Getty Museum Opens Art Collection to Animal Crossing Fans

"The Getty Museum has created an Animal Crossing New Horizons art generator tool that enables players to import real artworks into their little virtual worlds. The museum, which is based in Los Angeles, is currently closed as a result of the pandemic, but now players around the world can appreciate the artworks of famous painters like Van Gogh on their New Horizons islands. On the museum's generator page, Getty outlines instructions for how to access the artwork images by searching through the Getty Museum's open access collection, or selecting from the gallery of favorites. Much like the AC pattern generator that lets you upload your own images, the Getty Museum art generator creates QR codes of the artworks, which you can then scan using the official Nintendo Switch Online app, and then download the image in -game from your Nook phone. With this tool, you can fill your island with art and transform your home into a world -class art gallery. That comes from the website. Create your own custom patterns, featuring artwork from famous art collections around the world. Patterns can be used in Animal Crossing to make shirts, cover walls and floors, make paintings for an easel or canvas, and for displaying on mannequins as

A highlight from BIG CRYPTO NEWS! XRP LEDGER NFTS SURGE! POKEMON NFTS POLYGON MATIC, $115 MILLION CRYPTO FUNDING

"Welcome back to the Thinking Crypto Podcast, your home for cryptocurrency news and interviews. If you are new here, please hit that subscribe button as well as the thumbs up button and leave a comment below. If you're listening on a podcast platform such as Spotify, Apple or Google, please leave a five star rating and review. It supports the podcast and it doesn't cost you anything. Well, folks, we've got some very big news around NFTs and I know some of you may not like NFTs or you've been burnt by NFT rug pulls, but NFTs are going to be part of the token economy that we are headed to. We've been talking about this for years and it's not so much the artwork or random Twitter users or crypto YouTubers and so we're launching NFTs, but rather big brands using NFTs. They already have a mass following, a lot of consumers and customers and so forth, and they are unlocking or helping you to unlock experiences and include exclusivity for certain services and products with NFTs. So here's the headline. Got to catch them all. Official Pokemon NFT trading cards take Polygon Matic by storm. So Pokemon obviously has a huge following to game the cards and much more. So the transition to the blockchain, the tokenization of these cards absolutely makes sense. People already trust the brand, right? They have established themselves as not being a scam. So NFTs here make sense. And once again, when this is pulled into the movie industry, the music industry and concerts and so forth, it's going to unlock a lot of unique experiences. And of course, there's a secondary market that you can resell these NFTs. And obviously I'm bullish on Polygon folks as the layer two scaling solution for Ethereum. So official Pokemon cards in the form of non fungible tokens are being minted over Polygon, taking the layer two scaling solution by storm in a lengthy thread on the social media platform X digital asset consultant, Sammy. ETH says that digital card boosters of the popular Nintendo franchise are being opened over the Matic blockchain and have already sold out by the hundreds. Some of them seeing 10 X increases in price, according to Sammy. ETH, the booster packs are randomized and initially cost $5 each. Some of them containing high grade cards that could be worth about $500. Here's a quote. Each pack costs $5 and had a chance of receiving one of any of the pre -disclosed cards. The randomization is executed fully on chain for transparency. Possible cards include PSA nine graded cards from 2000 with valuations of $500. So essentially folks, if you know anything about collectibles and trading cards and look, I, I collected, uh, Pokemon cards back in the nineties. And I have some, I think they're probably worth some money. That whole trading process and grading and, you know, getting the exclusive cards is going on chain folks. So I hope you see what's happening here. The of evolution many markets and the move into the being fully immersed on the internet and, you know, with a digital experience. So this is very bullish and you may say, well, I, Tony, I don't care anything about Pokemon who cares, right? Who cares about squirtle and Charizard and Pikachu. I get it. Look, I don't still, you know, follow Pokemon. I still have the cards that I hope maybe it will be worth some money as time goes by. But the point is it's going on the blockchain of the tokens. Many of you hold that's utility, and this is a big brand. This is a trusted brand, right folks. So this is what I'm looking for from an adoption standpoint. And it's one of the reasons specifically around polygon and Matic that I hold the Matic token, because I see polygon getting a lot of adoption from big brands. So to purchase the packs, investors can use either the stable coin USDC or a credit card. However, Sammy dot ETH says the packs now have a floor of around $50. Here's a quote to buy the packs. You can either use USDC on polygon or pay with a credit card. Anybody with zero crypto knowledge could acquire the packs. The floor is now $50, a solid 10 X from the mint price. Folks, this is bullish. In my opinion, the adoption, once again, not the NFTs specifically or their topics, but the big established brands minting NFTs and different things on the blockchain. That is what I'm looking for as an investor in these tokens. Now here's another example. The XRP ledger just set a brand new record when it comes to NFTs. So many of you may recall the XLS 20 update that rolled out about a year ago in October of 2022, which allowed the ability for NFTs to be fully functional on the XRP ledger. And we've seen a lot of adoption. So XLS 20 added the native non fungible tokens to the XRPL, allowing any XRP ledger account to generate own and trade an NFT on the XRP ledger. The standard in introduces native non fungible tokens to represent assets that are each unique, as well as opportunities to enumerate transfer and keep such tokens. Since the introduction of the NFT capabilities, the blockchain has grown dramatically and NFT activity continues to expand. According to Bithom statistics, 1 .9 million NFTs have been minted since the launch of XLS 20. A total of 29 ,584 accounts currently own over 1 .65 million NFTs. The amount of over 1 .28 million NFTs was transferred or sold. On its official X account, Bithom reported these statistics in celebration of NFT day. And here's the tweet with all the statistics. So really great to see this is happening on the XRP ledger. Obviously, it's happening on multiple blockchains. But folks, whether once again, you hold any NFTs or not, this is part of the future. But once again, we want quality, not bullshit, right? Because there have been a lot of scams, a lot of issues. The NFTs actually have to have utility. And that's the key to unlock exclusivity, additional experiences and much more. Now, quick word from our sponsor, and that is Uphold, which makes crypto investing easy. I've been using Uphold since 2018. They have 10 plus million users, 250 plus cryptocurrencies, and they're available in 150 countries. You can also trade precious metals and 37 national fiat currencies on this platform. You can easily swap between all three. So if you'd like to learn more about Uphold, please visit the link in the description. Now we have some very big news around crypto funding. And I like to look at this news because it gives me an insight into what investors are investing in, who's raising capital, maybe some of the TradFi incumbents coming in, right? And this is important news because that capital will be deployed in the market. So Blockworks, they usually do a weekly crypto funding roundup. They said crypto funding startups raise $115 million across gaming, custody and institutional services.

A highlight from Episode 377 - Artificial Intelligence and Operational Resiliency

