"He goes. Foot on the gas all the way touchdown San Francisco. San Francisco proves to an 18 point wild card victory. Seattle's defensive errors are microcosm of an inconsistent season. I totally have to own that. This is me not getting it right fast enough. Pete Carroll's defense suffered from season ending injuries to Jamal Adams and Jordan Brooks, growing pains with a pair of rookie corners and offensive linemen. What'll happen is that all the noise will quiet for them and their vision will expand and things will slow down and all of those normal things that happen are such a value gain for us as a group. Sunday, players cleared out lockers at Renton team headquarters. Linebacker Cody Barton finding reward in exceeding many expectations. A lot of people didn't think, you know, this team would do much. And to exceed that. And we knew it the whole time, you know, inside. But just to do the things that we've done, and even though it is over, like I've said, to continue building on that, you know, I mean, it means a lot. Tight end, Noah fan had joined his first Seattle season, a trade that brought him from Denver and his message to the 12. Just thank you. You know, obviously ups and downs throughout the year. But it was a great season and a lot to build off of. Important decisions for Seattle's front office, whether to sign quarterback Geno Smith to a long-term free agent deal. Miss a big deal to us, and so this couldn't be more typical by the way the whole thing turned out and

"Tied for the most in the NFL. So Mina, what do you expect this Broncos offense to look like with Russ under center with all of those different faces from the coordinator position and head coach position that I mentioned as well? I expect it to look like how it looked like in Seattle. I know that's not exciting to a lot of people who want to see a different Russell Wilson, but at this point in his career, I think we know what to expect from him because in Seattle, he did go through different offensive coordinators and had different offensive lines and had pretty good skill players and running back very good. I would argue over the years. You're going to see a beautiful default. Arguably one of the best in the NFL. Quarterback can make great decisions, these accurate at all three levels. You're also going to also going to see a quarterback who doesn't really use the middle of the field and will take a lot of sex, even with a better offensive line. Russ is who Russ is. And that's a top quarterback in the NFL. I want to be clear. I just don't expect any dramatic change. Yeah, I look at this situation in Russia be able to square up against any team in the NFL because he supported shout out to our brother rad Clark independent. Listen, man, this is this is all this is in some of the same vein of Russ's early success, a really good run game and a really good defense and everybody knows that it was Marshawn Lynch and the legion of boom and we talked about this process leading up to Russell Wilson signing with the Broncos. They have everything they need to be legitimate contenders outside of the quarterback spot. Javonte Williams is a button star. He's going to be really good and a big help to Russell Wilson and not to mention I don't think he gets enough credit for his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield in his yards out the contact and devonte Williams. The running back is phenomenal. And then you go to the other side of the ball to be supported in that way as well. All season long. We talked about it at Mina's expense of how bad the Seattle defense was during the season. He's going to be supported by that as well. He's in a great situation, and he's the answer to what they needed in them. You know, Laura, when we started this conversation, you mentioned how it's a first time head coach, first time offensive coordinator and a first time defensive coordinator in Denver, and sometimes we do the single return to project how coaches are going to scheme things up or look when they're elevated to a new role for the first time. And you sit here think to yourself a swag who said, good running game in Denver, solid enough offensive line. It's very good defense. What did Nathaniel Hackett do at the height of his offensive coordinator career? Well, the answer is back in 2017, he helped the Jaguars to the AFC championship game with an excellent rushing attack. So part of your instincts are like, hey, maybe Nathaniel Hackett wants to follow some of the scripts that have worked in the past. They had a good running game in Green Bay last year as well, but then I sort of settle back in and I think to myself, they didn't trade for Russell Wilson with conjured draft capital plus a good player in Noah fan and Shelby Harris and drew lock is part of the deal as well to not go out there and air it out. So this team has the potential to win games with that running game and with that defense as well. But I keep coming back to the idea that in this division especially, the defense matters, but if you're not scoring 25, 27, 30 points a game, to me me and it feels like you're just gonna follow yourself or just fall right back down into the basement, which is where Deborah has been too frequently in recent years. Yeah, I think it would be a mistake for Hackett to play it too safe with Wilson, which is frankly a mistake we saw Seattle make at times over the years. But I do want to hit that defense because it really shouldn't be overlooked in this division. I know the Chargers made a lot of really sexy signings and there's a chance certainly that they're better than Denver. But when you look at the Broncos death chart, you see a lot of really solid role players at every level, not just the names, you know, like Justin Simmons, one of the best safeties in the NFL, patch their tan the second, who is well on his way to being one of the best corners, but signings like DJ Jones, excellent nose tackle out of San Francisco, Josie drew, one of the most underrated run stuffing linebackers in the NFL super solid tackler. And then even like a guy like K one Williams demand the slot, and these are just really good players at every level and they look to me like, if not the best, one of the most complete defenses in the league. No, it was interesting. I saw the Broncos week 18 last year and just even in that game talking to Justin Simmons leading into the game talking about the pride they have in that defense. They knew they weren't playing as well as they thought they could, but they also knew they were capable of a lot more and also felt like they were just a quarterback away. And we're just getting started on NFL live. Yeah, yeah, well, that helps too. Coming up. What I want to say to the young women today and we have fabulous, you know, activists and women with a lot of power and smarts and legal training. There are still so many ways that women and girls are disadvantaged and not given the same opportunities. We aren't given everything that the guys have. We have to keep fighting. Throughout the month of June, ESPN presents 50 50 honoring 50 years of title 9 and the women moving the world forward. We're back on NFL live with Jags mandatory mini camp starting today, but Jacksonville did excuse all the vets for mini camp. Marcus spears thoughts on that. Oh wee, the player in me, the form of veterans says, I love Doug, Peterson, more than I thought I knew. And then the other part is I would like for them to be there as the guy that's gotta be like responsible in an all and more mature in my age now and say that even if they don't do anything there, it would be good to be around the young players, but I get it. I would like them to be around. I would like that leadership presence to be there during many camp. But the player in me says, Jack, I appreciate some more days that I don't have to be at the facility. You're so mature now, Marcus, but when I saw this, I thought of you immediately and thought, oh wow, somewhere a swagger was smiling. Trevor Lawrence, by the way, looking to bounce back from a difficult rookie season. Lawrence threw 17 interceptions last season, that's tied for the most in the NFL. He ranked last in yards per attempt. However, Lawrence is supporting cast could be much improved this season. In addition to hiring a new head coach and Doug Peterson, who swag, who loves now, the Jack work spent over a $192 million in guaranteed money on free agents. That's the most in a single off season in NFL history. It makes you raise your eyebrows a little bit too. When you think about Travis ATN coming back as well from injury, could be a nice weapon there for Lawrence too. Mina, what will success look like for Lawrence this season? Because I think it's a bit.

