What Is The Best Way To Menu Plan During Coronavirus

"I'm just going to start out by saying thank you. Thank you for taking back into another episode of Kids Nutrition. I know I haven't been very consistent with the podcasting schedule. I just haven't been able to stick to it because I have both Michael's home and although my four year old is pretty good. Should give me an hour here or there. My youngest is she is full of life. She loves to have conversation with me all the time. Which does May podcasting bit tricky? Because of course it's all about the audio now at the time of recording this. I am deep thick in the middle of lockdown. And it may be that you're in in much more settled place while I know the initial stages of quantities of panic and worry and it is still wearing time but I hope that we are going to start seeing the light at the end of the total very very soon and of course I wanted to share with you that today. We're going to focus all about many planning. And I think it's still quite relevant to talk about Baker's it's one of things where it just. It's so easy to overlook and you think you know what I'll get to that a substate. It's it's so easy. I'll get my nanny to do it or I'll I'll find someone to help me do that or get to it in the weekend and in the weekend comes and goes and it never gets done and the new fine. You've got twenty bags of pasta but not in our protein foods and he realized that you pronounce vegetables as well. All what may it may be and maybe that weekly Accardo delivery that you that you've been lucky enough to get. Actually you didn't haunt ingredients that you had order. How are you going to feed your family? Who is now at home expecting to be fed three means plus Max? My kids always saying to me. Well Hungry and I used to all cash then are at school at nursery. That I'm going to be burning much energy. Well they have so much energy they are jumping on the serve. They literally running up and down day burning so much energy and they love the routine as you would expect jury so it's really really important. Think about many planning and we all going to launch into that content very shortly but I just wanted to say I received a series of very sad news and I want to do especially have a moment to think about my colleague who very recently passed away nothing to do with Corrina virus but it is it was very unexpected news and I just want to. I was thinking about how much he loves baking and cooking and I wanted to take a moment to just remember her she. She very similar age to me and she was really special bakers especially when I came back from maternity leave. I enjoyed lots of lunch dates with her in the hospital where I was working at and certainly do maternity leave. I had a few play dates with with my children so I I'm going to really miss and I feel sad but I think she would've loved this topic today on many planning and she would have been able to share some great recipes but here we are and I saw wish that I had planned more. Get togethers and time with her pickers. Now she's gone. I won't have that opportunity anymore and I'm definitely feeding very sad and full of regrets. So here's the many planning something she would loved especially because she loves baking and was definitely the best Baker in the Department Equity Woman Street. So I'm really miss. This episode is for her before I forget him because Ulta going to let you know that the doors to the UK kids nutrition. Learning hub is now open and the first online. 'cause that's available for you to purchase is on many planning how to many plan like a pro now. There are two video tutorials in there. There's some emergency shopping list. There are some cheat sheets and downloadable guide on many planning. Some of you who have been my clients would have had access to that. There is also now a third bonus. Video will about. How many plan doing coronavirus papa link in the show notes as usual if you'd like to go ahead and purchase that it is on sale at the moment for nineteen pounds because I want everyone who needs a little bit of help with many planning to be able to access it and it'll go up? The price will increase in about two weeks done so of course. The main reason for many planning is like my girlfriend. Said what are you going to do with twenty bags of Pasta so you want to have a little plan on? What sort of things you're going to feed your children over the coming week case it may be. The only had to do was prepped. For Breakfast and Dinner Office you'll remember at full-time nursery. You only needed to prepare a snack. Once you collect them nurse research. Suddenly you're going to have to think about three meals plots Max and there's also the weak hand where they are expecting to fed as well and if you knew too many planning than it is always a good idea to think about a call many so think about a few favorite recipes such a family love and think about how you can you make that a regular feature in your menu and then once you have those call ingredients and core many me ideas identified. Then he can start to expand on that but make sure that you know how to source ingredients how to prep the ingredients and then how do you have the time that it takes to cook those ideas while you know? We always have loads of Tomah hands. I'm going to go off and make this beautiful Zarya dish or does amazing. Goma dish that he always wanted to prepare. Then chances are if you want juggling homeschooling a food time job and just keeping an eye on other children in the house as well then by the time lunch comes round or did. I just haven't got that time to make this elaborate meals so you want a few core recipes. Call meal ideas that are going to be quick and easy to repair. And you also want to be sure that the ingredients are easy to source in the video tutorial number two inside too many plan like a pro online. Course I do go through how to look at some examples of recipes that you might find online or in your own kitchen cupboard where you have loved to lovely books cookbooks. Perhaps that you engage with your child to pick up some recipes. And that's a really good thing to do. If you have a fussy eater and you're worried about a eater doing coronavirus. I would invite them to help you. Select the meals that you're going to eat during the week but then of course is important that the meals that you've identified are going to be nutritious as well and one way around that is you can go ahead and download the immune-boosting foods guide that have for free on my website is a papa linking the show nurse for you for that while you can help yourself to that