I am Tim Murray, thanks again to Dan Rubenstein, check out the solid verbal podcast. They've been dropping all of their conference previews this past month. So it's always a fun lesson there. We jump back into the NFL with our summer conditioning Sean top of the hour. The Jacksonville Jaguars. Jacksonville. We will talk some Jags coming up top of the hour. But I wanted to do something in the next two weeks before week zero is upon us. I want to take a look at the ten most interesting team. This is no particular order on that ranking them there, but I just teams that I think there's a lot of curiosity about. And because of the unfortunate weekend that they had, I said, well, let's start with Texas. Texas. Lost two starters today or officially announced today. They lost their starting guard and wide receiver Isaiah nayyar, who came in from Wyoming. So they lost both of them due to ACL injuries. Texas still has their top two receivers from a year ago, Xavier worthy and Jordan whittington. They are returning. Worthy of the first round pick. Yeah. He's really good. Yeah. So they got those two guys coming back. Obviously they have bijan Robinson, who is really good. Another first round pick. Their backup running back, roskin Johnson, I saw Paul stone tweet out that he's expected to be out at least a month to get a procedure on his ankle. So he probably will be sidelined for the Alabama game, he had 569 yards rushing last year and 5 touchdowns in addition to bijan Robinson just being an absolute superstar there. So, you know, there's a lot of intrigue about this Texas team, not ranked in the top 25, the AP, that is, they were ranked in the coaches poll. Three of our contributors to the college football betting guide, selected them to win the big 12. That would be Matt Newman, stave thule and Adam Kramer, all selected Texas to win the big 12 this year. Sarkisian entering year two, over under set at 8 and a half wins, Sean. When you know how good is he? I think that's, you know, we were talking to Dan about LSU about the LSU quarterback situation. If they get quality quarterback play, you know, maybe they're a team that exceeds their win total. When viewers with 5 star recruit from the state of Texas went to Ohio State last year, did not see any action. I mean, you played a snap or two. I can't remember. But let's start with the quarterback. How confident are you that when you are can be a solid to, let's just say solid starting quarterback in the FPS. I mean, I think that's the toughest part about the evaluation of Texas. Here's where I do give him the benefit of the doubt. Ohio State has really done well evaluating high school quarterbacks. Sure. Now they haven't always turned into elite NFL quarterbacks, but the quarterbacks at Ohio State have taken in on full scholarship, have generally gone on to be really good college players. So Quinn has that, in my opinion, moving in his favor. Now, what I've heard from Texas and this is what I would expect, you know, Hudson card knows the system better. You know, hustling card is more of the guy that's going to get on the chalkboard and be able to draw it up. I heard Quinn's not necessarily like a night owl. He's not sleeping in the facility, you know, but he's also extremely athletic. So it'll come down to, you know, can't start keys and figure out how to manipulate his talent while you gain experience. But I hate to see namor go down because one of the things I thought they had in their favor, I thought they had one of the best wide receiver groups in the country. You know, not as good as Ohio State, but you know, in that next tier of gods, because every worthy is every worthy is a really, really good player. So, and I hate to see that happen, especially for kids coming from Wyoming that wanted to get a shot, you know, in a power 5 conference to show what he could do, but I trust sarkeesian too. You know, I think he's a good evaluator talent. I think they have, you know, talent, depth there. The bigger question for me is defensively. You know, they have not been anything close to above average on defense, not when Charles strong was there, not when Tom Herman was there, not now that Steve sarkisian has been there. So how do they fix that and how close are they to getting it to what a defense can win games by themselves? Adam Burke, he wrote up the big 12 for us for our college football, betting guide and these numbers are absolutely staggering. Texas gave up more than 6.1 yards per play to big 12 opponents and ranked 102nd in the nation in yards per play allowed last year. That's not good, Sean. It's ironic because outside of the fact that Quinn yours isn't proven and Caleb Williams is. USC and Texas are kind of the same enigma for this season. And that's kind of not what you want to be if you're sarkeesian 'cause you've already been there whereas, you know, Lincoln, this is his first year at southern Cal, but you know Texas is going to be good on offense, but that defense hasn't gotten any better. If they can just be average, the average unit that loses slow doesn't give up a whole lot of big plays, maybe forces some turnovers then, you know, I think Texas has the talent on offense, you know, to win a lot of games. We're going to find out week two. Yeah. Real quick faster than a hurry. 'cause those boys from Tuscaloosa come rolling in the town. Yeah, that number now up to 16. Texas is getting 16 at home against Alabama. I'll tell you this right now. You know how we always do the let down or look ahead spots. UTS a week three after Texas plays Alabama. I like you to say it's quarterback though. No, I'm saying. I don't know if they'll win. But if their catching north of three touchdowns, give me those points. I'll gobble him up with the roadrunners. That's the roadrunner Super Bowl going to Austin. So that's just a spot to keep an eye on. They're running back. He's an NFL, right? From UTS, yes. Yeah. So just point out, but yeah, the schedule, all right, so you get Alabama week two, which I think it's fair to say, chalk it up as a loss. Well, last time, a top rated SEC school came to us and it was LSU. And it was a heck of a game. That was the year else you won the title, right? Yeah, Sam, Ellen, almost pulled it upset. So we'll see. Maybe Queen the words can pick up. You know where Ellen left off? Alameda was going that game. Yeah. Yeah. So the over under set at 8 and a half, they open against UL Monroe, your guy. Well, I guess not your guy. That's Terry Barbara. Yeah, Terry bowden. Well, my guys were there, rich Ron, this rich guy. No, he's had coaching Jacksonville

