"Very intentionally crosses the line at a certain point in the coverage switched sides. And i don't know if you were there for any of that stuff. But no i didn't. I didn't work on that scene. I mean this is never been told me. But i heard a rumor that that call was supposed to originally wake up in the lumber yard with his pants around his ankles. I've heard that too. Yeah and they decided not to do that. For whatever reason but i mean. It was plenty terrifying. The way is now. It's a really just a great film and if you read the script is shot exactly as scripted. Yeah yeah david was really great about that. We move at wild at heart. The movies almost exactly scripted except the guy in the wheelchair when when the guy rex motorcycle. That's actually how the script opens when you read the script. It starts out a motorist japanese motorcycle screaming straight from hell. That's that's the opening lines of the script. The guy rex's motorcycle in the wheelchair rolls up and says same thing happened to me last year. Man same thing happened to me. And that's how the movie open in in script which they put that further into the movie when when they actually did it. So you've worked on starting with blue velvet you've worked on most of david lynch's projects crank did blue velvet wild at heart twin peaks fire walk with me lost highway mojo and drive in some commercial work in the durant lap to internet too because we went on shot plates for that for all the machine work. I didn't work on the new twin peaks because stop doing steady cam and so he always calls me steady cam. Dan really yeah. I went to the twentieth anniversary of blue velvet. It was a theory in westwood. I didn't tell david. come on. Just sit in the front row. I saw the cherry was going to be sitting in. Azure and .NET with Labrina Loving
"We're gonna be talking dot net and the cloud and a very aware as we've regarding the so we're recording this nineteen of november twenty twenty. Don't that five is not very long. It's been out for about a week or two week. Old week-old excellent. I mean the have been the they release candidates but this is like the official as he is here so i'm likely going to end because obviously because of the time cast pop machine whibley. We're recording this in advance of time. So there's likely going to be time. Tony said hey. So when dot net call superseded by don't at five so please bear that in mind everyone who's listening we're regarding this couple months ahead of time but So festival before we talk about anything right. You've set yourself you've been in this this whole this industry for for almost twenty years right to vote for me. I'm you know. That's that's i mean for anyone. That's a long time right. That's that's a whole bunch of innovation that has happened since then like twenty years ago with talking about dot net was like an intranet based technology for inside of the business and now it runs a huge portion of the web. You've got as you. all suppose azure. I'm not sure how. What the official brennan nell right or wrong way okay. So we've got as your as you that that whole thing. And that's that's running dot net presumably or you can ruin your dot net thing on it and and we've gone from like i say we've gone from small web services to scaled micro services and video games and consoles all running dot net. You can never internet on fridge which is just blows my mind. I've gotta got a bunch of raspberry pies somewhere around here that are controlling my bet soon. I just bought a house. So we're excited about you. Know making our whole house smart enabled so i'm excited to start using dot net korir on a bunch of raspberry pies and the you know controlling controlling how long my stepdaughter gets to use the internet. So it's gonna be fun. It's brilliant is one of these technologies the just scales almost everywhere. Are you talked about the raspberry. Pi oko another respite. Pi four hundreds pien inside of a keyboard Is one big folk kit. And i've been using that to do sorts of crazy don net things of the past weekend. I'm teaching roberta. Who's not a developer code with it so it was like. Hey come on what i do. And he's just just the keyboard and while he came over before they Before the unfortuna- say over in the uk. We've had like a lockdown so nobody can go anywhere and so he came over a few days before that and we couldn't get a moment times we staying here for the duration so by the time you're listening to this. Hopefully he's going home. I thought to keep me busy. Teach him to wrestle. Code is totally all right. That's that's fun but then so if we're looking at almost twenty years in the industry what a in your opinion. Some of these innovations that have really changed the game. I mean we talked about chaperone being collaborative bringing everyone together. Dot net clearly has changed a whole bunch of stuff. Is it purely a microsoft thing you thinking or is it just a his aesthetic. I think for me. I i love tech but i also love the people in tack and i think for me. What's with what i've loved. That's change is sort of how we work together. So i remember when i first started in tak started a working for this We built the first installation of of of this insurance company allstate s- Their first online web presence So we built their i kind of web application and bad took hundreds and hundreds of people and it was all these very very very siloed teams. Right there is a huge team of leg database administrators. I have no idea what they did. There is a huge infrastructure