But what held the boy's eyes in awful trance, with the figures springing and leaping about the flames. Tarting shifting founding told the sky the men cannibals on the royal bodies on flashing spears and bristling decorations to watch the strange seeing powerless to move, and he fell to doom itself breathing chill upon his neck in a variance in the herd and crashing in the undergrowth. Four figures were tearing told him through the jungle. They could see them. Now he turned and ran blindly down the trail slipping, sliding, stumbling. It's breathable but choking in his throat. Only one thought encourages Iran. His canoe ready waiting. If only reach it, Savages over new words..

Construction resumed last month on the only house of worship destroyed on 9 11. As we reported last spring, the faithful have spent nearly 20 years struggling to rebuild ST Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church into a national shrine at ground zero. At times opposed by the powerful sabotaged by human frailty. The project is rising again, thanks to those who never lost faith in the resurrection of Saint Nicholas. In 1922, a tavern found religion during Prohibition, Greek immigrants consecrated a lower Manhattan bar with a cross. The first time I walked in And I saw the little place in there. Beautiful place. I felt something built. Arizona's was the last caretaker of ST Nicholas. It was my pride and joy. You called the place, Uncle Nick. That's the first thing when I walked in, says Hi, Uncle Make Hawaii That was. I think Uncle Nick was traditional. The Tomb of Jesus was carried through streets on Easter. On the epiphany. The cross was raised from the river symbolizing the baptism of Jesus. His face was humbled. But inside, there was soul rich images of Jesus Mary and the Saints, known as iconography. Developers coveted the land, but the loan church stood its ground. They were set that no one was going to take their church. My father spoke for all their was not to be any compromise. Regina catapult. His father, Jimmy Magnon Teas, was president of the church and frustrated developers for 34 years. He said. They offered me $15 million and I said No, there was absolutely no hesitation about it. There was even a time that the archdiocese itself wanted to sell the church. How could he turn down the archdiocese? My father was a man of principle. And the church is a body of people. All he had to do was say no. For eight decades, ST Nicholas remained defiant at 155 Cedar Street. An address that would mark its place in history. Before we know it. Hell broke loose Built. Arizona's opened his van to find human remains across his seat. He fled on foot just before Tower to collapsed. That's when you knew that Saint Nicholas was gone. I was part of me. I lost part of me. Bus driving is drunk, driving a message brought to you by Nitze and the Ad council. On the CBS News weekend Round up on Alison Keys. The Democratic National Convention was held virtually this week for the first time because of covert 19 and the nation saw Joe Biden formally accept his party's nomination for president. Kamala Harris accepted the party's nomination for vice president making history as the first black woman and the first of Asian descent on a major presidential ticket. CBS's Nicole killing and has the latest on how it went. Well, it's different. You know, you've gotta address the elephant in the room, which is that this was the first virtual convention that we've ever witnessed, and you know, for the most part, Democrats Hold it off. Technically speaking, it was very interesting to watch as some of the dynamics where there was that virtual roll call we saw early on in the convention, where they went state to state to state to some of the speeches and, of course, when former vice president Joe Biden after he delivered his acceptance speech, of course, when we saw him head out to this drive in style celebration with fireworks, So I tweeted that fireworks or the new convention balloon, apparently I've got to ask you a bit about the substance of this over four days. What? I heard Wass Democrats trying very hard to hit. You've got a vote trying hard to hit. Here's by then his family trying hard to kid here is Biden and his faith. What did you hear? Well, I think all of that is on point. I also heard a lot about Donald Trump. And I think Republicans took note of that. Almost every speech included some reference to why he should not have another term. And I thought what was really striking A, particularly when we talk about former president of Barack Obama in particular, and as well as former President Bill Clinton, But you know, there's always that unspoken rule of and not a speaking Bad of, you know the current officeholder and all of that went out the door and certainly we know that the former president has views but he really put them on display at the convention, asked his wife, former first lady Michelle Obama, You know, even throwing the president's own words back at and it is what it is. And laying out this argument about why he's not qualified for office. I wonder what you think about the argument that Joe Biden has often allowed surrogates for him to get tougher on President Trump. Then he himself has done and in his speech last night, it was a forceful speech. But he still wasn't saying the kind of things that even Julia Louis Dreyfus was saying about President Trump is she was moderating overnight. And I think it's also notable that he never said President Trump's name almost every other speaker did. And he did not. Although he certainly referred to the president and tried to contrast himself with the type of presidency he would have, if elected in comparison to the current president, and we also saw him try to use this contrast of light and darkness even too Craft that argument and also making the case that in terms of building the country back, as he puts it, it starts with Ending this virus and getting it under control, which he argued the president has been a poor job of viewing. I wonder how President Trump has been reacting to this. I hear he has been on Twitter shockingly. Well, he has. He's been pretty vocal. We know during former President Barack Obama speech he tweeted during that, and he did the same as Faras. The last night of the convention as well, You know, pushing back against the former vice president and, in essence is suggesting that Hay hasn't done much as faras. His record is concerned, and I think, certainly, as we look ahead to the Republican National Convention, I would expect as much as the Democrats talked about. Donald Trump. We will hear Donald Trump and Republicans talk about the radical left and try to paint Democrats is socialist. And so I think that is going to be a term that we will here as we go into next week. Really briefly, Nicole. If you had a chance to hear from any voters about their reaction to this, do they think it went well? Were they interested in where they kind of like May? You know, we'll have tto obviously gauge reaction as we go into the Republican convention next week, But certainly I think of once both conventions are done. We'll kind of have a better measure on where voter stand. CBS's Nicole Killian will bring you now some of the voices from the Democratic National Convention beginning with former first lady Michelle Obama. Let me be honest and clear as I possibly can. Donald Trump is the wrong president. For our country. He has had more than enough time to prove that he can do the job, but he is clearly in over his head. He cannot meet this moment. He simply cannot be who we need him to be for us. It is what it isthe. If we have any hope of ending this chaos, we have got to vote for Joe Biden, like our lives depend on it. Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who lost to Donald Trump in 2016 joined the chorus of diverse voices exhorting people to vote. Don't forget Joe and Camilla can win by three million votes and still lose. Take it from me. So we need numbers overwhelming, so Trump can't sneak or steal his way to victory. Then former President Barack Obama offered a blistering critique of President Trump for close to four years. Now he has shown no interest in putting in the work. No interest in finding common ground. No interest in using the awesome power of his office to help anyone but himself and his friends. No interest in treating the presidency is anything but one more reality show that he could use To get the attention he craves. Donald Trump hasn't grown into the job. Because he can't In her acceptance speech, Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris told voters they need to elect a president who will bring the nation together this virus It has no eyes. And yet it knows exactly how we see each other. And how we treat each other. And let's be clear. There is no vaccine for racism. We must elect a president who will bring something different..

