"Think Jacoby Myers is probably Adam. Yeah, Adam Thielen, who, you know, depending on who you talk to. How much does he have left? You know, a couple guys who I think have big play potential, but haven't performed to that potential and Nicole Hardman from Kansas City and Paris Campbell from Indianapolis. You know, I think Odell Beckham becomes attractive for the same reason DJ Moore was attractive to the bears because there aren't a ton of high end options out there. And with Odell Beckham, you're not sure he can get back there, but you know he's been there, you know? And so, you know, does buffalo throw its hat in the ring? Do the jets throw their hat in the ring if Aaron Rodgers is their quarterback. The rams seem less likely now because the spot they're in, but the chiefs investigated it, you know? So with the chiefs look at it and what he take less to go to a place like that, Dallas. So there are going to be suitors. I think the question is what the price point is. And I sort of think this is like a, it's one of those, even if you don't have a ton of cab spaces, it can't hurt to ask if you're one of these teams where it's like maybe we can get a bargain. Maybe we don't have to spend $20 million a year to go and get them. And I think where he lands is going to sort of boil down to his priorities. Is it money or is it going and competing for a championship? We'll find that out pretty soon. Dolphins are all in going after Jalen Ramsey. Now they just have to make sure they're quarterback stays healthy. What do you make of the move? We know what the rams are doing, but Miami getting Ramsey felt like they were probably a few others. I think Detroit was another possible landing spot for him. But what do you make of what the dolphins did? Funny, you said rant, the dolphins are getting Ramsay, and they kind of are getting Ramsay, if you like consider what the rams were. You know, a couple of years ago. They're taking advantage of the window that they're in with their quarterback on a rookie contract. And because he didn't justify an extension, that's not ideal, but the benefit to it is that he's still going to be on that right where he contracted into a fourth year. And they do believe in him. I think the question is the health thing. And it's not just the concussions. I mean, all this stuff goes back to Alabama. He couldn't stay healthy there either. So, you know, I think this is an extension of what they did last off season with tyreek hill and Toronto Armstead. And Jalen Ramsey's a player because of his flexibility that's just all you have to do is go back and look at what Brandon staley did with him and how much Brandon staley loved him, putting in Vic Fangio's defense in LA and then how Raheem Morris built off of that the last couple of years because you can move Jalen Ramsey around. He becomes such a valuable piece and what Vic Fangio is going to try to build there.

"Stock back. And that continues to be a real mystery. Because face it, we all as sports fans, we've become sort of medical experts in understanding what the timetable is that goes along with a certain knee injury, right? Gabe's got a knee injury. But it's not a sprain because of spraying your back in two to four weeks. It's not Arthur's arthroscopic, you know, four to 6 weeks, 6 to 8, ACL. We all understand, you know, that's a 6 to 8 to 12 month type thing. This feels like a degenerate. Something's and when you hear that report during the Tampa game last week, Emily Kaplan saying, you know, here's the update with Gabe. He hasn't been with the team for most of the year. He's been going back and forth between Philadelphia and Toronto. What does that tell you? You're the, come on, you're the injury expert. That tells you that he's going to see different people specialists. This does not fit in your paint by numbers knee injury. And that's what's really concerning. Because there's a mystery, there's a murkiness to what's going on with him that you just can't say, okay, yeah, he's got to wait to get to the time frame that goes along with an injury, but that's been thrown out the window here with Gabe. I wonder what you gotta be. There's gotta be some specialist. And Toronto, knee specialist in Toronto. Look that up. Oh, why don't you reach out to your Siri? Why don't you reach out to your pal there and serious? Mark addicts, the doctor, your former roommate. Maybe he knows. He's part of that fraternity. Say, hey, Mark. Who's the Toronto specialist? Toronto. Boom. Philly, go. Philly, maybe it's just a big eagles fan. The hanging out in Philly. Watching the birds. It's weird, man. It is. It's concerning. No simple answers. And we're counting on his return, but boy, it is murky at best. Right near Denver sports dot com. How does the Broncos offense stack up with the chiefs and eagles? Okay, we just saw these two teams 38 35 in the Super Bowl. Do you see any part of the Broncos offense? And I'll let you bring that injured guys back. Okay. Assuming full health for them. Any parts of this offense that you can look at and say, yeah, they're somewhat in the neighborhood of these two teams. Well, I think healthy a healthy running back healthy Williams is a guy that would match up well and either of those backfields. And Pacheco is a fine Pacheco whiz. Speaking of Cecil, he'll remind you. Hey, you got that one, right? Hang on the victories. Let the feast let the pasta lynch is the world's slide down. They're down the river. That's right. But yeah, I mean, I think that's, I think that's a place where you would look at it in that. I mean, both the chiefs and the eagles just dominate the line of scrimmage. Gotta give it to the chiefs, man. Against the most vaunted pass rush in football, they shut up. No sacks, right? Shut them out. No sex. Zero. They did a great job. I'm sure they never held one time. There was no holding at all. 'cause otherwise I mean, otherwise obviously have called it. We call it the whole game if there was any holding. But I'm sure that there was zero. So therefore, you know, can you play a cleaner second half of a Super Bowl? The chiefs in the second half, zero penalties, zero turnovers, zero punts, zero sacks allowed, one incompletion, and that was a throwaway. Well, there would have been two had it not been for those dastardly cheating Philadelphia Eagles, grabbing and molesting the chiefs players. I mean, that was such an egregious egregious hold. Of Smith shoes, they were scored 5 touchdowns, had it not been for just undressing. Smith Schuster. Let's put the eagle Sanchez. Let's put the eagles aside for a second because we don't need to worry about the eagles. It's a need to worry about. Running back, you'll put the Broncos with a healthy javonte Williams and latavius Murray as your second guy. I like them. Up against the chiefs easily. Correct. Wide receivers? You gave me a Jerry Judy courtland Sutton Tim Patrick triumphant? Would I put that up against the cheese receivers? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, as the cheese are currently constructed, I mean, they didn't have Nicole Hardman who really arguably is their best. Did the Valdez scanlon play in that game? Yeah, oh yeah, yeah. I remember him. Now, the one big advantage, obviously, is Kelsey. Yes. That's a huge the dude is. He that guy, but. You're rolling shut your mouth. Use your Brody. Hate that guy but I respect him. Right? He's got to respect him. He's a chase. He's great. I don't like him either, but he's a great player. I don't like him. He's fine. You know, in this sports context of. Yeah, sports hate. Yeah, sports. Although you almost had real life feelings there. He was almost your son in law. I know he almost had to change his name to Travis slur. Or Travis Kelce schlereth. You know? Okay. No. Google it, folks. We're not going to make Mark relive it. You can Google that and I did not watch one second. GT. GTS that stuff. You don't need to yeah, we don't need Mark to go down. Mark loves telling stories. This is one story he's not going to want to tell you. It's not going to tell the story about that. Nor is landscaping company, okay? So you can't do it. One more, and Denver sports dot com. Here we go. Here we go, here we go. Here we go. The Broncos in the words, let's see who wrote this. This is fresh stuff. Yeah, I always brag about how it Denver sports dot com. New stuff is always dropping throughout the course of the morning. So I'm constantly refreshing because dropping like it's hot. There's new stuff coming. This is from will Peterson. And he says the good news is the Broncos are looking at an off season that should have less fanfare. And that's a good thing. Are you thinking, you think it's going to be a quiet kill off season? Yeah, I'll go back on a lot of drama. I'll go back to the introductory press conference of Sean Payton. We need more anonymous donors. I need to see what you're doing. With your off season, look at me work. Woohoo. I'm running routes on a peach. You know? Look at me, I'm gangly 6 foot 9. "The only guy that I can think of that that's just fine is like Robbie Anderson. I think Robbie Anderson's more than fine. I like Robbie Anderson. I think he's a number one. He's a lower tier number one. Look, if taekwon Thornton becomes Robbie Anderson, that's a hit at 50 overall. It's taekwon Thornton becomes Robbie Anderson. That's a hit, right? The guy I think of maybe is like Darius Hayward bay. But again, that sort of feels and I don't think he's as good as Robbie Anderson. That's sort of feels like a hit, but there's not a lot of guys you can think of of that speed and that size that are middle of the pack, right? John Ross, bust, Tyree kill doesn't have the size, but the speed elite, right? And I'm not saying he's going to be Tyree kill, but I feel like he's either great or he's out of here in three years. I just don't see and this is a big picture, not just this year again. I think he red shirts this year. But big picture. That's how I view taekwon Thornton. It's going to be an extreme. Which way we will see. I just a guy with that much natural physical ability. How does he end up just being mad? That's kind of my big take on taekwon thorn right now. Yeah, no, I think that's accurate. And throwing out names like Nicole Hardman, KJ hammer. Those guys are a lot smaller than he is, right? Taekwondo and I'll be in wait. I mean, height. So that's I think a big difference is those guys have turned into really just gadget like players, but I think for this year in his rookie season, if you ask me, the Patriots offense has just been so slow over the last couple of years that even if it's just like 25% of the snaps, like find some pockets and games to get taekwon Thornton on the field, even if you're not targeting him, even if you're not hitting the ball to him, like just see how his speed impacts the defense, right? Just see how that threatens defenses, maybe it takes the top off. Maybe it attracts a safety to come over a little bit more and it opens something else. For somebody else, I think that just the threat of his four two 8 alone is worth throwing out their 5 to ten times a game just to see what it does to a defense. And I don't want them to completely red shirt in for that reason because I think that he's got enough of a threat that at least it's worth something, right? At least it's something that they can impact the defense with and I know we say it all the time and other people say it, but when they throw out Myers and born in Aguilar and hunter, I know Aguilar has got some speed, I know born plays faster than he times, but ultimately that's a slow offense. Right? So that's what I'm talking about is I think taekwon thorin on speed alone can be a factor in some capacity. And I think that that's worth playing him and keeping him active on game day. We talk about now snaggle are being fast and he's fast for the NFL, but he's like four four four fours, which is fast. The average rider receivers are like high for low four to mid four, 5. I would even say low to mid four or 5 is like the average receiver, right? Yeah, he's above average speed, but he's not four to 8.