"This is Jane Lo, and I'm at the Global Resiliency Federation office here in Singapore. And with me today, I'm very pleased and very privileged to have Mark Orsi, who is the CEO of GRF or Global Resiliency Federation, all the way from United States of America. So thank you, Mark, for your time today. Thank you for having me. And so Mark will be sharing with us the latest in terms of artificial intelligence, which is causing a lot of excitement nowadays, as well as the operational resiliency framework, which has been developed by GRF over the last year or so. So Mark, you know, give us a brief introduction about yourself and also GRF and what, you know, the organisation does. And I also understand that you're very passionate about AI. So tell us about the history of your career as well. Sure. So I started as an aerospace engineer many, many years ago. And after aerospace, I was in computer science and I was working on computer vision. So it's really been interesting to see the journey until today. But additionally, so the last 15 years or so, I've been in the financial services sector primarily and technology risk and cybersecurity. I worked at Goldman Sachs for about eight years, KPMG for a few years, JP Morgan for a few years. And then in the past four years, I've been at Global Resilience Federation and we're a non -profit. We manage and support 17 different sharing communities. ISACs, which are really information sharing and analysis centres, they're collective defence communities where organisations join together to help protect themselves against the various threats that are out there. And of course, you have your conference later in October, later this year in Texas. Yeah, Austin, Texas, October 11th through 12th. Anybody who's local or who wants to make the journey, please come. We also have an OTI set conference on September 6th coming right up. More local. But yeah, it's an iteration of it, sixth year running. And it's security and third -party risk. So we have practitioners, CISOs, third -party risk practitioners, business resilience practitioners. And we have a whole track on AI security. So we've worked for the last six months with 20 organisations on two papers. One is a CISO guide to AI security and one is a practitioner's guide. So let's start with AI, which is what gets people excited nowadays. So tell us, you've got a great vintage point from America, which is a leader in many ways when it comes to technology and innovations. So what is the conversation like in terms of the business use cases that you see in America? Sure, we're coming from a cybersecurity and resilience perspective. And so I was on a call, it was about a week and a half after ChatGBT was released in November of last year. A hundred different chief information security officers on the call, really all concerned about maybe business forging ahead without really taking any security considerations into play. But also about some of the major strengths that they could, how can we use this for good as well, right? How can we use it to find vulnerabilities? How can we use it to secure our code? So an example is one of the organisations had been using a tool like it to actually rewrite their code base and translate into different language, which added memory management to their code and then translate it back to the original language. And they were also using it then to multiply their developers time by tenfold, because they didn't have to write the test cases and additional code around developers. So there's plenty of benefits to it and there's plenty of risks, right? We need to think about the whole pipeline, whether we have in -house AI models or whether we're using third parties, there's different kinds of risks that we need to consider. There's also been a lot of talk of using AI large language models to do predictive diagnostics in healthcare, right? And GRF, of course, you have more than, what, 20 member organisations? It's 17 different ones, yes, 17. And one of them is Health iSAT, right? So talking to your member communities, do you see a difference in terms of the pace of adoption in terms of using AI? Yeah, absolutely. And so we worked with 20 different organisations, including some healthcare, some manufacturing, some energy and others, to put together a guide on AI security, both the practitioner guide and a CISO guide. And yes, there's different pace of adoption. There's organisations that have been using machine learning and AI for many, many years. And but with the advent of this generative AI, there's just a tremendous amount of concern and the pace of change is much more rapid. It used to be every year you'd have change and now it's every week. There's new things happening. So of course, artificial intelligence is not new in cyber security. How is this latest innovation of using large language models, how is that going to be different in terms of adoption in cyber security? I think you mentioned a few sort of like... I think some of the power of it is that ultimately, if you think about the resource limits that we have, there's always constraints on the number of resources that are available that are cyber focused and cyber educated. And so for us to take the power of some of those large language model generative AI and sort of multiply the efforts of the staff that we have, then we can also meet some of the needs that we have from a resource perspective. Also, I think ultimately we're going to get into very targeted threat intelligence to where it'll be based upon our own assets. So if you're an enterprise and you have specific assets and you have specific threats in your sector, then the intelligence that you're delivered would be very targeted to your organization specifically. So it's going to get much more powerful over time to give you tailored threat intelligence. Do you think that the rate of adoption on the cyber defense side is possibly faster than how the threat actors are adopting... Yeah, I mean, that's a big concern, right? I think probably we'll be behind the curve. All right, okay. I think there was even talk early on about just pausing the pace of developments, making sure that we have the regulatory framework so that we know how to do this ethically and responsibly. So I think from a machine learning perspective, we could be doing very well, but I think from a generative AI perspective, we may be behind the curve a little bit. So I think the complexity of attacks, I think we'll be putting essentially nation -state tools into every threat actor's hands. So I think it's a very sort of concerning few years as we work to try and match the pace of change. You think that is something that is quite realistic that will happen, or is it just kind of like a hype? Because there's some part that human developers or human threat actors are possibly a lot more sophisticated when it comes to developing the malware code. And you can kind of tell the difference between one that's generated by generative AI and one that's written by human developers. I'll give you an example of just a very personal use case. So I was working with my son just a couple of weeks ago, and we found an old Nintendo DS. And so he wanted to run videos on his old Nintendo DS. And so we used ChatGBT to learn how to hack into our Nintendo DS to make it display videos. So he never had any programming experience, but we were able to do this. So this is exactly what I'm like, you know, we can put these tools into everybody's hands. So how do we, you know, we need to be extra vigilant as this change happens. So what do you think is the immediate step that cyber defenders have to take in face of this threat? Well, I think there's a few things. Number one, we need to be moving forward to be using it in the right ways, to be using it from a defender perspective. So if it is helping us to find vulnerabilities quicker, if it's helping us to develop threat intelligence better, that's more tailored towards each individual organization. But also just from security and ethics perspective, there's all sorts of different attacks that can happen to those, whether it's on the input data, whether it's in the model itself, you can embed undetectable backdoors in these models. So if you're using a third party to develop your models, you need to be very concerned and maybe even have multiple models to compare the answers. Now, some people also say, right, let's just get the basics right, right? So for example, we'll get more sophisticated phishing emails, right? So that just means more awareness in terms of how to spot a fake email from a genuine email. So that's kind of like the basics that we need to sort out. Yeah, but it's also addressing all the different aspects of that. You know, I mentioned the models themselves. So protecting the models, protecting the data. You don't want data poisoning. You want to detect and monitor these things because they may evolve over time. And you need to be really concerned about your third parties because every third party is going to be introducing AI. So we talk about an AI bill of materials. So the same as you have a software bill of materials, we want to think about how can we develop an AI bill of materials? So how can you ensure that the training data and the model that's being used, right, how do we know which models we're using and which training data is being used? So if we find an ethical bias or we find some, let's say it was trained on a set of a code that had malware embedded in it or a set of code that had logic bombs in it, you don't want to embed logic bombs in your new code that you're writing by using these tools. So we need to make sure that the training data is clean. For example, let's just take the example of data poisoning, right? So that is perhaps, you know, looking at how you provide access levels to your data set. So it's not any difference from sort of the basic cybersecurity measures, right? Right. It's using some of the same constructs that you have across others. But one of the things that you need to be concerned about too, though, is these are dynamic, some of these are dynamic models. Right now, it's a very static world. We have these models that were trained in, you know, 2021 data, right? But in the near future, these things will be much more dynamic and actually responding to the inputs to change their behavior. So you'll need to be monitoring. Yeah, that's very different. Right, okay. So I think one final question on the copy of AI before we move to operational resilience framework. A lot of people say, right, AI is going to mean, you know, perhaps job losses, right? And how do you see that playing out in the cybersecurity field? So I'm, you know, concerned in general. I studied AI 30 years ago. I was concerned about it then. You know, I thought the first sort of impact would be with self -driving cars and in our transportation industry. I think it turns out that, you know, these models advanced very quickly, maybe quicker than people were expecting. But it's going to take a very long time for us to sort of digest that through all of our business models that we have right now. But I think it's going to multiply our efforts. I think cybersecurity is an industry where we're very resource constrained, where people, there's way more cyber resources are required than we have people. So it'll just multiply our capabilities and maybe meet the needs that we have. So I think that's a very positive thing. Ultimately, I think our economy will be changing in the next decade or two decades in different ways. And I think we can only imagine what those changes will be. Right. Okay. So talking about overcoming some of these challenges, it means like resiliency, right? So that plays into the next topic, operational resilience framework. So tell us what this resiliency means in the context of this framework and perhaps cybersecurity. So back in 2018, there was a paper from the Bank of England. So regulatory guidance on operational resilience and impact tolerance. And so it was really thinking about the potential systemic impacts of bank failures on customers and partners. And so the question was, well, how do we respond to that? What are the things that we need to do to ensure that we can continue to operate our critical services through a crisis, even if it's an impaired state? So we, Trey Moss, who is the CEO of Sheltered Harbor, it was an initiative from FSISAC to help protect consumer data. So if there was a bank failure or a bank disruption, you could still access your bank account information. So it would prevent sort of a run on the bank or this systemic impact from it. So we took that concept and Trey was always thinking, hey, we probably need to do more than just protect this little piece of data. It was in a distributed and immutable way that the different banks and the standard format that different banks could access. We need to also prevent the bank from failing its critical services. So we were working with him, Bill Nelson, who is the CEO of FSISAC for 12 years. And he's our board of directors. Trey and I, we met for about a year to say, well, what should we be doing beyond just protecting this little piece of information? What are those critical services that we need to protect? And we need to make sure that through a crisis they would operate, even if it's an impaired state. So we developed a path to operational resilience. We worked with 100 organizations and financial services regulators to develop a very simple path that was meant really for every industry, not just for financial services. And so it's a path of seven steps, 37 rules. We tried to make it very simple. It's aligned to NIST and ISO standards and extends existing business continuity and disaster recovery type standards and frameworks. It takes a holistic approach and really looking outward instead of inward on saying these are internal business services that we need to keep running. Those we call business critical services. Operations critical are those things that your customers and your partners depend upon. And so making sure that those continue to run through a crisis. If you have a wiperware attack, you have a ransomware attack, you have a data center fire, you want to make sure that your customers' critical services continue to function through that crisis. So take an example of, say, a ransomware attack. So attack ransomware hitting one of these industrial organizations, right? So how would this resiliency framework help, you know, plug some of the gaps? So what's interesting is we've done this very much from an IT focus. We want to extend it to an OT realm as well. So we'll be working with OT ISAC and manufacturing ISAC late this year, early next year, and we'll set up a working group to do that. But actually one of our first scenarios that we put out there, it's, you know, freely downloadable from our website, grf .org, is a scenario that we call it ACME pipeline. And it was essentially a replication of colonial pipeline incident to highlight the benefits of an operational resilient framework approach. And so we looked at, you know, what are those critical services from a pipeline? And it was really just delivering petroleum. So there are a bunch of regulatory responses they have to have. There's payroll, there's all these different systems. When it comes to what do you actually deliver to your customers and your business partners, it was just delivery of petroleum. So making sure that they could deliver petroleum through that crisis, if they had a ransomware attack or a wipe away attack, what are those things they needed to do to ensure, even if it's an impaired state, how do I deliver that to my high priority customers and my low priority customers and designing so that let's say I could only operate at 80 % capacity. Can I still provide service to my low priority customers or do I need to only provide service to my high priority customers? So understanding at what point do you cut off service or do you are you going to disappoint some people because it's no longer a service to them. Designing that into your system and pre -planning that is part of this framework. Right, yes, yeah. So it's kind of like looking at from a sort of a consequence perspective on the mission factors rather perspective than start from the asset inventory kind of that traditional. It was interesting, I was hearing some of the same language that we were developing over the last two years coming from the OT experts on the panels as well about exactly that, about operating through a crisis, about the mission critical functions. Right, okay. So we just talked about one scenario which is ransomware and you are looking to sort of, I guess, expand to different types of scenarios to try to help organizations assess where they are in terms of their maturity when it comes to resiliency, yes? Yeah, so it really doesn't matter what the type of attack is, right? And also I think one of the concerns, we've been very sort of IT focused and very much we talked about the data and making sure that it's distributed and immutable, but also from a service perspective. So you want to make sure that you can deliver those services. That's right. Whether it includes manpower or whether it includes just technology. So that's very important. So what are the next steps then? So you say that the efforts started in 2019, yes? There's two active working groups right now. So one is we're developing a maturity model. We're going to release the next iteration in October of this year at our conference, which is in Austin, Texas. So not local. But so the next iteration will come with a maturity model, some of the comments that we've received from multiple industries, and we're still actively seeking, we want to make sure it's a cross -industry approach. We also have another working group focused on a scenario that's in the financial sector. So in ACH payments network disruption, ACH is, you know, domestic cash payments are made through this ACH network, and it's $76 trillion a year. So it's a very significant system. And so what would a disruption like that, how would it impact banks? And how should we be thinking about operational resilience in that scenario? So working through that, we'll probably do an exercise in November of this year, which would be open to many banks to have that discussion. So we'll be looking at the next steps. Like I mentioned, we'll be looking to extend the framework to OT, ICS concerns. And we'll be looking to, you know, develop the third iteration and additional scenarios. So what is the first thing that organizations have to do if they want to adopt your framework? So they can go to our website now and freely download it. It's available. They can actually review it and give feedback. But also think about how they can use it in their organizations, right? What some in major banks, they're using it just to develop training materials. So organizations, they're different business units across the globe regionally, and different business units can consider operational resilience and how they work. So I think it's a really good learning tool. And ultimately, as they implement it, the first steps are, number one, we build it upon the baseline of NIST and ISO standards. IDLE, change management, making sure they have core standards, core practices in place, core controls, and then naming an operational resilience executive. So really getting somebody who has visibility across business and technology. Yeah, a champion of it, who can sustain it through organizational change, right? Who can really have some power and authority to implement it. That's really important. And then you can start walking through the framework and doing the things that are necessary. It'll take investment, it'll take some work to really become more resilient. And so we're working on the maturity model as well, so people can evaluate sort of where they are and where they think they might have gaps. Can they participate in one of your working groups so that they can assess to see how they can practically use it? Yeah, they can contact me. No, happy to have that. Happy to have people reach out to me and contact us. Again, our website, grf .org .org. And yeah, we're continuing to develop new working groups and new sector focal points. Our goal is to make the whole ecosystem more resilient, to figure out how organizations can do that and to contribute to security and resilience in any way that we can. So this is one way to do that. Possibly there's a way to incorporate AI element, the latest generative AI element. I would love it, right? I love it. I mean, that's a real passion of mine from many years ago. So it's great to kind of see it finally come into play. And we just have to address it in the right way and with the right security concerns. So, well, Mark, thank you so much for your time today to talk to us about generative AI, as well as operational resiliency framework that GRF is developing. So thank you very much for your time. Thank you. Thank you, Jane.

