They went into her house. Force their way in, and they were. They did that while she was in bed asleep like I said, and that's when her boyfriend fired, a shot fired and hit a police officer because he had no idea who's in the house I thought somebody was breaking in and the officers started shooting in the apartment, ended up shooting and killing her. Lows an unmarked vehicle I come on the head while police officers have to measure twice in order to cut once in situations like that they run up in somebody's house, playing close offices if I'm practicing my second amendment rights, and I have a legal firearm on me, and.

"You've done all these things you've been in the in the public for a long time do you. Do you get anxiety do you get. Have you ever do noting Zaidi is. Have you ever felt a panic attack. Act or you've never experienced that in my twenties severe hardcore Vertigo horrendous horrendous anxiety what happens with vertigo sitting there talking to your and all of a sudden I'm dislike. I start spinning in the chair and I can't everything starts spinning. I had brian scandals. Like there's something wrong with me horrendous. As in my early twenties I I thought I was dying. The worst panic attacks go very guy is a part of anxiety and it feels like it. Because it's very dangerous if you're driving because you can't control it's like I'm sitting here looking. And then all of a sudden everything starts and you can't focus full of What do you do you just wait to pass in? It's horrendous does the. How many times does it come on weaker as to come and guy for years? I'm sometimes I wouldn't have a couple of months and not have a hardcore for wake. I realized it's just pockets of trauma trauma and things that have happened through life that I've forgotten about trying to come out and when we started I started doing a lot of self-help work meditate two hours a day at an panic attacks and I get nervous. I was the only time I ever get nervous. Is If I'm on a first date I get really nervous and if I am auditioning onset at public red carpets pits public. Speaking could give a shit when I eight and auditions I fold paces. Otherwise I'm just don't care. has anyone ever came up to you and said Olivia. Oh you look so good. Look so young still someone on a fighter. She s say he the photographer said to me. Do you know living in Genesis where that you just said that night but I did. NATO wants to meet her head driveway at a house. My girlfriend test her fairy godmother onofre. They call them. You get Gaba and it was weird it because I was there and we're all like look like my mom than I do and I was like I'll take this because I love lenient John. She doesn't live in John. John All right back to this anxiety stuff because to go. That's pretty traumatic. Did you find out was causing this because you got down to the to the surface or not the Serb. What would you say you got deep? You can't be sometimes. I just can't speak congested with finds and bit shit all over me. So what so you start getting self help. You started going to therapy reading so what is causing this. And how did you get it to the root of the problem how did you how did you know or just put an end to it. It's it's a reflection of the people. You date the things every year to look around June. Say what you're bringing into your life. What's going on at the time? How you why you're doing the things you do? It's time and people rice quickly to get all the answers in theory. I can and sit here and garlic as so all the things that I I've been through in my life and why I bought that. In a way I moved to America and and growing up as a kid and trauma through high school. And you don't have to have crazy family and be happening horrible circumstances to grow up and have problems. We all have problems. We all have issues even if your parents the greatest job you'll still come out a little screwy like we have. Some of the most evolved kids had the most craziest parents. It's just a mixture mixture of DNA and who you are and you just figure it out and we all have shit you get into relationships. They tend to be this. I you know the thing that really highlights messes because if you relationship require us to be vulnerable when you vulnerable which comes out when we perform and with honorable Weird Shit and as you get older you just realize we're all role will be fucked and it's okay and we're all working through it and it's hard to change patterning from childhood we all go. I've changed and then we end up his relationship with the same job while the unemployment. It's about breaking those patterns and I found meditation and I found some incredible paypal years and this is the thing I like about the weed is fucking people. Move here so you can find the craziest Shamans or the cry. That really can help you find something digs in triggers. You a great therapist hypnotherapy. I've done it all and I found my system Easton and so yeah yeah. Do you still stay with it so off so you wake up. Mickey Whelan Wakes Up. What does she do first thing? I take my dog out to the bathroom and call. I should have done that this morning. Unfortunately pitch along and my bathrooms filled with presence. All right so go ahead. So then what do you do and on your phone at this point I've had a quick flick it sometimes. I try not to get too in into the instagram because advocacy advocacy. Grab Coffee My coffee bring Yoda back to bed. He sits between my legs. Fine guys onto Timah. Few sips of coffee shot. My eyes goes into into timer. I put the timer on for bad now depending on how much to give them a little sleep. Ni- I meditate on our meditation. Listen unemployed actors can meditate. Take an hour. We have no excuse. If I'm working. Twenty minutes is twenty minutes not enough. If you're not working no it's ample I just enjoy. The price guided meditation Asian. Or do you have just quiet. Silence silence in. Where does your mind go to? For instance like right. Now we're talking. You're meditating your eyes are closed. Does your mind and just race because this is the problem I think a lot of people out there I've meditated now has a hundred and sixty two day straight. Yeah because I you know. Does it work all the time every day. No but people think Oh. I can't meditate because my mind races and that's the whole point your mind does race. Your human being so the whole point is if you can get moments of just where your head's clear and breathing through it and being present right so what goes through your mind. Everything I'm going. I'm going to tell you what edited today like in. Sometimes I'm like this isn't working and then other times I just drop in. There was a quite I saw recently. I don't know if Bill Murray said it but was under pitcher Bill Murray and it said something like I just nee I just try and show up giant be available for life to happen to me and that's meditation you just lay that you sit there whatever your processes it's not about. Oh my God. My Mind's racing eventually as you know it will come down and if it doesn't worry about it you'll get it the next day the discipline of stopping and doing nothing and allowing it's like when I booked Trauma Center I swear to God I was in the bath at my sister's it was December last year. I lied in the bath. It was summertime and we head back and win. I have no. Oh I do in my next paycheck's coming from I'm thirty seven. I have no idea what I'm doing next in my life and I honestly went universe. I'm all yours. Just give me what you want like. Honestly whatever you got next trust you I swear to God I felt I've been I felt sorry. Relax head back and within four minutes. My fine started. Ringing was a producer. John like lease wants to Patty. I'm not now I didn't answer it. And working with Bruce Willis exactly right he takes me guys answer the fine whalen now and I am relaxing. He guys read the script shooting eating in Puerto. Rico match you Bruce Willis Action Movie. Tell me if you want to do it. And I just went inky. There is something to the so I try and tell actors and listen as as you may makes. I shot a couple movies issue but like I don't know as do that but just try and try and be open because as being open is the K and and I don't allow worked bay the validation of my happiness. Don't give a shit right. Rainn Wilson was on here. I always remember that what he said he says. I am not my work. And that's like that's hard to to sort of differentiate or sort of separate because work is such a big part of you but it's not you so I haven't. I've been good in the last week or two because I was really good. I was waking like what I do is i. Don't touch my phone for an hour. You know but sometimes I start to drift off or sometimes I'm not eating so so it's been good yourself in kite associate. Hey I fucked up for a week. Human let's get back on it. Let's get back on. Let's do the healthy shit again. Let's go back in the hikes. Let's go do this and and I think a lot of people including myself that's why I was probably addicted Zanex for a long time because I just felt like my mind. I can't turn my mind off and I'm not going to sleep and I'd rather sleep someone pop Zanex than I go to sleep or you know I'm doing a lead in the show and I I can't I just I'm a producer on it and I have to. I have have to be great and I have to have energy tomorrow. And I'm putting so much pressure on myself and it could. It could just take you in a very you know sort of a downhill spiral. So my thought is everybody's listening a lot of people are like none of this will work. They're going to meditate and that didn't work. I'm going back to a pill or I'm going back to get get disciplined. You've got to be all about discipline isn't it. It's all chain structure in your life. and W don't worry about some warnings rushing past and I always make my bed with no on every more now if you