"That's the weird thing about the four dinners, they're not the ravens, but if they get up ten points, that game is over. Yeah. And it's just you're not gonna be able to get the ball enough to be able to come back on them. All right, the Sunday Night game, the Steelers go back to Kansas City. It's postseason football. Why is this the Sunday Night game? 'cause it's maybe more farewells for Ben Roethlisberger. I don't know. This is the least watchable matchup of the weekend. Who knows, maybe it'll be interesting. There are two paths to victory here for the ceiling. One is TJ watt just destroys this game in a way that, frankly, we haven't seen anyone destroy a game. And, you know, you could look back to last year's Super Bowl and say, oh, you know, it's happened to the chiefs, but look, that was sort of a full online collapsing. It's a team that sort of had guys all over the place that get to you. This has to be like TJ watt and maybe cam Hayward just absolutely wrecking this game and just unfathomable ways. And the other way is do you get like a punt block return TD and do you get like Daryl Williams fumble and you scoop it up and score or something like that. It's just the fluke stuff has to pile up and you know it can happen. We've seen it happen to the chiefs. You feel like the chiefs have probably exhausted the weird fluky turnovers that they had in their pocket early in the year. Yeah. I got that visual when you said TJ watt of TJ watt coming out and wrecking the game like it would need to be almost like he comes out and like grabs Patrick Mahomes and just throws him out of the stadium like and he like travels so far that he just goes out of the state of Missouri and it takes too long for them to bring them back. They were like, well, we're not stopping the game like someone's got to go get them and bring them back. It would be something that, yeah, something that would resemble like the Terry Crews, old spice commercials that Tim and Eric directed. It's got to be something like that. It will be an interesting, I remember talking about this a lot after the Super Bowl last year. Chiefs are one of the fewest 13 double tight end teams in the NFL last year. And I think that came back to bite them in the Super Bowl because they had no other option to keep guys in to stay in chip for Patrick Mahomes when things were getting dicey. Like they were kind of using like, I think I remember like Nicole Hardman staying back there to try to like clip people and it just wasn't working. They've had to experiment with other tight ends this year because Travis Kelce being hurt and they've kind of rolled X through some of that stuff they have some better blocking tight ends on the roster..

"Mills as CB two behind JC Jackson? Are you comfortable going into the postseason with him as the other guy on the outside with JC? Yeah, I mean, I think that's as good as you're gonna get, right? Yeah. I wonder if mills long-term spot is at safety. This is a bigger picture question, but if definitely a quarter retires, do they have truly that next free safety on the roster? I think mills might be the closest thing. But yeah, he's been playing well. Generally, we haven't said his name in a few weeks, and that's a good thing for a corner. So yeah, I think he's been playing well. We'll see when they get a tougher test, but yeah, another good game for him. I also wonder if they play buffalo again, is that match up from a defensive back standpoint completely different. Is miles Brian even a factor in that game plan the second time around. Her third time around, I suppose, right? In terms of does Jalen let's say it's Isaiah McKenzie back in the slot or if even if it's cold Beasley, does Jalen mills get that match up the second time? The third time I keep saying second, the third time around. And they move him inside. Maybe jawan Williams is finally active for a game and gets to play more on the boundary or maybe it's John wade gets to play in that game. I feel like if they play one of these teams again and they do want to play some man coverage, they're going to have to really think about miles Bryant and where they're going to put him and if he's even going to be a part of the game plan as a primary man coverage defender because teams are going to consistently go after him. Regardless of who it is, if it's Casey and he's on a Nicole Hardman or if it's Cincinnati and he's got to get boid, I mean, come on, right? I mean, that's not a great matchup for the Patriots at all. So we'll see. I agree with that in the chat. Jalen mills does remind you a little bit of Jason mccordy, doesn't he? A little bit. Yeah. Not like the most elite cover guy, but does the job and does it well and plays multiple spots as smart guy instinctive all that kind of stuff. Well, Jason McCourty in him. I think that's the ideal role for him. I don't think the ideal role is him being the true number two outside corner. I think it's kind of moving him around all over the place. Yeah. Okay. Oh, last thing about the defense and then we got to talk about your special teams because your special teams, that's what I'm calling it. Matthew judon plays 11 snaps in this game. I asked him after the game, he gave me I'm a football player. I want to play. I thought it was a good answer. But I think this is a blessing to this guy in a way that Matthew judon doesn't have to play that much down the stretch. You look at the buffalo game, 38 pass rush opportunities one hurry the entire game. That was it. They were chipping them. They are sliding to them..

