"Question number three, do you think Donald Trump's sexual assault case will affect his presidential run? Are you and other supporters being blind and unfair to the facts of the matter? Yes, I am being blind. Oh, wait a minute. If I know I'm being blind, then how could I be blind? No, I think, look, Donald Trump, I don't know the details of his life before he became president. I do know that. The witch hunt on him is unlike anything we've ever seen. The only thing you could compare it to is the assassination of John F. Kennedy, that there were people so horrified that somebody would be president that they would kill him in the case of Kennedy. Ron DeSantis Is Upping the Ante in His Battle Against Disney
"Ron DeSantis just had a press conference in which he talked about new measures that he is taking or considering taking to bring Mickey Mouse to heal to bring Disney to a recognition that it is the Florida legislature and the governor and not the Disney corporation that runs the state of Florida. Disney has been sort of thumbing its nose that Ron DeSantis not only did they claim victory, our lawyers were so clever. We made a secret deal with the old oversight board. We've got this contract that now gives us autonomy over the Disney properties, but Disney is also having for the first time ever, a kind of official pride week event, which they're now publicizing. So clearly Disney is on a path where they're basically saying, okay, we're gonna take on the governor and we're going to prevail and Ron DeSantis is like, that's actually not going to happen. And in the press conference, there's actually something to watch. Very different from the Trump press conferences, which are more whimsical. Trump is more of an attack dog in his rhetoric, and in some ways more of a comedian. Desantis is very measured. He's very methodical, but he outlines here. Step one, you're step two. We might even do step three. And so let's look at these steps because they're actually fantastic. First he goes, we're considering the state of Florida. Maybe building a competing theme park. And that would be, of course, a very interesting challenge to Disney. Number two, we could increase taxes on the Disney on Disney World. Number three, and this I think he meant a little bit tongue in cheek, but maybe not. He's like, we could, we could maybe think of locating a state prison right next to the Disney properties.

Now I would say all in all, people's heads are definitely on the bigger issues swirling around. Take for example a post that went quite viral over the weekend from Adam Driver on Twitter, whose profile reads not the Adam Driver from Star Wars. The thread kicks off the empire is imploding and goes through more than 30 recent stories all relating to the supposed collapse or at least radically shifting landscape of the American led global order. A few of atoms examples. Number three Saudi openly divorces USA and ties nuptials with Iran and China. Number four D dollarization trade agreement signed. Number 5 Taiwan strait controlled by China. Number 17, China domestic chip manufacturing advancing rapidly. Number 18 American banking system on brink of collapse. Number 20, mass protesting in Franks, Macron struggling to keep control. 25 swift system alternative developed by Russia slash Iran increasingly being adopted. 26 an unusual increase in train derailments, factory explosions, chemical spills and contamination events across the U.S.. Number 30, demand for Zimbabwe's gold coin skyrocketing following calls by African leaders to stop using the USD as a primary currency. Now, I don't totally agree with all of the characterizations of events in the thread, but that sort of secondary to the broader point, which is that the collection of these things under this framework of the empire is imploding clearly has resonance. So we're going to use that as a jumping off point today for a bit of a geopolitics primer and catch up. And let's start on the themes of trade, China, and changing alignment. Last week, French president Emmanuel Macron and EU commission president Ursula von der leyen visited Beijing to meet with Chinese president Xi Jinping. The two European leaders had somewhat diverging interest during their visit. Borderland represented the concerns of the European Union, articulating that continued friendly relations with China were contingent on Beijing refusing to provide material support to Russia in a speech last week ahead of the visit, she said that China's interactions with Russia quote will be a determining factor in U China relations. Underlying stress the goal of quote derisking trade with China, a somewhat softer touch than the American rhetoric of a decoupling, but still strong enough to convey her concern for protecting European interests.