"What's up everybody? This is Karrick with ACG and I'm here with Johnny and Abzi doing the best gaming podcast number 410, 410. Let's go. What's the pot? What's the pot? 420, right? Yeah. Oh my goodness gracious. Yeah. For 410. We're going to talk about Liza P, Mortal Kombat, Starfield, Baldur's Gate reviews. What else do I got here? Nintendo event, Sony event. Unity. There's a lot. Yeah, yeah, actually. It's been a crazy week, man. Oh, Final Fantasy remake. We're going to talk about that. What's it called? What's the new one called? Rebirth. Rebirth. We're going to talk about that as well. So a bunch of stuff. If you get a chance, tweet it out. Thanks for the super chats. All that kind of stuff helps the channel continue to put out videos even though this week I think I've done zero videos. Everything fell apart in my plans to do reviews, which happens gang gang. Yeah, it was. It was good. It actually gave me a little time to play and October is coming quick, man. You got a lot of work there. Yeah, a little rest time isn't so bad, right? Little time to just sort of sit back. I mean that like it. I can honestly say I wasn't incredibly disappointed. I wanted to review a couple, but there was some I'll talk about the review embargoes for some of these that were really weird and I was just like, you know I'm just going to play some games, hang out and you had some time to play some more Starfield, right? A bunch more. Yeah, a bunch more and and just we did like four voice chats and discord. We did the yesterday's events and the last couple days we've been doing huge get togethers just talking about life and generally finding out where everybody's from. It's always fun to go into discord and somebody's we just saw somebody who said they're from Australia in here, but it's like a couple days ago I did. I started asking people where they're from and it was like it was just like pick a random spot on the map and somebody was there and it was so cool to be to be like man when I was in school. I only had three kids to talk to and it was always Genesis. Yeah. Yeah, it's awesome dude. Like when we talked to Chris face a while ago. Yeah, he was from like South Africa South Africa. Yeah, it was great. Did you play for as a motorsport preview? No, I didn't get to go on the trip.

"No direction before you get there. Make it easy to see a lot of people quitting baldo before. They've given it anywhere near that long. So Yeah i think. I think without the bugs and didn't crash in was still like just the general complaints. I think it could have done an okay score rather than what is i. Don't even or your. Yeah okay. That's what i was gonna ask what i've there are so few four games. I don't even remember what that stands for or not. Where is the point. Where you cross into outright bad and i think that maybe i agree maybe this is one in the future when if there are more patches maybe they can you know. Do something to to turn this around and again. I haven't played the latest version of the game rate. So like Be that some things have been. A lot of things have been addressed. But additionally gabriel moss was playing he started on launched a pretty much so he was playing while patches were coming out so it's not like he didn't experience those changes as well. I'm hoping they can patch it and not just the game breaking bugs. What may be the thing that happens. Where if a rat knocks you over you. It just hits you again you but yeah i really do hope that they come up with more patches in fix this game up. But that's about it for games out this week. Sorta kinda kinda line to with life. Strange that's fine. Let's move on so there was an interview between richer studios developer. Mike quicken on an episode of key talks podcast and this was an article by logan plants. E on jian dot com but the headline is metric primes crunch was so bad that nearly broke retro studios and it just kind of goes into an interview talking to wayne about what it was like. We're working at the austin texas based retro studios back in two thousand and two previously. And how absolutely terrible to crunch was so just a just a quote. I two times rose there for forty eight hours straight with one hours asleep. Then a couple of thirty six hour stays and then the last nine months were there. Twenty four seven working on the game and that was before metric prime. And if you know anything about richard's wretch freud. I just combined the two names. You know anything about retro studios before they before before they finished with metric prime actually had multiple games in development. It was kind of like a pseudo partnership with nintendo. But they had a football game that car combat game and rpg and then the untitled action game and that untitled action game was actually adopted into metric crime. Because i think someone from intendo actually visited their studios looked at all of their demos. This could be a metro game. And that's how much prime came to be. And then all of the other previous games got cancelled after metro prime came out in intendo scooped it up officially and things apparently got better. But there's i don't like i have a lot of questions is crunch like that ever worth it now. The media video now. Yeah that is. I mean that is the answer right like you just like feel like i had to put it out there. The answer crunch like that is never bad and wiccan. Did go on to say that. Can you just said never bad. It's now worth it it. Okay i'm sorry. What's this note. Cabin crunches good catholic always crunching the office at all times unless cuts the roof of your mouth. Which was a fairly nineties. It's still does it. How does tom butter crunch especially still leaves. Crunch causes all kinds of pain in all forms. That's all i'm saying. Okay captain crunches also occasionally tasty so. It's really good. Yeah no i mean. People are making video games here and this is not there like an ideal society. Nobody has to overwork themselves for any reason whatsoever even like necessary things but at this point. We're talking like video games which unnecessary. They're fun and wonderful. But no i literally the only way. The metro dade pry series ever could have been made is with forty eight hour days than metro. Prime shouldn't exist. That said i think that trump prime Absolutely can exist with people not working that many hours as we have seen with later prime games so you know therefore. I am glad that i am glad that somebody got that under control. Yes does make in later on in the interview he actually. You can actually goes on to say that. Nintendo realize what was going on and did take over the company. And nintendo of america's michael kelvin was put in charge and eventually quote restored faith in leadership and he goes on in fact after metric prime one. We rarely crunched. We had some crunch but it wasn't like the nine month. Death march at the end of metric prime one that was so worst and after prime. They went on to make more The rest of the prime trilogy and they worked on donkey kong country returns and trouble freeze. So it's really good to hear that different leadership and people who can see what's going on and then choose to step in and fix it actually produce a solution and sound like something that works. I will say i would. Maybe just express late the smallest amount of caution because i saw i saw some discussion when this article and when this when this discussion came out online in various or goals about oh they got rid of crunch. They eliminated french. Oh well that's not really true. Yeah they did still crunch. And i also this is not in any way to disbelieve. Mike now or to to say anything remotely about is account but i. I've done enough reporting on these kinds of things that there are a lot of companies where some person will say oh. We don't really crunchy more. Meanwhile people in a completely different department are still crunching or finishing of crunch is can be very fragile like maybe there's no mandatory crunch but maybe some people are choosing to overwork themselves. No-one stuffing and in doing anything about it. And yeah there's there's a lot.

