"On your hands. If you're watching on an apple or are you going to behind my laptop? Another 15 minutes on the galaxy. I would. I would, but Anderson. What the heck from the Adams family? What is that thing? That's what reminded me of. Dallas two RSL one Rick asks, what are FC Dallas? Like comma, really? Are they a playoff team? Are they just stuck in the middle? What's up? Doyle, what's up? They're trying to figure that out. They're trying to figure out if they have more than one way to play last year. It was a very controlled positional play for three three with Jesus Ferreira as a false 9. Everything was about making sure they kept their shape, making sure that they didn't expose themselves too much. They ended with them having the second best defense in the league, the best in the Western Conference. They made the playoffs. They lost points over the course of the year because they weren't able to turn those one nils into two now. And right now, what Nico estevez is doing is saying, okay, let's get more guys who are good in the box out onto the field and try to turn one nils into two nils. He's doing that by playing pretty traditional four four two with legit on one side and Paul areola on the other because the last go hasn't been out there as much. He's got a knock right now. He does. Jesus Ferreira is playing up top with Jesus Jimenez and Jimenez is ability to occupy center backs is leading to goals exactly like the one Ferrer scored open to open proceedings this weekend. They generated three more shots on the night. So they're inability to control midfield control the ball in a four four two means that they are not getting enough chances to the guys who are supposed to fix the problem, which was goal scoring last year.

"But that's what he just sort of weekly hit it down the middle. So when Tana probably wow, don't they always say if you hit it down the middle? Disagree with you. I'm just going to throw it off. That was his bread and butter. Yeah. FC Dallas two supporting Kansas City one, Corey englemere hit us up and said, we know a player making a leap in a second year falls in the goss theorem. Is there a term for a player who comes in mid season wins the adoration of pundits that just can't score in a second year, maybe the Doyle foil asking for a friend named Willie. The total foil is good. Yeah. So that friend is that friend who's asking, not really, but his straw man, but a real man is Willie Gaga, and Peter Vermeer said after this game, and it was a good win for FC Dallas, even better moment for Martin Paz with the double penalty saved. One on agata one on Tommy. Peter vermes was asked about a goddess lack of goal and for me was like, basically, and this is my translation. It's not his words. I don't know what to tell you. We're creating chances. He's got to finish the chances. They're in position. They're creating a ton of chances. They may not all be super high percentage chances. But yeah, it's so far, the players are not finishing those chances and the first goal they scored on the season was a deflection from Daniel Chao. TV. Sorry, back to penalties here. Eric Tommy misses twice. I got him. Paul saved it. It got me. And they didn't took the first one. Yeah, yeah. Which is even worse because the first one was actually a reasonable attempt by a guy just a good save by pause and he was maybe like two inches off the line. They caught it on your review. Tommy PK was terrible. Real quick on pause, follow myself. Robert bola dare in there. He had those two PK saves one only one that that was official because of the retake. And then he got called for a third PK in a red card that was overturned by VAR. So this was all kind of, I believe all of that happened in the second half, and he was about that same ten minutes. Yeah, he was asked about it after the game and he was just like, yeah, welcome to MLS. The most amazing one. He gets it. He gets the second yellow. He walks off the field, and Nico estevez is standing there and he's like, don't go anywhere. Because he might be coming back in and security can't figure out if they should escort him off or not. Fourth officials there and everyone's just kind of patiently waiting. They were like pretty good about not getting in the ref's face. And then it turns out that it was an offside call before the penalty that would have happened. It was a very clear offside. We didn't even include it instant replay, which was quite busy this week, as you can imagine. And so did on velasco. Who's happy about having a fast start? Dallas, here we go. We'll talk more about Jesus. We'll talk about more about them in a later show here. When we're talking supporters shield possibilities because Dave's, they believes. And I like that.

