Gun Violence in America: Defining the Problem

"It's happening all over and all too often. America struggles to emerge from one pandemic. The nation is besieged by another. We got stopped at once in college. We got a mail shot down. get down. The country tries to recover from kobe. Nineteen with it's unfair burdens and incomprehensible death toll and is thickened new by gun violence with it's unfair burdens and ever growing death toll. Taking their knives he had shot and killed of my son. And my daughter police say the increase in shootings is much of the time due to urban gangs but there are also variants involving warring drug traffickers mass shootings domestic violence and suicide. All of it experts say fueled by the health and economic strains wrought by cova nineteen and powered by the uniquely american affinity for an access to guns joke when i ran crime. Strategies can't shoot somebody without a gun as the police commissioner in new york city identify. Who's carrying guns. The going out there making the arrests taking the gun off the street is great but really what we need. The Disappearance of Joyce Yost

"Near as kim could tell her mother had last been seen late on the prior saturday night in her sister. Dorothy driveway to know if it had been twenty four hours. You be missing. Nobody you in twenty four hour started by the next day. When they're still wasn't anything. I begged them. Just meet me over there. Go in and see what's wrong you know. And so they met me over there but they made me go in. They didn't go in. I kim wriggled into her. Mother's apartment around noon on tuesday august thirteenth through a side window. She knew did not latch tight. She unlocked the door allowing her husband and a south ogden officer inside everything was clean just like she kept spotless. No sign of a struggle department was always tidy. Everything in the kitchen appeared as usual. She had a one of those automatic times. Copied kicked on and made coffee and the coffee pot was fool. They went into choices bedroom. All our jewelry and everything was on a dresser Anybody came in and robbed her. Everything just like normal. It's like joyce would keep it. Almost the bed was made. A single pillow sat at the top of the bed. It was a minor thing but joyce's bed usually had two pillows always used to falsely petillo that. Tv was right where it was supposed to be her toothbrush her cosmetics. All that stuff was in the bathroom. The pink dress. Joyce had worn to the officers club the prior saturday night sat draped over the back of a chair. Obviously she came home. Set the coffee pot. She had every intention to getting up on starting at her day and just never got to start. Kim looked in her mom's closet. Joyce had so many outfits it was impossible to tell if any of them were missing but she did notice something else. I found a wash cloth down between the dresser in the door and it was dried up and crumpled like had fallen down between detective. sergeant brad. Birch arrived at joyce's apartment that same afternoon to performing more thorough search. He stripped joyce's bed discovering the sheets and the pillow sham didn't match. He examined the wash cloth. It was crusty as happens when water slowly evaporates out of cotton. He smoothed it out. The front face had alternating stripes of pink brown green and gray. The back was tan with several rust colored stains dried blood.

The Freezation of Pam McGee

"The freeze ation of pam mcgee. There are strange things done in the mid day sun by those who searched for spoil the desert sands have their hidden plans. That would set your blood to boil. The pharaohs tombs have seen strange dooms but the strangest they did ever see. Was that day on the edge of oasis hedge. I froze up old pam. Mcgee now pam mcgee was from kittery where the snowfall blasts and blows why. She left home from the north to roam around the desert. No one knows she was always hot but the endless thought of gold held her in spell though she'd often say in her brazen way she'd sooner swim a well. Well it all happened. Because i was her captain. We joined up after the war. We figured a duo could find their way through. All the desert may have in store with camel stout us to set out to search the sands for wealth and like a crown. The son weighed down and tried to sap our health one. Summer's day we tracked are way over the dawson. Pass talk of heat through son or sheet. It burned like boiling gas in an open. I rough sand would fly until we couldn't see it wasn't fun but the only one to gripe was pam mcgee and as it rose the sun imposed a dreadful pressing fire the canteens mon dry as a bone. We feared that we'd expire and though it felt we'd begun to melt. Our goal was still ahead. We'd reach the edge of oasis hedge or else we'd both be dead and that very noon like pebble-strewn. We struggled in the sand. The camels fed sun overhead. We staggered stripped and tanned. Pam turned to me and cap says she. I'm all cashed in. i guess. And when. I'm through i'm asking you please grant one last request. She seemed so low that i couldn't say no. Then she rasped out in a moan. It's the curse it heat. It's got me beat. I'm melting skin and bone.