"Should be really tough. That could be two and three for them. I think cincy since he's San Francisco at Denver home Baltimore home Casey at Cleveland. And they're only a game back. I don't know. I think they could potentially jump them, but yeah. The other thing, okay, finish the Tennessee thing, and I have no idea. If Henry comes back in week 17 and that's like a four seat, that's kind of a nightmare. Because I think Tennessee might be it's either the second or third best team with Henry if they get the receivers back. That's kind of the team I would be afraid of. That was why I was hoping the past wouldn't get the 5 seat because there was a possibility that you get the 5 seed, you're going to Tennessee in round one. Henry's back, AJ brown's back, and that's a really hard thing to play. It's, you know, they're not going to make mistakes. They've matched up well with the Pats in the past. And rapaport said yesterday, I guess that there's still a sense that Henry returns in December. But we'll see. I'm not ready to just say the chiefs or this team that is going to try to ball control you to death. I'm just not. I'm just not. Well, that's what I'm trying to do. It's fine, but I'm just not of the belief that the chiefs are never going to look like the chiefs again this year at some point. I thought I watched our last game first take yesterday. I thought he'd made a good point. Every week they dropped these big passes, right? The chiefs, there's between two and 7 drops a game where you're like, you know, and sometimes they go off their heads and their interceptions. And he's like, at some point you are who you are. And if you're just dropping passes every week, maybe that's the offense you have. It's not like, oh, if we can only get rid of those drops, it's like maybe that's your team. Maybe you're trying to be this ball control team, but over and over again, you have Pringle over the middle drop in something. You have Nicole Hardman on a wide receiver screen. He's dropping it. Hill has had the yips all year. Maybe that's your team. I don't know. It's just hard for me to write off a group that we've seen, look as impressed as impressive as any offense we've ever seen in the game. So now because a matchup with Denver, where it's another game with mahomes and no touchdowns in a pick. Do you really think you get through a version of this NFL without one major shootout? And as much as this Mac Jones stories incredible, it's great. You might have something here for a really long time, his poise, his footwork, a lot of the stuff that's harder to figure out until he's actually doing it on a Sunday. Is this team equipped with the guys on the outside as great as Bourne has been? The way the offensive line is work, are they equipped to win that kind of shootout? And I still think it's a completely fair question and I think it's a major assumption to be like, oh yeah, that'll be fine with that. I agree with you. Kay says the team I'm afraid of. Been watching them pretty carefully the last few weeks. They definitely they could rush to pass her. I think they have a lot of confidence. They're defenses turned it on here. I think they have a lot of confidence. I think Clyde Edwards hilarious since he came back. It's the best I've ever seen him look, and I'm scared of my home. So I'm always going to be completely terrified of him in a playoff game. Like, I'm never going to feel great about going against him. So that would be the team. Quickly on the documents thing that you were talking about about athlete content. I'm with you. And that was why I didn't want to watch the Brady thing. And then I was told by a bunch of people like, hey, if you're a pats fan, there's just a lot of good video. There's a lot of good behind the scenes stuff. I actually did learn a lot of stuff. One of the things that it's very, very, very positive about Belichick. And one of the things is about the early years of Brady, how on Tuesdays, him and Belichick would watch tape and they would watch the other team's defense that they're about to play. And it would be like, you'd basically be like, you know, Belichick was my professor. He just taught me about the defenses I had to watch, and he was like, you know, those Tuesday sessions with him early in my career were like the most valuable thing that happened to me. In my career, I had this guy who knew everything about everything, just walking me through what a defense was doing and teaching me this mindset of how to think how to attack how to be prepared every week. And I think there's this Brady Belichick reconciliation thing. I don't even think they've had a fallout. But I think over the next few years, it's going to be very favorable on both ends. Because I think now that both guys are removed from it, I think they both appreciate the experience. You had this amazing thing where you're one of the great coaches of all time, probably the greatest. And one of the great football players of all time and they just happened to spend two decades together. And I think as the years pass, I think, I think they'll both lean into that versus lean away from it. Versus like how Scottie Pippen has handled the Jordan thing. Pip.

And here in Kansas City Chiefs 12 play 75 yard drive that took six minutes 58 seconds. Patrick Mahomes, with a five yard touchdown run completed seven passes on that drive in Cleveland's lead is now 15 10 in that playoff win. Back in January here. Patrick Mahomes also scored the first touchdown, the game he scored on a one yard run. Behind Travis Kelsey. To get the Chiefs on the board. I mean, you have to account for him is one of these guys that will take off with the ball. He does it all the time, seventh career rushing touchdown in the regular season for Mahomes. They had been nearly flawless in their first two drives, backs him up five yards. 1st 15 6 13 and counting to go here in the second quarter, Cleveland 15 10 lead over the Chiefs shoving the game to the left of Mayfield, Donovan People's Jones wide out to the left three receivers out to the right. Mayfield, communicating with his line gets back five. Yards behind. Trader takes the snap dropped back to his seventh looking right now looks A little bit over to the left of the initial receiver to get to the shorts and shorts gets out 23 yard line. Take it down by Sneed after a short game. It'll be a 3rd 2nd out in six coming up now from the 23 yard line. 23 goes for nine yards for the Browns without their left tackle wells. We won't see him the rest of the day. Chris Hubbard in there. Did a good job of standing up there standing tall and Baker had plenty of time to get to a second option on the throat may feel out of the gun jumped to his right takes the snap inside handoff, tub double reverse. They give the Schwartz and he's a sprinter out to the numbers right with some open field at the 30 35 finally shut down a pounds at the 40 yard line. Uh, 17 yard run on a double reverse to Anthony Schwartz need finally ran him out of bounds. And they like getting the ball out of the hands of Anthony Schwartz. They do. And he's taking Odell Beckham Junior's place, So he's getting those reps right now. We saw Odell running some reverses. A year ago when he was healthy. Baker got a good block on that reverse to Schwartz. 1st and 10 of the road. 40 rounds in the white jerseys, orange helmets and pants going right to left Play action. Bayfield back to throw sets up a screen. Chubs got it running to the rear side, outrunning the defenders midfield and finally running abounds by Bolton after he gets first down, yardage goes for 10 yards watching Nick Chubb go out of bounds. He gets shoved all the way to the bench, and he ends up sitting down next to Nicole Hardman. They were teammates in Georgia together like they probably had a little quick time just to say, Hey, what's up, like? Just check in with each other. They're both very fast. They have a lot of time to do it and shut the short period of time. So all right at midfield under the Arrowhead logo, which is an arrow, right arrow head with an interlocking Casey in the middle of the first attempt to 50 Mayfield under center jump back takes the snap play action to Chuck sets up deep in the pocket patch. The ball throws out to the right. And it's caught by Landry and he is caught it. Yes, he did bring it in right on the sideline. Just shy the 40 yard line, So it's going to be about a half a yard short of the first down. He got 9.5 yards on that catch. Teach, really missing Frank Clark right now. I mean, I was plenty of time for Baker. To work that route on the outside to Jarvis Landry. Good Max. Protection. Really? I mean, nobody got near Baker Mayfield step into that throat. 15 10 Cleveland front. 3 35 to go in the second quarter has not been stopped. Yet in this game, two possessions to touchdown Landry's circles in the batch. They throw it back to him. He's going to look to throw, but now he's going to tuck it. Now He's looking to run. He's weaving through defenders, and he's taken down with a shoulder tackle by Derek not Think But it was like a horse collar and flags come out as he goes down to the 33 face mask number 91 15 yard penalty From the end of the run automatic first down, we got the face mask along with the shoulder pads, so it goes through eight yards plus tacked on another. 15 makes that a 23 yard games. So you have to know about Jarvis Landry left handed, so they run that play to the left, and he put the ball in his left hand. He wanted to throw it. It was a little bit of penetration and really the coaching pointed at play. If it's not there, running, just take off. That's what he did Good veteran move by Landry, who literally made it, he did it. He did a semicircle around Mayfield came out and they feel through it about six yards behind him to get it to him. Run sets him up first in 10 of the 18 of the Chiefs jumped back at a deep set to staggered. I pull back. A turn. They give it a shot..

