"Confusion about whether it out the Northwoods leagues playing this year or not. The answer is yes, a double. The Northwoods League is probably the best known of the of the wooden bats summer leagues in the state of Wisconsin. There's more than what though. The North Woods League is not professional baseball. It's also not semipro people that confused about this. Many of the players, not all, but many of them are college players that are off during the summer. In other words, they play college baseball, but during the summer they play on these themes. And the league is scattered over on the upper Midwest. Many of the team's in Wisconsin, the Lakeshore, Chinooks based head back, one are one of the teams. The Kenosha Kingfisher another. The team's a bunch of them. Some of the teams decided. To play the role of the wussy and cancel the season. The Lake Shore Shitbox, which is owned by Jim Kitsch, Merrick, the guy from Capt. Cho. They took a dive and shut everything down. The kingfish from Kenosha. Their plague. Some of the other teams around the state lacrosse team is playing, but The way they're playing it. I don't know if this is stupid or creative. It's it's it's possible. It's both You know who the Kenosha Kingfish play tonight? No. They played the Kate Tom Bobbers. You know they play the next game. Can't tell Barbers you know they play all year. The Cato bobbers, the Kenosha Kingfish and the K Town bombers are both from Kenosha. They invented the new team, and they're simply going to have a season but playing the same team at the same field all year and much of the rest of the league they've created, paired or try teams or teams play a round robin in the same stadium, for example. They have two teams in Kalamazoo and won in Battle Creek and they'll keep standings and some teams apparently will play more than just the same team, but that what they're doing is they're trying to come up with a way to create games that fans can go to it an opportunity for the players to play. Help. They say it's better than nothing and baseball's awaits old goofball version of this by having everybody play on Lee, their divisional rivals the season but with no fans, But the Northwoods league is allowing fans in limited Attendance. In the meantime, the Milwaukee milkman, This is where people get mixed up there. Not in that league. The milkman are any different level of baseball. The milkman are actually professional players in that they could be paid, but they're not affiliated with minor league baseball. The milkman is the team that is playing at that brand new field in Franklin, which I driven by still invented. I can't believe it. It's out of the complex of the rocket. All of that, But there's one more thing I need to do. That he's the topic. Let me get to it. And when I concluded, I'm gonna give you the five o'clock our word in the sizzling summer cash contest. Last night in New York. Ah, large number of members of several faith groups. Schedule the unity march across the Brooklyn Bridge. They had a number of leaders of the Roman Catholic Church in New York. Many Protestant leaders and many well known Jewish leaders in New York. And the purpose of the march. Was the march with a message of peace, unity and racial equality. Some of you who have followed the story or know about the story. Know what happened? For those of you who doubt Here Come, I won't say black lives matter because that's an organization and nobody knows who's edited. Who isn't But here come the counter protesters. And they attacked him. And there were people hurt. They said they do not support this unity message because they believe it is pro police. Among the injured. The New York City Police Department chief of police mind ahead He was not to the ground. It hurt. Quoting from the story on CBS news dot com. As the march sided, a diverse group of faith leaders Christian, Muslim, Jewish and Law enforcement. Police union's black Veterans for Social Justice and citizens came together. I mean, literally all over the map. You like cops, you had an African American Liberal organization, Muslim's Jewish They're marching of this whole thing was unity and what happens they were attacked. And the people attacking and say, Look, you don't understand. We know what any message in here at all that has any connotation of pro police. These are people that don't want peace. They don't want equality. They don't want harmony. They don't want coexistence. They want anarchy. And they physically attack them. Who people ended up getting arrested Everybody else right away. Again. It's wrong for any of us to lump. Everyone together. I am not saying all protesters. Want anarchy, and I am not saying that none of them want any type of unity. What I am saying is that I believe that many of the leaders of these organizations and the people that are agitating and the people that are on payrolls and the people that are throwing out the most Violent rhetoric. They don't want unity. They want anarchy because they've said it. They want a Burnley. You know what down I think you could say the first part of the word can I like what are what we call our moms. Can I say, Burn that down? That's what they all say. But I don't even don't well, but that they've said that's what they what they want Total destruction. The last thing they want is us seeing this as an opportunity to actually unite and have a peaceful society in which may be a liberal. A conservative don't hate each other and maybe a Christian and a Muslim. A joke. Get along and march together and maybe a cop it a civil rights leader could actually work and say, OK? We'll try to make this better. They don't want that. Just understand that a lot of these people are not pushing for any of it. Some are but some aren't There are people who have an agenda and keeping all of this crap going because they simply what? Nothing but trouble. And that's the deal with the devil they made in Wauwatosa. They haven't bought themselves any piece by what they've done. They have merely guaranteed that they are going to be targeted permanently. Once they showed that they are so lily livered and so immoral that they would destroy the life of a young police officer just to satisfy a mob of people, many of whom don't even live in their community. Don't assume that a man's were well intended. And I think you saw in New York that they weren't Keep paralysis peeking out powerfully and eloquently on defending the police. That's still in front of us. We got lot Don't and you're not allowed to turn the radio off. Did Larry Sanders used to say in his show? Garry Shandling started the Larry Sanders Show You watch the Larry Sanders Show. Yeah, I know It's late. Wasn't the late eighties, so that like I go, there's no way It might have been off 20 years. That's the one ripped horn, wasn't it? You know, it's been a while, though. That was before Jeffrey Tambor became a superstar tonight it's 92. Holy cow..