"I mean, you get down after 15, you're like, well, this team seems pretty good here. Like, I think Arkansas is a little bit too low. Like I would have Arkansas I had a Pittsburgh, but you look at what Arkansas schedule is. Like, I think Arkansas is probably one of the best 7 or 8 quarterbacks in the country in KJ Jefferson. So there's a lot about Pittsburgh that's just solid. There's a lot you can count on about their defense. I don't love keen flow, but I don't like love their offense coordinator, but there's still a certain amount of competence to pit football year to year. That their schedule is not terrible if I remember correctly. I know they have Tennessee early on. But I think they're going to be good up front. Their secondary should be good once again. They probably need to get better running the ball. And I still think it's Wayne who's the number two receiver who now becomes the number one receiver with Addison's leaving. They're one of those teams that they don't have huge questions. Even if they're a B minus head quarterback, you look at some of the other teams around there, all miss in their quarterback questions. Obviously, wake has a quarterback questions with Sam Hartman, stepping away from the team Cincinnati replacing their starting quarterback. Houston's good. And I think they're going to jump up. I think I like you still a lot more than some of the teams ahead of them. And so I think there are a good candidate that sort of jump up and sort of being discounted as a G 5 team. But I think it's what is Mario's offense at Miami look like. And I can speak to it in Oregon that he is probably going to underperform with the talent on hand with what he was not able to do with Justin Herbert at Oregon and then what Herbert blossomed into in the NFL, I'd be a little bit worried about Tyler Van Dyke in Miami, and if they're going to be utilizing him to his fullest potential. So I think Pitts squarely in that zone where you get that combination of schedule and solidly coach defense. They're just going to win games. Dan Rubenstein great stuff. Solid verbal podcast, a deep dive into Texas. Next. Regular seasoned foot. "Right now, and you could play, you know, you could do alt win totals. The cowboys right now, it's over under is ten. Juiced to the over at minus one 20. So even money to the under. Oh, I have to think about it. What? I mean, I don't see them losing 8 games. I'll be honest. I mean, dak Prescott's still top half of the league quarterback. The vision's tougher? CD lamb. I mean, he sees he's gonna do it all by himself. But come on. This is not gonna fall off a cliff here. You've completely changed your tune on them then. With the offensive line question marks, when we previewed them when we did summer conditioning, you were I don't think they're legit contender to make any noise or like get into playoffs and shake something. At best I think they have a mirror of their season last year with just a slightly worse record in the regular season. Get into playoffs lose. Everybody's frustrated. This time Mike McCarthy probably will get fired. All right, let's do this. We'll table this. We'll take a look at some of our favorite win totals. We'll do this in the next segment. I want to wrap up the Jaguars here. So you lean towards the under. Yes, heavily. Heavily lean towards the under under 6 and a half, which is minus one 20 here at circa for the Jaguars. Three and 14 last year. One thing that was brought up and now you've got to worry about injuries and all that. But talking to Hayes Carl Lyon just a moment ago, Travis Etienne, Travis Etienne, his over under on combined rushing and receiving yards is a 1025. He was thinking 1400, huh? Yeah. I mean, that might be something. If he's the main guy, I would much rather hear, here's what I'll say on that though, is I would much rather play the combined rushing and receiving yards than just rushing yards of 705. I think that that would be the route I would go on a Jaguar bet. I would go over ETN rushing and receiving yards. I think he's going to be involved quite a bit. I can see that. Yeah. I mean, once again, he's coming off the Liz Frank injury, so you're worried about the door. Seems like he's been back, though, based on what he said. And he said he was all the OTA days and everything. So it seems like he's been pretty healthy. All right, so that would be my favorite play. You like the under on the Jags. I'll be a little more optimistic for the Jaguars. I'll go over the optimism. They could double their win total from last year and still not hit the under. At the oval, you mean? I mean, the over. Yeah. All right. We'll do a little exercise on the fly. Here at circa you can parlay a college and an NFL win total below. Poke around and see which one jumps out the most. We'll do that next right here on the night. I end dot com. This is the nightcap on Visa and these sports Betty network.

"Of $62,500 in total cash prizes had the DraftKings dot com slash blue moon, now to join the action blue moon made brighter. 21 and over only terms of conditions and other eligibility restrictions applies to DraftKings dot com for details, drink. Responsibly, alongside Sean king two lane greenway legend, I am Tim Murray and we are getting closer and closer, less than two weeks away from good old week zero of the college football season less than three weeks away from it all getting going Labor Day weekend and always love having our next guest on. He is the other half of the solid verbal. We've had his partner ty Hilton brand on, but we welcome in now Dan Rubenstein, who also is a connoisseur of pizza and restaurants anywhere in this country and they gave me a nice recommendation for some tacos in Bakersfield, California over the weekend. So I appreciate that, but more importantly, Dan, we were talking a little bit about LSU as one of the more kind of fascinating teams, obviously Brian Kelly, what goes down there. They were very busy in the portal, news comes out today that miles Brennan is retiring so it looks like it'll be a two horse race now for quarterback, Jayden Daniels, a Garrett nuss Meyer. What are your expectations of year one of the Kelly era in Baton Rouge? You know, I was sort of keeping myself a little bit cold watery with LSU. If that's an adjective, I can use on air. But the more I looked into their depth chart, the more I looked into the fact that Brian Kelly is generally a very much winning coach and if quarterback is at a pretty good place and I know people hire on nus Meyer and I'm not as high on Jane Daniels as I think others are so mess Meyer with that job. They're in a really nice place. They probably got one of the best 5 receivers in the country, the other young receivers are really good there. The offensive line is a good shape. I like where they're at upfront on defense. I think they can win 9 or ten games if they can win a couple of those toss up games. I think they're in a really good place. I'm high on them. Sean is not. He's grinding his teeth right now. Look, quarterback is a huge, if I have to say, if quarterback works out, that's a problem. I get that. I'm saying, if quarterback works out. But they're pretty stacked in a lot of interesting, like John emery should work out at running back finally, the former number one overall running back. But I don't know. You look at their schedule. If their defense is good, and if their offense is fine, look at their road games, they've got an auburn team in October that could be falling apart. We have no idea what to expect from the tires. We have first year Florida on the road. And yeah, that's that pseudo rivalry game. And that's tough. And it's bookended with two top off and the Tennessee and old myth. I get it. But like, who are the defenses right now on LSU's schedule that scare you? Like Mississippi state, sure, miss auburn sure, we'll see with Florida. I don't know about old miss yet. Alabama obviously Arkansas is a week to week thing. We had saw a 52 to 51 Arkansas game last year. A and M should be good. But who has their act together in the SEC as a complete team? I'm not seeing a lot of them on this schedule. It's going to be fascinating to watch. I mean, I'm with you then. I think blue team is one of the top receivers in the country. Yeah, he's great. But other than that, I just don't know where they're elite. Skill wise on offense. And I'm not a big fan of Jayden Daniels soaked me and you think of like on that. And I know nothing is a terrible, but he doesn't really have high upside and when I look at that schedule and you know I see hinden hooker and Anthony Richardson and Bryce young and, you know, the quarterbacks are going to face, I wonder if they don't get at least average play from the quarterback position. Are they deep enough on defense? You know, I know they're always going to have, you know, in that top 11, a couple of NFL guys, but when they were really good, it's because their second and third teams were stopped, you know, with highly ranked highly talented future NFL kids as well. You know, Dan. Totally hear you. They hit the portal heart on decent, by the way. They arguably got Oklahoma state's best corner to come in. And obviously LSU doesn't usually have to do that because how deep they are, as you mentioned on defense, but they were really proactive in the portal. For the first time in a while, they weren't that theme. Eli rich Lee, but I think we're going to be pretty decent. They're going to give their younger guys time to develop, which is why they hit the portal. I mean, you remember the head of the bowl game. They had like 37 kids eligible to play against Kansas state. So I think they're rounding that out with some upperclassmen from the portal and they're giving their kids time to develop. I think honestly, I know it's year one, so maybe they go waiting for 9 and three, whatever. I don't expect them to sort of really compete for the west in earnest, but I just, I think they're more complete right now than a lot of teams on their schedule. Yeah, I'm taking away and see approach with the portal. Because I think Arkansas is in the same boat. You know, these teams that are going to be dependent on, you know, 7 plus transfer guys that come in and start and play in a produce. I'm not Ford or against it. Then I kind of just all the teams that did that independent on it, kind of going to take a wait and see approach and see how this works out from a macro kind of evaluation. Dan, I want to, so when you said that you liked LSU, Sean's reaction was kind of who is the team, Dan, as we're talking to Dan Rubenstein from the solid verbal podcast, who's that team that maybe is getting a buzz this off season, or you see in the top ten or top 15 that kind of gives you that reaction like, ah, I don't know. Who's that team that you have maybe more questions than the AP pollsters or the media is digging so far this off season? All right, so I see that the top 15 and I see an Oklahoma state team that has a wildcard at quarterback and lost a ton on defense, but I still think I like to have more than kind of everybody else in the big 12, which is a weird place to be. I see 1415 16 at USC, Michigan state Miami. I don't see a lot of defense with USC in Michigan state. Everybody's talking about obviously the offensive firepower with USC, but up front. They might be starting a three star front 7. Like I don't think they're starting any blue chips on their front 7. And look, it's the PAC 12. They might be able to get away with it. I just like Utah a lot more. And I just have questions if USC can win 45 42 every week. That's just a tough way to go about your business. And Michigan state. Michigan state hit the portal really hard. I really like Mel Tucker. But offensively, they were not they were so reliant on Kenneth Lockhart, Kenny walker, to hit some home runs, and with what they were giving up on defense. And again, I know they hit the portal hard, Xavier Henderson is a really good edge rusher. I'm your speed, as a good amount to their secondary. But how much better are they than the 100th best pass defense, which is where they were last year. And winning those 50 50 games, the way they beat Penn State, the way they beat Nebraska. That worries me that that's not a way you can afford to win every year. And so that's concerning to me with Michigan state playing in the big tennis. Otherwise, I think I'm okay with it. There's a lot of quarterback questions in the Big Ten. The SEC has some defense questions, new coach questions. But otherwise, I mean, look, we can have a conversation about Clemson. If DJ U is just flat out not good, they've got a 5 star in cape club Nick that, you know, he's a freshman so you can't count on him to be a playoff caliber quarterback despite whichever Lawrence did. But they'll be all right. Clemson, I see as more top 12 than top 5, that makes sense. Yeah, I agree. You know, Michigan state 'cause I'm not a guy that thinks Peyton Thorne is like in the upper Echelon even the Big Ten from a quarterback standpoint. He's not, you know, CJ Stroud or I don't even think it's JJ McCarthy. From Michigan, you know, I think he was a guy that kind of managed the game, you know, behind that you mentioned a strong Russian attack led by Kenneth walker. So that surprised me. Another one that kind of jumps out to me. It's a couple spots lower than this. It's Pittsburgh. You lose Kenny Pickett, Jordan, adelson, transfers, since you are seeing your office coordinator leaves, you lost some guys in the secondary to the NFL. What is it about this Pittsburgh team that people are believing in? Somebody's got to be ranked there.

