I spent the day baseball game today. So it was. Oh and sunny. And i haven't spent that much time outside in a long time so it kind of got a little bit sunburn. If you're watching on youtube you can see it Got some sun. Today it was nice. But i'm very excited to see your sunburn weird. It is so let's get into this current events right now. The rules there are new rules. Brad being tested in the low minor leagues specifically bigger basis in aaa Why why would just go through all of them. And i'll tell you why they're going to ban what they're calling extreme chefs in aa There's a step off rule in high a. And they're limiting to pick off attempts in low a. The third attempt the runner it's safe. It's considered a bach. Oh my goodness gracious. And then there's an automatic strike zone in the low a. southeast. Oh okay all right. So all of these rules are to get guys still in basis again like all of them bigger basis. You've got a little bit shorter distance between be between bases if you have Six inches less ground to cover the ideas that you're more likely to steal a base. recommended them for many many patients right yes that is correct you know in our men's long term care plan we do lots of care management and we're always looking for unique ways to provide the best services and keep our members as happy as possible living at home and one of the things we came up one with the robotic companion pets and we've had a lot of great success with them so far you know when I think of it I mean when I first got the information about the robotic cats I thought how can that be because I know how my cats are and it's kind of can a robotic cat really take the place of live cat so it's kind of the head spin because I'm just not sure but then I know for people with certain elements you know it makes it difficult to take care of a normal cat how did you come up with the idea of let's find it robotic cat for solutions for people that because you have most of your patients would be it would have like dementia or Alzheimer's yes many of our our members to have dementia or Alzheimer's or they're depressed or they're lonely or they used to take care of a a pet a dog or cat and they would love to still but they're not able to for many different reasons so when we first heard about these robotic companion pasal like wow let's check this out and I have to tell you from the get go it was really a win win for everybody now you ask can they really take the place of a live animal well no but they are the next best thing and for many people who can no longer care for pet because they maybe they can't walk or they can't bend down to you know pick up the map or to see the cat or they're living in there a senior building or maybe animals Arnold while these robotic pets are really the next best thing they provide great visual auditory and tactile stimulation they move like the cat's meow and her and moved and the dog bark went their tail moved their head they respond to touch and movement so what they really are the next best thing to like Pat no as you're talking about it I found myself you know with response and I'm thinking you know we take for granted where healthy that padding our cat feeding our cat died it's no big deal but for as you said for a lot of people this becomes something to where they are no longer able to work you know with various elements that they might have or like you mentioned also living conditions so and that how it's the next best thing when you say the move relate to touch and so forth how is it I could see someone with dementia and Alzheimer's having it be more like for lack of better were believable to them feel more real to them and someone that's just may be can't have a you know cat because they're in a building that doesn't allow it is it the robot cat that close to a real one all the cats really look very much like a real cat nearing the end of the line down position and even some of the staff that we work with in the first season like what was I thought that was a real cat well they they definitely from afar can look like a real cat and the media our is down the purring I mean the robotic so they're a little hard but you can still get back like it's been sitting in your lap even myself when I'm showing them to people and talking about them I find myself just petting the cat or the pop and it's really very relaxing and soothing for someone who may be agitated it's very therapeutic now Michelle by no means to any of our patients whether they have dementia or not are there not I'm the impression that these are real they understand that they are robotic but they do you find that they get comfort and joy white from interacting just like you know people find joy interacting with different toys and games it's their pubic and even though they know they're not real they are getting something back the more they touch or look they tested the cat is on me al more in a move it turns over a little bit so you can have the stomach area so they are getting something back yeah that's a good way that you put it because I was wondering I mean I am of course not in the medical field and you know I don't know what how to mention Alzheimer's the how it works with the nervous system now that and I'm glad you mentioned how you know they're not fooled but they are getting something from it so that's a great way to put it and yeah tactile stimulation just feeling the for the movement maybe some of the visually impaired they can still hear the barking the purring than the yellowing and you know those who have no visual impairments can you know see how cute the the animal is and and really enjoy interacting with it and many of our people do not have dementia and they're enjoying them they may be depressed or lonely I have some anxiety and just that repetitive motion of having the animal really ten studio and bring me down when I first heard about it you affect okay I'm an animal lover this really gonna work and then once I thought and thought how people interacted my next thought was why didn't I think of it it's really really fantastic okay we're gonna take a short break come back and talk a little bit more about this rate.

