Nicky Haley who has you know been searching in the polls recently on you know largely on her foreign policy experience but she has also been the most nuanced in her position on abortion saying look you that know we probably can't do anything at a federal level we should leave it to the states and let states decide. "That we're seeing at his University of Pennsylvania. Although what he did say about the political backdrop heading into next year was really interesting. This disappointment that he feels about the two candidates who are going to be in the running saying, can't we do better? And he's not alone with that. I think it's really interesting to hear increasing calls for Chris Christie and even Ron DeSantis to drop out to coalesce around Nikki Haley as people are saying we could possibly run against the former President Trump. And likewise on the Democratic side. is This really an interesting moment where everyone assumes this will be the race. And yet people are trying to chip away at it around the edges. And I get out the idea of the calendar coming into this wonderful building. There's an iconic.

in the morning the u s house is clearly not in order after voting to jettison a speaker for the first time in history and the next step for the g o p is unclear as they try to replace kevin mccarthy washington correspondent saga magani is following the story the reason kevin mccarthy went down is because nobody trusts kevin mccarthy kevin mccarthy has made multiple contradictory promises when when they all came due he lost he lost votes of people who maybe don't even ideologically agree with me on everything the fractured bop majority has to pay kevin mccarthy's successor there's a lot of raw emotion in the conference uh i think that they made the right decision by pressing pause for a minute i think we stayed the room last night and i'm not exaggerating i think it probably would have uh devolved into a little bit of physical altercation in there people are bad right now and Louisiana's Garrett Graves says it needs to let the anger over his removals subside we're going to have to let the emotions out at some point but i think letting people go home and and kind of uh decompress a little bit that's a good idea but but the next thing is is that we've got to discuss a functional structure that that ensures that a republican majority is truly a republican majority many republicans have left waiting what maybe votes on a new speaker next week what's paralyzed the house of representatives has been the failure of speaker McCarthy what paralyzed the house of representatives was not taking up appropriations bills we left for six -week vacation while the appropriations process hung in the balance and because i forced these people to take few a votes you think i'm paralyzing the house of representatives i think the house of representatives has been paralyzed for last the several decades as we've refused to pass a budget majority leader Steve Scalise is in line but faces a challenge from conservative favorite jim jordan others others are likely to emerge and texas' ship royce as the internal debate continues we just need a strong uh speaker strong leader asked his advice for whomever wins we need to change the poisonous atmosphere in washington you know we have strong disagreements but we need to stop seeing each other enemies we need to talk to one another listen to one another work with one another and we can do that while president biden wouldn't weigh in senate democratic chief chuck schumer did think carefully about what happened to your predecessors saying john bainer paul ryan and mccarthy coddled to the hard right each of your predecessors got burned each time saga remagani washington twenty one still from congress to those who want to reach the oval office donald trump continues to lead the polls in the race to become the republican nominee for the presidency in twenty twenty four correspondent governor ronda santas is calling out the former president for his absence at the first two debates new polling by suffolk university shows former south carolina governor nicky haley move into second place behind former president donald trump with nineteen percent of likely new hampshire republican primary voters trump still showing a significant lead and florida governor ronda santas slipping to third with ten percent de santas called trump out this week for skipping the first two debates you're running for the nomination you that gotta burn the nomination nobody's entitled to anything i know voters in iowa new hampshire expected here from the candidates they expected out to stand up in these forums and make your case answer questions even spar with the other candidates so i think it's a big mistake that he's ducking debates i i think think it's a big mistake that he's sending the signals that really the voters don't matter that he should just be able to take a poll in september and not even have to worry about the following year competing in a these election contests trump has had plenty to say to potential voters often in non -traditional ways but a lead is a lead and the debates certainly aren't required santa says trump owes it to republicans to take other candidates head on republicans are not going to beat the democrats by adopting joe biden's basement strategy that is not going to work for us uh... by didn't get away with it because of the media and the way everything works in our country uh... republicans cannot get away with that you've got to be out there you've got to be making the case to santa's seemingly taking things up a notch as far courses concerned campaigns