team. And i have no idea i i mean i got a chance to like talk to some of them. But there's a huge infrastructure team. There is a huge Devops will be call them the the bill guys but the cuge build than a team and there was all these teams That came together to build this amazing web application but we were all really really really siloed. I felt like and It was such a very everything was so very very very specialized whereas you flash forward today and I feel like the development team and You know infrastructure engineers and Site reliability engineers while there there's different fancy titles for everyone but that teams like shrunk significantly and and and you know we all work really really well together. it's not kind of this like staunchy kind of separation of people it's it's a much more collaborative team. We work much closer together Because i think the tools and technologies have evolved in such a way that everyone can kind of sort of work together much better. So i think that part's been super super exciting. And because of that we were able to get you know it's it's more satisfying you can see applications getting released. You know all the time. I mean you get huge. Companies like netflix. They're releasing features like every day. So it's really exciting to see the pace and end the change of how like software and how technology evolves and then. I also think Just be the the amount of information and of you know how to get Involved in tak It's come to a place where i'm excited that so many people like you're talking about your brother. You're literally decision whom how to code and so literally you know a cup. After lockdown he can apply at microsoft and get a job at burnside. Apply to microsoft. So i i love this. I love this. I love because of i came from. I originally from chicago came from you. Know modest modest family and a lot of people around me or modest living. And so i really loved that technology has started to become a equalizer providing a lot more people opportunities To be able to code be able to change and thereby getting great jobs and then they're thereby kind of really changing their lives so it's not. I love seeing really kind of technology for all encoding for all This whole push for that. That's what's really got me like super excited about this industry now.

"Let me tell you that this is borderline genius. If you ask me, this is just borderline genius all right? Let's color code the runways. I like that it's it's. Many people run to alternative sciences aces. Because they don't want to character in the structure that the Er Whoa is calling for you worry measuring is speaking about. They don't want that. They want to use these sciences this to justify all of the things that society tells them to do because society is actually lording over this spiritual inner standing. You know I'm I'm finishing up a literary work right now. And that's one of the points that I made in the work. You know even your religious and church structures if you have a church that exist inside of a capitalistic society. Nine Times out of ten. That church is going to be it's going to have a capitalistic spirit. So all they're going to talk about his abundance in wealth. You can have what you want. And the Lord want she to have this and the Lord wants you to be worth because you live within a capitalist society if you lived within a socialist society then your church environment would speak about about everyone having everyone sharing and things like that and being able to live maybe beneath your means or not. You don't always wanting to desire so much and that's a problem when your social structures ruling over your spiritual structures but that's a commonality even sadly to say in spiritual community the Arusha communities you know what we think. We're supposed to desire in one and conform to society has told us now becomes aspirations. So when we're ritual ising will ritualized allies within that direction as opposed to using the heavens as our standard. This Pataki so there was a time period and the town of you. I will Where where people were growing food and you know they had their farms and everything because you know traditionally when you about your culture read about about a lot of agriculture agriculture deep science even understand the psychology of the creative but nonetheless they were growing food and when it came time to harvest he had these beautiful Harvey's Three large birds came to the town and devoured all of the crops. Right so this happened one year. Of course everyone was dismayed and unfortunately The next year that came when it was time to harvest I again. Those same. Three birds appeared again in devour crops. So the people say oh. We're GONNA starve. You know this. This happened before it's going to continue to happen. These birds are eating all of our food. So Oko who was a great herbalist He said I can Solve this problem for you. So they said okay. Well let's see what you can do. so He created some powerful medicine and he put it into the ground and when the birds came again they didn't devour the crops so everyone celebrated him is all you saved us you saved us. And they made him their king right so in due time Oko was in the palace. Now he's King and shortly after that the people then gathered added together and they said you know this man has saved us and he saved our crops. He's obviously a very powerful herbalists he has. That's great control over the herbs and he's able to bill charms. He's a powerful sorcerer. What happens if he now