don't make you bed and you've run the hour. Yeah just well. That's a very good shower shower in the morning it's just paypal l.. Searching for the ones I get my next job. I'm going to be happy. Bullshit GonNa be happy going. Be Happy with your mates whenever I've got time off even if I haven't made a great deal of money I'm like I like my life when I'm not working just as much as when I am working if not sometimes more. I love my friends. I love my family. If I'm going through a patron ongoing throughout the and I get really into myself help work love your life and then worked in. The acting thing doesn't become such A. Oh God I'm not working. I'm not validated. It's only going to be better it. It's not like that it. You Nari like you guys. Are you keeping on the hugest shows worked with the biggest actors in the world. It ends and you come back to your harm and you you just you know doing normal shit again it just got. I just think there's too much we put being here and every time you step out the door and I was like what are you working on. How's life equity doing? Isn't that the worst thing that here it's like I'm not working on anything at the moment. I'm having coffee walking my dog every night and partying and having some fun. Traveling on other people are listening anyway. They say they'll go. Oh you're working on. I don't care in their minds. Hey how are you. Oh Hi how are you doing some every once in a while ago not not great just to see if they're listening listening and every once in a while I'm just kidding just want to see if you're listening in Iowa a super busy so busy I couldn't be busier and so is the F.. I like you a lot more than I liked you before like. I didn't really know you met you once. You're a nice every once in a while siege. Hey I'm like I don't know maybe yeah you know you're in your head you're being judged it's like oh you know. She's whatever she's nice you know. Nothing in common. Isn't that typical of the people. Because I'm sitting down with you and having real conversation and I'm gathering what I'm gathering is now is we have the same likes and passions but we're also working on ourselves. I this whole last year has been an awakening for me as an so when I hear you talk about things and I don't like it do is what you're talking going Kyle. She's really being honest right now because this is this is awesome. I hope she's not a liar. This is what it is if you look at asocial mating look at lives. We're all living our best lives. And it's absolute bullshit. I'm not going to host may looking like shit miserable though I like to keep things a lot and fluffy because my personal life is my peers. I laugh Peter. I'm going to sit down and you're GONNA ask me. I WanNa share pain trauma things that go down some days. Nothing has to be going wrong to have a meltdown on some days. Just being a human is really hard. It's hard to be alive you know. Should we be married. Should we have kids. Hollywood we'd lifing itself and then you're regardless as shit about Hollywood instagram. And they're suffering from there aren't things it's weird. We're all getting through it so I always talk about meditation and how important it is to not find validation in this Dan Business. Just get your life. Good get your life really yourself. I've really really really do you. Love Yourself Go Nicky Whelan now I look in the mirror some some rough trade this morning but I I I look at myself and I don't feel guilt. I don't feel feelings. She has actually were choosing stuff. Like Hall Pass and The new movie with Bruce Willis Trauma Center. I saw trailer four and it looked pretty frequent. Intense she's been around man she's been around the block. She's she works and she's got a really good attitude. I learned learned a lot from her. I didn't think I would. I might say that in the interview I mean look her up. She's been in time. I think her for opening up so much. And let's just get into it. Let's get inside of Nicky Whelan. It's my pawn. You're listening to inside of you with Michael Rose by uh-huh inside of you with Michael Rosenbaum was not recorded in front live studio audience. When did you come to the states at fourteen years fourteen years ago? So you were four. Hanky class do you. Do you liking states. It's okay 'cause I get that from you. Not Not arrogance kind of You know Australia's better nationalistic. Sort of feeling. It's it's more like a that's my home. Yeah do you know what it's it's no you're right it's the thing is i. Don't WANNA leave back strike at all places that I would live in Australia four times. I'm going again in June and I've been and by the way if you WANNA say right now if you're sitting at home and you WANNA learn in Australia trillion accent. Here's what you do. There's a couple of cities that if you just say it. You'll automatically get like for instance Melbourne Melbourne Melbourne Melbourne Adelaide at Allied Allied. Brisbane Perth Sydney impressed. It's it's this that's all I can do. It's really early planning accent. That was very impressive. Melbourne Melbourne Melbourne. Like Americans say melborn. It's not right say Melbourne even spell felt like that Night Ryan say Adelaide Adelaide conducive to stop earth breath On bonds English English. Maybe so but that was a good start. Do you hate Americans do. It's really hard to hear because it's like very Wrong and it comes out wrong like it's really easy for us to do your accent because most of our day growing up was American but I could always tell when someone they slip lip guys slip in and out some English. What yours is that good terrible towel? Because I know some people you'll you'll be watching a movie and there's as an actress I won't say her name. I just hear these things. Sometimes he's trying to seven accents and seraphic landing. It's difficult and I think that people only notice if you're from that region everyone else will go like Oh man she southern or oh man. She's Australian. Oh yes you are I I try not to. It's so weird doing another accent in a movie because you just don't feel authentic at all so you have to get so used to it. It just feels weird. I still find it. We the Trauma Center. That's out thout at that now. Video on demand or whatever the The what do they call theaters two weeks. And then it's on demand Bruce Willis LS Tito Ortiz. Had Doing American accent net. See you dead hard. Because that's what I was wondering. I was Nice screaming cry I could. Let's see 'cause I you know I I I I think a chance to watch the movie. Forgive me only because my grandpa passed away. Yes so that's good. Excuse I'M GONNA use. Thank IRV a lovey. Be Up there. Thank you for that one because otherwise I'd be an asshole but by the way it seems like a very intense role I mean you just you. It's you in this hospital. Aw Bruce Willis seems like the good guy in it. These bad cops here. It's not that but it looks pretty intense and a lot of the screaming and yelling. which will I do I I can time movies that kept coming out of striking because when I'm genuinely bawling my eyes out crying I fall back into May and then on that was on bowling Ma downside going like as you do you to slip you trying to be as real as possible? You never thought about that. I think about when you're being sincere and then do it in an accident. It's just imagine if I was doing like an English accent. I'M GONNA probably do on Babylon. Here's in the movie I was from like let's say from England and I'm talking like this like Gary Oldman and I and then all of a sudden in the scene. I don't know I can't do it. It's like wait now. I'm crying and it doesn't sound real because I've never or cry like that. Yes you have to practice. I don't know what you need is down set. You just ask people to be patient with you and to the comes out right actress. Hard isn't it is we. It's like I'd rather be a fucking actor showed up Rosenbaum tired of it. You said you've been around me but I look I say the wrong things a lot of times. First of all we met doing Kevin. and Johnny Farley's podcast at the Olympic Improv member. You're guessing I don't remember number but I do hiring them by the quiz bear on these. I'm sorry I just let it dry. Okay I'm so sorry yeah we did. I'd forgotten about this recently. Actually forgotten. No you're not at all because I like say you on twitter or your for twitter instagram. You know what I think you have to. In this day and age I fought it for so long and then I got to podcasts and I got things going on and you just have to make people aware if you don't see no one's GonNa come see your band not that they do but although although we played at the Roxie and it was a good crowd shutting down the thing store do it remember. It's the the Ri- just ate there so the saving keeping I remember going to shut it down anyway meltdown. Even they want someone who was the first time I ate there and I might have had diarrhea but I'm not sure it. Diarrhea anything to rip it pods sunset. So let me ask ask. You've you've been around a long time with your career you've been acting. I look at your credits and I'm like you've done. I mean I remember. I Remember Hall Pass Fairly Brothers and when you're on a she even. How young were you needed that show Australia? Twenty four twenty five and you kind of a star there is still a star like a bigger star there than here. No I don't know when we SORTA say star in history. It's just like people because busy so big there that everybody knows it said people naive but now on it's not like a starting never looks known it looks like your style like a stranger giants alike rough around the edges. I can American Hollywood if it was like. Oh my God. But they're gives a shit so I did notice anyway like it was a very different like sort of toward you. No one one really cares so I don't feel like a stab. Which is my family? Why you like Australian.