"That would be the way to do it. If you could find, you know, if they allow you, I mean, you could go alt with some guarantees. You could go 5 and a half under if you think they're. No, I mean, but you could put Jacksonville Atlanta in the bears together. The one I wanted to do was when you could do it. I think still has it in college if I could do it with Alabama and Ohio State both over ten and a half, but that's not allowed. All right, let's just go to Jeff and see if they can create it. Yeah, that's not going to happen. You never know to yes. You can ask, you know, I'm sure say no. 'cause it's kind of a correlated thing, right? You know, all those wind totals put together. About a text on my guy. Any texture right now, he'll say no. Trust you. You might be trying to jump down there before me. What are you talking about? I get the bad end before. Before what? That what? All right. While you text, this is quality, you know, live programming while you text. I want to stick with the rookies. So we've talked a little bit about offensive rookie of the year. Two of the top candidates to win defensive rookie of the year are on the Jaguars roster. We've got Trayvon walker, who is third in the odds behind Aiden Hutchins in a cave on thibodeau, same odds that DraftKings as Kyle Hamilton in Baltimore to win rookie of the year on the defense aside, 8 to one there, and then you go a little bit further down. You got Devin Lloyd. Now, Devin Lloyd is interesting because he's been hurt, so you haven't seen him yet. But at 15 to one, I think Devon Lloyd's interesting one because, you know, look, 8 and Hutchinson, cave on thibodeau Trayvon walker. Are they going to pick up those sacs? That's what's going to get them the award. Kyle Hamilton could be a guy that could pick up a ton of interceptions, make some big plays in the secondary. Obviously sauce gardener there with the jets as a starter, quay walker certainly has gotten some buzz there in Green Bay. But Devin loy was a guy that you really liked coming out of you. I don't like hamstrings.

