For Cal in the Big Game, its always maybe next year

"You're listening to the spoken edition of the San Francisco Chronicle. For Cal in the big game. It's always maybe next year. There are times when a habit never grows old Stanford's football program nose. The feeling no matter how often the cardinal beat cow, and that's nine street wins after Saturday's twenty three thirteen victory. There's an exhilarating freshness to carrying the axe around the field, and it's all the sweeter. If it happens in strawberry canyon. There wasn't much to say about the game. Not with the bears. Simply refusing to accept the golden opportunities coming their way, there were no trombone players on the field. No mud-soaked miracles or fond farewells Trump beloved coach, none of the vivid developments that have characterized the big games history. And it's not such a crushing development for the bears. Seven five who will feel better about things when they're bowl game to be determined. Sunday comes around later this month. Still nothing discuss Cal sporting community. Like the site of Stanford winning this game with the student section big. Sunlight people. Were in. No rush to leave not even after Paulson debates. Forty three yard interception return setup. Stanford's final score in the weaning minutes. This had been terrific day for attendance to the point where the announced figure of fifty seven thousand eight hundred fifty eight actually seemed a few thousand short making a pleasant. Contrast to the desolate Levi stadium Friday nights Pac twelve championship game, oddly, the only disappointing attendances you was on Stanford's end of the six sections set aside for the red-clad visitors in the stadium southeast corner. Some were notable for their vacancy, but the voices were loud and proud backed by the ever ninety Stanford band, and those people got a mighty reward at game's end heading their way trotting joyously across the field. We're seniors Jake Bailey. JJ Sega Whiteside and Ryan Beecher toting the weighty impressive acts as so many Stanford players have done before in a rivalry carrying this much tradition. You'd like to think they trade the thing off on occasion. But. This trophy has become strictly farm property. It's always maybe next year for cow. Always a sense of envy and regret. Nobody expected the bears passing game to even approach Stanford's high-powered attack led by quarterback cage Acosta. Hello and our Sega Whiteside who entered the game with fourteen touchdown catches. And yet the chances were there and roundly blown in the second quarter with Stanford leading ten three quarterback. Chase Garber had Jordan Dunkin open in the end zone on a third and five pass from the seven yard line. But overshot him Dunkin barely getting a fingertip on the ball the bear settled for another. Greg Thomas field goal wide receiver. Jeremiah Hawkins had a couple of nice catches on the day. But he'll mostly be remembered dropping a perfect pass along the right sideline in the third quarter costing the bears about a twenty yard play and killing Dr. Then there was a deebo spectacular end zone. Interception early in the fourth quarter. Notable by the fact that the intended receiver MO ways was nowhere near the ball. All when garbs finally connected on a touchdown. Throw an eleven yard Dunkin. There were just ten seconds left in the game. He's a younger player, and he's got to continue to improve coach Justin Wilcox that have gardeners. I thought he took a step forward. One hundred ninety seven yards passing to Custos two hundred thirty seven even though there were some opportunities. He would love to have back. You're going to have a tough time beating Stanford if you're not scoring touchdowns in describing the mood of his post game locker room Wilcox said everybody's kicked in the gut. And as the regular season ends that could apply in large part to the entire pack twelve aside from the lamentable TV contract and ever do be officiating. The championship game is an ongoing disaster Levi stadium with a contract running through next season and an option for twenty twenty beyond that it's likely to find a more lively neutral site home in Las Vegas. But if anyone's thinking clearly that game should be returned to the home fields of top seeded teams as it was in two thousand thirteen. In Stanford overcame, a hostile setting to win at Arizona state. Then again, it's tough for anyone to think clearly when packed off Commissioner Larry Scott seem so consistently misguided even the Washington and Utah fans were booing Scott during Friday nights postgame ceremony. But why so many reasons I'd start with the fact that college football, and especially the Pac twelve needs an eighteen playoff. While Scott preposterously insists that four is absolutely the right number as for the lingering mood after Saturday's big game. It was a time for Stanford's Victoria's chance and Cal second thoughts. There's nothing you can tell our guys right now that will make them feel better said Wilcox. There was deep appreciation. However for a home crowd that finally resembled a big time collegiate atmosphere gazing into the jam-packed eastern stands. I just stood there at enjoyed the moment said senior Maliki McMorris the rumble. "Pettiest? Away static just made the greatest mistake of all time. Would you want to go back to the they'll just follow your lead o all going off a cliff hit a wall? Here we go. I'm gonna play the sounder. And then the TV crew has to figure out which story I'm doing. Okay, Donald go. Well. Well, Friday night the match between. Now just does. Shawn Watson touchdown passes. Another score as the Texans set a franchise record with their eighth straight win thirty four seventeen over the titans on ESPN's Monday night. Didn't like the way this game was going early on Tennessee jumps out to that ten point lead. But then Houston took control really with the running game. Two hundred eighty two hours rushing ninety seven coming on one run by Lamar Miller match that he had ninety seven yard run when he was in Miami dolphin back in two thousand and fourteen