"Well when we left you. Yesterday of some very very dodgy shoutouts not overseen by david law. It had already been the most breathless and exhilarating grand slam day. That either i or matt could remember. It's possible that david lowe with his more exhaustive and long memory might have been able to set a straight on that but in terms of and my it was about as dramatic as it gets and somehow found a way to get more dramatic after we stopped recording. When we left you name a soccer wasn't quite cruising is a competitive match against eighteen year. Old layla fernandez and it continued to be a competitive match but one that looked like it was going to scripts name. Soccer was a set-up break to the good and serving for the match and barring a few moments from that point on which she somewhat fell apart now that is that slightly reductive take on on what happened. Leyla fernandez and is extraordinary. I will never understand by mechanically how she produces the power that she does but she she does it So there's there's a lot. There's a lot moti that loss than than just miami assault could being big. Not right but matt noumea. Soccer is is not right and we could. We could see that in the match it was. It was a very almost as soon as she lost the game to serve for the match there was a there was a defeat about her body language even though she was very much in that stage and she was still playing some very very good tennis somehow mentally. It'll seem to go away so so quickly. we wanted. If she would come to press she did come to press And the there were a lot of arresting and distressing and saddening coats in the Probably the the headline one is hearing her. Say i feel like when i win. I don't feel happy. I feel relief when i lose. I feel very sad. And i don't think that's normal and then three to. She said she would be taking a break from tennis and she wasn't sure when she would be playing next didn't at that point. She pulled her visor. Down was very very clearly crying and struggling should say that she was given the opportunity to to duck out of that press conference at a couple of moments she and she. She insisted she wanted to get that out there but it was very very tough to watch matt. It was yeah. It was all quite tough to watch. Starting as you said with that moment she loves to serve at six five in the second-set just as you've described soon as she cracked and lost her serve. It was clear that sexual thin layer of confidence that she'd had through the match. I didn't think she'd been returning particularly well but she'd been voteless on serve. You hadn't faced a break point up until that point but then in that tiebreak. I think she went five. Loved down in it she. She talks to racquet There was there was a lot of stress. She was from past and she went on to lose the match. And then the press conference was very tough watch It actually reminded me very different circumstances by different reasons but it reminded me of andy. Murray's press conference at the twenty nine nineteen australian open That one at the start of the tournament because she so clearly had something she wanted to say and that was the defining feature of that mary press conference it was it was him telling the world something. He been living with for months She wants it four questions. In english i was was pretty somber but pretty composed as well and then the question which prompted that. You've just read out was in japanese. I'm not actually sure what the question was But asaka takes questions and japanese and john system in english and that was her answer and sort of while she was giving that out says she looked over to someone. I'm guessing her agent certainly someone in her team To say. I want to say what we talked about in the hallway you know. Th that clearly had a discussion before the press conference She had something she wanted to say. And she said she told people she's not occas- he wants to take a break from the sport It was really hard for to get it out. They will would suppose when she said that. But you know what a what a brave thing to do to say it And it was a really stunning moment. Actually and i think shocking. At the time but i think we don't know when we'll see amazon soccer again on the tennis court. We don't know if we will see no soccer again. I think the future will also dictate kind of how we see this press conference. Yeah yeah there's i mean i i find myself wondering and we've we've no real way of answering this How many top tennis players not necessarily taught. But i expected exaggerated. The top have felt this way and felt able or inclined to express it and be open about it in the way that namely soccer has. I mean is lonely at the top. That's a cliche about sport isn't it and sort of a throwaway. Yeah that's the small price that you have to pay but maybe it's not that smaller price And i'm not saying this not stuff. Burr unique today soccer and hurry. Experience going on but we'll definitely is unique is the way she is opening up about it and that was i was incredibly brave. I think whatever you might think about all the particulars of if everything that sort of unfolded with her relationship with the press and with sports over the past few months. That was a very brave thing to do when it's not for us to comment on whether taking a break is the right thing. If she thinks it's the right thing then it's the right thing to do and tennis will miss her But i didn't want to watch her playing tennis being unhappy then when they wanted to watch anyone being unhappy so we absolutely wish. I well as we do. David law. He will notice isn't is not just staying silent. Haven't ganged him. He is absent for another night. He's taking it easy he's okay folks He welcomes any and all messages of of wellness. He's he's he's in a conscious enough state to gladly accepts an and receive well wishes But but not in a well enough state to Coherently tribute to contribute to the podcast. Sally david we very much hope. He's currently asleep. We we do. We do annoyingly just just to wrap up events from last night. So how despite living in a sort of fever dream. He still managed to as the predictions. He did annoying. Yeah because francis. Tefa beat andrei rib love which. I like rice sort of love. I love the francis staffer. He said i know my jaw. Enough rebe love. I'm coming for you route and did it..

