"Filled with sentimentality and passed down from fathers to sons. The game represented america's today. I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the if baseball represented the birth of the american sport. The game of football was its baptism. Although team oriented the game was about power and it was violent. Baseball may have been an hour block but it was in the game of football where americans found their spirit however by the end of the twentieth century. Another american sport would come of age. Unlike the two other major sports which were firmly rooted in east coast acculturation rich and american myth and lore. The game of basketball has always been regional. New york. Basketball is different than indiana basketball. James naismith invented the game of massachusetts. But don't tell that. To kansas kentucky every region has its own way of playing its own quirks on style. And that's what makes the game great. No other sport allows for that kind of expression basketball games ballet or resemble. Boxing just depends on where the game is taking place no longer regional. The game of basketball now belongs to the world and right now. The center of the basketball world is in downtown. Los angeles where a battle for supremacy is taking place between the two. Nba team. That call this as franchises. Go the to los angeles teams could not be more different. One has won the nba's western conference thirty time taking home sixteen world championships boasted. Twenty seven hall of famers and has retired nine jersey. The other is the los angeles clippers. The clippers could not only be the worst franchise in professional basketball but all professional sports. It is an organization whose former owner had to be forcibly removed and boasts the league's all time lowest. Winning percentage. the clippers have never been to a western conference have never had a hall of fame nor have ever retired a former players but for the first time in the organization's. La's other team isn't showing the heartbeat. It showing clenched fist. Because if the staples center represents the center of the basketball world than the center of that center is the man who helped build the dynasty of and is now responsible for building one to cobbling derome allen west. You will more sound byte just for context for the audience. Can you say my name is sherry west. And then and that's up to you how you'd want scrapping many with and just describe yourself for the audience as quickly or as for both as you want math. I'm an old mother fucker. Okay okay. i mean. I don't have talking about myself guys. I don't know your title for the clippers. No we can't fuck fuck it. Hey do you man do you. Hi i'm jerry. West longtime basketball player longtime executive. Very proud of my association with los angeles lakers for numerous years. And now with the los angeles clippers working for steve bomber hopes to change the landscape of basketball in los angeles. It's perfect curriculums. Come on paul. i'm not taking you fucking. Here's your well obviously to me. I don't think i'm the lakers favorite person anymore. But i'm not. This is not about the clippers unrelenting the lakers from their pedestal. That will never happen. Historical greatness of the lakers for years has been remarkable but for seven straight years. The flippers had the best team in los angeles. What i'm watching always tried to be objective. I don't try to on one team better. Than the other clipper fans will never be laker fan. And laker fans are never jerry. West loves basketball and it has been the better part of his life for seventy years but the underlying and defining characteristic of that loud and the singular driving force that he believes is the cornerstone of every business. Hobby and pastime in americana is competition and this is a force that has possessed jerry west for his entire life. I fucking hate. I hate giving in to people through thank are smarter than other people. Life is about competition the most competitive people play the most competitive game. If you're not going to be competitive don't do it as perceptions go jerry. West isn't your prototypical. Los angelino born and raised and kano county west virginia. He's straight laced modestly dressed and quiet but a closer look at the man and the city that has adopted him reveals that his spirit. And dr o are as much a part of los angeles. Hollywood itself jerry. West has always been in nick matic because of his background. He was raised in an abusive household. Moreover he's a white dude who excelled at a black sport. He grew up in the country. Now he lives in los angeles and in a way. La is really a city for outsiders which is why he has been so revered and embraced in the city of angels. You know i think in my life. And i can explain to you folks better. I grew up like a dog very much. Like a lot of people i played with. You almost feel disenfranchise self. Worth is always a big issue huge issue and you go up feeling like you know. Fuck i'm gonna get hit today. And whatever i've done nothing wrong and in your own home a homeless supposed to be a place when you're going up a place where you feel safe. You're hoping for some guidance and encouragement. While i never saw that in my life okay so i've been defying all. My life probably have never changed. Having spent the first forty years of his career as a laker. And the last. Three clipper jerry. West has become an icon for fans of both and a personification of the phantom thread. That runs through this city and the sported loves one that include both the old and the new one that has managed to bind both style and substance and one that has weaved the tapestry responsible for the seismic shift in sports culture from the east coast to los angeles. I was born in l. a. Nineteen eighty six at the height of the showtime era. This is a basketball town. But it's not a basketball town without jerry. West the clippers and lakers play in the same building but they were never rivals. The lakers would the class the league. The clippers were laughing stock. Another jerry west is with the clippers building a contender. not only. has it become a rivalry. Now it's personal and if you talk to some fans like comedian george lopez. It's.