"The show is winding down used to be we'd have this two month gap without having a show somebody thought it was a good idea few years ago to bring the show to the listening audience fifty two weeks a year do you know who that person was I had a feeling it was you you could have played to help you joking a little bit longer if you want to be yes it was me and and and for that Bob said I'll give you two more weeks every summer so okay how about one a month how about the first two so I still have my summer break okay bhabhi verger shot at this point that's absolutely fine so with that you get me this weekend you get me next week and then it's kind of a variety of folks will be hosting the show in the month of July when Bob returns if I have my August in July dates properly July thirty first August first I think is when Bob is coming back maybe it's the weekend after that whatever the case may be that'll be the start of your number twenty seven of network Indiana's Indiana sports talk I applaud the creativity of John Herrick filling a five minute sports cast is not easy in the summer and that's when there's Major League Baseball games going on we have still have that or modeling baseball or summer collegiate prospect league games then I can rattle off some of the teams that you know are not playing kind of the latest one to admit Hey a season's not going to happen was the good folks the Kokomo jackrabbits earlier this week that said now there's not gonna be a season they play in the Northwoods league which is primarily a a a a a league that's based in Michigan Wisconsin Minnesota there the southernmost team that is in that league so John I appreciate your creativity but one thing that caught my attention was the fact that he talked about the colts that may be all NFL under twenty five list and John feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on this I know you said quit Nelson yeah obviously he is one of the best offense of linemen in football period guard is not a sexy position one that is talked about very often but I think most feel he is the best at his position in football and Brian Baldinger who was on with J. M. V. as you reference our flagship station ninety three five and one oh seven five the famed Indianapolis on Thursday no one has the passion to talk about Quenton Nelson the way that ball these breakdowns does on Twitter each and every weekend the long time NFL analyst the former Indianapolis Colts Lyman is Brian Baldinger he is the unofficial hype man for for Quenton Nelson but I believe you said Braden Smith and Bobby Okereke you were the other terrorism as the team is that correct that yes that is correct Braden Smith and and and Bobby Okereke E. all right well Brady Smith was drafted to be the guard opposite of quit Nelson quitting the left guard Braden the right guard but because of the injuries ended up playing the right tackle position as of week five of the twenty eighteen season I get so when the patriots did well the colts offense of line kind of gelled around that group and now brings the right tackle for this team going forward I had some growing pains last year I mean but at the same time this colts offense of line Hey they were tremendously durable last year not something I'm sure can be replicated in twenty twenty but it is one of the strongest units in the National Football League it's the reason why those that think Philip rivers is going to be successful with this team even Philip will tell you and I had a chance to be on a zoom call with bill up last week simply saying Hey listen look at the group in front of me look at how much you're gonna be handing the football off but I'm not gonna be asked to do the things I've been I've had to do in the past because of these five stars I got in front of me along the offensive line in two of them that John just mentioned that sports update under the altar the best players in in the NFL lead to twenty five two of your five starting offense of linemen the other one that caught my attention from that group was Bobby Okereke and the reason that catches my attention is that Bobby is not even a full time starter at this point now it's a good problem to have green apples colds they play what is a four three but they really don't take that many snaps in what is their base for three defense they really play a four to five most of the time because almost the nickel is their base defense and with a guy like Kenny Moore who is such a talented slot cornerback and is so good at getting pressure on the quarterback looking for that position the colts feel their best defense is to play five defensive backs even at times last year but they were playing three safeties along with two corners well one of our live by Bobby Okereke deep drilling in all snaps at your weak side linebacker Oak Ridge TN and Walker are splitting time.

"Past week from your perspective you are everywhere there was a mind boggling yeah I mean all you do so many so many things happen that you know you can't remember when what happened but yes she has on our side there she with the the YMCA was a lot of things are gonna looted and damaged around they're no strangers think is why am she was left alone regionals over there and he said that that's kind of the way it is the the YMCA's scenes you know sacred ground and in the inner city and you know that's a place for so many people going up and next week this are going to camp Verde canceling else those are the kind of things that can't learn this week you know that there are things out there that that Cameco do the inner city and that there is a just a ton of healing and anger under the surface and I didn't realize how intense it was at five yeah I thought I can understand it maybe encourages people that I knew I thought I knew well and I didn't know as well as I thought I'd get your speakers when this came up here to hear their even worse about things was much more passionate than I ever thank you and and sure a lot of healing to be done and I hate to say this I'm just not that optimistic with people's talk about well this needs to change and we need to sit down and Hey I did I don't think committees government turning that bike that can solve any of this stuff when they see it up close because I just think it's so much about each individual forging relationships with the people of other races the only way that this moves in any direction I I have no idea how you provide a catalyst for that because people have to want learn on all sides have to wanna get together break bread and hang out and Ryan here's the best analogy that stuff that you know some people Sir breaking bread together forget it so they start Julie didn't know each other and make a point it's never been our stand each other so from that that point I hate to say it but I came away incredibly pessimistic that major improvement can be made in a capsule but we'll see on things less important let me move on to just a couple of moving the stories in the world of sports Major League Baseball players don't look like they're ready to give up their salaries here to make any concessions well I'm reading today yeah it's you know it is the best year to it if you can play and you know if you if you get the green light so to speak it is safe and will he start making about money that's that's not the best PR campaign right now this this country was everything everybody's been through all the money that everybody almost who do you have a few exceptions and how much money everybody has lost in one way shape or form jobs for Loews god CI it's not good optics no no I mean and and even yeah I don't care what they're taking what percentage of your salary is is still going to be so much more than most people make you have you have great fifty games and that's not a good time to do it the NHL the NBA singers you'll get your shot that looks palatable but if you but if made baseball holds it up only because the players don't think they get enough money that that that's really a bad move because we all know this is you know the intention of everybody is this is just a one year aberration and everybody hopes that next year so there's no guarantee that next year will back to more normal C. and then the players can jump right back in but we've all got to figure out a way to help out this year and and then ask them to do a lot of his first season all those things already so I guess yeah that yeah that that's our your little bit on their on their leadership or whatever G. can't get something done because to hold up this long because of money and and and the owners are we're trying to work with them like you said really bad optics because Major League Soccer too long in the NBA and NHL look like they're going to get things done here's one fact I saw baseball I thought I saw last night a baseball tournament down in they'd want to college kids playing in an empty stadium was in Texas or somewhere I thought I saw that right yeah yeah it wasn't feasible delimiter and amateur baseball you can play I wanted to go this is the minister of teams are going there and playing hi a legion season is canceled for everybody but you can certainly put things together you know if your state's open and to play baseball then you know anybody can traveler and play baseball so that they'll figure out some ways here for the amateur kids tech to get games and what not because there's still plenty of summer left and seeing his get you know I I think too I think down in the Northwoods league I think you and Bismarck is it the you know they're they're they're playing like three teams or something like that levers available to which is planned the wheel consumption out there and I'm looking at council have or be allowed yeah but yeah so they're saying it's not that hard to put that together name kids will travel to do that Hey all you people travel to pick up old Dutch foods too they bring in the sports going on W. C. C. O. and so yesterday my neighbor came out back to the grocery store and what did she have for me came to the front door and handed over to my wife's a ma old Dutch spicy dill pickle ripple potato chips for a national some the Dutch crunch prime rib potato chips so that was a nice little taste sensation that came whether your front door yesterday we I had the other device yesterday just said a hot sandwich cooked up the regular old Dutch chips what's why just want the regular order for the prime rib but my wife says well this is the primary action what was a compliment trips we have a brand new brand new in her defense they're brand new yep for waivers that they added to the arsenal and a all kind of picnic flavors which is cool this is not sad like today's race daily scheme that's one good thing with this weather lately and you can sit outside and you make the beings not dogs and everything else and yeah there's nothing like it all that you know I we we've had enough pain and sorrow and to treat yourself and hit out of the deck don't regret it for a minute ninja yourself this weekend it's a great local company just got old Dutch foods dot com you can see some of our players and athletes of the week on that list as well and enjoy these new flavors all Dutch quality lives here this.