"Forty year old should not be making the semi finals of wimbledon. And you know the the younger opponent really should able to solve life with roger federer. noumea's almost have him on a string. Derek darrow say. Yeah i think it's sort of almost oil and impossible. The federal will ever win wimbledon again. Because the thing in its haldeman. You know he's bound to come up again. Someone like her as much younger fresher. Fisher who is just gonna put together performance to knock him out. And that's not to say i take win him back next year. Like this debate and speculation. He was asked about that in his post-match much press conference and you know he hoping for fans sake that he he is back. But i do think one could expect too much you know. He was trying to become the oldest man to reach. The wimbledon semifinals in the apron. Era today oversee wasn't able to achieve. I think he could probably have a decent enough run to say fourth round or something again but whether he is enough for him i think he really wants to be in it to win it. And if he's not going to be getting there that comes retirement a place where he might think. Is it worth it. I mean fat. This was his first straight-set loss would in nineteen years that just shows how dominant he has been. He's you know he may one's been able to knock him out in straight-sets since anche chin two thousand t- which instantly went heck. I was only five years old. He's doing remarkable things. His age is is federal army to get to the get to the quarter-finals was a very very very impressive effort but i do wonder particularly with his his movement. It just feels a bit and his foot work. It just doesn't feel like he's set and ready to make you walk quite easy i see on. Tv is quite makeable and unsteady sort of ground. straits doesn't seem like he's in the right position and maybe that's why he's making more unforced ariza than he'd like to particularly. I think just kind of regulation sort of rally shots. I mean in terms of the breakdown particularly is four hundred. today was just not just know at the races. And may maybe that was a factor with regards to the cool. You know we've seen this year. The movement has been initi- particularly on the center number one course in terms of Fitting we seen people slipping. So i didn't know if that that was so playing on his mind or he was kind of aware of it and again it was sort of helping him set up when he was kind of getting into the rallies. Yet it does. It does sort of leave. I think assad it leaves aside. You know sad figure. I think in terms of in federal walking off center one of his his home his territory and for cash to come in. And just you know. I can away is. It's an away fixture fame right. Federa onset call with a hundred percent capacity. It's a home fixture and for her cash to come in when three sets zero straight-sets it could be a very very disappointing moment. If you know if you kind of thing can of reflect on it. Yeah i mean. I mean. we should congratulate her cash. Obviously because he you know he's into this stage of islam for the first time and it's very sad federal in his fans but heck. I should never been building the third round. What is going to happen at some point. wasn't it. yeah. I mean he's certainly got the game for it. We saw about you know he won. The miami most is earlier this season. So and then. So we've had a a adult patch was re performing very well and they take his casey's and was anything dry about but yeah he's performing now and he's got bertini in the semifinal who has been in a semi fought over slam before they reach the. Us open semis in twenty nineteen but this is only his second major semi You know he's a bit more matured. Our few years old got more experience on the tool. You'll see one queens. He's on a ten match win streak I would say. And he's talked a few sets coming through the tournament but today he did enough to get over the line against felix six three five seven seven. Five six three really. I think the pivotal of this match was kind of five. All in that third set bertini held the break and that in the fourth set went in early break off and it was kind of a if a formality of that point so he was able to to step it up and To come through that and not let not let failures get back into not not let it go into face. It was a tight tight clash. I mean they know each other say well. They're really good mates. I think they watch the football together the night before so it was it. Was you know it was nice that they kind of facing each other budget barrett. Td what she the. The italian engineers very very passionate guy. All italians are probably watching it. It was a very you know again. I think felix did well. I think to live with bertini. Particularly i think in the you know the first two sets You know it was. It was one one sat pace. And i thought barrett though is actually doing quite well to handle that massive bertini first-serve I think more often than not this tournament when bertini has his servant. He's won the point. I think he was so of averaging around so of eighty percent coming into this match but you know against value. See in the you know the fest compass has for. Oj seem distinct really. Well she's got the back in play and get bertini into Get bertini into a rally and from their own. It was you know. I think bertini sort of upped his level and maybe jail. You seem a bit tight. Perhaps you know seven five in that third set it was it would really disorder. I think of pivotal not which was quite a quite decisive. But i mean for bertini to reach the second semifinal. I think he's one twenty. Two twenty four matches on on across this season has been. He's done. I think what we have expected as fans fame today having seen him goldwyn queens kanta really to get to the semi-finals i think now he's got a big big opportunity Against cash where. I see a lot of extended rallies but i could see i can see you know. One of those payers has a big opportunity to make their first epa grand some final. Yeah absolutely a maiden final likely. Going to be against turkovich. It's quite the and this..