"This indie team. They're bigot receiver, but they're not very athletic, and they were having a very difficult time separating from the bills. Now, bills that one of the best defenses in football. But this is something that we should watch as we follow Endy. Pitman peers and these guys, he's a big body guys, but they're not very evasive and quick guys. They're struggling. How to make a lot of contested catches, you know, based on what I saw early in the game when the ones were actually in the game. Man, Ryan played quite a bit. You know who didn't play in that game? It's kind of a Taylor. Yeah, he's he doesn't he open things up. I don't question their run game. I'm just saying. But what I'm saying is that doesn't Jonathan Taylor's ability to run as arguably the best running back in the league, doesn't that help out the wide receivers because there'll be more commitment to the run game? No. That's a safety deal. The corners. And then nickel guys, they're gonna be covering our receivers. I'm not too worried about the colts. I don't say I was worried. I say something to follow. Could end up being a good thing for them. I remember when Denver was rolling and they had rod, Smith and Ed McCaffrey as a receipt. Now rod had a lot of topping speed, but he wasn't like a super evasive in and out of break guy. And McCaffrey, you know, he's a big guy too. So it can work. I'm just saying, that was something that I noticed that a lot of people probably didn't in that preseason game. They're big at receiver, but they're not super athletic. So whereas when I watch the chiefs, mahomes are spreading that ball around to everybody and chiefs are going to be a problem. Even without tyreek hill, they're going to be extremely awesome guys. They can run, change direction, and they're going to be explosive one offense. So just because the conversation started with the MVP race, if you ask me which one of those guys, I take my homes at 9 to one. Yeah, I think I certainly think that he is, I agree. I think he's got something to prove, too. For sure. By the way, you know what? Carson Wentz average yards per attempt last year? It probably wouldn't be. Under 7. Kind of system he played. I just told you they got nobody to get deep. No, that's. And then we got my guy make Lauren this year, see what he does with all that speed Jahan dotson. Yeah, let's get it. Let me throw it over their heads like he's been doing a practice. But hey, you know. You dream big there. The guy that two organizations said, ah, get out. We don't want to hear anymore. It's a nightcap. See them. Subtle things. Like the indie buffalo game. I came away, you know, indie made struggle against teams that can play tight man to man covers. They're big, but they don't get a lot of separation at wide receiver. Other times, I want to see movements, how's a guy coming off an injury look to me? Does he look explosive? Does he look like he's all the way healthy? These are the kind of things I'm looking for. Offensive line, you know, are they getting movement on the run plays? You know, I'm not really looking at results as much as I'm looking at for subtle things that kind of go into what I think is going to happen in the rest of the season. So that's why I think the preseason important. Not necessarily big. It was on win the game lose the game. All right? And every defensive coordinator in the preseason that gives up a gazillion points and yards are going to say, well, we didn't really game plan. But at the end of the day, good defenses have guys that make plays, bad defenses don't. So, to directly come with your question, you know, if that becomes an issue with the commanders, I didn't really focus on them on defense since I was watching baker and darnold and the parents quarterbacks, but I go back and rewatch the game. If you need me to especially the early parts of it, but again, I think they're destiny's gonna be taught their D line. Yeah, there's been chase young is coming off an ACL. He'll probably start the season on the pup, so he won't be playing for first couple of weeks. It was a complicated ACL ordeal that he had to go through. You know, montez sweat in a contract year could have a big deal. It's a good thing. Jonathan Allen got paid, rightfully so. So to me, it all revolves around the deal. Laurent Payne is Sam mills. We'll see if that was the right move. So I actually think they're linebackers are very poor. And they spent a first round pick on one last year and he very much underachieved what kind of step does jamon Davis make in year two? Hopefully for them a big one. I think everyone talks about the D line. Where is he from? Sell the list. In Kentucky, yeah. I think he's no Josh Allen. Is that what you're saying? No. And I thought, you know, I bought into the jamin Davis hype last year. I bought a ticket on him to win offensive defensive rookie of the year because who hand picked him. A former linebacker. I wouldn't give up. I'm not giving up on him. I'm just saying, he's got a lot to prove. I look at that linebacking core and I'm like, yeesh. They're elite. They're elite on their D line. Are they though? Well, they got lit up. Talent wise. That's the difference though. So they've got first round picks up and down that D line. They should be elite, but I felt like people, they drooled from the mouth over them two years ago because when they played crappy teams, they beat them, but when then they played good teams, they got lit up, the statue in 2020. I spoke to someone who's very close to that situation and one of the reasons the Sam mills isn't there because he was more of a read and react teacher. Whereas moving forward, they're going to be an aggressive, get up the field, penetrate, create havoc, play the game on the other side of the line of scrimmage type of defense. So they've got the talent. There's no doubt. I mean, young. Maybe that subtle adjustment is what they need. And the bizarre part was young last year was having a very poor season. He gets hurt, the defensive line actually improved when he was out of the lineup. So, look, I'm not saying that chase young's a bust or anything like that. So listen, I want to just tell you now. I heard you? We'll see. I mean, look, I'm from that area every off season, it's all about over hype and under delivering. That's all in on the commanders. That's what they thought about them. I know because you're not from there. This is what they do. So I'm not looking at it with the weight of the past, attached to it. I'm just looking at it based on this year. As its own movie on book, you know, without any context from what has happened previously. So I get the differentiation for someone that's followed. Commanders, watch them football team Redskins last year. They were one of the most hyped teams. I wasn't high on them last year. I know. They underachieved last year. I think they are, they're better. Remember, we sat in here with Sean Merriman. And I said I wasn't high on the Washington. I was like, my favorite, this is generally a teach. It was my favorite win total. A tough lesson year. I was under. You know, but now I think after that tough lesson, they're ready to take the next step. So now I'm back high on the commanders. Oh, we'll see. I mean, a lot of it comes down to the quarterback play. They upgrade it. They upgraded for sure. But how good is Carson Wentz? Good enough. And that division is better than Daniel Jones. We'll see. It was more proven in Jalen hurts. Lost his job to Jalen hurts. Got better people around him than deck Prescott in my opinion. Overall, on offense. At pretty good people around

"Success they can have this year, that limits them. Because I don't think they have a lot of elite talent. And I think, you know, their overall roster is a little more talented than Chicago or Atlanta. Or Atlanta, or even Detroit. In a lot of ways. Their own line is not as good as Detroit, but in a lot of ways, you know, they have better skill talent in my opinion or more proven skill talent. I should say, but they don't have a lot of gossip excites you. Now, where you get excited on the other side of the ball. Yeah. They have a chance to be salty. Josh Allen, one of the top 15, 20 players on defense, and that's football league in my opinion. You add Trayvon walker and that elite, you know, those elite attributes. You love Devin. Yeah, I love Devin Lloyd. You know. They got Shaquille Griffin playing corner who's been really good as time in Seattle and I was in Jacksonville. So they have some guys, you know, defense that make you say, you know, they had a chance to be pretty darn good. Yeah. And you know, one of the most bizarre results of the entire NFL season last year to your point about the defense was that game that they beat the Buffalo Bills. I mean, they bottled up the bills in a 9 6 win. Twice. They didn't have a lot of success both times against bills. And they only played them once, but they beat the bills and that was, you know, Josh Allen had a ton of sacks in that game. So now you bring in Trayvon walker on the other side, Devin Lloyd. You know, I like the kid that got at a Wyoming Chad mumma, depending on what you think of Dane brug, who breaks down prospects he had. Devin Lloyd is his top rated linebacker and he had muma as his fourth rated linebacker and they got both of them. So, you know, like you mentioned Lloyd's dealing with a hamstring injury, but it might be a couple of years away. I like the pieces that they're putting into place here, especially defensively. I want to jump to the offensive line though. So Trevor Lawrence was sacked 32 times last year, a re signed cam Robinson coming off. I think a Pro Bowl year or he's a Pro Bowl in the past. They give him an extension. Brandon sheriff comes in at 5 time pro bowler. He's now plugged in a right guard. They're going to have a rookie center. Luke fortner out of Kentucky all first team all SEC. So he steps right in, is likely a plug and play. How much with the addition of sheriff and bring it in a rookie center, which is always maybe a bit of worrisome. How much better is that office of line right now?