takes his ability in his charm and he turns it on us and he treats US unfairly and everyone said No? We can't have that we can't have you would if he does it us so what they did was they then removed him from the palace they said. We don't want you to be arguing anymore. They took him. They took his chieftaincy away so do time they go back to living their life. Plenty Nick Their crops and doing what they do and when it came time to harvest the three birds appeared again and in three birds devoured the crops. So now they panic. Oh my goodness homa. Would it be going to do. Let's go speak to Oko. Let's go back to Oko so they go running into the woods. Were Oko was co went back to a small hut in the woods. You know I I came and I helped you out of the goodness of heart never even asked to be king and you appointed me to be king in probably was you know the fear thing to do but then then you know you're so shortsighted your memory failed you all of the great things that I once did view all of the things that you pray and you were so appreciative. "oko" Discussed on The Orisha : Right Character, Real Power, and True Tradition
"Welcome all welcome to the Risha podcast. This is chief you The anew nation and I know it's been some time since we spoken but of course is you probably all know those of us subscribe just the best way to tune in in a will bring forth when recalled to so so in this segment. I wanted to speak very briefly about the energy of stars. You know a lot of times in our studies we we focus our energy and our is mainly towards the ground towards would you consider to be Earth elements the rivers and the oceans and the seas and the lagoons and and the mountains and and the trees and fire and even metaphorical concepts like the cross roads. And and things like that and often we don't Really learn much about the connection then all of these scientists and all these studies have with actually what it lies above. You know the planets and the stars and the moon and the sun and how there is a direct relationship with those elements or with those those energies and knows what some would say heavenly bodies you know as called in some traditions With this beautiful and dignified tradition. You know so a lot of times when we're studying Just the guy. I gave the information on Egg Bay. There is a correspondence for earth energies to our Extraterrestrial entities extraterrestrial would be anything outside up the the terrain of of the earth. You Know Stars would be considered extraterrestrial son be considered extraterrestrial. The Moon So forth and so on on the various planets that have been recognized within this this particular solar system would also be considered extra terrestrial. You know but Just like some of you may also studying astrology. oftentimes Some people don't recognize recognize that yes things have a conscious forces have a consciousness. And just like O'Neill or the earth itself. You know our home you. Camila is many of you knows the home of the house Spirit of the Homo neely in that inner consciousness of the earth means that there there's a consciousness that the earth itself has a consciousness. Well there's no reason why you shouldn't imagine that the earth has a consciousness and and we give offerings tool we pour out my patients on the earth and the earth you know That the other planets or again heavenly bodies I would also not have a consciousness so you know she's kind of by basic deduct deduction that you would imagine of course that If our great ancestors ancestors those of those of them who were great were able to connect with in navigate and communicate with the consciousness of decree created physical planet. That may be they will also curious you know. In in all of their millions of years of being about the consciousness of some of the the other planets and in particular are how they relate to the various pats of F- are you know and those two hundred fifty six. Oh do because there is certainly relationship and I know a lot of times at arm you know. People sometimes tried to make correlations between things that are not necessarily correlated or they get the time periods. Confused you know Sometimes Times is even certain ideas in terms of afar and it being An experience or a science that is solely used by the Europe. Of course this is. This is incorrect. I mean you have A binary form of defamation that's primarily identical to e far in South Africa Africa You also have one in In you know the the Sufis in Islam use a form as well with a screw with a day mark into sand as opposed to eero soon. So just like you have the study of astrology planets and even numbers which will get into another time. You have the studies of astrology and things like that around the world you know. Of course it would make its way. Excuse accuse me into ifan or out of fat and then it would be represented and other places in an Espe- particularly in a that's that's not problematic. Matic you know sometimes the dogmatic energy of individuals who seek to Kinda monopolize all of the world's wisdom a keeps was there were over. He's very small. You know an F. I we have the O- dooney while will and you know you are. whoa itself is a word that means stars but there's actually a place in the oil region town By the name of E. Y. E. E. R.. Our will and you know sometimes for those of you who are familiar with the Arista Oku. Okay you. You may have read Some of his information or heard his praise songs before and heard him referred to As Abbar Uwe Woo a bar and not by means you