Eureka O'Hara: The Drag Race All Stars Season 6 Winner

"So you've talked before. About how before drag race you lived as a trans woman for five years and then you decided that that's or you realize that's not actually who you are. Can you just talk about your early experience gender and what led you to think that you might be a trans woman. Oh yeah of. Course why i to reiterate into the versus me figuring out that i'm not. I think it was more of like discovering that. I'm like all of these things you know what i'm saying. Expansion the weirdly. Like i think the trans person that i was is a huge part of who i am now. It's just like a more elevated self perception and then also like some description as far as like gender goes that's where gender neutrality i think comes in right. I just remember growing up. Well i i grew up with all women. So four women I remember being younger. And like the little gameboy and we always like wanted to be a girl. Because it'd be easier. I think we'll have those thoughts a little bit at some point in our life like oh like dealing with the persecution of it or likes negatively or like the self inflicted ideas that we put on ourselves because of other people's opinions we automatically assume that it's a bad thing and how much easier beats like. Just be a girl so then you could wear pretty and for things and you could like boys and you know all these things that you want. Do play with barbies etc. So that was kind of a star. I think and then i met a guy when i was like eighteen. Who was really interested in eureka and i clicked with him really well so then like i was already doing drag and i was living with a trans woman at the time so it just seems like so many factors of my mind mike. My thought process was adding up to this like okay. You're not leaving your authentic self. Maybe this is something you should discover and then the boy comes in. Because and i call him a boy because he turned out not to be a man. Okay reading like in allegra boswell sands so the boy was also there for like that. Validation i guess my having someone to support me through it because he was more interested in eureka. So that's why. I kind of brought that up because the thought process was more from like growing up and then living with the transvaal man and just having those ideas kind of for a long time anyway dating him he he really isn't do eureka. Your drag character and so it's like you're getting all the validation about the feminine side of noon that an interesting. It was interesting but it was like. I really liked him. You know and he was like the first time i ever had like had a guy that could consider like a real interested in mike relationship type situation and saddam was just like you know fell head over heels really quickly so i would have done just about anything but i was already thinking these things. I can't really say like. Oh well i did it. Because i met this guy no i had the quote unquote balls. Elevate or the lack thereof to push myself to do it. Because i had like this validation from the opposite sex or however you want to describe the gender of that situation. I don't know how would talk about that.

Don’t Miss the Strawberry Moon – The Last Supermoon of 2021

"The last super moon of the year is coming this week. So mark your calendars for thursday. The twenty four th through saturday. The twenty sixth. You want to catch a glimpse of the strawberry moon. The june full noon is traditionally called the strawberry moon in north america because in certain parts. June is win. Strawberries are in season. Which just feels like salt in the wound for my strawberry plant which started the season strong and his all ready fizzled out the strawberry new name. According the old farmer's almanac comes from the algonquin gb dakota and look at people's among others. But it's also been called games by other indigenous nations and cultures to mark different plants being in season at this time like the cherokee who call it green corn moon or the initial nabi who call it blue moon in honor of the flowers in bloom the creek all it egg-laying noon or hatching moon and hopping over the ocean to europe over there. The june moon was sometimes called the mead moon or the honey moon and given that june was once the traditional month for marriages thanks to the roman goddess of marriage juno old farmer's almanac and nasa both speculate that it could be an origin of the term honeymoon which entered usage around the fifteen hundreds in europe.

Welcome to the Dan Bongino Show!

"Believe we're here right now. I mean, it's been a really incredible long road. I got my start in talk radio. And I want to say for the first time when I say here I mean, right here at this point. Welcome to the Dan Bongino show. I'm Dan Bongino. And, gosh, that feels good to say. Been a really long road. I never thought this would happen. And this moment is bittersweet. Mean bitter sweet in the real meaning of the phrase Bitter sweet, Not like Joe Biden says it where he screws it up and doesn't know what it means. But sweet because I get to talk to you now every day from 12 noon to three. On talk radio, which has been the heartbeat of this nation for decades now. But why is talk radio conservative talk radio specifically liberal. Screw it up. I tried that whole experiment with talk radio didn't really work. You know, we actually care about the issues. So we do this stuff and do it all the time and do it well, But why is talk radio the heartbeat of this nation? Why has it been for 30 years? Well, I could tell you most certainly isn't because of Dan Bongino. It's because of the greatest of all time. Titan of this industry, a giant Rush in Amman. That's the bitter part. Rush Limbaugh You're used to hearing for decades now me as well. We used to hearing his booming voice in your ear. This time block for 30 years. He's a giant. The Godfather. They say often, it's not just that Rush Limbaugh was the greatest player in the game. Rush Limbaugh was the greatest player in the game for 30 years. And it's not just that Rush Limbaugh was the M V P of the game for 30 years. Rush Limbaugh. Created the game. You know, you think of the greats in any business. Gretzky, Jordan, Babe Ruth. They had great 15 20 year runs. They weren't MVPs for 20 years. But they didn't invent basketball, hockey and baseball respectively. National conservative talk radio. Was practically invented by Rush Limbaugh. I want to say to the Patriots out there who've spent your time being educated, informed and entertained by the greatest talk radio host there ever will be for the last 30 years. Can't replace him. May sit in his time slot and it's the greatest honor of my life to do this. My first love has always been radio. But I can't replace him.