Let's do a little bit of a deep dive on your beloved tulane green wave. Curious about them this year. Really? Yeah. Well, we got practical quarterback by. Yeah. By the way, USF announced Jerry bohannon as a starting quarterback. And your guy of course Timmy McLean went in the portal. Yeah. I don't know how I feel about that. Miles Brennan retired today. I saw that. Miles took a whole lot of NIL money with him too from what I saw something pop up. Yeah, a bunch of companies, he had signed deals with and NIL deals are not and can not be performance based, so. Raising canes, smoothie king, game coins, small, sliders, howlings, Ford, Richards, Ford. Good for good for him. He did not play a single game since signing. But because in our deals can't be based on performance, he keeps all the money. Nice. Beautiful. Beautiful. But yeah, I gotta love America. Remember, miles Brennan went in the portal. He was a starter two years ago. Ryan Kelly convinced him to pull his name out of the portal and he is now injured last year, mister holt season. And so it'll be it seems like either Jaden Daniels, the Arizona state transfer or Garrett nussmeier, the freshman who people were hiring. The dog son, right? Is Doug still the cowboys? I don't know. I do not know. Check that out. But we'll get to college football here, bottom of the hour. Dan Rubenstein will join us. Yeah, still Aaron just said, still with the still with the Dallas Cowboys. It'll be interesting to see how that all plays out. I can't remember. I got to know him when he was down at Florida. Okay. And I was at USF. Were you, are you high or where are you on Jaden Daniels as a court of law? Nowhere, nowhere? Yeah. Kind of indifferent. Yeah. Just a guy. Yeah. And we'll see what else you. Why don't we tough trend for a tricky week one? Tricky week one again. This year. Oh, that's a 50 50 game if I ever seen it. Absolutely. Line's been moving? Only advantage other she has this in New Orleans. Yeah, it's basically quasi home game, but Tyler has he's not there for, oh, there'll be plenty for you. You know, so it'll be a lot of there as well. That line has moved. It's now LSU minus three. I want to say. It was one and a half at first, wasn't it? Yeah, so it's moved a little bit towards the Bayou bangles. But that's the Sunday Night game. So Florida state for a second consecutive year gets that Sunday Night game and we almost pulled up set last year. They had your Irish on the ropes. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Good old that was when I came in and was like, I don't know, it was Marcus Freeman ready for this. And now he's the head coach of Notre-Dame. Ryan Kelly starts out with a loss in Louisiana to FSU. 'cause I think they're gonna have a rough conference like in conference here like, yo, we'll put out, you wanna do that. Doesn't seem like there's any excitement coming. You wanna do Ellen? They're not ranked, but they're a team that I think has a lot of curiosity. They're terrible last year. I would like to know, and we probably could ask this would be like a question for one of the analytics guys, but when's the last time Texas Ellis shoe and Florida outside of the top 20 four outside of the AP top 25 preseason poll? It's a good question. That's a good question. And there's no individually they've had some down years, but Florida all three in the same year. Florida state hasn't been in the top 24. Well yeah, I wouldn't. Oh, he said Florida. I said Florida. Florida, LSU, Texas. Well, there's some interesting trends. I want to look at this tomorrow about top ten teams that will finish on ranked, unranked teams that will finish top ten. It happens every year. And we try to pick those. Some people think that Texas might be one of those unranked teams that gets it closes in the top ten. But we'll get to college football here in just a minute. But I want to just some takeaways from week one of the preseason and looking at the rookies more specifically, George pickens a guy that we've talked about quite a bit on this show, he had a really nice catch in the corner of the end zone Sean so caught a touchdown. His odds at one spot in town were 30 to one. I took a little nibble on it to win offensive rookie of the year before they played on Saturday and at that particular book I checked earlier today down to 14 to one at DraftKings, Sean, he is now ten to one. George pickens to win offensive rookie of the year. I am so intrigued. I know I've said it a bunch on this show about who's going to win offensive rookie of the year because there isn't at least it seems right now, Sean, a quarterback that will play significant time in this season or at least early on in this season. But we did see a bunch of rookie quarterbacks out there. Your guys, Sam Howell, a couple touchdown drives, a couple touchdown runs, Desmond Ritter through a touch sound pass. That was maybe a bit fortunate to be caught in the end zone Malik Willis on Thursday night. In Thursday night, he had to scramble for a score. And can he pick it? I thought it looked pretty solid. You know, so let me put context on all of these. Yes. They're running against the same kind of animals. In horse racing, like you have a horse that's always in claiming races and he wins. Because he's running against his friends, but when he steps up to graded stakes races, you know, that's a different animal. That's a different level. So a lot of these rookies are playing against basically the same caliber guys that the college kids, 'cause that's when they're getting in the game. The majority of most of these guys played the second half of these games. So, you know, it'll be interesting, you know, if or when they get a chance against some of the frontline guys, you know, the production or the highlights from a positive standpoint, continue, but you want to start your NFL career off with doing some good things and I thought they all had moments where they showed enough ability where their teams should be encouraged. Well, and you know this better than I do, but these quarterbacks right now, these defenses

"More sports betting discussion around your local team, Bette rivers has you covered Bette rivers has launched a series of city cast designed to tackle sports betting from the local perspective there a city cast in Chicago, Denver, Detroit, LA, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Washington, D.C., subscribe to your local city cast wherever you get your podcasts alongside Sean king, I'm Tim Murray, thanks as always to our good friend Patrick Everson, follow him on Twitter at Patrick E underscore Vegas and some good insight and a market it's funny that we have really not talked about is the MVP market this upcoming season. And the information that Patrick obtained was from the folks over at bet MGM. So I pulled up at MGM's current odds and he said that the leader in ticket and money at bed MGM, so these odds are going to be a little bit different, but actually pretty comparable, honestly, to what bet MGM is offering. These odds that were showing you right now on the screen are on DraftKings. Russell Wilson down from 30 to 14 to one, Sean. Favorite as Josh Allen, same odds as DraftKings 7 to one, Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady both sitting at 8 to one at bed MGM and Aaron Rodgers ten to one Justin Herbert at DraftKings is ten to one. Joe burrow 12 to one Matthew Stafford 15 to one thinking about this season. Who is a player that you would be interested in backing in this market? Russell Wilson, of course, has never received a first place vote for MVP in his career. Tom Brady, is this the last go round for Tom Brady at age 45, Aaron Rodgers is one what, four MVPs, two in a row now, mahomes won it. Justin Herbert's another guy that certainly seems to be picking up a lot of steam in this market. Who jumps out at you when it comes to this award. Trey Lance has gotten a lot of love. He's down to 30 to one at Ben MGM. We're talking about guys that can actually win it. Well, you mentioned Carson Wentz, so. There's a better chance than Trey Lance. No, he doesn't. It's an interesting list. I mean, so how much of you think it's tied to team success? I mean, because I can name 6 of these guys that are going through for 4500 plus yards and 30 touchdowns. Well, so how do they separate? Like last year to me, Brady deserved to win an over Rogers. What Brady did last year was unbelievable. So I just, I mean, what would Justin Herbert have to do to win this award with the charges have to be first or second seat in the AFC? You know, that's just what I'm trying to decide what I'm looking at. How much of it is attached to team success. A lot of it is. So now I'm looking at the teams. So Aaron Rodgers went the last two years that went 13 and three both of those years. I guess they won 13 to four last year. Lamar Jackson was just unbelievable above and beyond. He's interested because he said 20 to one. He's going to have to be an MVP with that group of below average skill guys that got in Baltimore. All right. I like to tight in, that's it. The vision you're talking about my AFC north. Those guys. Yeah. So 20 to one, you're sitting there with Lamar. He's already won it, though, would they give him another one? All right, let's do this. I'm gonna lump them up and who would you rather take? All right, so we'll do, we'll do the favorites group. So it'll be Josh Allen, Brady, mahomes, Rogers, Herbert burrow, Wilson. So those 7. I took my homes. Because I think if he goes out and duplicates what he's been doing, he'll get a lot of credit for it with Tariq not being there. Mahomes 9 to one a DraftKings right now won it, what? Four years ago, his first full year as a starter. Yeah. And then it was Lamar and then Aaron the past two years. Of those 7. Yeah, I mean, I could see it. Yeah. It's the most likely and to me it's the one that amount of obstacles to overcome. The expectations are so high for the bills, I mean, if they go 12 and 5, so I silenced not winning MVP. And can they go 12 times? Yeah, it ain't going to fail. 100%. All right, this next group, we'll call them the middle, got Stafford, dak, Jalen hurts, Lamar, Kyler Murray, Derek Carr. It's kind of that middle group. Of those who would rather take. I'm with you. I would take a little more. But he's the only one that can win it on that list. Deshaun has to be suspended the whole year. It looks like. And those other guys are going to be outside shot collar has a great year, but without Deandre Hopkins, I'm not signed with that. That doesn't have Amari. Jalen hurts shouldn't be on the list. I mean, Lamar is the only one that I think legitimately has a shot. Three Lance has no shot. Better shot than Carson Wentz. Yeah, this is ridiculous. Who's a better roster, forty-niners are commanders. Hold a knife. Yeah. He's got more to work with. Got a much better play caller on his side. I mean, I'm not sitting here telling you Carson Wentz is going to end one day MVP, but I take Carson Wentz over Trey Lance. As far as who I ride with this year, I don't know. I mean, listen, trade lands look composed in week one. Every throw we made, I thought the guys are wide open. I don't know if Green Bay's been doing any practicing in the secondary, but didn't look like it. But we'll see. I hope he does well. I really do. I think they win the division. I bet it. I think the forty-niners win the NFC. Oh, over the rails? West, yes. I do. They got, they got the rams number. Shanahan. We'll find out. Well, they swept in the regular season of Jimmy Garoppolo. They beat him when it mattered. Pee down his leg. They win that game? They beat him. They beat him when they matter. I know. Yeah. And they won the Super Bowl. I don't know the motive. How motivated are the rams? They just want to get back to the playoffs. How's Trey Lance a shorter price doing NFL MVP? The Carson Wentz. It's a mirror. I don't know. Carson was still 27 touchdowns, some pick slash shit. I know a lot of people. If you keep bringing up, if you look at the advanced numbers, he didn't have a good year. Well, I'm just looking at what the real numbers were on advanced and all of that. The numbers were what they were. Okay. I get it. You know, if 14 guys would have dropped the ball instead of catching it on badly inaccurate thrown balls, then they ended up being what they were. It's fascinating to me. Guys never started a full season. His numbers. And they might end up being right. And by the way, did you watch the colts, bills, and what? Preseason games? Stop with the presets. For the love of God. I asked a simple question. You should watch it. Something that I had mentioned that kind of scares