defense. Get six sacks just by the four guys basically upfront. Their main pass rush yourself rarely do they have to send extra which is a big coup for them. And you have one of the best receivers in the game deandre Hopkins. You didn't have the touchdown catch last night. First time in five games. Tell me about. Thomas thomas? Thank you had to last. I you're waiting for him to get him to get more involved. Golden State to get more involved in Philly. Amari Cooper is beginning very involved in Dallas, the wide receivers that were traded before the trade deadline. I think obviously thumbs up for Houston. Even though Bill Brian after eight straight wins is really kind of holding back with any kind of enthusiasm. When we talk about the rushing numbers from last night over two hundred and eighty on the ground for Houston, and we know one hundred sixty two of those belong to Lamar Miller seventy belong to Shawn Watson as a career high for him right now tied a franchise record. And that was something that we know is certainly an element of his game. But the one that I worry about the most because he's not an overly large guy. And we see like some of the hits that him. And Mario took last night. We're cringe-worthy for two quarterbacks that have been certainly does. Shawn Watson last year the knee injury a bit of an outline. But Mario this year's had difficulty. Feel having feeling in his hand at certain times, you worry about these guys getting beat up. I'm glad you said that. Because as I was watching that game. Dang, there are some it's being put on some of these players. Justin Reed smoked a couple of players. They were big time hits a cringe-worthy if your quarter. Well, you talk about we talked about this with the read option when it came into prevalence in the NFL, but ends we're gonna take off on quarterback. Jay, Debbie and cloudy got into the backfield when they tried to run the Mario to an absolutely waylay dude off that pitch, and it was totally legal because he was a runner, and he was a part of that action. Now was like, maybe that's why you don't run the place. Absolutely. That the chance you take you know, when you're going to do that the ball was in the quarterback hands man they're fair game for that split second. And you know, you take advantage of if you can. Yeah. That's why that that that pass to Andrew luck on fourth one. We had jump up and land on his shoulder like immediately scrape that one from the playbook we are not doing that again. I never saw that before where the quarterback splits out. And Jacoby percent was the quarterback. Andrew luck split out a through to them. I I was I was amazed to see that we had gotten so used to Joe flacco not bandy out. Lamar Jackson package. Patrick sorta. I'm Blitzer because they're not going to throw to.

"Podcast after hours, Amy, Lawrence dot com. Lamar Miller goes ninety seven yards for a touchdown. How crazy is that? In the same weekend of the NFL season. We get to play from the lightest Greenwich that go ninety seven yards. Oh, wait only. One of them is an RTD of the week, Paul wall. Wall wall. I'm not going to tell you anything else you're gonna have to wait and hear it or check out the poll on social media. So Lamar Miller has a breakout run and then ends up with one hundred sixty two yards. Himself Watson has seventy yards on the ground and other to ten through the air three total touchdowns. And then you've got to marry his Thomas, so the acquisition and trade from the Denver Broncos. It was a slow start for him trying to get acclimated to the offense and the language in the schemes. And he has this verse two touchdowns with the Texan. So great balance in the offense. In addition to seeing the deep bench do what the defense does. And I appreciate what J J watt said a few weeks ago is that they will take a win. However, they can get it. They will do whatever it takes to get a victory and what you're seeing over. The course of this franchise record eight game win streak is that the Texans are not one dimensional. They're not even two dimensional. This is a team that can beat you in a variety of ways, including Watson and the offense. Seems gonna make plays. But today, we feel like we're match. Matchup is better than the opposing team. And you've got to have that mindset level out. They're scared or timid because the team's gonna have vanished. So each and every snap is going to make sure we go out there and give it our all. Matchup Tennessee, the great job. They came out ready to go and drove the ball down the field. And then we had a three and which was just a brutal drive. Led by me. And so we just made some adjustments. We knew we had a good game plan. We just had to just a few things. And you know, the the players did a great job. I remember as recently as oh. The first month of this season when the Texans started out, oh and three and you had people calling for Bill O'Brien to get fired. Right then and there but what I appreciate about the Texans. And of course, has a comes from the top. And it would have had a lot to do with the philosophy and the the ability. Well, the philosophy of Bob McNair and the ownership but also their belief in in not upset in the apple cart did not constantly making changes that head coach and wanting to see how this played out. So the patients of the Texans brass Bill O'Brien has not been fired they've gone through a rough patch. The last couple of years so many injuries last year. What did Marc Vandermeer tell us seventy eight different guys suited up and played for the. Texans over the course of the year seventy eight which was a modern day NFL record. But the victim's family and the the front office stuck with Bill O'Brien. And now you're seeing it pay dividends. And yeah, you gotta ride the wave. Sometimes it's more important to remain consistent and to have that continuity as opposed to constantly uprooting. Not just your coaching staff, and then forcing your players to adjust to a new system and new voices and new meetings and new schemes and knew everything else changed for the sake of change is not a positive thing..