"Greetings earthlings high noon is being to you from above the Heineken river deck appear seventeen jeep last Stevenson and so filling where we didn't know his destiny destiny will probably is his destiny which getting lots of buckets in China it is this is the coney island to China pipeline following. The footsteps of Steph on Margaret is right every Abraham they get high schools MARV Albert calling the game when another Abraham Lincoln High School graduate. I feel like the neighborhood changed a little bit. Those are the last. Oh Oh I want this to be. A reality series a movie everything. You might win an award for it because that's on Marbury actually did but Mani money we have to talk about this. Dallas cowboys story because anyone who's ever met a cowboys fan knows that the franchise actually believes in its own exceptionalism and now with Dak Prescott Scotts extension looming sports illustrated has detailed how being a star for Jerry Jones might actually be more profitable than being a star for pretty much anyone else so Bomani. You are resident. Texas experts do the cowboys really matter as much as they think they the mistake here is limiting this to the state of Texas right the cowboys that America's team southern they came up with but I would venture that every city that does not have a football team. The most popular team in that city is the Dallas cowboys. They heavy reached the nobody else. Does they are the only franchise they could get us to talk about them in a segment like this. They do matter in that way but let's talk about this story connor or wrote for sports illustrated. We're basically talks about how at the cowboys facility ability. Jerry's gotta set up for all these different business people who come in and hang out with the players and nobody's allowed to take pictures of what he's selling it as for players at least is access to these folks access to to make connection better help you make money and then in turn. The cowboys don't have to pay you as much money because they put you into rule with all the money that's there and that all sounds really cool. Who'll however I can get in all those rooms and still get my money from you right like it's not like Zeke Elliot tries to fight hard to get his bread and then get to the Jerry's going to be like no you don't need the extra bread. UK Hang out with the rich people. You could still do all of that stuff but Jerry is selling the idea of playing for the cowboys almost like the idea of like playing for one of the top not universities. It's a much different scenario. They most teams to sell it but that's where I was going to go was that this reminds me of college. When you have cap spending on salaries whether because of law or because of your habits and preferences you end up trying to Max out everything else. The clippers and basketball have been doing this and it's smart. We'll we'll give you we'll build you the giants space ship of a stadium. We'll have all these connections alumni business networking and also like as they do at the cowboys stadium. We have a pro shop where we'll spotlight the products you WANNA on a cell but all of this just reminds me that when you're signing up to play for a sports team which really Dune is trying to sign up to be on television show and this is the television show that is the most popular and by the way in so far as that is true marketing dollars will follow Dak Prescott advertising beads advertising whatever hunky soup equivalent it's because he is the quarterback of the cowboys because he's the quarterback of the cowboys commercial you seeing. Sean Lien child he'd been there forever and all he he does is get slaughtered on by Joe Book and Troy Eight and this is one of the things that they mentioned in the story is at other ages brought up. A lot of players brought up is this is something that applies to certain level of star that the cowboys aren't going to let go anyway so yeah. Dak Prescott can get money that he probably could not get playing for another team. I don't know how much this applies to everybody else. The other thing I found interesting about this story this idea that you can go in his room and it's going to be on his business. People there and you can talk to and you can make some connections. Yo fellas be careful like you new football player no real business bag background in business you going in there with shorts. Those sharks have got to be like Oh yeah. Please put us in the room with these dudes. Please give me an opportunity and you figure how I can make money off this doing if they don't tell you agent or your business manager that's right and if you'll financial dude you're coming in here like the Jerry Sake. I'll be doing some real monitoring about who is leading into to that space because otherwise this could flip around to be bad for the place and Jerry himself like it is safe to say that he is shrewd that he is savvy. It is not verging to the level. I think that you're suggesting when it comes to the possibility those business people but in terms of the cowboys as this Grand American investment this experiment and capitalism. They're paying these guys. I believe they just signed a bunch of guys for about one hundred eighty seven million dollars right. How much did they pay to get this team around that and now it's worth five point five billion dollars more expensive than or highly value than the Yankees any soccer team like this. Is You face. Ob Business Genius and now he's trying to sell your ideals genius. Let's be careful here. I do. I do WanNa make at this point. Though if you demand just about any football team you're going to be around business people. They can put you into some situations like what Jerry is actually offering. I'm not sure is that much different than what you can get from anywhere else you play for the rams. I bet you can be some movie studio. People right there. We go coming up next the steelers better with Mason Rudolph Fair question. Let's see is going to be offered we. We don't feel that it they so they throwing out that after it it is something pounds because of you said he lost. I just like to know we live in Nigeria. That food was mad spicy. Look at Joe well here. You're still putting Nov All Africa Paul. You're looking at him like begging US look. That is a very good point and meanwhile yeah that's what I wanted to see. I wanted to see a thin embiid but I hope it works. Well actually think the steelers are in better position to succeed with Rudolf than they were with an injured thirty-seven-year-old Rob's Burger quarterback obey Roger Sherman of the Ringer about Mason Rudolph. Pablo Rudolph wasn't bad and his debut but do you think the steelers would be better with him. In Place Rothlisburger I think I think they will and it's because Ben Rothlisberger didn't look great. I mean the guy last year did lead the league in passing yards but also led the league and interceptions and this year he had had the bomb elbow so it's not much of a stretch to say that. Mason Rudolph will be better than him in the present tense. It's just that the rest of the team I also have massive questions of what we don't know what raw casillas Rudolph is and we don't know with Rothlisburger was going to be but it wasn't trending positively in the last couple of years of his so it is possible that as a Rudolph could be see that guy and look. He's got the physical tools. He was a good player in college in the steelers feel really good about him and they know more about him then the rest of us so. I don't think it's out of the realm the possibility that Mason Rudolph could be better. Keep this in mind and I'm not saying that he's this other guy but none of us would have thought man drew bledsoe's Outta here. They're gonNA be better with this. Brady Guy Guy. You know what I mean like that. Just say that this is going to be that dude or that. They'RE GONNA win the Super Bowl but it is possible that the guy they took to maybe be the quarterback of the future might be the quarterback in the future. No maybe the steelers for an office office. No stuff that nobody else really does but here are the concerns because beyond the defense being a problem beyond the wide receiver as being a problem. Dante moncrieff responsible for his one pick. Mason Rudolph is because of the bobbling of that pass. It's the fact that Mason Rudolph is going to be figured out and scouted by these teams and so what can you not do. Apparently he's incredibly we stationary far less than rothlisburger. Any loves play action because that is something that has been really effective with him when teams figure that out we'll we see a performance like we did his debut. I just want to make this right fast. Yes maybe teams may figure it out but if you knew that stuff they do does it the all right all right. We didn't get it. The secret is going to sound like total body. What if the stuff that worked is like a novelty. What happens when it becomes less than one right forty six? That's the number of injections at the bills home opener last year team. Officials are warning fans about their behavior. If you're ahead of this week's home opener against the bengals so Bomani the bills are to know. How successful do you think they'll be the season l. No we'll see I mean they actually have a good chance to start start off a little bit of schedule to go off on a decent assuming Josh Allen could keep playing like a competent. NFL quarterback but anyways you WanNa talk about you. WanNa talk about these people that I'd never hang out with. I do want to go shots autumn man. That's over there in the corner. I got a lot of questions and I'm just wow okay cool. Laws you enjoying yourself there buddy. They put out forty six people in game one last year. I don't know if these folks really fear authority in that right way right I mean. I don't know if they're going to be that but the bills have a fair point here. This isn't isn't a good look like I understand why they don't want us to think of this when they think of their football team but the bad news is this is all I think about when I think of their football team team and that's with all due respect given to Josh Allen who's looking way better than either of us thought but this is what gets me this gets me. Bomani about this plan the baby. Oh no wait what what's going to happen here. Oh but anyway the reason they're doing this. The reason they're concerned because that stuff is happening and so what's the solution. They're we're going to charge nine hundred dollars to bring a boss that can carry sixty people now. You're the math guy on this. Show that works out to what fifteen eighteen dollars a person does that sound like an incentive a disincentive for these people throwing babies through tables to not do that. Oh it is not the disincentive tip income all man. We know the fuel behind. All this stuff and drank drank was folks. Get out there and start sipping on Drake Drake. They wanted to places where they got. All the Dragon. Okay drank. It'd be cold outside late in the year and how you go to war yourself up with a jacket no would a fifth golden but the drag he drank is not merely effective in the ways you you described. It's something that the police seemingly are like. Oh Yeah. That's the drink drink..