"Trump realizes that there are like thirty people on his side listening to this conversation thirty people on Ukrainian side listening to this conversation mutation and yet he still he still barrels through which makes me wonder you know obviously and I'm going to get to the the elephant in the room here in one second but it does make me wonder when he had that meeting with Putin and he was alone. This is what he said. When sixty people listening sixty so he believed a small small nightclub worth of listening to this conversation he had a studio fifty four dance floor covered with people listening to what he was saying and he still we'll just rolled on with this exact with the with the exact phrasing that he admitted to using and Giuliani has admitted mid that he used a Rudy Giuliani by the way was scheduled to go speak at a Kremlin sponsored event but he did pull out it just just pulled out because literally really even for Giuliani he's like I think this makes me look bad is a bad look. This doesn't make me look like the hero that I screamed that I was speaking with the Atlanta headquarters clearly the here it is unbelievable so donald trump talking about four hundred million bucks in military aid to the Ukraine only only if to Ukraine only if they help him politically is truly a complete and utter misuse of of the office now the elephant in the room at any one. You know everyone knows this but it's not being talked about. I was watching Lawrence. O'Donnell Lawrence O'Donnell was literally literally looked at the cameras like Republicans used to have time to choose another nominee and it's like donald trump is an eighty eight percent approval rating within the Republican Party. Absolutely there is no way he is not running for reelection. Donald Trump understands that if he does not win reelection he has charges coming from the southern district of New York and he needs to win reelection in order to potentially attention avoid jail because at that point after his second term if he would ever get we'll talk about poll ratings here in a second the statue of limitations on those charges from the Southern District Bjork. We'll have lapsed and he will avoid all punishment for the many illegal actions that Donald Trump has committed but the elephant in the room of course is the Senate right so we have a Mitch McConnell Senate. Let's just say the house does end up. Passing impeachment which is extremely possible wants Nancy people. OC says we're we're all in. That's basically all the moderates are moderates arenas well once once. Pelosi goes when you get. Pelosi onboard the Democratic Party will will impeach Donald Trump in the house. That's what I would predict again. Mitch McConnell is the head of the Senate and as we have seen time and time and time again it is very possible if not one hundred percent likely. Mitch just simply won't take to vote so we have a situation where I think some of the American people are looking at this and I think it gets a little bit of the lead out I think it let's a little steam out when it comes to people who want to see Congress do something when it comes to the illegal actions of president but then we also have people who are like is this what we I need right. Now is a country because we have kitchen table issues that need to be addressed I would say and of course knowing that it will never pass the Senate and my thoughts on that is fine with the house doing this but I want to see the presidential candidates mainly Elizabeth Warren stay focused and stay on task the Best News that Elizabeth Warren got this week was that Wall Street donors said they weren't going to support her yes and if she wins the nomination they're going to support trump as if they were not going to support trump anyway when the curtain closes behind them when they're alone in the voting booth whatever the till their wives or their children or the grandchildren or any of their rational friends they were going to fill in the little dot with the our next to it so the idea that somehow that is bad bad press for Elizabeth Warren is insane that is exactly the press that she needs. I was talking with Marcus and Henry. Obviously with last podcast on the left after you know and that was like the only thing that we want is to have focus on the family James Dobson send out flyers being like last podcast of leftists. I believe that is the best some having an enemy. Yeah is actually a good thing. What is the correct enemy. When is the proper enemy the enemy that proves your authentic in your beliefs that Wall Street is too good for too long and they have made money off of the suffering of people in this country. I mean look no further other than the housing bubble burst then you know what's going on on a regular basis when it comes to private prisons core Civic Gio grip when it comes to the amount of money that can be made when an economy collapses is like unreal. That's when you buy when you buy up all your stocks. That's when you get in low and you know what's going to rise up and that's why the economy constantly goes up and down at feeds the beast so when she didn't get that announcement or when when the Wall Street donors made that announcement. I'm like