It was an eerie feeling for me, jeez. What is the point of this? Well, it's not that I'm they expect me to break and run. I surrendered voluntarily, so the point of it is, is the humiliation. That is the point of it, to make you feel like you're a prisoner that you're a captive. And notice that this is being done before you convicted of anything. Number two, your fingerprinted. And again, it's the indignity of it. You can't say to them. May listen, you already have my fingerprints. I fingerprints that I've taken on multiple occasions. I'll submit my fingerprints. He's charged apparently with gun running and Farah violations and various things. And he claims that he is innocent and that he's only been arrested to shut him up about what he knows about the Biden family business. And you know, a lot of his story does check out. He is regarded in his orbit in Washington, D.C. as, you know, he's well regarded. He's a legitimate energy expert. He's a former high ranking officer in the Israeli defense force. He has multiple degrees and he also talks about this FBI mole that he claims Hunter Biden used to tip off his Chinese partners that there was an FBI investigation into them. And there is some corroboration of that from the reporting that we've already done from the laptop. We know that Hunter Biden did have contacts within the FBI. Oh, obviously is huge because it matters the most, but I mean, I've been here today. Um, we're just taking the one planet time one day at a time preparing and just ready to ready to do it. But just working, working all right now, so when the title comes, will be hyped up for sure. All right, Speaking of the work when you and I spoke last season, we talked about how you establish yourself in Miami. So now that you're preparing for your third season, do you feel like a vet? Or do you still feel like the young guy? The new guy? I'm I feel like a vet. Um, definitely. You're going into year three a little bit. Obviously, I got a lot to learn. Still on just from the older guys having having Malcolm Brown in the room has been a lot of help for myself. Um But definitely I'm not a rookie at all anymore. I mean, the young guy excuses ain't there anymore at all. I think those kind of go out the window after your rookie rookie camp anyways, but, uh, definitely a little bit older, but still got a lot more lot more to learn a lot more to grow from. So yeah. I like that. The younger excuses are out the door earlier. This office's debate said something that was really interesting. You said I'm better, just more better in the mind Beverages physically ready to go. I know what I'm looking for. I know my strengths and my weaknesses. I'm trying to get those ought to become strengths. And make my strength even stronger. My response to my question for you is how much of the growth in your game has been physically and then how much of it has been in your mind? Um, I would say a lot more in my mind. Obviously, a physical aspect. Just, uh, making that jump, obviously from high school to college is always a jump and then from college, the league was even bigger jump. Just with the guys you play against guys are bigger, faster, stronger. You got to do that, But I think the mental is the the biggest for myself. Um, everybody's good. Everybody's fast. I think if you can just know what you're looking forward, just for that is that players you have in front of you right now. Um, you can be just that 10th of a second or whatever. It may be quicker than the opposition, So I think that's been my biggest biggest strength. In a sense of just growing. I think when I first came in, I'll So you just kind of playing football and reacting to everything, and, uh Once you get all that once you get into the league, I mean, that's that's not always how you can play. I mean, obviously it's there's some guys that can just out there just kind of muscle everything but not being the biggest guy. You gotta kind of tapping that mental aspect of it. Myles Gaskin joining us That's interesting to me like something else. You said. It's not about getting to the league. It's about how long you can stay in the league and a quote you were 1/7 round pick. There are a lot of guys who were selected ahead of you who are no longer even in the league. So what does it take to not only survive but to thrive in the NFL in your mind? Just taking it every day is one day at a time. Uh, appreciating every day. You have, um I feel like having a Having an open mind to listen to coaches. They always say, uh, I mean, a lot of people hear this from when your little girl about two years. Um so obviously just listen to coaching, taking coaching the end kind of coming into coming in the door, no pride, leaving that outside. And I'm ready to work every single day. I think that's just how you come back, do anything in this life and this just having to be football for me? All right, So it's It's got to be something like we've got to work every single day. I got in, you know, originally trained in cardiac surgery, you know, open heart surgery and vascular surgery. You know in typically that has to do with the arteries. Um Andre arteries of the blood vessels that carry blood, You know, from the heart to the body in about 10 years ago, I kind of decided to Segway into specializing specifically in vain care, and you know it's been It's been a tremendous change for me. On Gwen of the One of the most exciting things about vain care is that the technology has really exploded or the last, you know, 20 years, let's say I mean, before, you know, Before that time we were doing stuff like surgical vein stripping for varicose veins. And you know Venus disease in general, and that was those were procedures that we did. In the hospital under a general anesthetic on did pretty uncomfortable in a bunch of incisions and all that sort of stuff. And you know, one of the things that really attracted me to get into Vain care is the fact that we do everything we do we do in the office anymore. Everything we do is done very minimally Invasive Lee, So it's just, you know, little needle instead of incisions were doing just little needle puncture sites. Um and, um, Yeah, it's great for the patient. Absolutely. Technology is such a wondrous development, and we cite this in some of the more apparent things such as electronic personal devices, and even if we Talk about the news. There's many, many revelations about technological advance, but it's in medicine. That is just so profoundly important has had great impact. Yeah, just giving. I mean, just even with the code vaccine development and treatment, etcetera sure that has been fast track, but Vain care, You know you I'll be honest, I do. Many people really consider the health of their veins. And if they don't why should they and secondarily to that? How could they ensure they're doing the best further? Venus system. Yeah, that's a That's an excellent question, because that's really one of the major hurdles that we have to that we get over. We had We have to get people over. Because you know the the impact of vain disease. Um, on people in general has been tremendous. I think tremendously ignored in the past, and I think you know us as physicians. Just in general. We sort of minimal minimalized. It number one number two. Those people who did go through treatment again. It was it was a difficult kind of procedure. On and you know a fair amount of risk just going into the hospital having a general anesthetic all those types of things. But it's been made so much easier. And, um, the thing is that you know often people feel like G varicose veins, and all those things that come along with it is primarily a cosmetic problem, and it is not in any way, shape or form. And, you know, varicose veins. You know what's happening when people have varicose veins? Well, nearly all of those people they have varicose veins, those air dilated veins on the surface of their legs. They can see those and s O. That's easily identified, but nearly everybody with varicose veins has a problem with the function of the veins that are deeper in the leg. Yes. And that is why then they developed the superficial signs of your varicose veins. Spider veins, skin discoloration, that kind of thing. So so really what we're treating. Is the poor function of the veins there deeper in the leg. Now we get rid of varicose veins, too, in the process, but But the crux of the problem you know, the root problem is that abnormal function of those deeper veins. And the other hurdle that we have to get over all the time is, you know people? There's all sorts of symptoms and problems that people may have with when they have vain disease. We call that Venus insufficiency. That's sort of the official name of it. Very close. Means is just one of them..

You could just tell from the beginning the type of competitor he was. He was the same way when he competed at the elite 11. Yeah, I think that's the biggest thing. Don't get over your skis. Don't get overconfident.