"So today on high noon Levian Bell is handing out apologies to fantasy football owners and we'll also examine the spike Murray hiding out near the heavyweight champion says he doesn't want to be so heavy. He wants to be right. I suppose us but we will start with the clippers who for now are called the clippers but they plan to move into a futuristic new arena in twenty twenty five five and they might overhaul the teams aesthetic new logo new colors even a new nickname. We have a once in a lifetime chance to step really steph our identity up another level level owner. Steve Bomber says Pablo. How do you feel about the clippers by another name. There is still the clippers and for me. It's not so much about a name in any of this. It's about the product. The Lakers acres are the Lakers there are no lakes anywhere in Los Angeles. They have a history or on a show that is called high noon. It's not noon right now where we are however what's the bomber wants to do it seems is hit hard reset on this organization because he has the power to do so because he has lots of new ambitions in so that's part of the plan and I do get it on that basic level. Was I going to accomplish if they do the time to wash the clipper nece off of the Clippers was twenty fourteen if you were going to do that do that when you bought all the team you were getting. Donald Sterling out of there they have reached a point now where clippers is not associated with being terrible. Clippers is not associated with being the most embarrassing franchise is in the N._B._A.. So they could wind up changing the name and doing something else but I feel like most of the heavy lifting has been accomplished especially considering this. They've built this team to win a championship really in the course the next two or three years if they win that as the clippers you're not changing the name. That's the part that matters here is about what is going on with the basketball as you said I.. I don't think they can possibly change the name if they win a championship but then again. I also thought if Kawhi Leonard won a championship in Toronto. Maybe he would not go anywhere else. I do feel like this is a team not the same but I do feel like this is a team that looks at precedent and says why do we have to follow that in general but I do think there's also a danger here right a danger in and what is the next name going to even be because for all of these stink associated historically with the clippers Bomani clippers right now it works. It's fine people get it like I think the focus group experiment might actually lead to something. Perhaps even more humiliating yeah but I mean their name has never been a problem. The problem has never then being called delivers the problem when it was a problem was that you were the clippers you are not the clippers anymore. Okay also worth noting Steve Bommer. You look up is wiki pages..

