'Disturbing': Experts troubled by Canada’s euthanasia laws

"Experts see Canada's euthanasia laws as a threat to the disabled Alan Nichols had a history of depression and other medical issues but none were life threatening The 61 year old Canadian was hospitalized in 2019 over fears he might be suicidal He felt that he was more of a nuisance to the staff there and that he was just easier just to go And not be a bother to anybody His daughter Aaron Smith says within a month nickel submitted a request to be euthanized and he was killed Only one health condition was listed as a reason for his request to die hearing loss Canada arguably has the world's most permissive euthanasia rules Family physician DACA Ramona coelho says death is being offered as a way out The system is being applied so liberally and so easily in such a short time period that people are dying who would have recovered with greater care and resources to live Canada is set to expand euthanasia access next year I'm Ed Donahue

Sylvester Stallone Doesn't Own Even 1% of Rocky

"I can go on and on when it comes to actors who are known worldwide for specific characters, but none of them created those characters. None of them sat down and wrote those characters stories out and then made a multi-billion dollar franchise out of both those characters. There were 5 rambos and 6 rockies. And of course, creed was spawned from rocky and I think there are two of those and one more is coming. They don't count. I don't like them anywhere near as much as rocky. I don't see what people see in Michael B. Jordan and Stallone didn't create them, so we'll take those out of the equation. But think about this. The Rambo franchise is inching close to having grossed over a $1 billion worldwide. Probably by now it has. Rocky has grossed a billion and a half worldwide. And every time another creed movie comes out a bunch of nickels drop into the rocky bucket, if you will. And even with all that, all the money he's lined into the pockets of the studio and one producer in particular, Sylvester Stallone doesn't own not even 1% of rocky. Could you ever think about that? Has it ever dawned on you? I never even dreamed that. Who could ever do that? What kind of business is it that robs a man blind right in front of everyone? For nearly half a century after the character he created, wrote, built up, crafted, promoted, choreographed, sometimes directed. It's not fair. Well, what kind of business is that? That's the business we call show.

Dinesh Examines the Ongoing Feud Between Trump and Musk

"There is a public skirmish going on between Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Which I think is unnecessary and in fact kind of pointless for both sides. But let me describe it first and then comment on it. So this got started when Trump was in Alaska. This was a rally that Trump did for Sarah Palin. But also for Kelly shabaka, who's been on the podcast running against Lisa Murkowski. And Trump began to talk about left wing censorship. And then he goes, quote, Elon is not going to buy Twitter, he goes, where did you hear that before from me? So this is actually Trump being correct. Trump actually predicted that that Musk would give up on the Twitter deal and pull out. And in fact, when Trump said that, no one really else was saying that. Most of us thought, well, Musk is going to want this platform, and even if he ends up overpaying for it, what's it to Musk? I mean, when you have $250 billion and you spend 44, yeah, it's a sizable chunk, but on the other hand, you get to have fun on Twitter, you are the boss. And so this is not I didn't think and others didn't think that Musk would sort of nickel and I am this. But Trump was right. So now, Trump comes back on to say, well, he might later. He's got a pretty rotten contract, not a good contract. So Trump evidently thinks that Musk is over a ping. For Twitter, but then Trump goes on to say he's actually talking about Musk's statement that he first voted. His first Republican vote. Said Musk was from Myra Flores. Another one of our pals, who's been on the show, but Trump then kind of marks Elon Musk and he goes, you know, he said the other day, oh, I've never voted for a Republican. And then Trump says, he told me he voted for me. So evidently, Musk met with Trump for earlier. And apparently Trump says that he told Trump, I voted for you, so that's the case, obviously Musk has voted for a Republican before, and then Trump this, I think, is the unnecessary part, calls Musk a quote BS artist.

Sebastian and Jim Carafano Discuss the Legacy of the Late Shinzo Abe

"We're still gleaming. The facts of what occurred, his body is still in a morgue, but that doesn't stop the mainstream media like CBS attacking the historic figure that is the late assassinated prime minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe. Abe was Japan's longest serving prime minister when he left office in 2020 due to ill health. A polarizing figure he was a right-wing nationalist and conservative and a fierce supporter of Japan's military. He fought to amend the country's pacifist constitution in the face of the rising threat from China. While in office, Abe met former president Donald Trump several times to reaffirm Japan's military and trade alliances with the United States. His political opinions were controversial. Controversial NPR called him divisive, polarizing and pro military. We'll talk about the broader consequences of this tragedy, but Jim carafano, vice president heritage, isn't that just disgusting? Look, first of all, if we learn any lesson from here, why any nickel of government funding of taxpayer money goes to NPR is beyond me. They allowed the memory of Castro and dictators when they die. And they attack the head of a democracy. The reality is, is Shinzo Abe, the historic character. Single handedly, he was the first leader in Asia to stand up and look and say China is a threat to all of us. And they will destroy all of our democracies and they will impoverish all of us and unless we stand together, we will get

Well, I mean, it's a long story, bud. But hey, we gotta start bro we'll just start with Clinton golf real early. At 14 because I burned out and I ended up playing other sports through high school. And then those four years, you know, graduated 18 high school, I was so far away from golf at that point that there was no chance I was ever going to play again. It was just, I was something else. I was a total different person. And so it led me to go out to Montana to go snowboard and sewed my seeds, so to speak, and fell in love with it. And it just time just hit. First little realization, 20 probably you party hard to hear about 20 to your graduating college, basically it was my college career. And then you're like, your dad, or whoever's like, son, you got a freaking step up and you got a figure out what the hell you're going to do. Yeah. And that was kind of what I was doing at that time. And mine went a little further. I was 25. I didn't start playing golf again until like right at my 25th birthday.

Inflation is Cheating

"Inflation is cheating. Inflation is nothing new. Almost every declining civilization participates in an inflation cycle. Copernicus, who is known not for his monetary theory, but instead for his scientific and Korean discovery, he famously said nations are not ruined by one act of violence, like 9 11, or poor harbor. He says, but it said nations are ruined gradually. And in an almost in perceivable manner by the depreciation of the circulating currency, through its excessive quality. It's tempting when you're running a country to want to increase the money supply. It's tempting because it's an easy fix of the sugar high. But it's cheating. And it's lying. Inflation put simply is the declining of purchasing power. It's the rate at which the value of the dollar or the currency is falling. The Roman Republic famously did this by cutting the corners of coins or what was once a gold Roman coin. Eventually became a copper coin. We used to have legitimate silver in our nickels. And our quarters here in America. Now we don't. Now we have some sort of mixture.