"And you know I'm starting my senior high school after that was alright plate amateur ball marble for the marble palace tremendous memories and history about that and that great stuff when we have played the game at that level as well yeah pretty nice ballpark in it yeah I want to see that and we did a lot of work on it you know adult offensive creativity scrubber home quite a bit about the mountain dew claims there does you know you you have to use force source won't have the money people taking care of it for you so you spend a lot of times the players themselves taken care of the ball park and took a great deal of pride that we want to have a a good does good ballpark and are good for the client service plans so we all got involved and went around some people are going to help us with some of the supplies we needed them and then put those put put put the labor to part to it and so fond memories of of of doing that yeah my friend a fifth grade in the stall family moved from Gillard Minnesota marble Minnesota and and I went up there stayed with them because the the those boys baby said us we had no the family well and Jim Stolz of baseball legend of course and I was the marble mallard bat boy for a week and a half or so up there and it just really very easy said that really fond memories and I think that they have a guy named Bobby balls that was a great player from the gophers the plan the team yeah Bobby was for the high school three year old and then he went to the university spent a great career hold up was captain seventy six and had a great career at the university of Minnesota and I played my first year model now is Jim still was on the team was he yeah I have your son Jim so I might have been a Europe that I like very we we should look at the pictures we could find that would be funny the budget was a legend one evening he was he was past his prime them but but the stories in which is unbelievable yeah he was he was a legend of amateur baseball no question about it and he preached in the cot splayed wherever and yeah he was so he's passing the ball game played as long as it turned out that you can actually move back downtown changes in my skin yeah and then you guys out in San Francisco yeah and he finished his amateur went back down there because he's working in the mines and then they had to shut down he lost his job so I thought if I remember correctly I thought it was back in that direction yeah I mean it is you three sons are all great athletes tutorial his daughter for that matter and they were all there yeah Mike Mike is Mike plays five of us as well sure yeah Mike Cantrell Denver Broncos he's a great player when you're on a state football championship so yeah there's a lot of great memories John what do you do now in the summertime when you can't watch players that you what what what's the most important effective way to use your time what we are focused on our guys the guys that we have coming back and once regions yet where they can start doing some activities and and and at the ballpark you get back outside we're gonna have to help them with us in programming and get their bodies back in shape and and and start getting arms back the sheriff's office hopefully we come back in the fall we cancel practice again so they're learning and and **** and **** why is in a position where we can get back after because we're missing all spring and kids all played in summer baseball in the summertime we're going to miss that whole sequence of plan this summer so the player development curse that pushed back almost appointed we lost a whole year of of player development so we'll be starting up again and taking people back up and and trying to get their skill levels back to the level that they were at the Florence and some young players for grain get much this year that the freshmen and first year players and so yeah we've got our work cut out for second of this year to try to make up for some lost time you're talking about you know version forty games from you in and another sixty games if they play like in the Northwoods league think of how many at bats that is how many pictures that is yeah no question like it's it's it's considerable bond park spots players of all time no question about it it's going to have an impact Hey John appreciated very much stay in touch with us all right Mike thanks for the call you bet John Anderson go for baseball coach always fun talking about a wide range of different stuff from amateur baseball on up and that's the next thing I haven't heard anything about amateur baseball what we need to preserve that grand old game in the summer I'll tell you why when we come back sports.

"Eligibility well we know about the NBA players plight you know try various facilities are opening at the end of this week some obviously based on government restrictions per state are not open yet so there's a competitive disadvantage there it's not really equal how do you stay loose had a stay ready if you're a baseball player totally different challenges considering that they're basically done with spring training that you have to start all over so let's get some perspective from a young man who who burst on the scene for the great organizations in support that's the cardinals added second baseman pulled the young who was with us here on the show Paul tickets very welcome to the show how you doing today ma'am I'm doing great thanks guys for having me on of course we come out we live what we try to do going yard on your first at bat who are you what was what was that like the crazy day well my flight got canceled out a mentor so I end up getting to Denver at during the fifth inning out spoke to start that game and so I get the dog out in the eighth eighth inning or so hours them banning Intel McKinney I was ready and I got a fence in the top of the ninth we're down is one of his hit a home run it was it was unbelievable that second base by the time on the ball landed I was running hard you better not show boat you better know bat flips put the head down get around the bases you know how to put the bat but the helmet back in the bat rack an idea but we did did you ever did they ignore you because sometimes when you go deep for the first time everybody acts like you didn't do what they I don't member they celebrate or did they give you the added three minute they celebrated I remember always seeing Michael Lago look at look around put his hands up and they're like you gotta be kidding me yeah right this reaction I would love the dog out that's the best you made the all star team an OPS of almost eight I almost nine hundred actually for second baseman for anybody's phenomenal let let me ask you this the your path before we get to how you prepare for the season you know your path is really unique and a lot of baseball pads like Mike piazza was almost was drafted as a favor and then he goes down as maybe the you know probably the greatest city cat degraded city catcher of all time baseball is full of unique stories you war if I had this right the thirty eighth round draft choice as a junior at Illinois state which is a good program but you know it's it's not the S. E. C. and then the next year and you turn it down you come back you put up numbers you go from the thirty eighth round to the fourth round how do you make that jump it up at a relatively relatively nondescript baseball school well it was a just a chance to play I got redshirted so technically I got drafted by the pirates and fourteen of the redshirt sophomore got her third year in school okay and so I was playing in the Northwoods league that summer and end up hitting twenty home runs and just knew that it wasn't the right move especially of the cashier I want to play the infield and hit which I thought was always my best school so going back to school to get my degree and play another year and improve my socket was really an easy choice for me and you know thankful for that red shirt honestly so I kind of