UK government hints BBC licence fee could be scrapped

"Not say. The government continued US ongoing scrutiny of the BBC and in particular folks on the licence-fee today. Nicky Morgan the head of the Department for Culture Media and Sports and as the government was going to conduct an eight week review into the license. Fees should be decriminalized and nicky. Morgan said that there were legitimate concerns. That criminalization was unfair and disproportionate. Now Katy Hey. This is already been one review into decriminalization under David Cameron. which found that? The licence-fee shouldn't be people shouldn't be realized for not paying it at a different prince. This time I think this number. Ten is quite determined to decriminalized the licence-fee Nicky Morgan Speech Day is in particularly I'm surprising. In the census things that have been reported on nervous speculation. It was heading this way when it comes to this eight week consultation period. I can't see that much rush from it. Which is going to persuade them? Otherwise I think we'll be interesting. As do they come to an agreement where they perhaps suits some type of financial rage age with BBC to make up for anyone. WHO's they're not paying the licence fee? Who is it? Move a swift car on that angle. So I think we're heading to situation where the license licence-fee decriminalized questions does that mean. If you didn't have a license fee and you refuse to pay it that your credit rating will no longer be affected. I think this details like that that we will have to find out how it pans out but I think the general sense is determined to decriminalize. I think that if you look at her other comments I think one of the top news lines to come from the speech was TV. License could be abolishment. Twenty twenty seven and this is not just about decriminalization. What is the future of the BBC? Now there is a healthy majority Tory government. And I think that you could hear from what Nicky Morgan was saying in terms of she warned that if the BBC was not Catholic Catholic. Could end up being blockbusters the if people remember on this podcast the video hire shop that critical outpaced by everything else. And eventually Ashley had to shut down as I think that it poses some interesting questions. For How do we supposed to compete. In the years Tacoma and if it it should be I think there is a sense that this government so i. I think there's a sense that this government doesn't believe that the BBC is best place trying to cater to every audience. And I might try and limit some of its remit to things that do seem to be more in the general interests Sir of information on the public roll and I suppose some of the things of as might cool frivolous programs in James are a lot of people are GonNa see this as a very direct attack on the BBC. Be Safe from the government. Decent us a fair characterization. Should I say any giggling about future velocity is no matter just arrived at the table table with a food that public helping the D. A. Calorie Count for most of nearly twenty eight days varies we. Aubrey is not long enough for several months. In this podcast this is a Scottish delicacy. This is a Dalgety Bun is basically a reason is delicious lucious I have not seen one lazily. Slovenian seems to be Made Available Twenty K.. So on the BBC. See I think the question right now is the point that is made by people who do opinion research. Ease one things you can see the net flicks Wchs Amazon Prime subscriptions or these things have changed seep think about the BBC lessons week because they now have something that they pay for entertainment but they can compare it to so people are assessing wherever it is value or not. I mean there's another problem for the BBC which is the BBC have feel that they have a particular ticket problem with the undefeated that mythic grew. Because they don't they don't sit Donna Watch. TV in the wave at POPs can pause generations did onto the BBC alternative going very hauled to tronc reach this audience and also as ways but that is creating new tensions because it means A. They'll getting into people feel that the BBC is beginning to trample commercial providers in areas like focus on also it is it is taking the BBC the BBC was living the way to reach. The students is to do stuff that people don't see the public service Madison so he has Varghese on this morning saying that you know. Let's let's look at the you know the BBC Red Store BBC news on the weekend was about Kim Kardashian. Roy Is that rookie. BBC Nava pulled Cottam reality TV again. Is that public service broadcasting and so I think the BBC face com series of strategic choices. They need to make Ivan. If one was only only thing the BBC now they have to strong stone calls to play one is the union is on the massive random the BBC's undoubtedly one of institutions are going to underpin the kind of cultural aspects of union and the thing that that is the thing that makes them feel more protective of the BBC. And the second thing is the creative industries are great. British expert for BBC became a vehicle for that that would make it fit in with on a broader kind of idea of of a post brexit Britain. I mean James You mentioned strategy before and Katie. Think to be this sort of battle that the the Government has against the BBC kind of on multiple fronts as well. I think Gordon came slightly unstuck today when he was asked whether it was gonNA continue. Its boycott after today program. Do you think as it sort of ramps talks on the BBC. The boycott will have to end. I don't think the boycott will have to end that. This government even the people making that point. I taking this government views them as things that Patinkin particularly linked up. And I say that is not. The government is refusing to send administers on any BBC. Show is a specific show. Now you can criticize that and say Otani. They should be as people made the point in this week. Giving them having terrorist incident. You should be sending people up on these things but I think that the way this number ten tends to work on media is they will do enough usually elite to send a minister onto a similar show or show in the same realm pabst little bit chide the producers on the show they don't like but was it to make the point completely hiding scrutiny. So you can see it in the sense. I thought it was interesting this week for example and this isn't the BBC Pref- had brochand going on the world at John runs deep regret. I think that this week you have good morning Britain the program so it's not just the BBC issue. I think that's probably worth pointing out but give Briseno. We're not getting any ministers on that program doesn't ongoing spat there but this morning got particular talent. So I think that you probably have to separate the two your coaches and I think they all still sending people into shows clearly annoys some people but I think from the number ten perspective they are linked because one of the things about the BBC's it doesn't Operate in the way you would expect it to so it is not a single model. All individual programs fight their corner and they approved very adept at the abortions is team play off against each other. Join the election campaign portions. Andrew Maule no Andrew Neil in the BBC and so. You can't do that one if you don't do that. One at the beginning of this year didn't give a traditional custom race into each day program or to a drama but he did an interview with BBC Breakfast which then led the BBC bulletins because they were news lines in it so in a way because it partly because of the way she's from the BBC Conseil when you call on this year you can't Ernie bit of the BBC unless you do what you want to say the BBC will always be ways to go round particular programs. I mean not is going to challenge the Ucla Whiter how to respond to.

A Quick Trip to Israel and Travel Goals for 2020

"Hi. Hi My name's Nicky Kelvin. I'm Derek content the point sky UK. And I'm with my very good friend. Hi I'm Laurie now. I am senior writer for the point sky and the points so laurie and I very special trip together. This year where the Ba- go Israel for like it felt it was quite long actually ears as really about about ten days. I think like this and we made lots of content. We did lots of stuff and we thought we'd just talk through a couple of the places that we win and Laurie Lori is a queen of Hertel reviews and we reviewed a few places in Ivo State a few extra places best some great points and miles options for staying in Israel Say if you want to hop up fantastic experience you count. Why did we talk about Jerusalem the Waldorf? It's a beautiful towel. Unfortunately they don't have a cool but if it's cooler weather other should definitely stay there. Great Redemption and Jerusalem is beautiful and I was very surprised that it's actually only a very short triple Tel Aviv. You could make a day trip but then you wouldn't be able to stay at the waldorf-astoria I said to the King David on it was quite spectacular old. It was once British headquarters when they had the mandate in Palestine. And it's very historical with pool so I liked it but no points options absolutely so nicky you go into twenty twenty sort of new decade. What are your travel goals? Do you have any advice for travelers. Going Twenty twenty trouble goal of mine actually is maybe think about. This is spend your points miles. I am actually a hoarder and I need to get rid of them. I've got loads of Virgin Atlantic flying club. Miles I've got my eyes set on Ashley in a in a first-class redemption using those hall to get is possible. I think I've got over half a million miles up in different programs. I need to spend those babies attention. Attention Nikki Kelvin. Is Points Order. Denying it actually quickly. I have the best light my entire life literally. I flew from Singapore two zero on the new Singapore oppose suites. So they fly the new suites zero every day. They fly one of the full flights a day to London. But it's hard to get visibility and I was the only person in the sweets out the six suites on this whole crew just for me and they made me a big double bed up. gave me a double sweet and it was best fly of my life and I used hundred twenty five thousand Chris. Fly Malls transferred connects and nineteen pounds. Tux and also included business cost connection from body to Singapore. While I don't know if my top stat but I used seven thousand American advantage miles to fly on Qatar in business cost to Thailand via Doha from Madrid and it was really incredible. Unfortunately it wasn't Q.. Sweets tweets but I think their business houses phenomenal regardless knows a very special experience. Nuts two thousand nineteen from lorries. Ainhoa and Sweet Nikki