the governor reportedly moving a chunk of his presidential campaign staff from florida to de moine this after a recent fundraising blitz that brought about fifteen million dollars to the de santis campaign other candidates like republican senator tim scott of south carolina are hitting spots across the country encouraging unity in the party in the wake of this week's historic ousting of the house speaker the infighting is never helpful in the latest polling in south carolina winthrop university shows that fifty one percent of republican primary voters there plan to vote for trump nikki haley meanwhile pulling away from tim scott in south carolina i'm clinton neville president joe biden has announced billions of dollars of more federal student loan forgiveness correspondent donna warter reports a white house officials says the president's announcement will help roughly one hundred twenty five thousand borrowers by erasing nine billion dollars in debt through existing relief programs my administration is doing everything you can to deliver student debt relief to as many as we can as fast as we can this is in contrast to republicans house who helped block the previous debt relief plan biden promised to help alleviate the burden of student debt while running for president and he's been under pressure to follow through even though his original and was overturned by the conservative majority on the u s supreme court this kind of relief is life changing for individuals and their families but it's good for our economy as a whole as well by freeing millions of americans from the crushing burden of student debt it means they can go and get their lives in order they can think about buying a house they can start a business they can be starting a family this matters biden's been relying on programs such as public service loan forgiveness which lowers payments by them to a borrower's income with the latest debt cancel cancellation in total my administration's 127 billion dollars in student debts for nearly 3 .6 million americans they're 17 washington till the pope on same

"Over the map as most rhinos are he says he's trying to get the attention the of folks who want to be in the middle i told you the rhino the middle of what well i don't get a lot of things done i don't save the republic you know the vet heck a ramaswamy week ago two weeks ago was the favorite of the media nicky haley today is the favorite of the media and they drag out these polls that show cnn the nicky haley would beat biden by six points ronda santis would be even these polls are are utterly meaningless they're so contemptible that's what you know how many polls show ronald reagan losing losing badly to jimmy carter all of them all of them till we got pass the nomination and into the fall all then things turned around you get a vote for the candidate who you believe is the best to lead the country that quote -unquote who can win the polls have no idea who can win the talking heads on t -v how many more times you gonna be misled led by them particularly the ones who've been around like half a century like the architect and don't know their you -know -what from the you -know -what they should at least have to have their records placed up there so we can all see them so don't in the prediction game you know I like so -and -so but I don't think it went well then support so and so because then he or she might win nobody's been involved in school choice more certainly nobody more in the media than I then the group I worked for and with for decades landmark legal foundation the first battle of school choice was in the state of Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson had signed a very limited school choice bill but he signed it at the behest of it and he supported it good that he did it of a lady named Polly Williams who was a black state representative out of Milwaukee and a Democrat she was our client that's where it all started and landmark it's the client and one or two other legal groups but I can speak of my own experience including with the current president of landmark foundation a fantastic lawyer and litigator Pete Hutchison we had to sue the lowest court level of the state state circuit court level into the Supreme Court of Wisconsin we were opposed by the ACLU we were opposed by the NAACP were opposed by the NEA by the WEA the state affiliate were opposed by the entire Democrat mob we went to the Supreme Court of and then we won it it was a modest program couple thousand kids in the ghetto who could now go to a public school I mean a private school then we had to litigate again could they go to a for skill school that matter any religious schools where to litigate that it took took years and we won then there were federal challenges same groups same opponents went all the way to the Supreme Court not once but twice and we won this was a decade worth of litigation of court battles in state and federal court two Supreme Courts the Wisconsin Supreme Court in the US I know what I'm talking about I talk when about school choice and the year for school choice came from Milton Friedman the great Milton Freeman was his idea school choice including homeschooling the great great Mike Farris in Virginia really the father of the homeschooling movement just a great guy love the guy he litigated and they litigated and they litigated in state court they litigated in federal court they litigated in the Supreme Court when you have somebody like Christie said just want to appeal to the middle and to the moderate you don't accomplish things like this America you don't accomplish things by being in the middle