"You'll get it in your inbox whenever we update either the site with an article or with the podcast. That's nba big board dot com and we talked about some of the guards. That really impressed this in the five on five in the first segment of this. Let's talk for a minute about a few bigs. There any bigs that really stood out to you. It's it's harder for biggs the show well in the five on five because they often don't have the ball in their hands. They're sort of at the mercy of guards and what guards wanna do. There any bigs. That really stood out for you at the five on five. If i had to pick one guy and it wasn't a great group of this year but i think to me the clear standout with noumea's keta from from utah state. Who the player. I was really high on when he was a freshman. I thought he should have stayed in the draft then because he would have got something able to develop but not his credit. He went back to utah. State and actually made made something of experiencing. He got hurt which is unfortunate a sophomore. But he's added stuff to his game Clearly you know. I think he measured. He was the tallest longest player at the wasn't surprising. Because he measured you know. Two years ago and taco fall was the only guy who was substantially bigger than him right so But he was just really active in again he think he benefited from being on the team with all the good guards him josh. Christopher grimes Preston they were on that one team that played really well together so those guys are moving the ball a little bit and it definitely helped because you know to me a scott some easy ones but just just as a rebounder was very effective. He altered shots. He's very long Has gotten much better in terms of screening rescreening understanding how to do that part of his game and i think i think a pretty good chance. You can get drafted just because It's not a group of around bags. I would say him in the middle guy. I'd add would be jericho sims. Who tested extremely well. He was pretty good. He was active in the in. The scrimmages didn't blow me away but just the overall Are there knowing. He's afraid the athlete he's in great shape Big frame is the tools never been questioned but just You know if you're putting him up against you know like charles bassey that type of guy. What's the big difference You know that some people will. We'll talk about now so again. Just just showing up in showcasing. The quality of the the tools can go a long way. So yeah. I'm with you with both of those guys. Kate is a guy. I've also been really high on for a while now and i think it it wasn't again just that you know with these prospects. They go out and put a good outline. That's how active. They were how hard they played. I really thought that he was extremely active. Hustled he was trying to defend and he just he showed well. i think he's skilled. I think he's huge and even though the nba is giving away. Her has been for years getting away from biggs there. There's a he's a guy who can stick on an mba roster. And i think the draft is so fluid starting. I don't know in the late teens. Early twenties on down through the rest of the draft. He could absolutely have moved the needle another guy from a smaller school. They get another chance to see in this environment and played well and and i agree with you. Sims at least passes the test as far as he's an nba athlete. You know he looks the part. He's like dwight howard esq physique and athleticism doesn't have the game and that's going to be the you know the question marking really dunked. The basketball i think shot seventy percent or sixty nine point six percent at the rim for texas anything else. Outside of that is a little bit of a question mark for jericho. Sims wasn't an elite rebounder locker at texas. So i i worry a little bit about this being a guy who has those measurable 's you know there is a thing called physique bias. Where come in and you know the player just looks like an anonymous out there and you want you want to like him and find a way i. I'm just curious based off of breaking down as much texas film as we've seen you know he's a four year senior. What is what is his role going to be like at nba. So i think you're right. There's not a lot of big men that are out there right now and so that maybe you know. Maybe that's going to help him but he's a guy that might be too helped by a good combine. My guy is stuck inside going maybe higher than it should and that happens every year. There was a surprising number. Jeremy of of players who decide not to play at the combine. And i'm not just talking about guys they didn't show up at all guys that were at least in my opinion clear. Second round prospects. That don't participate in the five on five. I had number of nba. Gm's call out a few of those prospects by name that they can't understand why they ended up not playing their charles. Bassey brandon boston junior. Aaron henry roco purkis in jeremiah. Earl rahn shahr sharp jt. Thor these are all prospects. That aren't locks. I think for the first-round but don't decide to play on the five on five. Who was the most disappointing to you. That they didn't even didn't even show. That's a tough question. Because there a lot of guys i could identify. I mean. I mentioned before i think. Bj boston is one who i really. I didn't necessarily expect him to be here and do it. You know but that's that's person who i think has come up as someone who team really would like to see just because it's been so long since she's seen him play on the disappointing season. Obviously on it's hard to know what the blame on context what to blame on the player how that affects the projection for a guy who some people thought. It was going to be a top ten. Pick So i think naturally you know he's one of those guys that Have been helpful to see. More of i would even add cam thomas to that group where i think they'll probably be a first round pick i. I don't think he has promised. Like i know he pulled out as jets pulled out I'm not sure if those guys you know those rumors going around. I don't know if i believe them. became thomas has got to. I'm dislike. I was never super high on just because the way he plays. Then it's like well. There are other scores in the strapped to it. You know you have a bunch silent or josh. Christopher who glazed similar role on may have more upside in terms of just what they do physically right. So that's the guy who get. I expected him to play. But just by not being here. I think there's some outta sight outta mind effect and the guys you are seeing. You're thinking about often. yeah. I think i think boston was probably the.

"Because i haven't closed okay you can keep talking though about how awesome there i have heard people complaining of i mean trying to defend fled cruise. Saying that he deserved vacation. And don't you ever take a vacation and it's so ridiculous. When there was so much that he could have done to help. His constituents is just ridiculous to me how anyone could defend his behavior. But we're we're getting off track. And i wanted to talk more about good vibes. And congratulations are due to naomi osaka. She's a champion of the australia. Open in twenty twenty one and she. That's a fourth grand slam that she's won so so when people talk about goats and tom brady. I wanna remember women. Like noumea's sokha in Serena williams and plenty of women are goats in their own fields. Now it took me a while to go and still get it and its greatest of time. Oh greatest greatest of all time okay. I thought athlete was in there but now anyway one more political good vibe. Just because she's my hometown girl. Lena hildalgo and i also learned recently. She's the same age as my daughter. But she is the head of harris county's governing body. She's a judge and the first woman to be elected county judge and only the second to be elected to the commissioner's court and she has just been named to the time. Top one hundred list. The one hundred next list says she's a up and coming she is very up and coming. This is just one step on her very long probably path and she's already met with the typical resistance as we've discussed here with disgusting means and She'd be better. She didn't talk so much or should be better. You know why is your hair. Not looking great name like because she probably doesn't have water. I was watching this interview that she did In light of this crisis in someone on reddit said well. Her hair's looking really ratty today and i'm like like you had power or water you know is really kind of like these expectations that come up and i even think people think.

