A 24 year old man was shot and killed by a Chicago police officer yesterday morning on the west side. His name is reginald clay junior and at a press conference, CPD deputy chief Rahman Muhammad told reporters that clay junior had been among a group of people approached by officers and that clay junior had tried to run away. Officers began a foot pursuit and one officer opened fire when clay junior allegedly turned toward them with a gun in his hand. It was rendered at the scene but he died soon after at an area hospital. The officer who opened fire was taken to a hospital for observation, but no officers were hurt during the incident. The Reverend Jesse Jackson's wife, Jacqueline Jackson. Is a home. She was in Northwestern Memorial Hospital with Covid. It got so bad she was in the intensive care unit, though she did not have to be put on a ventilator. She is home as of today of the Reverend Jesse Jackson, who was also hospitalized with her at Northwestern for Covid was released some time ago. But he is, um At the Shirley Ryan Ability Center. He is doing some rehab work, You know, even before Covid. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's, which can affect you know you're walking ability, your balance ability and I've I've talked to some people who recovered from Covid. And whether it's just what it takes out of them are being in bed so long. Some of them have had trouble walking. So right now he is doing some rehab. But he is out of the hospital. As of today, his wife is out of the hospital. The family said that while the reverend Jesse Jackson was vaccinated, which might be why he got out of the hospital so much faster, um, that their mom was not vaccinated. That's what the Chicago Tribune is reporting. Today. So, um Good news. Good news is that She is home. Bad news is that she was sick enough to be an intensive care. So we wish them both. Well, it looks like they are definitely on their way. Oh, to a complete recovery. You know, there's some people have said to me recently. That? Oh, you know, I don't have to get a vaccine because I had covid so I'm immune. If you have had covid you have some immunity. But what I have Been told by the experts is the kind of immunity that you get recovering from the illness. It's not as good Nor does it last as long. Nor is it as strong as the immunity you get from the vaccine, everyone I know who's had Covid has had their doctor tell them AM three months or four months or five months after your recovery. Get the vaccine, okay? We're going to be talking later today with Dr Lawrence Robbins and one of the things that we're going to talk about. Is this whole idea of vaccine boosters who gets what? When But please don't think that because you had covid. This isn't like this isn't like chicken pox or mumps. You know where you have it once and you really don't get it again. That's not the case.