"I'm excited to play on the go when it comes out on switch irony half two versions of this game you best believe that third was gonna be switch and i. It's it's very hard for me to be emotionally invested in a game. Where i not just want to know what happens to the characters and the person playing as i also want to go out of my way to collect everything. I ended up finding everything in my first play through and keep him honest. Played this game already. Four i've completed four times. I'm currently on a fifth through. I just really like this game. I hope that gets to make more in the future. I hope swearing please. Please let nine make more. I've a strange games. But in either case i i'm i liked. Just everything they did with. The animation was really good. I thought a couple of games had some stiff animation So that makes me a little bit more hopeful for the remastered collection I believe is also working on For the first two alleged strange games and that is coming out sometime next year. We don't know release date because that got delayed but in short go play. Life is strange. Unless if your extra two months which you're gonna wait a little longer but go play this game. It's one of my favorite games. It's on my front runner. Lists of game of the year. But there's still a bunch of other games play this year but looking pretty good for life estranged you guys right now and i'm interested in. I have a lot of questions. I don't know where to start. Oh man okay. So i only played the first life is strange and i have not played any of any of the other ones. I know that this is not connected. Story wise any of them so that doesn't matter but would you recommend i play this over any of the other life estranged games that are out. Yes okay oh. I think this is the best. Even the series hands down or not But also what i like about. Life is strange as a series with the exception of before the storm. Because that is a prequel to the original game is that you can go in any of these games and nothing about it but even with before the storm is well deck. Nine did a great job where you could play the game and not have played the first one and it doesn't you don't feel left out or if you play the original deb played before the storm because before the storm came out astor original one you can go into colors and you will be. There's like a few call backs and like easter eggs and stuff and also one of the characters that you can romance hurting a steph She actually appeared in before the storm. But aside from that you don't have to play the other teams the patriot colors. But yeah i think this is a good thing. This is a a good entry point and the fact that life is strange and before the storm arguing remastered on next year. I think that this is a good I think this is a good game to kind of get your feeling like get your feet wet like you do. I like life is strange. So yes i. This is a good like i like. I like straight game for people who haven't fled the series yet and just a quick summary of of life drainage in general it is a story base choice game adventure game however you want to present but the main character is always have some sort of supernatural power. The very first game the main character had the to like turn back time. A little bit in this one is taylor saying she is an path and can feel people's emotions but like cranked up to eleven. So thank you so much for the summary. I really would like to play this. I am sad that i am so far behind in all of the other games as well. Okay to them eventually. Rub and tom are you. Fans of life is strange. Rob police yeah like like lightly. I think i've played. I've actually not played the first. Life is strange. I have played. Life stretched too. And i have read one of the comics and i have laid. Life is was it. A captain spirit also captains like the prequel sorta for life is strange to came out for life is strange to you and i i enjoy both of those bed so i i really like the look of true colors and the fact that you were review praised itself highly. Nixing very very excited for it. I actually i. I'm definitely going to get it in. Play it here very soon i it. It has a lot of things that immediately appealed to me. Did all the themes around emotions and trying to talk about empathy not just as this particular power that the main character has a with with embassy but also empathy just as things that people have for one. Another i think is very thing that i want to watch any video game explorer in thoughtful and meaningful way and also protagonists seems really really cool and glasses. So yeah. I wish i would hang out with alex general life if she was a real person and not a fictional character. No go to a concert. Just rock and roll. Yeah just rocket out. Go to a guitar store. Just see like what guitar she picks up or something. She seems like a cool chick disraeli. Cool yeah also colorado man. I love the environment that this appears to be set in i. I was about to a book a plane tickets colorado. Just just because of the setting was just it was just. It's incredible. I think it's the setting or in any life of strict life with strange game. It's it's like their times each chapter or section. There's like an opportunity where alex can just sit down and just taken the the world around her like she'd be sitting like a bonfire or by like the dog and it'll just cut to so many scenes and there's like almost every kind of angle that the camera cuts to you could take a screen shot and be like a perfect desktop background. And that's one of my favorites. Was life astray. Just when they have those moments where the character can just like hawes on the objectives. Just sit down and you can get it even during certain cut scenes where they cutback adult zooms yukos on like the protagonists and they focus on the surroundings around them. There's just it's it's such photogenic opportunity like everyone. I remember once i was like i wish life is strange Photo like honestly. I don't think it needs one. The you know. The developers do such a good job hunting and angling the game that it's just like why would we need to put that in there. They're already doing could shop as is just have like reaction. Yeah just take a great st shot. Hope to god that your reaction times are good and who became your desktop background that you his ipad background or whatever it is i view i'm gonna. I should share the twitter. Actually i took a few screech. I'll say i love his game on a move to even spriggs now even though it's not real a thank you so much for telling us more about how life is strange. True colors coming out to switch. Td but sometimes sometime soon was supposed to be tomorrow. But that's happening. That's okay because there is another games coming out this weekend warrior. Where would you already talked about. But there is another game that is also out now that you may or may not want to play. I brought it up last week. Kind of briefly but baldo and the guardian owls. Did we finally got a review up. I- gabriel moss and gabriel. Give it a four out of ten tom. Do you want to give us a short rundown on what was going on with this review. Yeah so this isn't something we it's not a huge deal. It's not something we're usually go into the details and we didn't get food until you know the week of launch. I think it might have been the very beginning of the week. Before it launched a we had a different reviewer. We had someone else on it. They got twenty hours into the game and it was such buggy mess that they like had lost so much of their progress. Already we actually had to switch reviewers to gabriel Who's great gabriel. One of one of my favorite viewers on jan definitely of the freelancers we use and he Yeah he had to go on this fifty hour odyssey where the game i ke said in his review crashed already eight individual times to the station bash horrible. He was playing. There was one point where he lost his progress and had to restart towards the beginning. Ray apparently it is just like he played playstation. I think five. I should say or the playstation version of the game but by all accounts are first replying.

Why WarioWare Gets It Kind Of

"So let's get started with the first topic of this week. That is warrior. Wear get it together. This is out on friday. Which is tomorrow if you're listening on. The this podcast is released marks review the game and i have been playing the game for wiki and gameplay capture support and. Tom gave it a seven. Would you like to give a quick summary on why you gave. Were you aware that score. Yeah so i. I've always liked lawler warrior games. I've smooth moves on the was also the game game before before that. Were like to my favorite kind of party games. Played less of the ds ones just to kind of like. I know that this is kind of where some people are coming from his like. The camp of the hand held. Gloria wears which were always more solo experiences versus the camp of the console warriors. Which were always more birdie games. Or it's how i read it at least maybe that's just my impression anyway. I reviewed this. Wanna give it a seven because it is a really fun. Wacky warri aware. It's really pretty music. The art design is really really good. Micra games are very fine. The characters are like hidden basically like and like the character system. Okay but some of the character designs are just like really. Were like verge like there's a person that can fly and shoot one direction and then there's version of that person that shooting one direction but just can't stop jumping and so there are just these cases where like some characters are objectively worse versions of other characters mess not like interesting or fun and it's just like oh that character is just bad and like i don't know it's just it's just not as engaging

Valve Announces Steam Deck to Compete With Switch

"Steam which is made by valve company valve They just announced pretty much. What was it last. Wednesday last thursday out last week. They announced the steam deck. So again yes. It's very similar to the deck. It's called the steam deck and it is a handheld system. It looks a lot. Like the sega game gear it does. It's gotta come back in the day. A seven inch screen. That is is pretty good. I mean he's still looks like a great screed. Yeah it's a decent screen as hand-held it's got the analog controllers got a directional controller. it's got a touch pat on both sides for more of a mouse movement. Kind of thing. It's got a few buttons on the back. A few buttons on the top. So it's got more buttons per se than than than ten to switch but it was interesting about is like i said it's not only just. The name is very close to el gado stream deck. Yeah and and it's still yet to be found if that's going to be the final name i mean. There is a website street or steam deck dot com steamed Dot com is where you can find the the information on this hand-held device but nintendo i think they gotta be shaking in their boots. Because nintendo's had this the the switch that's twenty seventeen and they keep talking about switch pro yes. Is this new model. Yeah basically that's when his was doing is like everybody's sitting there saying hey nintendo. It's time to upgrade your system. Let's get a new switch switch pro. That's got better. Cpu a better graphics card. A bigger screen nintendo's like oh biggest green. Sure we'll give you bigger screen. We'll wait hold up. No no we want. We want a better processor and gpo. No no no no just going to better screen. That's all they're doing. They're releasing the exact same switch with a better screen.

Will Valve's Steam Deck Really Change How PC Gamers Play Games?

"Week's show if he visited any gaming sites within the last few days, you've likely seen some sort of a headline talking about the valve steam deck, which is kind of like a Nintendo switch. But for PC games, Robbie was the stream that Robbie esteem Dick really changed the way PC gamers play games. Oh, that's a little bit of a loaded question. There may be well, let me just say my favorite headline that I saw since you mentioned that it was on a gaming websites. It was like a satire website like the Onion, but it said, uh, steam announces the new Nintendo switch pro. That's sort of what's happening. So Robbie tell us a little bit more about what the steam Deck even is to be good. Yeah, So I mean, look, if you're familiar with the switch, that's essentially what you're looking at, right there looking to create the same experience that you get from the Nintendo switch. But instead of you know, the switch games have to develop games specifically for that platform. Anything that's playable on computer should be playable on the steam deck. So you know, portable hand hand held claims to be able to run the latest triple A games, which, obviously not every Triple A game is going to be on the Nintendo switch. They say it completely your steam library anywhere. The doc is going to be sold separately. So if you wanna be able to play it on your T V, you will need to buy that. Whatever the price ends up being the deck is releasing in September and the cheapest version is going to be $399 now has a 70 screen. Same as what the switch does. Controllers don't detach, and some of the tech specs in it are actually comparable. To even the Xbox series X

"Do what i wanted to do. I think it's still gonna you honestly like diagonals are particularly tricky. Sometimes it's hard to do like an exact diagonal on on the control sticks. You might accidentally be just in the the the window where it's a left left swing or down-swing So i think that will still happen. But yeah you know. It's it's not bad i would say it's not bad. It's just not what i personally would want to would wanna play as far as the game goes. I'm i'm offering are. Are they better at. The most useful is better than they were than i think there. Oh are they better than they were on. The we feel like they're about the same to be honest and Yeah and again. Like i didn't super mind the most controls on the way they had the. It's like you said brian liked. It is one of those things where maybe one out of ten or twenty times. I'll do a A sort slash. I didn't mean to do but you know it's it's i i was able to pass them Just just from my perspective. And i'm also i'm also a super huge dork. I like i like the feeling of being able to slash like that and register hits. I like being able to hold my my stupid. Little controller in the air charged it up and be like skyward strike and like an animated character. So that that's just like a personal you know nerdy appeal to me. And i don't i don't expect other people to have the same the same reaction down for that. I feel like there's a ton of little quality of life tweaks here happening under the hood. That i'm very interested in seeing i keep seeing stuff sort of on social media that there wasn't even any of the trailers just like little things that move faster or become a little bit more accessible and that that's what this game needed so i'm i'm all in. I think the stories are skeptical and the item descriptions pop up every time. You pick something up. Isn't there anymore and other things straight. Yeah this is. It's been so long since i've played scoured sorted. I don't even remember like how bad fee was no hearing people talk about it. I'm like oh yeah. I guess i guess was pretty bad playing. This is not an issue at all. Like i hadn't even thought about her at all other than the fact that she's really boring character. And i miss. Yeah great so everyone thank you so much for taking the time to talk about these only two topics but we went pretty in depth one of them. I hope that that was okay. We will be back next week to talk more about all of the other things. We didn't get a chance to this week. Honestly there's not a whole lot easier the most important things and we talk about those things. But look out for travis markups review of legend of zelda skyward sword hd. I mean soon. Maybe today or tomorrow yen beat michigan before the end of the week. So if you're waiting to decide on that it it'll probably be it'll probably be by the end of the. "My name is chris and this episode. I'm joined by ethan from nintendo treehouse. High even a low and joe from the social media team at nintendo of america hijo chris. How's it going great. But have you guys back. And i'm really excited to talk to you about our main topic this month. Which is the legend of zelda skyward sword hd and this game launches tomorrow on july sixteenth. So the wait is almost over. And we've all had a chance actually to spend some time with the game already. And i've been having a blast and i can't wait to dig into all the new improvements that have been made to this version in here your impressions but i even. How would you just generally describe this particular legend of zelda adventure to people that might not have played the original version on. Yeah well you you bring up a good point This is a legend of zelda series title. That was first released on the we in twenty eleven so it's back now In what would think of as kind of a definitive version of the game There are a number of small improvements. that you mentioned earlier It also is you know in hd which is great to see on on the tv's we have today and and it moves at a really nice Steady sixty frames a second. When you're playing at which I think you know the the combination of hd and and the frame rate that people will see which you really do kinda need to see for yourself And then and then you're playing the game with the motion control that it's well known for you know if you are playing it that way with Join on controllers instead of the we remote plus and none chuck On the we version. Which i think gives you a bit more sophistication with your motion control so those things kind of taken together really blew me away As making this really definitive You know Experience with this game Based on you know compared to what. I remember you know when it first came out