ad although a use the word immune-boosting. I'm sure you know by now that if you've tuned into my podcast on instagram feed that it's a little bit deceptive accorded immune-boosting but nevertheless there are nutrients that do have a role in promoting or maintaining your body's natural immunity and looking after natural defense system so start there download the immune boosting guides foods. Have a look at some of those foods. Think about do your children like those foods. Do you like those foods. And how can you start to incorporate some of that into many? I would always start with a really core many. I where you might have a few different ideas for breakfast fare. Different ideas for lunch. Fear different ideas for dinner and snacks that you can pretty much make with your eyes closed and you know that the ingredients are really easy to find and then once that becomes a habit. So you've been in lockdown for but I think it's three or four weeks now so moving ahead if we are going to be in lockdown for another four weeks for example think about recipes that you can start to build on and expand

Find them near the mouthwash. Welcome to brain stuff from how stuff works. Hey, brain stuff, Lauren Bogle bomb here on February six nineteen seventy-one. Be late astronaut Alan Shepard the commander of NASA's. Apollo fourteen mission was taking a walk on the moon. He and fellow space traveler, Edgar Mitchell were out gathering rocks around a depression called cone crater to quote shepherd himself. Many of these were hand sized grab samples, but the pair took home some larger mementos to one basketball sized rock collected by Shepard earned itself. A nickname big Bertha officially known as lunar sample one four three two one big Bertha weighs about nineteen pounds. That's nine kilograms making it the largest rock that Apollo fourteen brought back to earth and the third largest collected by any of the Apollo missions. Although shepherd found big Bertha on the moon that may not be where it story began. The rock is a Brescia a hodgepodge of geologic fragments called clasps which are held together by cement like mix. A newly published hype. Office says that part of big Bertha formed billions of years ago right here on planet earth. In fact, despite the lunar connection this could represent the oldest earth rock ever discovered. Big Bertha's origins were the focus of a study that was published in January in the journal earth and planetary science letters the paper's authors include an international team of geo. Scientists who looked the moon rocks procured by Apollo fourteen including lunar sample, one four three two one for the most part the classes on this famous Brescia are dark gray. But there's also a lightly colored one that catches the eye. It's made a fell site a kind of all Cannock rock that contains the minerals feld Spar end quartz. The light grade class which is two centimeters that's point seven inches across is loaded with tiny zircon crystals as well many cons contain vital information about what the environment was like when and where they formed close inspection of zircon and big Bertha's light. Patch showed that the crystals were produced by cool oxygen, rich magma. Yet molten rock of the sort doesn't exist anywhere near the moon's surface defined some you'd need to travel more than one hundred miles. That's one hundred sixty two kilometers below the surface of the moon where Shepard and Mitchell found big Bertha. So how did these cons and the class? They belong to end up on the surface of violent impact was probably involved when a meteorite or asteroids smacks into a planet or moon, it can transport material that's buried deep under the crest up to the surface. And as noted earlier big Bertha was found near an impact crater. So case closed, right? Well, maybe not cone crater and expanse measuring about two hundred and fifty feet that seventy six meters. Deep and a thousand feet or three hundred and four meters wide was created roughly twenty six million years ago. Scientists thinks that the violent episode that left this depression behind would have failed to dredge up geologic material lying more than forty five miles or seventy two kilometers underneath the moon. A big Bertha's fell site classed. Could have originated deepen a lunar magma pocket. But it doesn't seem likely. The study authors think different scenario is way, more plausible around twelve miles or nineteen kilometers blow planet earth surface. There's a supply of cool oxidized magma. This is exactly the kind of raw material that probably made his cons on big Bertha's light patch. And by the way, they're con crystals. Have a helpful habit of preserving uranium isotopes? Those can be used for radio metric dating a process that tells us the fell site classed is four point zero to four point one billion years old, but both of these clues together and a potential timeline of events emerges. According to the policies championed in the study, some of that cool oxidized magma lying deep under earth's continental crust hardened into this class between four point zero and four point one billion years ago. We know that our planet was besieged by meteorites in those days a process that by the way created a lot of old Granitz. Repeat impacts would have driven the class ever closer to the surface until finally a projectile hit the earth with enough force to launch the fell site clear out into space. It's estimated that four billion years ago. Our moon was around three times closer to earth than it is right now, the far flung class might have bridged the gap and settled on the moon, but around that time meteorites from space also harassed the moon and approximately three point nine billion years ago. One of these impacts could partially melted. The class and driven it under the lunar surface where it merged with other classes and became part of Brescia then twenty six million years ago, the asteroid strike that gave birth to the cone crater could set big Bertha free propelling it to the spot where Alan shepherd came and grabbed it up one historic day in nineteen seventy-one if the fell site class really did have terrestrial origin. Then ironically enough, it might be the oldest known rock from planet earth. There's a four point zero three billion year. Old rock from Canada's Northwest. Territories that's comparable in age and over in Quebec, the greenstone belt is at least three point nine billion years old out in the Jack hills of Western Australia. Scientists have located circum- that formed roughly four point three seven billion years ago, but these crystals seemingly detached from their