got my degree yes now I mean that makes sense to me you made the right choice clearly you know right now we're I mean it's on president we're all going through right now but it's particularly hard we talk about this with all sports basketball had to stop football is lucky because it hasn't started yet never really had to deal with it but you guys were were turning you guys were in the process of give geared up for a season and then you come full stop so two questions one how are you keeping yourself busy and too what's that restart going to look like for you all yeah I kind of hung around Florida until they close our complex so I I figured I could be more productive so I end up driving up here in Saint Louis and this Lucy Lucy ever see coach was nice enough to actually work us out cold long and I have been saying on the field three times a week just staying active almost three minutes like a January scenario again trying to you know listen and kind of do some running in a little bit of everything just to try to stay active but I figure when we start this thing over it's going to be just like spring training and I I would like to be back down in Florida and basically just hit repeat I think that would be the best way to get us all mentally ready I am physically as well I think you know the ideas of having spring training in St Louis intertwining this won't feel the same and I feel like we need kind of a kick start playing games against other teams and get ready and all all sorts of the routine based thing that we do to get ready yeah Paul you worried about about this virus because I mean you say you're working out in Saint Louis and Saint Louis and Kolten Wong is there I feel like the rest of the world is stay in your house and talk to anybody to get close to anyone you know culture breath type of thing are you worried about this I mean because you're kind of exposing yourself in some ways yeah you know I I try to look at things through a health perspective as far as what I can do proactively and for me that get outside again I'm from China I still feel like I'm staying away from you know any social gathering obviously no restaurants or anything like that no yeah I feel like I'm being safe enough you know and then obviously nutrition I think in the sleeper argues for these these types of things and have to be proactive with your health I don't see any problems that you might you might miss store bought sort of pulled the young I was with the cardinals and is off to a nice start menu will force first at bat went deep and he showed some nice power a couple of years now made the all star team last year your your is funny you are very much a a modern player in the sense that you have pop but the averages is is not I did listen of course you don't want it to thirty three or two forty four and you know I I believe it you're more to fifty for the career but you want to get that number up when you enter the miners like I've always wondered about this because when I was growing up and watching baseball the eighties like when you struck out even in the nineties to a degree you put your head down like he just felt embarrassed you you just kind of sling to the back of the dug out he just he just felt embarrassed really the early levels of the minors is is there no and I'm not discipline is there no well and then not punishment but do they not really verbally and physically or lease with the town is owning yeah yes yes yeah yeah do they not dissuade striking out it was I just accepted at this point yeah definitely seen the game of all then you know really it depends on what kind of production you have I think that's that's important especially with guys in scoring position which is one of the areas I need to get better and then it's more of a mental approach for me wanting to get the job done and then I that is because you're obviously doesn't want to give me anything good that he knows I can hit for power announcer Jason and stuff out of the ground you know that's the type of things that that is more experience based as opposed to skill base you know guys are nasty nowadays especially with all different kind of stuff with a hundred I'm not you know trying to justify striking out but now I'm assuming as I get more experience in this league I'll strike out a lower rate walk at a higher rate and just be able to handle a bat better mark because I can handle my mind yet analysis Gotti yeah no I think a big part of it is is is is how you get yourself mentally prepared for any of those things in speaking of mentally prepared this is teacher appreciation week Monday was math yesterday was English today phys ed and you're doing it a top of the class a partnership tells a little bit about this I know it's encouraging kids in its opposition are you very unique time for kids how old learning from home tell us about this program a partnership a little bit yeah Topps baseball cards they've been great with me ever since I got into professional baseball in two thousand fifteen and they wanted to do with my science biochemistry background wants to do an educational set of cards and my agents that is a PhD chemist Annie has a lot of cool ideas and I'll know my age it really made it happen and so we got some baseball some educational cards with me in a lab coat and doctor rock his well on my agent Burton rocks but it's we're it's great we we posted and we're working with MLB dot com right now and they're doing kids tweeted in video questions about science related in baseball and and and we're gonna be given away those cards and the kids that I answer for but just getting going and so really the bottom line is made is trying to promote these types of educational interests science technology reading all these types of things just because it's so hard to be a professional athlete like you know C. D. L. and so you know you can always that's not always going to happen for kids but to hear me say Hey it's okay to you know study science or be an engineer or something I might give the kids some car that competence to really pursue it Paul I absolutely love that I'm on the phone with another geek like I was in a hurry and I were just talking about that I I do seriously we're smiling ear to ear I have a I have an astronaut shirt on right now I want to tell you that night when I went to the university of Virginia and I ended up starting database design you should write a book I mean seriously write a book about things like this the kids book because kids need male role models are boys the male role models to do things in sports but also outside of the game let me ask you this just misses an aside from what we've been talking about that is baseball if you weren't a baseball player what would you have wanted to do well I was kind of lined up for the medicine track you know now I've kind of shifted my thoughts like Berg healing myself you know I had a great routine last year the first four hundred sixty two games at the play because I I called in seventeen and eighteen I got her with a broken hand yeah inside and get the whole season so that longevity piece Saddam starting like sound therapy magnets you know essential oils got the diet supplement all that type of stuff all the recovery equipment and knows really pro active within cement mainly I'm selling myself now it's kind of through you know being my own doctor almost wow that's so let me ask you this ball to ripple the younger the cardinals here the the extra knowledge and the the added passion for medicine meet you probably have you know more director unique views than some of your teammates pertaining to the corona virus are you more alarmed or less alarmed about getting back in a group setting based on what you know and what you've read and what you've you know educate yourself on I would say a less alarmed obviously you wanna take care of yourself and so I think everyone has their own kind of alarms that go off when you think you're about to get sick or you.