"Helped him out and he went on and on about that, the memorable games, the top quarterbacks he's faced, it was really enlightening and he came prepared to talk and live with the fact that he really hasn't done a press conference anywhere talking about his 17 year outstanding career. And I got to tell you, maybe it's because I haven't seen the wild chefy, but his beard was looking glorious on the zoom that you guys can. We talked about that to feel about it. Everybody go check out the Adam Schefter podcast, a must listen. Weekly, let's keep things moving here to a different quarterback same division, though. Giants quarterback Davis Webb, one of the breaking big blue podcasts, talk about giant turning quarterback Daniel Jones, because big highly enough by the way, Jordan run on, he hosts this podcast. You know, Daniel is a competitive competitive dude that's super smart, just as far as core backup been around. Daniels is the most on. I would on it when it comes to meetings and have an answer as having questions. Especially with a new offense, you know, it's been pretty special to watch to be honest with you. You know, he has a high, high, high ceiling, I think. I think Dave's and che are gonna help him and Mike and I have him reach it. Dan, do you see a high ceiling for Daniel Jones? No, I never have. No one's ever questioned if Daniel Jones had a great work ethic or was incredibly smart. I think the questions have always been can you and will you play as smart as you are? We haven't seen that in the NFL. Will you fix your number one fatal flaw, which is panicking with the football. We haven't seen that in the NFL. And to his defense, the Giants have not done enough to allow him to reach whatever his ceiling is, but his intelligence has never been in question. We got Seahawks Twitter in the house. There's Mena cons, of course, on the show, so they like most days. Noah fan, the new Seahawks tight end spoke highly of joining their style of offense. Here's what he had to say. I like granted this is from just like a month month coming in, but I like the way they use the tight ends. I like the way we get passing concepts down the field. The run game, obviously it's going to be all built off the run game, which is a huge part of the game, and obviously the play action is going to be huge. So it's a very balanced offense, which I like, and it's very favorable to the tight end. So it's nice. Mina, do you like the projection here for this offense? I like the projection for Noah fan, and I think if you listen to what he just said, he basically described as Sean mcvay offense. Of course, Seattle's offensive coordinator, Shane waldron, comes from that tree with the rams, came to the Seahawks last year, wasn't able to run all of those concepts with Russell Wilson and while obviously I do believe there's going to be a downgrade at quarterback. I do think a tight end like no offense will benefit from the schematic of evolution. Yeah, fun player has a lot of untapped potential. How about them? Jaguars? Trevor Lawrence wrote the media after their team OTAs is after to talk about their offensive game plan for this year. It's been really smooth, I think. Everybody's on the same page, which is good. I think the way they built the staff is everyone has a similar, not everyone's going to think the same. Obviously, you need that diversity to be able to put you in the best position to win. But everyone's on the same page and you can tell it's very seamless and also to when people talk, it's not everyone trying to say their opinion, you know, it's kind of people pick and choose and I think they do a good job of communicating beforehand. So when we get into meetings, they kind of know exactly what they're all thinking and they're all on the same page. So I can watch the Jaguars be focused on this off season. One, I like the fact that Trevor said they on the same page because last year they had more pages than the Watergate report. And then the second part is Travis Etienne coming back, right? Like, you think about his report that he had in college. People were super excited about this tandem, getting drafted together. ATN suffered an injury which he wasn't mad about after he saw what surface in Jacksonville Doug Peterson comes in, who is going to use his bags and mature a young quarterback as far as playing the game. I like what Trevor said. Same page. No more drama, like Mary J. Blige. If you had a Watergate reference on your NFL live bingo card, you're in luck. So the eagles made a major splash and training for wide receiver AJ Brown this off season. But Brown has already seen that second year wide out devonte Smith could go from an understudy to an equal running mate very soon. He's a really good ride running, you know? Guys early on in their career, like fresh air, you're too developer, you know, and he can run every round in the route tree. It's just a little few on the things that, you know, of course, we all can get better at and that just keep tuning up our game and keep developing. So I think the sky's the limit for smitty. You know, so I'm excited for you too. I'm excited to still be texting. In my opinion, smithy is a wide receiver for one. And he going against a cornerback number two. Like I expect this meeting to dominate, you know? So just taking pressure off each other and even being on the same side, you know, so you can't really double or, you know, so. That's great having another great wired out beside you. Dan, how does the addition of AJ Brown help devonte Smith in this offense? It helps. Something stood out to me though when AJ Brown was talking when he said that he has every route in the route tree, 'cause I think the eagles offense goes as far outside of Jalen hurts, I get that as far as jaylen or devonta Smith growth this year. I really believe this as a quarterback, when you have a receiver that can run any route out of the route tree, that's when they become a scheme changer. Because that's when defenses have to go, if Devante Smith is over there. And he can run 8 9 different routes out of his split in breakers outbreakers hook ups. That's when you start to see teams go, we gotta double them. We gotta play the corner outside leverage and drop the safety down on the inside leverage. Or we gotta bracket them and have a guy on either side at the same level because that's when you get all those one on one matchup opposite him. And if Devante Smith becomes that I can run whatever route I want right now and win, that's when AJ Brown really starts to dominate. And as a play caller for a guy like Nick Siri and AJ Brown hinted to this in the quote as well guys when he said, if you put us on a same side, now what is the defense do? 