Perceptions of 'The Big Lie': Trump vs. Hillary

"Do you believe Joe Biden won the 2020 election freely and fairly? And do you trust in the integrity and validity of California's elections process? I do believe that Joe Biden won the election, a fairly and squarely, but can I say something about that? I know Donald Trump has been accused of fomenting the big lie. If I had a nickel every time I watched CNN and I watched a lot of CNN, I watched Chris Cuomo and Don lemon. And Wolf Blitzer if I had a dime every time they said Donald Trump has pushed the big lie, I could still find my campaign. I want to point out that for four years and counting Hillary Clinton referred to the 2016 election as having been stolen. Her word not mine. She referred to Donald Trump for four years in county as illegitimate. Her word not mine. When the Senate investigated the 2016 election, they made two major findings. One of them was this that despite their efforts, the Russians failed to change a single vote tally. Yet, according to a YouGov poll, a respected poll, 66% of Democrats believe that the Russians changed vote tariffs. One more time. The Senate report found zero evidence that the Russians changed a single vote telling. Now, the politics editor of CNN is a man named Chris Salim. He wrote a piece where he excoriated Republicans for a quote falsely believing the quote falsely believing that there was widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election. 76% of Republicans, he said, believes this lie. 78% of Democrats believe that the Russians changed the outcome of the election in 2016, even though the Senate report could not find any evidence one way or the other. Mostly what the Russians did, as you know, is by a bunch of Facebook ads, some pro black, some anti black some pro Trump, some anti Trump pro Hillary, some anti Hillary in order to just stir up discontent. But the Intel report found no evidence whatsoever that the Russians changed the vote to change the outcome of the election or not. Yet 78% of Democrats, according to Gallup, believe that the outcome of the election was changed by the Russian interference in 2016. Yet Hillary's social media was never shut down, even though she was promoting the big lie. Social media, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook never shut her down, even though she was promoting the

"They play all their games at home. How we never seen them on the road. Never it's never happen. I don't think so. I think you're right star here deflate gate. I want event for dolphins sweeter so angered me because of one segment on. Nfl live last year. When i said ryan fitzpatrick should be playing because it's bad offensive line. Even though i like to. I was right now again even though i have repeatedly said to look really good in the preseason in fact i'm really i was like yeah to like very exciting however the offensive line is still bad and they're taking this to a criticism. It's to a defense because mac jones like this. This game is going to be a referendum on these two quarterbacks and it should not be because matt jones gets to play behind the great wall of china like. I don't even know. If austin jackson is playing. And i don't even know if matters i mean let's let's start their offense like this one the offense the problem it is a problem and that is a fair defense on first of all. Let's make it clear that the best Tackle via lower quarterback plays from maryland. I mean clearly but moving moving on. I mean i to my dolphins. Twitter is an interesting place. Why are you so. I mean they get mad at everybody head. I can't. I can't explain their anger. They've got other things to worry about in south florida but they should. I guess it's not. It's not the safest place right. So they're probably all in their houses angrily looking at twitter looking for somebody to yellow. But i mean to did not lose his ability to play quarterback You had a rough year last year for a number of reasons. A lot of those things have been corrected but the most important one has not been the protection as not been correct. So i think you're right about. It's it's tough to evaluate a quarterback behind a bad office of line but the fact of the matter is we kind of have done it in. Been right most of the time. We find certain quarterbacks that i mean like joe borough last year wasn't good but we're like oh okay. Intuitive flashes that people want you know like those. That's all you want is like all right. We see that there's a problem. We see that you don't have the ability to do exactly what you wanna do. Get through all your re. Make your decisions without being under pressure consistently but in the chances that you you when you get chances to do that you need to do that. And it didn't feel like he was doing that at all last year. And then you have the the unfortunate situation of having to be conveyed to ryan fitzpatrick who yeah. Yeah in justin. Herbert and yeah ryan. Fitzpatrick is like a dice. Shooter who got a hot hand in hand with hot this year people are looking at two. Like why can't he's not willing to close my eyes and throw the ball. So i respect to ability and i respect him for not doing that but he's in a tough spot because it doesn't matter if there's a reason if there's an explanation if the team is built to win and they had so many weapons in their defense is strong and their defense of minded team at least from the head coach so like if it doesn't happen this year it's gonna come down on him and they already so many rumors about them trying to make a change that spot. So it's gonna be tough and i wish that it were different. But that's the way it is gonna to have to at least show some flashes in order for him to be able or in order for us to be able to plausibly point the finger at at some other unit like he's going to have to show flashes of greatness when he gets a chance. We should last year to a lot of those games. He didn't have anywhere close to a full complement of weapons. Right and so now as you mentioned they've got a really fun. Willfuller is out with the suspension. This game but waddle. You got parker. You got mike ezekie. I would guess yeah i love to you. Don't have adam shaheen who try to find the right word for this was so he and jackson were both in the kobe list. Shaheen was the one who i think is like twitter bio is like high won't follow rules or something. Yeah then breaks delay. I think jackson is vaccinated. So it's unclear and also like so. I should mention greg little. They traded for the also drafted mike. Bergen dame's left tackle there. I don't know but what i liked to on. The preseason was he kind of looked like he didn't alabama like it wasn't as easy. Obviously but you all qualities that made us like him in college see accuracy obviously above all things the timing the pocket movement and you know a little bit more aggression which is really what was lacking last season as nothing just schematically. It looks a little bit more like alabama in terms of getting yak opportunities for the wide receivers. Rpo game etc. So i'm generally optimistic about everything outside of the offensive line. My concern is that. I also think the patriots front seven is a nightmare so we should talk about that. I mean it's just do is gonna look after this game unfortunately the weakness of the patriots. Vance's gilmer out. But i don't know if i mean shalem. Milton rooming in his absence. But the front seven is just loaded. Now there is a jackson. go turps. he's okay. Yeah he's going are you. Are you by my newfound love for it actually putting let's just like out of nowhere like what if all know where i'd be like. Oh an non-consumer go husker's even though it'd be like the saddest thing in the world now okay. I haven't been as much a while. i'm excited. I'm patriots front seven. I mean it's funny. We did that. Defensive ranking. I think it was last time we podcasts together. And you and i were both like this. Could be good. But we don't know i feel like i'm drinking the preseason kool-aid of seeing matute on his single digit number looking like a world record and seeing tower seeing you che be like a maniac on every play and i'm all in a mall in on this group. I think the patriots defensive success is something that we always come to expect because they've always been or at least. The foundation of this dynasty has been great defense. And it's always been kind of something. That was a cornerstone of what they've done but also it's always kind of been built around great coverage or at least one great coverage coverage guy when their defenses were at their very best they had guys was gonna shut something down so i guess it puts more pressure on on ballot check to scheme other ways to stop people's offensive attacks because i think that's obviously he's smart enough to figure it out but i think that is going to be interesting because all at front seven stuff is nice..