Cyrname upsets the odds with landmark victory over Altior

"Of amazing we had bought a spectacle we were treated to surname versus the highest rated a horse and training against arguably the best. Racehorse in training Nichols versus Henderson. was always going to be blood in the water or or something had to give thankfully you both committed you both for us and we ended up with a thrilling thrilling race. In my opinion it was on soft ground surname with his first win on his seasonal debut. Paul was was speaking to nick it yesterday. But this and the thing that really caught my eye or caught my attention was the interview. He gave Lou carvey directly after the race. He was very very emotional. He described it along the lines of Kado stars. Fifth bet fair chase when they weren't entirely sure or the team had had injury issues with them and it could have been his farewell and there were two things that stood out to me about that one the importance of this horse us to comparing him to the greatest source I've ever seen over jumps particularly as as a stare and three how. How exciting reading this? This horse is so number of questions for you. How did you manage to get to ask for the post race celebrations? What what was your impression Russian of the performance and how pleased where you? And why is he as Paul. Nicholson said a different horse. This season question one. No I didn't get Oscar on the way back from Haydock. The reason he won I this year is because like but before now he he is not been the horse he is now he was as a gopher again and again but he was as you all know. He was competing wildwood beforehand. He's called nine an awful lot so I don't think any of his forearm up until so middle. Last season was really relevant to Saturday. A touch does he have. I would imagine obstinately my sis on what is I say when in Maine it was great. Because you know we're using it for prep for the King George is GonNa improve twenty percents of that. Nicky have a bit of that Nicky Henderson upbringing. You in Kev. Just you've written about this for your article authorises which I have indeed read. I tell a lie I I had dictated to me but still i. I know what you've written took brief lazy. I was multitasking. As multitasking. Thanks so just was was suitable but you wrote about lost in translation and switched to surname as always you wrote very eloquently about it This was fantastic clash in an era where these champion horses tend to avoid each other until it comes to the big occasion. This this was terrific. You made the point about the betting which is something that I was talking about as well. The dogs in the street were talking about how what else you're always working. I know that he was after having a wind operation over the summer but so it surname Henderson seemed super confidence that betting was outrageous -rageous threes on l.. T. Org off. But that's not how the script came out. What did you make of what was essentially a match race and thrilling race? Well just to deal with their betting I because this was a story in itself Look at the more race. And you're watching the more markets you watch you. You come to realize that especially in the last decade in particular debating in the last ten minutes before race is very much more paying heed to and big strong late moves tend to be an exceptional guy aid to what's going to happen. What's expected to happen? Of course it doesn't always always work out but this was just a remarkable betting market like I made a nap. The five to four. I talked he was he. He was a very fair price at that. I taught at that price. There was an edge in backing him and he's drifted out to three to one on on the exchanges. You know close to the off and as they were jumping off like it was just a sense of inevitability about that someone somewhere a very big player or a number of big players knew something be at a very very strong positive for your or a negative for surname Someone thought they knew something. Betting just moved to a remarkable extent. But look if you didn't know anything about that and he just watched the race. You know panda lags. The as one might have hoped it. Would you know the the official handicapper got thank. You agree for having certain pound ahead about your. But that's how it panned. Douse the big difference for me. In terms of the prince between the two on today well it was mostly jumping. I don't wanting salmon was an issue for out your his jumping compared to surnames. Just let him down and we didn't see anything madly out of character for. How's your he can give them an NBA too much air? He can be slightly slow through the air and we've seen an in law recent times especially that he can go of it left When he's going around the right track and he did all of those things at various times whereas surname was just Bang Bang Little Bit Long I think it was is the fourth and the sixth when really really mattered he absolutely ping and any chance. That out your head of grinding out a victory as he so often hasn't his career he just finds a way late on especially. It's been a feature about your strong his lateness races. But those two jobs koplowitz surnames obvious. top-class ability just made us and Unachievable task for Audi or and so look fabulous. horserace really really enjoyed US delighted for all concerned as an ecclesiastic. Harry Course Look as enjoyable enjoyable. There's this was Nike say as improbable as it was to get a clash of this of this magnitude in the third week of November You know it does give us tend to look forward to at the manage. It seems like we have a rematch. Look forward to and which will be really interesting at South but You know for all answered some questions. Sion's it asks some new ones as well so this I it was just fabulous really enjoyed us and I'm really looking forward to seeing it wrong back over a slightly eighty different set of circumstances and see what

Jump Racing Stars Return: Weekend Review

"Tracy hello welcome back to the show. Thank you having me back again. Your debut went condone an absolute storm. So no pressure no pressure no I loved it Alaska and so it's good to be getting back into the national hunt side of it at this time as well Have you been reading out much at Tom Georgia stable and have you any info for us. Yeah yeah that's it. Yeah the form is kicking in now as well broke. Because I mean it's well documented. Isn't it with Tom. Sources that they take take a little bit of warming up for the season but OC big guns are coming out now with at some available in black off. Yeah the WHO is going really well. So it's worth getting early in the mornings as mornings getting the leaker at the minutes are going and see yes bro Policy Hoses now into getting getting sits on the. Yeah as we see the frost in the morning and it's dark when we wake up early in the morning and it's getting during the evenings aren't stretching out like they used to but the great thing about it though is that we get to talk about jumps racing and a man who has so many fingers in in so many different pies and so access to so much information is at the races pundit. Mr Kevin Blake the award nominated Nominated Kevin Blake by the way. And if I said this earlier in the year if you don't win this year it's an absolute disgrace time was. has you sound confident. You're sounding confidence. Speech is better than that. Yeah thanks boy. Simon Rowlands also dominated from the racist dot com and rightly so at the races. Dot Com have got Microsoft for the jumps which Kevin has contributed to so to podcasts favorite. Toni Keenan and many others. There is some gold gold information there so highly. Recommend you check it. It'll come up on the at the races. Main page click into it info gold like therefore you speaking of let's look back at some of the highlights. The weekend we saw Nicky Henderson unleash some of his Cheltenham Festival hopes. There were two big races that to you his young guns running and they won but this a bit of question marks over both of them after their performances I would say. Let's start with Santini. We were recording on Mondays. This was yesterday the Virgin bit future stars into media chase at sandown. He just about beat now McGinty to be fair talk. His jeep brand. No SORTA racing was well back in thirty lengths behind winner if the bet three six five or whatever the hell it's called now Cup At sandown. What what did you make of this performance to start the season for Santini kitschy? Yeah it was. Laborious believes the mean Nicky Henderson came out himself and he's a very strict toolkit very nicky Henderson and he said himself you know he's the first one to say that it was is a bit of a struggle facade teeny and but everyone saw him before one hundred and he was he was pretty big weightwise in the PRELIMS US country down to post and I was in the shooter day so we got the full coverage of him and we had a Ken encore in. He rang up to preview the race. What he'd seen in paddock and he just said some teeny he said he? He is big and so naturally he's GonNa come on. Fritz and Nicky Henderson said himself that he's a really it difficult to gauge way. You all with him and he says he doesn't really do a tapa home so he does always need to run and he does always come among for it but he was just always behind the bridal luckily McGinty gave him the lead. Because I'd save Santini a hot to make his own running essay he would have been an idol out in front probably would have lost a few links at his at his fences so not reasonably. He's not going for the king. George now probably move based on His run in Felton noses lush. Da were finishing the. It's just. He's a big horse. He needs galloping. Track in Camden. I'm doing is just to shop for him. Say Rid of a blessing in disguise from a from that point of view but no we. Didn't he just in seconds. Let's talk about him briefly. I thought he ran blinder. I vote he had a sneaky chance going into it of Sierra Stuart Edmonds usage. You never have any fears. What so ever I? I'm out that they are going to be a shooting to perfect shen for that race. Either master trainer of course in terms of he feeds them to the heavens Today that he makes himself but he trains them really hard. So they're tough. They're always fit but they have a plenty enough energy and enthusiasm in them to go well so he runs on an absolute blind just being behind the bridal early on another one a and Tommy Bryan made really decisive move in just getting him up with the pace Properly make his mind evidence fences and forcing the issue and and baking his fitness toby source Santini country down to post and thought he have the fitness to a retention prevail over him. But he'll go to Welsh national on our which We will have a massive massive chance in that providing Yeah is his jumping still say as well which he had a little bit of an issue last last time Last season one hundred with fresh early on how to get Genieford Huntington very unseated Karen Gatherings at day. So he's an yeah. He's a really nice looking forward but yes I'm teeny is going to have to come on a lot. He's got approved himself. Invest Higher Rankings. So Santini is rory largs idea of the Gold Cup winner will come to my selection who has reappeared hidden very much disappointed already this season but this was his first our start. He's threes on Kev. Are we being overly harsh on Nikki source. Is it just a case of while he's come out in these one or would you look at this. This is a forerunner race. You should've known by further. Yeah and I'm pretty disappointed. SULFITE Very Labor which you wouldn't really expect it's an honor horses seasonal reappearance. They should be more exuberant than normal really under the seasonal return and he was very labor. It needed to be driven away from fences dances relatively early in the race and just made really hard work of hired to put a number on. What now McGinty did in Iran up to himself or was he was he just blow himself Out of his wallet. Because they're a monetary of the rest having raised the Gallup so very disappointing. Look you'd never judge a horse too harshly on on one. Go with again. The next day was if he shapes in in in any way similar fashion. IB reaching for cheek pieces or blinkers curse or something like that. Because I think he shaped like a horse that needed them there and you know. It's it's puzzling Nikki. Seemingly isn't considering the Christmas chasing Jason efforts down for him. If he doesn't want to go to the King George that would be the natural target for I think Nikki is a small bit allergic to go to Ireland anytime buyer the Punchestown unfestive which is Pity because you'd imagine the effort sound would play to his strengths. Why is that though because the the lexus chases aces used to be known? Now the Leopardstown Chris Denman came over for best mate. Came over for it. Pretty sure L.. Best mate got got beaten in it by the infamous for Salmon Salmon. Paul carberry celebration but it is the ideal race for him and yeah look. Nikki is tell them focused. It doesn't like to travel before it and I think that's ultimately it okay. Well let's take a look at some of the other horses reappeared who are second season chasers and this means that we have the opportunity to talk about this yet. The ladbrokes champion chase down royal was won by Roach. Respect is a real funnel podcast favorite mostly. Thanks to Kim Blake Cleanser Soba was well held back in seconds. The King George Winner Alpina so back in third. We'll talk about jockey bookings a little bit later on and then there was Delta work all the way back and forth. Who was my idea of the Gold Cup winner? I was really perplexed by this. Was this In your view Kate a real case of. It's very early in the season. Let's not panic or would you be a little bit worried. The cleanser Soba was beaten so easily the delta work was well held. Maybe we're not giving them respect to Russia respect. Yeah I royer I. I definitely think it's way too early for me to take any sorts of judgement entitled to send in a Kuna cools after the race. I mean it's been well documented over stars who their seasons pools horses will very much needed the Ron and you kind of thought the fact that Kandebow was making the journey over that he might Well have that fitness on his side. He may be a bit more focused on the fact they were going that way but I think he he shaped really well and You know I caridi wouldn't read too much into that and Yeah he's A. I think he's a really nice progressive. Who Still Use Yucca? Plenty enough it gives you everything folks on this end of the season at this stage. Now it's not for me to read too much into