"Slander is the only thing that i can call it on with. Mccoll hardman it. Demarcus robinson and i listen. I'll i'll say there is some fairness to what they have shown thus far in their career. But i do think especially with hardiman is young and i don't think that he's really had a a real fair moment to come in and say all right. This job is mine. I know exactly where i'm going to be. I do think he's had to learn multiple positions and a lot of different things to get on the field and its that play making ability that he has is there. He is a big play waiting to happen. And i guess just like you believe so much in legit serious need. I think that's where i am. In hardman. And i think that explosive playmaking ability to go along with the play caller and the person throwing the ball and never ever will coverage be slanted his way he will always be able to to go against weaker corners at least the teams weaker corners and and probably one on one coverage. And i gotta. I gotta see that he can complete. He will completely be a failure. I just think there's just too much around him and robertson to like robinson he just needs to be solid. And and i think i always said about two marcus. Robinson is. he's just super solid and reliable and to me. That's never once about about demarcus. Robinson never up saying and i just i b. I think he could just be if he is solid five. Andy's playbook still can't remember all of his routes if he could remember the eight that he needs to the eight seven or eight that he needs to come. On man like demarcus robinson has not been trashed. Not find marcus. Robinson is a. I said the word find earlier. I'll say it once again. Here actually applies to robinson. I'm just saying high level starting wide receiver. He's not in the but to me. When you're talking about bringing josh gordon from the dead of football did excuse me that did but the football dead people are talking about nicole hairy and other. You're talking about dede westbrook i. Those guys are good enough. You don't feel like you need to go drag those guys now. I'm not gonna sit here and say like some people are really have belief in by sprinkle that he's going to be something. I'm not gonna go that far but those those two to go along with with tyreek hill. Like i think you are. Just you are just fine right there to be the explosive offense. You need to be with those guys. And i do think especially hard man. I'm not going to send in about the markets. Roberts that take a step forward but i do think we call hartman. Takes us a step forward. And i trust me taylor and nate. Taylor's very smart gentleman. That was a beautiful beautifully rid grape. Proce whatever. I had ready yet. But i'm going to. It was beautifully done. And i agree with the. He's he set. The stage is set for him to make this just calm down. True or false. The chiefs had finished wide receiver core in in the afc west. Not the worst because they have. I mean if you're looking at talk to you would take nobody in the nfl. Probably over what the chiefs have but in terms of depth. Either they have the thinnest in the in the afc. West for the raiders. Rolling out after henry. Rugs and so the raiders. Going into the season have brian. Edwards is pretty good player out of south carolina last year. hunter renfro john brown. Willie snead zeh jones I i would take the chiefs over them. I will take john brown over. Any of the secondary receivers chief south and brian edwards. I'm not taking brian edwards Bryant has some upside. he didn't do much as a rookie but he's got some upside. John brown's how the hell does he get to have upside well. How the hell is brian edwards. Get to have upside mccoll hornet. Doesn't i never said that mccall hartman. Doesn't have upside. My issue with nicole hardman is that he is shown through two years in the nfl. Yeah he's faster than everybody on the football field except for tyree kill. But that's all he can do. Tyreek can go up and get a football. Tyreek can make a cornerback. Look like a joker on the field. I haven't seen that from a coal hartman. I haven't seen nicole hardman. Go up and get a football ever in his nfl career. I'm not sure mccall hartman. Athletic enough to play on the outside and go up and get a contested football. The other thing run is it. It's less to me about his upside in more about his role. And i don't think the role that they want to utilize him in this year is one. That's going to accentuate his skills. I think the role that he would have to be in four that would include tyreek hill. Not being on the roster. And i think that was part of why he was drafted mean. Go back to draft night with gall. Cd what happened there I think they felt that. The role that tyreek hill has in their offenses show valuable that they could not go a season without somebody having the ability to fill that and now they're trying to basically put a square peg into a round hole and i don't think he's the guy to go there and we can go to the chargers as well keenan allen mike williams josh palmer jalen guidon. I liked their death a little bit better than the chiefs as well. The the chiefs have the top end. Talent too far exceed every other team in the nfl and they've got the quarterback to make this thing work but their depth is a real issue in one. Cut down calm. There are going to hopefully be better options than what are available right now out there on the market and i hope that the chiefs are interested in our indu. Consider somebody or maybe multiple. Somebody's that can come in and help this roster receiver because they are completed there in terms of their talent. I can't wait to this damps. Season starts depleted. I mean deplete it. Good god man. I mean. I'm just saying do you think it's going to be somebody like i feel like the people are going to be available in. The range of byron pringle are in the range. And nobody's going to be as good as the market rob. Can you imagine if this team has zach paschal. That's the kind of guy they need. I don't know if i'm willing to go. That far zack pass. I.

"Sports radio, What are your impressions of Tampa and the way that the NFL in Tampa came together for this very unorthodox Super Bowl? Well, it was interesting, so you know. It was an entirely different experience of being in Miami the year before, for for many reasons, particularly as a reporter. I mean, you just weren't out and about in the same thing to get down there much later. I got there Friday night. Instead of the Sunday before and had the opportunity to see a couple friends, But really, we were just, um Just sort of isolated in a lot of ways, And it certainly was like that in the press box where I don't know what the full numbers of media there were, but it was far fewer than usual. Obviously, a lot of space around us in our seats. It's a nice plexiglass. Um, it's surrounding us. So you know you certainly felt, uh, covert, covert safe. Um, and then, as you know it, but it's sort of bears mentioned in this. Every interviews on on Zoom, eh? So even if you're at the game, you're still you're not going down to the field. These written press wasn't non right. Soldiers weren't And you know you in theory could have could have don't want the bosses to hear this, But in theory, you could have been back here. Um, but we did also think that you know it's important to plant the flag on the location anytime. And you don't know what you don't know what's gonna happen. And, um, I think we had some sense of the atmosphere in ways that were meaningful to, um You know camp. It was a little rambunctious after that. I mean, it's quite a lot of things to have have the game that be the home game of the home field. I guess we've had it a couple times where it's been in the home. Region, but never be right there in the home stadium. It's certainly a season as you point out, which was unlike any other on differ. A team that was largely intact like the chief's maybe was a little bit more of an advantage. So not having to change quarterbacks and change a lot of their starters change systems, of course, and it looks as though most of the team will remain that way when we talked about the offensive line, but going into 21 One of the major changes other than old line that you anticipate if any Well, I think that they'll have some decisions to make the one of one area though they'll be thinking about this. Um we'll certainly be with receivers and that includes Sammy Walk in sight. You know, he he Changed things for them when he when he could play when he did play. I mean, you knew have Tyree killing Travis. Kelsey. Um, that's pretty Freebasing 12 punch, but he added a third dimension to the receiving game. That really made it, Um Really complicated for the other team in in ways that there are other receivers didn't quite manage to do. But And he's been hurt a lot. And you know, as coaches like to say the best abilities, availability, and I think At this point. This has been a little bit of a pattern. Um, Bill Bill. Have a decision to make whether to bring him back. They've got a couple guys that have enormous potential like Nicole Hardman and firing Pringle. But Uh, it's been hard to tell whether McColl Hartman is Going to kind of give it or take it away. There's been some gaps in his game that make you wonder, Um, you know, he's still young and presumably getting better, but he's been a little too inconsistent. Um so You know that? That will be an area for them. It'll be, uh I don't think they have a lot of mess. Uh, revisions to make other than that. I think they've got Pretty good deaths in the secondary, and maybe they could use some more bolstering in the linebackers. But what they have in the running game, they see the game and obviously it, Patrick. I think they're pretty well set. I think they're window is still another three or four years And maybe longer When you think about what Patrick's ranges. I just want to clarify. I know Eric, the enemy was at the end of his contract. I'm assuming they're planning to bring him back. But has he found a new deal yet? It. I think our understanding is it's you know, in the works, probably imminent. I don't recall. Uh, you know, it's been a little flurry of other things every day, I would have heard it. I don't think it's happened yet. Um, but to your point earlier about continuity it that's also interesting. You know, they went from winning the Super Bowl last year and kept all three coordinators all three of whom Uh, by all rights I could and should be NFL head coaches, of course. See, Spagnola already has been won. And now they're gonna have that again. Um You know, I think if everybody wishes that they you know, in the broader picture wishes that they had a change coming just so that these guys were getting opportunities, particularly Eric the enemy, but That's how it's going to be and you know for them. That's that's not a bad thing. Hey, Gregorian of the Kansas City Star with us here after hours on CBS Sports Radio, Sir, if you wouldn't mind before I let you go. Our industry lost a great reporter of a true personality, one of a kind interes Taylor, and he covered the chief for a long time before he made the jump to Yahoo! I see that there's a photo with you on your twitter that there are a bunch of tributes to him. If you wouldn't mind you sharing a few words about what he meant to you personally. I'm thrilled a bill to talk