"I don't know how do you go into the season with this receiver group. Like i guess you just bank on thomas coming back and then thomas comes back and stays healthy and then returns to form because we haven't seen that in two years now because he didn't really he was banged up last year. He was good when he played. But i dunno just becomes a little dicey. I think the one thing i will say is that i like adam trout troutman i think because they traded might also like it was a desperation. I to tighten number one. And i watched i watched as targets to and he had one route that ran on. I might have been dion jones. It was a falcons linebacker. But it was as good as i've seen from a big tight end like that so i think he has something to him. I don't know if it's gonna take another year or two before. He finally breaks out. But i think he's a piece. They thought they could build the passing game around if they had time like. If they had a michael thomas delina on this year. But they're not going to have that. And now i'm wondering what this offense looks like because you made the argument that this benefits this might benefit james more. But i wonder if sean payton just looks like we're not going to have a passing game we have to commit. We have to go wholesale found on game. Yeah i i honestly i like. I'm very steadfastly in favor of james winston right. I don't think tastes hills real. Nfl quarterback but honestly if you made that argument i might buy it like the way to run this off my concern about i guess. My suspicion of that is that tears things hill. Fumbles a lot or like we as much grief as we give. James for the turnovers deservedly hill had the third most fumbles in the nfl last year and he played four games in quarterback. So that's optimal and you got to think that number's going to go up and also i don't. I think the defense is gonna obvious is going to be challenged so it's almost like just go yo and go for the explosive plays and see what happens but again. I feel a lot better about that argument if wide receiver group isn't what it was or isn't what it is like you can see. The thing is more thomas injury you could see a universe in which this offense could actually better than they were last year. Right like silla. Very good offenses lines. So one of the best offensive lines in the nfl. Obviously cameras incredible. And you know you could be hoping that either smoother calorie would break out trautmann again. Being in like number. Three action is like a very enticing. But you take michael thomas out the equation said this on our one of our shows the other day. He's not the best wide receiver in the nfl but he is by far the most important like in any offense because without him. It's just metal ole like if you can be that. He is like if they trade. For james watt seventy yards every week. It's james washington the number one relief zico from being the steelers for two the saints number. One i think he would have to be just by default if before you did any research for this pod and someone quizzed you on like named four saints receivers. How many would you be able to name besides thomas. Drake weinstein's out right. Little jordan humphries on their well come on little george. Yeah but yeah. I mean calloway maybe if i was really like on my game But that's it. It's like you just woke up like an hour ago. You're not calloway wanna throw out like a crazy idea. So let's say they don't trade for dame's washington what about like zakar like go all in on the tight ends. I'm just spitballing here. I'm just throwing stuff against the wall. I'm just a girl that chart asking it to something. Because he wants out. I feel like mickey loomis would be down to do it. No matter what the prices the he's just like a wheeler dealer works. Because i do think they're kind of building this offense where they can have a lot of tight ends on the field. I think that was the plan. Just because of didn't have options at receiver. And i think that gives sean payton enough flexibility where he can like mix and match and go hurry up and just catch based defenses on the field and spread things out. I think he's someone that would wanna do that. So i think that would make more sense actually than a. james washington who might redundant with smith early on the roster. Yeah yes. I hurts his voice and learns skill set. Michael thomas the like you know in terms of like just foyer boys even the chains moving. It makes sense another big piece of saints news. Today patrons retired Which normally would not be a massive piece of news for. I mean i mean. That's that's that's a wrong way to put it. What i want to say is it's not the equivalent of losing michael thomas by any means but because of the depth on the defensive side of the ball it is massively impactful the cap israel folks. And if you don't believe it look at the saints twenty twenty roster and then look at the saints 2021 roster just across the board there are some issues holes deaf concerns and working back to front without robinson now opposite marshon lattimore whose performances kind of dipped off. You're looking at either. Prince amukamara always feel like i've sayings name wrong Ken crawley's there. The guy who drafted paulson deyb. Oh who out of oregon right. Who didn't play last year was stanford. Am i confusing. Pac twelve teams. Okay so didn't play last year. Cj garnered the johnson's law. But i mean it's it's so we're talking about them trading for a tight end or a wide receiver. I think they also need a veteran. Cornerback like the death is just wolf or maybe a second year. Cornerback from jacksonville. Go alon jay henderson be available. I think he fits what they've traded for in the past when they've traded for this position a- corner who specializes man coverage. I don't know c. J. anderson seems to be on the outs and jacksonville seems to be available. I don't know if he would make michael. Thomas available metrics. I think he's pretty untradable based on his contract. Yes it's with the saints. Yeah cap situation. But i think you could make a deal. Where if urban meyer seems to be a guy who decides who is his guide. Who's not his guy in. If henderson is already on the outside. I don't know maybe he's available. But i will say this and this was before the robinson retirement. I had written down in my notes. I i wasn't so concerned about the cornerback. That because they do play a ton of safeties like forget about big nickel that three series on the field. They play four safeties at a time. Two hundred one snaps last year with four safeties and only two quarterbacks. And i think they can hold up garnered johnson. I think is one of the best lot defenders in the league. When you watch him against chris godwin he was the guy that guard chris. God i think chris dodd went only had like four catches against malcolm jenkins is a little more tricky because he is getting up there in age. And how long can he run with tight ends. I don't know he still look decent last year. But if malcolm jacobs can play in hold up in the slot. I think cornerback becomes less of an issue especially if they can swing a trade for a player that can start. Yeah henderson yeah. I think that's fair. I'm also curious to see if there's any changes on the defense mentioned last actually The departure of aaron glenn. Who was i mean..

What's Inside the Earth?