Making sense of the Brexit confusion

"Turn now to today's top story you'd be fooled into thinking that you k. was in full campaigning mode by this weekend papers depending spending which paper you picked up the Conservative Party was going to promise you the moon or destroy civilization labor either had the beginnings of a pasta victory or already dead and unburied and Nigel farage from the Brexit party isn't going to stand for parliament but he's not going to go away so Vince macaroni. UK correspondent for your news joins me in the studio here to make sense of a rather messy weekend welcome back to the Vincent the the thing that everybody's talking about this weekend is that despite the fact that it is brexit has brought brought us to this general election in the United Kingdom everybody is determined not to be an election about brexit overseas are trying to shift the focus back onto domestic guess used as the feeling in the country too much of the national broadband has been taken up the bandwidth being taken up five brexit for years and years is now and they want to hear the party's plans for other services they want to hear about education any chest police because there is a feeling that after ten years of parity these services are very much at the point of collapse and so I think my understanding is Labor will try very much to in the next two days to get the brexit part of the election done do do that big speech and then try to move on from that and talk about other issues the Denver through interesting of surprise that they actually put brexit in their in their main party slogan last week they are very much thinking that if they hone in on the Brexit message that that could be there rock wall like it was in the two thousands that got them under Charles Kennedy and Nick Clegg up two numbers kind of approaching sixty and if they have a very clear simple message and they will to other policies but if they are the anti brexit party that will give them a huge boost in numbers and along with the SNP it could be those two parties that decide the course of what happens at the end of this election indeed the political world at the moment is shifting to the point where we have how many people now who have left their respective parties to join the Liberal Democrats in order to buy into this this anti brexit ticket we've seen an awful lot of people who would say with Bush sort of Brexit moderates have moved over quite a few figures moved over this weekend as well didn't they yes we had more switches happening but also the big thing as well to watch as the number of resignations that's taking cases is pretty extraordinary you're seeing kind of root out of women in parliament something that Theresa may too low touched to help get in but you're saying on the conservative side of moderate women like Nicky Morgan who currently sits in cabinet it is going Margaret James was a successful businesswoman also algae bt woman she says that the abuse and talk nature parliament's got too much she is going You need likes Angora Justine greening you're seeing real kind of carve out long Ken Clarke as well of the kind of the the Severo file centrist camera night position in the party just suddenly being kind of removing themselves from it one of the key voices in that was dominic grieve is a former attorney general here in the United Kingdom them kicked out of the Conservative Party voting against Boris Johnson a now making a very strong point which suddenly places a British election or other international personal life is called for the publication of a report on Russian meddling in the democratic process in the UK to be published before the general election. Boris Johnson has said no it Trumpian echoes it it does embarrassed I mean the the problem is you know report tells you what went wrong it doesn't help you set up the procedures you need to change and protect for tech something for future so whilst it would be handy to know I mean I think all of the parties will be taking you know improve security measures to make sure that they're not oh getting hacked as we've seen other elections being where you know the DNC and the US was hacked but yeah there is a question mark about social media we know that twitter has decided it won't Muskrats I mean that wasn't a massive issue here I think in in the UK you know the numbers on twitter actually quite small when you step outside of Westminster bubble it's not it's not the whole population but yeah we all uh-huh very curious to see what it is that is happening on facebook because the problem is that you or I are not seeing the APPS that certain people James and Scunthorpe and Tom in Wales and and Julie Danas brightness saying because of this micro targeting that is going on in that still hasn't been cleared up it would be interesting to know especially with the kind of talk now the pressure being put on facebook iceberg and other countries in Europe having blocks facebook from running class I think Arlen and France with the two in recent elections that have blocked whether the UK should've said until this this problem is cleared up we do this but at the moment all the polls looking so tight and I think all the parties will be worried by the poll numbers at the weekend especially going towards possibly hung parliaments parliament's that they're all keeping mum on their social media activties thing that was raised this weekend was the the Joe Promise it Boris Johnson in had given been given the gave rather diner dej then stay in the European Union post the thirty first of all I'm currently unite currently sitting in London were still part of the European Union check my calendar country disappointed around the country expressing the defections Liberal Democrats there was he gave even into yesterday for the first guy and the interviewer asked him if he was if he would apologize for effectively breaking a fundamental promises miss that he had repeated and repeated and repeated and this is what he said this study I do I do and I'm deeply deeply deeply disappointed and I had to consider sorry yes absolutely right then do we consider that to be an apology or is this is someone who's sort of off off record half acknowledging the problem I think as far as half ignoring the problem and I think this might come into the four of this election Boris Johnson have a line for decades that his personal life private life is personal and he's not going to discuss it and he's not someone who stands on election and preaches family values I use but when it comes to this issue of trust and the scrutiny of someone's personal life that is fair game in a general election when you're trying to become the Alito country his election the Tories was only around one hundred forty thousand in the end his electric this time is millions and millions of people and they have a right to know the character the person that is leading country I think Boris Johnson is going to struggle struggled in that interview particularly the sort of talk to sort of he had to four times say he wasn't he was asked four times about ruling out to this Scottish referendum for independence and he wouldn't do that because he knows he might have packed with the SNP and then later on clarified obsessions Shinzo did rule out because the interview was very it was very boris trying to office gate trying to dither and trying to get away from things I think he's going to face in the coming weeks some pretty harsh questions about his almosty his relationship with truth the people that he has misled recently a court found her majesty the Queen and the way that he's conducted his personal life we're in different world though now and not many people actually care about such things it would in the old days have hats it's on quickly booted out of number ten you say that then of support for Johnson but I'm not I'm not saying that the conduct itself is what will turn people off I think it is putting a question mark above his head that he may not be someone to trust and the way he is treated family and friends uh-huh means that believing what he's saying is very hard and when he's giving interviews like that one yesterday to say for Ridge on sky in which he seems very evasive I don't think about will help is 'cause neither will Nigel farage who the leader of the brexit party and someone who keeps appearing on television screens an awful lot despite the fact that he isn't actually a member of parliament is and nor does he intend to be an an MP this timer I mean first of all a very curious decision he'd he'd obviously looked at the polling and brexit party had dipped down over the weekend in the polls he's someone who's previously run for parliament seven times and been rejected five elections to buy collections and being an MVP There is a lot less scrutiny than being an MP but an MBA in this country means that you have to declare your finances you you had to declare your interest you will say are accountable to constituents I mean I I for one cannot envision Nigel farage running Friday constituency surgeries and trying to help other people people have problems Nigel Farraj is probably a broadcaster these days first and foremost as well as a kind of media figure and I think it's very interesting how can you I'm I'm an send the latest say they're going to release their sort of six hundred fifty candidates they're gonNA run up and down the country they have given Boris Johnson is two weeks window to drop his deal and then they could form an alliance Donald Donald Trump is once again over the weekend probably frogs etchings toll bars you know do deal with this Guy Nigel but for Nigel how can you say that you're launching a national national domestic policy and not want to be the leader of it in the House of Commons how can you how can you be doing that how come the public you you seriously as a political force when you yourself are doing it and I think they did sweep the MVP elections earlier in the year I went to one of their events in the candidates some optic strong one referring to Africa as a country rather than the continent on stage not being corrected not correcting herself and I think the scrutiny that comes by being an MP is far more the running for an Emmy Pena's country and the caliber of the candidates might not be as strong they might not be as well vetted and I think think that some of them will be sort of par local hustings did some macaroni from urine you thank you very much indeed for journeys monocle twenty