"So that's what tesla says so let's get into what these levels mean yoga to be more precise so first off there used to be two sets of levels which was confusing nitze the national highway traffic safety administration had their own and then sae which stands for the society of automotive engineers which is like this trade group of engineers which used to basically they put out guidelines on how to measure horsepower so that card ehud comparible like have comparable horse power number's how weird is it to the we still measure cars based on horses like the previous mode of transportation yeah i via we should really be doing it on newton meters nunes but anyway anyways the yes so so saec luckily in 2016 a nitze adopted the sat standards so we're we can all just talk about one standard now which is sae so if you here levels you're almost always hearing these s sanders and so basically it everyone in the automotive industry has just agreed that this is what it means and now the regulatory bodies are also agreeing this is what it means so this is sort of the best you can get four what different levels means so the document that outlines this is j three threezero one six kakzawa me and definitions for terms related to on road motorvehicle automated driving systems that sounds like a gripping read it is and if you are to dig in it identifies six levels of driving automation from no automation to full automation as a as a software developer i appreciate these zero the ads pretty zero counting.

"The two big factors on the plus side trade creates export jobs they pay higher wages and other jobs and it lowers the price of imports of all consumer goods which studies show are disproportionately bought by lower income households it's hard to say on net whether and how much trade raises eke inequality or lower that it clearly increases the size of the pie what it does to the distribution of the pie is still an open question there is a debate about it but uh it i think pretty clearly not the major reason the biggest reason for the increase in inequality that we've had over the last thirty years or for the fact that median family income even in the most with the most recent figures even then his stagnated uh for the last uh since the turn of the century it's probably less uh less important that technological progress and the fact that education hasn't kept up with a demand for skilled workers of these other factors that i've named so my last sentence in my view you don't actually need to be able to apportion the responsibility for the increase inequality among traders at technology and other factors the list of policy aziz uh that it would be advisable to increase the pie and do it equitably to raise median family incomes pretty much the same list of policies regardless of how much uh episode she put on trade versus other factors then covered university professor jeffrey frankel live at the american enterprise institute am thank you and krieger is with the paul nitze school of advanced international studies vive played the today by roofs and it's just some it on the jess goo goo authorities have hennessy's they want to go through and trying to the show over i'll let you feel with like islets okay any mental go forward move beyond in there they go ahead hooking okay thanks anyway um very or took a good i said the same thing.

"So you say yep this car is good and then you can start selling it so there's no official government agency before cars put on sale that looks at the car or wendell like the government crash tests and stuff common any number of months or years later that is not part of the certification process or even being it's not even require the model x was just crushed acid three years two and a half years in so what what happens is the national highway traffic safety administration nitze has a subdivision the office of vehicle safety compliance and officially from their statement about this program i quote it is the responsibility of a manufacturer vehicles enter items of motorvehicle equipment to certify that each motorvehicle antara clement item is in full compliance with minimum performance requirements of an all applicable federal motor vehicle safety standards is self certification process as opposed to the typeapproval process which is using some other countries such as japan nitze does not issue approval tag stickers or labels for vehicles are clement before after the first sale in order to provide certification the manufacturer takes whatever actions it deems appropriate so i i i didn't know that i i really odd there was a government that i thought they had a sorta submit the car to someone and they will do some stuff to a check it out and i get a seal of approval like the fda gripped seeing the precious dummies on on tv commercials from the government i thought that was part of the deal those are post hawk so what happens is the way they keep people honest about this as they do random testing and they randomly test a set of vehicles there in market they buy them and then they test them against thirty of the forty four testable.
