I'm I see a group of kids is a camp trip and I see the two guys that I pass the guy at the curly hair and the guy was like Hey all right see you down the snow on the side of the mountain and I know is that one of the campers first maybe ten or so ten or eleven one of them is in pain she's maybe thirteen years old she's laying down she is suffering a severe bout of evolution sickness and the cool do that with skiing down he happened to have some wildlife training on him I was able to omit for say so he made a stretcher out of to treat those and then put some jackets kind of we've the jackets through and I offer my sweaters with three oh two sweaters two jackets and sweaters in this makeshift stretcher and this girl was place in middle the structure and one of the guys camp counselor like Hey do you mind helps at all not at all so the four of us the two dudes the camp counselor myself took this girl on the stretcher and walked back down the mountain from the one point nine miles back down nineteen hundred feet to the head of the trail and that whole experience just totally random that that would that any of those like all those parties conversion at one point going back down the mountain without one of the kids he's in the front of the of the whole group he's counting forces a hate watch out this trills little rock you appear he might want to be careful to really slippery thank you scout we're gonna keep going we work together we took quite turns rotating arms of which side is treasurer holding on winter maybe two three minutes at a time sometimes five eventually made our way back down at the very end we took a big old family photo how so how long was that walk well you know I it was probably over an hour and a half of walking walking down and walking through and it's a it's difficult enough to walk down because he got all that momentum coming back down the mountain but then you're caring someone else and the one time back your mind I am not dropping this little girl I am not dropping or was she out the entire time that you're doing one stretch okay should one structure she walked a little bit and then she got hit by nausea which I did not know is when the symptoms of elevation sickness severe stomach pain cramping nausea so she made it down and everyone everyone is safe but it was weird because these kids one was maybe nine years old for climbing up a mountain in Colorado what the heck every feeding kids over there they're like super human too young is what you're saying they do too young to be climbing about it that if you know what when I told that story to my my parents they kind of scoffed like wow nine years old coming up among like that's their heads into the hesitant even have myself go but other things happen for a reason so yeah today was pretty cool we're going to talk a little bit more Mister Rogers and maybe even the Marvel that's coming up next year on WTMJ.

"Often Hagen W. G. M. J. welcome back ninety degrees over here at radio city and the city's sunny east side let's go to Lynn in oak creek Lynn thanks for calling in and how can we help you today hi I have some evening you know that after hours and I cannot leave and ornamental tree we should I hi the leaves are the canon or can I leave a man I'll be fine I don't know that you necessarily need to cut the leaves off what I would suggest suggest doing you know you're talking about the the iridescent green yeah they're like black yeah eat what you want to do is just get them off get the Beatles off the plants as much as you can you all right so if the leaves are terribly disfigured you can cut him off because you know in the make sure that you have plenty of other leaves laughed took to energize the plant okay okay and ornamental trees that I think if we leave them there sure yeah I mean you are you talking hundreds of leads are thousands of leaves one here and there the myth that point if it bothers you you can take those leads us the the the little thing that we just don't want people to do number one is leave the Beatles going unattended they will devour it like for example Linden trees able completely defoliate at Linden trees more more often than not an average attack of Japanese beetles in and Linda true result in half to a third of the top portion of the tree being completely devour either there the old actions a completely devoured they leave they leave this Lacy silhouette ages ago yeah the good stuff right but you know you can we can control those ring get spray on those trees but if it gets to be excessive than the the leaves are gone in the plant can that taken the sunlight and then photosynthesis pretty much stops and that is how the plants live so do you want that only means eagle I'm usually about three to four weeks okay yeah you're welcome thanks for the call and we appreciated so Jim what what's going on right now is the Beatles were grubs we talk a lot about grubs on the show right the Beatles were grabs a few weeks ago and they they metamorphosis sized what do they do they they they Malta may be came and they became and now they he hung out of the ground they've come out and they can't became a beetle in Montreal battling their own any be love each other very much and have no no they're eating and mama Beatles gonna eat in eat meat and then lay eggs in a in a couple weeks and then she's going to leave those eggs and crawl back in the ground and die and they will hatch and and then they'll become little grubs and so in a month thurs six weeks we will be putting down a grub control to get the baby crops and then the bit the baby grubs will eat your grass roots underneath the ground and they will eat eat meat become bigger and bigger and then by wintertime they'll have crawled about you know two to three feet down way down in the ground and the winter there and then in the spring time when the soil when the growing degree days get warm Alex love those the soil gets for those grubs of come up and begin eating again and then the whole cycle so right now what we so we wanna be preventative by trying to kill the baby grabs after the eggs have hatchery and and that way we can get stop them from going down into the ground the problem is is and and we get we also want to talk a lot about we don't encourage people to get traps the with you we talked about people who member we get the the people calling up the word I put my trap right he said he put it in your neighbor's property you what your Beatles to go to your neighbor's house you know want to put a trap in your plants because in your neighbors beetles are coming over to your house so but it really is difficult for a lot of people because their neighbors could have incredible infestations and we're doing everything we can to keep our client under control but if the neighbors don't keep it under control it's it's difficult to control the command in in a they'll they'll find a place but yet we're in Japanese beetle season it's official winter did not kill the Japanese beetles it never does your is expected to especially last winter yeah the one that started it never stopped over everybody else you know what we gotta do a follow up question and I've been grass and there we talk or what it was and the question is do I want to get rid of it I I would it is work soon number one is prettier than than a golf course will offer a lot of there's a lot of hours in a lot of materials and labor that goes into maintaining band grass and so it is very aggressive but it's typically are weaker it doesn't handle the I mean the stuff that grows voluntarily near line it doesn't the golf course is put it under a lot of water right a lot of fertilizer and it it manages in half and is happy in that environment but if you don't water it and fertilize it it is very difficult to come control the other thing is is it creeps into your plant beds and girl grows there too pretty quickly let me remind you the phone number of the hacking of mortgage talk and tax line is available for one four seven nine nine one six twenty and easy Lois and Daryl and Dennis are