in the middle of what what a useless reason to be president of the United States to be in the middle we have a Democrat Party that seeks to destroy this country it's destroying our energy sector it's destroying our sovereignty it's destroying our schools it's destroying our courts it's destroyed law and order and I can go down the list and somebody wants to be in the middle somebody wants to be in the middle they don't want to be Churchill they don't want to Thatcher they want to be in the middle some people in the middle claim that they're Ronald Reagan they claim to be great leaders and yet when you look at the records they haven't been great leaders modest gains as governors even in Republican states I am deeply thankful that Glenn Youngkin won this state because this state was over the edge and it still might maybe it's a flash in the pan much like Christie was a flash in the pan in New Jersey Christie didn't do anything to build up the Republican Party he despised the conservative movement even though he was slobbered all over by National Review and the Wall Street Journal and Youngkin hasn't done anything to build up the conservative movement he's a decent guy wonderful guy comes across that way he's done some things but he hasn't done enough you get to serve one term here as governor four years and that's it I listen to Nikki Haley she's gonna put out a big plan she can't run on her big school choice plan cuz she didn't have a big school choice agenda oh there's some they all support some but the only one running is DeSantis he and the former governor of Arizona do see literally put in the most ubiquitous that is far -reaching you school choice programs that is school competition programs the nation has ever known ever he doesn't have to put across a plan I mean maybe he wants to for the federal government but he already broke the teachers unions in Florida that's why they hate him that's why and by the way that's why these billionaire you Republicans know I hate billionaire Republicans there's a handful that I like a couple I like a lot but for the most part they are gutless wonders they are quislings they'll get behind a candidate candidate's the slowing it and it's not working there to a to radical on abortion to radical on Disney to read in other words the guy is fighting the battle of the culture it's right in the middle of the state in Disney it's in his school systems and the billionaires run you know why because they're useless they're useless not all of them certainly most of them so

"Great question you every company has become a software company consumers are demanding data we're understanding where their package package is that you know like Amazon they'll send you a text now if the drivers you know eight stops away and your where package is at so everybody's creating software they're putting them in the cloud they're doing it for revenue generation and and also to save money and so get lab basically eliminates point solutions and allows people to do everything on one platform with a single application and so even with the tougher economy seeing we're a lot of companies come to get lab to save money if you use our ultimate product which is our high -end product it's $99 per month per user and it has a six -month payback and over three it's years over a 400 % return on your investment that sounds pretty compelling for a lot of buyers think I would talk to us about Google Cloud how you guys partner with them yeah absolutely we have a partnership with Google Cloud we're currently using their large language models to train some of our AI products that we're working on you know GitLab's core feature to is make the developers operations and security professionals faster and better at creating software and one of the ways that we're doing that is an AI to our product and so we currently have 10 products under development we have one that's generally available today called Suggested Reviewers and we're working on one called Code Suggestions that will actually help populate code based on what the you ask software to do and so we're using Google's large language models to actually train the software to do that we have a different approach than other people where we're doing it with a privacy first and so we want to protect the IP of customers that use it and we don't want to allow that IP to be training other companies software. Whenever I hear AI obviously we know Paul how much it is all the rage this year from so many different industries but I'm curious as far as when comes it to developer demand what that really means right now when it comes to some of those AI tools. Yeah you know AI is important it's another tool to allow developers become more efficient but you know this is a first time in my career where the media has actually talked about something way before the technology really being generally available and so in the software development process we just released a DevOps report that basically talks about in the process of making software only about 25 % of it is actually done on coding and so some of the AI tools will make coding more efficient more quicker but you know some of the other tools out in the market quickness this and suggestion of code has actually created more vulnerabilities and so our products not currently generally available it's in private beta we hope to have it generally available later this year and we're working on making sure that the code quality that's being recommended is of high quality and very limited vulnerabilities hey uh brian just about 30 seconds how do you guys view cyber security how is that engendered into your