about Torres on it and It's been a shattering thing. Dress was 37, a superstar and You know, someone who's already just wanted to be in so smart. Such a hard worker. So full of joy and good humor and insight. They felt they knew him. He was work with us or with ya. Who are other mediums. Um, just a special special person and We've been really grieving here these last few days, and it It helps to even talk about him, actually. "On ESPN two, joining me Freddie Coleman and Freddie and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio. And she exiled channel 80 the side bet that I always love the national anthem. The over under with the time isn't going to stretch out too long. It's gonna be too short. What is the action on that with the national anthem for Super Bowl 55? All right, So this used to be a lot more. Shall I say fun? Because the number was posted a lot earlier. And if you were doing your research, you would find out who was singing the anthem. And then you go on YouTube and try to find old renditions of that person singing the anthem. Try to handicap it that way. Then a few years ago. I don't know all the particulars. I'm just lucky enough to be on the right end of the text message thread somehow, some way the rehearsals that take place going into the Super Bowl of the people who are singing those times were timed and then sent out. And as a result, people were able to win a decent amount of money on this. I've told you before the story on air, the largest way Dr ever won in my entire life was Eagles Patriots Super Bowl paint going under two minutes. So here we are. Now the books have caught on and there's some of them won't even hang in number until these rehearsals come out. I was doing a radio it earlier today and in the middle of being asked a question. I got the text I get I've got every year for the last five years, it just said Two minutes 13 seconds, two minutes 14 seconds, two minutes 15 seconds. Go, Go, go. That's what happened earlier today. So that was where it was. The three rehearsals averaged about 2 14 to 15. I believe, and that's where it looks like It's going to sit. So you try to get in on whatever the line is at that point. I'm sure by now This information has gotten out to the bookmakers. But that does not mean you cannot hustle your friends prior to death. Okay. If they're not hearing this segment, I know there's only a few people that are not hearing this segment. Right now. You can go ahead and hustle your friends as you lied in a set the number somewhere way north and play the under other side bets that people should be aware of that they could have a lot of fun outside of the game action. It's better little toe win a lot, right? That's what this is all about. Don't put a lot of money out there. But give yourself a chance to get a nice payday. First guy to score a touchdown. I'm gonna play one from each team, so obviously I'll have a loser. But I like the idea of having one at one player, at least one player from each team for the Bucks. It's gonna be Rob Gronkowski in 18 to 1. Now a lot of people look at that and go, man. This guy's crazy. Grant's not scoring touchdowns. He's a shell of his former self. Okay. But look at Kansas City's defense defending opposing tight ends this year. They've given up the eighth. Most receptions fit, most receiving yards, seventh most touchdowns. They don't defend the tight end position. Well, Gronkowski ranks second on the Buccaneers in Red Zone targets this season. And who knows? If this is gonna be his final game he might retire. After this. He stepped up huge for Brady and that Super Bowl against the Rams when you hold in that big reception that set up the only touchdown of the game. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a big game here, or at least he went for 100 yards. The last time these two got together, so I'm playing Gronk. It 18 the one to score. The first TV ad. Also go broke drunk over 29 a half receiving yards. I think he can get the 30 in this matchup based on what he's going to be facing now for the Kansas City side, and you gotta keep your eye on this. I'd play Sammy Watkins to score the first touchdown at 20 to 1 really blackens his questionable but remember something Tyreek Hill. Eight. Todd Bowles defense alive Only 12. There's no way tape A baby's gonna go man Coverage with Tyree Kill again be a suicide mission. So what they're gonna do is they're gonna pay a little bit more attention to him. They've got to account for Travis Kelsey. That means individuals like walk into his home run speed and had a big Super Bowl last year against the Niners as well as individuals like Nicole Hardman. Could have opportunities to hit the home run for the first touchdown at a price of 20 to 1 and will in the world the dice. So Sammy Watkins 20 to 1 to score the first TV on the chief side of the equation. I got a quick one for you. We'll let you get out and get ready for Sunday. In terms of high scoring game. Many people believe this game could be 35 31 38 35 What's been the action in terms of over under when it comes to the score of this game? 56 is a total right now. Be careful with the weather. Okay? Be careful with the weather. The forecast was calling for some rain on Saturday and possibly Sunday morning, So keep an eye on that The public's going to be all over the over right. They're going to definitely bet the over they do Every year. I throw one thing out there, the most unsung and unheralded group of any that's playing in the Super Bowl of the Kansas City defense. They are way better than anyone gives them credit for, and no one's talking about him. Frank Clark and Chris Jones can get after the passer. They've got a good secondary led by the honey badger. They are going to cause some problems in this game. So if you want to zig while everyone else is sagging, looking to the under might not be the worst play here. You know your national treasure, You know that right? Stop. Come on. You are we didn't even talk about this Sun's pistons game, Freddie, you know what I mean? The quote the great Jimmy Kimmel we treat like Matt Damon. We ran out of time when it comes to that from that, Stan boy. Always appreciate you joking with great work. Enjoy Super Bowl 55 on Sunday. "Speaking of this game, sucker, But Patrick Mahomes, huh? Obviously, there's more to the Kansas City Chiefs that just Patrick Mahomes 80 readers had a huge responsibility and And hand in making the Chiefs who they are. They were 12 and four before Patrick Mahomes. They were a division winner and a perennial playoff contender. Even without Patrick Mahomes, so read certainly has a lot of responsibility to where they are. And the organization has also drafted and developed weapons for Patrick. The homes really well. Travis Kelsey was already one of the best tight ends and football before Mahomes arrived. And Tyree Kill. Is just that fast. And just that good. Even without Patrick the homes, throwing him football's. Now he's even more dynamic and Explosive with Mahomes. But The guys they have surrounded. The home was with Tyreke and Kelsey and Sammy Watkins and Nicole Hardman drafting Clyde Edwards, a lair Damian Williams last year. They have a lot of ways that they can beat you and Mahomes takes advantage of all of them and the defense Having the higher Steve Spagnola load to be the defensive coordinator. Has clearly put the chief's where they needed to be defensively after years of once again, having kind of Mediocre or unimpressive defense's and that really killing them. Remember the AIDS he title game against the Patriots? They hired Steve Spagnola. Oh, and immediately won a Super Bowl with him in our back again, So all of those things are happening without Patrick Mahomes. But Holmes is the star. Holmes is the future. Hall of Famer. I think he is, and Mahomes is on an unbelievable trajectory. Don't need to recount this for you. But I will. Holmes has started in the NFL for three seasons. That's it. He's only been a starting quarterback for three seasons. And in those three seasons He went to the A F C championship game and all of them He hosted the H C championship game in all of them. He wanted a league M v P He won a Super Bowl. He won a Super Bowl M v P He's gone to back to back Super Bowls. And the only year that didn't end out of those three with him in a Super Bowl. He didn't touch the football in overtime. You know? This is crazy to say, But there's a 12 Davis corollary here where if he never play another football game after this, you might have to consider him for Canton. I mean, Terrell Davis has, like five seasons. And three of them unbelievably historic. Same with Gale Sayers. You know, that's the type of short brief career were already on entering upon for Patrick Mahomes, but I'm not I'm not off. The milk to be comparing him to Tom Brady like Tony Rome. Oh, did And I hated that. You know why I hated that. Hate just fast forwarding through. 15 more years of football to do a what if there's so many things that could happen, and it is not out of the realm of possibility that this is Patrick Mahoney's last Super Bowl. It's not It's not Look, Aaron Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks we've ever seen. And Rogers went toe one. Within three years of becoming a starter. And hasn't been back. Has been 10 years off. Aaron Rodgers falling short, 10. There was 11 years of Drew Brees falling short, 11. Don't need to bring up Dan Marino. We all know Dan Marino story but just to once again, reiterate. Marino splashes upon the scene in 1983 as a rookie. He takes over a couple of games into the season and the Dolphins catch fire go to the playoffs. They do not make a Super Bowl in 1984 his first full 16 games. He rewrites the record books. 1984. It was unfathomable to throw for 5000 yards. It's a little bit like throwing for 6500 yards now. Like If somebody threw for 6000 yards now, you'd be like, Wow, That's really impressive, but I could see it. He'd be like hitting 6500 yards like is that even physically possible? That's what happened with 5000 yards in 1984. And 48 touchdowns, which again Totally unfathomable, then this is his second year in the NFL, and he races through 1984 and ends up in the Super Bowl. Now they're the Dolphins lose to a better team. It was historically great Niners team that year that went 15 and one And had Bill Walsh in his prime and Joe Montana in his prime. And that 84 Niner soon could be the best. I think it might be the 18 19, but that 84 team was the only one that went 15 and one Everyone goes well, I mean, this is the second season. He's already this dominant and Look, he lost two historically great team. Never got back. So it is in the realm of possibility that these are the only two Super Bowls. We have received A Holmes. It doesn't feel realistic right now, but it is That's why saying Well, he's gotta win this to potentially catch Brady. I mean, stop. Stop with that to catch Brady means Mahomes has to do this. Five or six or eight or 10 more times. Don't even put that out there. That should not be where the bar is set from the homes to have Ah, great all time career. But if Patrick Mahomes does win this game. I honestly think for the rest of his career You'd have to consider him pretty much untouchable. When you go back to back That is again truly rarefied air. Think of the quarterbacks that have done this. Tom Brady..