"Our visit with LSU baseball head coach Paul Mainieri coach I think back to the first time you and I talked it was the the opening night of LSU sixty special edition as we've joked about should have been the first pulmonary show from TJ ribs and and one of the things you talked about is in regards to the players tried to to you know stay in shape and and keep their baseball accu men both mentally and physically on point you said Hey we hope that down the road there's going to be some of the summer leagues maybe things will ease up a little bit obviously the Cape Cod league announcing that they would cancel the summer we live in a world now coach where maybe as you pointed out things will have to change and what we did normally will will will come out in a different way you know I I know if you had your choice you probably would would would talk to the NC double a about how to get your student athletes ready to play should we get started next February but with the canceling of summer leagues is there any thought or any talk at all about but how you would prepare should things get normal come the fall other than what we know is normal fall ball leading into the season well first of all Chris there's been a couple of some religion including Cape Cod which I'm not so sure that the Cape Cod league would not cancel because they depend on Major League Baseball support to burnout lake at St they give them a certain amount of money major league baseball does and with major league baseball's such a financial crunch because they have no revenue coming and I think they probably pulled their support and that forced the Cape Cod league to cancel their late that's just speculation on my part the valley league over in Virginia cancel because they depend so much on sponsorships as well and they felt that all with all the businesses that were struggling in close down that they wouldn't have that financial support but so far those are the only league should have canceled this summer Eddie Smith does all of our signing of players if you know of course consulting with me in Allentown and no one came but he does all this assigning it so he's been kind of bouncing guys from league to league he's a little bit worried that maybe the Northwoods league may close down so a newly cropped up down in South Florida and we were able to transfer some of our players down there so we're still holding out hope that there will be summer baseball for these kids and so that they wouldn't have not yeah that they would have been away from the game too much but if if all the summer leagues get canceled and we're back the fall at LSU first thing is we're going to hope that life will be normal at LSU the classes will be held that football season will be going on and then if that happens then I would assume we have a normal fall practice and will just make the best of it it'll be an intense fall practice will probably scrimmage a little bit more than we normally would have to keep the guys into the game instincts so to speak but we'll make whatever adjustments we have to Chris at the time but I don't want to plan to start it because we still don't know what's going to happen with the summer lakes and whether the kids will get to play this summer it's interesting in that you bring up the Cape Cod league and the Virginia league and and I wanted to get your thoughts on Major League Baseball because I know as a coach of an elite college baseball program that that so much as you mentioned earlier affect your program based on what Major League Baseball does not only the draft but also the season there's been some talk and we've seen it on Twitter we've seen it on the news about Major League Baseball desperately wanted to get some type of season and some type of play in for twenty twenty they talk about having it at one or two locations they've talked about it without fans at home being used only and then bring in the players and quarantining those players for a an extended period of time along with the umpires and staff and everybody else you know what have you been hearing and and and and what do you what what's your take on Major League Baseball trying it's best to have some semblance of a season here in twenty twenty yeah well I I think that the latest proposal that I think will probably be the one that they'll do at some point is they're gonna use three different locations one in Arizona one in Texas probably the Dallas area and the one here and one in Florida and that they would give the device a thirty teams up into three ten team late so the American Legion nationally could be out the window you'd have teams from both traditional leagues probably in the ten team grouping and then play as many games as they could and because those areas are more or less warm weather areas they can play this season deeper maybe and then all the way through November so to get in as many games they can't and then have kind of been expanded playoffs leading to a World Series I don't know the particulars of how they would do all of that but I think they would their plan is then their hope is to start around at the first of July without fans in the stands and start the games and then when we try to get an all clear that they would be able to start selling tickets maybe sometime in the fall were chance to be able to come to the games and hopefully you know the post season certainly fans would be able to come to the games now I'm not involved in those meetings I'm just telling you what I've heard from people that I know that are in the know and I think it would be wonderful if they could get the season going because then you'd have baseball on television Major League Baseball would be able to recoup the money that they would be contractually obligated to have from the from the network stations a deal to pay the players and maybe a lot of the people in Major League Baseball and now is their job so we're all hoping that they can you know do that and I think sports fans would be happy just to have live televised games on television as opposed to having to watch games from twenty years ago and so forth so what we'll see what happens I hope that major league baseball can get their thing going and we can have the draft I do think Chris that the draft will be held on the date that was originally planned to be held June tenth which I'm glad David there's been talk about it being moved to late July and this helps everybody that it'll go off like your chances put our rosters together for college baseball coach a great would it be for America's pastime to kind of lead the way and and hopefully lead us all out of the start time it would be wonderful you know and and I. D. so happy to see Major League Baseball do it but my bigger the hope to be honest with you the college football history Kalau that's good at sex so many so many universities and athletic programs on their campuses and you know it's it's a scary thought to think what might happen is college football is not played in the revenue was not produced to be able to define the passports programs of various sports programs non revenue teams that on each and every campus and the latest if we don't have college football we may not recognize what college athletics looks like going forward because everybody is so dependent on that revenue so if Major League Baseball is back is college football's back if the NFL is back even even if some other things may still be restricted you know restaurant and you know what the other thing they were allowed to do at least we'll have some degree of normalcy back in our lives absolutely coach couple more minutes here with coach Paul Mainieri on LSU sixty special edition I know that one of the highlights of your storied career was coaching team USA back in the summer of twenty eighteen obviously we were all excited that baseball was going to be an Olympic sport coming up this summer should have been this summer in Tokyo before the pandemic and you know I can remember as a young kid it was baseball that drew me in to the summer Olympics hopefully they'll be no change in decision there and whenever we have the summer Olympics baseball will be a part of it well I think it will be there I think they're going to delay the Olympics one year to twenty twenty one but baseball the big sport in in the country of Japan okay when I coached in the when I was the head coach at the collegiate USA collegiate national team in the summer of two thousand eighteen we played the Japanese collegiate national team five games and and that might have been the best team I've ever coached against personally they were really awesome so I know baseball is huge in in the country of Japan they have a tremendous Major League system minor league system colleges and so there is there we're all excited about seeing the Olympic baseball back in our baseball back in the Olympics and especially in the country of Japan where they let the game so much so hopefully that's not gonna change anything and just like mondo Duplantis and all the track athletes and swimmers and everybody else are going to have to delay their involvement three year so with the baseball players hopefully we'll get through this I know we're gonna get through this and we look forward to twenty twenty one fighting tiger baseball or temporary to make Chris it's good to talk to you and I wish all that unless you stand up there to stay safe and and be patient we'll be back to normalcy here pretty soon hopefully coach Paul Mainieri nice enough to.

"Though we're gonna look back in two thousand seventeen and two thousand eighteen those world championships both of those seasons in which Los Angeles Dodgers were more teams that actually discipline the commissioner for sign stealing using technology I look for the sport but right now it's just one of many more people and understandably are concerned with the question are we gonna get the game this year or not just like basketball still no news on a return to play for Major League Baseball and finally golf Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson announced that they're going to go head to head in a charity match in the month of may the charity event to also involve NFL legend Peyton manning and Tom Brady ESPN's Michael Collins says this match is going to be a little bit different than the last time we saw tiger and Phil go one on one back in two thousand and eighteen here's how it is going to be different though this time according to TMZ it's going to be on free TV so there won't be any of those technical difficulties that we had the last time we try to do this on paper view the other thing is going to be different Tom Brady and Peyton manning so at least we know we know at least pay man is going to start talking a little bit of smack during this match two one two with four guys that are out there so he gets tired you know tiger got real quiet this time it'll be exciting the charity aspect is great we'll take live sports as soon as we can get him gene on top of that it sounds like we might get a little trash talk of these guys are miked up so that should yield some fun entertainment the month of may as well Pete manning funny guy Tom Brady don't know not known for his ribald hijinks Izzy I don't know we're gonna find out you know it's not often that we see him miked up during the game so I don't know if he's a good sharper or not but I guess we're gonna find out on the golf course sometime probably late may I think they're looking a Memorial Day so we'll see we talk about minor league ball before with those teams are doing to cope with the pandemic I forgot the Northwoods league they are not professional players of courses are college players who come to play for teams like the lake shore chin oaks and the conditioning fish they're considering they see multiple scenarios since the plan to be twenty six the opener cannot happen league team rosters of course filled with college players of their options are limited they can't go later into the summer or even early fall because their players have to go back to school in late August returns ever so there they they have to keep all options on the table but that season's ready short and it's going to probably be a little bit shorter at the very least it happens at all seven forty nine at.