"On the ninety three W. I. B. C. lash out I got asked the question by producer about Michael Bloomberg because Bloomberg he is not running in Iowa or New Hampshire I think he's I think South Carolina is where he's starting his strategy and what sorry said to me is that that's not a good strategy didn't work out well for Rudy Giuliani so in the case of Rudy Giuliani running for president he put his strategy to South Carolina his South Carolina strategy did not work out and he was done in Giuliani I think when Israel since two thousand twelve two thousand eight that was two thousand your absolute right to have me he had some momentum and some opportunity don't think of the regional anti today he had there was some there was some feel there there was some fervor there but he could not make it work nor stick so the argument is is that the policy that strategy did not work out well for Rudy Giuliani I won't got work out well for for Michael Bloomberg allow me to give you the difference the difference is fifty three billion dollars as is being discussed in reported by the about the Bloomberg campaign they're gonna put a hundred million dollars into attack ads on Donald Trump that is the strategy this strategy is to get people to believe that Michael Bloomberg is the only person who can take on Donald Trump and to do this Michael Bloomberg isn't even paying attention to the field now he's paying attention to the people you'll notice he's out there today or was it over the weekend apologizing for stop and frisk policies in New York our own don't mind that they work in their constitutional he's apologizing for them pandering all he can but his ad blitz is gonna be focused on the idea that trump is the guy he's running against he's not running against one is not running and judge not running and Sanders or Biden or anybody else he's running against trump he is setting his own race and that's a smart idea that's a very very smart idea and I think the right one I'm as I'm voting form I'm saying that I I appreciate a strategy and this is a good strategy this is a valuable one by positioning it this way and now your force other people to chase him he's got the money to do it he doesn't have time star money he's got fifty three times Tom's dire money Bloomberg is a much more well known quantity M. Bloomberg is actually more engaging than Tom style so this all works the strategy is just fine because the strategy is not even dependent upon massive victory or success in South Carolina his his his strategy is on being around well nobody gets a margin of grouping of the delegates to be around to be around to get to be brokered convention where nobody gets enough delegates on the first ballot what happens then they changed the rules of superdelegates super delegates do not vote on the first ballot did you vote on the second ballot that's why people are judging the making phone call super delegates for months now I'll bet you anything they're super delegate will take Mike Bloomberg's call before they take people to just call that's the strategy not Giuliani this can work a Lisa stuff phonic Stephanie.

"On the circle ninety three W. Y. PC the vote for impeachment was held passed along mostly party lines bringing in the impeachment inquiry from behind closed doors and into the lights of public hearings those public hearings beginning of course next week but a lot has changed in the ensuing there in the intervening time and of course we turn to Dr route to help untangle an arm we've the complex cities of the impeachment process the focus of this week's edition over into the matter this is the will to the matter you're listening to Saturday night on the circle and I'm your host even Hatcher joined by Dr David professor of political science at the university of Indianapolis okay so impeachment it's still been proceeding behind closed doors for the time being but of course it's going to be put into public at the beginning of next week Republicans had the deadline to submit their requests for subpoenas by Friday to Adam shift and and that's what they did so be it tells about impeachment Dr what's been going on well like you said the a public hearings are going to start next week and I'll be two on Wednesday with bill Taylor and George can't then one on Friday with Marie yeah yeah I don't it's hard to say yet your fault never mind and she has testified behind closed doors all the testimony so far has been behind closed doors the Democrats did release or have released about twenty seven hundred pages of that particularly from Fiona hill and Alexander van man who testified and what they're getting to on that is that prior to the July twenty fifth phone call there was a meeting between the U. at between US officials and Ukrainian officials where it was said that if you cream wanted a meeting with trump then they had to supply the investigation this is the moving of the goal post that's about the most significant thing that has come out of the transcripts from the closed door hearings as we move forward what we're going to get is more testimony next week and the idea that the Republicans can subpoena witnesses who they want to which they want to subpoena hunter Biden they want to subpoena the whistle blower they want to subpoenas congressman chef to see what his involvement with the whistle blower perhaps could have been but the problem with that is is shift as the chairman of the intelligence committee ultimately makes the decision on whether or not these subpoenas can be granted and if he says no which likely he will the Republicans can appeal that but it the appeal goes to the entire committee and of course the committee has a democratic majority so effectively house much of the Republican subpoena powers are going to be and this is why it's important to win elections because when you win elections you have control over the process for very important things like impeachment proceedings yeah you do but again but you know the Democrats aren't the only ones to have won these elections the Republicans won the elections in the Senate which is where this goes if the Democrats in the house do in fact impeach trump that's not the end of the story it goes then to the to the Senate and the Senate will hold the trial with the Chief Justice will be the the presiding officer for and in order to convict and removed from from office you have to flip twenty Republican senators that's just almost impossible to happen now we've what about before the notion that within this impeachment inquiry Democrats to a certain extent have backed themselves into a corner because they have to proceed they have to take