software yeah absolutely security is top of mind for every company right and you know the security market continues to grow because you have the builders the buyers and the hackers and the hackers are always getting better at trying to create different mouse traps to breach into to the companies and so one of the advantages of our platform is you actually have security integrated into the software development process so the old way of actually creating software is the developers would actually code and develop the software they then throw it over the wall to the ops and the security teams yeah and they would come back and say hey you have the vulnerabilities security please go write rewrite these lines of codes our security function is built actually into the software so as you're writing the code the security is actually telling you you have a vulnerability you you need to need fix this and we'll fix it in all your code where that vulnerability is at fascinating stuff coders that's what we should have done back in the day coding Brian Roberts chief financial officer at GitLab he joins us on zoom from sunset south carolina right now let's head down to washington dc world national news with fancy lines thanks paul peter navarro a one -time adviser to donald trump has been found guilty of contempt of congress he refused to provide documents and and was sentenced to four months behind bars though he has been free pending appeal a new poll shows a republican presidential candidate beating president biden in a hypothetical election but it's likely d not who you think bloomberg's ryan take back with says former south carolina governor nicky haley did a well new in cnn ssrs poll among the republican field pretty much all of the contenders were all within the margin of error haley was the only one who was outside of the margin of error with a six point lead over biden and that was largely due to her strength with uh... white voters with college degree bloomberg's ryan take back with reporting from washington president biden's next request for aid to ukraine could run headlong into a dispute over the border we get more from bloomberg's nathan hager house speaker kevin mccarthy is thinking of tying president's the twenty four billion dollar ukraine aid request to immigration and asylum proposals democrats are firmly against a source familiar with mccarthy's tentative plan tells bloomberg the ukraine funds not would be attached to a must -pass spending bill to keep the government from shutting down at the end of the month that could make a stopgap easier to pass in the house but time ukraine aid to the border wouldn't be a sure bet with house conservatives who owes any new funds for kiev and new restrictions "This was the opposite of a smile and it certainly sets the tone for i think what is going to be an intense and perhaps very angry 2024. yeah what is his legal team saying this morning he's got a new lawyer right in the georgia case yeah yeah all these cases there's going to be a lot of jockeying especially on speedy trials and in the georgia case there are a lot of co -defendants so that's an added wrinkle to this but you know if you talk to legal experts the trumpets is going to be very busy in court in 2024 and of course that's the argument of some of the republican presidential candidates trying are to beat him like nicky haley he's going to be spending a lot of time in court so he is not the best to beat joe joe biden yeah i guess i mean that is uh... i mean an issue it's gotta be they've got to be thinking about that right i know there's sometimes when doesn't he have to appear for certain hearings and things like that but in theory you know he we could see him you know one day in a courtroom in the next on the campaign stop that's right and and the other big factor is how much this is going to cost now trumps campaign has been paying for it so i don't know what the up -to -date figure but he spent tens of millions of on dollars legal fees and he's just getting started on these four cases so a lot of the money that's coming into the trump campaign is paying for this so that's that's another negative for republicans however the polls show that trump and I basically are even in a head -to -head matchup and that's probably where we're headed and I guess we saw right way that he capitalized on that mugshot apparently there's a t -shirt and a fund -raising thing that's on I guess they got to raise more money that's right never waste a crisis especially fundraisers in Washington and around politics is that if you have something that can raise money do it and trump has raised a lot of since he's been indicted now four times that's Bob Cusack editor -in -chief of The Hill on Saturday morning at the top stories were following for you this early hour Virginia lawmakers a reaching deal this week on a new budget and it means we're told taxpayers will be getting money back in their pockets an audit has found that DC spent about a half billion bucks in COVID relief money without the necessary approval to do so by the council and the season opener locally of the Stafford County high school football team has been forfeited because of threats of violence will update you in just minutes you are listening to 103 .5 FM at wtop .com your car donation to vehicles for change is worth way more than just a tax deduction vehicles for change repairs provides and