"And welcome to the inquisitors podcast. You know what the surface of the earth looks like. It's covered with mountains and sandy beaches and dirt in the woods and sometimes it's covered in concrete where people have made cities. Most of the earth's surface is covered with oceans but what is under the surface. Is it just more dirt. Could we really dig all the way to china. Science says no we could not dig all the way to china cover. The inside of the earth is actually made of four very thick and very different layers starting from the center of the earth and working out toward the surface. The layers are the inner core the outer core the mantle and the crust. The inner core is a solid ball made of iron and nickel. These are both metal elements that are very heavy. They are also both magnetic. The inner core is fifteen hundred miles across. It's roughly the size of the moon and it's very very hot. The temperature down there is five thousand degrees celsius. The next layer is called the outer core the outer core is made of iron and nickel and sulfur and oxygen. It is even hotter than the inner core. It's six thousand degrees celsius. It's a liquid layer that flows around the solid inner core. The liquid moves by convection. That means that as some of the molecules heat up they rise and as other molecules cool down they fall. This liquid layer is constantly swirling because of the rising and falling molecules. They give it like a pot of boiling water. Bubbling and moving even when the pot is

"The entire route tree what is his durability. And be like there's things that I just have questions with him. I I would be scared to death to take him in the first round. There's some that are very scary for him. Even though I'm not big on the cops. He would scare me in the first round the tight ends you mentioned if he can turn. That's right. And it's now if he can if you watch him if you watch his work out of the combine you watch him on tape, you sit there, and you go. Ooh. That doesn't look real comfortable. But these tight ends are good. Look Fant from Iowa is good earth. Smith is real good Hodkinson is good. Those three guys that could easily see going in the first round and earth Smith in particular. Yeah. Say earth Smith. Wouldn't they he would light it up? He's in New England and the other Alabama player you kidding me again with trends, and they'll wrap it up here because oldest again, if we start seeing all these titans go, yes. It'll be in part because of talent because this is one of the best tight end dress in recent memory, but potentially also it could mean that we see a little bit more twelve which we had worn sharpen the podcasts him, and I talked about how much we love twelve. And how some of the teams in this league has gone in the direction of running a lot of eleven over the last few years, and it does seem like kind of a potential you. And I talked about zig zagging and trust. Let's see more tight ends on the field. Let's get more tight catching. It puts the defense at a severe disadvantage or rather. It puts them in a corner. Yeah. Defense that's been built to stop eleven. Right. They figure out what to do. I put a db on the field and get exposed in the run game. Do I put a linebacker on the field getting exposed in the past game? That's what twelve does. That's let's see Bill was way out ahead of this about ten years ago. And now seems to try to catch up. Speaking of being way out ahead, this podcast is going way out of your schedule. Louis, but I really appreciate you dropping by gotta come back. Absolutely. Many more conversations to be had. "You're right. They can do it all I mean Hopkinson is one of the most complete tight ends. I again, gronk comps are also manned on this podcast. But he is the closest thing I think we've seen that in a while. The wide receivers in this draft are not versatile. They are flawed. I having trouble I think mocking them and analyzing them because a lot of them are really good at like one or two things. But there there's no Calvin Ridley to me anyways, necessarily in Strath. There's a lot of we talked about that offense. I love Paris Campbell might love him. He's exciting football players. But he does thing right. We don't know if he can really run vertical routes in that kind of thing. So. He wasn't asked to do it. Right. So I just think I'm very curious to see how New England goes in terms of the kinds of wide receivers they take because to cut back to our conversation. It's going to tell us something about the NFL tell something about their game plan and what they want for Brady and what they think their offense is going to look like next year. What's interesting is the type of thing that they will that they value in particular that position is the type of thing that you really right now can't evaluate unless you can get one of these young guys and put them on the board and figure out what their football intelligence is. Because that is priority, obviously party number one. Why receivers can you catch? But these guys who play in that system up there in particular have to be smart. They have to be extremely football smart. And I promise you that is high on their list as far as criteria. When you're talking about what kind of players are going to go after and whether or not they think you also have the requisite physical ability that would warrant them drafting you in the first round. And second round, look I, and I don't know what's players they feel that way about. But there are some players, you know there. There's wide receivers who are gonna come off the board in the second and third rounds that are gonna wind up being good players who are going to be good players for teams that they feel good role for that they aren't necessarily as you mentioned all around number ones that can do everything. But they do bring a specific skill set that a team needs relative to what else they already have on the roster at that position. And sometime in that that's the beauty of team building. Right. That's the beauty of the second third and fourth round is you're talking about guys who may maybe excel at one thing. But that one thing will be awesome and will contribute to wins for a football team because they have other guys we can do other things and that and look and they're not going to go in the first round because they don't have that all around skill set. And that's fine. There's only maybe one they're really only maybe one or two actually there's only one wide receiver that I believe can do it all and he comes into small package, and that's Markey's Brown. But he's at just because he's smaller it isn't. Because I can't do it. All. But he he is the, Sean. This kid if he stays healthy. And that put is okay. That's the com. Yeah. He is legit decay Metcalf. Look, I'm not sold it. It's it's different with him. He has one skillset get in the outside lane as the excersi- wide receiver and go run S. And then go up and take the ball away from you know, other take the ball away from defensive backs, you treat like he's like, they're, you know, his little brother because he's just so physically imposing, but as far as running routes running.

"That's right podcast. That's true keeps coming on zany oliveri minds. No, no, no. I love it all over those not let not allowed to anyone. That's right. Those are the profiles at you're looking for and then in order to protect your passer. What are you going to start looking at you're going to start looking for guys like quitting? Nelson. Because now you need guards and centers who can protect. So that's how the game is always point counterpoint point counterpoint went, and it's not the same as it used to be ten fifteen years ago, and that, and that's that's refreshing to me because as being a former safety, look, I remember back in the days where people thought look, you're so replaceable. We don't really need. See we could find any stiff the put back there in the middle of the field. And it's not like that anymore. The game has changed dramatically because the rules have dictated that they do change. And this is something you see in free agency to write everybody was shocked this year when the safety market exploded. That's right because there was just so many of them. It was it seemed like given supply and demand and given pass transit wouldn't happen. And then boom, these massive contracts come out, and I think largely for the reasons you're describing some of these trends have been in place for a while. I think if you look at some of the DB's taken early last year Derwin my beloved Darren James last year, I'll let you guys know this year is at mink f it's Patrick multi purpose versatile DB's, and they're in a lot of things. Here's the other thing about those positions to that isn't the can't be measured. On a stat sheet. These are the communication positions. These are the these are the guys at the hub of everything that is going on as far as communication, right? So the quickest way to lose a football game isn't because you don't have a guy who's good or whose fast or the quick way to lose a game is to make a mistake as as to be on not be on the same page as your teammates, and you need smart players at those positions. And that's why I've always said I would have overpaid. If our the giants if I was the giants for Landon Collins because of the fact that he is someone who has a front facing player that the players listened to and respected and the guys who people listen to respect those are the guys you wanna keep you just don't let walk out the door. And we've if we can circle auto all the way back real quick to how New England does it. Let me just tell you this. They will take a lesser player in terms of height weight speed vertical jump for a guy who will do it consistently over three and a half four hours harbor long game takes in not make mistakes. They will take that guy. And they will sit the guy down. Or send the guy down the road who was bigger faster and stronger, but who was dumber and who will make mistakes. And that that you know, what I promise you this Bill hopes that the league never changes as far as how archaic they wanna be with their thing. He hopes it never changes because he could coach forever and he'll win forever. He will trust us to see who New England takes in the Strath. It'll be someone who you don't on. Yeah. Well, we last week. Join Anderson, I did a mock. And he troll ish -ly gave them Andy Isabella which joke, but why was he resisting? Because that is obviously into the New England the other piece speak. They did add Mary's Thomas on it. You know, absurdly cheap contract. It's New England. What's new, but the that is they need pass catchers there, and I'm very curious Lewis to see how they go in that draft because we've been talking about versatility and players you can do a lot. That's the tight ends..