"Like I do Everybody else aside. I've always told you I'm not fratton izing with the enemy right now. A lot of time for that. We should mention we do have time for a poll question this morning. It's a fun one. Give us your outside the box. Super Bowl M v P pick. This is in light of Dexter Jackson, who probably many people didn't think would be the M V p of Super Bowl 37 Key Super Bowl championship team. We've already got one caller that waiting with the honey Badger Tyrann. Matthew Jay's Gone With Nicole Hardman Key, saying, Probably somebody from the Bucks. Deke was able to get the ultimate credit for stopping. Patrick the home, So here's the deal, fellas. I know we're all working longer and harder and people aren't retiring at 65. People are working, working working. If 65 was the retirement age, Andy Reid would be set to be done in about three years. But he just signed a six year extension. So he's gonna go all the way to a least You would think health providing 68 60 eight's also an interesting number, because that's how old Bruce Arians is. At this very moment, so key in the league that's looking for the next Sean McVeigh. The next Zach Taylor the next Kevin's to fans Key Arthur Smith, these air all guys in their thirties Matt Laporte, another guy in their thirties. It stands to reason in a league that values youth at every position. We're getting younger and cheaper. All the time that the two Super Bowl coaches are both senior citizens. Well, they both for you know they're they're older. But they're also wiser They think about you go to Bruce and all the way back to Temple when he was in Philadelphia coaching decades decades. I'm like I didn't even realize until a couple years ago that he coached that temple like it's like, Jeez, and then you fast forward. You talk about Andy Reid. You go all the way back to his days at Green Bay for me all the way through Philadelphia and then long tenure, and now what he's able to do it. Kansas City. Yeah, it's It's a hand full of these guys that are in the lead that still coaching. In fact, Tom Moore, who's on the staff of the Buccaneers, I believe may be a little bit older. He's 82. I saw a story on him the other day. He's 82. He won a Super Bowl in 1979. So think about this, he's waited another 40 years. Try to get a Super Bowl. He was insistent on the 79 Steelers. He's 82 co coaches, as you know, Jane them dudes, man, That's all they wanna do ice and help ourselves all the time. You know, he was older coach of the stuff and he wants to be in extra starts to tell Bill just cause you don't want to be home don't mean we don't have something else to do, but that's their life. That's what they want to do, man They want to coach and they want to give something that they have, which is a quality of teaching young men. How to coach and I mean, how better yet how to coach and how to play. It's not a job key. It's a lifestyle that these guys would do. You know, it's like, you know, as a player, people would say, Well, you know, you like to play around like I would play basketball. Even if I wasn't gonna pay. I still play basketball down the random Y M. C. A. If that's how I am like a god like Bill Parcells or Coach K or Andy Reid or Bruce areas. This is what they do all the time all the time, and by the way, I will say this. There's something special about a coach has been around the block. When you get a chance to build that continuity. I think that is an operative word that a lot of these, you know, owners or G M's. They want with either young coaches or older coaches. As always, you have that continuity with your quarterback, and you have that trust between the players and the quarterback. That continuity is there in that trust is there I would love to have a coach around his longest possible as long as they have the trust of a star player. That's what means the most and what's so smart about Some some front office people. Not all. But some is when they hire young head coaches. They bring These veteran old Wizards would all that great temple hair on the side or full grade, depending on who they are. Who helped them alone. I think I think about shaman vacation. I'm eggs. Eight unless knee did a marvelous job of bringing way. Phillips in for a couple years as an ex head coach to teach a first time here, coach on different things how to manage the clock. How to do certain things. How to how to address the meeting room, just little bit of different things that help along the way. And so I think when you go back and you look at Some of the coordinators that are in tapper Byron Leftwich, along with with Todd Bowles, who was a former head coach, but you got a old grizzly veteran. Like Bruce areas that could teach them and now he can clip them and allow them to go fly on their own. Same thing. When Andy Reid when Andy Reid has a young Eric, the enemy who's Relatively young in the coaching circuit, 50 right, But he's young and he's old, little older in age and I'm talking about coaching responsibility wise. He's only been in office of coordinated for three years, so that's still relatively young. But you can learn how to gain plan how to put the chart together from an Andy Reid and all of a sudden you dressed the meeting room how to address the players in the offense, install how to put a game plan together how to do a 15 play script, Whatever that may be. And then when you finally put those wings and you let him fly off on his own Hey, now it's like that's my God. Along the way. There are certain guys like Matt Maggie that didn't take some of that information to Chicago. I So I just want to give Andy Reid so much credit for coaching 22 years for his much is the league's offense has changed. He's always adapted with the Times. I mean, now, obviously, him and Eric B have created the most dynamic offense. I think the league has potentially ever seen, but to do that in to stay in those moments and continue to be valuable, multiple Now, a lot of coaches have that ability. King like this is the way I do it and this is the way we're gonna do it. That's it, like coaches want to change along with the time I would say two things there..

"So first let's talk a F C championship. It was the later game on Sunday night. Really hung in the balance. In the third quarter, and there was a stretch several drives in a row where the balance completely tipped in favor of the chiefs. Now that the Had done a pretty good job to climb out of a nine. Nothing hole. Buffalo had the early field goal and then Nicole Hardman Fumbles, a point. About a yard from the goal line, and I remembered immediately. Over the summer time when the Chiefs were handing out the Super Bowl rings, and they were doing a ceremony on the turf at Arrowhead Stadium in there were podiums and all that kind of stuff, and he dropped his Super Bowl ring. He got going on camera that we talked about it extensively here. We even had the audio of him saying Wait, did you catch? That s so It was the first thing that came to my mind when he dropped the ball on the punt anyway, Doesn't Knox Quick Tedi and wows ear's bills fans had to be had to feel their heart rate surging but also recognize this is huge. This is the perfect way to start the eighth C championship in Kansas City. And yet I know bills fans a lot of them from my time living in western New York. It's Syracuse and Rochester and covering the bills. I know that they a lot of times expect the other shoe to drop, which it did. Kansas City is just fine being in the hole. The Chiefs have no problems being behind by two scores. Even three scores. Remember a year ago, 24 nothing. They're down in the second quarter against the Texans in the divisional round, and before halftime, they had erased that deficit in taking the lead. And it was the second quarter where they regain their footing. 21 unanswered points. I love that 80. Reed went right back to me Co Hardman. So not only did he catch a touchdown on the next drive, but he gets Ah 50 yard hand off and just snakes through both levels of the Bills defense. But in the third quarter is where I felt like the bill's kind of lost their opportunities. They could not slow down the Chiefs. Already up nine kids, a city Starts the second half with yet another one of those huge place, the ones that drive a heart drive a hard they drive a stake right through your heart..