"The end of those for the foreseeable future. Although we did just recently is this year have a Brock Tober yet again. So who knows the Bortles could still rise got plenty on that clapback from an NFL quarterback. One of our very own got to deal with yesterday. And of course, me trying to still figure out how much I'm willing to buy into the Texans because last night Monday night football the Houston Texans beat the Tennessee titans. Thirty four to seventeen tighten up. No longer it. Appears that short-lived flirtation with the titans possibly being a contender in the. Much-maligned AFC south seems like a thing of the past at this point with their recent skid buffer Houston on the other side a team that went out rushed for over two hundred yards last night on the back of Lamar Miller. Ninety seven yard touchdown run. Going up against Marcus mariota doing his best impression of Philip rivers. From the other day trying to match or exceed that completion percentage record completed. His first nineteen pass of the game twenty two or twenty three on the night. Obviously coming off of Philip rivers twenty eight or twenty nine performance this Sunday over it wasn't enough. And for Mario to they were a lot like Philip rivers performance short passes that weren't buoy by the rest of the team performance. But the Jaguar excuse me that the chargers could provide the titans could not on the other side of the Houston Texans. This is a team now that has rattled off eight straight wins. Their playoff. Odds are now up to ninety six percent after starting the season Owen three where their chances were down to fourteen percent. We do those stats all the time at the beginning of the year teams that start owing to have blanked percentage chance of making the playoff. Oh in three seemed like a death sentence. And then they rattled off a very sort of Aaron Rodgers asks stretch of wins that have now put them in the driver's seat. Hell maybe even got a twenty six percent chance to have a playoff by the third. Best figure in the AFC at this point. So it's how much do you believe because right now this team is healthy and firing on all cylinders in a way that I have to acknowledge. I mean last week or the week before I sat up here and said, I I think the colts are the best team in this division. Man. There's part of me that still thinks that just because of all of the commodities in this division. And this is not a slight to Shawn Watson. But rather I think a testament to how great Andrew luck truly is on his best day. And now that he's got protection where I wouldn't still look long and hard. At the colts for that reason and the match up between these two teams potentially. The matchup between the colts and Texans. One that we get in two weeks in Houston is extremely interesting to me because on the defensive side of the ball. You've got JJ watt playing like the defensive player of the year again, the early season rust being knocked off from a back injury and all the litany of things. JJ watt is essentially been like a rob gronkowski on defense. As far as the attrition that his body has suffered and he is managed to come back and look every bit like the guy that we remembered and now he gets to do it with a healthy and competent JJ jadeveon clowney right next to him. But if you listen to their head coach Bill O'Brien. Channeling every bit of the ballot. Check he could muster up. Steam, still hasn't accomplished much of anything. I think we're playing better complimentary football. And I think our special teams is doing a very good job. I think our coverage in still good job return game is better. And hopefully, it can continue because we really like I said like we haven't done anything, you know, we've won eight in a row. Everybody clap for that. That's fantastic. But like what have you done? You haven't really done much. I am is my goal junior here on ESPN radio and the ESPN app somewhere. Whatever proud looks like for Bill Belichick, and I don't know how demonstrative that set of emotion is he's gotta be that version of proud