How Are Maine Coons Different From Other Cats?

"Friendly intelligent and huge. Maine coon's are rugged longhaired cat breed. That's become a favourite of Phelan fans everywhere from the breeds mysterious origins to its oddly dog like behavior Maine coon's. Aren't your average everyday house cats first off. They're the largest of all domesticated cat breeds. They gain as much as two pounds. That's about a kilogram per month during their growing cycle which ends at about four years of age which which is more than quadruple the maturity time of other breeds well most adult cats way about seven pounds. That's around three kilos. Maine coon male cats tip the scales up to twenty five pounds or eleven kilos females typically weigh in at about twenty pounds or nine kilos. Maine coon's are also some of the world's longest domesticated. It'd cats in terms of physical link as well as in terms of time since domestication both male and female. Maine coon's typically reach up to forty inches. That's a meter for in length from their noses to the tips of their bushy tails and although the main coon is often regarded as America's first domesticated breed. It's ancestry is shrouded in mystery jury advances in genetic testing could help identify the Maine coon's ancient relatives which may have accompanied the Vikings on their exploratory voyages. There is one origin story you however that may have resulted in the breed's distinctive name Captain Charles Kuhn kept longhaired cats on board when he sailed from England to New England ports during the late seventeenth seventeen in early eighteen hundreds legend has it that when Kuhn anchored his ship in New England ports his cats would slip away to mate with local felines although it is is steeped in speculation this long-standing folk story purports that these long haired Kitten or referred to as coon's cats the Maine coon's origins may be Murky Erkki but its future looks clear in nineteen eighty-five the main coon was declared the official state cat of Maine and as twenty eighteen the main coon was the fifth most popular breed in the United States a Maine coon even had a pivotal role in the Harry Potter films as Mrs Norris The pet cat of Custodian Mr Filch her claim to fame besides starring starring in one of the hottest film franchises of all time was stopping on command as she paced the halls of hogwarts. Many Maine coon's can be trained the way that you train a dog this intelligent and eager to please breed exhibits a few doglike tendencies such as following their owners between rooms and the capacity to and interested in responding well to training with the assistance of training techniques like using a clicker that makes a clip indistinct sound followed by treats. A Maine coon's behavior can be harnessed though despite popular perceptions options just about any cat can be trained using these tools if you keep at it and that training can help keep house cats stimulated satisfied and physically fit. Most cats have an aversion to getting wet but not so Maine coon's equipped with water resistant for these be lines. Tory leadership battle hots up, and all change at Change UK Politics Weekly podcast