original rocks at some point big Bertha's fell site, classed and zircon seemed to have formed simultaneously. "Then she gets him. She's like, you have no business being here, basically telling him that he is not good enough, but then he basically stocks her and his like, you need to teach me how to surf. Yeah, he goes to her job. I liked that. We saw that she has a job. We know what she does like that. I was like, okay, movie most movies. Don't get that far before that, though. He is so that we talked about this a little bit already, but the shot of her, she's changing out of her swimsuit. As the audience were like, this is extremely male, gaze oriented, and then we cut to a shot of Keno literally gazing at her through binoculars, and we're like, oh, well, okay, let's this is like doubling down on the male gaze. That's wild, but don't worry. No commentary is made known none whatsoever. So then so he's like following her stalking her, then he preaches her at work. It's like you have to teach me how to surf she is reluctant I. But then he uses the information that he learned about her from which hacker with hacker. That scene is also great because Gary bucy's like, oh, this is your surfing contact female, a hundred nineteen palliate cares blue eyes. Do you have to say, hundred nineteen pounds? Do we all need to be triggered like a wide ally? And he's offended that she's a woman. Gary bucy's like found a woman to help, which is crazy because in real life gave you see loves and respects. Shake it. He's a monster, right? So then so he uses this information. He finds out about her, which is that your parents died in a plane crash to sort of like leverage against her to be like, well, like my parents died in a car crash. So you just don't know what it's like. I'm finally doing something for myself, and then she falls for it and agrees to start helping him. She's teaching him how to serve, and then they get romantically involved because you can't have a movie where there's just a man and a woman on a professional basis or friendship basis. They have to start having sex. There's so weird awkward, kiss your sex on the beach. He keeps lying. There's a long shot of Kia new just thinking, well, she sleeps. There's remember when he tries to tell her and she's like, literally, she says, you look like, you want about to tell me something and then you don't. And then he's like, I'm going to tell you. The thing and she's like, puts her finger on his lips and it was like, no, no, it's okay. Don't tell me to shoot him. And you're like, wait, what lot of inconsistencies. So yeah, what happens there is that he's, I guess, trying to tell her that he's working undercover as an FBI agent to try to find these Bank robbers. She's like sh- some other time don't tell me now. Then we cut to a scene which I would argue as a weird like that just as bad writing and weird for the character. Because a second ago she wants to know so badly, right? But then her loins overcome her because he's like his sword for me, and she's like men or soap added this further perpetuating the stereotype that men are bad at talking about whatever. But I mean, if you had representation of men and movies, talking about their feelings and their, you know, vulnerabilities and stuff like that, maybe it wouldn't be so hard for men to do that. There's more ways you know you could. There's also surfing. I really express myself best through my surfing surfing art surfing as life. So he doesn't tell her what is deal is, but she finds out because he leaves his badge lying around and I do want to get into the list of all the reasons why he is a terrible undercover agent. But she's me. He's a lawyer because he's like, I went to law school. My parents wanted me to go to law school. Oh, I thought she was saying, I found out you're a lawyer and it's was like, he, no, that's the lie that he fed her. Got it. Okay. So she finds his badge and then she tries to sh, she shoots at him, but the movie frames it because she's like, you lied to me or your parents even did told me if your parents are dead, and then she leaves..

Why Kim Kardashian's Weight Loss Comments Are So Toxic

"They'll say, reject, literally your own insecurities onto everyone. You meet. I really don't care about what Kim Kardashian had to say any further than this. But she also was in the news recently because of something that her and KENDALL Jenner got into trouble for. So talking about this, the connections, yeah, I know. Well, again, kind of on them. So earlier this week, Kim shared a series of videos of her sisters khloe and KENDALL complementing Kim's very trim figure as she revealed that she now weighs one hundred nineteen pounds. So KENDALL says, if you're so skinny, I'm really concerned. I don't think you're eating and Kim goes what? Thank you so much. So a bunch of me. I know it's. We do remember that these people are these people right? Like we've all met them. This isn't go through their minds. They don't think these things through. Again, I'm talking about this because I was really thinking this week about the way that Kim Kardashian as defined beauty standards, especially in America bog and has basically standardized the online digital currency for monetize ING, your own public image. So this is really the person we let do this. So a lot of people took if shoe with this Stephanie bay trees who's in Brooklyn. Nine nine was saying how Kim Kardashian saying what she weighs in her sister's complimenting her being so skinny as like eating my brain. There's only one time in my life where I ever weighed one hundred nineteen pounds. It was right in the middle of a terrible relationship in an intense eating disorder eating disorder. And I thought that I could be thinner and look even better. There was other people that started talking about this EMMY Rossum who's on shameless Hanlon to say about this too, and you know, oh, Jimmy. Djamil from the good place, all Instagram about it. I didn't think she had this much power. Again, commentary went after Kim about this, especially famous women who have aligned themselves with having eating disorders. I mean, she also just that thing with lollipops them. It like antidepressant anti like impressive lollipop. She's also basically subscribed like fake laxatives slash vitamins for pregnancy, like prenatal vitamins that are supposed to make you skinny. But like a lot of people called it out because you're like him, you're selling like like an Fettah means you're basically selling amphetamines to pregnant women to make them look skinny again, like it's like if it quacks like a duck leg, this is the thing..