know like like an elder you know so He's considered to be the elder of the town Karar. WHOA so you'll see by our will you know it? It means that he's the elder So there's a direct correlation for those of you who are familiar with the agricultural are tight Allow womb and not just agricultural let me just say fragility as probably a better word to use because Oko Oko Also knows the name depending on how you pronounce it. Not only for the farm is called Oko the garden Hoe. It's called Oko A husband is called Boko. That's why use a term like aquamarine you know but Oko is the husband The penis is also named Okel and sometimes it's a word for man sometimes is Oko so you see. There's so many different correlations there and I'm GonNa get into Oko. I did it. I did think I did segment on. Okay I'm pretty sure. Yeah I did actually longtime time ago That's that's in the block block talk radio or Christ. It might be somewhere here on Youtube to. I don't know you'd have to do a search. You know we have. We have almost. I think. Close two thousand segments now so I know I've recorded things. But some things are primarily on block talk radio. Something's on you to in some things on the new the newer podcast format that. You're you're probably listening to now so Sometimes I get a little you know mixed up as to which platform we upload it to you know so but is there there. Nonetheless in requires a little bit of searching scholarship on your part but you know like I said that you are woes that the energy of that star and sometimes also if you study the Arusha that you're working with maybe that you've been For some they use the term crowned with and you know maybe initiated to sometimes. You're you're elder. Your instructor will tell you you about Uwe Wolf. So let's save you. Europe you've been committed to tighten will say ocean sometimes your elder. Will you'll hear that that term ocean you. Are you know and what that means is to starve ocean. So does that mean that each Risha has a star. Yes it absolutely Sui does he say absolutely. Doesn't you know there's an important aspect there with the stars because in you know not just in tradition you know. But even in recent times stars were used to navigate you see so there is a direct correlation in between navigation starts even in terms of agricultural we go back to Oko you know When certain stars visible in his in the sky that was a time or chronological indication that it was time to harvest? You see so there's always been a very direct connection between gene farming or agriculture and the watching of stars signs. Which you've you can read different holy books as well? You know the watching of the stars and the stars were placed In a preferment to be assigned you know so this that idea of again using using the stars really for form of divvy nation. But I'm also for a kind of a energy the of of navigation if you will and of course many use the planets for the same those who are steeped in strategy and and things like that you know which is not a a false science Is just a problem with a lot of people the way they practiced astrology they make it an absolute absolute science. And that's where they lose it because you're astrological ooh Kinda learnings in expirations of primarily going to deal with. What's going on with your physical? If you body you know. So in the same instance. If I'm born in certain you know time period or certain certain time of day or certain region we can look at my NATO chart and the natal chart will give you some if no give me some information about my my I spiritual disposition and you spiritual disposition as your personality your personality the personality. You are the person that you become those are all just movements of your actual spirit. You know so. It's not really an absolute science in a sense it's it's a steppingstone side. No different than numerology. You know anytime you're using nature to determine what you should do and what you shouldn't do. That's a level that's a step but then you come to a point willfully in in your growth and your development where you can not necessarily be so subject to nature but be in evolutionary force of nature. Sure you know so now you begin to determine what nature is going to do and you know we see a little bit of that and the planet now just in terms of the confusion that that nature sometimes goes through with Just to the the weather you know and we you know for some they realize this is is the reflection of the confusion of man. I but I digress because that takes us into a into another conversation then as probably more like AH chief you yeah podcast combination. Those of you subscribe you know I do too even podcast. This not try to keep it more purely a we should the chief your podcast. I kinda give myself licensed to Talk about a variety of things you know touch on riche as well but I like to also talk about character and family building and all of those things that are connected to the science. Because that's a huge issue. You know just as a side side note and it's one of the reasons why I don't do as many Risha our podcast videos as much as I used to because You have to be able to look at and study audience. And since I'm I you feeding them food that they can't digest process yet or they're they're they're using wrong. You know so character as Rumeila has told US character is all that is requisite you know so you have their writing in my book grasping a ruler Divine Power in. I say that because it's it's important. In a lot of times we start to gain a