"This is politics weekly. I'm Heather Stewart Naza time for us to believe in ourselves. What we can. And that's why I am standing to be leader of the conservative party Boris Johnson began his leadership campaign in earnest this week, telling him peas he was best placed to beat labor and put Nigel Farage back in his books. Meanwhile, leadership rivals queued up for an audience with Donald Trump as the US president blew into town for his photo opportunity with the Queen the contest kicks probably next week. So is it still for assist to lose this week? It's all change at change. You pay the six of eleven piece, depart, the flushing party. We talked to one of those sticking with it, Chris, Leslie. That's all in this week's politics weekly. And then there were eleven early casualties of the Tory leadership race this week were Kibble house, and James cleverly who withdrew as the party agreed new rules to weed out candidates with little chance of winning the six front runners with enough declared supporters are burst Johnson Dominic Robb, Jeremy hunt. Michael g-o-v such each of it. And Matt Hancock Johnson is current favorite to be anointed. His prime minister in the week of the twenty second of July, but a month is a long time in politics. Could we be looking at prime minister movement or dope, McVeigh by the summer while I'm joined to discuss all this by Katie balls from the spectator, and Ellie Mae o'hagan and Rafael bear from the guardian Katie was going to say you had a ringside seat at the hustings on Tuesday night, but you, you were the ringmaster hustings on Tuesday night, and we journalists most of journalists were outside in the corridor. Sad to say what, what was the mood like in there in the room managed to get a seat? So I was chairing the discussion and it was one one by one interviews. I think demeanor was fatty polite atmosphere. I think ahead of it, there was some talk that both could be heckled. And it was this is because it was the one nation caucus. So this is the group of conservative MP's headed up by Ambrosia NICKY, Morgan, now, I think there are lots of conservative MP's would describe themselves as one nation conservative term. Isn't it exactly? Specifically this group, they have the declaration of values which relate to things like having a United Kingdom the environment at free enterprise. I think what the best known for is don't like no deal, and they are opposed to nodule Brexit. So both Johnson describes himself as one conservative useless to saying that he went take canoe deal Brexit off the table. So there was some of you that this could be a real confrontation. But I think everyone listened to ever and had to say and before you an hour after gone splash on the front, free newspapers his comments, so love invasion did gap from the then of. Associates. Boris Johnson's pitch is was that he wasn't going to soften his new deal Brexit nine, but he did try and play up of the things that he would have in common with the MP's and the room. I think what's really benefiting Boris Johnson right now is someone called Dominic Robb because compared to Dominic Robb Bros. Johnson, seems less right? Win some of the MP's in the center of the Tory party on various issues, and that's making them think that if they have to have Brexit Hugh, is willing to countenance a deal Brexit. Bruce Johnson is a less bad option than someone like Dominic grump. I'm Michael go wrath last night. At the second round of these hostage not shared by Katie. We should say put himself in different position again. Didn't he said on what the idea of October thirty first? So he's the sort of even slightly more sensible Exeter's. Yeah. This has been Michael goes position for some time, which is essentially sort of the most as it was author, dogs, true believe of breaks. It's here up. To the point of accepting no deals. Because now for a number of reasons that he can't quite go that far and say, you know what? No deal is something we should do partly probably just because he is just a slightly more rigorous serious thinker than some of the people who prepared to go along with no deal. Chatting, I think he genuinely understands the hazard for the state for the economy. That would be involved in that I think, particularly the department that he was in, when he was environment. Secretary just introduced him to a lot of the practical problems that go along with doing no deal. And also, he has to recognize he's very tight cool politician, he recognizes that, you know, between. I think he's absolutely right. What she said about Dominic Robb based carving out this space football to be sort of as it were one row into simultaneous when you've got someone who's out in the oil, being completely bonkers and that's actually quite good position for Boris to be in. And so Michael really has to then pitch himself as insofar as a center of the conservative party unity. Can't that, that would be him. And I think broadly speaking, that is at least logically true. If you did a kind of a growth with a sort of X Y axis that sort of leave one end remain on the other tra- Thatcherite with slash and burn pros therapy on one, acts and one end sort of old skirts, though, wet invest spend money on stuff at the other end, and it sort of scatter plot on that axis of where all the parliamentary Tories are you'd probably find they've pretty much in the middle of that the problem is that being that Younes you can also means you alienate people on various fringes, but he, I think he's probably put himself in fairly tactically, g position and any took him out. Dominic mopping out out in the aisle. There last night's contribution from him was that he'd be willing to provoke parliament to suspend parliament, if necessary to get no Brexit, no deal Brexit food. That's pretty extraordinary, isn't it? Yes. Absolutely extraordinary. And I mean, this is a very cliche thing to save it. I, I wonder what the. Action would have been in if, if a labour MP had said that, I mean, I feel that people would have been saying it Stalinism is going to be tanks on the lawn of parliament square. You know, of course, perogie parliament is a crazy idea. And yeah, I think we should really reflect on what's going on in the conservative party. I think something really extrordinary is happening in that party. That is the case. Katie's ideas that would have seen credibly fringe now in mainstream discussion in the Tory polcy I would save on the parade and parliament comment. Dominic robb. He is that minority view of all the candidates, and actually, like a lot of people have reacted very badly to the idea. You're going to provide parliament, so I mean, it is something that you can't say they would do it in that room. It landed very badly and is interesting that in the hustings chat, every single Brexit he was saying, they would Constance emoji Brexit. So sad Javid. Andrea leads him and Boris Johnson explicit. Early route parading parliament. So I didn't think it is a majority view in the conservative party Andrew, let's inset that she consulted Klux at some point, and had wet this wasn't really viable option such Javid said that he's what parliament had to have a say. So, I think what you seeing is when it comes to Dominic Robb, what of the votes, he is going to try and make the final t now the European research group, that is a great gift, the eurosceptics of the policy that feel most strongly on having clean Brexit. Now, I think by having this dividing line between himself and Boris Johnson. I think it helps Boris jokes in many respects, I think Dominic Robb is trying to pick up this European research group votes to try and get further and free the rans, and he now has something to say, I am more serious about delivering no deal than my rivals less sanguine about the tool, even if it's only a tiny amount even if it's just only grow Francois talking about perogie Parman because Elliott this really is happening here is. Constant ratcheting of the parameters of was a normal discussion about what you should do in this country, further and further away from things that are practical. And so when you hit talk about a sort of global trade breaks or clean Brexit, or no deal Brexit. There's really no discussion of actually involves what practically that means. The reason Dominic Robb way, anyone would entertain parochial parliament is because there is this question of, could you actually persuade parliament, is that some potential parliamentary obstacle to delivering no do? And even the quite moderate will self stop motoric candidates in this race when they sable I wouldn't do not. We Michael go says, will we pretty have to get another extension their explanation is because parliament won't permit no do now? That's a pretty cowardly way of framing it. Because actually the reason not to do is because it's a terrible terrible idea. There's no such thing as a clean. Brexit, immediately often odeal your whole legal system, your economy in chaos your force back into in the Goshi action with the EU but for a much weaker position is properly bonkers. No one was seriously. Counseling in two thousand sixteen or twenty seventeen is only Lanzoni gender now and as the sort of the framing of the debate moves it just becomes a entirely normal thing to this Gus. And when half of the field of Tory candidates are prepared to discuss that quite normally that suggests a as was just said that the conservative parties in, that's a very peculiar place, ROY now when I'm part of that is because the backdrop of the discussion is what's going on impeachable this week where there's a by-election and Nigel. Farage is Brexit party looks as if it might do quite well, right. That's, that's what's in people's eyes were having this discussion. I think there is a sense that the Brexit party if you're going to the various frets to the Tory vote, the Brexit party frat is tina's at greater threat right now than the liberal Democrat vote now it's interesting. Lots of Tory candidates went to say, hey, we can actually win both voters back. I think never skepticism as how you unite voters who have said many times they want to know deal Brexit. They were only take that as being a Brexit that they would accept as fitting. Description, and how you those remained conservative OTC feel very isolated by the party and looking at the nipple Democrats. And I think he looked at the European election. Results teapot, is very well very clear Brexit positions. But completely opposing and that's a riddle I think every main party when it comes to working at had to get a big coalition of voters. I think on the Brexit polity point, there is a general sense, and I think you saw this in the hustings this week that such Javid stage loss of support. Actually, when he said the way to beat the Brexit party is by not being the Brexit party, and I think there are lots of Tory MP's you feel that you need to deliver Brexit. But you shouldn't be doing straight the noise Farraj playbook to do that anyway. Let's talk about Johnson was a briefing with a Tory poster Lord Haywood this week, who was saying he comes out with the most popular candidate. So he's the conduct people most not recognized like he also comes out the most unpopular candidate. He's an incredibly divisive, and polarizing figure isn't he would lay relish, the chance of taking on Boris Johnson to think gem, an election. I don't think that labor would relish taking on Boris Johnson though. I, I also think that we shouldn't underestimate Michael g-o-v is particularly fees. I mean I is total speculation on my part, but, particularly if he's still in contact with his old colleague, Dominic Cummings, then labor probably will be in trouble who, of course, helped run the vote leave campaigns by significant figure in the vote leave campaign. Yes. On this very talented, political tactician. Boris johnson. I think Boras he, he represents the kind of era that we're living in.

Investing: Wait For It...?

"Things a lot of smart people apparently do with their money. It is also a question. We get a lot here at the indicator, namely, timing the market. So basically, this is just trying to figure out what the stock market's gonna do. For instance, is the stock market gonna go up. So you should go buy a bunch of stocks right away. Or you know is the market gonna go down. You should celebrate of stocks. So j. Jill timing. The market's first of all there is this classic smart person mistake, which goes something like this. I am really smart. If I put a lot of time and energy and focus on researching something I will yield better results than the schlub down the whole for me, who's throwing darts rice. That's that's really, the classic smart person homework. I'll do homework exactly know how to perform yet is like so spot on. So the problem is that first of all investing is not just about homework. It is emotional market timing classic example. So here's what market timing is generally as we speak today on this in this moment, the stock market went down at the end of December and rallied in January and continued to rally in February. And now people are writing in and saying to me. Well, I was going to invest my tax refund in my Roth IRA, but I think I'll wait because the market's going up right S. Well, yeah, you don't wanna like what if the market falls again next month? And then you're it's like when you buy a sweater, and you walk by the store three days later and the sweaters been marked down sixty percent. And you feel like a jerk jerk. Right. And so people don't want to make that jerky decision. Like that's fine for the dumb people. But I'm smart, of course. And now, I'm here to tell you that my own dumb thing was trying to time the market, and it is a class, and by the way to classic traders mistake, also that they're the reason why I could make money as a traitor in the late eighties on the floor of the commodities exchange traded exhaust were there. Any other women there? Eight women eight hundred men really yeah. It was great. I was fun. I feel like you could hold your own. But was it fun? Or was it difficult to it was it was not fun in the moment. It was a fun place to have worked. The there is one one of the the classic scenes of my life. Is that I walked home my sister. And I lived in the same apartment building at the time. And I came home, we step dinner all the time together. And so I walked in. And she was where you're trading jacket home. It's disgusting. What you got ink all over you? And I said, oh, oh that's not Inc. It's blood, and she said blood, it's all over your jacket. What happened to you? I said, oh, these two guys were in the ring, and they got into a fight and one guy head, but another guy blood splur- splattered all over me. So I turned around, and I said NICKY, are you? Okay. And then someone said a half bid for a hundred. I turned my back, and I screamed sold a fire. The ring I don't even know what happened to those two guys. They could have got. From blood lots. All right. Let's get back to market time. Yes. Market timing. But it was your job as a traitor to timely. So I really learned about money and emotions the reasons that you make a lot of money in that day and age in on a trading floors at someone would say, you know, what is the price of this thing and at one week, right, right? You say silver. You know, I will buy it at ten cents. I would sell it at fifteen cents. And you could literally have someone say buy and sell them. They could basically have both sides of the transaction happen simultaneously. And you make that nickel in the moment. That's how you make money as a traitor you grab Nichols. And the problem that is market timing. Is you have to make to brilliant decisions. You have to decide when to sell and then went to buy back in or conversely the other way round, right? So when I was investment advisor used to write a column, and I was very hyper about the technology boom of the nineteen nineties, and at the end of the boom, I wrote an article about how I was going to unload a lot of my technology stocks. And I. Thought that it was dangerous market and thought it was a genius because guess what the market fell at a bed in two thousand the only problem is that I kept writing about how it's not time to get back in. You can't do it. You can't do it. You can't do it and someone very wisely. At the end of two thousand two wrote to me and said you've missed the entire recovery of the market or is two thousand three you've missed the first year of this recovery. And I said, you know, what you're right. I got huge Ed on my face was a great lesson. It is hard to time the market and actually it's not a good. It's not even a good way to accumulate wealth. Because if you stick with your game plan over time, you'll probably be just fine. But by trying to time when to get in and out, you could really hurt yourself. You could really blow up your financial plan. And so when people say, I just got my tax refund, and I'm scared to put money into my Roth IRA, and you're twenty eight years old. I wait a minute. You're investing for thirty years from now what if you're fifty eight years old if you're fifty eight years old, and you're invite. Testing for the next. Let's say ten years, you might say I'm gonna wanna take as much risk. Okay. You don't have to invest all in stocks. You could put some money in stocks and some money in bonds and some money and cash, but I would also say to you if you're fifty eight years old, and you're investing think about this. Let's say you plan to retire when you're sixty eight you're gonna probably live twenty more years, you're not investing up until the day you retire you are investing through your retirement. So the idea that you think you can time the market is nonsense. You're probably not. So you don't have to do it. And you know, what you don't even have to be a great investor to be hitting your retirement goals, your college savings goals, you really don't which had to do is be a disciplined saver. And I just heard from a woman so funny. She said to me on the worst the says, she starts the call. I'm the worst. Tell me about that. She's well, I'm a teacher in the South Bronx. And I've worked my whole life, and I have a pension, and I had some money in our school retirement account and just had tons of money in the Bank and just the worst. I I said you're put it on her savings. Yeah. Savings because I'm the worst. I said why is that the worst? I said, you know, the hardest part of financial planning is saving bright. And so yeah, I know you wish you were more efficient than you had actually put money away. But you're in great shape, girl. You know, you got your pension coming up. You got some money in your deferred compensation plan. And you know, what the four hundred grand that's in the Bank. You're not the worst. You pretty damn good. Julie Andrews lends her legendary voice to 'Aquaman' - the direct competitor to 'Mary Poppins Returns'