"So today on high noon apparently Ben Simmons is actually attempting to suit and nobody wants to you but we have an idea. I have an idea for call it also we'll talk about what it means and when you are the number one most valuable sports franchise without having won a super bowl in twenty four speaking of which actually we'll start today in Dallas with Ezekiel Elliott who's rumored holdout remains a referendum on not just the cowboys but but the running back as a species twenty four year old Elliot Threatens To sit if he does not get the new extension he wants meanwhile the cowboys also have Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper and some other people expecting the exact same thing so Bomani. How much leverage leverage does this hypothetical hold out even give Elliott over the cowboys in two thousand nine hundred if he's willing to Miss Games a lot by I haven't seen anything to indicate to me that they have been better offensive player than him? They haven't done anything to indicate that they don't have that they have any more or important offensive player than him. This seems to be the engine around this whole thing right so if he's willing to go to the mattresses and he's willing to miss a couple of games of said his voice say it again. Maybe the most effective holdout we've seen emmitt Smith in nineteen ninety-three where he take urban got his money Troy Aikman got money and they weren't trying to give the money to amit he sat he missed those two games and he ultimately got what he want but if this is just going to be I'm going to scare them. You will not scare them. You have to be willing to Miss Games and if he is this can work and those two games you mentioned with Emmett Smith two losses and that was something that scared the cowboys back then straight and in this case I also think about the guy who has maybe as much to lose his anybody based on the early part of a season which is Jason Garrett. I imagined there is no person more invested in Zeke Elliott coming back than Jason Garrett. Jason Garrett is already. The Guy who was apparently calling DeMarco Murray with DeMarco Murray was on the plane to Philly after the cowboys made clear. They weren't gonNA give them all that money. Jason Garrett desperately wanted to bring that running back back now with Ezekiel Elliott. You Have Jason Garrett as the lame duck coach. He has no guarantee. He'll be here beyond this season. That guy seems to I would imagine one the best player on his team we built. It's offense around back more than anywhere yeah well. Dak Prescott probably wanted more than even Jason Garrett does because his his payday is looming. I don't know when that's GonNa come through but it doesn't sound like his negotiations have been going the way that he wanted them to go anyway a lot of money the Dak Prescott is going when to get has to do with the presence of Ezekiel Elliott so Zeke is not as they're not they're rather and the offense is sputtering. It doesn't make life any easier for that guy either but the cowboys made an interesting decision in all of this they took Elliott number four when they took him in the draft. They built this thing around him. They stumbled into a quarterback with Dak Prescott. Remember they were trying to go up to get Paxton Lynch in the first round and he got lucky and guide Dak Prescott in the middle of that draft then they make this move to get Amari Cooper. You have to pay cooper because all the things you did to get them. You GotTa Pay Prescott because he is a quarterback but even from the day you drafted Elliott. You knew this is our guy..