consciousness of certain things without really gaining a consciousness of character. I and that's important. You know so you know. Sometimes we want the rituals and we you want the Arusha Information and things like that but we don't necessarily want to begin with the self judgment that initiates all transformation you know your first judgment and you have to be able to objectively look at yourself you see that in the sacred oh do of e e waugh remeasuring. You know it sees with at Iwo or you know the character ERS character or e is consciousness or head so we know worry Maggie. We're we're looking at the character of own consciousness character ahead ED and studying that so that we can then excuse me Birth ourselves be the sacred odu of ED or od. Meas- INITI- indeed means to birth or to put you know so again a slight digression but you guys know I I like to I like the Coralie points points when I speak Even when I read I like to do that. I when I read from studying not just reading reading but when I'm studying tend to have maybe three or four or text in front of me at one time because I like to do a lot of correspondences. That's the way my mind works. It's kind of like a web and I just tend to process kaas US concepts a little easier when I can quickly make certain connections and correspondences kind of support. Whatever it is that I'm reading eating or I'm thinking about so you know? Of course like I said there are different planetary energies. They're different star. Jeez that connected and sometimes when we're looking at The stars of the other days of the strong for some of you may call as a week but We sometimes can get really confused. And that's where we we talk about you. VALUE OF IVAR won't value of the Star because you are wars in Russia itself. It's a town place. There's a direct connection with your Risha Okposo But it's also its own energy now. Why would star energy be so important? Well Star is what connects you anchors. You in and not only your purpose purpose but you design your aspirations for life you know. Stars are very important in terms of that because they pull you any drive your long to where so you WanNa be and you know like in any society where anything that you're saturated with whether it be an idea whether it be music whether that'd be language talk whatever you begin to be that thing you know what you ingest begins to be what you output in which you express. You can't get around it no matter what you cannot get around it you know if you surround yourself with harmful injuries music day eventually your thoughts and your standards are going to be harmful and injuries. That's just going to happen If you surround yourself with paranoid people all day eventually..

Harold Bloom: The Shadow of a Great Rock: A Literary Appreciation of the King James Bible
"You know recently Harold Bloom died he was the figure of extrordinary controversy Oko Zinder other circumstances is he would have been just another professor but he was the professor who was defending the Western canon as he quoted which meant that he was talking about Shakespeare and Milton and of course his great of Shelley he studied how these writers in the Canon influenced each other he wrote a book called the Gang Society of influence he really became the writer of our time talking out that tradition now let's acknowledge that tradition is rarely taught in the university the way it was in the generation of Herald I had the pleasure and I would say the honor of talking to her world boom at his own apartment in New York I will say that I disagreed with him about many things things when we aired these interviews people wrote in Yes harold bloom was an elitist yes he was but we should have one of everything and there are leaders and there are populous and there are ever very kind of response that you can have two good richer this is harold boom from our conversation on bookworm unlike his book the Anatomy of influence literature is a way of life which seems a settled and masterful book the shadow of a great rock is audacious and I would like to say even dangerous which tells us that a great mind doesn't settle into somnolence or eternity it's always at work work and always making trouble this is the nature of the mind Harold Bloom my wife would appreciate how do you how do you feel you've spoken of the many controversies you've causes mentioned some of them in this book it's never going to see aw both well hated and well loved and particularly with I have to say about the New Testament here has already started Israel fury I've got nasty email nasty letters and even a couple of nasty anonymous phone calls you say that the ten handle translation of the old the New Testament is the breakthrough in Boston since they burned I mean he's both a great model a great writer and the Grand Bigot with that it's not full they were all bigots of goals they would all I'm very glad to see you and myself crucified angry anti-semites but it went with the territory as it were Tindale was martyred burned alive before he could finish his translation of what he called the Old Testament as you will notice throughout this look the shadow of a great rock I insist upon referring to it as the original testament Tomahawk the Hebrew Bible and what is called the New Testament by its proper name the belated testament which is also beginning to get into the usual difficulties but that's fun Tindale was burned alive before he could translate the prophets and most of the great writings and that's how a loss because tremendous writer