Republican base strongly supports President Trump, and they're deeply disappointed with this result. So for elected Republicans to step up a this point and congratulate the president's probably something that run constituencies are going To reject the highest ranking African American in the U. S. He said the American people could have confidence that the election was fundamentally fair and that its outcome was clear. President Trump is still refusing to acknowledge his election defeat. Our North America correspondent Will grant assesses Mr Bush's comments. He said President Trump had the right to follow the legal route and congratulated him on a strong campaign and said that his supporters would find their views reflected in the United States in the coming years. Nevertheless, in another itself, it doesn't necessarily put the pressure on Mitch McConnell, the Senate majority leader, or India of the other major figures in the party to follow suit, because I think they're playing this balancing act of making sure they don't fall away from the president of this late hour while also making sure they're not being seen toe not recognized the reality that's in front of their eyes. President Trump has sent out another barrage of tweets, claiming the vote was stolen, but provided no evidence to support his claims of fraud. The former White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, said that Donald Trump was simply in denial. Will be totally and holy repudiated because this sort of anger and this sort of populous fervor and this rank or once it dies down, people go back to the regular lives. Say why Why was I so involved with that was so intense about that they'll go back to American football in American baseball. And he'll be on the ash heap of history. This is the one that was on the illusionist they were talking about naming the cosmic crisp. And how the branding? People were trying all sorts of different names and how that process works. I mean it's a great name. They did a great job. I if someone says here's a cosmic crisp abide it. Let's sit here's a yelm Iraq. I'd also maybe I'd look then it brown apple with a bit terrible accident of nature. I read it doesn't taste good. But that's neat that it's an apple. How can it not taste good? If NOUMEA's right in the name it would be like naming an apple red delicious and having it be. The worst one would do that. Good boy question that logic. Delicious as their Gross Save Five Kamio Kamio. That's a good name real. It IS REAL CAMEO APPLE. Six six cockpit improved. It's real should now. "Right well now blake. We know the traumatic things that happened in your high school but I want to know what kind of high school kid. You're like what who did you run with? I mean so popular. So back mean yeah. I was like the quarterback quarterback. Yeah I was like the quarterback and all that sophomore year starting quarterback but like my screws we though because it was so small that there weren't like click because we all grew up together so we all knew each other like obviously in highschool different. You sit with at lunch if you will. You know I mean I guess. That was the cool table but there really wasn't like a bad tape. We didn't have bad kids. Get kids and it's kind of weird thing in a small town. How big was your class? That's really nice. I had five hundred per grade. Yeah so it's pretty big. Ben What about you? I was had four hundred per grade And it's a small town. My high school experiences while but Blake. We got through the football around some time from quarterback all your. I come into the other day when you were throwing the balls. Oh you're quarterback try try and my heart is still have lived back my golden years as I sleep on my fiancee's in my fiance's parents house asking you to eat their food. Hello I've been down in Nashville Tennessee. Now for about two weeks We literally all seven of US have quarantined inside this house. So it's like it's funny every seven or seventeen seven there seven but it's funny blake are fans love it. I love it is like Ashen. I've talked about it. We've turned into high schoolers all over again because all of a sudden. We're like freaking out. Our parents like eating their food were sleeping on their couch. This whole thing has been wild everyday. It's like mom can't give cheese. I don't when I'm ever going to grow out of that. I think it's when you you have kids of your own I was thinking that maybe I still don't like I don't think anybody's adult until they had kids. I think so either. I completely agree. Jason Tanner are one hundred percent adults. Jerry tonight we're going to sit in the backseat of the car. And My mom and dad are gonNA drive. Okay so then. Where did you go to college and did you play High School and College? It'd be play highs woke up. Did you like quarterback in college. Search of yes I went to Hastings College a small college in Nebraska. I WANNA say five hundred thousand people like not so pretty like a big high school high school big high school be. I played football at their house. Recruited so it's funny because I can't believe well. Some of the pictures have come out but I was accrued as a quarterback played quarterback for about a year year and a half going into spring training spring season of my sophomore year. We got this bad ass. Yuko quarterback match was not good enough. So I went to the coach and I was like coach. I'm never GONNA play they. Can I do something else? He's like? Yeah actually we love your Napoli and we think we can put some weight on like you want to be a tight end so I was like sure and I was up to two forty when I was out and I was a big Just ate like five chicken breast for lunch. You know like huge steaks for dinner. I was loved live as great beyond about two forty going into my senior year of college. I was like my neck was like he. Different Blake definitely different point. How are you at the Ladies Throughout High School and College? High School at two girlfriends author Highschool. So college was initially timeframe so I was. I was super shy growing up in in high school. College is kind of where I broke out a little bit but wasn't a big man on campus quote unquote anymore So it was more of a time. I think every high schools like NOUMEA's like the quarterback like that guy but then in college. I got to kind of reinvent myself