"To Frisco with L's for the galaxy. That is crazy. And it happened again, Jesus Ferreira two goals, Alan velasco, had a goal. Paul areola to assist pax and polymer cool, nice little slip ball through to Ferreira for going. That's how you draw it up. If your Nico estevez after a match day one where you really didn't show a ton of ability to create clear goal scoring chances, the flip side is just the galaxy are helping you create clear goal scoring chances by, I don't know, letting balls over the top fall. So that Paul Ariel can square it across the 6. Also that, you know, my fingers completely lost trying to mark the center forward in the box and just ball watching. I think that's more on casares that play. But there's a huge success is 30 yards up the field. So that's why I'm A-okay, then what about the third? What about the third goal then, where it's like, you know the run that Ferrero is going to make. You know the angle that packs the powerful House. Why is literally everyone sleeping? Yeah, there's a bad defensive team. So that's the answer to all of that. They didn't get better. And pooch didn't get a ton of touches in this game, which hurts them. Because if they're not going to score goals, they're not going to be able to win games. But China FC Dallas, baby. And when get it done. Surreal hive. All right, Atlanta one Toronto FC one. Doyle, I wrote in here that Toronto C are in trouble. It's the Federico bernadette show to me. You've got, well, first of all, do you demand it goes off with hamstring tightness? So on comes Io, then Io goes off with hamstring tightness. Lorenzo and senior is not available, might be next weekend, maybe, but they played a very, very defensive sort of you take the ball and we'll just defend posture. Mike Newell, I just saw this tweet out there, says the burning question for the Toronto till I die podcasts are taking your content, trying to tell I die. Would you be okay with Toronto, see grinding out wins and draws like they did on Saturday if it meant they had to play a more pragmatic style. I mean, if I was a fan, I think I would be okay with it. I don't think bob Bradley will be okay with it. He's clearly okay with it for now, but in the long term he wants his team to play like LAFC did in 2019. They just don't have the horses for it. Their ability to win the ball back and in central midfield is not great. They don't cover a ton of ground in terms of that frontline defense at bernardeschi does, but he's incredible, but the other two guys, even when they're fit, don't do a ton of lifting defensively. So they get pulled around really easily, which means they're kind of constantly retreating every time they don't have the ball, which is tough. They do have two good center backs, guys who can do work in the box.

"He looked like Sergio cordova, which to me doesn't sound good, but to Doyle sounds great. So I of the beholder. Amanda Garcia looked like a goal scoring striker for Minnesota United. No one knows so who apparently sits a good luck message to his teammates ahead of this, but as chosen not to come to preseason and now the start of the regular season, we will see if he ever shows back up from Minnesota. That's a pretty big TV at this point, but vinegar Garcia gets the goal in Minnesota and I didn't go to Dallas and when that is both thrilling for Minnesota United, but also has to be hugely hugely disappointing Doyle for FC Dallas. Yeah, FC Dallas looked like the bad version of FC Dallas that we saw too often last year where everything is static. And they don't get numbers into the box. They play in a really precise way. And when they can move the pieces on the chessboard and the way they want, they're really, really tough to beat. But there are times when they open up gaps, and they're just not instinctive about exploiting them. That's number one. Number two is the only guy who's ever sort of attacking that space in behind the back line. Is Paul areola. The last guy doesn't do it. His or Ferreira doesn't do it. It can make them, it can make it very comfortable to play against them. And I don't think they ever made a Minnesota side that's influx that's working in a new center back that just cut the guy who was supposed to be their starting right back. Like the day of the game, like they never made this team uncomfortable. And that's not totally out of the realm of what should be expected of FC Dallas. And I do wonder if Nico estevez is going to figure out going to have to figure out a way to spice it up. Is Jesus him and as a guy that can change any of that? I don't think so.

"The second half of the year and we're not sure if it was the arrival of the Italians and the change of the game or if he just physically fell apart because he played pro soccer for 18 straight months. So I think this is a really good gamble for Dallas because I still want that DP spot to be either high level center back or more likely a high level D mid. And I think this gets them the goals they need without wasting that spot. I just want to make two real quick points on this. First of all, sylvania, I think comes in as the backup for K and to a lesser extent and obviously Toronto needed that. I still think sylvania's ceiling is if he learns to be a 6. And I think that with bob Bradley, who has a very good history of developing young players and playing under Michael Bradley, who's been a 6 for a long time and has a similar approach to the game because sylvania can spray to he could hit a lot of different passes. So I think that that's very good landing spot for him to potentially hit his upside. And as for Jimenez, I was not a big fan, but it was interesting to see Nico estevez quote after the deal was done. He was talking about saying, yeah, it's not necessarily just a backup for Jesus Ferreira. It's someone who could play with Jesus Ferreira. And I've said on the show a million times. I think Ferrera's ultimate landing spot as a player is in the juicy role. Is in like a sort of a ten sort of a second forward, a guy who creates, but doesn't get on the ball and orchestrate things necessarily. Not battling with center backs. This gives them the flexibility to test that out, especially if the midfield is as lacking in final third dynamism as it was last year. And can I just say the one thing from Dallas fans I've seen the feedback is like, well, you lost depth in central midfield, but you didn't, because sort of to what Doyle said in, the way these guys can play, he's as Ferreira as that's.