in every way you compare to Shakespeare and Milton I would say that the greatest writer certain in English paps in any language I'm able to read is of course we shakespeare indeed have now reached a point where I've totally infuriated but I like doing that of course with them the horrible shakespeare establishment these dryers dust moldy fix calls by simply saying there is no God but God his name is William Shakes sure of course after Shakespeare you have to put chaucer stunning extraordinary writer without really Shakespeare did not have been possible then tindale and Milton I would say of almost equal imminence the English novel sales of Daniel Defoe and John Bunyan at its very beginning wouldn't have been possible without Tindale he was not a lyrical writer but a very great narrative genius I of course New Testament which was complete is the entire basis if the King James New Testament and is major writing is largely preserved in the Geneva Bible and subsequently in the King James Bible and various scholars who have said that it would be very difficult to think of the style of certain moments in King Lear without the Tim Daly an element in the Geneva Bible our I think basically justified you say that the two greatest works in the English language are composed really within a decade need

Ebola Doctors in the Congo Threaten Strike After a Health Worker Was Killed
"Now to the Democratic Republic of Congo where for months health workers have been struggling to contain any bull outbreak. Despite the fact that more than one hundred thousand people have been vaccinated. There's been a surge of new cases and more than thirteen hundred people have been infected so far the biggest obstacle to stopping the outbreak armed groups who keep attacking health workers in just the last few days. They were two assaults here to tell us. More is NPR's and read is in and welcome to the studio. Hi outy. Give us the latest on these attacks. I well the first one was on Friday afternoon. It was at a local hospital in a city called Mutombo. That's one of the current epicenters of the outbreak and about twenty members of one of the local Ebola response teams were having a meeting in witnesses say two gunmen Burstein, they took everyone's cell phones and other they started shooting injured two people and they killed the team leader. His name was. Dr Richard Valerie was Oko. He was an epidemiologist from Cameron had been deployed by the World Health Organization to help fight Ebola. And then just a few hours later there was an attack on another local command center, this one was at a hospital in a nearby. Suburb called Koch wa it's one of the worst hot spots in the outbreak zone. And this one was around three AM Saturday morning. Four people tried to set fire to that command center. Police fought them off they killed one assailant, and they captured the rest are these centers being targeted on purpose in if so how come it seems so yes, and it's not clear exactly who was behind each of these attacks. But I spoke with Dr Michel Yow who is leading the response for the World Health Organization, and he says witnesses in that first attack told him that the gunmen were shouting Ebola doesn't exist. You're just here to make money off of us and it fits into a larger problem of mistrust in the local population. There have been years of armed. Conflict in this part of Congo and people feel victimized by the government. So they don't trust authorities and by extension health workers. What does this mean for the effort to try and contain the outbreak? Well, there's a lot of concern because this is just the latest in a series of violent incidents that directly target health workers since February two Ebola treatment centers have been attacked Dr Masuku the doctor who was killed on Friday. He had only arrived four weeks ago. And he apparently told colleagues that he was really worried he's left behind a wife and four children in Cameroon. And so each time there's been an attack the health workers need to regroup. They slow down their efforts to vaccinate people who've been exposed, and then you see the effect in the outbreak. It gets worse. Basically more people start to get sick. And you know to give you an example in February just before these attacks on the bullet treatment centers started. They were saying about thirty new cases a week. And then this month, we're already up. To seventy new cases every week even as high as one hundred new cases every week. If this violence continues is there a chance at the outbreak could grow into a catastrophe similar to what we saw in twenty fourteen in some west African countries there are some really important differences, first of all the WHO and the government have been on this from the beginning. There's also a vaccine now which has been a game changer as you noted they've managed to get more than one hundred thousand people to take it and the evidence is highly effective. So there are still reasons to be hopeful despite this latest

And and you were supposed to be somewhere thirty minutes ago haven't seventeen a road sign a long time. Well, that's happened back in the day before cell. Remember the days before cell phones? Find a Phobos somewhere. Nowhere. Carolina one time trying to find some folks to go. Visit that night I was going to beat them at their kitchen table. I couldn't find her kitchen much west their house. It was like the third cornfield make a left nighttime. So it's about just making sure that we know that there are solutions out there. But in order.

