Man in custody after baseball bat attack hurts 2, including intern, at congressman's Virginia office
"A suspect is in custody for a baseball bat attack that left two staffers injured at a congressman's Virginia office. I Norman hall. A man with a metal baseball bat walked into the Northern Virginia office of U.S. representative Jerry Connelly, asked for him and then struck two of his workers with the bat, including an intern, her first day on the job. That's according to Connelly and police. Fairfax city police said officers took the man into custody without incident, and that the two staff members were being treated for injuries that were not life threatening. That congressman, who wasn't in the office at the time, said he knew of no motive for the attack, calling it unconscionable and devastating in a post on Twitter. "Of Virginia congresswoman reveals she's been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, representative Jennifer wexton, a third term U.S. congresswoman representing Northern Virginia, posted a video today, saying she's been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. "To another story, talking about bad stuff out there. This one is just weird. Really, really, really weird. We don't know a whole lot yet. I want to caution that. We've just got some reports coming in from Maryland, Northern Virginia and also West Virginia that I would argue a little bit troubling, a little bit baffling. The reports are about a mysterious dust that is appearing suddenly out of nowhere, coming from the sky. I don't know where this green administration is. Where's our climates are when we need them? I mean, consider what happened in Ohio. Hide and Biden taken on a new significance here as we look at some environmental disasters that may be happening under none other than his watch. Anyway, one state West Virginia says that it is testing some of this stuff that appeared on cars. You see, there are reports of a powder in the air that is almost like a kind of snow. I seen some pictures of it, it's like a film. You know, if you live in the northeast, which I do, you might have a lot of pollen during the spring. So that's kind of what it looks like. I mean, that would be my best analysis of it, except this is, this is not pollen, folks. This is something else. Nobody knows what it is. A couple of the states have gotten their environmental protection agencies, state ones to work again. I have no idea where the federal government is on any of this. I'd Biden. There's a disaster in Ohio, trained to Roman massive chemical leak and well, he's not nowhere. He's over in Ukraine. And now this, anyway, West Virginia, they're looking into it. "Thousands of folks in our area are still without power due to the extreme winter weather in Northern Virginia, Dominion Energy reports about 350 customers in loudoun county are still out in about 200 customers in fairfax. "You and I had the same job title and I thought and I know you thought as well because your friend and a patriot that we were there in those jobs to investigate crimes and go hunt for the bad guys Not to investigate people and then hunt for a crimes and make them bad guys That kind of sounds like what's going on with the old January 6th domestic terror white supremacist threat thing which is clearly obviously a problem but clearly being exaggerated for political purposes No I agree with you I've kind of come to this realization that you can look at an agency and see how well they do by how they treat their people And a friend of mine who is a retired army 20 plus years combat veteran a 100% disabled just a good man who lives in Northern Virginia and his name is Brett He worked for the FBI for the better part of 12 years after his army career And he attended the speech on January 6th He went to the stop the steel rally And there's been no credible allegations of anything that he's done that was wrong And the FBI is suspended him without pay just like I in fact they did it before they did it to me And it just kind of tells you that they're going to go after these people And if you follow one of my social media whether it's truth or Twitter he's had domestic terror investigators from the FBI's Washington field office show up at his house more than once He's caught him on ring cam and I put the pictures out And they've been kind of hammer calling him and his wife even though he has legal representation that the FBI is required to go through So if they're not even obeying their own goal internally when it comes to this sort of January 6th excitement that they have and that's why they put so many people on it And there will even go after people inside the FBI that there's no criminal allegations They found a man They're going to investigate the man not the crime

"News. Campaign 2022 on WTO, the election to replace a Northern Virginia lawmaker is coming together. It follows the resignation of longtime democratic delegate Mark keem last month. King represented the 35th district, which includes Tyson's Vienna Dunn loring and oakton in this coming Saturday, the fairfax county democratic committee there will welcome voters who will choose their nominee to replace king. Candidates include fairfax county school board member Karl frisch and nonprofit leader Holly siebold, the winner goes on to face a Republican candidate who has not been named yet. Steve knots, chair of the county's Republican committee, says they're early in the process. We just posted the application forms of it may be a few days to a week before we can get our list together. Niko and Ellie double TOP news. More Virginia state employees are working from home now than before the pandemic began. That's the finding of a new report released this week by the Virginia department of human resource management. It discovered that last month, more than 15,000 state workers were working from home, at least once a week. In 2019, about 5600 were teleworking. Back in May, governor Glenn youngkin updated the state's telework policy. So workers could get approval when appropriate. The survey also shows more state workers may leave jobs as some telework policies lower morale. Dozens of first responders from our area are now more than a thousand miles away, helping those affected by hurricane Ian. Maryland task force won the urban search and rescue team hosted by Montgomery county fire and rescue, has been in Florida since Saturday.