'cause if you're Jalen hurts, I'm watching you going, okay, you got to kick everything that way. Then Dallas Goddard gets to eat. Or miles Sanders away. If you put them on the opposite sides, where are you leaning? Maybe Goddard works the middle of the field. So as much as I love AJ Brown and his edition, the big body, if Devante Smith takes that jump in and he becomes that, you know, Antonio Brown type of winner as they come when it comes to route running, you can't stop this offense. I love so much about what Brown said there, Daniel highlighted a few of his comments. But one thing that jumped out to me was calling devonte Smith a number one wide receiver because the reality is when they're both on the field because of the impact that they make on defenses, they are both number ones in a manner speaking. Look, these two from a physical profile are about as different as two wide receivers can get in this league. We're talking red and stimpy. But they share something in common, which is they both are nightmares when singled up. They just use different ways of making that happen, AJ Brown, incredible against press, the size, the physicality, the speed, devonta Smith, the shiftiness, the beautiful releases he has, whatever corner whichever one of those wide receivers get single coverage, it's going to be a problem for opposing defenses, and then you throw in Dallas Goddard, who's a nightmare if you're playing man, suddenly there are a lot of problems for defenses. All right, swagger, you are a resident defender. How much is this trio of smitty and AJ Brown and also Dallas got her scare you? Scared of hell out of me. And look, from an individual standpoint, what Mina and Dan said not to reiterate, you can't cover these. It's a lot of receivers in the league. You can't cover one on one. The difference with these two guys, they're gonna bump their head on the goalposts. AJ brown's gonna.

"On the show today, so of course we're talking about him a crucial draft ahead of them. Someone here says the biggest question mark is someone they already have on their team and he just so happens to be their quarterback. We'll explain more on that later as we left them you into NFL live also the latest on Baker Mayfield situation coming your way in seconds, but you see him right there, keyshawn Johnson, Damien woody, Todd mcshay here with us Jeff Darlington will join us tons to get to guys. Let's begin with our top story and that would be Baker Mayfield. His appearance on the Y and K podcast has gained lots of attention. Is he still waits to find a landing spot in a path out of Cleveland, the options become slimmer by the day, the holding powder around the draft is a real thing. Here's some of the highlights of baker's revelations. I feel disrespected. A 100%. Because I was told one thing and they completed another. That's what I'm in the middle of right now. And you know what? Okay, I got my taste of it because I've had four different head coaches in four years, a bunch of different coordinators. I've had talk about the highs. They always come back. They always come back. But I had great times when my rookie year, like I didn't start in the beginning, I came in and got to have fun, the back half of the year, 2019 stuff, 2020 was great, made the playoffs. 2021 was miserable. It's like, yeah. I'm just looking for stabilization right now, and I know what I need to do for me to be the best version of me. And to be able to lead an organization. It Mayfield's career with the browns is over as expected. He will become just the third quarterback drafted first overall to last four or fewer seasons with his first NFL team. Over the last 50 years, the only other quarterbacks who fit that criteria JaMarcus Russell with the Raiders and Jeff George with the cult. So Todd, we start with you teams are honing in on quarterbacks right now with the draft around the corner. So what is baker's best opportunity? This is scary for Baker Mayfield Laura. I mean, it really is when you study the market and who's looking for quarterbacks, Carolina, we've talked about them in the draft of that number 6 pick. Atlanta, maybe at number 8, but more likely in the second round. Seattle two picks in the second round, or do they take one at 9? I don't even know that they want to go that route. They just signed a veteran, you've got drew lock coming in so you get drew lock and who you believe in if all indications and all the reports coming out of Seattle are true. And you've got to back up in Gino Smith. So beyond that Pittsburgh is the other team that we talk about in the first round. So Atlanta Carolina Detroit Pittsburgh and baker believes that he should come in as a starter. Tell me which situation that he could be hoisted into where he would automatically be the starter or have a really legitimate chance to be that starting quarterback. I would be frightened if I was Baker Mayfield right now and especially with Baker Mayfield's agent trying to find a landing spot for him. Yeah, the places are very limited as far as him being a starting quarterback. I don't think he has the fortitude to want to be a backup right now early in his career. He's had some mild success. Seattle is the best place for him. There's no question about it. I understand drew lock is there and Gino Smith just signed a one year deal. I'd better stack a dollar in a heartbeat that Baker Mayfield is better than both of those quarterbacks combined when healthy. He can do some things. Just think about the early stages of Russell Wilson, not middle aged Russell Wilson, not older veteran Super Bowl Russell Wilson, but I'm talking about early stages with a defense and a running game. You think about some of the offensive weapons that they have with DK Metcalf in the locket along with Noah fan that they just got in the trade with Russell Wilson. It makes all the sense in the world for him to pry himself away from the Cleveland Browns and beg the Seattle Seahawks to give him an opportunity in a chance. Yeah, listen, I'm gonna pick it back off of what he said. I think the Seattle Seahawks make a lot of sense for a lot of the points that Keith was talking about, but I think one aspect that we're not talking about and bringing up right now, which is crucial is the money that's owed to Baker Mayfield. We're talking about a guy who's guaranteed what 18 $19 million. You know, all the Seattle Seahawks are do they want to take on that type of money considering