listening to Bill O'Brien pooh-poohed the accomplishments of his football team is now one eight straight games. How about Lamar Miller too? It's in a world where we saw juju Smith Schuster with a ninety seven yard touchdown this weekend. He became the believe the only player with multiple ninety seven plus yard touchdowns on his resume. Lamar Miller says anything you can do I can do better. Lamar Miller with the I ninety seven yard touchdown run since his ninety seven yard touchdown run back in two thousand fourteen when he was a member of the dolphins. He becomes the only player in NFL history with multiple ninety seven yard runs. So now, we got a magic number ninety seven dancing around and all our brains and for Houston vet emergence of a run. Game at a time. And we're going to have a an interesting talk this morning about paradigm is in the NFL because we seem to be at this strange crossroad where a lot of people, and I've heard know the analytic, I Anna little movement idea that running the football doesn't matter. And I'm even someone's that subscribes to the idea that if you don't run, well, forcing a run game over over what you need to do is detrimental in my mind. But this idea that are running game doesn't matter. Hell as recent as last year in the playoffs where three of our four final four quarterbacks in conference championship weekend. We're replacement level backup quarterbacks we had this idea floating around that in two thousand seventeen you did not need a marquee quarterback in order to be competitive fast forward to a year later, and we are busy critiquing Aaron Rodgers for a couple of overthrows in turf balls in a game the other night because the standard for quarterback play has been so high this weekend that anything that falls short of perfection. As we've seen with Marcus mariota. And with drew Philip rivers this weekend. Because they're paced by drew Brees because we're paced by Patrick Mahomes, that is sort of the burden at this point is that's the level that you are expected to reach. And so last night, we had Marcus mariota who is a guy that we're trying to kind of figure out still how he fits in. Now, we've got what we believed to be competent offensive coordinator, Matt leflore who's going to run more of a modern version of the NFL offense. When variable and company came over they said, we're going to let this guy run more of the things that made him successful in college, exotics, mathematics smashmouth is dead and gone. But then on the other side, you've got Houston who does not still protect the Shawn Watson, very well from hits either in the pocket or otherwise some of the design runs early in the game that you saw for him were cringe-worthy kind of hits that he was taking. I don't think he takes good enough care of himself at certain times. But he's the Texans seemed to have one of those Martine Cornerbacks. And if you can't protect them overly well, then a ground game ends up becoming your version of. Of protection when you were allowed in be able to keep a defense off-balance the way that they were last night because one ninety seven yard run. Only gets you a small portion of the way to two hundred and eighty plus yards rushing. There's still a lot more work that they down the ground very consistently last night. That makes your play action more competent that makes everything else a little bit easier on a group that I still don't know outside of a couple parts is able to protect him at the level that a lot of his counterparts are afforded to Shawn Watson Texans quarterback answered some of his critics that have been around during this NFL season. We just focus on those. We don't we don't worry about the outside noise. We knew what this team was about. And you know, we gonna start a slower on the season. Plays away from three knows but far away. But those mistakes and make sure that we stay on top of the game and kept grinding. You know, we just focus on that locker room and everyone in that locker we made sure that we stay focused on each and every we took it when we.

