"Pretty good crowd estimates of anywhere from excessive five hundred to two. Well i would say the thousands but perhaps over a thousand people according to a couple of mornings with gail listeners. Who were in attendance at yesterday at this Protest outside of the fort collins office of the larimer county health department to protest the concept of vaccine passports has got some photos and some video from our mornings with gail family members. Diane and bill and yes in case. You're wondering you remember. It was Last week that we talked with john clark about that huge truck that was parked on north college. That said no fascists and well. Let's just say it caused quite the stir and that truck is still there by the way but apparently according to this piece by molly bahaman despite the weather yesterday which was well of wintry as we have that wintry next of rain snow falling you had people coming from across colorado some even across state lines to voice their concerns. listen to about a dozen speakers Who shared their beliefs about the cove. Nineteen back seen public help. Mandates you had a state. Senators representatives and notable conservative names like dell big tree michelle malkin and kevin jenkins now many of the attendees. They had some pretty creative signs. I have to say but many of the attendees had signed saying we do not comply and fire. Tom gonzalez again. Tom gonzales over the laramie county health department or that critiqued folks. Dr aunt anthony found. She some disavowed. Fascism or compared a vaccine mandate to nazi germany. Now the protest was originally planned against the county's verified vaccine facility program that was announced alongside the county's most recent indoor mass mandate now that voluntary program. Which has been placed on hold for the immediate future allow businesses that required employees and customers to be vaccinated to ignore the basque mandate for indoor spaces. Rather we later found out that even though they jump through all the hoops in order to get that get that particular easement from the mandates that was not grandfathered in to the equation so even though they followed all of the mandates restrictions at least to my understanding while they weren't grandfathered in now the program was actually paid placed on pause following community outcry on october twenty. First just six days. After it was announced on october fifteenth. It was set to go into a fact just yesterday but once again as i mentioned on indefinite hold while the department takes in additional community feedback now. According to a county statement sent out on saturday thirty three businesses that already had their own vaccination mandates had been approved for the program but as mentioned they're going to have to now require at here now adhere to that required mask mandate now..

"Breaking news. Everything nine now. Northern colorado's boys one of three one. Thirteen ten kfi k. Mornings with gail via the auto collision specialists studios and no john. Clark are northern colorado voice of institutional wisdom. I did not hear about the stop. Fascist sign on north college. Do tell this is an interesting little piece of information that i just picked it up this morning but evidently Yesterday there was a communication between tom. Gonzalez who is the director of the health department lerma county and the commissioners and other elected officials such as the sheriff and so on Decrying a sign that was painted on the side of a semi truck trailer. That's parked up on north college avenue in fort collins. That says stop fascists. Now i don't know I guess tom gonzalez took that pretty personally that they were talking about the people in his department who were fascist. I i kinda doubt that. That's a sign leftover from world war two But but on the other hand the whole the whole thing is is crazy because he then wrote this this message to all the commissioners and all those other elected officials i just discussed and it basically said that our health department has been providing protection. Great service to the people of lamoure county for over seventy years. Seventy three years is the number that sticks in my mind and and and we find this offensive and hurtful and and this is just something that my dedicated employees are. This is just a real slam at them. They're really good. People were considered best to the community. That that's my paraphrasing of what he wrote and i think it's spot on us to what the sentiment was no indication that that particular sign was directed him well. He even put a picture of the son in instagram. So that was pretty obvious with the b. Sure is well the signed learns there to obviously to everyone's at trailer and so they want it removed. Now the the only basis to remove it is if that particular semi trailer is parked there illegally that that would be but just to take down because the health department people feel bad about it isn't gonna cut it so then The commissioner could shattuck whatever name is mcnally shattuck wrote back and said that the this is offensive. We're going to get with the city of fort collins. It's in their their jurisdiction and see if there's violates assigned code or whatever I'm pretty expert on the signed code in fort collins and there is a limit as to how big assigned you can have however it doesn't cover semi trailer trucks You can put your budweiser as big as you want on the side of your trail. And in this case Evidently this individual has a