they're in a rebuild right now. So you got drew lock. You just signed re signed Gino Smith to be your backup quarterback. Are they going to want to take on that type of salary at the quarterback position if you're the Seattle Seahawks and you still have to pay DK Metcalf in the process? Right. This is why you get creative though Todd in woody. You get creative with Baker Mayfield and his contract situation. And I know you don't like to give money back and I said it yesterday and woody wanted to beat me up. I get it. You don't ever want to give money back. But you can get creative, all right? Let's just say hypothetically. He's at a $19 million number. He goes with Seattle. He tells them, I'll take a base salary of 10 million, however you get me there with a bunch of incentives that gets me back up to 18 million if I prove to you that I'm capable of IE, get you to the playoffs, win the division. There's a couple $1 million here there. And I'm betting on myself by doing that because $10 million in this marketplace nowadays for a top notch backup Todd. That's where he would fall in line, give it an opportunity to be distorted. But hey, hey, wait a second here. Dee wood, when key starts talking about giving his money back right there. You didn't like all that, did you? Because he knows this. He knows what he's talking about. Players giving back money. No, you're not giving back money. I mean, for a lot of, listen, I understand the reason what kids talking about is that you're trying to, if you're a baker made for you trying to get your ingratiate yourself to certain, you know, certain spots or whatever, but you know, we know this being former players, most guys, just not going to give back money that they know that they know they're coming their way. I get it, I get it, but I'm thinking big picture future. I'm not thinking it's small. Oh, I gotta put this in my I'm thinking prove to them so I can get this long-term deal in the grand scheme of things. I'm trying to get on right now. I'm desperate. I have nowhere to go. I need a landing spot. It's a crazy context when you put it that way. Hey, really fast. You said that you would bet a stack of dollars, the Baker Mayfield is the best quarterback in that Seattle room if he ends up there. Are we talking ones? Are we talking tens? Like, 20. I just said dollars. I didn't say anything about this. The baker. Is a small stack. All right. I'm still trying to get it all over the fact that keyshawn's talking about giving back money. Todd, it's never give back money to anyone. What happened to Keith? He's gotten soft in his older age. All right, let's welcome an ESPN in fighter Jeff Darlington here at Jeff. Take us through what else is happening in the NFL right now. There's a lot going on. Let's start with the Broncos. There is Laura, some legal semantics that we should discuss as it pertains to the Broncos and the potential sale of that team. The trustees of the pat Bolin estate and surviving members of the Edgar Kaiser junior state have reached a settlement that will bring the conclusion to their 38 year right of first refusal case. We don't need to go too far into the weeds on this, but what we can tell you is now the Broncos are free and clear to be sold at auction. So it shouldn't be long now before we finally know who the new owners will be of the Denver Broncos. Now the cults postings Stephon Gilmore on Wednesday and this is two years removed from when Gilmore was the NFL's defensive player of the year the first wave of free agency obviously has come and gum, Gilmore still on the open market. Obviously has a price tag for himself, similar to a guy like Tyrone Matthew, who simply doesn't just want to sign to sign. He'll take his time before making his decision. Sammy Watkins, on the other hand, will now be with the packers signing a one year deal up to $4 million. He lands with the packers to give them some much needed help at the wide receiver position, certainly not exactly devonta Adams, talent but walk in still very capable of being productive in the NFL. So now he'll do.

"Yeah, the rams case were brutal. But so he played badly the second half of the season into the playoffs, then at the beginning of the season looks really good. Then he got hurt than the rest of season bad. That's kind of the last year now. And he tried to come back from the injury to her. Too early, yes. Just a litany of problems. Just a comedy of errors, I believe. Is the term people use. But yeah, that's where you're bending on though. All right, if you're to Seahawks, you're going, okay, yes, you're never going to get enough for a franchise guy. It's just for what you tab as a franchise QB. You're just never going to feel like the right amount. That's why I was thinking they would get maybe one more pick as opposed to one fewer player, but it is what it is. How bad you want Satan? That would have been. So that's what I do. I said if they have grown in Satan, I think I could have talked myself into this. I said yes. Love it because of the how horrible the quarterback market is, ranging from the draft free agency to trades, which we'll talk about in a second. What are the CX options? But at least if they had acquired a core piece on defense an area that's been such a weakness for them, I could have said, okay, you got a core in here, you know? And he's a cheap and he's not a rookie deal and I love him. I like Noah fan. I think he's a good player, but he's not, he's not like a Sudan and chubby Harris, obviously, you know, in aging defensive stalwart type. So yeah, I think the return is underwhelming given the fact that there's still a gaping question mark at quarterback in maybe the worst quarterback market I can remember. Yeah, it'd be a really, this is this QB markets atrocious. I did thing with Greg Rosenthal's top a 101 free agents. And that was like the joke just going over all the quarterbacks. And then this draft is desolate of quarterbacks. It's a barren wasteland. But man, it's so funny how quarterbacks have become how NBA stars are treated in a sense. That's why I've kind of really looked at them as now. It's like they're the stars are worth their max deals. And that top 6 ish quarterbacks, 7 quarterbacks in the league. And then everybody else on the roster kind of becomes like a super role player as they are a basketball..

Those guys are getting the ball a ton each and every week and what it's done here is it's completely turned off season analysis in our offseason draft strategies on their heads because dak prescott over his last. Four games is dropping back less.