There are dudes playing in the big three who are taking this seriously who are trying to use this as their springboard to get to something else and if they feel like these cats for whatever reason we're not bringing it then for you to maintain some semblance of order you do have to have some punishment mechanism which has to be extra tricky when you're dealing with millionaires playing in a summer three on three like how do you get them to act the way that you want them to act because I say this. I hear that these dues why don't get punished and I'm like what is it two thousand three right well. This is the weird thing where ice Q. Man. He's somehow this David Stern in figure. This is the guy who owns the Dick's, you know, that this is the guy who owns today it's worse than I was against how they did Charles Oakley. But in this case, the guy is simply saying thing that every Knicks fan agrees with in a way. I don't have any evidence to indicate that I just know that you put him under this microscope that is New York City. Oh, yeah. Make that happen. "Like why does the fact that they did this? Make you say it's okay. Lead all malign globalizing to people in the history of the leave. I'm sure there are more normal, right? Because you know of any of them that you ain't got to go. This bar this preposterous. This is ridiculous. I am hoping so much. Booger was joking because the big thing about it is he used that Royal, we'd right we would do. I talked to a defensive line today who made it clear report. It was just book. He. Somebody else got to sit on that bench. Think about that for a second while you out here defending that unsanitary. Hey, now the reason why would ever disagree with booger on this is simply that Odell Beckham. Junior, I tried. I spent some time trying to convince him to drink more water, and now he finally got hydrated. He finally had to go and relieve himself, and I do worry that Boogers coming on a little too strong for a guy who just came to terms with the fact that water is good for. Yeah. Let me ask you questions about your your Roger's father. The LeBron James is not Joe tar. Now you're, you're just father who I'm sure had to come around at the fact of you doing this job in the first place rather than being a doctor or something that was, how does your urologist father field hearing you talk about? No big deal urinating on yourself. I imagine in the world of urology, they tell people don't do that because this nasty problem in the world of your allergy. They just install a catheter. I mean, that's all right. Well, you know what? Send them Boogers phone number because apparently he's in the market. Dad got a new fines, a patient. Guess what they call it in medicine. You should be ashamed of everything. You just said that last last quote. They helped me up. Said, top college, basketball recruit Darius Bazeley after he was guaranteed one million dollars by new balance to be an intern for three months as part of his shoe contracts yet accepted an offer from Syracuse, but the committed in March. So Bo, is this going to be a trend? Well, what part of we talking about being trained like seriously? Like, what are we saying? I think we're asking about the new balance end of things. We shoe companies offer deals to promising prospects like the guy behind. Okay. So what we have here by the way, this is a promising prospect, but this is not somebody that people think is going to set the fire, right? Like he's not. He's not that sort of player, but what is he already decided that he wasn't going to go to Syracuse, decided it wasn't worth it. He's going to train on his own personally, talked about going to the g. league to do his own training with Mike mill. Right, right, right. In order to get there, right. So if he's going to get a shoe deal, it's understandable that it would pay out what's cool about it is the chart show because he's learned some business stuff there, but it's a cool story. I don't think it's a revolutionary one. Well, as revolutionary. Zafar is that this is Rich, Paul and LeBron James behind the scenes further eroding the g. league as this place of interest. It's also admittedly something that really only new balanced can do because new balance doesn't have deals with all these colleges. So guess what they can all these bridges. "They'd have problems starting to wonder, just how good this team will be this year. So the free throws here are a genuine. The fascinating thing simply because the Brown isn't good at shooting free throws in that scenario, Tom Haberstroh our friends at a story, twenty seventeen where he found out that LeBron tried eighteen different like mechanics before he shot his free throws. It's been a problem for him for a couple of years now, but both that's not the reason why the Lakers should be worried. You're not worrying about him the word about the defense because the Spurs who were starting the Brin Forbes that neither of us have heard of before ended up dropping many points and they can't really play small ball win. Dude. Javale McGee is the key to your defense, and that's all they got now, one thing we don't know what the Spurs are, right. Let us all be clear, but the Spurs top players still pretty good, right? Rosen and Aldridge and both of them bald out in because it is good. Now, my thing route look at the Lakers is in eastern games, three losses teams that might make the playoffs in all. All of them were close. The defense is a visible, but couple possessions in both of these games that we're talking about there being three, and we're asking the question is whether or not they're legitimate championship threats. Like that's where we are. We're three games into an NBA season and by the way they were down last night Rondo and Ingram because you know, yes, pensions. And I would say that if teams want to play the small ball thing like this is why dream on green is so unique. He can be the guy at center, ten LeBron do that. Maybe he can join the postseason. "G. legal offer lead prospects, one hundred twenty five thousand dollar contracts, Bo. What is your reaction to that? Well, in hearing it again, one thing that jumps out and we don't talk enough about is the idea. They have a Mack salary and the WNBA eight, right? Like I don't understand why they, how would you do with the idea that there's a MAC salary and the WNBA is crazy, and it adds to what the insult is. WNBA players where minor league men's players are being treated better than those who are professionals in the WNBA, like top level professionals in the WNBA. So that's the part that jumps out to me. And I understand again, why WNBA players had the problems that they have rights, and if you are the WNBA you have an opportunity to make all of this rhetoric actionable. Talk their CVA expires on Tober thirty. First, everything we understand about this lead. Me to believe that the people who are saying this stuff, Gina enter Polly's. Will they do the thing that the NBA players do not do and actually step away from the table and say, we need to get the respect that you say that you want to give us. "I've said this before on this show, this is the worst kept secret in the league that Scott Perry, the the Knicks was an executive with the SuperSonics when they drafted k. d. katie's manager, rich climate is a lifelong Knicks fan. All of these things point to a guy wanting to flip a switch that changes the narrative on him on franchisee going to end the Nixon, by the way, the Knicks would be a top five team in the east. If he were to show up, it's just a fact. Yeah, the only thing that we change the narrative, but also part of change that narrative is going for a team that was winning championships to play for the Knicks. That is as significant one. Now also keep this in mind that Chris Haines was saying that he sees a similar allure than. Going to the Lakers. There was a similar award going to the Knicks for Kevin Durant, and I want to know what the hell allure means, because apparently I have a misunderstanding of what this is like. Yeah, the Lakers have been sorry recently next miss, sorry for like twenty years. Oh, you're in New York. Take a whiff. The allure is all around us. It's all over me. I am going to be so insufferable. If we get Kevin Durant, the Cologne. It will be a win contingent on his decision, which we, I think, you know. But yeah, man, they're going to be good. And I think for Zingo back, wait till he gets his first taste in New York media. He ain't Bill. Gerner Bill burners. Next name levian Bill Bill plants, plaque Tober twenty eighth against the Browns steel off the line as Marcus Gilbert seems excited, but also a little reserved. Here we go. I wish we haven't back today. Why is he taking so long? Yeah. Why wouldn't you come back here be around the guys in the eye. We're all waiting for him. Did be dead blow do since guys like Marcus Gilbert, holding a grudge against Bill. Why don't he want me men that is exactly what's happening here. They want to know that they're co worker who they know in their heart of hearts is so much more valuable than they are. They just want to know that he thinks of them that he'll look them in the eye that they will address them as something at least pretending to be equals. They know that when Levy on bell comes back, they're going to be a way better team. They just want to feel better about themselves in the prospect hill address them when he gets back there. If they're hanging out during the bye week because he's going to clock in for that week where there is no work right like that is going to happen. Now. Other guys that were just like, I think about until it gets here, which is probably the best approach they could have, but I'll never forget this man Ramon foster those Catholic Ramon fosters the one that's into we're the ones that made this happen for him right talking about the offense of line. We're the ones who did that fellas what y'all do for Jay. Conor, right? Because it seems that everybody's looked around and realize, you know what? Maybe this levian bell guy matters a whole lot in anybody that thinks there's lingering beef. No, no, no, no. They go, come Figel, scream it out and it is going to be, let's go get these. Yes. And do you think the offensive line just rewatching game one on guard? Men, look what we can do that unified real. We'll do. We do. We do just fine without you very good. He's going to get there now. It will be interesting. Now I want to know more about what exactly Levy on Bill told him prior to make everybody feel that they're owed some measure of expiration because it does seem that he told us media when he was coming back and didn't let anybody on the team don't know any of it. But if you're at home and then you see his like on the jet ski in Miami rally, feeling like a great teammate at that point. You also might just the a hater. "First of all feels impossible because of the way politics are social issues, permeate every aspect of our lives and didn't used to. But also I think if you went back and you looked at how many people were excluded from the conversation or we're not invited to the conversation two decades ago, you would understand why some people say that was the good old days when it was just sports, and then you'd certainly if you actually took the time to look at it, understand why others would say that was as much of an agenda of exclusion. What you think now our our desire to include exclude you from. Hard to get people to see so that they don't think that the very nature of a person of color or an Asian man or a woman in this industry is a statement of some kind. Yeah, no people people like to, you know, I think of the identity politics conversation a lot because identity politics is used as a term to stigmatize and to, you know, refer to people who are not in the majority. It used to refer to them like bringing other stuff diluting. What should be conversation about x. with all of your y and your z. and that's just about you, and it's about your feelings and blah, blah, blah. And like to me all of this. I mean, this isn't my own original take. I think a lot of people have arrived at this point of realization, but all this is at entity politics. Right? The opposite. The idea that we would only do straight down the middle. No. Knowledge of the larger world, knowing knowledge of big picture debates, arguments or ideas or issues. All of that is also identity politics. It is the other end of the spectrum and the idea that if entity politics maybe hard to grasp because wait a minute, my identity isn't straight down the middle sports. I'm that's not identity. That's just my passion or my interest, but the fact that you see it as something that doesn't need those other elements angles flavors from other people's experience. That is your identity. You know, it's, it's the, you know, we get into all of these sort of like Bose wordy, things about, you know, identity politics and who's being triggered and and PC culture and blah, blah, blah. And the reality is, I would say that people underestimate whether you are a woman, whether you are a minority, go down the list of people who are in a smaller population than the mind. The majority, I would say that people under. Estimate how much of that is not at all political by any sort of strict political definition. Like we're not talking about tax cuts. We're not talking about what should we be doing about North Korea. We're simply bringing to bear experience and our own angle on things that's informed inevitably by who we are and if it's jarring, and if that does feel like an invasion of entity politics, it's because you did not interact with people of that identity in this way before, and that is what is jarring uncomfortable. And so maybe it is uncomfortable by the way. I'm not saying that people are not actually uncomfortable. I'm just saying whether those people's discomfort should be prioritized over those angles and thoughts. And yes, feelings that come about when you are not of the dominant group, that's just how life kind of. Yeah, absolutely. Well, and let's spin to a different kind of juxtaposition or or different look at something that's jarring and it's completely opposite, but it's something that's also relevant to your show and that you've had to think about a lot in. That's like how it looks in what you're trying to do. That's different. That's eight cameras and unique production techniques shooting in twenty four frames per second that that music you started out with its sort of gone away talking to each other instead of the viewer. There are so many ways that this show high noon was sort of asking people to adjust what they think television is in sports. Television is. How long do you give people to adjust and how do you know whether you're jarring them just for the sake of it and not to to a greater end. So we encountered this very explicitly when it came to our first show, and one of the things we really look forward to doing that, Eric was very passionate about that..