"So what I mean is. What I love about the draft. It tells us about one positional value and a lot of that. It's after the first round because you see a lot of best player available. Then you talk about team needs. But it tells you about strategy. It tells you about how we view positions, for example, a guy last week who didn't I don't think we ended up mocking him in the first, and I felt awful about it is Dexter Lawrence out of Clemson who I think seven years ago could have been drafted in the top ten honestly. But because of the way offense is played now. Because of the way defense is played you know, he's not going to be on the field enough. I think to be drafted as high as he would have in the past or positional versatility right now like because defensive play so much nickel and dime. You need guys DB's you can play multiple positions. You can do a lot of different things. Offensive line, right? Because of the nature of passing games left. Tackle, right. Tackle aren't. I think there's the delta between a value between those missions has changed. So I guess I just had a bunch of things. But I want to ask you. In one type of defense a little bit with you, which is sort of your bread and butter what characteristics? Are you looking for now in defensive players? I mentioned a few of the ones I think that are taking that maybe people didn't I guess have evolved. Because of the way the NFL is this. This is a great great question one. We could do an entire podcast alone. The. Yeah, the game has changed a ton it like the way in which teams attack both offense and defensively has changed. Let's say ten fifteen years ago. Okay. Middle linebacker safety were positions that were after thoughts because you thought you know, as long as I have good corners and good outside players and good pass rushers. I'm good. You can find them. You know, you don't ever draft middle linebackers high. You don't have to pay safeties. Because these are the guys who are interchangeable you can find them bargain-basement guys sitting out there on the street late rounds free agent types because you just need corners, and you need. Pass rushes. Well, the game has changed. Why? Because the rules have changed the rules are set up now. So where there is no more. There is no more enforcing an intimidating players in the middle of the field anymore. So teams attack in the middle that field with speed and versatility putting wide receivers. Putting hybrid tight ends in a number two number three spot as far as wide receivers. How how you line them up in attacking between the number. So what do you need? Now, you need middle linebackers, and you need safeties inside linebackers and safeties and nickel corners nickel safeties who can run who can cover who can tackle. And those positions now have increased in terms of importance. That's why you see those those positions being drafted higher and higher in order to counter what is going on offense. Because of the way the rules are. So you're seeing guys, you know, like roquan Smith year ago, you're seeing guys like Devon Bush Devon white who are going to go. Hi, ten audibly because these guys can stop the run, but more. Importantly, they are fast, and they can cover that area between the numbers. That's why safeties are at a premium. That's why guys like Tyron Matthew who's really six position player. We're not talking about the draft. Now, we're talking about free agency..

"I think. I think three of the four deserve to go in the first round for lack of a better word. I think one obviously going to be is going to be debated. And there's many people who don't believe he deserves to be a first round consideration. Obviously that being Daniel Jones from Duke. But look Dwayne has Cuyler Murray. Drew lock. Yeah. They deserve to go in the first round relative to what team needs arm, relative to what I think they're ultimately of side will be. Yeah. I do think they deserve and having looked at the rest of the guys in this draft. And who was likely going to be drafted in the first round. Yeah. I do. How do I have them ranked look Dwayne Haskins my favorite quarterback in this draft? And then after that it would be Cuyler Murray. Then would be drew lock. Then it would be. Oh, boy, I guess I guess Daniel Jones would come in that area. Finley come in that area. Judge did em would then come in that area around there. So I would I would start grouping those guys together because they all have their deficiencies, and they all have their strengths. But Dwayne is number one. For me overall. I'm I'm really. Puzzled and I've talked to some people who I really respect in the scouting community who are puzzled as well. As to what it is with Dwayne that seems to be right now putting an anchor Lauren his draft stock and supposedly it is falling. Although there are some people while also known leakers say, well, he was never really ranked at I Lewis, and I'm going, well, how come you don't have them rank that high well because he has limited resume, and you know, the offense at Ohio State was just so good in the players were so good. It was easy form the because while also you're penalizing him for running an offense. That was actually, you know, maybe much better than some of the posing defense as he went went. And he played with good plans. You're going to penalize them how about the context with which he performed within that offense. How about how good is feed or how good? His accuracy is how good is his decision. Making is how about that. How about those kinds of things? But see, you know, you know, whatever scouting is very nickeled wants thing. And it's very subjective. Tough. I'll tell you why I like doing by. The way. I I think it's insane. That lock over him. What we're starting to hear now. And I think that having gone I've I'm caught up on the quarterbacks. Now have watched a fair amount of their tape that I find that in most. So I have respect for the scouting profession overall. I will have to say though, there are some scouts who are scouting right now and people who are making decisions in offering opinions about the ball players here at the highest level that had no business offering opinions making decisions about players at the highest level, quite honestly. And that's a fact, and so when I hear when I start hearing some of that I wish this was an R rated podcast. If I want to start hearing some of that stuff, I just kind of go, you know, what just knock it off. I mean seriously, and it sound for Haskins to me is just so indicative of the worst kind of NFL scout arrogance maybe or the Noche drew lock in the minds. I think of folks who performed Haskins based on what we've seen is. Is unformed clay. And there's nothing some guys in the league. Like more than looking unform claim saying, I can turn that into Michelangelo's David right arm talent right gets thrown out. And it's also easier to say, okay. Well, there's this. We don't know. How drew lock didn't have a great actually he did have a really good offensive line. That's kind of whatever that's neither here nor there. But you can point to guys like locking Jones say, well, we don't know how good they can be their situation. Andrew luck only. His only issue is mental. Right. He can make all the throws..