"Side has the Ted has the five going for the quarter. Fifteen yard touchdown run for the shot Watson. And here's Miller over right guard has a little on Brexit tackle, Ted fifteen twenty right side, twenty five thirty five. Side by the forty fifty. He's going to go all the way thirty twenty. Five. Role. Touchdown. Ninety seven yards. For you. Bob, Bob McNair, being the late owner of the Houston Texans who passed away the day after thanksgiving, and he was honored in a pre-game ceremony. It was a video tribute first. And then the Texas A&_M singing cadets, presenting amazing grace, and you had a big message up on the video board that had four words that really represent what Bob McNair was all about faith, family, philanthropy and football and bringing football back to Houston after they had lost the Oilers. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio. The voice of the Texans is Marc Vandermeer. And he's going to join us thirty minutes from now on CBS sports radio. So we'll get Mark to help us break down the science behind this eight game win streak, but it certainly helps when you've got two hundred eighty one yards rushing. Also a franchise record. How about that? So not only have they won eight consecutive games for the first time ever. They just set a new record with two hundred eighty one yards rushing Miller. A big reason why not only did he have that ninety seven yards camper. But he went one hundred sixty two yards total and then Watson had seventy yards himself on nine carries. Now, they weren't all designed runs some of them were scrambles. But we know that he's the guy who can make plays with his legs. Couple of interesting things first of all Lamar Miller. Is the only guy who's ever rushed for two touchdowns of at least ninety five yards. The only guy the history of the NFL not sweetness. Walter Payton, not Barry Sanders. Not Adrian Peterson LA LA LA, not Tim Brown. I could go on and on and on all the great running backs. Don't ask me if I didn't include your favorite. But to ninety seven yard touchdown run for Lamar Miller only guy ever to do it twice over ninety five yards. That is exactly right. So Lamar Miller you win the dubious prize of being the subject of a nerd alert. Nerd alert. Maria's Thomas also caught a pair of touchdowns. So he's clearly getting settled in to the Texans offensive system. And there was a stretch in this game as they were rattling off twenty seven points in a row. This is again after falling behind ten zip. Where I felt like everything they tried worked. And it all starts with controlling the line of scrimmage ostensibly end defensively. So again, the six sacks the quarterback hits putting pressure on Mario data. What titan did get over one hundred yards rushing? But it was sporadic. They really didn't never look like they had a ton of momentum. And gosh when you watch this Texans offense. In the last month or so. And now adding to marry his Thomas to it, you think okay? This is a team that can win a variety of ways. We know what the defense is all about we know they can win the knock down drag outs like the game against the Cowboys nineteen sixteen like the game against the Broncos in Denver nineteen seventeen. It came down to a field goal, but they had a game against the dolphins in Houston where they scored forty two points. Now here they are putting up thirty four against the titans and the other titans were top ten in the NFL against the run so much for that. It's after hours here on CBS sports radio. So I don't know that I was surprised at the Texans. One not with the kind of momentum. They've got right now the confidence the way they're playing again, the fact that they can beat you variety of ways. But the fact that they were able to establish the running control the trenches that's something that Tennessee does really well, but they got overpowered on both sides of the ball by Houston. And you can't ever underestimate what it means to have the emotion of paying tribute to someone so important in the history of this franchise. And in this case, they did have a special decal on the uniforms and had that pre-game tribute as I mentioned to honor, Bob McNair. I think these players even the younger guys who really didn't have a chance to know him. Very, well, I think everybody understood. From the veteran players, you know, what Bob meant to this organization and. The handled it the right way. And that was that was a good win a tribute to Bob McNair. So again, we will have Marc Vandermeer the voice of the Texans on their radio network. Joining us from Houston in twenty five minutes. We'll ask him about the impact of Bob on not just the franchise, but on the city of Houston, and what happened in Tennessee? And how does this affect the AFC standings? We've also got QB news tonight from the giants. The Jaguars the Bengals and Tom Brady weighs in on Philip rivers record. That did stand. Marcus mariota. Did not knock that one over toppling over and set his own straight ahead. Kevin Durant is carrying the warriors. You know, they had lost four games in a row around thanksgiving. So they hadn't lost four games in a row in the entire Steve Kerr era, but they dropped four games in a row. They're still waiting on Steph. Curry Draymond green is out as well. And now you've got Kevin. Durant? Who may or may not have one foot out the door, but the man can still play basketball. And so he's got a single handedly put the warriors on his back. Plus really neat to be buried trots. Finally, get his blaming as the Stanley Cup winning coach of the capital's. Who's now with the islanders that happened on Monday night. Thanks so much for tuning and you can find me on Twitter Ayla radio. We will have our Twitter Tuesday question as we head through this particular show. Stephen A.: 'I'm embarrassed by what I'm seeing from the Pittsburgh Steelers