problem with fascism I guess given the current climate in political situation right now at it very likely could be aimed at people in health department. Though the health department is making assumption here and perhaps it's all of the blowback that came from their attempts to institute for lack of a better term. A what i referred to as a vaccine passports again saying oh no. This is purely voluntary for businesses. And john united talked about that Right as well as soon as it popped up basically they they pressed pause. I'm not gonna say that. Put the kyw bosch on the program. They pressed pause because it is a step on the way toward a vaccine passport. But it's interesting. I guess as you said tempers are flaring. i mean the community. Angry businesses angry Once again it's the ever rotating changing nature of cova nineteen guidelines and restrictions. The for him to take the so personally i. I'm not so sure that well. That's the way he should go with. This would have been better if he had just ignored. Well that's one way but then enter lamoure county. Sheriff justin smith to the rescue. He wrote back and he said that. This is a matter of free. Speech guaranteed by the constitution. This is not something that is considered Hate hate speech It's not something that's considered obscenity. And therefore it is protected by the first amendment. Well okay I i i agree with you in this country. Do not have the right not to be offended. That's right yeah suddenly spot on the and you can't offend other people. It's if you want to. It's not always a great idea. But but yeah you. You can't if you feel strongly offend somebody. He can't hit him. You get hurt and you can't called physical harm to them but just to hurt their feelings That is not a constitutionally protected Right so anyway i. I'm so grateful to justin put some sanity into this whole discourse prone to do you justin. You and i both have a high opinion of justice. I don't know where he's headed next in his political life. But i'm with him wherever he goes so so anyway he put this in so this is just some craziness now. The as i said at the outset the only thing thing that can stop that sign is if that truck is illegally parked wherever it's party but that's not likely because there are a lot of semi trucks naked.

"The headset on. Umpire really really could be out there. So what if he's out there than he's going to be found regardless of if there's other way we are making our foray into youth sports for the first time my daughter who's four. We start soccer next saturday. So i'm interested in how this is going to go but now it begins now. It begins with oscar de going to be. i think i'm going to be the perfect youth sports parent. I think it will be the perfect youth sports parent because i'm not going to be screaming kids screaming at refills. Losing my mind. I just i'm not. She has my genetics in my wife's genetic suggest what she's probably not going to be a professional athlete. No we are going to be. But i'm not worried about me. I'm not worried about my daughter. And i don't know that we're going to get this at the age of four but this is the gateway to youth sports and with us sports you get youth sports parent and there might not be a person that i detest more than over. The top. always angry always losing their mind youth sports parent and you know. Look i mean my daughter's only four for years. I thought i was never going to be apparent. I never thought. I would have to encounter youth sports parent but now here we are. We're going to start youth sports. Just please tell me. We don't have over the top angry soccer mom or dad with four year old soccer. Can i at least wait until we're seven or eight years old first of all. Let's see if jackson likes the sport right five weeks. I don't know how it works. When i mean we're gonna play games. I know we're starting soccer next saturday. I don't really know what that entails. We've bought some shin guards and some shoes daughters thrilled about that. Her favourite preschool teacher played college soccer. And so since then. She's wanted to be like her favorite preschool teacher. But this is this. Is it now this is. This is where i start spending a lot of time around a little league fields and soccer fields which up until this point in my life. I haven't had to do since. I was a kid with next five weeks. We need reports of how he saturday goes. I will provide updates on provide reports. But i just. I'm hopeful that we at least get a few years of. Hey this is fun. It's a fun activity or trying to make friends. we're trying to socialize. We're trying to have a good time. We get a few years of that before we have over the top. Everything is about winning. I'm going to be angry and yell at everybody. Youth sports parent at what age of my kid playing sports will that kick in for me and my family. My parents about six tiba t-ball older of new. I didn't encounter angry youth. Sports dead until i was eleven and it was a dad of a kid that i play baseball with and this do just went out of his way to make as unfunny as possible for everybody and so i have spent the last thirty two years hoping that i would never encounter that again. Now i've gone to a high school basketball games. I watched a game. My buddy shannon is the head coach at north college hill shannon minor and i went and saw one of his playoff games and a kid on the other team. Their dad threw his shoes onto the floor. Now what are we doing. Just imagine being