"Funny thing to me was I could've sworn maroon five already did a Super Bowl show because there's such a Super Bowl halftime show kinda ban. And they were joined by Travis Scott and big boy from Oko from out. Cast, you know, which felt somewhat forced to me. But mostly it was Adam LeVine. I mean that that was most of the Super Bowl halftime show. Now, it was and maroon five is is a lot of things like maroon five is a very reliable hitmaker over the course of many many years, but maroon five is not necessarily a abandoned that a lot of people get incredibly excited about Adam LeVine is kind of an omnipresent figure because of the voice there in many ways, they safe in middle of the road band. I have never felt I host a Super Bowl party the chicken bowl. This was chicken bowl twenty three. So I've watched a lot of Super Bowl halftime shows going back to the crowd with with the crowd. And I don't think I have ever felt so little enthusiasm and so little electricity in the room during halftime show as opposed to for example, or beyond set on say either the one that was beyond the headline or the one that was beyond say takeover. I'm cold play. You sort of felt with that second one in particular. I remember you sorta felt the entire house. Tip because everybody stormed into the room. You know, people are scattered around. They're eating they're doing things. But everybody goes to the room where the halftime show is to see beyond say this time. It was sort of like, oh, it's it's maroon five it's kind of time to mill around. It was almost the opposite. As opposed to that kind of everybody wants to come and see the halftime show to the extent that there was a roar. When that show started I sort of right? And I don't think you can get around the fact that when you're Super Bowl is in Atlanta, if you wind up headlined by a non Atlanta based white pop band, something seems to be amiss if you're a music fan, and you get the feel of what they lost or what they didn't get for whatever combination of reasons the inclusion of Travis Scott and big boy was they were not particularly well incorporated into the set. It was maroon five set and then Travis Scott kind of had a feature and then big boy kinda came out. And did the way you move. And then they. Kind of went back to Adam LeVine who at one point like peels off his shirt, and is suddenly completely shirtless which then brings in leftover resentment about the treatment of Janet Jackson right from like fifteen years ago. So I felt like there was just kind of a lot of bad will around this kind of flat and uninteresting performance. I mean, maroon five has a lot of songs. They're very catchy. I don't feel in need to see them performed in a Super Bowl halftime show. This felt the whole performance felt very very flat for me. Yeah. And I think, you know, the persona of Adam LeVine was just to me just right for this halftime show. You know, you're in this moment where the NFL is trying to be very ingratiating to its mass audience while also continuing to kind of navigate the fact that you're hearing more from players who want their position on what is going on in the world to be able to be communicated. And so you get outta m- Levin who gradually peels off layers of clothes until. Well, he gets down to as you said, ripping off the it must be said, very ugly tank tops. And gets down to this heavily tattooed upper half, right including a very corny tattoo right on his belly. That just says California, which just seems I don't know that's a very unimaginative any, but the point being I think this is less true now but tattoos for a long time, particularly heavy amounts of tattoos carried this implication of rebellion or danger or look at me, I'm a heavily tattooed, dude. You never know what I might get up to. But it's Adam LeVine. You know what? I mean, it's still he still singing moves like Jagger..
James Corden Still Thinks He'll Get Fired from 'The Late Late Show'
"I think that you're unbelievably talented. I mean, you've been on four years before that like, I don't think I wasn't aware of you because you were living in London doing plays a lot of theater, and I saw you sing and dance. And do it was like, oh my God. This guy is amazing. So I thought you do very very well right away. Did you think the show would be? You know like received that Oko. No, no, no. No, I wouldn't we came here. My wife, and I our some was three outdoors was twelve weeks when we moved here. And I wouldn't I said to my wife like, we're not buying anything. Like, we rented furniture. We rented account everything in our houses. I was like I'm gonna get fired. And the only thing worse than getting five. We'll be getting fun and then left with a couch. That we've got to get rid of somehow. Right because we'll be on the first flight back to London bright just going. Well, that was a disaster. And I'm I'm not genuinely meant like when did you start buying things at what point did you realize? Oh, the shows doing very well. No, we we know what we bought a house about a year ago. And then and then it was like, okay. If we voted house, you probably account. And so you've been on for years, and then how long how many more years do you have on your contract? About a year and a