"His college teammate we talked about it, Travis Etienne, missed all of last year with a Liz Frank injury. James Robinson had 767 yards on the ground 8 touchdowns, but in speaking to a Hayes car line just a moment ago, the expectation is that Travis Etienne is going to be the guy. It's good to have two of them. This year. Yeah. For sure. And ETN is a really quality pass catcher out of the backfield. You've got Marvin Jones, zay Jones, they spent a lot of money on Christian Kirk, levis chanal is still on that roster. They went out and they got Evan Ingram. So looking at the weapons, and I also think snoop Connor, I actually like that selection. They traded up a little bit to get snoop Connor, the running back out of old miss, you know, kind of a bigger bodied guy. Maybe he gets some goal line touches. You know, just a third, your third back, you could have a lot less third backs in my opinion than a guy like snoop Connor. So I agree, not elite, but certainly improved who, when you look at the skill position players around Beverly Lawrence, who excites you, who do you think helps elevate him to another level? No, no, none of them. Really? Yeah. Even ETN? I mean well, it's unknown. I think you like your skill set, as you mentioned, a guy in catch the ball out of the backfield was very explosive at Clemson. Great, you know, in the open field of making guys miss, I was talking more of the receiving court because when you say Christian Kirk Marvin Jones, zay Jones, familiar names. And as a fan, you feel really good if any of those guys are third receiver. Are your fourth receiver? You don't feel good if any of those guys are your number one wide receiver. And I think when I look at Jacksonville and

"Little bit of consternation, I think. Yeah, it's down to ten to one for George pickens at MGM. It's ten to one a DraftKings. I think it's 14 to one at west Gates, 7 to one here at circus. So he's a guy, certainly that is a, that is getting some serious buzz. We were talking about Trayvon walker. We were breaking down the Jaguars last hour and Trayvon walker and Devin Lloyd, two guys, first round picks that are possibilities for defensive rookie of the year on the Jaguars, Aiden hutcheson and kevon thibodeau, most markets are the favorites, what kind of action have some book seen when it comes to defensive rookie of the year? Well, again, this coming from bed MGM and Hutchinson basically has been the favorite all along here, but it's pretty close between him. And thibodeau and the tickets and money are heavy to Hudson. Almost half of all tickets written in this market at bet MGM are on Hutchinson and just slightly left, 46 and a half percent of money is on Hutchinson in that market. And so again, he's leading in tickets and money and he is the biggest liability just by even though he's in a short number of 5 to one plus 5 50 somewhere in that range. He's got such a volume of tickets and money that he is the biggest liability there. Second in tickets is again a pivotal. He is also second in money, but a distant second in both. Like I said, Hutchinson 49% of tickets to 7.7%. Handle. 46 and a half percent Hutchinson. Pivot O 14 and a half percent. And then nobody else is getting more than 5 and a half percent of the money or just a little under 7% of the ticket. It's pretty much a Hutchinson. As well as really, it's a 100% dominated market fibo at distant second and everybody else really trail and trailing far back and third. You know, patch, you've been in the game a long time. Which one of these markets generally does the biggest handle? Is it rookie of the year? The defensive MVP is offensively pee. Which market consistently takes the biggest handle. Oh, I think it's more than likely the one that people are going to, you know, because the public is generally going to determine which market takes the most. And I think what they're probably going to be most interested in is it might be offensive work of the year, but I just leaned toward MVP. And always a popular market and it's always going to be the very highlight real players. Mainly quarterbacks. And perhaps a couple of mostly quarterbacks. And then perhaps a couple of the flashier running backs are wide receivers. But the quarterbacks are touching the ball all the time. And this is definitely an interesting market at bet MGM. A quarterback with a new team and with my team, so let's go, Russell Wilson, dangerous, open 30 to one of Ben MGM down to 14 to one. He leads in tickets and he leads in money at bet MGM and he also is their biggest liability, but he opened a 30 odd buy at least half. I haven't looked at the very latest on that, but those are probably by at least half at this point. So by more than half, and then after him, I don't think this is going to surprise anybody at all, but his numbers were somewhat shorter. Josh Allen, opened at 9, went to 7 east second and tickets and money, not too far behind Russell Wilson in either of those categories. Those two are running pretty much neck and neck. And then it drops off significantly. Nobody else has even half the money or half a ticket that Wilson and Allen have. You got Tom Brady. Follow him on. Take the Visa and experts with you. This is the nightcap on Visa and these sports Betty. It's a love story. It's a family story. It's a story of lavish parties and lively conversation. It's the story of a haven for painters, poets, and intellectuals. A story of steamer crosses and priceless works of art. Of innovation and obsession. Of endless gardens, lush forests and rolling Meadows. It's a story of 1000 men in the 6 years they spent creating America's largest home with 250 magnificent rooms each with its own stories to tell. But all this can even begin to tell the full story of Biltmore. Come walk in the footsteps of the Vanderbilt family and discover something magnificent around every corner. For most minute detail to larger than life grandeur, because as wondrous as the story of built more may be, it can never be complete without you. Plan your stay at Biltmore