the vote they've already taken the first steps to do that with the inquiry not of course an official impeachment vote but that's coming within a matter of time and in fact CNN has hinted that impeachment may be likely some time as likely as sometime soon as around Christmas yeah okay now Democrats have backed themselves into a corner in the sense that they now have to move forward with it and either have to go through with a slow drip process to keep it at the forefront of the voters minds until the election next November or if they're moving forward with a very quickly as it as is the case with a potential impeachment vote by December then it seems to me that the strategy would be to go ahead and take their licks because they know they don't have the if they don't they know they don't have impeachment secured take their licks now and hope that the voters completely forget by the time election rolls around next the member as voters are off what want to do yeah I mean it's it's still a year out from the election so that that's quite a long time to forget the time line is interesting it's hard to say whether or not they're going to go slow or fast I the one thing that I don't know that anybody talk about not you want for them on C. N. N. if you go to C. N. N.'s website they are like impeachment headquarters like half of the front page is all impeachment stories well don't forget we covered that the project veritas audio that was dropped for hat tricks when they revealed that CNN is essentially a partisan institution run by the president who has a personal vendetta against the president yes I think that's precisely what I was getting back to but then also one of the reasons I think the Democrats are going for this too is because remember they have no argument on the economy and economies are generally what decide elections particularly presidential elections and so if they can dangle or a hang this little shiny object out with their left hand Dan say low Tate tension of that don't pay attention to what's in our right and the right hand because when the right hand is trumps economic argument and so I wonder if this is partly to just distract voters from how well the economy is doing and if that's the case I could see a drip drip drip strategy be eight playing into Democrats favor because once the impeachment is completely over and more than likely the Senate has exonerated or acquitted trump he's going to turn the impeachment inquiry against the Democrats and he's going to say and guess what the economy yeah it's blooming alternatively if Democrats move quickly they can then blame the stonewalling of the state Senate on partisan on the part on a partisan process so they could then you know kind of set up the argument that they weren't able to go through with impeachment because of its obstruction from the Republicans which is a narrative that of course they have tried to advance already he had except for the whole lake with scratch your head again the subpoena thing with the congressman ship yeah me so you know there's strategies for both sides another thing I wonder too with the Republicans is if they don't get their witnesses in front of Congress might invade then we roll them all out in the Senate and essentially you're going to have a dule partisan impeachment process where it all Democrats on the prosecution side in the house and the and the filing and it's all defense for trump in the trial phase in the Senate so I mean you know that that's one thing to think about too one of the witnesses that it seems to be pining for attention yeah former National Security Council director John Bolton subpoena me subpoena me want to sing like a bird yeah that appears to be what he's saying now his subpoena gets caught up in court right now because they're asking the judges whether or not because his material probably has to do with national security and foreign affairs which generally is top notch grounds for presidential executive immunity but he says that he's got information that hasn't been talked about yet he's got you know quote unquote news stories new stuff to tell and he but at the same time as a neo con unitary president kind of guy it doesn't make a lot of sense philosophically that he would want to go after trump here so maybe it's something personal I'm not yeah that's what I'm betting because look as it stands politics makes resume extremely strange bedfellows and when you're dealing with former national security director John Bolton you're dealing with a man who has a personal vendetta at stake here he's got you know a a a little bit he's playing in the guy's got some skin in the game yeah that's why he got canned from the White House that's the idiom I was searching for so yeah he's got a reason to be peeved at trial and it's not like he's going for any other kind of elected office in the in the near term future so partnering with Democrats may be his next move perhaps but yeah you're right you know he he is begging basically to have his subpoena honored so that he can come and testify especially now that it's going to be public before the house intelligence committee well it's going to be interesting to see where this goes especially next week as the impeachment proceedings are brought into the public and as the cameras get flipped on hopefully we'll be getting some more I don't know something more productive out of it than what's coming to come about so far so because so far it seems like it's just been a process to distract from the presidency more than it's been a process to actually advance an initiative to derail it what do you think they are going to impeach trump I think they're in the house I think that's that that's almost four gone by most speculation yeah that background conclusion accord about speculate so he will become the if that happens he will become the third president who was impeached but then again just remember that does not mean he's removed from office that becomes the Senate's jurisdiction right in the center it's unlikely to follow through so whatever we will obviously be following this story as it continues to develop and hopefully you know Hey we were there may be an end to it by Christmas so one can only hope what would that be a Christmas present yes you're listening to Saturday night on the circle stay tuned more to come go tell you about an Australian man they got an instant dose of karma the good kind and I think at this store is going to put a smile on your face so stay tuned for that twenty twenty twenty twenty twenty twenty election a moderate candidates to be dealt from to be very smart about running a selection.