"Alright I am on while the A F C championship game is being played, we know what transpired. Neon FC the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are going to the Super Bowl. Hosting the Super Bowl. First time that's ever happened in the 55 years of the Super Bowl. The hometown team is the Buccaneers there, waiting the arrival of either the cancer he keeps of the Buffalo Bills. We've got two minutes and change to play here in the first half. Buffalo jumped out to an early nine. Nothing lead. Field goal by but by Oh, screwed me. Yeah, uh, need to get the Buffalo kicker correct because I incorrectly identified him earlier as Harrison. Like her. Who is of course he can't keep kicker Tyler Bath made a 51 yard field goal early, But after Buffalo got the ball back after a Nicole Hardman punt fumbled inside the 10 yard line, quickly scored the touchdown there after Tyler Bass missed the P A. T. So Buffalo had a nine nothing lead. It has been all Kansas City and their offense since three consecutive possessions three times down the fields, re touchdowns recorded and a 21 to 9 lead Josh Allen, to his credit, has got the ball back and driven the book bills here inside Kids City territory. We reached the two minute warning. But the bow certainly are within scoring distance so touchdown would cut into the lead significantly, even a field goal to change the moment in this game is necessary for the bills. So they do have it in deep in Kansas City territory, taking it down to the 19 yard lights. Um, so they are in the red zone. As the two minute warning hits 1st and 10 per buffalo inside the can City red Zone, So I'm keeping an eye on the A F C championship game for you, but I'll continue to take your calls. I'm basically anything you want. We punch up calm. Would Hanniger talk a little MBA as he got an MBA call here that works for me or If you watch the NFC Championship game for you, Packer fans out there. I want to know if your your level of annoyance let's put it that way. I thought a very questionable decision by metal Florida Packer head coach down by eight points 4th and 8/4 and goal from the eight yard line, which just over two minutes to play. He decided to kick a field goal to cut the Tampa Bay lead from eight down to five. Um this is going to sound like major 2020 hindsight. But I if I need to, I raise my hand and put put my other hand on the football encyclopedia and tell you that At the time I was saying, What is he doing going for the field guards on the area. We got the tape. We could go back and play it for you because I got on before the NFC championship game ended. I said this is surprisingly greatly that they're going for a field goal rather than going for a touchdown. As we now know, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were able to run out the clock. They got a first down. On a surprising I'm not going to say questionable but a surprising pass interference called The Reason it was surprising was over the course of the game. The referees had allowed the players to play on the outside. They were not calling hand fouls. They were letting them be physical while the ball was en route. But they had to call this pass interference penalty because it was a blatant pull of the jersey which was caught on camera and the referee didn't know it at that time. But that tells me he thought well enough to say I can't swallow the flag on this one. I've got to throw it. Um I don't know that it should have come to that. Kansas City. I was going to Green Bay. I thought made a mistake a tactical error by going for a field goal rather than going for a touchdown. Um, even if you don't get it, you don't convert on fourth down Well, now, Tampa's gotta work from the eight yard line and maybe just maybe you'll get lucky and there's a turnover and you've got them pinned into their own end. I thought Matt floor made a tactical coaching Eric today love dear from some Packer fans out there If you want to chime on in if you haven't had your Seventh or eighth or ninth consolatory beer there after if you are still capable of giving me an opinion on whether your coach screwed up today, get on my telephone lines 855 to 1 to 4 to 27 wrench from Philly's up on CBS Sports Radio. I'll events What's up, Jody? Mac? How are you, buddy? It was listening to your segment with your MBA analyst. And I'm just not a believer in the Nets. I just think you've got to liabilities on defense. And we know Cady is great. Defensively. Order used to be anyway, understanding be coming off the Achilles. It's not the same anymore, but I just think given up Jerry Allen, who's one of the best defenders in the league. Given up Caris Levert, who is the perfect fit, complementary player to what they did, then Woody out for the season, which is a new elite score, 20 plus points per game and Meaning that bench in the psychopath and headcase that his country I just don't think it's gonna work. And I still put them at fourth. And in the East. I still think the Philly I got the Celtics in Milwaukee, and I'm gonna put the heat. I know the unfortunate right now they're being ravaged by the Kovar tracing, so they haven't had a capture team out right now, but I think when they're fully healthy, I think they're probably right there with the Nets, too. So the Nets don't get wronger than be fun to watch. They're going to score a lot of points, but we know in to get to a win a championship game and get to the finals. You have to be a great defensive team, and we've seen every team that's gotten. There is a great defensive team and this team is not and I think it's going to come back to bite them. Why I'll play. I'll play a little deviled advocate for you, Um, because you just gave me the couple of teams that you would still rate over the net at this time. Um, I think personal experience goes a long way. In deciding how far you can go in making a run. How many guys on the Sixers are there that have actually been to a championship round conference championship round and won it and got into an NBA finals? Well, you're right about that nun outside of done, Okay, Hold on. Alright. So let me move on. How many on the Celtics have Uh, I don't think what any of them actually, I don't think any of them. I don't know, Just six is actually have one in Danny Green. But I don't think that's any on that. I don't think there's any on the Celtics. How many on the box? None. So three of the team figure rating ahead of the Nets. You're putting ahead of both Kevin Durant, who's done it multiple times and Kyrie Urban who's done it many a time and, yes, Aziz Shep tells me in my year wreck Thompson Late acquisition for right. Celtics has actually done it a couple times on LeBron's coattails. Angrily. Kyrie was less on the coattails. But he too benefited from playing from LeBron. Um Miami did just like here, so I'll give them credit for that..

He's opinionated. It was boring his old get out, and they fully matriculated the ball down the field. And what's the clock? Oh, Dick! Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. No, that's not exciting. He's humble. I'm not trying to injure myself patting myself on the back here, and his job is simple. I talk about sports. This is the Jodi Max Show. Here's Jodie Mack. Sunday. Alright, we know it take championship weekend, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers go into Lambeau Field and beat the Green Bay Packers to punch their ticket to Super Bowl 55. And they don't have to go too far Seeing is the game's gonna be played in Tampa, the first ever home team in the, uh, Super Bowl era. Damn, We do have a big play in the A F C championship game to try and see who the Tampa Bay Bucks will be taking on Buffalo Bill's got the opening kickoff drove it down the field drive stalled, had to settle for a field goal bit of a lengthy field goals, a matter of fact. Ah, but it just got over the crossbar and just inside the upright Buffalo grabbed the early three. Nothing lead can't said he got a couple first downs, but their first drive stalled. They punt. They planted it back to buffalo. Um Buffalo was stopped. But on the ensuing punt, whoever was back for the Chiefs must the punt inside the 10 yard line. And coughed it up. Who, uh, Nicole Hardman much the punt goes to the sideline, throws his slicker over his head and is in complete denial for what he just did. Ball squirts free inside the five yard line and his fallen on by a Buffalo bill player. So Buffalo get it first and goal from the three with a chance to grab a quick early lead against cancer to keep Now you remember last year in there run to the super ball. Kansas City showed the ability to come back against absolutely anybody. Well, we're gonna have to do it here against Buffalo because on the first downplay quick screen pass out of the backfield to Knox. He takes it to three yards. For the touchdown. So the Bills up nine Nothing with the P A. T to come. We've got another wrecks sighted one early scoring in both championship games. Today. We'll keep an eye on the bills and he keeps for you. But I do want to spend it. Governments talking from N. B. I gotta do a little counter programming here. Some teams off to a pretty good start Some questions about the league in general, I'm going to cover that all with our next guest. He covers the league for CBS sports dot com. NBA writer Convoyed Hanniger joins me here on CBS Portrayed E. O. Khan as the new year Treat yourself are Well, it's been good man. You know, the MBA is in full swing and teams. They're dropping like flies with the covert protocols. But I just want to thank you for taking some time out of this football Sunday to talk about the MBA. Appreciate that. Not a problem. I'll always talk NBA. Yeah, kind of distracted, but we'll make the most of it. I thank you for giving up a couple of minutes of watching the hop on me. I didn't catch your latest article on CBS Sports Radio. Everybody's talking about James Harden and the big deal between the Rockets and the Nets, because it just happened. And certainly James Harden is a superstar player, one of the best 356 wherever you want to put him in his ranking of NBA stars, But there were a whole bunch of other guys that moved to new team stick here, either via trade or free agency and are making early, significant contributions. Great article that you wrote, Do me a favor and highlight from my list. There's a couple of guys that Really open your eyes in new places so far. Yeah, I appreciate that. First. One, you know is Jeremy Grant in Detroit, and he's not a household name. He's not someone that that most casual NBA fans have probably heard of. But you need to pay attention. This guy. Is everything 25 points a game in Detroit. Everybody basically laughed at them this off season for giving him a $60 million contract. These absolutely lived up to it. Detroit's not winning a lot of games look for rebuilding team having a guy like that in place, the guy who is proving to be a number one score that's gonna prove dividends and be really helpful for them down the road. Another guy who? Hold on hold on. Hold on before you go to the next guy. Um, I watched the Pistons play last night. As a matter of fact, and I just read about. I didn't even realize that Grant was going off the way that he was they mentioned on the broadcast. That I think he scored 20 or more points in 13 consecutive games. I apologize for not knowing the exact number but setting the Detroit piston record. No player ever scored more than 20 points in consecutive games more than him. They've had guys in Detroit to come play a little bit like Isiah Thomas said. Joe Dumars and the like, and they had never done what granted done, which is a huge statement into itself. He kind of got held to 11 points last night, so that 20 point per game thing went by the boards because he was held in check by Ben Simmons, who has gotten off to a slow start, but had a dynamite game last night, I believe is one of the best dependent might be the best defender in the entire NBA. Any kind of showed off his chops last night by check and grant as hot as he had been. Where were you on Ben Simmons? Because I do. Chosen photo Pia and he is one of those lightning rod guys. People love him and defend him to the max or absolutely hate him and want to see him Run out of town. What's your read on Ben Simmons right now. I love Vincent is in the thing with Ben Simmons is that he just needs to be what he is. You know, so many people want to turn him into something that he's not say. Why don't you shoot threes? Why don't you take more jumpers? That's not his game and The way that Daryl Morey has constructed that Philadelphia team now with more shooting around him with Seth Curry, and with Danny Green and Jo Ellan be playing an M V P level. He doesn't need to be that guy offensively, and when he doesn't have that pressure on him, you've seen his offensive actually gotten better. He seems a lot more comfortable..