"What is your red light this week? So my red light this week is Julie Andrews now, I know a lot of you were like truly injuries is a treasure. She's one Oskar. She's Mary Poppins. Here's my problem with Julie Andrews now, she famously said she was not going to do a cameo in Mary Poppins returns because she did not want to distract from what Emily blunt was doing. And I thought that is classy lady, but instead, she's doing voice acting job in that stupid aquaman. That is the competitor for Mary Poppins the weekend at opens I've real problems Julie Andrews with you aligning yourself with the stupid, aquaman lake. You wanna be instead of being in a movie with Lin Manuel Miranda and Emily blunt? You want to be an film with amber heard is that what is that what you're hoping for? And I know something you might be like, well, Nicole Kidman's in it. Like, it's totally like, it's not. Nope. You don't get to be in the competing film after you've tried to been like, oh, no. No, I don't wanna I don't to like distract because I'm like a good person. You're not a good person. I don't like this as crazy every time. I see that promo like I gasped, and when Nikki kids comes up, and I'm like, okay. Are you under duress? Are they making you do this? What do they have on you? It's crazy. It's insane. It feels like they have some Scientology history on her that she's like, well, this is I've just gotta take one for the team. She's like all my I guess so Bainian movie. Let's go. I don't know why she's why you always make her cell aggressively. I'll why not it's more fun. I guess she leaves with Keith. And you're like Keith has rubbed off on her. She's logging. Lemme lemme ask my husband Kaethe ebb and what I should do. And he's like, hey, I'm capable and I think you should do this movie NICKY as perfect perfect

What Actually Happened Between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj?

"That there wasn't altercation between the entourage is of Nikki manashian Cardi b. or at least between Cardi b. and one of Nicki Minaj is onto Rosh. It's a little confusing and you can't really see too much. There are few videos out, but you can't really see exactly what happened. Partly because this occurred at the bazaar cons party during New York fashion week, so people weren't supposed to be filming. Anyways, this was sort of a high fashion event both Cardi and Nikki were wearing very high fashion dresses and heels. But this seems to have been involving Raleigh who's a member of Nicki Menaj his entourage and car. Be and supposedly someone Nikki herself or someone in the entourage, or this is referencing previous thing that was said or multiple things not quite clear, possibly said something about Cardi b.'s daughter, and she got very upset and attack them, and it doesn't seem that Nikki was hit or injured in any way that I heard a lot of several comments about how she was behind security and also possibly that Raleigh stepped in front of her. So it doesn't seem that Cardi manage to actually hit Nikki. She did. It seems take off her shoe and throw it at her, but then she was escorted out and it's not clear if anyone hit Cardi b. back. But as she was escorted out, you can see in the photos. She has this very sizable not on her head above her left eye that she looks, you know, pretty almost collected, but she's not like cry or anything, but that looks like it hurts like that is that is a large, not. Just how from people who were there. They say that they think that came not from a member of Nikki's entre, but from security being hit in the head by Elber, whatever security was trying to break that up. Cardi b. then later posted a note on her Instagram, not necessarily referencing Nikki by name but clearly seeming to be directed to her about, you know why she went off and why she lost it and how she's not gonna take it anymore. But what I love most about the story is the fact that this happened at like a super high fashion event because you know, Cardi b.'s a mother now, and most mothers are definitely protective of children. It sounds like she and Nicki Menaj we're having issues even before this. So I'm not too surprised that Cardi b. would have been like, I will go at you anytime anyplace about this, but it's just like, okay, what you're those are not fighting close. You're in. What I'm sure is a very expensive, very, you know, very high fashion dress and he'll at least NICKY was 'cause I definitely saw the video of her arriving at this and I'm like, I probably couldn't even walk in those heels. Never mind in those skills with that dress because it's got a bit of a train, and I just I'm not that coordinated, but, but you want to actually start a physical altercation in those outfits like at least at least take off your shoes before you start that altercation to like, give yourself the ability to maneuver. I, I don't know why thought that, but like that is interesting. So this clearly not finished. This might only be the start of things. It's not even clear people did remark that Nikki didn't seem to faze about anything. And again, she doesn't seem to have actually been Cardi b. doesn't seem to actually been able to get to her that she was behind security, but clearly this is not

"So I might as well tell my bad story. So I'm going to start by telling you the outcome is not bad. Okay, because I know when people started telling me a story and I'm like a gory time, but but you know what? It's it's bad. So. You know, when I've talked about my kids to friends who have older kids or that have you know, maybe kids that are a couple years older than mine, they'll say, oh, wait till you. Wait, you just wait. You have no idea, x, y, and z is going to happen. They're going to do this. They're going to that. And I always say, that's why go, you're probably right. Because what do I know? And then I'll go get Nikki is like he's pretty, he's responsible kid. Yeah, he's always been. Yeah. He's always been on the straight narrow. He's always been very responsible. That doesn't mean he's do. She's meters, screw up sometimes, but he's never done really stupid things before. So I always calls when it gets their tax sponsor will. Yeah. And all parents tell me when he goes with other families, the same thing. So I'm not going to tell you how I saw this, but I got wind of the fact that he was in a car with a friend and the friend's brother and the friend's brother's friends whose four boys in a car. I never would have allowed him to drive with this person for many reasons, but I'm not going to give a lot of details 'cause I don't want people to figure out who I'm talking about, but there was an inappropriate driver k. and his friend and then NICKY and his friend in the back seat and the there was a video and I couldn't read the speedometer. I mean to see how fast they were going. But the comment in the thing was one forty on PCH hundred and forty miles an hour on PCH or who had it you. You find that on on like on the league? No. Someone joked though. And I found it out on sale Monday morning early adversely. I woke up like at five AM and someone had texted it to me and I looked at it and I was done because all I can thinking about was only God and I knew where he was. He was in bed. This didn't happen the night before this was, oh, probably happen a week ago wasn't like just happened. Okay. Trump a week before and. I kept watching it over and over again when I thought also video video. Just laugh of Nicky's face that his friend talk, laughing going. Of course he had a seatbelt on, but who cares? Right at that point. One hundred and forty miles an hour, and he's laughing and they're in the car, and I thought, oh my God. One slip of the wheel. One. Rock in the road and that video I would be watching for the rest of my life and look at it and thinking, this is the last time my job was alive..