because people didn't know me us that and so I liked. That's what's so cool about college. Is that like all of a sudden? There are not clicks anymore. You are fresh person is your rep goes. Yeah and I wanted to break out of the stereotypical athlete. Like I wanted to break out of that. I didn't WanNa be that guy anymore because I think a lot of people would only see that so called school from me i. I took a bunch of classes that I never would have ended up getting degrees marketing communication. I really broke out of my like probably software years broke out of my shell. I was still like super shy freshman year. It's offering broke out of my shell and like people didn't know his jock. I was just at fun game campus. Who Knew Everybody was friends? Everybody in that kind of thing so that you're a pretty natural with the ladies. I mean everyone loves we call it back seat. Girls Love you coming off. Becca sees and like doing events with you and just seeing their reaction to you was incredible and then in paradise. We obviously saw that. You know you were girl that a lot of your guy that a lot of girls had their eye on and well. We know that there is drama that ensued. And you didn't. You weren't exactly that girl that wanted to end up. Everybody was going like trying to make sure that didn't end up with anybody like I think. That was the plane going into paradise but there wasn't initial attraction that many girls had. What is it about you and did you always have this power over women? I don't know I think I just I think like I mean like self described here and I'm going. Oh don't do it. Don't sweat it no. I think. Maybe I'm just I think people are comfortable around me. I guess I think very yeah. I'm very like I don't know self deprecating. I don't think like I don't take myself seriously. And so I think people just comfortable around against. I think that's actually pretty good answer to talk to. Yeah and I think I'm always that person whether it be at like like parties clubs or family reunions or what a house parties that want to make sure everybody's having a good time. WanNa make sure everybody's comfortable and everybody's there's nobody left out. I think that's kind of who I am. I guess so. Then you have a series relationship before the back the Bachelorette. Yeah I have What had I've had that many girlfriends through through lives four four. I mean on the Scout. High School before I had one that I lived with dated for years years. Lived with her Right out of college and then another one right about eight nine months before The bachelorette that was pretty serious. I thought was the one in everything that didn't work and that's what I knew going into the Bachelorette because I never really felt like this is the one this is it. I'm sitting down and getting married and going into the veteran. I knew I was capable of that. So it's like an exciting time for me. I was like okay I can get around like yes. This is it and which married candidate. I was GonNa say you are very eager on the Bachelorette you almost you kind of. You brought a lot of your relationship into it. I feel like I don't know hustle but I just think I don't know this fear that that was over the fear that like your other relationship was over kind of rolled over into the Bachelorette when you were like I know this is it but like it needs to actually happen this. I'm unlike Los Angeles. Maybe I guess early thought of it like that but no I think I just felt with Bekker's I think when I'm one of those people who like when I feel. I feel it ain't GonNa beat around the Bush. I love hard and I'm ready to go kind of thing and I think on the opposite when it comes like if I'm not willing to somebody I'm like scared to maybe say. Break it off and that kind of thing but when I'm in to somebody Minnesota in its yeah I know it. You know. It's one of those feelings and I've had that relationship before and I had that. During the Metro students you You come onto Becca season of the bachelorette bringing a lot of things that we've talked about Not a lot of relationships but some fairly serious ones You bring you know coming from high school being kind of The Popular Kid. The quarterback the good-looking quarterback to college. Where you still were an athlete very well known very liked You then have the moment where You start having a fulltime job. You had a great job. You were a what was your official title with. Coors. I mean basically a OPTIMA. Sales Rep is your cells ref per coors coming onto the Bachelorette where you did fall for. Becca yes out of respect for her. Garrett like we don't need to get into what that relationship fully look like but what it did. Do I remember when I first met? You is It held a lot of weight on your heart. Like there was a just a a deep. I don't want to speak for you. What was your relationship like with Becca as it ended? And what were your feelings for her leading you into that next season which is where we'll get into some of the details of where may be things wrong right or have you want to process it back now So I think I had a unique. Everybody has unique experience in the show. Everybody has different levels of the relationship with the lead or whatnot. But I think mine was interesting because I you know we clicked pretty much immediately and I remember being one night. You know there was a moment we had and I remember laying in bed being like. Oh No I'M GONNA fall for this girl. This is going to be really hard for me. fascinating were like other people. Like I know Jason had very late connection with her. You know of so like I had one of the ones. The early connections made that journey hard for me because I knew I was into her and adults other. People date her if you will And towards the ends I mean I guess. The last two weeks are incredibly difficult for me. Because I knew that I was into her in love with her The one thing I would suspect about back is that she gave everybody time on and she was able to Word I'm looking for in those moments. When she was with us she was with us. Was the thing about anybody else. Use in those moments and yeah. It was very hard at the end. I think people could see that In the Maldives was very hard for me but at the same time I was never angry and Becca never angry at Garrett or any of that kind of thing she made the decision she felt was