"Hundred seventy thousand dollars heritage auctions said it was the earliest seal copy of the nintendo game likely to ever hit the market calling it. A collector's piece. It's widely believed that the copy that sold this past friday. It's just one of two uniquely sealed. Copies created by wada. A professional game grading and certification company so john. I know that you have a story about another nintendo game. That was founded resold. So i'm gonna let you tell your story. And then i have a question for you. So another video game that sold for even more than zelda game unopened. Copy graded of super mario sixty four. Yes for the end. Sixty four. Yes which is owned. Which isn't there's like twenty five years i. it's all for one and a half million dollars now. This is insane. I believe classes of some of these video games. It reminds me a lot of what sports cards were doing a year. And a half or so but ago right right so i guess my question to you is a. I know that you're big into buying and reselling sports cards but when it comes to something like this. Is it something that interested in the same way. Because obviously you can't go out and buy a new gaming system today and then sell it tomorrow but you can go out and buy a new pack of cards and you could get a rookie zion. For example. If he continues to blow up you can sell them or what have been money within like one. Maybe three to five years a three five days to get the right. Zion is. I mean so. That's really actually a good point that i didn't think of as you're right. This is reliant mostly on vintage dauphin. Not only that because a lot of us have copies video games and not a lot of us. Have the boxes right. We played you. Played them So then you're so. It's different than a sports card in a way. Because now you're relying on basically finding an unopened. Pack sports cards right you have to find an unopened game and then it has to be in pristine condition. But i still think it's cool. That people are willing to pay that much just for a piece of pop culture. So now once you buy you can't play right aced dislike. Here's the only graded nine point. Eight copy of sixty. Four's mario world. Sixty four yeah. I'm sorry i'm gonna play in planning. I'm sorry it's gonna lose. It's going to decrease in value. If i if i ever bought it i wouldn't i would not but just let him know full disclosure. I would not buy a game for that much billionaire..

"Or you know we might be approaching a time where you know. It's it might just be worth waiting for the next generation of nintendo hardware which i mean presumably. They're already working on. So mean i it might just be. The switch is what it is. You might see another Model come out. But i feel like this might be. This might be it so it definitely does stink that we're not going to see in enhanced switch or maybe we will but it seems like at this point in time that we're not going to see an enhanced switch so that is a little bit disappointing and then the last khan here a have is going to be the price point. This is fifty dollars extra. I'm not sure if this really warrants the price. Obviously if you are going to buy a switch you know you want to pay that extra money. I almost feel like it would be smarter. Just a phase out the standard switch and then just have this take its place at the same price point and i'm not really surprised that it didn't go over three fifty. I think i've mentioned in the past. That nintendo would not price. Something passed three fifty four. Whatever they come out with so it's It's definitely interesting though. And obviously we may see something next year in an. I have this this growing feeling. And i'm kind of afraid to say it on here but i'm going to go ahead and do it anyway. I think that if nintendo releases a switch pro pardon me is really feeling like especially at this point in time at this point in the generation. We've already had you know. Probably more than half of the switches lifespan is now gone. I think that's an intense. Which pro is going to be the exact opposite of the nintendo switch lights. I don't think there's going to be a held portion to it. I think it's going to be a home console or it's going to be achieved in a very unconventional way with maybe different connectors that is not usb c or something of that sort but i feel like this is going to be a dedicated home console whenever they do come out with a switch pro if they do. I feel like at that point in the life cycle. It's not going to matter as much and it's going to you know possibly shape what they're gonna do for next generation. I mean i personally don't really want another nintendo console. That doesn't have a handheld portion to it. But we'll see what happens with a switch pro. But i do have of really strong feeling like that is going to happen so i might be completely wrong and there's really nothing to back that up. It's literally just a gut feeling that. I have. And i really hope that does not happen. Because it just would be unreal but it just feels like we're trying that way. Think about it. Every switch up until this point has been catered to. The hand held gamer the first switch. Yes you have the ability to docket but it felt very much like a hand held system with a pretty nice screen. Very nice and big. You know you have the joy concert are sliding on these on the console itself. Then he had the switch light which is geared directly towards. Hand-held gamers and i have the switch oily d. mato which is geared directly towards hand-held gamers as well giving a seven inch screen and a a kick stan. It feels like the at home on the tv..

"Welcome to game pinions episode. Sixty four i'm your host cowman and today i'm back again for another episode of game pinions in today's episode of game pinions. I'm gonna be talking a little bit about e. three because i didn't have a chance to talk about e. three and i know in my last episode i said i was going to make a couple of different wishlist episodes but that did not happen and the main reason is when i went to go make those episodes i basically just said i wanted breath of the wild to over and over again and it really just wasn't great content so i decided you know what we'll wait till a little bit after e. Three have some feelings digest a little bit and go from there so besides that i also wanna talk about the new nintendo switch led model which was announced this week in. Everyone is still humming about that It's kind of controversial in away. Just because of how they managed this consul both in terms of the name and the features that this may or may not have so. That's that's something that. I also want to talk about as well and that would probably be the main topic of the episode today so before we get into it have to say that my voice prolly doesn't sound one hundred percent it definitely doesn't feel one hundred percent and that is because i am getting sick so i'm starting to feel like that energy that i had a little bit earlier. Today is just a pleading very rapidly as the day has been going on so i'm starting to feel like that really you know exhausted feeling. Just a weird aches for no reason stuff like that so you know definitely sore throat that probably not a great idea for me to be recording this right now but you know what our love.

"Enter the sweepstakes. Where is this. This isn't japanese south. I now ten winners will be ten winners at each of these ten winners. Get fifteen monster. Hunter of amigo. It will get regular gold and silver versions. Palamu 'em pelayo and regular versions of the monster hunter stories of raids ring round and also posters. But i think everyone. I think everyone should spend their platinum points on other things. Not on this contest. Everyone silver and gold or a great way to hedge against inflation. So i hate it when they do these limited releases that you can't buy anywhere. Yeah they did. You know the original the original silver will you refer to were given away as a prize just like the nintendo lab joy con to deserving people with skills. But it's still bugs me. I want them well entering. And i've already. I already used by thirty points. I had i have way too many points. I didn't realize how many had thirteen hundred platinum points. Jeez and i. i wish i could enter more. It's a k. One of us one of us will have to win the ten like the likelihood sir just audit chartreux. Well what if deysi ca freitas's entered separate account.

"Huge You're listening experience. Ironically would you say it's more sociable than the mainland most serious might be micro losses one All bunch of through the sem on my own. I wanna love this. The i think i have orders to care you need. You need a shepherd to play with. You need someone to play with. The huguenots everything i think. That's how everyone learns monster hunter. Honestly you can play call up here too but no gills absolutely. It is much more. Like poke him on this traditionally hundred with the monster in set in the monster hundred world. It's very much and they. They onboard you so your battles are very guided in the beginning. It explains why you're kicking ass and why you not have to raise. The tutorials and the pacing of the tutorials in this game is really it really follows. The do don't read kind of tactic of tiki new things for. It's when you're in the battle for the first time it tells you what to do and why to do it. And then explains the effects after. But they're not so long and overbearing that they're annoying and you can also skip cut scenes and stuff right off the bat if you wanted to do that for some reason. Don't don't do that. It's called monster stories. But i really. I really enjoyed the way. They approached orioles and they really spread it out so it they didn't just info dump on you in the beginning. It which i know that monster hunter like montana rise does that as well but this game really spreads it out very easily and also opens up the game to you very early on as well. I think like maybe like fifteen or or thirty minutes into the game. You can really explore if you want to and ignore the story quests that he wishes tutorials which is just really nice if they do that capcom back that there is the freedom on the switch which is just i area and chapter. The game is great because if you do end up liking it you can move that. Save data over to the full version of the game. You decided that you really can't handle the frame rate dips you can i don instead. If that's the only reason that a that it bothers you. But i wanted to just also repeat. It didn't bother me enough to want to plan the pc. I also have the option to play on the pc. If i had wanted to the portability of the switch just kind of trumped. Did you notice a difference. When hand held talks the performance shoes. Yes yes on hand held. It does run a little bit. Smoothly still is kind of choppy occasionally during the cut scenes which again i find really strange like why most notable in those cut scenes. But it's it looks gorgeous. Yeah love the hostile wonderful. Yeah yeah seth. I was specifically interested in hearing your opinion on an as well because i know you love classic. Turn based therapy. Geez how you been liking the so far. I've been liking it other than the frame rate issues. Yeah i don't know. I gotta keep playing the demo because i haven't played it nearly enough. I don't know if i've made up my purchase decision yet. Though is whatever happens. Is i get these therapies. And then you know what else happens. I see something shining in the distance down. I regret spending sixty dollars. But i don't know. Because i guess some time off coming off Coming up i got nothing else to do and this is kind of like a perfect. I'm off game feta just like. Oh yeah. that's another thing. I'm one of the only people who likes grinding gergis. So that's kind of mostly what i've been doing with my my time. I could go to this quest. There's monsters over there. I can just fight them in level up and no reason whatsoever but i like it too because you can indirectly grind by just going by doing this other things. That aren't the main story like lexi. All of the new monsters there are in the new area or like going to find eggs of particular monster. Species is you want. it's gene. You wanted to hatch stronger or like. There's just so many things that you can do that are just so distracting the main story that keep naturally leveled up as well. That's i love that sort of stuff. I ended up. It's like every every open world game. I very rarely beat. Because i just don't like well. What if i collect all the that you're supposed to collect or you know whatever down thing is so now that you've told me that i'm like well. Yeah won't be putting this on the old reorder list. Yeah i would recommended. Check out the demo if you like jerry. Pg's i think if you like kokomo on if even are like into monster hunter but like we said it is much more accessible than monster hunter and if you like j. d.'s. Is we just is accessible. If any of those to you but also speaking monster hunter. There's a little bit of more news that i wanted to mention Hair is going to have to win a sweepstakes to complete his amoeba collection. Which is already missing. Some puzzles monster. The previous monster hunter stories. We are once again. Going to have access to old monster hunter stories ibo yes era. Fancy but there's it's a my nintendo people sweepstakes and for ten platinum points each up to three times..