"I mean the question I would put out there. I mean seriously is when pet Mahomes contract comes up. I mean think about this. But right now the chiefs are limited sorry Cup wise right now. I mean, they are really having to pick and choose who they pay and they're and they're having to let go of some people who they like, but they just can't pay them. All are you? Are you telling me that the Kansas City? Chiefs should just go ahead and say, well, you know, what? Because of what they can't do what the rest of the roster. They can't afford to pay Pat and homes and just let them walk is that what you're is that what be we're going to say that they have better chance of success without him and strengthening the rest of the roster than they do with what's going to happen. Forty million forty five million getting thrown out and then the silly talk. Well, the number, but you know, what the salary will go up, and it'll be able to love it by that time with utilizes contract is going to be a massive bargain. And that's the thing that that's the thing. Generally that I really struggled with his do. People understand the salary cap is going up money is going on player salaries are going to go up. It's it's not going to stay at twenty million per year. Okay. The guys can't make twenty million per year for the next twenty years and have that be fair market value? It's not the way it works. It's not an beside. That's not your money. So stop worrying about it. Unless I'm pointing out that was his contract was like, I guess I wanna say like ninety percent of the cap in twenty twenty two and I was like you understand how mathworks right like this is not a fixed number. Just gonna go down. It wasn't as contract. I'm just gonna throw this. But I don't I don't really want. I want to move onto the next thing. But. You know, we alluded to earlier this counter argument that the Seahawks run the ball on ever run sector offense, and you really wanna pay your quarterback that much money. You know, what that run Centric? Offense depends on guys. Russell Wilson making miracles happen on third down look up the statistics. They're insane. If without Russell Wilson, even you it's not like, you could just drop Joe schmo. Internet run center Goffin's, and it would have been as efficient. That's absolutely absurd. When I'm to spend time talking about it. I want to talk about the draft a little bit and quarterbacks in the draft with you. But before we do that. "You know, whatever, you deem is being the range with which you know, he needs to be paid. If you're not comfortable paying him there. And you think that you have another alternative that will give your team a chance both short term in long-term to be better. Then I'm all for the go ahead and do it. Go ahead. That's fine. I'm just saying as an overall blanket philosophy to say once a quarterback reaches upper echelon status, you just gotta let them go ahead and walk down the road and find the next guy because of this will hamstring your team as far as you being able to get other guys. I think that that's ignorant. I don't I don't think that's true. But if if the Sokoto bears of Matt Nagy feels as though look I can do better. There's someone I can get my hands on who was going to do better. Who's going to open up our offense more give us a better chance to win regardless of where where we drafted Mitch in regards to the fact of how important this position is look then go ahead and move on. I'm all for it. I'm just saying case of Russell out. It is. It is good. It is. But you don't see that takes confidence in your eye for you know, being able to evaluate your own on it. It takes confidence in your eye to be able to evaluate people on the outside who you're going to bring into your organization. It takes confidence in your ability to extract. You know, the best play you can possibly extract for them from them. Once you get once, you get them that means that you have to be confident in what your own program in which your own teaching protocol is the strength of your coaching staff to strengthen the players surrounding this kid. It takes confidence a lot of things in quite honestly, I think that that kind of sums it up for me. I don't I don't think people really have confidence in their programs, otherwise they wouldn't constantly be looking for easy ways to try to. To try to construct football teams in ways in which they could, you know, I guess this cover their rear ends and say, look, this is the way things people are doing things right now. This is the way I'm going to do things. And if it doesn't work out, I can just point to the fact that well that's the trend right now. That's the way. And and that's what seems to be happening. As far as quarterbacks discussion. The trend is an in the prevailing wisdom is in the narrative is you have to have a young quarterback in that way. You can destroy money at the rest of the roster and you increase your chances of being successful. And it just it's not that simplistic, it's not it's case by case. And as you mentioned with Mitch Trubisky. It's going to be that's going to be a very interesting case because I think that could go either way it really could go with them. I I mean, I think after the season if he's stays at the same level of play lost your he's a young guy. So I'm not, you know, who knows they should definitely at least draft draft in develop. They will be entertaining other options. There's no there's no question about it. If he doesn't and as far as like this veteran a conversation. I think you're right. Like it is on the team to draft and develop around the. Veteran and there's no better example than this things who again should have been in the Super Bowl last year. And it's just so funny how these small sample size in the NFL dictate. Our how we talk about trends when the right call is made. And it's we had to veterans..

"Easier. But it also increases your margin of error in terms of play right? Because I look at that Super Bowl who is a limiting factor for the Rams the quarterback. Okay. I look at the bears a team that had they gotten above average. Not even great above average quarterback play. You might disagree with me. I'm curious down that final stretch they would be in the Super Bowl. Mitch Trubisky rookie contract. You know, the reason it was. Oh, yeah. Rookie is totally built around them. He was the reason they did not make it to the Super Bowl. So there. This can also be a limiting factor. Having a quarterback in my opinion. It can be I will disagree with you a little bit with the Chicago Bears. Only in this way. Look Mitch in the game against Philadelphia on the last drive of the game that he drove him down the field and put them in position for them to win the game. He he made some throws late in that football game that were spectacular absolutely spectacular. That made you go. Okay. Those are number two overall pick in the draft type of place, those are kind of place that we needed to see all year long. Now, I will say that during the season there were things that he did. Or didn't do that could have been better that obviously the rest of the team kinda had to pick up the slack four. They had the play great defense. They had to play. Great situational football and special teams play field position, football, etc. Etc. And had to make up for some of his limitations. But I would say that the reason I wouldn't say that the reason why they didn't continue to invest in the playoffs was him. I mean there there's a number of different other reasons. But I, but I, but I get your point. I understand also I I I know me too, especially considering the same draft. Look, Pat, Mahomes comes out in the same draft picks later. So that's people are going. Whoa. Wait a minute. Now. Wait, so I get I get and as far as the Super Bowl since Rome with with Jared Goff. Look there were many games. "I N A give it a shot ZipRecruiter smart sweet higher. I want to talk about this sort of anti paying a veteran contra or quarterback mentality. That's really I feel like stronger than ever right? So so we're really talking post two thousand ten CVA here. That's really gotta look at this time period. And and so people say well like look at the quarterbacks so wants Super Bowls only occupied this percentage of the cap and first of all as you aptly pointed out football's an extremely for random sport. Right. There is a million. I mean, Matt Ryan should have a Super Bowl. And he was on a veteran contract. Like, it's not his full. I mean, so you can point to examples. Cam Newton new may the Super Bowl was on his veteran deal by then Tom Brady skews everything in this conversation. We cannot have a conversation about trends in quarterback pay and team building without. Acknowledging the fact that Tom Brady's on a contract that is extremely anomalous. Bright and totally throws off the conversation. Now, here's the thing. I don't want to jump in here. Real quick. All right. Yeah. He is on a contract that is that is very much so team friendly and allows them some flexibility, but look at the rest of their roster. And you tell me where you know, overall one through fifty two where they're signing guys to record setting market-leading contracts and just blown out their salary cap in every other area because Tom affords them the ability to do that. They don't do that this is very much. So an economically driven football team that emphasizes development coaching strategy accountability. Football intelligence the team that you know, the some being greater than the parts and people forget that they think like the patriots are going out there signing the kinds of players in the to the kinds of contracts that like maybe the Rams did. Last year and trying to acquire guys like Marcus Peters and keep to leave and dominant sue dot. They're not doing that. This is an economically driven football team. That also has a quarterback that's on a very team friendly economically driven contract. But the the key to New England is when people their their push back in their response to this is while there's only one Bill Belichick said, well, you know, what? Yeah. Bill Bill is unique. We're we're going to recognize when he's gone just how unique he was. But I'll tell you this. There is no salary cap on research and development and coaching and coaching development. Dislike there is an and see Bill is someone who really much really believes in that. He someone who invested in himself. It's something that really owners GM's right now should be spending more time trying to perfect that aspect of their team building operation, even more. So than thinking that they are geniuses that can always identify a player like no one else can because look you can't. All right, you there's this something there's this. There aren't things that you can see as a GM that other people. Aren't seeing the key the competitive advantage is what you're doing once you get them. And when people start realizing that more and more they'll will they will start. I believe start seeing more success as far as how they're able to construct their football team. If they do have a franchise quarterback on a franchise salary. And until then that narrative that's out there right now, we'll continue to be out there, which is I gotta have a young quarterback. So I had the money to pay everyone else. And I'll just hit on everyone else because it's easier to hit on everyone else than it is to hit on a quarterback, which time has shown you in history has shown you that's not true either. Which ironically, the Seahawks kind of pioneered posts CBA with Russell Wilson's contract. A lot of this sort of flows from their successively the belching thing because it drives me in the same way. That Tom Brady's contract. Completely skews the quarterback pay conversation. I feel like bell checks existence. The way he does everything described skew it bothers me so much when people say, well, the patriots value this position and the patriots are doing this. You can't just copy the patriots. It just it drives me nuts..