right for her and saw. Never ever you know beaming ray at her for that so I checked for a minute. How did you get on the show? Yeah I I was nominated by my sister and my mom and then in October in the film March like six months worth of going through that whole process. You know how it is so yeah hate them and love them for For nominating me for the show so I remember coming back. I remember landing in Denver. You know calling my fantasy like let's meet in my place and that's talk and they all came in and I remember mom almost like wanting to apologize because I was heartbroken and she was on my God. I did this to you. Nominated you kinda funny like I remember watching that finale in the weeks leading up to it and being like I know she's supposed to be with Garrett but I think I need her to be with Blake because I don't know how this guy is going to get through it. I don't know if he's going to get through. I've never seen somebody like this head over heels show like truly you there was like a frenzy about you. I was like this man. Hoste leave her worried that was yes and like I was I was marrying love and like I said it was imagined like week three is when I was like. Oh my God like this is awesome. I could get you know. Really you know really be in this and it just builds and builds and builds and builds and builds and by the end. You know it'd been two months or whatever it was and watching people data. It's finally was like. Oh my God aquinas. Anybody know it's not an easy. Imagine watching me love on another man. It's not fun so the the note to take from all of this right now and getting to know you and there's a common theme here is One thing that you have done well if there is a definition of well from it is you. We have seen in the last few years of you being a part of this experience. Some of your highest highs in your lowest lows and we have seen it like for you These moments in this experience have been some of the most Impactful moments in your life like we have been a part of this with you And I've I I asked all these questions about You know Becca because a lot of the audience doesn't realize how real sometimes it is. But the break-up with Becca was a real break up for you. Yeah a very real. Rake up for me There's a Lotta I remember. In the moment..

"Physically with guy friends I will draw Ninja Turtles and then with the gals in school rule <unk> fifth grade fifth grade. I would draw a few IAN feuding the beast in like Disney characters like princesses and stuff like what's his name from the from the Campbell. What is it was some French? Yes the MIR NOUMEA's so dry him and like no mrs as I do check aw aw and that was a way of lying breaking the ice look I make drawings tools and stuff you know in so I was looking for ways to connect and in church we did for awhile go to a Spanish speaking church the passwords Dominican fact they were yeah so I don't actually no not even Dominican T._i.. I know but somehow in in Pasco Washington the were in so it's interesting because in each of those spaces we were still because we were Central American who still minority and underrepresented and so as not the jokes often but the family that understood is the most was this Dominican family and any other end and so they understood us they understood understood what was to be you know different obviously and so the Kinda are nothing on from Bonn away the culture there was a lot of Larry's got along their kids liked us. We like them. We hung out by MOM is so this is. This is an interesting thing. My mom instilled in me a sense of I call it respectful fear and is win Gene Wexler one so much to the extent that you you're afraid of their reaction. That's called being a parent like you love me rugby right and so oh pastor's kid so I I knew these pastures kids and they were always behind the scenes kind of subversive and they would suggest ideas that that of things to do activities might be my rules. You know yeah the peak as the P._k.. Pastures kids with would be like. Let's do this and I I even as a young kid was like you know in the back. No you guys like maybe my mom idea shat near the dirtiest kid at afraid to take any risks <hes> because I was like if we caught busted okay so question being the older kid. This is something I realized place when my sisters are five link thirteen Myanmar when I was little we I told me three though she countdown those because I was always afraid of consequences of always gonna be structured bootlegging follow this is this is not and then realized my sister when mom stayed account Intel and she was just like a message what's going to happen in the defiance. Hey instead of my mother is to paralyze nothing habit. She didn't hear not Mama flat me on the hand was she never me growing up and like she bought me on the him and washed over shells through through dared sounds like ridiculous kid my own but the different I realized happened to my this job. I was just like Yo. Oh my life has been a lie years so they tie Sushi. Would you would get punished them. Get sent you know as I never got down to three or up to Serena <unk> while your sister always into the cabin and nothing happened y yeah and she always pushing it like I like. She has a very different dynamics tonight's you eight years apart. It's like a study like every was one five years basically <unk> streak expense quake. I've I've got older relies on stage my life right like I was five years ago but did not get in trouble in my mind but she's always dying. I had a very different dynamic where I would have partner with no so let me go. She got all said illiterate. WHO found the auction? Be You know like I always had that back. The taking aim high like South this Dan teach please in kind of convince my mom this her but yeah just seeing different dynamic and you're talking earlier rather sister right and that different pressure that you feel as you being oldest Mele Aho C._B._S.. Senior sister in your siblings right yes. My sister is the. <music> only on she's the only girl family in either. She deserves all the credit for survive. That is really tough so mice. My father passed away. I was sixteen. It's the old is by five years on between me my sister so I was sixteen eleven and then my next <hes> the next brother over was at nine in the next seven moss show there was it added sense of responsibility