that kid right. This is always been the kind of like parent that i hope. I'm never going be like. That's just. That's not in my dna number two. It's been the parent that i've always hoped to eventually void but now we're starting this so man i ever since we had a kid. I've had occasionally like well. What sports is she gonna play. I'm like right now. She plays with elmo. she's eight months old. Dude i don't know can. Can we get through a year. She walked first before we determine what her athletic future is going to. Behold i can we can we. Can we see if she We get her out of diapers. But as as we've gone a little bit older where she can apply. What is she can apply where she going to go. What's like i don't know man. I just trying to get through today dude. I'm trying to get her to eat her food. Okay trying to get her to bed without being a ninety minute ordeal and you're asking me what sport. She's gonna play what she's thirteen. I don't want out here we are. We're four starting soccer experience than i did kick in chain one time. They wanna put every. I have a friend of mind to this day. We were seven years old. He took a ground ball to the chin walked off the field never played baseball again. Eight years old actually took a ground ball. Bank is playing left. Field just took a book. Bloody tongue walked off the field done with this never played baseball again. Huge baseball fan to this day big cubs fan but still the big baseball fan to this day. So hope yes. Hopefully we're dealing with better and look. I didn't play soccer growing up so they're not exactly going to be counting on. You know when we start playing the sports. That i played i could. I could lend a hand maybe i. I don't know that i would. I would have it in me to be the coach. But i could lend a hand but it's not that i wouldn't want to coach because of the kids i just. I don't now if you're the coach. Suddenly the kind of youth sports paradise seek to not be friends with her or beat. I just. I'm not dealing with that person. Directly be snagged or skyline the skyline after every game. I could do that. I could do that. I'm not even should we play games in four year old soccer. I don't know if this is just the kids. show up. got their gear on. Here's some balls. Kick him around. And we're done. I mean i don't know that we're playing competitive matches at the age of four with a bunch of kids who probably don't even know what they're doing out there. Were basically doing this because her friend from preschool plays soccer and so this is something they can do together. But i just i'm really really fearful that now. The next fourteen years of my life the adult goes out of their way to ruin sports for everybody is going to be a constant presence in my life. I'm all for youth. Sports love sports. There's there there are awesome. More kids played them. But the only part of being a parent that i have dreaded since the moment that i was going to buy found out that i was going to be one. There have been two one would be when my daughter's old enough to drive. Because at that point i just i don't even know what i'm gonna do but before that you've sports or it's not just sports too right. I've been in my life. Subjected to over the top marching band parent. I don't know if my daughter has any musical interest but if she does awesome. Let's get in the band. I have been around in my life over the top and parent brutal to ballet would be fine. I don't know if there is such thing as over the top ballet. Really whatever activities. She's into we will support. That does not matter and obviously me being a huge sports fan sports would be cool. But if i'm around the adult that goes out of their way to and i have friends who i think are this person but i'm not around them when they are that person so godspeed to me a week from tomorrow. I think we're two thirty someplace on the west side. If your kid is on my daughter's team let's please. Let's let's get. Let's get to were over the age of five before we're pairing just can't screaming only the referees and four year old soccer and if they are those folks god love them. I have a nephew. Tanny was in basketball and this is before the pandemic and the parents were pretty good. Parents were pretty good fact. If anything i was like the guy was like you know trying to help them out there. And just from the stance. It's helping him on defense a little bit..

Bene which is the classic new orleans style the powdered sugar but the bene itself is filled with arkansas chocolate gravy different. So if you don't know what chocolate gravy is. It's a very southern thing. It's it's basically like it's the texture kind of a normal gravy but it's a sweet gravy instead of savory so it's cocoa powder flour butter sugar typically it served over biscuits but over been yeas. One of Civic Organization of the Fire department would get 40 or 50 of those ice cream makers together the homemade ones and they sell you ice cream. And they have strawberries, Peaches or whatever. I forget what it costs for a little bowl. But those things were really great. I mean, the ice cream was great. It was really good. The other thing I miss is the corner groceries. When I was growing up, you could get a RC pop and a Twinkie for a quarter. And then you bring the bottle back and you get two pieces of penny bubble gum. That was the thing there was. There was a corner grocery at near my house. We used to ride our bikes up there and still have any candy. Yeah,.