"Because he is on the irr. So i mean if i could steal him away. Maybe i give up Sterling shepherd. I throw in somebody with some potential in there Be added a tough decision but as far as value goes if i could get courtroom sutton for a second round pick. I would do that in an instant. He just i would too. Yeah he just. He's he's a big play threat. He's a big stronger sieber and he somebody that i can put on my lineup. And at least he's not gonna completely dud like as long as jerry judy's not back. He's still the number one target there. With noah fan. So i i would trade it a second round pick from now and kind of rely on him as a flex I might actually be making some offers after. We finished the episode. I do have But biased towards Whereas they don't have any shares jerry. Judy i loved the dude by it is so expensive. I feel like but yeah we. We're talking like two years for queer Got his injury injury. These owners were watching similar stuff. Who were to what they're wanting for judy. Now and look two years lehrer I mean not a lot nestle chains and still seems like he's putting up similar production as you had that one big year but he's two years old ran out of as significantly gone down for world in sutton is all about finding those discrepancies. You know guys that were once high now. Had ibo samuel us another day. You pretend you said top five rec- rive in all in on the season. The last couple of weeks especially before his injury last season where he kind of did do as much after injury after a super bowl. You could give i throw a for deebo samuel. They were saying now no way and like after that injury like before this season i think they would have accepted. I you said your first Chart done like even injuries. Their price significantly draws out to us goes down just like some guys insight for you guys but anyways there is. let's let's go tight emphasising next Discuss we spent a lot of time on other staff. You did mention cadavers. Tony's another winner of numerous wall on mark eastbound believe Again live receiver position. An avian next tiger bus some losers at the by receiver position. I'm really wanna spend some time on the tight end Because mantle mandal landscape this percent changes. We can out. So i'll let you started. Some weavers are some losers at the position. Yeah one of my. Losers is tj considered right. Now he's still six tight end overall and that's based off his first two weeks he had twenty one points sixteen points and then the last weeks. He hasn't scored double digits. So i mean it's it's been feast or famine for him and he's a guy that i think. A lot of people were expecting to finish top four. I know you said you would compete for the number one overall tight end position. Yeah it's not over you know. But he's he's a guy that he just hasn't been getting the targets. What i was concerned about after the baltimore game. The first two weeks against san francisco in green bay. He had eleven target nine targets. Yet eight receptions both weeks and then against baltimore dipped all the way down to two targets in two receptions and something concern me was have these defenses figured out how to stop tj hopkinson. And i've got to say after three straight weeks of dodd performances that they have..

"If the defense is elite and the playmakers on offense pick up for him and we saw noah fan have a rough game we saw and sutton even though he ended with seven catches one hundred twenty yards. He had a few pretty uninspiring moments in the first quarter. There where you're just saying. What what are you doing out there. And you can't have that with. Teddy is your quarterback. And then the defense. How underwhelming have they been the past two weeks. They started off incredible by giving up. You know they had a shutout in two thirteen point games in the first three games. They play real teams and they give up fifty total points and the past defense which was supposed to be. The biggest strength of this team. Just looks Completely exposed in that teddy is not fitting into that formula. But if i if the rest of the team fits into their formula teddy is going to be fine for this season. Yeah you're right though. I mean either way you want to slice it with teddy Drew lock whatever the strength of this team. Going in where okay. This defense needs to be elite. They need to be you know because they were so good in those first three games. They're still in the top as far as yards allowed. But what. I wanna see more than anything is some kind of game changing play and you had the fumble. Of course the broncos relief just followed it up with the field goal because of everything that happened you had alexander johnson with two opportunities to get some picks there but you know you need to see von miller getting back there were. He's forcing bad. Throws maybe some picks. I'm watching the chiefs game the other night zach and the pressures there were mahomes just throwing it. Not exactly where he wants to throw it. And so a fingertip tips the ball and it goes up in the air and next thing you know anything could happen. So the broncos need some chaos on the defensive side of the ball. Yeah you're one hundred right. Von miller was he leak those first three games. He was everything that we hoped he would be and more one september. Afc defensive player of the month and then he's really fallen off these past two games..

"Denver at pittsburgh sit the quarterbacks We're sitting. Melvin gordon williams. Though right if we can. I i'm i'm flexing gordon. Deontay johnson you have to start. I think was the. I don't know if this is something to keep. An eye was the first time that williams played more snaps. He had three catches two games in a row with three catches. yeah i like williamsburg gordon. I just don't know gordon. Healthy pittsburgh is not allowed to touch down to running back yet. They've been they've been okay against running back six points but you know they've been solid We're trying to sit sutton. Are you nervous about noah fan. You guys have them ranked in the top eight jew stinks and he does. It feels really wanna start. Dawson knocks over noah fan. Talked me out of it. I would start him over no fan in ninety beer and just so. Y'all know i don't actually have that decision to make so people think that i just use this show to set my own lineup. But i'm just saying i would rank. I wanna rank knocks higher than fan so talk me out of it. I guess is the better way to say it but all right anyway sit ben you guys have nausea harris top. Twelve denver is suffocating. Running backs right now. Harris is doing nothing as a rusher. Is this a trap. Game is this look like could be totally crap game for nausea harris. It can actually be a total of crap game for but how you're getting away from at this point with what his role is in the passing game. And the fact that you know he did get his first rushing touchdown last week you know. He can still score. It is hard to get away from him. So you wouldn't start alex collins over him know about kareem hunt or nashi harris still harris. I'd sulfurous all right. don johnson. The only one. We're going to start for pittsburgh. Only receiver he'd be the only receiver. I feel comfortable starting this game and both. Dsp's our top six new england at houston stat of the game. The patriots and texans have the same record..