half. And will you do you think you'll renew or do you do you wanna do other things? Choice. I'm not sure it's it's still market fired. I think that every day. I mean, I came in slow and thought if I come in slow they might go on that's the wrong guy. If I. Speed to the C down to say, no, I'm not sure I've no idea. How long will do it for? We'll see. We'll see how it goes. And you're going back to London to to be in cats the movie right doing the film of the musical. That's amazing. And it's it's a lot of people who's in cats Judi, Dench McCarron. Idris elba. Rebel Wilson Taylor. Swift Jennifer Hudson and. So you may be fired. Go tomorrow. I might be back here by Saturday. Eight flights Emaar nights filming. Yeah. And have you seen cats like a lot like is it pretty much sticking to the play or? Yes. Kind of it's still people being cats and how have you prepared for that? I'm very much, you You know. know, I'm I'm Don Davis. I immerse the character. You know what I mean? So what have you done? I've just been living as a cat. I don't use the bathroom. I have a little tray. And then just. You know, the whole time about that's been me. To see the

I love this analogy this. This is our great struggle. The sun is apparently are Hitler. We have to defeat this enemy. You know? It's interesting people think that she's being overly dramatic. But we here at the Dan O'Donnell shell absolutely agree. In fact, we believe like Alexandria Oko CEO Cortes that the world needs to combat climate change. Exactly the same way it combated the axis forces during World War Two, and we believe it would sound a little bit like this. Wine Paris, France allied forces. Wait, a critical battle against now. One degree temperature is resident to- Cossio Cortez. Praises are poised for bombing a two bedroom. House networks running it's air conditioner. "He couldn't do any of that. And they of course, they didn't want to edit the film down that wanna change the pace of the scene. They wanna like leave shots out their only real choice to like maintain the film as close to what his intention was was to put the figures standing around, basically just kind of like fig leaves, you know, in front of like, the the more kind of like explicit parts. It's really obvious though. It's very obvious. It's very very unfortunate like nineteen ninety nine the the digital effects were not like up to snuff today. You could probably do it a little better. Yeah. But yeah, it's it's just I it doesn't work. And I'm sure also like the fact that it was mandated by the studio in it wasn't Kubrick like supervising it, right? I'm sure if he'd been around to do it they could have gotten a looking better. But I also think he would have probably figured out a way to just get it passed the MPA. Anyway, you know, so yeah, there are CGI figures. If you get like the American DVD from a long time ago, I think by now if you buy it on Blu Ray, I knew this fact, if you buy it on Blu Ray or DVD or stream it online at this point. I think the NC seventeen is the cut that have even get Savo. Fuck verse. Yeah. Yeah. There's nothing like crazy. Explicit going on. There's just like simulate kind of like. Yeah. It's it's really not that it's pretty tame. I mean, you can see what's going on. And it's it's yeah. It's fun. You know, what I'd never noticed about the sex scene until this most recent time, I don't know why never picked up on this. But there's a scene where he walks into. One of the rooms and there's a couple having sex. And I always thought they were having sex on like a like a small table or something. But it's actually a person on all Ford, wearing a black suit one of the butlers or whatever, and they are they are like having sex on the back of this personnel. And that again just shows you like the power play in the kind of dominance in the sort of like, you know, putting people in their place like you are nothing like you're just like a table for us to screw on. You know, like, that's what we think of you as a person. So so well about the masks to which by the way, the great great, man, it it it appears like there's no joy in any of this any of those people and it's partially because you can't see expressions. But no one's like partying. Like there's this Buchan alien orgy going on. Yeah. Two for about a third of the people. Right. You know at any given moment. Yeah. Because I guess they're only so many girls, but the rest of the people are just standing around. Yeah. Djing not doing very solemn. Yes. They're not masturbating to. Yeah. Sound like the orgies? I'd been to. Yeah. Exactly exactly Ford is very different. But and when he one of my favorite parts is when he gets told that this is when he's totally found out, and he says, your limo driver or your taxi driver, and they walked through the satis slow dance Rangers in the nice drained. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Totally reminded me of kind of the ballroom scene in the shine deliberately. So I think yeah. And then, but he when he walked through and I've seen this movie four or five times. But when he's like, oh, sure Oko dachsie driver, and he opens the door, and it's funny the everybody. Yes. Looking at them. Yeah. And just last night again, I'm getting chills..