"To the Minnesota Twins and we journey down to the Lone Star state of Texas where the owner meetings are in full swing a lot going on there a lot of news coming out of Texas and twins president Dave St Peter is kind enough to step out of some of those meetings and chat with us on the hot stove show here tonight in Dave I will I will open with this I headed back to my hometown for a for a family event this last week as I went through the airport I have Mike my twins giveaway father's day shops on the TSA and the screener looked at him and said Hey buddy ninety nine days till spring training starts so well I guess you could say we are fully fully pointed forward towards two thousand twenty a Chris it's great to be with no doubt and I think there's I know there's a lot of excitement across to its territory about you know what transpired over the course of twenty nineteen and the the hundred one way is three hundred seven home runs I think that I think that that fanbases energized and really excited about what twenty twenty can be and and and addict firsthand that this offseason presents an opportunity for us to get better so I'll know that work will continue I think through the winter meetings and probably beyond I'm a Dallas now for owners meetings of there's a lot of discussion that's a big picture discussions about the the game itself and a lot of issues that are that are being bandied around or about not just told twenty twenty season but many years beyond that rule changes or potential other aspects of the games that are really important to the health of baseball well let's talk about that we we kind of had on some of the the twins road map if you will with Derek last weekend and we documented some of the folks who maybe even you know jumped up on the forty man roster and whatnot but you're in a unique position to talk about issues that I think you hit the the phrase perfectly for the future health of the game of baseball and some of those involved rule changes some of those currently I unfortunately involve investigations and how will will be applied what let's start there that's a hot button issue for fans the sign stealing issue and rob Manfred said he'll be more than willing to to bring the hammer down it's an odd structural element though right because the commissioner works for the owners and historically commissioners who have punished owners even very much within the rules sometimes that can come back and bite you in terms of how long you're the commission and I don't think that's an issue with where rob is currently with this group of owners but while fans are talking about what's going on with that situation our owners talking about what's going on as as vehemently or with as much interest as as perhaps the fans are more hours old that said everybody associated with the game is I think just watching that situation and and certainly concerned I think the commissioner said it said it best this week and there's an ongoing investigation I think the intent is to get that investigation right to uncover all the the facts I expect is going to play out here for a while I don't expect to a swift conclusion there but it's it's I think it's important we're talking about the integrity of our game obviously I think yeah every year everybody wants us to get that right and I know across the commissioner will take the action that he thinks is necessary to protect the best interests of baseball so that'll play out I think that you know I'm comfortable that MLB of the investigative unit here will do the right thing over time relative to the to the law of allegations is the sense that that people are nervous about how this will turn out or the more eager to learn to do the laundry and have it all come out clean yeah I mean I can obviously out what I don't like about it is that I'd rather be talking about hot stove in free agency and trade rumors and things of that nature unfortunately we're talking about looking back you still looking for work so I think there's a trunk of people that would prefer to to move on from this but I think we have to get a right again the integrity of our game is at stake I think the commissioner has focused on that and you know over time which is going to be a hot button topic you're obviously until it's resolved and moving forward Dave some new rules perhaps in some new structural elements to how the game is going to look moving forward we'll get to the minor league issue in a bit but in terms of the roster type stuff the idea you're gonna go to twenty six men instead of twenty five September is gonna be twenty eight instead of forty you're gonna be labeling your players your picture or your position player and then there is the one that maybe has drawn the most on feel discussion from uniformed personnel which is the minimum three batter or the end of the half the need for a pitcher all those various ideas a are they all going to be on the books for twenty twenty at this point in your opinion a and B. which of those maybe is the one that is the object of the most discussion amongst ownership right now well I think they're gonna overall obviously have been discussed for quite some time Chris so I think the roster stuff this is pretty non controversial at this point of the twenty six man and then obviously the September role which I think is really significant progress I would you say that we play our most important games of the season on her really different rules in terms of the number of players are available I I don't think that was never really a good outcome for baseball so that we all feel good about that I know that the commissioners a addressing the to the picture the phone to three hitters at minimum and all that still getting some dialogue I expect you to be part of the landscape of twenty twenty but tell the commissioner comes out announces that is suppose you're still some question but I also know that there's a lot of dialogue about other potential changes to our game in terms of the way the game is played there's been a lot of discussion over the course of time with things that that tested out in the independently and do your kids think there's discussion about expanding some of those tests in the traditional minor league baseball next summer as we continue to find really search for some progressive ways to maybe speak games up but all through maybe create some some new dynamics inside of games around different rule changes that could be introduced walled fans in individuals may not agree with all our song or maybe any of the changes if you don't change were still pitching awful flat you know flat rectangle in leaving gloves in the field and there's no well minority players in the game you have to change or like a town did you dry up and become a ghost town yeah you only just look at other sports I mean think about the National Football League hall of the rule changes that have taken place over time and how the game is the all time to do obviously a high wire act around passing the football it wasn't always that way the biggest reason that is that when our group baseball for whatever reason probably because of all of the history that we enjoy with our support I think is is held to a little higher standard around the rule changes and what I can respect and appreciate that on some level I did I think it also can hold us back in I would just ask me and to keep an open mind that the change welcome to baseball they're gonna come in a measured pace but it also will come with the hope that we're going to continue to evolve our game richer our game is of interest to all fans of all ages and hopefully maybe find a way to crack the real thing as well which is going to be important for us well on that note we we want to address the idea the proposal about the structural change of of how players are developed and this has to deal with minor league baseball and the proposal to eliminate some of the the venues in some of the league's and some of the franchiser's and maybe make it almost more of an academy type situation to change how the the players are drafted or the number of players that are drafted and this to me becomes a real interesting talking point because there are a couple of things they can collide here where both parties who are of the same party can have a very valid arguments one is if you feel you can develop players better and more efficiently by not doing it the way it's always been done more power to you but on the other side folks like yourself Dave you're not just in charge of getting players who can win your charter developing fans in you're you're in charge of developing a product and selling a product and if you remove access to a product in forty two markets the now your job baby is different or more challenging now he either of those conversations and how far along are those conversations yeah you know the lot of the the back and forth the media around the the proposed yet maybe re imagining the structure of minor league baseball and I would say it's it's it's still probably earlier and that negotiations I'll be the first three innings on but I think the vision here has been a little bit misstated you know I don't think anybody for major league baseball's looking to eliminate forty two franchises I think division here is always been re imagine what those forty two franchises would be meaning maybe they become part of an independently similar to what the Saint Paul saints plan maybe they become part of a college wood bat league similar to what we see with the Northwoods league nothing major league baseball stand prepared to to play an active role all insuring the success of what my guess they're calling the dreamily your full I think the idea is to make you really hated system more efficient and and most of that is rooted in a player wellness travel uncle most facilities weight room facilities the Christian facilities from playing field the the conditions and they can argue the reform that has been proposed a minor league baseball is fully rooted in the holistic development of players and therefore you know I think it's a bit important discussion and one that I think requires maybe people to make sure that they do a little digging and get their facts correct before they make certain assumptions are a what the purple really yes because of the intent is not to eliminate baseball I in any of the markets the the attempted to maybe re imagine what how it would look at markets and reimagine the wall the Major League Baseball would play in terms of all of those markets because it wasn't all that long ago that the national association actually went out of their way to distinguish teams that were affiliated in teams that warrant and it was a very divisive so it's nice to see that that that chasm I think is closed a little bit to where we all realize that more baseball probably good for for everybody down the road and I think that's a positive development but you got the attention of Congress which can be good or can be bad any we've got some congressmen who drive to drop the dreaded anti trust into their into their sternly worded letter so it feels like that there's still a long way to go on this one before before people even like you said I understand exactly what it is is that fair no doubt I think that is fair Kristin you know from a twinge perspective you know we obviously very much appreciate our existing affiliates structure it's it's been sampled our success and now we're going to continue to work towards that for twenty twenty and potentially beyond but we also understand and respect the the old MLB's desire to try to craft the maybe a structure that's going to serve the.