"Me let me to just a little bit allow me to express to you the alarming level of frustration that I on questionably feel at this particular moment in time. I cannot put into words how disgusted I am. That the Pittsburgh Steelers ended up losing this game. I can't even put it into words. Ben Rothlisberger four hundred sixty two yards passing wasted. James connor. He's no Le vian bell. Juju Smith Schuster, thirteen receptions, one hundred and eighty nine yards wasted. For two reasons above all else. Big Ben Rothlisberger leading the league in red zone interceptions. Do another one yesterday was Shelby Harrison defensive lineman getting blocked in the coverage. And ultimately Ben Rothlisberger throwing the ball right to. Now. We can make the argument that it's the freakish interception that Ben Rothlisberger may have ever thrown as he so eloquent it in the aftermath of their twenty four to seventeen loss to the Denver Broncos yesterday. Denver Broncos team. That's now beating the charges in the Steelers in back to back weeks, by the way, we could go that route. All we can state the obvious. If you watched it throw, ladies and gentlemen, it was an interception. No matter what. Whether it was Shelby, all whether it was Roe. I'm sorry. Shelby. Harris. Oh, whether it was Roby who had. Antonio Brown completely covered. I don't know what the hell big. Ben Rothlisberger was thinking throwing that pass made absolutely positively no sense. Whatever you can point to that specific interception. But it was going to get into septic. It was going to get into septic. There is no doubt about that. There's absolutely positively. No doubt about that. Yet despite case keenum only one hundred ninety seven yards. Despite the fact that Denver didn't have the most formidable run a game to speak of. They still ended up winning the game. I mean Lindsay did have one hundred ten yards on fourteen carries. That's almost eight yards per carry. I got it. But the real culprit and all of this was bent. It was turnovers from Connor. It was a drop touchdown pass from Washington. I mean, I'm just looking around right now at the Pittsburgh Steelers. And I can't even express. The level of my frustration. Because you see regardless of how. But thank Pittsburgh secondary looked earlier in the season. They had got things together. They were looking a little bit better. But now, I'm of the monster. They lost that game yesterday. And I said, dammit, they just lost a trip to the AFC championship game. Now. Now, I'm not saying that laser gentlemen, mama's saying that it's a very simple explanation. And you know, what that explanation is? It's the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers now dropped to what is it a fourth seed. Or at least a three seed in the AFC that means Kansas City and New England both ahead of you. That means to get to the AFC championship game. You're going to have to be one of the other one a row, and I don't think they're going to do that. Now had the Steelers and all likelihood possibly fighting for birth to the AFC championship game at Arrowhead stadium against the kids City Chiefs. You know, what if you had home games prior to that one could stand the believe who knows what kind of upset could transpire maybe I'll get lucky. Now, it's no way in hell.

"We had the Texans and chiefs playing each other to Shawn Watson first game back from his injury only through one pass completed for four yards. Joe Webb Brandon waiting. A lot of snaps after that. Joe Webb went six thirteen. Throwing the ball fifty six yards. Brandon Weeden nine of eleven ninety seven yards and two touchdowns would have Brandon Weeden case keenum where it took a while for case came to become a decent quarterback but nauseous time. I mean, that could be the case for Brandon. Weeden couldn't it. And how old is Brandon? When he's going to be like what thirty right now? I'm assuming 'cause he was what? Thirty or twenty six coming into the league. Let's see the dudes. Thirty four years old. Is he really. I'm in shock right now. Let's see. Brandon Weeden came into the league in two thousand twelve. So it's been about what six years since then. Twenty eight in the league. I don't understand why the Browns took a twenty eight year old quarterback. What sense does that make. I don't understand this team at all. I mean, the dude thirty four years old has managed to. Create a decent little backup quarterback career. I mean, if you're backup quarterback and you come no one's expecting touchdowns all that. That's why you're the backup. So I'd say Brandon. Weeden them pretty well from self over his NFL career. I mean, dudes cash million dollar checks, and I mean, it's ridiculous how old he is. A week might be one of the weirdest football players hours considering the fact of the dudes thirty four years old. And he's only played six seasons. Anything else notable Damian Williams was Kansas City's leading rusher newly-acquired five carries twenty yards there. Patrick Mahomes threw seven passes completed five of them for thirty three yards. I think he's a working progress. Obviously, Lamar Miller for the Texans, ran the ball four times for twenty nine yards as far as receiving Braxton Miller had three catches for twenty eight yards. And as far as the chiefs go yet tyreek hill to pass for seven yards. Travis Kelsey to passes twenty two yards in their leading receiver was Marcus Robinson with three catches forty yards in touchdown. So. We'll see I the ends of going for the chiefs this season. Obviously. I mean, Patrick Mahomes. He's needs to be great in order for the playoffs again. So I guess we'll see how it all goes down, but either way we're gonna wrap it up here today we talked Brown's jets Redskins. And then for this segment, talked about roquan Smith and couple of other preseason games. So thanks released into the football podcast. As always I am your host Jesse top you.