Nevertheless, in view of the soon to occur inauguration of Biden and Harris, neither whom do I respect They should be subject by conservatives too strict scrutiny 24 73 65 as to both their personal and official conduct. Otherwise, it would appear that they're theft of that second term from Trump is being Condoned and is proceeding without any serious reservation. They have to feel the force of strict scrutiny in everything that they're doing so that they can be sadly somewhat restrained. From the radical agenda that we all know is in the works. Now, let me let me respond to that. Appropriately, Of course, the middle of December. See if you can agree with this. Last night. I took some calls all over the country, especially in Wisconsin. About how terrible things are. This is now January. The 18th. The inaugural is two days away sometime in the middle of December. 14th one that when the electoral college voted, or 15th, that was a time that it was obvious, despite what many of us wanted that Trump would not be the next president. In fact, it was obvious he was gonna lose what it had been a better political course for him to take is the president say around the middle of December, December 20th through so To address the nation and say, I don't agree with the outcome. I don't agree with the method by which the outcome was attained. Nonetheless, it's obvious that Joe Biden is going to be the next president. And I wish him well, because his success will be mine. I'm gonna spend the next month going to several states thanking the voters of United States of America for giving me the unique opportunity of a lifetime to be your president, and I'm gonna spend a lot of time in the great state of Georgia. Over the next two or three weeks to try to make sure that the Senate doesn't slip into the hands of leftist liberals and progressives and socialist because that would not be in the national interest. Even though I don't agree with the outcome and how it got to this point, I'm gonna be presidential for the next month, and I'm gonna make sure that Georgia votes for Republicans and I'm gonna wish Joe Biden. Well, I'm gonna call him to congratulate him. I'm gonna bring him in on the White House. Just like Obama brought me into the White House without have been a better course. That would be very PC. And I certainly would not agree with that in the entirety of what you said I to me it was imperative. That there be an investigation into the conduct of the those voting and the changing of laws last minute otherwise, all of the affidavits another evidence gathered, indicating Mass illegality in a number of states would have not been uncovered. It would have been either covered up disregarded or no attention paid. But at the same time, I do agree that Trump could better have handled the situation particularly relative to the rally. Which he spoke January 6 that was ill advised. Because at that point we knew that the state and federal courts had thrown up their hands. We're going to go take no action whatsoever regarding this all a matter of politics, despite the obvious illegality of Biden and Harris is election, so that's why I think strict scrutiny. 24 73 65 is the only reasonable course to follow. Otherwise we devolved Was state of violence. And who knows where that may end up and I don't see that as well Serving the long term interest of this nation. Silence. That's it. Thank you for your call. I would say this You're exactly correct in many areas this year, 2021 State legislative branches of government have got to tighten up, tighten down and identify all the mail in ballots. One of the requirements I spoke to State representative Bill sites. We had a big pal, well, a price Hill Chili. On Saturday with some other power brokers. And there's a chance that price sell chili will be soon soon known as Ken Would chili. They may move to Kendall Betts. That's a different story. And I made the point to them that how come Ohio has a functional mail in ballots system and outcome? Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan. Georgia did not build site said it took 6 to 8. It took quite a while, but there's 67 or eight requirements on mail in balloting that is taking us several years to perfect. And what's happening in Pennsylvania and Georgia does not does not rise up to the commensurate level with the great state of Ohio and so silence if those states that have had difficulties which spend this year Listening and watching and enacting laws than litigate the crap out of it for the next two years. Get it up to the Supremes. Let them rule on it all when we haven't off term Election off year election and about almost two years and then the presidential. We're going to have a circumstance. Whether is commensurate oversight of the mail in balloting to make sure it's legit, and some board of election official or state court judge unconstitutionally is not changing, changing the system at a time. That's what has to happen in 2021. And if that happens, I feel much better about the whole circumstance. When you say what happened on the sixth The president of United States knew Nothing was going to change and the electoral college vote When Mike Pence announced the result, he knew that But under false pretenses. He brought what 100,000 people to Washington making it sound as if if you go walk down Pennsylvania Avenue and fight like crazy. I'm gonna win. And Pence is going to do what's right. How in the world can the president make such statements to a large crowd that are pissed off anyway? When some violent right wingers among them when he knew there was no way Mike Pence suddenly was going to announce. Throw out the ballots? Trump is the president wasn't gonna happen. False pretenses. That's a problem. Let's continue. Line becomes available. 