C.. it is. in Indianapolis and we're glad you could join us for their show lots to cover this week believe it or not from news of the weird to news that you need to hear intelligence whistle blower tattle tailing on trump Trudeau covered in black face just a whole heck of a lot going on building Kamio leaving the race you know channel canelo yeah helicopter in genitalia don't want to miss that I mean you know any time you can hear about the male copulatory organ helicopter into somebody's hands that's a conversation you need to hear and you'll hear it on Saturday night on the circle where on your host Ethan Hatcher and I'm joined by today professor of political science at the university of Indianapolis now right now going on on the circle is something very very cool it's called the kind harvest is hosted by the mid west food bank over five hundred people are gathered being served gourmet farm fresh food right on monument circle all in an effort to raise money for charity and feed the homeless and hungry the needy in Indiana and around the Midwest and I think that is a glorious glorious terrible organization and a because well worthy to donate and contribute to it's good it's good to see people involved in the city you know and actively contributing that's absolutely yeah yeah I mean these are these are people who are truly are involved in their community and tap in and reaching out to help so you know I mean this is they're doing the work that the government doesn't do they're actually raising the hard dollars to feed the people in dire need where government you know often drops the ball that's the power of the individual and private charity as compared to the the over the overwhelming government behemoth and I got a nice night for that other outside great weather great food on the if you if you see the way they've got it situated is like a half moon of tables around the circle I guess if I mean five hundred is a decent amount of people and they're all being served by a by these waiters you know he's at school stuff yes very. and a night for a good cause yeah and for a good cause so we want to highlight that you know just kudos to them hats off from Hatcher in other news okay now I'm not sure if you heard this because it just happened late in the week but a intelligence whistleblower now supposedly the phone conversation happened on was August fifteenth August sixteenth and it took a couple of weeks for it to be processed within the intelligence department where ultimately after having consulted with this justice department V. complaint is being held no we don't know this is the fun part about how the whistleblower we don't know who the whistleblower is we don't know technically what they were sad what promises were made or even to whom they were made but supposedly this is very very bad now sources who are close to this this affair and this is the second plane allege that it is involves Ukraine that's what I have seen as well ha ha Ukraine and Joe Biden and I believe it was Joe Biden's son right hunter yes hunter Biden who we covered on the show in fact you can find the episode trouble in the house of Biden on to be ID see on the show page Saturday night on the circle you can find all of our podcasts up loaded their each and every week that particular episode was trouble in the house of Biden where we detailed both the scandalous Beria's affair of hunter Biden as well as his past doings in Ukraine and we speculated that the time that that could damage the Biden campaign and. it looks like that prophecy may be coming to fruition possibly we don't know because again details are sparse but what it take trump out in the process of that through this whistleblower well I mean they're alleging that the the bribes were made by. we're gonna have we're gonna have to see what the substance is we don't know what the substance is I mean everything's supposed to take out from every other week something's going to impeach trumpet nothing ever sticks so you know what hence I asked the question and yet what tribe actually himself is very dismissive of this because of course he was asked about the whistle blower incident he is what he had to say with the warriors the.

C. dot com nine thirty two back to the checks we were talking about her she to leave in the last segment and how the Israeli foreign minister when after her after she back backed out of going to see her grandmother because it's way more important to be political obviously than it is to see your am all your grandma yeah and her grandma is now speaking out because naturally the press is going to run over and find Rasheeda to leaves grandmother to get their statement about how much your grandmother hates trump this is obviously what they're gonna do so her name is mafia I guess is how he's moved tia to leave yeah so any trump tweeted that she he was like Hey the good news is that her grandmother doesn't have to see her well because that's the trophy way to handle this right from being and actually of course and so the grandmother responded trump tells me I need I should be happy or she is not coming may god ruin him well that's that seems she's been planning to slaughter sheep for the occasion of course I mean what else would you do if your grand grand daughters come to visit you're gonna kill she right and eat at having for dinner that's exactly right so I mean as you said I feel like we've done a good machine we saved we saved a sheep you got I think that's fantastic that's you know I mean all the vegan should be really happy about that yeah it should be thrilled they should be celebrating and all the vegan said area what they did now house Democrats are apparently considering action against the US ambassador to Israel and the Israeli ambassador to the U. S. shocked race I know right this is so dumb Israel has every right to keep out someone who is trying to harm them and that is essentially what airline Omar and retreated to leave we're intending to do that's that's what they do every time they support BDS so it's a it's absolute nonsense do that it's it's legal for them to do that they can do that and how come they're not upset about all the countries that don't let Israelis into their borders where's all the action against those ambassadors I mean give me a break well it's because it's trump and be be your friends in anything that trump is is sort of involved with their just like civil rights or something they're just mad because trump is involved in this and it's the the squad and they're just mad they have to make this about them and grandstanding and posturing and just show up right well and I was stunned that bill Maher is actually the voice of reason on this matter I can't believe this either this was absolutely incredible so he he had his shows on Friday nights and it's on HBO and so he he normally has as a panel of people to discuss these issues with and it was funny because he was asking this panel you know what it what are your thoughts about these women not being allowed entry blah blah and so he asked them are we missing a huge point here with respect to BDS none of them would address that and so finally he just is decided to address it himself and here is what he said the the **** of purity test by people who want to appear well but actually slept through history class.