"Of Rolodex painting. Champagne today, wearing the gazelle clown shirt. Speaking of troll coaches is he the pettiest goes in the NFL, but pettiest coach the NFL or what's good question. Sean Payton, he's super high up there. I'm thinking because he the pettiest Tom Coughlin. It's kinda Betty in different way than one by the way that showdown true. Sorry. We're kind of getting away from the game. I'm not apologizing for this. I think at this point like I think if you're the Rams you're gonna have to do something in the side, if they're going to get the grantee of your partner the way where we comas gonna begin enough. So I think you have to maybe if it's gonna be gronk on the spot. Maybe you give to leave the slot drops. If it's going to be element in the slot. I think maybe you see Peters. I think the either either Donald has a great game of the parish great game. And the patriots just don't have guys getting open 'cause Brady's getting hit or the changes because the Rams are going to be static. Like, it's just too easy to pick apart. The Rams blitz slot. Not really. I think they might blitz. A little more. I'd have to look it up. Yeah. It's brady. So I'm not gonna like I wouldn't say. Yeah. Blitz Brady lot that seems to work out. If you were Wade Phillips, what would your just hoping that game because that's the worst or most feasible possibility in the world Aaron Donald just goes off. Yeah. Get settled team everybody out. It's more to me. Navan conch SU have great Dame is the deciding factor in a lot of these batch offices teams have kept Aaron Donald off the stats sheet ramps are twenty point five percent. Which is the twelfth lowest in the NFL. Just a little below the guy. I guess I always think of like playing the patriots. Okay. What are you going to give up? Like, what's the one thing? We were like, you know, what you can do this to me. I would say give up the deep pass. Don't you don't really have to worry. And I say that. And I'm sure Bryan Rams three yard touch the patriots. And the Rams the Rams defense versus a page. Your worst is the worst NFL against the past. Which is fine. It's not fine. It's bad. But as far as this matchup, if I'm thinking of like, what are the things we can acknowledge a we're not great at and that's fine and pick your poison. They're on the ball. You really think? So I mean like. They're going to run the ball. Well, it's not gonna be fun. But I would rather I'd rather let them run for five yards. A carry them throw for eleven yards past the tent? That's true. And I'd rather trust that we're gonna get one play in a series where Donald is gonna shoot into the backfield for a loss. I had fryer my show, and he said almost exactly the opposite a lot smarter than me. So I'm inclined to listen to him. And I'm hearing his voice echo. What my brain is. I'm saying this, but I just I wouldn't want. I don't want it the bottom ratings hands. Like, I want to dare them to run the ball. I kind nickel I wanna share them to run the ball. And I want to trust that we have a great defensive line. And that's gonna stop there. I think it's okay. If they run the worse, the nightmare scenario is like that like eight minute drive. That's like fifty percent runs. Fifty percent like seven yard passes to James white. And that's what I see playing out in my mind side. But that's you know, what I mean. And I just don't think the Rams can fall by. Hey, guys. I didn't know if you heard this really not good. If your team Paul's behind. Who who do you think Santa win? England. I think the patriots are gonna win so obvious anyway. I tried to write it. My call them to have it be even think it closed like I think it's gonna be is it we're gonna be at the patriots have never won the coupla at Super Bowl old of lots of every single Super Bowl. They've been and it's been close so weird. It's an eight games. Yeah. They haven't everyone of those games has been either a tie in the fourth quarter or leachate in the fourth quarter or both. Well, you know, saying likes to people guessing and not know that he's manipulating things happening earth..