"From San Francisco three out of four cardinals they will send could Hudson the mound against your Pomerantz perjury be back with you Mike Anderson are came like studios thanks to Dan McLaughlin for joining us last hour scoops with Danny mac that com is the website scoops with Danny mac dot com you can hear his entire conversation of cardinals all star shortstop pulled the young we bring you a taste of it right now when I say Paul the young major league all star it's got a pretty good ring to it and it does spend something I want to be my whole life and you know every step of the way to the baseball ladder I felt like a ball always want to be an all star one to be the best player on the team so for me to you know get this honor my extremely grateful and humble and thankful for how did you find out show come in the office Sunday game on San Diego and told me give me a packet of information I'd center and then he told the whole team out for that did you have any idea that this might be coming I anticipate a didn't make any plans we also rake have figured I was going to be there or was hoping for it anyway so I never wanted to you know count myself out did did when when she'll details you did he make an announcement a in front of the team to do something at a show that after you told me personally then we had a group meeting before the game and he is an asset to the group was really nice that's unbelievable and it moves it like in the clubhouse when you when you got that I'm sure everybody clap and hugs and high fives yeah the whole whole nine yeah ever was pretty excited and then once we got to Seattle actually he says something on the bus on our way to the hotel is congratulated me and tell me to enjoy it and to bring some bring some apparel back for the boys who is the first call for you when you when you found out and and things settle down a little bit who did who did you call to tell that you're an all star I think everyone found out you know well before I talk soon but you know with the broadcast and everything on the internet but I called my parents and my grandparents you know that night you're very close your grandparents they were at the announcement when you had the contract extension what what was that like to call them and tell them that I was amazing they they watch me more than anybody every night there watch and watching the games and they know the players and all the broadcasters they know everybody so for me to have them be you know they're actually here in Seattle right now so we had a nice dinner the other night over over on a by the pike market so just in being able to experience new cities with is this is priceless really it really is I mean not a lot of guys get to do that and we're in a world where some of these guys literally grew up on a dirt floor in raised by who knows but your your grandparents have been with you from really every step of the way absolutely they were their room when I was six seven years old plan and you know watching tournaments and stuff and you know this a lifelong process of me in baseball and and they've been there every step of the way when you're looking at making an all star game I don't know if you remember a conversation we had outside an elevator in Miami you said it to me I don't bring it up to you you said man I just want to get the Cleveland and and to think about it for a second why why you want to go to clean all of that's the all star game this was something that was really important you wasn't it yeah in I've I've been wanting this for awhile now and I feel like it's something now to be etched in stone and ash in my resume and on my profile as a player and you know hopefully it becomes a standard not the new exception nada I feel like I got off to a really good start and you know helped our team won a lot of game and then you know you get a little cold spurred and and then the thought of the all star game sorry creep in and so I can't say it didn't affect me because it it it kind of did but not take everything as a learning process and you know just being able to improve myself overall as a player the experience is going to help how many how many people reached out to you whether they're texting your call in the I know you put it on Twitter Hey thanks everybody they got to me I hundreds yeah I mean that's got to be amazing to the the amount of support that you have from people that maybe Eminem haven't even heard from in awhile absolutely people from you know all all phase of my life reached out no it's great to hear from them though they have the support and you know I I know I don't take that responsibility lightly I I understand what it means to some people and you know being myself out there and being all stars is an important Noah you know accomplishment for myself and everyone around me did you watch the all star game when you we're growing up as a kid was that something that you you made sure like Hey I I got to go inside I'm playing ball right now but I want to go in and see the white shoes in the uniform yeah and the guys absolutely I was once also game and the celebrity softball game to me always gone who is love scenes some of those guys try to compete in the in the softball and thought maybe one day I could hit some bombs out there maybe even switch hit for the heck of it have you thought about the home run derby or if you have been contacted at all about that no one's contacted me last summit at home under Rios in the Northwoods league all star game and only one home run my dad was pitching to me is that right a one hit by pitch in one home run that's what I got that's what you got is anybody give me advice about what to do when you're there like how to take it in and and to make sure that you get the full experience Carlos told me to you know party the whole way through jadi told me to bring some stuff back for the guys Goldie told me to get some stuff signed by everybody the first day and the little things like that but yeah I'm just looking forward to getting this first one on the way and you know I feel like you know I've been in the league this my third season the league now and you not experience level somewhat low on the totem pole as far as this all star team goes so now I feel like I'm definitely learned a lot from some of these guys and we keep my you know my ears open it is your somebody wanted to visit with that you've never had the chance to visit with it's going to be there it's hard to say I'd like to have a little moment with everybody I think that's one of the things that makes me a a good leader in the clubhouse is being able to relate to everyone in there in some way it and then it's not just you know in some ways every day doing things like that being able to it is kind of unified group so for me I'm gonna try to have moments with everybody and and kind of this take all and I've been talking a lot about this on the on the telecast and the numbers bear this out but like your your zone rating is number one among shortstops your defensive runs saved his in the top two or three might be number one after last night your range different you've only made three years how did you get so much better everyday defensively not that you were bad when you started your very good but it just keeps getting better and better and better I think the experience the anticipation knowing hitters knowing swings now all those things kind of factor and then the obviously the fundamentals of catching and throwing like that that's on the of the every time I yeah the matter you know what happens catching and throwing is number one so just the practice in the experience I would say and nice shorts up like I said before it really unlocked my love for defense lace and never want to go play defense as much as I did when I became a shortstop it's interesting because a lot of guys especially this day and age of Major League Baseball it's all about hitting bombs in hitting in doing damage and that you kind of taken on the role of you were already there now full player it's about defense too yeah and I I think that's what a another thing I want to be known for is being an all around player being able to hit me away for power being able to catch and throw and then around the bases on no