Biden Leads Trump, 49%-44%, Among Likely Wisconsin Voters in Latest Marquette Poll
"Some new polling shows that things are actually tightening. Now, one poll, there was a national poll, but we don't talk about national polls that had trump down ten points national, completely irrelevant, not applicable at all national polls. Do not matter. Show me state polls, show me trends now Monmouth, which has donald trump down ten points. Nationally had the same in August of two, thousand sixteen. However. There's a Marquette University poll in Wisconsin that shows Biden up five points now, that might seem like bad news. But as we examined some of the new emerging polls on a statewide basis, which is more important. Especially in battleground states, we have a totally different picture. Now, remember you could lose California by eighty points by ninety points, lose the popular vote and still win in a landslide with the electoral college. Also something to consider at these polls polls that conduct something called live collar with cell phones, they tend to skew Democrat why this is what we call the shy trump voter. I add three to four to all these polls. OAS? especially in a presidential, never remember conservatives are much more likely to hide their true political opinions from public view. The presumption is that this includes from pollster if it's live on a phone call and this bears out in the methodologies. So a new poll in Arizona Has Martha mcsally, the incumbent Republican senator who was appointed by Governor, Doug Ducey. She is down five points where she was down nine points and a similar poll previously. Speed look at. Oh, predictive trendline since December, it follows what we'd basically know to be true that trump was ahead at the end of last year and pre pandemic. Then things got really bad. We know that no one is denying it, but the race is tightening in the president's favor. Republican plus two in December to a low, of Democrat, plus nine and plus in May, and now it's improved for trump to Democrat plus for for now. And, now, here's a new promising poll that shows trump is beating biden conducted by Rasmussen pulse opinion in the State of North Carolina. The poll of Seven, hundred, fifty likely voters shows the president beating Biden by a single point when leaners are included. So we can cherry pick polls and there some polls that show trump down in some of these states. But the enthusiasm index is definitely in the president's direction. I think there. There, are some major issues here that are missing from the conversation. If the president can continue to show significant gains when it comes to the Chinese Corona, virus get college football back on the airwaves I think this is how his election lose I? Think he's going to have massive gains and I think the more the president is ahead of the curve on the issue of the economy and law and order the better.

"Has to take into account. I think in a lot of people don't do are not willing to do that with the Brown right now because of his statute because his greatness, right? No, people not willing to challenge or question your motives, which he's earned that to a certain degree ride, but fairness to the Lakers and Lakers fan and faithful and all that like what's more important to you right now. No is winning more important is winning championship was seventeen. I think eighth whatever the number is is that more import. Until you or is you become an Oscar winner or you becoming a bid on team Ohno. I'm saying what is important to you right now. So I think they should be able to know that but powder question and all this stuff right now. No outs to somebody said this to me earlier in the year, an NBA exac, he said, LeBron OAS sought more power, and he got it. But not everybody wants to work with power. So when you hire LeBron you're higher cluck sports. You're hiring his guys you gotta get his coach you got. So LeBron's big thing was I want more powers player, and he got it. But not everybody wants to be in the room with the most powerful guy, some people. They just does not what they want who. They are. Oh, well, some guys don't want to be a part of it. Right. It intimidate some guys. That's overwhelming. Definitely I'm somebody to stay McCain to rent said, I think he could handle it. If he wanted to be a part of it. Yeah. But at his thatch Wildwood without subject myself to that. Didn't Kevin Durant. What was Kevin Durant comment? Because we will whatever the case may be Kevin said they play with the Brown into circus. And the executive said to me that was the time. I asked him he said, I wouldn't classify it as a circus. But there's this power. Vacuum wins lawn that he and he's got it, and it sucks the air out of the room. That's by the way. That's what LeBron wanted. He got it. Who's demanding? He's been demanding. Yes. And as long as it has what you sign for when you sign LeBron just you