"Went ahead. And then late in the fourth quarter. Then Michael Thomas toasted Marcus Peters to kind of seal it that was a close game with six seven minutes left and game was Tigers. But this is a different Rams offense. Now, I think in the sense that their confidence and running the ball against the saints. And it's certainly a different saints defense to leap without in that game that which I think will be the community room pretty significant. I'm very curious. I mean saints offense. You know, what we saw in the first game was basically, Michael Thomas? I think breeze Thomas right now is the most potent quarterback wide receiver just like yours. Making most efficient most I don't like recalls Horder to defend in some ways. Right because he's such a physical marvel in. We didn't really talk about that with versus the patriots, man. But like on the very curious to see how they handle him because you saw that first game two pats had Gilmore just go one on one on Keenan Allen. But again, tyreek hill, very very different case. But Michael Thomas. So drew Brees. He's so perfect for breeze. Because of what breeds does now in who he is a quarterback in twenty nineteen which is you don't throw date. It's not going to happen at this point. I think that's it used to be a thing that was kind of whispered about that can breeze. Really he can. By the way, even the way they're the way, you know, that is, but the way they're using Ted Ginn. Ted yen's catching the ball fifty yards down the field one. Instead, Ted Ginn is catching crossers and things like that. And they're trying to use his speed in a different way. There's there's your tell. Yes. And I mean, if they've the hell Mary tasting hilts throwing it, right? Like, no question. But speaking of trolls days at home, the human embodiment of trolling. But Brees is still extremely efficient accurate into Tori in the short and slightly degree less intermediaries of field. And that's where Michael Thomas eats. So I think the same secondary has improved a lot. They were very good against the eagles. Apple in particular was excellent. When she say. And Lattimore obviously had the huge game Teijin plays. I thought von bell was very good row. His name a few times. Like, what do you think? I guess do you think this is going to be a similar saints offense? Are we going to going to be a combination of trying to establish a strong run pass bounce early on? Plus, Michael Thomas, or do you think they're going to try something different against this Rams defense? That's been sort of up and down all season. I think the saints are going to through a combination of runs and quick throws. This is nothing new across the NFL, including Kansas City. They need to find ways to get the ball out of breezes hand, either by turning around in handy to somebody or swinging it out to Kamar or getting some just some rhythm offense really quickly because I'll tell you what if there was something that kind of defined the uphill battle that that game was for. For the New Orleans Saints against the eagles where your home favorites? Eight point favorites you get down fourteen to nothing. I mean, they were climbing back into that game the entire time. And to your point about the way their offense works, they weren't just able to take these huge chunk place. The problem was and it's something we discussed with Kansas City New England Philadelphia was able to gain pressure with their front four. I got a real problem right now with the idea of Andrews Pete being even at all partly responsible for slowing down Aaron Donald with a broken hand. That sounds terrifying to me Donald again young legs in the playoffs. That's why I thought the colts were dangerous is terrifying. Donald is the personification of dude plan. Young man football. He's got seventy three pressures this year twenty and a half sacks again used to. Oh, well, now, you're going to double team at what point was he not being double team is double team sixty plus percent of the time. It doesn't matter. It just means somebody else's getting free. So. So I think the saints have some of the problems that the New England Patriots do and that I think it's going to be really difficult to slow down the interior of that Rams defensive line again. This is nothing new. But I think it's Zastava baited by Pete status..

"She's defense is. Yes. Those guys. Chris Jones has fifteen and a half sacks and deform really good year to go along with Justin Houston. If those guys can't get home. I mean. It could be it could be ugly for the chiefs defense. Yeah. And you know, it's funny. I watched that the match up in the Houston game with interest 'cause you're right though, offense line completely own them. Everybody was sharing that Quentin Nelson Mago. But really, you know, and he was great. But really jumped out of me was Brayden Smith the he was a guard and they've moved him to tackle own JJ watt entire name. Like, they're really good. They're well coached. Schematically? They do a lot of things to try to take away. You know, you the the opponents best player. So they're in Annapolis going to have a game plan for Chris Jones and deformed, and but that unit is playing really really well. And if you get Andrew luck that much time in the pocket, he he's deadly. He's deadly. He's accurate, and he has weapons he has, you know, argh Bron and T Y Hilton. He has other you know, all the guys on outside. So this this bears watching that matchup between the chiefs diva salon and that colts off it's interesting and just to wrap this up as we go through all these matchups. How many of them actually the colts have an advantage in? I think but. I just can't bet against Andy Reid after the bye. I just can't with that office. I I don't know. I mean, what about you who who you got in this game? I actually got upset are the colts. New it. Reid is phenomenal know if there's a coast better read, I don't know if there's a coach in Andy Reid after by he is phenomenal after by twenty and four one four which is unreal. But also know that the colts are on fire. I now they have momentum coming into the postseason coming off a big win against Houston, Texas on the road. This team is very confident young Andrew luck is playing great. I'm picking Colson his game. I like it. All right. Let's move onto the next game. Cowboys out rounds. All right. So before we talk about the Cowboys, and we will I wanna talk about the Ray M's because we've been having this conversation. The last few weeks of the season. What happened to this Rams offense? And then did they fix it in the last couple of games against pretty inferior opponents? But. Basically what we saw from. I think for about three or four four three or four game stretch starting with Detroit game was all of these defenses sort of figuring out..

"You've gotta steal a possession from an offense that wants to do that. So I I'd say that start on defense like you're right Ingrid Ingram and Boza haven't been as effective sacking the quarterback. But in this game. I don't really think that matters as much as trying to find a way to get home in the run game in really jar that like make them think twice about his safety in the run game. And that was my resolution for Lamar my. This this last game and was ball security and it again with an issue against the Browns the puzzle at the goal line. And then at the pitch at the end, you know, so that's continues to be an issue with them. And you gotta defense. I think that's laser focused on exploiting that all right last game. That bears. Meena that was by far your best one. And I think it's because we've got to particularly fierce mascots. Yeah. I was channeling them. And also, you can't see this. But I was making a really gross face as I was saying. And I think it was one of those things where like I was channeling my physical appearance into my boys. Thank you. I appreciate that. Gross. Mascots fierce mascots. I think this could be a really ugly game. Like, I I don't know. I just I so this is the most lopsided matchup, according to Vegas, and I and I think that's fair. But I could also see it going either way I could see a lot of I could see a lot of weird stuff happening in this game. And you know, let's start by time at the weirdest team in the playoffs is that fair to call Philadelphia. The weirdest thing in the playoff. Yeah. Because I don't know. Right with Nick foles. Who was okay. The last game. He wasn't. He wasn't great. But he's definitely been been good enough. It's funny though, like. We're talking about foles attributing a lot of the eagles success of the season when it really is about their players much, and if not more and to me watching eagle. I was struck by was just into being kind of an inside out team. There's a team that wins in the trenches on both sides, and you and you all you know. Michael Bennett that be the line look like they did last year. But then you all an offense of line looks inefficiently better. You know, Peter's lane. Very t in this game, we clue MAC and cheese. And they just look a lot more than they did. I think now it's interesting because I think in the the game against Washington Fletcher Cox had three sacks. And when I looked down the stretch of the season, like Fletcher, Cox on the interior has been the difference. Even when they were going to go back against Dallas who I talked glowingly about their offense of line. Like Fletcher, Cox was giving everything he could handle Zack Martin in that game and got home and got pressure. A few times in that. He's such a difference maker on the inside. But this is also a bears team that I saw the other day. Someone from pro football focus tweeted this bears offensive line. That's given up the fewest pressures in the NFL. Now part of that is certainly an offense of line that I think is improved. But it's also met Nagy in this offense have schemed it in such a way where you're not putting them at risk as much for that. You're not putting as much of that on them for a young quarterback and Mitch that we know can make guys missed with his feet, but not even giving up pressure. Like that to me is also the nature of. This offense as much as anything. Secret of do you have is the scenario which has been burned by injuries? They look in recently glisten medics acquires a better law that is because it's been fine. So getting pressure, which all the secondary stuff friend..

Nick foles Fletcher Cox Browns Ingrid Ingram Zack Martin Lamar Mitch Boza Meena Nagy NFL Vegas Michael Bennett Philadelphia Washington football Peter Dallas