"What have you. He was keeping plays alive and that was what was really cool to see. Yeah and on top of that. I mean there were two unexpected things to the public. It was keeping plays alive. And i think that really surprised everyone. I mean especially stiff arm. I think you could have got pretty good odd but teddy bridgewater getting a stiff arm and before throwing a completion. But then also the other thing which was very encouraging. And i think a lot of fans were very encouraged was teddy bridgewater throwing the ball further than ten yards. He had multiple completions that were beyond twenty yards. He had judy. For twenty noah. Fan for twenty five. He hit k. J. handler for twenty two. That's what people thought they weren't going to get with teddy. And that's why people wanna drew so bad is because the big place now did teddy hit a fifty yard touchdown. No but he the handler. The man's which would have been a fifty yard touchdown right. Was it a perfect pass. No but was it. Where i it should have been for it to be completed. Espn j. drop that so That was really encouraging to see. And just his composure in the pocket And going for it on fourth down that shows you why vic fangio won and teddy bridgewater. He has not had a quarterback that he's been this confident in his entire time in denver and bat is a huge behind the scenes thing and everyone said we'll why did he not go for withdrew in the preseason on fourth down but he went with with teddy and the preseason on fourth down it's because he trusts teddy. And we're seeing that bleed over into the regular season. And i love pretty much every single thing about the game. Zak is this surreal vic. Fangio is is this the guy the coach we haven't seen in the last two years because he didn't have the quarterback as you just said. Is this the real fangio. He's going to go forward on fourth down. he's gonna he's gonna take a few more risks. We didn't get to see that because he didn't believe in his quarterbacks and so maybe we're getting a taste this or was this just a rare instance where vic fangio is kind of coaching for his life on sunday. Be it go cheaper his life and he feels this pressures. He feel the pressure all the time. Because i i believe that this is who vic fangio wants to be now. Do i think we're gonna see three fourth down conversions every single week. No i don't think so. But i do think we're going to see a more aggressive vic fangio behind the scenes brady one of the reasons that vic fangio moved on from rich gang carello after his first year in denver was because he would he he gang rela with not merely as aggressive and victims like that. Everyone thought that he was mr conservative Because i in reality big thought it was rich being the conservative one. Vic wants to be aggressive. So would i be surprised to see the broncos go for it on fourth down every week or every other week absolutely not no. Why would and look. When the broncos got lead they just kept extending it here and they end up with a rare dominant. Blow out really..

"But regardless you know him. Being paired up with jared goff. I think it can work because i think You know golf is gonna look for security blanket. I think he's that guy I'm not a big fan of the wide receiving core for the lions. I mean i think could be okay but the lions are just not going to be a good team this year. But you know i think golfing hodkinson. I think it could work. you know. Goff lights to You know target the tight ends back when he was with the rams you know between be an everett i think hopkinson can definitely benefit from golf being as qb. Obviously it is definitely a downgrade from stafford. But i think awful target. The tight ends a lot more You know just. Because i feel like the receivers you know. It's a little a little iffy with them. But yeah after that Like i said logan thomas. i think he's going to do really well with With fitzpatrick i think this could be a big year for him as well. I think he can do more of the same of what he did. Last year. You know and this was with alex. Smith is as quarterback and twain haskins. Now let's see what he does with fitzpatrick who you know. I think is a more explosive quarterback. Now i've talked about the inconsistencies with fitzpatrick a lot. But i do think there will be a lot of games where fitzpatrick does really well in. The offense will definitely benefit from that. So logan thomas other tight end I also of dallas goddard. It was. I was debating on it as going through the tight end. Listening listing for here too. But you know. I think zakar. He's not going to have to re establish himself as a tight end until he does that. I'm kind of just going to assume that. God is going to get the bulk of the targets in terms of the tight ends and you know when he plays a decent tight end. It's just you know last year he did. You know deal with injuries. He missed the handful of games. But you know when he played he was decent and i do think that a lot of people will be drafting him. Hi this year then. I was wherever albertan. I mean he was great last year with the packers really Came on strong towards the you know the kind of the middle end of last year. You know scoring five touchdowns in five consecutive games. You know Obviously had that three touchdown performance in week. Four kind put people on notice and then he kinda cooled off In the middle of the season and then towards the touchdown in five straight games you know so. We'll have to see you know if you can replicate that. i mean. i think he'll do well. I mean i think he you know working with george kill and training with him. I think that definitely really helped him. So i think he could definitely repeat what he did last year. And then i put noah fancier noah fan definitely a guy that i think a lot of people are hoping he can you know. Take a jump in be that tight end that a lot of people are expecting him to be hopefully But hasn't really shown that You know is okay But we'll see. I mean the way. The broncos offense looked you know in that preseason game if that's what's to calm i mean broncos team is going to be dangerous and i was saying how the giants are definitely gonna win week one after that. I know it's preseason. But after that i mean i was like i. I don't know but we'll see again. It's only preseason. You don't wanna overreact to the preseason but you know that's you know that's my opinion on that but Yeah so that's your swimming on a tier three Mike irv smith junior. Johnny smith hunter. Henry tyler higby Rob gronkowski and you know what i'm gonna throw. I'm gonna throw berkshire in there as well and gerald everett. I'll throw them in there You know with these guys. You know the titans from new england. I think would hurt them as obviously they're going to be splitting targets. Kind of i mean jonah. S- is going to be the guy that's going to move the change. I think in hunter henry is going to be a guy that you know will be in the red zone big red zone target but the other thing is both these tight ends are hurt right now. So that really hurts new england because these guys are really going to be the focal point of this offense because you know you look at the wide receivers. The wide receivers are not bad. But i think the tight ends are really knows. What's going to make this offense successful mike. I put it to your three just because inconsistencies you know. I think that you don't like he has a tendency. You'll put twenty three points and then the next week a put up eight. I'm looking at Six statistics from last year week. Five hundred eleven point six okay. That's good right then. The following week he leaves a go sag. I mean that's just so frustrating as fantasy manager. You don't know what to expect from him Obviously i mean you'll get look at week. Thirteen fourteen That was with tour as a quarterback he had nineteen point three points. Twenty one point so i mean maybe two over the course full season. Maybe you know plays better. I don't know we'll see I mean obviously with fitzpatrick you know definitely put up good numbers. But it was inconsistent. I think general he's just an inconsistent titan. Want to see gronk. I put a tier three. I mean you know gronk was okay last year. You know definitely was better. You know as the season progress yet. He did have A three-game stretch between week. Six week eight where he averaged. you know. Twelve over Well he didn't really average. But yet a touchdown in every game. I think that's really what helped him. you know. he had sixteen point three or fourteen point. Seven twelve point one through those three weeks But there are definitely games where he disappeared. And i i again. Gronk is not what he was from four or five years ago. But i do think he's a guy that you can have as a backup tight end On your team so Yeah i put him at tier three earth smith. Juniors a guy that i think will see a massive jump in fantasy value will definitely have a lot more a lot. More people drafting him as opposed to last year. Vikings really don't have a number three tight end right now and i number three options..