"How has he been and I know Devin Lloyd, your other early pick has a slight hamstring injury, but before that, how have those two young rookies look so far in training camp? Yeah, I didn't like the Trayvon walker pick. I loved the Devon Lloyd pick, but I quickly came around on the Trayvon walker pick. Once I saw him, because he's just different. He's just an unbelievable athlete. I've covered the Jaguar since 2013. They've had a top 5 pick in almost every one of those years. And other than Trayvon walker, there's only been one other player they've ever drafted since I've been on the beat that the first time I saw him, I said, that guy is just different. And it was Jalen Ramsey. Different position, but Trayvon walker, the first time I saw him, I'd never seen anything like it. I mean, his frame has linked his speed. His size is just extraordinary for an outside linebacker. And it has shown up. He has done really well how to sack against the Raiders and the Hall of Fame game and had another really strong rush in which he was called for roughing the quarterback because his hands got a little high, but the rush was good. And then this past game against Cleveland made a nice tackle on third down to force a punt, drew a holding penalty. So he has been very disruptive. You know, who knows if he'll be able to finish plays. Is a rookie we've seen a lead players need a year to really get the sack total going. But he looks like he is going to be at least disruptive right out of the gate. So he really looks good. Devin Lloyd, like you said, we haven't gotten a chance to see he was great in OTAs, but obviously that's no contact. I anticipate that he's going to return to full contact, if not. Later this week, then certainly by next week.

"With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I am Tim Murray and you smell it. You smell it, it's getting closer. Getting a little closer, less than two weeks away from week zero of the college football season, less than three weeks away from a full big old slate of college football, week two of the preseason will get going later on this week, a full week in the books. Oh, baby. Previews everywhere, Sean. You feel it? Getting a little getting a little juiced up, you're calling some high school football this week. I am. I'm excited about that. I'll be on its shadow ridge as they take on. I think it's Durango. So kind of figure out the city a little bit, because I looked at the schedule. Driving around a little bit. On the whip. I see you doing your work or coming in, you got feel stills, college football guides sitting on the desk. Well, as I would like. I could have picked up a couple extras for me and Aaron, but that's okay. Oh, I'm still waiting for my two lane gear from maybe if you had brought back some gear from your Hall of Fame induction, maybe I would have been more willing to say, you know what? I should get two of these instead of just one. Yeah. It's fair. Just saying. That's fair. But it was a pleasant surprise. I know. I think I have, of course, I have the Visa and guide, which is a must obtain, but grab as many as possible. I got them all. I got Lindy's in there, Phil Steele. I'm trying to get as much homework done. See if there's a couple more wind totals, maybe to jump in on maybe a future long shot, you know, when a conference or something like that. And you got your feel still from Albertsons? Yeah, just the grocery store. All right, I gotta swing by there. Is I was just late night hours or. Sure, yeah. I'm sure we could find one. If you would like, since I'm such a good, good guy. I would be happy to pick you one up. That would be phenomenal. I didn't know you'd want one. Yeah, that would be tremendous. I appreciate that greatly. Happy to pick you one up. They're just $350. That's fun. But yeah, I'm fired up. We're getting closer. You know, look, the week zero slate is not the sexiest, but it's something that gives us a late night Hawaii game. We get to no one get a New Mexico state. Nevada state, which by the way, shouts to you that line continues to move Sean. Down to 9? This will be all the way down to New Mexico state will be the favorite. This will be the largest line move in history. What is thing open up at two touchdowns? There were some spots. So it's 5 points already in this movie. I'm telling you, it'll be a pick them by kick. I don't know if it'll go that far, but oh, it's going. It might be under a touchdown. We'll see, but that's the way it's moving. But yes, Sean is going to be invested? Maybe I'll jump on the fighting Jerry kills. But hurry up. Before they're the favorite. Oh man, so we had pre season action over the weekend, some interesting nuggets. I just, I need to, there are certain things that I just continue to forget to do, which is, which is a lot, but why I don't blindly just bet the Marlins every sandy. It's under. I told you. It's unbelievable. You didn't play it? I haven't mentioned it to you. Last week. Yeah. I did not. I don't know. I was busy today. There's things going on. You have to put an alert on your phone, so when sandy's pitching, it lets you know. And don't even look at it. Just blindly go bet the first 5 under. Well, it worked again today as sandy Alcantara through 7 scoreless gave up four hits, lowering his ERA to a microscopic 1.92, the over under on the first 5 over under was just three. It was a hell of a pitching matchup with Joe musgrove and sandy Alcantara. By the way, you could have gotten the Marlins at a nice plus one 25 a DraftKings plus one 30 here at circa and the Marlins get it done. By the way, the Padres, third time they've been shut out in the last 8 games. And bode well. That's what the way the mets front into that staff is looking at with the Dodger staff. You don't want to be a team that can't get the ball in play and get some hits against quality picture. And that's what departments look like right now. Unfortunately for the Padres, which the number is, I mean, I know they took two of three against the nationals and I'm sure a lot of padre fans are frustrated with the questionable call on a home plate overturn in on Saturday nights game in Washington, but those odds to me still are wild, how heavy it is for them to make the playoffs, Sean, considering they're only a game and a half clear of the brewers for that final wild card spot, but fortunately for them, brewers are losing to the Dodgers right now. They've got to think 7 of their next ten games are against the Dodgers, the brewers, so the brewers are going in the wrong direction. I took the daughters a night run line plus one O 5, I think. All right, Julio urias off to a good start. The only play I got here in the old keep me entertained for a little bit bet might be a loser before I know it. Got Luis Castillo against Shohei Ohtani. First 5 under was looking twisted. We're going to have three close three. What is it one one after one? Each team in a Homer in the first inning. Did you see the angels home run? Yeah. Rodriguez and the right Fielder ran into each other and the ball ricocheted over the fence. Little yellow line. Yeah. So a good start. So we need to shohei and Luis Castillo now just to wrap it, wrap it up and by the way, I know we mentioned it before, but producer Aaron oster has got a nice little 28 to one ticket on sandy Alcantara to win NL Cy Young. Can he win it? Absolutely, I believe he's the favorite right now. He's tremendous. So a win tonight for the Marlins and another incredible outing for him. We got to, we're gonna do a little something each day this week. So the AP poll came out today, Sean. And over the next two weeks, we're gonna pick a team each night and it doesn't matter where they're ranked. I want it to be the most, we're gonna basically do a countdown. Now I know the edge has been doing a big old countdown top 40 their top 40 teams throughout the past couple of weeks. For me, Sean, I wanna do the most interesting teams entering 2022. And today we're gonna take a look at Texas. Did not, we're not ranked in the AP poll, they were ranked. They are ranked in the coaches poll. Remember they have that rogue number one vote, which I am still convinced that was Nick Saban, who made that. So they've got that so we're going to talk about the Texas longhorns who had some unfortunate news over the weekend a couple of the best news they could have gotten. What, two of their starters were done. Oh, not that, not that. Not that part. I thought it was talking about the guy kicked off the team. Yeah, they lost a bunch. So we will get to Texas a little bit later. We'll talk some college football with Dan rubinstein. That'll be bottom of this hour. And then we'll do continue our summer condition. We got the Jags today. At the Jacksonville. A lot of people hire Trevor. Spent a lot of money this off season got rid of the biggest dope in all of football urban Meyer. Good God, man, don't talk about your so we will talk some Jaguars. What to expect from the folks in doom. Not quite how they do it, but we get it. How do you do it? No, no, no, no. In the bricks. Well, we got to find affiliate down there, ten ten XL. We do. Let me know how to do it. I don't know how to do it. I've been to Jacksonville if they start yelling Duval. Two or three. Wherever you're at, leave. Yeah, that's not like a thought they do that at Jags games. No, no, I've never heard them do it. That's not where I was introduced to that. And when they start doing that. It didn't Tony basile, just do it at the Hall of Fame induction. How about DR?

