And I'm still having a difficult time with requirement because too many of our black and brown students aren't meeting the current requirements. The requirement would go into effect for the 2024 -2025 school year. Personal finance is currently offered as an elective, but such courses could become mandatory for President Carla Silvestre. There's a lot of interest in our community to have our students complete our school system with knowledge about financial literacy. A final vote on the requirement could come next spring. Superintendent Francisco Duran told the school board last night he has signed off on the changes. It's part of the county's new grading approach that emphasizes equity. This equitable practice that's now put in place will allow students to have less pressure on students and motivate them continue to by learning to redeem themselves and learn the material. It also will increase the rigor by insisting that all students achieve mastery rather than accepting just a one -time failure. Among other changes, less grading weight will be given to things Metro says people who hop the turnstiles cost the transit system tens of millions of dollars. Now some members of the DC Council are ready to make it easier to stop someone looking for a free ride. DC Council member Brooke Pinto says her colleagues were right to decriminalize fare evasion a few years back and instead make it a civil offense, but what they didn't do at the time was figure out what that civil enforcement was going to actually look like. said was She's that out the proposal would bump the $50 fine for fare evasion to $100 if it doesn't cooperate with authorities. "Can we do? What can be done? How can we start to repair that? How can we be turned back toward him? Wouldn't God be perfectly just to let us just stew in our juices? And the answer is, of course, but he's not only just. Or another way to put it, he's not just just. He's not just just. He's something else. What else? Well, in Matthew 27, we read, from the sixth hour to the ninth hour, darkness came over all the land. And at the ninth hour, Jesus cried, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? And at that moment, the earth shook and the rocks split and the tombs broke open and the bodies of people who had died were raised to life. What's going on there? Here's what's going on there. Think about the plagues. The chaotic forces of disorderliness and unraveling and darkness and disintegration, they were falling on Jesus. Remember Moses' rod? This is the rod of justice coming down on Jesus. Remember the Nile turning to blood? This is Jesus' blood and water flowing mingled down. Remember the death of the firstborn? This is God's firstborn dying. Remember the darkness? This was the uncreated, chaotic darkness that sin deserves, falling on Jesus. What is it? Jesus was the Creator. Nothing was made without Him. Through the Word, everything was made. We read this. Well, what is going on? Here's what's going on. Jesus Christ is the Creator who came here not to smite us but to be uncreated so that we could be recreated. Jesus is the Maker who was willing to be unmade so that we could be remade. Jesus is the Judge who came not to bring judgment but to bear judgment, to take what we deserve so that the Holy Spirit could come into our lives once our sins are forgiven and begin to remake us and to get rid of the darkness and to say, let there be light there and let there be light there and let there be light there. The Word and the Spirit and the Father come into the life of everyone who's born again, who get right with Him through believing in Him, and recreation begins. Why? Because decreation happened on the cross. Well, might the sun in darkness hide and shut his glories in when Christ the mighty Maker died for man, the creature's sin. There's the self -giving. You see that and you go and do that in the lives of other people. You'll know freedom and you'll begin to reweave the fabric of the reality that sin has eaten so much through. There's the freedom Archer wanted. There's the freedom your heart wanted. That self -giving love will enable you to ride the thermals because in that way you'll be like Him. Let's pray. Our Father, before the beginning, it's amazing as profound and as remote and as high and as lofty and as deep and profound as such matters are, they are profoundly practical. They tell us something about our priorities, how we spend our time. They tell us about our, they convict us of our own selfishness and our relationships right now. We thank you, Lord, that doctrine is always practical. We thank you that your truth is always brought home to us in a gracious way because it always comes through the cross. It never just falls upon us and waits us down and makes us feel awful. It lifts us up and comforts us and renews us and we thank you for that. We pray that you'd be with us as we travel through the whole story of the Bible and we ask that you would help us to see that self exists to be abdicated, thereby it becomes more truly self. Making Sense of Texas Bitcoin Bills With Lee Bratcher
"Let's start off with the proof of reserve thing since that was today. You had a great video that just came out on Twitter. Texas, this House bill 1666, for those who are listening, essentially sets up a standard for how proof of reserve should work for exchanges in Texas. That's right. Yeah, it is a bill that would require exchanges to provide these attestations to the Texas Department of Banking in order to maintain their money transmission license. It's not a perfect solution. Anybody that's deep in the weeds on proof of reserves and liabilities will tell you that it is a tool in the tool belt of regulators and for added transparency. But we still need other frameworks to prevent widespread fraud. But this is sort of an industry -derived best practice to get that kind of transparency that we need to prevent those kinds of collapses like we saw nine months ago. I'm going to spit some questions at you that are completely ignorant and uneducated, but you have to deal with that because you're here. Tell me a little bit about why it matters for just a state to do this because these exchanges are international. We can't even get them to abide by U .S. law, so how can we expect them to abide by Texas law? Is this only for Texas -based companies, like an unchained capital, or is this going to be for even a Binance that has to integrate into this if they want to operate in Texas? That is a great question. So it does apply to all exchanges that do business in Texas. So what we think, Texas is such a large market, we think will happen is these exchanges are going to have to comply because they can't leave the Texas market, right? It's a huge digital asset market. They all want to be here. They all want money transmission licenses. So if they are, if that is true, then they're complying for the state of Texas and therefore their compliance costs for the other states goes to negligible. So if they're already spending the money to comply for Texas, then why would they not comply for the other 49

Well, we're going to try to put this together in a press conference next week. We just wanted to let everyone know because we were going into treasury must have been the spent the last two weeks in treasury looking at the massive amount of suspicious activity reports generated by the Biden family and their associates. That took a long time because there were a lot more in there than we had anticipated. There were a lot more that have been previously reported. And every other bank violation has identified more accounts, more LLCs and more members of the Biden family. So it took a lot longer to go through all those bank violations than what we would have anticipated.