that's great so as long as Elizabeth Warren continues to talk to the American people and don't let the sideline because again people want to know. What are you GonNa do for them. I think this is fine and I think that people are also going to say okay. This is the job of Congress. This is the job of the House of Representatives. They're doing their job and I just want to see the candidates focus on with their job is which is helping the American people well. It's fun it. It's funny that this is the thing right. This is the thing that that Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the modern say okay. This is too far. It's this one thing we've had in the mole report alone. There were ten hin like impeachable offenses and this is the one the one with Joe Biden being harmed the guy that is in the club the club member getting getting threatened by trump to sort of letting them know like oh he can do. He can actually do this stuff to the rest of us and he will do this stuff to the rest of us so this is the thing that you you like. You're going to this. This is what you're going to pull the the lever for is is the the Hunter Biden stuff well. It is not a coincidence in the timing is not a coincidence either. I believe that they waited as long as they did. so that when the impeachment does go through when they do end up taking a vote it's going to still be fresh in the minds of the American people as opposed to what happened with the Mullahs report which flamed out before the Muller report art was even dropped on our proverbial laps. Yeah I mean by that time we had heard about it ad Nauseam for two years press a lot of mainstream media sources I think over bit on some things under sold on others and by the time it dropped. Everyone's like we know this yeah and so like the blow was already like we've been taking little punches for so long. I'm numb like I'm numb to the Miller report as it hit like all of us were like yeah yeah we know yes and what would have just not been talked about. Ad Nauseam for two years and then when it hit it'd be like Oh shit okay. This is very compelling. So I think the Democratic Party as a strategic point wanted to wait on impeachment and again Jerry Nadler has already been doing basically impeachment proceedings for a while now within his committee ever since they won a in two thousand and eighteen and got a lot more our power so that is why I believe it. This time is the right time in the minds of people like Nancy Pelosi and it is possible if Donald Donald Trump does somehow win reelection that the impeachment proceedings hang over him and he ends up having a Richard Nixon like moment although I do not believe that like Richard Nixon Donald Trump would resign and I don't know if like Richard Nixon the Republican Party or members of the Republican Party would put country over party. I don't know maybe a Ben Sasse. Maybe Lisa Murkowski who ended up voting against Cavanaugh maybe the more moderate maybe even a Susan Collins although I don't have much faith a faith in Susan Collins but I think it is possible that some more non trump republican senators would say okay. Let's take this to the floor. Let's take this to avant or WanNa vote and perhaps that they would go in the way of impeachment but again at this point in in an election year with Donald Trump's approval rating through the fricken roof within the Republican Party. I'm not sure if we have anyone courageous enough in that party you to turn their backs on the president at this time. Nancy Pelosi's reasoning apparently is this is the story line that she thinks she can sell to the American people and slap in slap impeachment on it which okay. I guess I mean I. I honestly don't see why this is anymore impeachable than everything else. He's done so far it again if they if candidates can stay focused then I think this is a fine step but also just going back just briefly. I mentioned if Donald Trump gets reelected. This is a stunning poll number right here. September Eighteenth Two Thousand Nineteen Donald Trump's approval rating is at forty four point three percent and obviously you hear that and be like well yeah you kind of need to do better than that to win reelection sure but just a little bit of insight on that Obama's average rating in September eighteenth two thousand eleven was forty three point nine so then we have the other question going forward. Does something like this galvanized support for trump who loves to have a boogie man who loves to have a punching bag who loves to have some entity to fight and were in this situation because Congress has had on a good day fifteen percent approval rating within the American. I people right so donald trump is at least triple that so the question is that and we'll see how the American people respond here with polling data going throughout but the question is will this galvanize people rally around the flag circle the wagons in defense of trump or does it do do that for the left circle the wagons rally around Pelosi and the Democrats and whoever the inevitable Democratic nominee will be in in two thousand sixteen when trump was still like an almost like a an nick matic novelty. There were people who said okay..