Maybe they'll do a face plate for the duck sunday for the for the old exit. Remember the three sixty you could. You could switch out. The man is meant to before we move on. Switch a seth. I just called. You switch smollet. Macy all ed mace working out. So thank you for noticing a basie. How do people get the our people get swallowed. How will people get well. They can fall deals on twitter for up to the minute of dates of when it hits retailers for preorder but it hasn't in the united states yet the uk. Has i believe a you have them on like amazon. And you get retailer game. Which i mean. That's right to the chase there. You don't have to guess where the games are but yeah you'll be able to get amazon. S by game. Stop already have pages up for you. Just can't order yet. Every inspite of what everybody on twitter saying the other ninety nine point nine percent of people who like nintendo actually really want to buy this lead switch. Oh the don't miss misunderstand. The disappointment by from core owners as apathy towards this machine. Like if you look at if you look at the if you look at the trailer. I mean for listeners. Here if you look at the trailer on youtube the vote to download ratio is huge. People are going to buy this thing and they're not going to be able to keep this in stock and this will be eventually be the core unit. Something really enjoying about intend this is era is the commercials are so slick and consider the nearly ir is this thing flavors. The first one when they first announced the switch for the two minutes or a few years ago. It's the same volume i love. The i love the consistency in production value. It's exciting. it's really really nice. I'm really appreciate that and now that we're looking at the trailer. Did one very quickly mention something pair to run up to me. Yeah the the pokemon footage does look better than it did when it was shown during that book. Want to kill him really real shining. Jesus i can't remember signing jesus i know really pearl and something diamond. Chiny really diamond in china. I keep swab the adjectives. Don't stay out loud enough. And then i'm just like oh yeah. The shiny jewels very anyway look improved compared to the first and i know a lot of people's criticisms was about the chubby ish art style in the first place so that yeah a lot of people were don't like that's your problem. This isn't good exit. But it doesn't look at her and so when they're saying like this footage isn't final. They they meant it. And i also noticed that the main character got lia. The kirby treatment looks a little bit more mad so maybe that better more mad. But i think that's about all i have to say about these lead if you are interested. I'm happy for you and honestly i'm glad that exists. So that if a new special edition comes out. I have a better a more concrete reason to buy. Because it's like well it's better. It's not just for the design. So thank you for giving me a a logical reason to buy your next edition. I can't believe that the covered screws didn't sell you on or the white joy. Connie now or the shand. I already have so many accessories that fix some of these things to waste anyway. I did want to move on to our next topic. I won't too long on it. maybe who knows anyway. A mustard are stories. Two wings of ruin is out on friday and it review it air and seth have been playing. The democrat to know jewels has played radius. Version did not enjoy it as much as as we have so far though in summary i gave it an eight. I really enjoyed it and just no. There are no more decimals. In aegean aegean reading systems. Just keep that in mind. But i really enjoyed it. I played it a lot. I beat the story in about seventy hours. A total of maybe eighty five. In so far. I did a lot of experimentation. I went into the end game a little bit. There's a lot of deepest mutation here. The battle system is a lot more interesting than it was in the first and i like it. It's a monster catching game. I would like some other people talk about it. Because i mean you already know what i think about it. If you wash time review. I do gertz three us like what would be three s vulnerable in the thirty s. One and i also reviewed that one the so some of the main changes that are immediately noticeable is that the characters are a little bit older and the monsters are less typified as well. A are generally just bigger and not. They don't have the big cutesy heads so they're made to look more like your regular monster than some typified version of it. They are smaller than the wild monsters. You encounter out in the wild. Is they just hatched. They shouldn't be that big but also the battle system got a ton of tweaks as well. It's still very much cemented in a rock paper scissors style battle. Where if you were facing a monster. The prefers power type attacks. You should use a monster with speed type attacks that counter that you don't control your monster directly. They just have preferred style that they like to attack in less the rock paper. Scissors formats technical. Eat speeds power power technical cetera. Slick fire unblemished like weapons triangle. Exactly so there's weapons triangle but there's also elemental attacks weaknesses that you need to worry about as well and you can some of your man. This is like there's just so much to the by battle system like trying to talk about. It is just going to sound like gibberish. If i get really into it. But basically it has brought people sit scissor style. It has elemental weaknesses and resistances. There are also special attacks that you can use a gauge. That fills up. It doesn't fill up over time. You have to do specific things like you have to win those rock asus battle to fill that age and then you can use that gauge. To use special attacks are also six different weapon types all that have different mechanics in play differently and they removed the combo system from the first one. I won't get into it because it's not important because it's not in the second one but they instead added to new weapons and some different skills mechanics as well and the bigger monster is also now all have arts to break which are weak to only certain types of weapons and you can now have three weapons on you at a time which you can freely switch out once a turn you can really take advantage of a monsters weaknesses and you can also freely switch out your monster so you will want to be watching. What the monster does do. Anticipate how it's going to attack next and then counter it. In the first monster hunter stories. This was impossible task because.

"Nintendo fans have been eagerly awaiting news of a new more powerful version of the nintendo switch Strike me down. I will become a more powerful switch and death. See there in the sand where there's only one and that is when nintendo carried the switch The nintendo has announced is the switch lead or the nintendo. What is it do. What does it do. What does it do what it does bondo. I don't know anything about it. Yeah investing it. I actually we creamy color though. Yeah it's it's it seems a little off car because it was like white the images i saw today maybe no. I think you're right. Egg white white eggshell. I appreciated that. You said the word in spanish and then looked me in the eyes for approval. Like yes right. Let's color that's fun. Yeah it's it's not what people thought it would be is why it's being talked about. It's also nintendo announced a new iteration of its console like that's news worthy of its own merit but also for years people myself among them have reported on the rumblings of a switch. Pro with four ks. That's better than three. It's one more than you want for four. But that's not what happened. It's not funny. That any odd number of ks people get upset about well. Threes a strikeout threes. Threes strikeout and terribles blade on this country's history. That's right beyond its history. Let's say it's presently k. Acceptable response to. Somebody sent you right attack. Somebody puts k. Fuck you fuck you you. Can we talk about the lead yes. The best named console has fourcade. It doesn't even have one. Like when i saw this morning that it might be ten eighty but no it is a seven inch seven. Twenty p led desbois comes as it comes in three k. color If folks are are new to the lead concept that's a basically the black of the screen the pixels don't light up at all so you don't get that deep backlit black. A lot of funds have had ad for some time now and it gives you like a crisper overall better image and people. Some are complaining that has the same battery as the old one which is too low but it's lighting up less pixel so but also it's bigger so the trade off might be

"Here talking about the latest is poked mongo master and seeing that reporter. Sean keane welcome sean. Gotta catch them all. Thank you for having me well. So what exactly did we get today today. We got rather unexpectedly to the point where i questioned whether or not. What i was seeing was real. The nintendo switch it model. Which isn't quite an nintendo switch pro right. So what exactly is it. I mean assuming from the name that there is an led display here Give us some details. What exactly are we getting with this new upgraded switch. The main thing is the seven inch screen which in contrast to the regular switches six point two inch lcd screen so the screening look better right right. Oh let is normally known for more colors more black blacks and wider whites. I guess and it's just more contrast with lead that's usually what most of our high end smartphones are using. Now right exactly yes. So this will be great for people who mostly play handheld. It also comes with a wide adjustable. Stand which you might remember. The regular switch has a fairly flimsy standing. I very seldom used because nervous. That just fall over. I mean it's minus. Popped off. And i freaked out until i realized you can pop it back home but after that it's like i don't think it's a i'm not gonna use this thing it. It just seems a little too frail for me to sharp rob my entire console on exactly. Yeah the new should even a little more confidence. I'd like to see the action of kicking it out for myself.