513749 7000 calls from Dayton Waynesville Sharon Ville North College Helen More at your home of the Reds news radio 700 wlw, This is 700 wlw. "I'm Billy Cunningham. Let's you and I get out of right now. We have full lines almost already. So we got silence and Cedarville and Bert I love the name Bert and Sharon Ville, the old home of Mayor Mike Dallin. And Bill in North College Hill, the home a Mayo and Walker and Dick and Dayton, a good friend of Mike McConnell's and more one quick comment. We had a call off the air from a noted judge, and if he wants to call back in, you certainly welcome to do so. The difference is this which he pointed out, and we both know and that is that Twitter and Google and Facebook or not. Not public entities guarded by the First Amendment so they could do whatever they want to do. Now, the same thing apply until 1964 with the Civil Rights Act. And if private business owners living in North College Hill or sharing Beller Cedarville said, You know what? I don't want black people staying here in my place. I don't want black people to be coming into my store across keys at that point, a terrible moral idea. It's it's wrong. So what happened is to Congress passed a law. 1964 upheld as constitutional that if you're a business of public accommodations, plus some other categories, you can't discriminate on the basis of race or gender or religion. So that means if you agree to take the public license of selling vendors, whatever it might be, or you're inspected by the government to make sure that your facility is clean. At one of the accouterments of that is that you will not you will follow the Civil Rights Act of 1964. So up into that point. If you owned a store, you said, I want a bar People of Asian descent from coming in. Well, you could legally do it until 1964 bad business idea, but it was. That's the way it was over the last more than half a century. Private businesses have a menu of federal laws they have to comply with one of them is you can't discriminate on the basis of race, sex or gender. Now, in the case of Twitter, they're not discriminating on the basis, they're discriminating the basis of political opinion. Which is not a protected category and over the years, disabilities been added to the category 1991. So there's a few areas that when you conduct private business, you cannot discriminate. Race, gender or sexual orientation, disability things like that. But if you say I don't want to have I want to have a restaurant or bar that caters only due to Republicans. You could do that. Only the Democrats are. You can do that if you won't have a business where you sell? Uh so, uh, iPhones and you could say, you know what? I do not want Someone who voted for Donald Trump. To do my but what you can do that It's a bad business idea, but that's the difference. And so Twitter has most likely. The legal right, Tonto say we're going to de list and D certified, not put on our platforms, all these conservative publications and persons and at this point the only argument might be an anti trust one that bill sites discussed, but that Lawsuit would take a decade to resolve it would take a long time. And so that's the differential is to why Twitter can legally do it. And not likewise, I've posted one thing on Twitter in the past week or 10 days. I'm evaluating along with many others, whether I want to be on a platform. That, uh Is used to discriminate based upon political viewpoint. Because that platform allows Louis Farrakhan and TIFA Black lives matter ink. It allows communist red China to use their platform to disseminate their ideas. Not President Trump. He's not that's wrong. And they've also de listed dozens and dozens of other conservatives, not me, but they've done that. So I'm evaluating how tow can continue to communicate with you, which we do six days a week anyway. Let's go to the calls and great to have you with me later on. We've scheduled Dr Blatt b l A T T have tried help. Talk about Cove. It also Kevin Jackson of the Black Sphere on M L. King Jr Day. One little story and then I'll go to the calls. I had the honor and 1971. Theo be hard by Judge Robert V. Franklin, Robert Vernon Franklin and Lucas County Common Police Court as a bailiff. And there was an opening there. The job paid $6000 a year which I thought was quite a bit And at that point I was going to law school between base and I was in law school at night. From six PM was the first class at University of Toledo and I concluded a 10 p.m.. And so I was working at nationwide consumer services, as like a bill collector. This is after I graduate. Miss Sager admitted to university later to get my juris doctor degree. And there was a little little blurb I saw on the wall of Of Professor Ron Rates room. If you want to be a bailiff and Lucas County common Police Court, here's the number to call, So I called down. I got it and interview And he hired me to be his constable, along with Cormac Delaney, who continues to practice law. One of the first things I noticed in his chambers or Ah young, very young Martin Luther King Jr. With Judge Franklin Very young, like 18 19 years old and at this point to course, King was assassinated about three years earlier, but he was still a giant and the civil rights industry and judge Franklin in the 19 sixties. It was a judge at that point for about 10 years would bring M L. King Torto Toledo because everybody's And so a lot of pictures of Martin Luther King Jr MLS. He called him and Judge Franklin because they went to school together at Morehouse College in the late 19 forties. M. L King was my boss's roommate. The three of them a Morehouse College. You often tell me stories about how human and how personable and how friendly and how committed and just a great guy to be around M. L was And they would double dated center met Coretta and away we go. That was three years after the assassination, so that was he had nothing but the highest respect for King. And then when he was when he was assassinated. I think it was like April 4th 1968 in Memphis that the judge and his family went down to Memphis. Originally and then over to Atlanta for the funeral, So let's continue and if the line becomes available, which it never does 513749 7000 let's go to Silas and Cedarville the home Of Governor Mike DeWine and then Burton, Bill and Dicking with three lines open. 749 7000 Silence and Cedarville. Welcome to the Bill Cunningham Show in Silence. Please go ahead. Hello, Willie. I'm unquestionably. A second term was stone from Trump. Nevertheless, in view of.