Donald Donald Trump Nancy Pelosi Republican Party Senate Mitch McConnell Congress Elizabeth Warren Lawrence O'Donnell Democratic Party Rudy Giuliani president OC Ukraine Putin Joe Biden James Dobson House of Representatives Hunter Biden Richard Nixon

"Side is the original authentic townies pork belly bow and so we did that and once cats got a taste of it. They're like holy shit like it's not just roasted pork or hoisin sauce into cucumbers like this is you raised it for three hours with all the spices races and if feels like what we eat at home and you know i was like you know we are very it's like david chang story my like. I always see us as like <unk> interesting story. He's from more than virginia to do and we're just different like he talks a lot about like not wanting to be korean in rejecting a for a long time like i know how it feels because it's tough to be asian in america growing up later sometimes is you're just like fuck. Why do i have to be an alien. Why do i have to be different but like that trip to taiwan. My dad took me on just made me proud and i was like i'm never going to deny this. This is who i am and i'm going to tell our story here and like the older. I've gotten the more i've watched his career. I watched ugly delicious like you want our show. I came home and i did chinese new and my mom cooked then. I see him go home on his show like thanksgiving and his mom at first i saw a use unlike your in my laundry but also also he may see it as like you'll will. I did this pokemon thing and you were in by laundry short and so it's like game recognize game like once. I washed ashore listener. I'm like yo we are two brothers that like really were faced with a similar problem in a similar issue growing up in this country in the same place around the same time of end like does just to pass and you know now and so i respect him and i really like i really enjoy following his career now and i love. I don't necessarily love the show ugly <unk>. I have opinions. We just different like i have opinions about his restaurant. I have opinions about a show but what i love is like i'm very interested in him as a person and so it's been in cool to see him open up and reveal his life to people because i think he's been very in nick matic character and like the two dudes on television that i find interesting arouse. I watch his show and i watch donald glover on atlanta you know and like i just feel like you know atlanta's masterful. It's incredible. I don't know if ugly delicious pushes is masterful like four people hosting the episode but what i like his when dave reveals who years and you get to like see him struggle with identity and and struggle with values with food and i i think like he's a really interesting dude i._q. Will always be interesting to people. It's interesting. I think in a lot of stories like having an enemy or even just one comp- direct competition ends up being extremely valuable piece of someone's success because that was the thing that kept you pushing you have something to measure yourself against always be trying to one up and it's almost like you look back at it and you're like oh damn that forced me to do all this the shit that i might not have done you know what i mean. So that's interesting that maybe he played that role in the restaurant part of your life yeah and so the restaurant when you first launched got incredible feedback as ing like yet it will it was like it was like the port bond wars because he was the hottest number one chef in new york city and and people were just a he invented this thing and i came out as a nobody i not worked in any newark kitchens only worked in orlando and they were like who the fuck is kid. Okay that's like his should socks and like was doing his own version and bringing this authentic taiwanese bow downtown by. I think my greatest innovation was that like i treated the restaurant like a skate shop..