in pressure. <hes> there is the the environment where we were there was the religious aspect of it because we avidly went to church. Now is something that we did <hes> actively and then in addition to all of that was the interpersonal dynamics of my siblings and the different ways that my mom parented each of us in there are aspects of my mom's personality now that I see so clear I got them from her. You know because my father was only with us for a certain extent so most of the time now of coming into adulthood his been <unk> really emulating my mother's decision decision making and seeing the way that my sister takes on portions of members personality versus the ones that I gravitate towards and growing up you saw very distinct type of pressure that was put on my sister it be self reliant be connor fee and I as the oldest was given almost caretaking role that was disdained and it so it was completely different approach you turn to two of us and I think really shape us in the way that we ended up developing into adults because of the way that you know my mom felt that she needed Raina San you know different types of different types of leashes for each of us now in she had different strings that she was holing in order to get get us to to see from her perspective one which why out of out of the things to choose having this do kind of funny that saying that like you the caretaker and everything unlike Huntington for pressures whereas women tend to be like kate you gotTa figure it out Doc id like independent but like especially growing up in America we are depended as women <unk> and enough kind of illegal way too much with North Lachey and interesting the feminist and like I truly independent like and then at the same time Latino culture since two now that you need a man so this is an ordinary on view vacant right right so that's so that reality exists and my mom was a little different. My mom never forced my sister to to be independent but then question her in the sense of like so what about a no view or my mom doesn't impose it on sister <unk> because my mom sees a lot of herself <unk> sister and there's fierce independence there is a entrepreneurial mindedness is my mom locks to support report that she really works hard and helping develop those those aspects message personality but my sister turned out to to really take on that way because my mom is very entrepreneurial way I took on the attributes I've gone attributes of being caretaker being mindful of being really aware viewed room and also acts as it's been very wear be our people and their behavior and and not only that but also to to know what to be soft. I learned that from my mother in I realize now more than ever how much I appreciated that being something that gleaned from her because it helped me navigate difficult situations oral. There's a time to be stern. Definitely you know I have some of my mom's temperament <unk> being star in business. This might be funny business. You're saying hey you're not <unk> backbone knocking to walk over me but then also there's a higher I feel like I have higher level empathy because of my mother so it's a little bit interesting because it didn't go it didn't go the way of my mom didn't raise a bunch of like much boys and and then like you know through food Dr that wanted to be you know all dressed up like my sister's like all about her like jeans enter Hoodie and like isn't Girlie girlie right and so that makes it difficult over her navigating these these nuances in culture that saying women are supposed to be this way. She's like I don't WanNa be that she gets that level of stern is for my mother like I don't have to conform that in mile away. I don't conform to you. Hey Masculinity. Is this this way in order to be perceived as a man. Will you know I learned from my mother and what I come to understand that empathy rematch yeah in how we navigate our lives and the people that we interact within that makes all the difference chair and it kind of funny how you're talking about that enterpreneurial mindset. I mean think kind of just wrapping it up. It's really interesting how you grow up in that survival mindset right and I realized this in my career how so many things that like I grew always like thinking strategically like hustling figuring out housing survive the next paycheck in this how lives you know it's it's really interesting because we don't have access to academia right together masters to get age and it's Funny Valley People Literally K. to learn how to think strategically our lives are constant struggle that you're just to automated money right like survive degree and just like making a novel another rating of Barry. I think immigrant mentality especially Latinos holiday but also like something that we learned for mothers right 'cause St Them <hes> trying to make it right to hustle and I think you did now. It's really tricky as penal has like the aspe- trying to navigate survival intellects throttling one of the things that I had in your Paulo that you're saying that you just accepting that you are this like you who magical colorful thing in this space that's just Milan trailing in writings and embracing that is being it has strain instead of like something that makes weird that you're achieved. She's so it's kind of what I got from that and just like overall as being lactic about like what it is watch how might identity may culture tyrod up and it's strange right like the difference resilient and what's going to empower our own community is right. No I totally agree. I think the greatest review to the resilience of our parents is that we become a version of them that stands in defiance against the odds because the risks that they took to leave the place they were in Canada. Were not posted these not supposed to be statistics. Say now there's also factors there is historically from the country's re come from there's a lot of tragedy and there's a lot of people who don't make it as a lot of people who didn't survive. There's a lot of people who are here with US anymore. Retry the in it's in your blood generational right in to see my mall be like well. You know what these are the things that drives me and even though I don't necessarily early agreed with all of the things all the time there are aspects of her personality that I now see I can see like.