"Remember back in twenty seventeen. When the nintendo switch launched and had what were considered kind of cartoonish hd games while the xbox one and playstation forward targeting four k potential or the switch. Done pretty. well yeah absolutely. Abe reminds me of the we because it was doing something really unique in games they hadn't been done and that's part of the reason why it's so popular in fact the switch is still going strong and it's expected to surpass the nintendo we in sales and one hundred one point six million within the next year as antennas bestselling home system of switches expected to top one hundred ten million and could see even more because right now there's no announced successor to the switch even though there's been a lot of speculation in recent months that there might be an updated switch maybe called switch pro with new capabilities or a new system altogether But you know. I'm not sure if you know this kinda snuck up on me with the switch has been the top selling video game console in the us for the past thirty months. According to the research firm the npd group that's two and a half years that surpasses the previous longest streak at twenty one months held by the xbox three sixty now. We had several stories during the pandemic about the switch and animal crossing new horizons. How that game served as not only a diversion but also a critical communications channel for kids and families over the past year plus and other games have been big sellers with games on the switch accounting for half. npd's may top twenty bestselling games

"Three starting to wind down brett one of the last presentations was from nintendo and folks were hoping to hear about a new switch. That didn't happen. And if you remember we suggested that wasn't likely in our pre three coverage that's because the switch is still in high demand and with the computer chip shortage caused by the pandemic still affecting production of electronics. And lots of other things. I mean why would you want to launch a new console. Well exactly but on the bright side. We're gonna have a lot of new games to be playing on. our current. Nintendo switch is this year and beyond one of the highlights was another glimpse of the much anticipated sequel to the legend of zelda breath of the wild which is coming next year. It looks gorgeous. It looks like a very huge universe that players are going to explore if you're a big fan of breath of the while basically it looks like you can expect that. Just a lot bigger In the meantime while we wait for that a remastered version of the legend of zelda skyward sword which was which was originally released for the nintendo. We is out for nintendo switch on july sixteenth and you can get special joy con controllers themed after the master sword and hilly and shield which also launched on the same day and perhaps one of the biggest surprises was a new metro game called metro. Dread it's a sequel to two thousand two's metro fusion game with this the first two d metro game starring bounty hunters salmon's aaron with the new story in one thousand nine years. What we saw were some cinematic story. Sequences that lead to some cool side scrolling levels. Sam is fighting what looks to be some new super robots. They're called the emi. That sam has to get pretty creative to get away from that game is coming october. Eighth also nintendo said metro-wide prime four which they announced in two thousand seventeen is still in development. So we're gonna have to wait a little longer for that

"It's true. I mean ninja guide in on the xbox was an all time classic action game nut. I think has been forgotten a little bit. But in its day was as big of a franchise as you could possibly get. And then it kind of went downhill over time. So but just haven't opportunity to play the original nine ninety nine in his great. I think yeah okay. But the fossils definitely found a way the best played on series xs. Well got and black and it holds it remotely. Welcome passing full k. In this is no dislike seven hundred ten atp but yeah it's just a great waste. Play the first game simply i think vita i've had some sigma well but this is more accessible and said. Are you playing anything. Besides game build a garage. No i have not only builder garage deadline. I was supposed to play another game. But then i got a game builder garage coat and i was like well. I'm doing this now and thankfully. I enjoyed it for as probably what i'm going to be playing or while playing not be making stupid games like infamous games an endless amount of do. That's i mean you think about your right for thirty dollars you get infinite games. You can't beat that value anywhere else. It is time to start wrapping up before we do that. Let's do a quick question block. This one is from devon by. What is going to be the metro. Dania explanation for why link has lost all his heart and or stamina containers from breath of the wild in wrath of the wild to. I'm very curious to know this one. Because as we all know in metro they always come up with some reason for sama's to lose all of their powers usually. It's an enemy coming in like shooting there in her suit short circuits and now it's time to go in or i think there was one game where her items were actually deactivated on purpose and she had to earn authorization to get them loves. The liberals favorite so link is going to have to get permission from zelda to be able to start again. I do have an answer for this. Actually in the trailer link has the master sword so clearly he's built up from the game and they sent him already and breath of the wild one the died into the shrine of resurrection and we spent like three hundred dollars with this guy. Can we just do that again. Of rather they done. This is clearly already the same guy from the game. He's got the master saudis equipped so instead of link. I'd rather just play zelda. No needs to resettling leaving the shadows. Just play zelda. I fully agree with that. I love that. I wish that would happen. I also i remember a time. When breath of the wild was being shown at whatever he three that was and we all got our landlords and everyone was posting on twitter because the image of link that was on the lanyard looked somewhat feminine and so taking their minds thinking legal or words in the wild one of those doing rich and then then obviously did not happen. So i'm not getting my hopes up as much as i would love to play zelda. I think it's more likely than a whatever was the thing in that trailer. That freaky thing down in the cave. Creepy gannon dead. Whatever that was. Let's get like sap his energy or steal his hours or or mess him up in a way. We're over. I mean that's that's the obvious expedition. I nine gonna capture yes. Yeah i think that's exactly what's going to happen or and it's going to be like way more puzzle in dungeon focused than breath of the while. I actually think it's going to be like an open. World game lonzo.

"Something just doesn't click file fans like five. Fifty nine is like one of my favorites in five hundred nine. It's actually the last game that i beat in the series. I haven't oh. Wow so yeah. I'm an old man but then i went and played all the the switch online games that had that. I said that i was going to play last time completely forgot. So yeah joe mack. It's actually really good. I mean it's not like gray like you don't you don't have a subscription to nintendo online. Don't get it just so. He could play joe mac too but like as far as sixteen big games go ads mazing. It's super super colorful. Super big chunky graphics. Just if you're watching on the video you can. You can see it right now. It's a good game it's fun it's probably the best of the new ones magical drop to is. Also if i had seen this game in nineteen ninety-six. I would have blown my mind and this is a puzzle has some really great Animations and like anime characters in weird little story. And it's a fun little like a little puzzle game but that's those are the two highlights. Super baseball are now wait. What was that other one. The baseball game again would have been very impressive in nineteen ninety-six. Not so much spankings aren't even know. I've no familiarity with spanky. And i decided to try to play it. I hated every of. I reminded me of like one of those early blackbox any s games but has really great graphics so yeah monkey. It's super cute. It's got like a really adorable. Art style is great. Like opening cinematic. I was very excited then. I started playing. And i was like i know this is not anything that i want to keep playing and then i don't remember the the game on the online service. I don't remember the name of it was in the long name down is not. I know that somebody's gonna be like that's one of the best games ever in some genre. I've never heard of but like it's it's it's bad. It's very nineteen eighty-five like budget. It's like it was made in nineteen ninety eight nineteen five and it was a kind of game in nineteen eighty seven. You founded the bargain so you can just go ahead and skip that. I played them. See you don't have to think. Seth i appreciate that. I already mentioned that. I've also been playing center is trying to get my. Hr up to one hundred. i also played. It takes two which is not on the switch. But if you have the other councils and are looking for a cool couch pilaf has really awesome like platforming and adventure vibes. I it's really good mechanics. A great like have you enjoyed playing little bit planet with a friend. You guys would probably really like this game as well. And i've also played on nintendo france voters gate dark alliance in co op is well. I only for about two hours. This is a remake from a ps. Two game i believe it's diesels. I loved dragons. A student in baldur's gate. Yeah all of my campaigns like baldur's gate is the main place and man is a really old game. So it's it's one of those games. It doesn't doesn't tell you anything it's just like. Yeah go down to the sewers by fight these rats data. Have you played this game. I've played in your head back in the day on the two originally. i played the original version. I haven't picked up the master but Yeah i loved the old school baldur's gate and You know champions and nawrath and all those types of those style games. Those games are amazing back in the. Ps two and they are they're rebooting. The sides have series go very much looking forward to and i did have a lot of fun with this but also like this game was really hard and data police louis. Novo's we were doing this wrong but our like so our strategy we would have one person with a shield that would just like get aggro for the monsters Throw a shield and then the other person would you stand behind them and kill them. So we'd basically effectively flank but which is a totally fine strategy in what we would do in regular dnd like regular dini tactics attack. That would be standing outside the doors. There's a bottlenecks to fly a huge hoard. At the same time you can do them one at a time and doing those kinds of strategies in this game but we're also like how would we do this if we weren't.

"I cannot wait to tokyo's always been on my list of places ago just japan in general places. I want to go. So i cannot wait. My first speech or presentation editor in a college class was on hannah. Food carts like. I do not remember much from that but that was literally i remember. I did that and then my friend did Self defense so. I got thrown literally onto mat right afterwards. So i gotta being all professional talking about cars. And then my friend threw me on a mat. I was like this. Is those goal that in public speaking class. Yeah public speaking class ma. What am i first. Classes was public speaking class than i gave a speech on I mean motto was a an important public figure. Wow also gave a speech on because a pokemon heart goldenseal silver was just released. So i did a speech on how to defeat and type typo camman. Eleven mine. I think when i was age nine or ten and this is totally off track but my first guide that i wrote was for pokemon red and blue. I discovered the duplication trick. And so i literally anytime. I was at my grandpa's house. I was on the computer. Typing like like okay. Charm mander learns imbert level seven or whatever level. It was back in the red and blue days. I have no idea where. I think it was nine but i remember. I literally went through and did that for all one hundred and fifty folk. Amman aven did if you didn't evolve charm deters i right away. What level charm and learn flame thrower. It was thirty nine. I remember as well but yeah. I don't magazine anymore. Wish i still. Did i actually. I also had a reminiscent about like we did back in the day but In fifth grade we had like a ticket system in my class where you could like have like of quote business and earn tickets that you could redeem at the store for stuff like jolly ranchers lawn sense or like a free turn in homework late pass or whatever and i had a ton of a strategy guides for pok mon games in a bunch of other games and i would rent them out for tickets so entrepreneurial did. It was a good time. You did better than me. I charge my little brothers for help in clearing like the water temple in zelda accoring of time every time they needed help us like it's quarter now someone for you know. That's good. that's also entrepreneurship. I didn't have any younger siblings. Two to profit for services and my classmates. I also like sorry. This tangents now but my fifth grade teacher. We actually had a two days in class where we were able to propose a topic to teach the rest of the class about and i wanted to teach the class about a the best strategies and kokomo pokemon in general and teach them about the world and she said that that does not have any real world applications so when all this however there there were people teaching people about football and and i find that teacher on facebook and send her a copy of every. Show that you've hosted about nintendo and poke them on products location..