"And we've done this because you haven't gotten in trouble getting knock on wood, but we can talk about sports that we can actually like get into a show that has twenty sports topics. If that was her bona fides, they're established that we can have fun and bring that intelligence and energy there. And then when the topic does call for us to talk about capper Nick or. Ever else or the anthem or anything, which we have also done that. That's not the number one thing people think of us for, which is, you know us being our own heads a little bit, but also us understanding the strategy of, you know the reality of how delicate and quote unquote polarizing. These topics are, let's prove that we can do the stuff that people think is not our strength and show that we can actually do that really well. And so hopefully we've done that. You mentioned sort of the coordinating producers and the New York DC balance for those who might be interested in this. Can you sort of quickly give us the what a day looks like in terms of where you start with a call or a document when you meet and and go to Aaron, all of that. And I know it changes now that it's no longer high noon. It's high for PM, but I asked known and it's now three minutes instead of sixty, but sort of an approximation for someone wondering because I think a lot of people are surprised to hear that around the horn tapes. A couple of hours early and that we have in the morning. They're like, oh, I didn't realize. When you have show like that, that's like half your day. By the time you've done the cord. The whatever. It's not just twenty two minutes of your time. Yeah, and that's the other thing about it. I'm glad you brought that up is that this can I mean as much as enjoyable and what we look forward to end the dream that in some ways we've been working towards for however long like it is tiring like it takes energy to. About say that anybody should be weeping for us because it's an amazing opportunity to to to have, but but it is. It is a whole day and it is most of the day. And so everything gets pushed back given that we are now moving to high afternoon. But the basic premise is after the show ends Ryan Cortez one of the producers. I aforementioned and I left various people in DC is name out of the conversation. So if they're out there just know that I love them, but but the idea is in New York, Ryan will start a Google doc right after the show ends for the next day. And then it begins to be populated for the rest of the day. And so by that evening by, I would say, like realistically around eleven pm both Amani and I have committed to at least putting our thoughts into the Google doc about all of the topics they're in, whether we like it, whether we don't sometimes mission of commentary is an indication of indifference, which is to say that we don't want that topic in there, but we will put the thoughts that occurred. Immediately. So we're not thinking about this in depth. We're not like, or at least I'm not. I very much doubt but money is, but we're basically giving our jerk responses to this is something that I think would work for this reason. This is what I'm interested in saying both. So the producers can see it until the other person can also get a sense of where you may want to go or what angle on it. You may wanna take because our conversations as people have watched, the show may have noticed tend to start off very open. And then we just sort of follow each other down the rabbit hole. So basically by seven PM we wanna have our comments and the Google doc. By the next morning, by the time we wake up or by the time we get into work, we want that Google doc to be structured and blocked. So not to say that this is a final, but here are, you know, maybe the number of topics in the block plus two..