"Dollars for phone are going to need to figure out the next step. And it doesn't look like making an even better twelve hundred dollar phone is the most natural next step. So I will I will say that the the calculation apple maters, I think that they put out to phones and not Noumea people bought them. Like, I think, you know, they're they're market. You know, I think that the the the weren't that cheap. But what I'm saying is is that they were the when they the the iphone whatever it was the SEO, whatever. Yeah. I bet you. I bet you them. See I bet you internally that the numbers were not in the, you know, those those. Okay. But they didn't do they didn't do as well as as the as the higher end ones. And so I think that that is part of the the indicators that Apple's markets not there, you know, as in the same way, you know. And I think that I do think though that those people aren't gonna buy more phones, but they might buy more cars, they might be interested in a are. They might be interested in more home kit things they might be interested in other services. And so the, you know, there's a lot of other places that apple you know, because there's lots of things when I look at it. This is my microwave is stupid. I would love to buy an apple microwave. Just worked the just worked just talked to my phone, and when I plugged it in it just connected to the wifi. And honestly, I'm with you. Except for you. And I. But you you just ill. And you just another another problem that most people they want. They have a microwave because they want heat up a Cup of coffee in the morning, and when they come home like drunk with a with a with a foil container of takeout. They wanna be able to reheat it for breakfast the next day, and okay and see demo video they love the fact look can talk to my phone and look it can act it can has a camera built in. So we're gonna actually figure that oh that's Moog ipad. I know how to know how to relate this. But really as soon as you a reliable job of heat a Cup of coffee in the morning reheating leftovers from last night, people do not figure out how to spend the extra. Why to spend the extra two hundred dollars and for a lot of apple products. That's what they're dealing with. But but the thing is is there. The question isn't most most is a horrible idea. Most most peop- what serving what most people want is going to be a I mean, that's just a lowest common denominator dropped to the ground. Not not worth even doing is not necessarily the what you should look at as you define the market is doing. Okay. You define your market you. They're actually not also also also calm lowest. Remember the by Paul kick Newton's, but because apple made a conceptual device palm said what if we made it? So you can actually stick it in his shirt pocket. And what have we actually gave you a developer kit in the box. So that people could write software without spending nine hundred dollars for developer kit. Sometimes you have to it's not necessarily making the cheapest shoddiest thing it's about what do people actually want. What are people asking us to make and partisanship beat making thing define your market to find a big enough to support what you need to do..

"Well, one of the major issues that will be presented to the appellate court is that a court Sinaga for by the name of Terry. Moore Carter overheard. The judge who presided over the original case Albert Sabo say to another judge in the N T room of the court quote ongoing. Going to help them fry the nigger unquote, referring to how the judge was going to instruct the jury other issues include prosecutorial misconduct. So part of what happened during the trial was that the prosecutor suppressed exculpatory evidence essentially that there was a fourth person at the crime scene. Another issue is that there was tampering with evidence on the part of the police, and I will remind you're listening audience that a third of the police officers involved in Miami case who collected evidence within weeks of the end of Noumea's trial were convicted and jailed for. Corruption and tampering with evidence to obtain convictions. And this was part of a larger investigation conducted by the department of Justice in nineteen seventy nine in which the department of Justice determined that the behavior of the police department in Philadelphia was homicide oil, and I'm quoting that report, and quote, what they said about the dealings of the police department in Philadelphia was that quote, it shocks the conscience. And so these are some of the issues that are going to be heard if the DA of Philadelphia the progressive Larry crasner does not challenge the decision of Leon Tucker. And what are the indications in terms of DA crasner is intentions Laurine Faulkner, the widow of Daniel Faulkner, the police officer that Mia is wrongfully accused of killing was on Fox News Justice weekend, essentially saying that Moumia killed her husband, and she would not stop until she secures Justice in this case, and she said to FOX and friends that her people would be hearing from the DA Philadelphia. Larry crasner in the next quote couple of days. So there is a tremendous amount of pressure placed on Larry crasner right now by the fraternal order of police, but trust there was not elected by the fraternal order police. He was elected. By the people of Philadelphia who campaigned hard for him, and he was a candidate outside of the Democratic Party apparatus who won this is unprecedented in the history of Philadelphia. There has been known DA in Philadelphia either in the democratic or Republican party who's been elected without the support of the fraternal order of police Larry Krassner one because the people Philadelphia mobilized for his campaign and voted on moss, and they voted it because he promised to correct the wrongs of his predecessors. And he essentially said that the prosecutions office should not be preoccupied with prosecution, but rather with Justice. So we know that Larry crasner is nationally. Renowned and celebrated for reforms at the local level. He has decreased realized marijuana. He has addressed the issue of police corruption and tampering with evidence. He is single handedly responsible for freeing the hip hop artist make mill and he even wrote a letter in support of Debbie Africa, one of the members of the move nine who was recently released. So the question we posed to Larry crasner is if he's going to heat, the call of Leon Tucker, who by the way is an law and order judge and what he says in the decision, and I'm reading from the decision right now is that in order for the criminal Justice fish. System to work. Quote, Justice must be completely just without even a hint of partiality lack of integrity for impropriety, unquote. So it'll be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks. In the meantime, if he appeals this issue will wind its way through the lower courts and then the federal courts, and it will delay for sure move me as path to freedom district to demonstrations the media campaign as another public agitation. Absolutely. We'd like to inform your listening audience that on Saturday January twelfth we're having a legal report back at the people's forum, titled special report new and favorable. Legal developments in the case of Moumia Jamal. And once again that is happening on Saturday. January twelve at three PM at the people's forum, which is

Larry crasner Philadelphia Justice department of Justice Leon Tucker Albert Sabo Moumia Jamal Larry Krassner Moore Carter moss officer Debbie Africa Terry Laurine Faulkner Noumea prosecutor Democratic Party marijuana Miami