"I'll i'll do it. I'll do it. I the most likely buses kyle pits. I don't like it but there have been two tight ends. Since i started playing football twenty three years ago that have scored at least one hundred sixty fantasy points in their rookie season. Bay score one hundred and seventy three and one hundred and seventy one. It was a pair of giants. Jeremy shockey and ingram. Kyle doesn't even play for the giants damrau if he scores hundred and seventy fantasy points this year. You're not quite getting value. You're paying for around four. He needs to have the greatest tight end. Rookie season ever just to justify his. Adp you're not necessarily profiting if he does that. It's just to to be worth what you paid for. That's not the type of bets that you should make and fantasy football. You should not bet on someone needing to break records to justify the cost you're paying for when when do you think that you'd feel okay taking him. Well i'm not taking him until round seven but it does the whole thing is. I might reach form occasionally at the end of round five early round six just to make sure i had some kyle pits if that was an option. It's just never even something to consider. Okay jamie bust. i was gonna say pets. Which pains me. Obviously as a gator. I think it just it just makes the most sense And give me the adp again because all right here we go kelsey. Ninth overall waller. Kill twenty six and twenty seventh round five we have pits andrews and hocson jamie said travis kelsey bust noah fan around seven taoist goddard round seven. That's the one right now. And i i hate it because i have so much. Optimism him if if they can shake loose zachert somehow but efforts there. You can't take him to high five point seven targets per game with and without erz last year no red zone or the way no he had no games with hurts and no hurts with hurts no irt. That never happened. forgot her. you mean. It didn't happen forgot earthly play. Two games with jalen hurts now. He played three games with jalen hurts. Earth played in all three of them. Okay fine so erz was there. I put hurts hurts my ears kill. He didn't really have that great of a season. But when i rent a car ahead so in the first three starts for hurts we won't count the washington game. 'cause got it and play raider actually led the team targets with one thousand nine hundred and then erz goddard both had seventeen. Greg ward at thirteen traffic travis..

"What's interesting is that generally when you have two wide receivers and tight in and a tight end drafted in the I eight rounds of an nfl draft. Normally one of those guys goes early and fantasy. All these guys are in the sixth round or later. So i think there's a lot of indecision with denver. There's nobody's putting all their chips into one basket. But the likelihood that one of these guys has a really nice year and therefore is a draft value is very high. Yeah i mean you want nebulous situations you want Of a receiving core like this where. You don't know exactly where it's going to come from. Obviously the reason they're all and values because the quarterback we don't even know who it is and when we decide who it is. We're gonna be disappointed like it's not like he's he's there. Everyone moves upper. Yeah like they both suck so You know it is what it is when i look at these three. I've been hot and bothered for portland sutton this whole off season. I really think he's going to get back. Get strong and then of course the camp reports and some of the videos showing he doesn't look a hundred percent net this time line. I would expect him to look nearly one hundred percent you know he. He said i shouldn't be able to watch and be like i don't think he's right. One hundred Even if he's not there yet. So i am worried about portland sutton Would you take the value jerry. Judy around a little bit more than around later. Where like. I'm the only one in this group that has judy actually ranked ahead of sutton. So he's the key to me because he's going the lowest of these three and i believe in him I would trade sutton. I'm not going to bank on it. He's a great player. And then i'll i guess i'll cut noah fan but that's starting to be how am leaning as well no fantas- i get it. I get all the reasons that fant should break out but the and he can and you guys are laughing because there was just a dynasty trade. Really talk about this please. Yes i tweeted this out to like. So jason if you've listened for a while. I acquired mark anderson jason long ago when the trade mark andrews for john. Ross doesn't sound a stupid as it sounds now right. It sounded reasonable john. Ross obviously didn't pan out mark. Andrews did pay now and therefore i've held it over jason's head for many years. We had the opportunity in a very large dynasty trade. Recently a rare one between the three of us to jason exchange. Knowing and a deal. Where i i gave him mark andrews or other players but i just want people out there to know like if noah fan outperforms mark andrew al die so if you're rooting for the show to have all three of us on it Man that's tough. Mark andrews root for this isn't i don't need to be anti no offense necessarily i just need mark andrews to be a much better than no fant That's all that matters. It also helped like multiple. No offense hype. Pieces started to get written moments after the trade like they were holding the editors hold hold as trae done. Yeah okay released. Released the the The hype but for fan mean. There's there's so many good pass catchers and there's not an elite. Aaron rodgers is not coming to town. Denver i'm sorry. If bridgewater's the quarterback i would feel more excited about the potential of fanta haven't every week role and a golden rule. I could trust. That's where i would get a little more excited. I mean i just cut him in the keep trade cut even though i traded for him because the other guys represent more upset. I'm gonna keep coralline sutton still trae jerry. Judy and cutting off fan. But i will say this. I mean if we rewind the tape over a year jerry. Judy has been a guy in love with he was. He was almost the mike guy last year. I think the talent is off the charts..