"Father versus son, How did How did this matchup come about? Is this something that was put together with the thought your son could be a varsity player down the road? Is this an annual affair? No matter what happened. Why do you guys play each other? Well, the thing was, you know, with Mitchell would meet with me coach and then him playing in northern Kentucky. Sometimes it's difficult to to make some of the game, so I figured Well, that would be a night that I wouldn't miss it game on. So selfishly enough, you know, I figured Hey, look what we play, and so is freshman year we played it, Scott. Nationally played North College and we're going to play Northcott until this year and then let them be senior night there, but it's probably best now that we flip it a little bit that way. See your night's not of emotional night and he'd go out there and enjoy that game. And there's some other things going on, too. You know what covert and then? And so I think. Um Scott Stephenson Santo third James, where you know, sent tonight. It's a little bit less, but it comes the fans. And so it just was better this year to make that move. And, uh, you know, I hope I did not wish him all the best luck. Like I said, I want them to do well, too, And I want us to do well. It's just You know what who ever played the best that night? You know how it is that not a seven game seriously. It's one game and you know whoever plays good On that night, I'd be the one. They'll come out the winner Shin and give us some insight. What's it been like Navigating covert with your team in terms of Disruptions, Games practice. What? What we've been dealing with is extremely difficult. I mean, we've been off the North Korean show. We haven't played a game of practice since December. December, 9th. We just started. We just started practicing on Saturday and so to get all these guys on the same page and put everything back in that we had in before. You know, it's never in high school. You could do all the Google Google meats and zooms and all that stuff that you want. You know, we started off five and won. And now we have a pause and we had to just keep hoping the guys up. I had a face time I had to call him had to pump him up. You know, you can't go really go see him. You gotta protect yourself. So it's been really difficult it has. I mean, it's It's one of the things we're like Mitchell, you know they've only played. It's got hateful, three games, and then you have some school do play 13 and seven Hills High School hasn't even practiced yet. And so there's just that disparity there and it's extremely difficult. I feel so bad. Kids right now, my own kids for Scott kids for the North Council kids because my experiences growing up of high school and college where the absolute best of my life I wouldn't trade for anything that camaraderie with the guys and the coaches, the cheerleaders, the student body. They don't even get through the experience that this year you know, it. Just it really puts a damper on sports. A new season wasn't a lot of fun last year because we had obstacles and that it's just hard, you know, And like I said, I really feel bad for the kids. I hope that they could have a strength ease, and I hope that the basketball team Have a state German and my goal. Is that the kids and get 15 to 20 basketball games and I don't know if that's gonna happen this year hope that they can A great catching up with you. I know you're busy. Always love talking with you. I think this is a really cool story. Please send my best to Mitchell. Tell the rest of the family. I said Hey, and enjoy Thursday night. And best of luck to both of you. But truth be told. I'm like rooting for him. I'm gonna go 50 to 48 over you. I'm going to tilt it a little bit because I've talked to you enough. I'm not gonna root for him. 50 to 48 my allegiance to your son. How's that? What? Right now You got me all jacked up before the nine I just came home from practice ball. Jack Self. I'm excited. I've gotta watch film. Hey, look, Mo came last year, most tender game laughter. You know, Mo graduated from Scott. So you know, he even made he made reference art last year. I actually went out and bought a pizza after the game. He was Italian. That North Korea still getting Donovan Adult beverage must be like adult beverage. So knows been there. He's a big alone of Scott. So I'm sure he'll have some ways around. It is. Well, that is excellent. Hey, Best of luck. Thanks. Good catching up with you. Are they made me Take care. There you go. "Friend of the show. He was a studded NK You is part of back to back division to Region. Title teams in 96 97 scored over 1200 points in his career than K you for 500 assist. He did pass the ball. And over 200. I think 228 3 so we could shoot it These days. He's the high school basketball coach at North College Hill. And how cool is this gonna be Thursday night? He will be coaching against Scott High School. More specifically, he will be coaching against Hiss son who's on the Scott Varsity team. All man, Let's get more on that. Welcome in Shannon, Minor How are you? Lance, I'm doing great. How you doing? I'm well. Are you are you Are you ready for this? You know what I'm hiding in the bathroom right now. I have to actually call you in the bathroom, so I don't get