"On hang on. That's that's Gallos remind it's late. I've had a day. It's one of those things where also I think if dream state down for a couple more months even a year he could become the absolute face of the company they could give them a run with the title. And then when you need to do a call up to kind of shake things up. That's when you can bring him in and kind of have him be a spotlight for that. I think if you call them up now, it's just hey, it's a guy from annexed heat is supposed to all right. So who's winning? But to me, it's it's dream. He just got the bell riddle. I think I think riddle could lose this match, especially in a weird way. And it's not gonna hurt him at all. Even if it's, you know dream kind of outsmarts him just. A little bit you can drag this on a little bit longer in have, you know, riddle try to figure out a way to beat this and Nick Matic star because right now riddles kind of gone in and just had his way with whoever he's fought. I think he needs a challenge. Mega who wins velveteen. He's just he's too recent with that belt, and like riddle, I think they need to slow down on here little bit. He needs to hit a Waller wins. Who wins fell visine? I feel like it's gonna kill his momentum. I mean, I agree with that riddle need to challenge velvety needs a challenge, you could do a longer term feud with these two because they are such polar opposites and what I don't like what they do with dream, especially with all his other past interests. It's called him that is kind of a one and done. You don't you? I think the only extended one was probably Alastair. And so to have him have a more long-term few get. Him on TV more hit riddle doing something that will be really good. So to have drained beat riddle would really rattle riddle. And you know, maybe we get something a little bit different other than the borough. Well, let me tell you something borough say, yes. So I don't see reason to take the title off of dream. He's doing fine with it was the longtime coming for him, and maybe the holding pattern instead of him. Going up is him getting the the main titles. They wanted to get past Gargano and champion once I got past that, then they could potentially move people around. But now with the whole Champa situation there been kind of sort of forced to play their hand a little bit. And here's my pick that riddle for that reason because the dream is going for the main belt going forward. You put middle with North American title that have dream. Focused on the main title. I'm going riddle. They're going ape ball is velveteen dream winning tomorrow may rely on it k- final metal lone.

"He enters the building. We're talking about bars restaurants before he goes into a bar. He's got a team that walks in and like metal detectors the shit out of the room and make sure there's no one in there. How fucking do that. He's not government employees. He's just a fucking private citizen with a lot of money. Yeah. He's fucking. He goes to restaurants that often right? Right. And then. Yeah, they, and they they probably welcome it because he probably like ten million dollars. But I'm also when he gets a new doctor his team that's the ever living shit out of the doctor's personal life and like their history their Bank statements same thing with instructor. So if he gets a new personal trainer goes to a yoga class or spin cycle class the entire class has to wait for him to have his team of thug. Shakedown the instructor and ask them like hanging over balconies dangling by the feet. Like, just a spin spin class teacher, actually. Saga? Does seem guy who needs like fifteen instructors. He just doesn't know how to live life. So. Yeah. But he doors all of them he has all of them. But he hasn't listened to a God damn thing dance instructor again that. That. A fucking instructor fucking for shit. He has armed officers on constant guard outside of his gay to bury a homes for his family as I mentioned before. And one of which is one of which was houses is rumored to have a panic room. According to business insider report, I'm gonna go ahead and say all of them have panic rooms every single room. It's one of them that movie with Mark Wahlberg where like the shades come down. And it's like what was the movie? He's like a stalker. Panik revere, fear fear. Yeah. We're talking about the one date night with him fears where whole the whole set. It's just a big panic like Wilson, it's just like the movie panic room, right? Yeah. Just like him. He also personal drivers. But the best part about that is that while he's in the car, he has a security team monitoring traffic routes, and they'll like adjust the route if needed or if if something looks shady going on mission impossible movie exactly he thinks it's like precinct seventeen or like like in the movie heat. When the dumpster truck like comes out of nowhere and sideswipes car. He's so scared of almost people every every homeless person kill them. Oh god. I don't know. What is deal is? That's a little bit over the top. He certainly doesn't have to worry about any dog fuckers or extreme racist attacking him because his company is a friend to those groups real safe-haven. Fair point fair point Carey, well, stated Kerry, and then Stephen Morgan not a fan of Berg's either says the strangest takeaway from the story, though, isn't what Facebook does to protect sucker from stalkers and potential threats. It's the company's efforts to protect him from Facebook employees themselves who aren't even allowed to take photos of the Nick Matic CEO. But please remember Facebook entitled to use anything you share and will personally crap on your privacy rights. Good point, Stephen if they took care of our data like they do Mark Zuckerberg with probably won't