"About zola's thirty fifth anniversary during the c. Theory i home. So i really hope so. I'm really still hoping that. Nintendo is like gonna pull the rug out from under us and show us like a compilation of zelda games. That like they did for super mario for their anniversary. I really hope so. I don't think it's going to happen. But i am. I'm now i'm ready to be swept off my feet. I am ready to be swept off. My i want too but i just worry. That nintendo is so careful about a destroying its own sales of something within the same franchise in the fact that skyward sword comes out a month after three. I don't see them announcing this huge news elva collection because i know personally if they announce some big thing for sixty dollars. That's yours hacker around putting my money compared to aid skyward sword each re master such. I have trouble thinking that something like that will be in this presentation. I think if anything if they will do anything about zelda thirty fifth anniversary they might announce a future presentation to look forward to after the release of skyward sword. Because of the reasons. That logan express you but i also am getting. I'm getting my expectations are getting more and more too. Because they didn't really do that. Much for the thirtieth anniversary resulted either. We got some Japan exclusive concerts. We of course got the original release of skyward sword and be collector's edition. That came with it. But they didn't do a whole bunch stateside. So i don't know maybe we won't get something as big of a celebration as we did from reo. Because i mean with. And you're watching intendo podcasts. Or probably fanta zelda. You probably think it's great like all of us here do but it's just not as big of a seller as mario is so i just kind of have to take that in consideration even the we think. I don't know i'm i'm speaking dismissal. Better that's gonna to say for the wild is like the greatest game ever made. Obviously nobody would deny that although there are people who are wrong with their opinions but however As great as abreast of the wild is as much as i love the legend of zelda series as much as it means to me like your grandmother knows who mario is like. They're going to make so much more money celebrating. Mario's like every fifth anniversary than they ever will with zelda even though zelda's nishi or anything pretty mainstream. It's not your grandma knows who link is. She probably thinks that the the little boy little boy's name is alta so than i am. I'm so sad that we're not having an in person e. three because i know so. So many other companies do can do hands on previews With like demo and dumb and everything with easing but nintendo. I don't think has done that so far since we have all been working from home and not been able to go in person so i don't. I'm not expecting any of us to be able to get hands on with any of these gains at aren't coming out right around the corner so unfortunately we won't. I don't think we'll be having that segment. I always look forward to. We all get to talk about the game. You played on the show floor that we're both excited for a but we'll do it anyway but yeah look forward to the intended. Direct at nine am p. t. On specific time on june fifteenth. A tuesday next tuesday tuesday after that. I believe nintendo voice chat will be doing a a like we'll be doing. Nbc like that day in reaction. Like right after the direct. I think i'll confirm. I'll make sure to put that in the in the comments. I'm just assuming that that's what would happen. I'm assuming we would do that. But yeah we'll get to that anyway. I think that's that's really all. I have to say about tennessee. Three plans this year except actually logan went back the twenty nineteen presentation which was the exact same length forty minutes and you broke down minute by minute. I'm how much time they spent on each so in comparison. Can you tell us about that. What you think that means the twenty twenty one presentation. Yes so twenty. Nine hundred was interesting because we had basically a game every month. Intendo was set to publish and we already knew all of them. Were going in if you remember. That was link's awakening astral chain. Fire emblem louise mansion pokemon. Certain shield were all coming in that next few months stretch and so it's a little bit different this year because the lineup is not quite as defined games though we know about like skyward sword. No more heroes. Mario golf pokemon in splatoon three out to next year Those loans we know about that. I think they'll hit on all of and in two thousand nineteen they spend between one minute. Thirty seconds four minutes on each of the previously announced games. We already know about so. I'm going to say they're going to spend about two. Each of those at that comes out to about twelve minutes. It was about twelve minutes of third party. Staus that's twenty four minutes there about three minutes of introductions store at twenty seven minutes. I think we'll get both smash characters that are left in the final fighters fast and that'll be about three minutes each which gives us to thirty three minutes which leaves us with seven to ten minutes if they go if you over forty like they did a couple years ago of completely new staff like ruffled to bayoneted three metric prime for an stuff that we don't know about so that's kind of what i'm expecting. I'm tempering my expectations. Sticking is going to be seven to ten minutes of the brand new shiny stuff that we all want to see. And i do think breath allowed to will be part of that and that probably leaves room for one probably two more surprise announcements big triple and intendo things. So that's what i'm expecting.

Bill's point. You know we've found that play versus helps drive discovery as well. You know fifty percent of our players on some of our most popular titles had never play a particular game before they started competing verses. And so we're going to be able to reach currently play both splatoon in smash in eventually mario kart deluxe. But you know we're also going to help bring new players to titles that's fantastic. Yeah absolutely. yeah and we're we're partnering with play has also to help ease onto the program There's gonna be You know. I think an an opportunity for select number of schools to be able to get a an intendo switch system into the school through play verses investments and efforts and from the nintendo side. We're going to be looking at Providing software to the schools that are participating And so there's there's going to be. I think You know a lot of opportunity for people who schools are already a part of play versus two to add these games and hopefully we'll also see more schools interested in adding you overall flavors as program to to their own sports offerings in their schools. That sounds fantastic in in guys. I guess we're just about out of time but is there any last. Comments are one of you would like to share about this This some partnership. Yeah i think clip this partnership tinto to us as a true testament to the product experience that we built for our community but also an indicator of the demand for competitive gaming at the scholastic level. And what a cultural forces become You know we really believed that you know we exist to serve our community and we're proud and humbled to be the wants to build this alongside them in partnership with new tinto and so We new tinto for trust in the play verses and we're excited to bring these titles to two schools across the country everywhere. Well dylan i just wanna take a moment to thank you and the team at play versus for all the work that has gone into this. It has been a great great partnership. Is i think a really great initiative and we're excited to be able to talk about it and announce this program and we're excited to see. Competition began in the fall at the high school level on both super smash brothers ultimate platoon to and for us. This is as i mentioned an important first step as we continue to look at ways to improve and enhance our support for competitive gaming across our games and platforms And we're really looking forward to seeing the fruits of this initiative and looking forward to continuing to share more information on future plans in support of competitive play overall so thanks again d'alene and really excited at at this opportunity. "My mom found an atari really really poor My mom money. She had bought me a used. Atari hurry from one of those used electronic stores and we ended up playing like burger master. Something you like. Put a burger together. When you're talking about burger type. I remember it now but it was. It wasn't adorable piece of machinery at the time. Nintendo was already out. We couldn't afford one of those She was just really thrilled. That i was able to operate the controller at all the earliest. When i played with super mario one and duck of course and then i had super mario three. But i never got super mario to. It's always bothered me. I played all of those although we have to touch on the fact that we shot ducks snowing. Dog often up in the middle your screen. And he's like my dad. We get angry. It'd be like why is that talk like right next to the tv. Tried to shoot the so to be clear. No dogs were harmed in the making of duck video game. not that i know of a outlet. You were diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy. Can you tell me a little bit about how it impacted you in gaming so spinal. Muscular atrophy is a sister disease to a less. So if you saw stephen hawkins' have you know anybody who is afflicted with a less than you kind of have an idea what i'm going through in my life. So essentially my muscles are getting weaker and weaker as time goes on where ellis is much quicker in its development. Sf can last for your entire lifetime. "Twenty twenty one. The year of the switch pro rumors continue as they always do since like maybe ten minutes after the switch released that we're going to get an updated model and i jen where we all work. Except for lily former years marines. You're always a marine. We asked several analysts. What they think sir can toto. Oh god so bad with pronouncing names of games canton said quote. I think switch pro will come in the second half of twenty twenty one end quote. So there's one in the maybe pile michael packer who everybody knows from wedbush securities. Said i would err on the side of no for this year. David cole of intelligence said nintendo can accomplish a lot just by making minor tweaks so i asked this i think every show panel. Are we getting a switch pro. This year casey. I would like to hear from you. What do you think as much as i would love a switch pro this year specifically a special edition monster hunter versions which pro so i can upgrade from my lunch switch. That is falling apart and feel good about it. You know probably not until the end of the year and the biggest reason. I'm saying that and of course nintendo is duped us before but doug bowser big boss at instead of america straight up shot that notion down in december. Didn't he just said it's not being. Why would we do that when we're selling so well just the regular nintendo switch switch light. He's got it like maybe left a little bit of interpret no very corporate. But no you're right they have said that like. Oh we're we're not gonna do it. Lily what are you figure. We're getting switch pro this year. I mean i think inevitably we are inevitably. I just don't think it's this year. I don't think it's the holiday either. 'cause i i think at this white they're going to be fine. Sell making revenue on the games that have been delayed and pushed out that. There's really no point in making a new console especially with the sales from the last year. I just don't. I just don't see it happening in twenty twenty one maybe twenty twenty two but i just give be a bit unfair that they're releasing the like red and blue nintendo switch. That's just coming out. Those people are some people are going to purchase that switch or maybe their second one to replace the original one. So why would they do that. And then just six months later released the like switch pro. I think it'd be a bit unfair. Not a good marketing strategy. No brian what are you thinking. I think i agree with everyone <hes>. Nintendo doesn't seem like they've ever been in the sort of arms race for the most powerful console and it doesn't necessarily seem like the the current switches holding back their vision in any meaningful way <hes>. Obviously we saw with the the recent hira warriors. All the game like things got a little choppy that definitely could have been could have benefited from being on some slightly better hardware but all in all it doesn't really seem like they're looking at their current model and going. Oh totally screwed here. We can't make any games. who wanna make. We're not selling anything like they're they're kind of firing on all cylinders and the i think the general audience doesn't really seem to care. She look at their bestselling games. None of them were really ones that could have benefited significantly from more power like animal crossing. No one was like. I really wish i could see like you know tom. Nuts individual stash hairs here mustache texture. I'm all for seeing tom. Nukes individual mustache textures. For the record. But i don't know if we need to see them this year.