beat up in the house. Oh, yes, I'm ready. You know, it's it's weird, but it's fun. I think it's something that will look back at As we get older, the family gets orders. Mitchell gets older and the kids get older. I think it's something we'll look back at. And, uh you know, we did. We get breaking rights for a year. There's a lot of fun, no matter what we win, and we moved. So it's just a matter of how you handle it after after the game, I know I know how much your your dad meant to you and still means to you. What? What's it mean? And you've coached your kids as they've grown up? But what's it mean to be able to coach against one of them on Thursday night? You know, I think my dad has a lot to do with that. You know, I think about my dad a lot and he has a lot of influence and impact on some of the things I do now and And I never got the coach or play against my dad. And so I would get the coach with my dad or upstate for my dad. And so, you know, I think this is something unique and different where most kids go to school with their parents. This is, you know, total opposite work. No missile goes. It's cotton. What it is. It's a lot of fun. You know, there's you know, it could be never breaking a little bit. But like that said, even if you win, you lose, and even when you lose you so you can still win because You know, that means Scott wins. All right. Pretend pretend you're it. You're it practice this week in your game planning. You're getting your team ready. What is the scouting report? What are you telling your team about your son number one, Mitchell. You know, he's got a really good work ethic. He works extremely, extremely hard on his craft. And on his game. You got to keep me in front of you because you can help the basketball. Even true Point guard. He can handle the ball. He could shoot it obviously taking a lot of shots in the off season, But you gotta keep him in front of you for sure. He's little be short so he can use his speed and quickness to get by. We gotta keep me in front of you. Give me an idea because you are. You're a sports. It's a potpourri of sports in your family. He's not the you and he are not the only ones who are sports inclined, are you I'm like CeCe and I have no state titles like my wife. I have no no championship. We'll have a couple of championships. But my other kids are well, you know that one play soccer one plays ball about one plays basketball, So we have a wide variety and so I think it makes we're good household. A good nick. Because when I don't hold it focusing on one sport, how have you is this talked about in the house? Is it dinner conversation? You guys just go about your you do your thing He does yours and you'll see each other on Thursday. Well, here's the thing last year, coach Romeyer from Scott said. Hey, look, called my wife the next day and said, I don't know if it's but this is a good idea to do because you know it gets a little emotional, just like it would if you had, you know, my dad grew up with eight brothers and sisters, So you know they're always fighting the house and they were always arguing between you know who's the best of this? And that's so like. No, I think there's some bragging. I think there's some division within the family. You know, everyone's gonna root for Mitchell, which is great. Like I said, if they win, I mean, he's having a good game and his team's having a good game, So I'm happy for them if we win. That means I get breaking rights for another year. You just gotta be careful with it. You know, you gotta make sure it doesn't get to the point where you know gets worse. You know, in the house, I don't think it does. I think you know he understands how much I care about him. And the rest of that, You know, rest of our family. I rebound form all the time. Take him, you know camps and did all that stuff He was growing up. And so you know, I coached him through grade school and middle school, You know all the way at the high school, So you know that I coachman a Yuhas. Well, now he gets to hear a different voice on the sideline from his coach and then get the coach and play against us on us on Thursday night. All right, if if we got the rest of the family together tonight and and separated you from them. And ask them who they're rooting for Thursday night. What do you think? That consensus is in the house if they had to choose? I have no jams have no chance. I only have one person. I think my mom probably split down the middle. But she'll go 51 Mitchell 49, mate, but, you know, I think, you know, I think it makes it for it Makes for fun. You know, being the bad guy. That's final. I'll take that. You know, you're always you know, a zoo coach. You're always kind of No living on the other side of a little bit here was trying to prove yourself and every time I go out there with the coach, I'm always trying to prove myself like I did of the player. And so now, no matter for playing Scott High School, we're playing somebody in our league and Cincinnati. I always want to go out there and win because it just makes you feel good to leave the court being a winner, Shannon Minor check it Informer. I stand out it NK you Now the coach is North College Hill. His team takes on Scott High School Thursday night Hiss son Mitchell plays on that Scott teams who its.