more most home base I've had since low way so for me this is what I'm trying to just be that complete player for this team what's the one thing you're really working on right now like usually you saying you're evaluating your game you go I got to get better at that what what is it for me it is completely mind set the plate on my mind set on defense is is locked in my mind set on the base is fine and you know for me it like I I go into a for ten then all of a sudden I'm readjusting and thinking and doing all this and like now forget that like I think I need to get back to my aggressive self and you know I watch a video my my swing looks the same so for me it's not about you know and I got her to get an LG the other day like when you're catching and throwing nothing about your mechanics does do it when I heading you don't think about your mechanics is do it so for me the skin back into that and trusting is really the last up been doing this a long time I'm not sure I've ever been around a player that is is even keel is as you are and I mean yeah I never see you get mad I never see get overly excited where did that come from is it something that's always been there or did you have an instance where you got mad and it it turned out poorly in your like man I can't do that again how to how did that all come about I think I'm this made this way it's hard to say I don't remember anything any exploded in exhaustion them because in the that but maybe it's buried deep down up to some therapy to find no I understand yeah it is see the this game of baseball I understand how long of a season it is and how many at bats and how many plays in the other game of failure all this kind of stuff on this like logically on like wheel on not gonna get mad like it it's it's hard I'm gonna I'm gonna prepare and and play hard and and whatever happens happens and being able to move on for me is always been one of my strengths your cerebral guy and you told me at Wrigley it to get better defensively you started watching Addison Russell in hobby by is how they can either walked into the pitch or how they prepared for the split moment of the pitching you're always doing.

"Spot at eight and five and again, they lose the Ashland today that opens up the door. For the opponent for Wayne State tonight lake superior if they want to win this game northern Michigan who's up at halftime. And also northwood of northwood get hold on and win that would mean there would be a four way tie for fourth place at eight and six green valley Wednesday night as well over northwestern, which you think they would and Wayne State can't come back and win this game. There'll be three games out of a tournament spot and the three games has been just one team grand valley four games. We had northwood. Lake St. ferris state in northern Michigan. With only six games left to play. So it's kind of a precarious spot the Wayne State to be and if they can't come back and win this Anthony. I told you the answer the broadcast that every game going forward is almost a must win for Wayne State if they wanna make the league tournament, and they can't come back and Wednesday that'll make the game on Saturday, even more. So when he had to at least at the very least split these two games on the road this weekend. Trying to take care of business at home next week. He gets parks that after north western. I try to win three games on the road. Then the air Saginaw. Northwood. League leader Ashland. It'll be a tough task for wave stated it would be after they lost five games in a row and only one one out of five games that hold during that stretch where the warriors have those five games at home. He thought you had to go at least three and two of the minimum with those five games. Really give yourself a legitimate chance to make a tournament. Response here in the second half comeback before for big deficits in the second half of that northwest gain about a month ago on the road in Hammond, Indiana, where they trailed by nineteen points fairly in the second half. And honestly should have won that game by six fifty to go. So you never know experience. Gotta miss the shots and help you out a little bit see with the warriors can do here and have them or to Davis has to get a go. And he has not sport games. So far good for staff again for Japan Hunterston. Xavier Cochran show what's up points saver Cochran with seven that's broadcast on the network if we can make it down there in time. That's the key word right there because the mackinac bridge might be closed tomorrow is we're supposed to travel back to the lower peninsula of big Rapids and takeout ferris state off time schedule on Saturday for our three o'clock will be with you. Hopefully around three right here the waist. They wear your basketball radio network. I'm sure we'll make it down there at some point. If be are scheduled departure time from Saint rates Marlboro. The warriors will start out with their original starting five there. No one's white drought Hunterston creamery Davis and Xavier Cochran lake St. goes back to their starting five as well. CJ Robinson took care lake Adams Carson Munger Jackson shrimp. Cochran has it for wage state bounces at baseline the Henderson back out. Cochran Kareem overwrite satellite. Davis. Wayne State going left on the radio down here in the second half free Murray. Dribbles into the elbow rates that fires a jump shot. Missed it. Rebound though. Lies Xavier calculate the basket. We got a jump ball is packing was tied up by shrimp Meyer. I'll give the ball back to lake superior. Greenbury just can't get that. Fifteen foot jump shot to go tonight. Might be a different story. If those shots have fallen for the junior from Detroit. Monger? It's out of the key over to Karen. Right side back the Munger playing catch with Karen Duffy shot clock Adams off a screen dribbles in right side. Dumps it down schreier. As it up in and save your cocker Klux. What are they good? Anyway. Sri meyer. Now, it's well points and lake superior leads by twenty three fifty one to twenty eight. Davison forecourt. Overwrite of Kareem Murray up top Dolan's white free throw line Cochran.

"To all the cities in the state that have league teams in i think what's the name of that wouldn't bat league that the like sure sure next or in a step lead the northwoods league maybe there are a number of cities that if they have teams in this i think it's the northwoods league it's not professional baseball it's college players to play on the summer i never basis but there's a franchise in kind o should there's one here at there's what it back won their scattered all over the state and they're generally in decent enough to seventies it creates a niche for families to go at it kinda sporting event that's below the level of say major league baseball in someone to maybe you can view this us hockey league team as that but a team like that is but i don't know how many one twenty twenty five home games a year then maybe you get some concerts maybe you get to host a section all in the state i school basketball tournament there's no really deer is the best at what he part side is located between receiving kind as its own a rate i think as its own that's kind o should really not re see in i you're building the white la but there's almost never going to be yost are you doing what milwaukee did what we built the milwaukee theater a facility that has almost no use ever you could debate the construction of a sports serena like save into but serena downtown milwaukee but we know that that arena has a tenant in the box and another ten and and mark hat and you know that there's a certain draw that's going to be affiliated with that there are very few other cities in wisconsin they're doing this why did have a forty million dollar arena notice some tell man to like about forty million dollar read and now does downtown fonda lack of a forty million dollar read and now all of those communities have sports what he's of some type four seen is building and as i say forty million isn't the bucks are reid is going to come in and around five hundred million forty million isn't giving you a massive huge arena but it's still fair about a body i don't know if for the people that were seen this isn't.