"Me someone's got to stop normalizing this conduct okay? now whether or not you believe that the criminal charges are right or wrong the conduct is beneath the office of president of the united states and you know this is the great thing about this country booing is allowed but it doesn't change the truth okay so that was i guess the crowd mostly booed for normalizing 91 felony counts it was a very strange reaction from the crowd it was weird it was like yay and then boo it was very honest right yes that no boo that's saying that's bad conduct 91 felonies no okay oh god chris christie and then uh nikki haley somehow that's he does nothing else in his life damn for making me like nikki haley get the situation with russian ukraine here you have a pro -american country that was invaded by a thug so when you want to talk about what has been given to less than three and a half percent of our defense budget has been given to ukraine if you look at the percentages per gdp 11 of the european countries have given more than the u .s but what's really important is go back to when china and russia held hands shook hands before the olympics and name themselves unlimited partners a win for russia is a win for we have to know that ukraine is the first line of defense for us thank time to choose between the rest of them it's like a bola or leprosy yeah i'll take less leprosy the good news is that the both of those are your choice if you live in ronda santas's uh florida yeah because if i'm gonna get bad news i want from him because it's very handsome dr erwin red letter joined us doctor medical experts leaving us doctor became doctor do We call doctor erwin red letter is the founding director of the national center for disaster preparedness and senior research hey doctor doom doc how about that show last night that's a medical term it's like a fecal sample of debates i don't have buttons but yeah it's absolutely startling you know it's like trump is there he's not there but the line continues full force yeah i'm hit thank for you pointing out on twitter you said de santas bragged about not shutting down his state during a pandemic but 32 states had better covid survival rates than florida and the state the state state ranked 32nd in the u .s and math scores among uh into uh among tested eighth graders the man's self -congratulatory arrogance is truly cringe -worthy thank you for just that one fact check yeah no it was amazing to me that there's no humility there's recognition of truth either directly or subtly and it's i find it just that incredible he's the what do you call the second runner the not the front runner that but the runner -up what is it yeah desantis right and then i use this morning staff were uh... the background of swami was getting quote -unquote rave who's a outright liar a climate denier yeah and one of these people said one word about maui or the victims or climate change other and tonight to deny climate change really i it was just amazing to me yeah or or to i think the desantis took a shot at byden over maui and it you you know know as you said after absurd politically driven republican criticism of biden's trip to maui not one of the republican debaters mentioned a word about the unprecedented disaster the role of climate change or the persistent suffering of so many people breathtaking hypocrisy i mean i guess you're right we shouldn't be surprised you shouldn't be surprised and i don't know what this reflects about our country or reinforces but you know with or without trump it was a pathetic display and i like you nicky haley looked like heroin in this she was it was incredible yeah it was like uh you know you don't with agree her policies but her way of presenting herself yeah and talking about the issues was a whole different category at least on the side of ukraine and democracy and understands that who is a fun yeah yeah anyway it was hard to know what to make of it and i i was surprised that christy was as muted as he was yeah you know he would have done better i think if uh trump was on stage with him but there you go you mean to be a more energetic head to be like ramaswamy to win the republican debate now anyway um by so the way speaking of i just thought for you one of the most despicable moments was was as you said rondesant is bragging about not shutting down during a pandemic and he's just you know anti science uh anti -vaxx whatever i i'm looking at uh oh hang on a bunch of things priola is that what it's called pyrolla the new covid variant yeah uh public health officials around the world say they're eye keeping an on the new covid variant that has surfaced in four countries uh it has a lot of mutations that make it distinctly different from previous strains of the virus on wednesday the cdc said this new lineage may be even more adept in previous variants and at infecting people who already had covid or have been vaccinated um i just feel like the same recurring nightmare right well we've been talking about this a long time steph that um this is not over you know people just trying to wish it out of of and existence it's fantasy land here and we have to be grown up about this it but but with these republicans on stage it was like uh you know you you descended into a bad version of disneyland uh use a a subject that's here to the heart of ron de santis but they don't know what they're talking about they they are denying something uh in climate they're denying a lot about covid and it's a disservice to country the because we are going to be having as we talked about a surge of something very different in in the fall which is around the corner and in the winter and we have to be ready for yeah and you know what kills me is i just your words echo in my ears that you were saying how many years ago on this show that this is always going to be a race between the variants the virus and the variants and the vaccine and the fact is we still didn't get enough people vaccinated that's why we keep having these variants then people stop asking i mean i was reading this tweet japan warned the world in july but we ignored them now the media is priming us for death alarmingly 38 .3 percent of them had no or only light symptoms they immediately died before indicating that some of them saw their conditions deteriorate rather suddenly from japan times another um tweet on covid the new variant is scary employees in the local nursing home my mom was in for rehab started wearing their masks about a week ago due to an increase in local infection this is in southern indiana just west of louisville um yeah i was reading another story yesterday about you know people masking up again it's i mean just it