getting a great basketball player. You get an ABC of him. And then ABC of spores and everything else that comes with that. And they're just the nature of where sports is now. Well, not spoil because though the sports don't allow things like that basketball. Yeah. I was just the nature of the NBA and the power that players have gained and earned over the years. Right. So does this is what it is not that many of them. But not at all not at all about four six. I wouldn't even say that many. But yes, sir, guys that walk in a room in certain things you. You know that this is going to be a part of the conversation. Right. You know? And and it's just they are looked at his divas looked at it as hard to deal with is so social outcomes with that, man. But like, I I've always with for the last six seven years, I've said like everything is more important out in basketball. No, everything else social media, dress code like everything else is more important than the game of basketball, and you were a basketball. And again, I'm a basketball guy. I wanna play now. That's what I'm here for and everything else is great everything else has cherries on top. But right. I'm a basketball player heart. Right. That's that's who. I am. That's what I came up in this is, and that's what I'm gonna leave as-. Yeah. And everything else. We can do we can do that. But I'm a basketball player. I can become a great business, man. Great faa. I can do all of those things. But stars. I'm great. I'm a basketball. Now I couple years ago in our business. Everybody started talking politics, and I'm like, listen. I'm just trying to be great at sports. I don't think anybody cares about my politics, which by the way could alienate half my audience. So in the end, I mean, I turn to actors. I love hearing. I'm talking about acting. That's not to say that a basketball player and actor can't talk global warming or not at all. But I'm more fascinated with their hoops or they're acting..

I feel like we're done now with the segment I feel like that was upon just closed out the poetry quarter. So play the home improvement thing. And we'll we'll move on. I should what if there was a I could make a home improvement remix that was sort of like kind of fresh kind of like poetry kind of. Snaps. Don't be doing that. But what's up home? I'm so glad that you've mentioned jazzy. Oh, okay. Because our next poets from DJ jazzy, Jeff is a big jazz enthusiasts. Okay. And his name is Robert Pinski, Robert Pinski. I know that name he was the poet laureate from nineteen ninety seven to two thousand that's almost certainly not. His name. He was also in an episode of the Simpsons. Maybe that's it. There's an episode where Lisa goes to college. And she goes to a poetry reading that Robert Pinski is reading that. I may be thinking of salute your shorts. I think there was a cow Penske. Yes to wasn't. He like the cool kid came in and like season three. Like had a saw. I remember his interrupted. He like had a sausage. They was like really excited about summer sausage. Yeah. Weird show, but this is a different guy. Yeah. It is turns out all right. So he has written nineteen books. Most of what your poetry, and he is a former saxophonist that says that being a musician was profoundly influential in his interest in poetry that makes. I mean, it makes so much sense that it's almost obvious like the two are so I feel like in in in extricably link. Exactly. Yeah. And I read an interview with him where he talks a lot about musicality. And why that's you know, a really inspiring part of poetry for him part of being poet laureate. We've talked about this before Irun interviewer. He said, there's actually no, you know, explicit requirements of the job. But he really kind of leveraged that opportunity to really expand the reach of poetry. So he created an online course called the. Of poetry, which is available to the public and has been since twenty fourteen just for free. Yeah. That's incredible. Yeah. He so he is a professor at Boston University. And so he used that platform to kind of share the course, but each little lecture part of it is only like two to five minutes long. Oh, wow. Okay. C can really kind of parcel out like, you know, little pieces of interest, depending on where you are. The course if you read the course ascriptin, it says, the course has the underlying principle that the more, you know, about an art the more pleasure. You will find in it. And so you can find all these videos if you searched for the art of poetry. So what are you which which of his his poem? I just wanted. I haven't had a poem in book in six months, I'm dying. I also wanna talk about this other great thing. He did when he was poet laureate. Which was he started the favorite poem project, which is favourite palm dot org. Thousands of Americans from varying backgrounds had the opportunity from every state to share their favorite poems..