"Started high noon. Nine am Pacific is brought to you by TD Ameritrade. Yeah, to me about us by the NBA. Which ones do talk about barbecues. They want people want these barbecues. Eddie go nearly the way I expected. It was a great line. Great. I'm pretty sure I would surprise you call the barbecues. You're from New York. All right. I quote I needed to act to protect my teammates and myself from imminent hall. Thon maker of his rolling roll between Australia and Philippines, hurting number three guys, suspension Bob low. Do you appreciate his explanation? This smiling is has made a great effort at diplomacy here, but the problem with mister maker self defense is that we have video. We are trying so hard just to run this video. He have gotten so much mileage out of this is the one place where you're like, Alveda presence. Philipino dropping this hand over and over again. Now THAAD maker. He's offscreen, but is what part of that. Seems I mean, by the way, being good certify flight soccer hand, like what a strange play there was at the end him doing some combination of a streetfighter invitations. Last Chan whole park does not seem to jive with what robbing in his on though. Sometimes you got to keep peace by fighting the war. So right there, all these doing is keeping Filipino players off south being a home Republican. Kept the Filipino players off at that point where he did it there, the stray Williams. We're the ones who started, but he still had to address j. flash drive. Defend this. Then he got a loose witted number two sucker about away. 'cause number two hit him when he wasn't looking at Iran away when he came, oh, how dare you defend that? Say, don't know. But I, what would. Green say about that behavior. That was a light light slap in the just because he can't find me wouldn't try years. Wow. That I can understand that that wasn't even so much kick as it was an attempt to ride the back of Andrei Blatch, but he's trying to protect his teammates and himself from imminent harm because he also blamed the security forces in that arena, I would just like to say once and for all thank you to those security forces for being so terrible and thank you. Yours as rank you. You're welcome America. Exactly. Now you have a sense of the three dimensionality of the Filipino people to your security based in cutting edge, including Andrea Blanch, mostly Andrea flesh. I guess I'll give them my jersey number. Said Kyle crews MMA about the bronze sons Ronnie LeBron James junior wearing his number zero when an NBA two case in relation that was reposted by LeBron created by shady's zero zero zero, eighteen on Twitter. What do you read into this? That was five digits on that. There were five digits saying somebody, Russia, trying to discord, if not, for the hand crafted quality of video that I wanna show you. You might make that conclusion that's roll that tape. Please LeBron plane with brawny on the Lakers and NBA two k. wow, that looks a lot like brawny I'd be. Be the production values on this. Thanks shave, zero zero zero. What say that's not a long LeBron Laker career ano- problem with it is it's also vetting on like little brawny being late first round, pick. It's also on the Brian James, maintaining some amount of refusal to go home into. There's this would be the fear for Kyle Kuzma. I mean, they did give them your jersey. They they, but understand this unless you are pretty all star by their point air real life, they'll give go jersey for brawny to, hey, let me tell you there is going to be no one safe on that roster. There's a chance to acquire brawny LeBron still ball it. One of the things that's most viscerally exciting to me about this simulated video is that now I don't have to imagine what life is going to be like once LeBron James senior retires, we're never going to have to go a day without a LeBron James in our life. This. Family will remain be sawn of our universe. And I am so thankful to shady's zero zero zero eighteen for a minding me of as and also like to note for broadly, I don't think you wanna be on LeBron's team. I think you'd rather play against LeBron here's the difference. Here's a different tack. If you play against LeBron you play him somewhere between two and four times a year and the regular season, maybe the postseason..