"Others are not. They say desantis needs to stay out of this. So again, so many questions here. What do you do here folks? Do you get out there? Do you protest in the streets? Do you stay home? And what about desantis? Are you satisfied with what Ron DeSantis had to say here? Now, I will throw this out there. I'm trying to look at this objectively as best we can. But here's the problem and I want to throw this out there for you Trump people and by the way, I have endorsed Donald Trump for the presidency. I believe he deserves a second chance and I've explained that time and time again and if need be I'll explain it one more time. But all the Trump people and desantis people, you gotta chill out here. Because you say something about desantis, all of a sudden you hate Jesus Christ in Santa Claus. You say something about Donald Trump, all of a sudden, you hate Jesus Christ in Santa Claus, and puppies. There's no middle room. So my question here does this episode with the district attorney of Manhattan, does this actually transcend politics? Because I'm going to be honest with you here for a moment. If you are reporting me for federal election violations, which is what Trump's team has done. Against desantis. And if you're out there calling me names every single day and attacking me, I'm not going to be too keen on standing up and defending you when somebody comes after you. But that's just me. There are Trump supporters who say that it doesn't matter. Trump could call you Satan incarnate Trump could curse your children, but you are required under maga law to fully endorse Donald Trump. There are people out there who sincerely believe that. Or there may be a broader group of people out there like yours truly, who believe there are moments. When you have to put aside the petty politics. And you have to stand up and address the greater evil, and the greater evil is not Trump or desantis or Nicky Haley, it's that district attorney and George Soros, who are trying to destroy the very fabric of our nation, so it just seems to me that this is a moment that transcends politics. And it's time for all of our Republicans. I don't care where you are on the spectrum of this. Every Republican leader has to stand together and must speak with one voice because if they can do it to Donald Trump, you better believe they're going to do it to everybody else..

"His take on Donald Trump's speech at cpac. Call it Trump pack now. It's Trump pack, which is reflective in the fact that nobody else besides, I think Nikki Haley showed up, or at least none of the other leading likely candidates, the santas Pence Pompeo, et cetera. You know, you've harken on that number about the 63%. And what I'm telling you is that 62% is too low. Everybody there should have been a Trump fan and apparently they weren't in that ad in that environment. Trump should be winning 85 90% of the vote. So I'm not sure where the 63 came from. I understood why the number was lower in Florida because that's Ronda Sanchez's home territory. But this was in Washington D.C.. If the santas wasn't there, that number should be higher than 63%. I'm the Trump team. I'm claiming victory and you should because you won by 43 points. But the number could have been probably should have been higher. And under national apps leadership, the last couple of years, they sort of thrown in whole hog with Trump, which is fine. That's where the money has been. You can't fault them for that. But the fact that all of the major names other than Trump stayed away. And Nicky Haley was there, of course, you know, there's some discussion about is she running for Trump vice president. "Polling data, Nikki Haley is charting in the low double digits, which is not a bad place to start. And again, she's the only other candidate other than Trump, who's actively declared at this point. There's widespread expectation that the Florida governor Ron DeSantis is probably going to run for president as a giant war chest that he has amassed for his last gubernatorial run a lot of that money was left over. He also has very high popularity ratings inside the Republican Party. What the polls show right now is that theoretically Nikki Haley could play a spoiler role in a three way race between Trump and desantis that she could actually deprive more votes from desantis than she takes from Trump and in the process elevate Trump to the nomination. But let's just analyze her candidacy on sort of its own merits. So, here are the good things about Nikki Haley's candidacy. Obviously, she is articulate. She's very photogenic. Nikki Haley did an excellent job as UN ambassador. That also happens to be the world's best job, being ambassador to the UN is great. It really is. You just go into a place where everyone is garbage and you call them garbage. It is the world's best job