Super Bowl Player Predictions
"All right Kramer kick things off. What is your first? I Chiefs Related Super Bowl profit. Well we started by talking about We started super bowl week by talking. About how one of the angles is this chiefs rushing attack I the niners rushing defense. which is the weakness of this team? They are San Francisco's defense thirteenth and adjusted line yards on the D. Line in eleventh and DVR against the run. This team has not gone under this total of eight and a half eighteen rushing yards. They've only got under that once in the last. Ten Games I it seems almost too obvious that they'll they'll be attacking hacking this angle so it gives me a little pause but like I said they've gone over this total nine out of ten. It's not a bad matchup. People will point out all with San Francisco's got a great defense. They got a good defense. They don't have a great defense against the run so there will be opportunity. Andy Andy. Reid is one of the greatest coaches in the again. One of the greatest offensive minds not to win a superbowl for sure not to win the Super Bowl but he he he gets running backs ax to produce no matter what they look like. So eight and a half yard seem silly. They've gone well north of two hundred in both games. This does seem really low. Oh I couldn't be jumped right off the screen emmy as a former tight end as a A former are you referencing as a former China and I also worked with a hall of Fame First Ballot Rob Gronkowski which Danny worked on the show as well we got a witness not know how to Pronounce Chore Four In Person. George sure calling worse. Instead of Chore Sports He Kept Calling at George Sports all right rob just one more time. He's like coming up George now the wartime I think it's the sports and then finally the Co host is like you don't know what a chore is like Washing Dishes Sweeping floors and he goes. I never did any jurors ores growing up. I was too busy scoring touchdowns to smile. This big GROG again channel. He thinks he's GRONK. He thinks he's King of the BRAS. There's only one continue the bras. And it is Travis Kelsey. I'm taking Kelsey to have more receiving yards than than kindle over. You're still you're still avenging. Take a loss in the albro category. I was bullshit that he didn't get in. And I think kindles little overrated and I liked the minus one and a half yards Kelsey Chelsea against Kendall that's risky bro. Kelsey is an a seasoned bro now older Keel. Those two young. He's only as a young and up and coming Bro. I I think he's again. This is just I had the early take. I kill sucks at home instead of adjusting to the optics or the reality. I'm GonNa just lean in. I'm going all in on trump. So you know. Sometimes you're presented with evidence and you just have to ignore it. I'm locked in. I'm okay I was GONNA see. Danny I know you gave me your props one. You liked Nicole Hardman. I just love McCall Hardman in this game we he. He caught a pass in the chargers. Game to really start the ball. This was the week. Seventeen chargers game caught a pass to get the ball. Rolling with our offense later had a sweep. Like they're we're GONNA use them. They've been waiting to use him for something if he's maybe it's a sammy. Watkins Pass. I would say if you're gonNA scheme something like that up the other end of it is going GonNa be somebody like Nicole Hardman McColl Hartman. Scores a touchdown in this game was three hundred over at my book. Make some money this guy. They've been sitting on what he can do all season. They've been waiting for him to get better at whatever the hell it is route running. You know timing. Whatever it is that he needed to do? He's doing it. He's more trust in the offense. I think more so than demarcus Robinson I think he scores a D.. In this game let me ask you Sean. Do you take over twenty three and a half yards over one and a half catch or over fifteen and a a half yards for longest catch. Well I guess I'll jump to my second one because it's literally one of those. How when I wrote it down McColl Hardman's that's total over? mybookie was twenty three and a half up to twenty six or twenty. Six ounce. Sounds like it's down to twenty three and a half. Do whatever it is. I like it over. This kid is a burner. Oh I think he can get it in one catch again speed kills and I think they're gonna be focusing on Hill. He's along I don't think is going to have a huge game now. Maybe breaks it off. Maybe he does but I think Sal is going in there with that mindset of. We're not letting tyreek Hill beat us in this game so I I'm throwing a little a little tiny tyreek hill and beat and didn't mention the field. That's always trying to move past that I feel like don't you. You want to protect yourself against that one catch for twenty one yards and just take longest reception over fifteen and a half. Oh see well that was total yards. But you're right I yeah what do you want to do. So you're saying I feel you'd be gets a catch. It's going to be like a twenty yarder. Always does he get the second catch to get over catch props over the total total yardage lab take longest or first reception is twelve and a half yards now. Hopefully they don't go to a screen or something to him. It's Y- yeah. Is it a reception as it. Total yards what we talking about my twenty three and a half was total receiving received but Kramer is making a case here and a good case. That maybe you're better off off just playing the over. I catch or global catch. He's only expected to have one and a half. So maybe two and they're saying twenty-three which means they're expecting directing two catches of twelve yard. That's an interesting way to all right so you talked me into all right. GimMe Gimme. I'll switch it up. I'll give I'll go over. I catch twelve and a half yards. Now no actually. I'll stick with my total because I want to. If he doesn't get it on the I catch then I have some live bets. Already have have too much stuff going to see what we're having here is. We're having the synapses firing in my going on right. Now we're in the car with with Johnny and Johnny's Janis driving and we just had a discussion that he was going to have with his buddies later. Now he doesn't have to have that conversation tech. We've sorted it out. He's not gonNA play. I cash over twelve and a half hour. We're going to move forward. What's your second point of the discussion? Sammy Watkins over three and a half catches this is I ah I I know I'm chasing a little bit. But I do like the angle that they are gonNA shut tyreek Hill down. I like the angle that they're going to try to shut Travis Kelsey down and and I'm probably going to attack props around everyone else A Hill and Kelsey are going to be the chalk your plays for the yardage rich props be more people will probably play those overs. So I'm GONNA attack is like Sammy. Watkins and I think he is the guy that is going to benefit the most. Because he's the guy that seems to be running more their possession stuff and as they stretch the field vertically Sean they call that taking the top off the deep and that leaves a lot of room in the middle for a guy like Samya walk in so I really like him to get three and a half catches. I mean you you got to figure how many throws is Patrick Mahomes GonNa have. I can't imagine he's having less than forty throws which means I can't imagine having less than like thirty two thirty two catches and then if you take the attempts so over or even the pass yards over with homes what is actually looked at it. Plays out in both scenarios. Where either they're throwing the ball a lot and winning or if they do get down there behind hind they're playing catch up? It makes sense for either a Kansas City win or unfortunately San Francisco win the over and and then passing the ball. It does kind of make sense. We haven't talked a ton about the running backs Darwin Thompson. What is he involved in this game I think so I mean the over are underway? What one and a half Kerry Russia rushing attempts? I mean there's lesean McCoy is persona non grata. Now he's he had some fumble issues he. He's he's actually quick and I have liked watching him break off a few