Urban Meyer out and now Super Bowl champion Doug Peterson in what have you seen what have the players talked about? How different is it right now down in Duval county with Doug Peterson in charge and urban Meyer no longer? Yes, gentlemen, it's great to be with you. It's a one 80. I mean, it truly is urban Meyer was brought in with a lot of fanfare. I thought it was a good hire. He won 85% of his games in college and talked about how he'd studied the NFL for a year and then he arrived and it was pretty obvious early on that that was a Ponzi scheme and he didn't really know how to leak work so how to relate to players and really didn't know what he was getting himself into and it showed the often side really no creativity, a lot of stagnation and the players tuned them out pretty early on. And Doug Peterson has just brought in such a sense of normalcy. I think Doug Peterson is a good coach. Obviously, he's achieved the biggest thing you can achieve in the NFL. He's won a Super Bowl, but it's just the normalcy and the professionalism that he's brought. I do like his scheme, I think it suits Trevor Lawrence well. But you could tell that there was a healing process that they had to undergo and even Doug acknowledged that. I think they've really,

Karen will be driving the number 31 Chevy for Jordan Anderson Racing, Woody Kane had a chance to catch up with sage following the recent announcement. You may know him from the IndyCar ranks, but he's also done just a little bit of everything, it seems erasing I racing. Low control cars, dirt bikes, the N C car series the Rolex 24 You name it, but sage. Now you're going to go racing the Xfinity series. Are you just trying to check off all the items from the bucket list or what? Yeah. You know, I think as a race car driver, it's really good to you know, get in as much stuff as you possibly Can. You learn more and more with everything Get to drive. So this is just something for me to to get a good good triad, and hopefully it's something that leads to something else down the road. I've always said that I really wanted to get an X An Xfinity car. Um, I just really never knew how to Get about that. Like, who? To contact and stuff like that. But, you know, we had a really good run at the end of 500 this year, getting seventh and I think that opened up some doors. And, you know, I'm really excited to, uh To be on board with Jordan Anderson Racing in the number 31 Montage Mountain Chevy Camaro, So I think it's going to be a lot of fun going to one of my favorite tracks that you know the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on the road course this time, so I'm looking forward to it. Two top

WNBA Star Liz Cambage Withdraws From Olympics, Citing Mental Health

"Today about Liz Cambage. Um, you know, She has been very open about her mental health struggles. She wrote a story for the Players Tribune a couple years ago, acknowledging that she had been on suicide watch in 2016. She has some D N. P s for panic attacks. Um, has struggled with substance abuse. So when this comes out today, there is, of course, absolutely empathy and respect for her decision to protect herself. But of course, there's more to the story than that. There's the conversation around her partying in Vegas and violating Protocols. There's the story of an altercation in practice or in that friendly with Nigeria, the closed door matchup. How do you reconcile all the different parts of that story in in terms of her, then announcing she would remove herself from the situation perhaps before they had an opportunity to do just that without, you know, without her doing it. Well, I think that first and foremost, the mental health aspect is key. And a lot of the other behaviors and I have nothing to um You know, I have no facts to base on the other stuff that you mentioned. All I know is that first and foremost The middle health aspect and to be able to address and acknowledge that she has some mental health issues and to remove herself from the team. To take care of herself. First, I think is the most important thing.

"I guess we gotta talk about our oldest chapman. I though the weekend happened the weekend was would it was A role champion cannot be the closer around this team anymore and the first time we talked. About how boone was damned if you do damned if you don't going to him at the end of that six hour angels slop fest. That really ended the that was the end of the season in the past. I said the tone start in philly was the end of my caring about this team. I guess that was proven. Not true. Because i definitely cared when i woke up at three forty in the morning and saw the angels crap but that day chapman is. You're closer if he can't get this four run lead secured. Then you know like that's an insane thing for manager up to be like yeah. I went to my closer to four on lead against a bad team and he retired one batter and gave up a game. Time grand slam. What do you want this time. Chad green ended up going three innings in the nightcap which was amazing but i do not know how chapman toes the rubber in the first game. A and that. It's gotta be it for him that we were we're done we're done. I look i said trade him in the off season and then i I backed off of that. Because we've been having an incredible. But but i mean what are you going to do. I'm not going to stand there and say oh well. They still should've traded him even though he's pitched two scoreless months like i can't be colin coward. Yeah i thought. I was proven wrong. I thought he. Reinvented his splitter. Which reinvented his pitching style. By adding splitter and using a slider a little bit more. I do we know if the sticky stuff is affecting him. I have no idea Do we also know that. This is kind of Characteristic baby for this chapman yes like the stats show. He's a very good closer but the stats don't show that. He crops his pants a lot when the yankees need when the yankees needs something to when they need him to shut the door when they need him too not not present any issues or make it difficult he more times than not he. He's making it

But the crowd was having fun. The crowd is having fun and we decided to leave early. We leave early. Because i've seen those before perform a four. It wasn't going to be a full concert. Were just so long like you. Can't get a wanna get on in those lines but coney island was cool like it was. I'm happy that i got to experience it. There's a lot. There's kind of a lot to do. I grew up. You guys know in the east bay. So i grew up going to the santa cruz. Beach boardwalk all right honey. So i'm gonna keep it one hundred zero. I'm gonna keep it real and crystals cave okay. The santa cruz beach boardwalk just completely shirts on coney island and i think if you've been to both then you would understand okay. I'm not trying to talk down on new york. I'm not trying to talk down brooklyn. I'm not trying to talk down on coney island. I think that i was just raised with the best boardwalk. Probably one of the best in the world so going from that to.