in government. You are faced with dictators and you say you're a dictator and a bad person. It's a great great job. She was a good, fairly popular governor of South Carolina. She's run into some issues with her base. She got crossways of the base for taking a sort of moderate line with regard to the removal of the confederate flag from the South Carolina state capitol. And it was placed in a museum instead, for example, she also got a foul of the base after January 6th when she took a very harsh line against Donald Trump, post January 6th, and then seemed to sort of reverse herself a little bit. Also, obviously, one of the elephants in the room with regard to her candidacy is that she had said she would not run if Trump would run, and obviously she's reversed herself on that. Now, I don't take any of those sorts of promises seriously. When people say, I won't run effects runs, or I'm not going to run, or I promise, who cares? The real question is, would she make a good president? And the answer is, Nikki Haley, it would, in fact, make a good president. The drawbacks of her candidacy sort of broadly speaking, and then Americans tend to not be as focused on foreign policy as they are in domestic policies. So you would assume that she's going to have to focus a lot on her tenure as the South Carolina governor as opposed to her tenure at the UN because when it comes to foreign policy, probably Mike Pompeo, former Secretary of State is going to run for president. Americans don't care that much about foreign policy until it's immediate. And so running as a foreign policy guru really doesn't do you a hell of a lot of good. Americans right now are particularly focused on domestic policy. That's going to be difficult for her to sort of outflank people like Ron DeSantis on those issues or say, Brian Kemp, if he decides to run for president from Maryland or Glenn youngkin, if he decides to run for president from Virginia, she's also sort of has just run this sort of gauntlet because she was a member of the Trump administration. The left is going to tie her to Trump and because she left the Trump administration early and has had some things critical of Trump some on the right who really like Trump are angry at Nikki Haley. This makes her candidacy complicated, but she, again, is a very talented politician. The thing that I find fascinating about her announcement of her run. Is the way the left is reacted. And it really demonstrates how much left loves it, Trump. They really do. So imagine for a second, that you really don't want Trump to be the guy, right? Let's say you're on the left and supposedly Trump is Hitler, right? The only thing that separates them is a little mustache. You're on the left and you're one of these people who believes that Trump is essentially a Nazi who's putting America in danger of authoritarianism. So anybody who declares against Trump, you should immediately be like, oh, this person would be great. This person will be like, man, I'd rather have Nikki Haley's the nominee than Donald Trump. If you're on the left and this is your perspective, wouldn't you think that's the case? Instead, the media immediately wept to attack Nikki Haley with extraordinary alacrity. The really angry at Nikhil for running. Because they kind of want Trump to be the nominee. Number one, he's ratings. I mean, that dude is absolute ratings gold for a lot of these networks. And two, they think to be much more beatable than some of the other candidates on the right side of the aisle. They're immediate reactions, Nikki Haley, is to attack her in some of the dumbest ways I've ever seen. So they immediately so there was an article in Politico that suggested that Nikki Haley had on a government state form and here she is touting her diversity as an Indian American woman. And on her on her forms, early government forums, she listed herself as Caucasian. Yes, because there was no actual category for south Southeast Asian or South Asian rather. There was no actual category on that on the forums. And so Indian Americans had to choose between black and white. And so she chose white. But political put like 5 reporters on that story. And then there was the meme that was going around the other day that Nikki Haley is she says America's not racist? Well, why is she the name Nikki? After all, her full name is more Indian sounding. Her middle name is Nikki and she's been going by Nikki like her entire life. That is not unusual. And then, of course, you have joy Reid. One of our nation's most unintelligent commentators, suggesting that the thing about Nikki Haley is that she's just a trumpy. She's Trump's person, which is weird since she's now running against him. She's trying to inoculate herself by that. But I think, no, no, no, I'm not one of the bad ones. I hate the 16, 19 project. Just as much as you do, and you know, she's had this sort of she talks about her Indian American heritage, but she focuses not on her seat background, but on our conversion to Christianity, like she's definitely tried to fit in. But I just want to put up the 2016 cast of characters that ran against Trump. They all said Trump was no good. Trump was an anathema to conservatism. Trump wasn't real conservative. Trump wasn't a real Republican. Trump was disgusting. Trump was misogynistic. And then they all took the knee. So did Nicky Haley, Stuart? In the end, everything she tries to say about being an alternative to Trump. No, she's not. She's Trump's person. Trump's person, guys. Which is weird since she's now running, again, but again, that everyone must be lumped in with Trump so that you can say that they're bad.