Jerry judy told us though that he certainly has goals that he set and that he that he sets each year and and even how he references them on a regular basis. Of course our all my goes down on. That do you have to tape chips in they lead. Why does andy. Yeah that's what he was saying where the two right. yeah no. that was what i was saying. Don't even trent dilfer want to super bowl once in a while to he never want to though. Oh my gosh we have. We have such a jam packed. Show today there are rumors they are. I updated my rankings. More in the last twenty. Four to thirty six hours than i had in the previous week just with so much news happening Training camps about to start yup. And i mean we're in it. It's go time. Five shows a week starting in august coming very very soon week from today. Something yeah so. Today we've got the nfc north the final divisional breakdown. Timing up as well as it could with some information out of green bay and speculation whenever you wanna call it. We have news in rumors to talk about. We've got a new segment. We're breaking out on the show today. I'm excited and that just made a dynasty trade for you'll elliott. Yes you did i'm welcoming mark andrews back home. Yeah the team that drafted him and made a mistake full letting them go and heal the league going back home. Is that what happened. The one that got away one. That got away got sometimes. You've got to undo your mistakes. Right they let the eagles let frank right go and they're like men. We shouldn't have done that. Let's try to get someone from his staff back and this was like okay. I i shouldn't have let mark andrews go andy got a title with mark andrews. I need i need him back Got i'm going to be taking a chance. Thrown noah fan out there as starting tied in next year. You know but you've got now And i hate that. This is true a handed. Yeah very excited that you have christian mccaffrey. Davin cooking ezekiel elliott all on the same roster now which socks and i apologize but for since we're talking about yeah you gotta trade Was zeke and fan for Rob anderson mark andrews Hema moster and a first rounder first rampant and that completes my Since this is the green bay episode that completes my evacuation plans for davante adams. So i turned davante adams into that group plus another i first rounders and a little. Bit of a rebuild. We will see. I mean we've had teams in that league. You guys know what playing dynasty out there where you're starting roster we've had we've had people run out a better four pack of yeah running backs in that league and have them finished last. So dynasty is tricky. Obviously i gave up some depth in that trade and we don't trade with each other a lot like it feels like the first step of trading with one of you guys is breaking down the barrier of being on full guard posturing like we should be able to have a normal conversation to trade with one. Another reality is whenever there's a player. I want and i go. Oh i want to make an offer player acts. And then i look. Who's got player exits. What are you to go. Yeah cramp forget never mind. I don't even make an offer is which really means you. Just wanna take somebody for a ri- say more so right when you when you see that they're on my team you go. Oh i'm going to have to overpay right exactly. And i would like to not do that. It's true it's true. Hey check out. The ultimate draft kit. "And it just didn't get done. So I think the jury's still out a little bit on Kirk Cousins, and then obviously they also went the trade route. I mean, they have bred far they had case Keenum. So obviously you could say Brett Farve was really good for them at the time he was in Minnesota. Granted, they didn't make it to the end result of what they wanted to do there, either. But I think Brett Farve played well enough after his time in Green Bay that I think you could call that a success as well, bringing in Brett Farve. It was a big move, so they've tried everything first round picks. Trading for a quarterback and obviously the free agency, right. So George Payton, learning under Rick Spielman, and he was with Spielman at three different spots. He was with him with the Bears. He was with him in Miami, and he's been with him for Double digit years in Minnesota, so he saw everything. So I don't think that he's going to be afraid to pull the trigger and going a different route. A couple of those first round draft picks that the Vikings had on Lee got one year. I think the one that got the most was Teddy Bridgewater, and he got two years before he got hurt, then that was the end of that. So he's not afraid, if if it's not going the direction that he wants it to that he will go in a different direction. And I think if you have the opportunity to go out and get a top five quarterback that is what age 25 you do everything that you can. So that means three first round picks Andrew Luck. I'm definitely all in on that. And I even told you That I would even toss in Jerry Judy into that deal to sweeten it to make sure that that that can get done now granted, Let me just say this. I would try and get the deal done without throwing without Judy short, But here's my reasoning is toe why I would make him available in any particular deal. And obviously the shot. Watson has a no trade. So we could block coming to Denver, regardless of you offered the whole Bronco team for him, right, You know, But let's just say to Sean was interested in coming here, and I think he should be interested. Because if you look at the talent on this roster, it is young. And they're very talented. You have Courtland Sutton is the number one. And here's why I would give up. Jerry Judy in that scenario is because Tim Patrick to me last season showed me enough that he could be the number two number two wide receiver on this team. And you were gonna be successful with sudden and Patrick that you could say you don't have a burner out of those two, because I don't think anybody thinks of Of Courtland is a burner. But you did draft KJ handler who can stretch the football field, and I think he showed flashes of that last season. But Cortland sudden comes back healthy. And you have Tim Patrick in Cage, a handler, plus Noah fans. That is a lot of weapons for D Shawn Watson at his disposal, and I think Courtland sudden granted, he's not DeAndre Hopkins, but I think he is a rising superstar in this league. There's no question about that. I would completely agree. I would not I would not put Jerry Judy on the table as part of that deal of potential deal like that, right off that that's that's your ace in the hole that you're thinking long and hard about that. I mean, you're thinking. Okay. Even let's just say I'm not a drew locked believer. Someone is okay. That's fine. So drew locks a young quarterback that the Texans may or may not like what you put him in there. Because if you're getting too, Shawn Watson, you don't need drew lock. But if it's Judy, and lock and three first round picks I'm not saying I wouldn't make the deal, but I'm working really hard to make it a different player other than Jerry Juice, and let's be honest, This isn't about Drew lock it is about who does Sean watching inquest right now. No quiet..