be as many breaches. Yeah. Yeah. Fair. Fair assessments all-round that guy's kind of smoke. "Everything entertainment Colleen Lindstrom Bradley trainer because we got to get to the bottom of this situation. Let's get that Cobra game together. Ooh. Around you. So what the heck is this egg? Okay. So you were gone for the experience. There's gonna be a lot of Eggy ponds. Sorry, everybody. Who's anybody knows about the Colleen? It's this dumb egg on Instagram that is now the world record holder for the number of likes forty two million three hundred and forty four thousand one hundred and twenty three likes. Currently this egg has which beat out the original holder on NC's of Kylie jenner's. Eighteen million likes? But I don't understand. It's literally just an egg. It is. Who's is a gang. Egg gang. Yeah. Yeah. What else are they to tweet it nothing? They have six point two million followers. One post in the post is that of a simple farm fresh egg mean, we think it's a farm fresh egg for all we know it could be some sort of alien creature. I don't know. But anyway, looks like a farm fresh eggs Brown sparkle or as Holly called it. What did you call it yesterday? We're going to revisit that. Yes. Faculty is the thing which sounds inappropriate. We found out an urban dictionary. It's when you have moles on your Weiner. So anyway, family friendly family friendly egg. It's just a plain old dumb egg. And it has. What did I say forty two million likes? Now, the reason we have the Cobra gain here is because we got the Cobra gang together yesterday for the first time to try to understand where the heck did this eg come from? Right. Did you figure it out? No. But kind of not really at all, but we've got some questions. Anyway, we need to go back to the story. So again, just to set this up for you, some dumb account got forty two million likes a world record far and away a world record blew out previous record by over twenty million likes that means twenty million individual people and or people with accounts on Instagram went click on a blockbuster bag. Okay. So on its face that sounds like a fascinating special interest story, you know, lifestyle tidbit that they throw in at the end of the newscast in other news. Villa is the most popular thing in the world popular, more popular, Holly van more popular than the highest rated network television show of two thousand eighteen that would have been Roseanne more popular. Megan Kelly, more popular than make also person in the continent of Australia. Like the photo it still wouldn't be enough. It's like almost double that at this point. And how did they do? They just were like, hey, this eg. So on the face of it sounds like a fascinating special enter or like, a cute little off handed story. But then you start to think about it. And that's what we do. Really? Well here on the Colleen and Bradley show, we take the absurd. The mundane. We say to herself. But wait why? But wait, there's more there's more where did this dummy comfort will then probably a chicken? So then I see a New York Times article, and I go okay now, we're talking the New York Times is on it real journalists. I understand that this is important for people to understand. And the article says an egg just a regular egg. Is Instagram's most like posts ever, okay, tell me more. So I get in. It's like Bob at blah booboo. It's an egg, Bobby blue. That's it. That's the egg more than thirty five million accounts have liked as of Monday when it was still gaining at a rapid pace. We don't yet know who posted the egg on January fourth why it was posted. Or why this attempt to set a record actually worked nor do we offer grand perspective on why this happen sometimes the while of the internet just bends in particular ways. And in this case it decided to land on an egg, wait a minute. So the New York Times went to print with an article that basically said. Anything you'd like to know about the egg turned down the New York Times. You know, this egg is to enigmatic for us. Nick Matic for us. We're not even gonna do are dumb job over here at the New York Times because we're so busy no fence. They got a lot of other stories to tell. But like of all the people that could tell the story the New York Times, it'd be the one because somebody was okay. Because you say again, it's just a dummy. They had a dumb idea a bunch of people liked it. What's who? Make this more than it is Colleen how many times have you. And I tried to go viral a good, Jillian cow. And of the times we tried to go viral. You gotta remember that we have an entire communication platform at our fingertips. We've got an internet web like a website with huge traffic. Yes. We work for a like one of the largest media companies in the market. Yeah. If not the largest television stations radio stations internet media digital sales blob Louis have stuff that we don't even know what we have. We got a lot of ways to help us. Go viral. Has it worked ever never never even made up a blurred? Thank you. The bitch. How'd that go you put on a t-shirt? We did. And it still didn't go viral fair and say it so that means that works. But again, my point is an an account that we.

The last couple of years, I'm not seeing any cool water tech there for these reasons I'm customer investor and. All right. I don't think so guys that really react to. David as far as I'm concerned, I'm out on both fronts because I feel what the idea didn't change with progress with the and that's what the pig pen supposed to be about. I think I'm just like I would love it. If it was more of a like, I said, I don't think people have time to or will be motivated to reach to get into their own coffin. I don't call it a cough. So yeah, I'm I'm making a ham. So I'm going to have some ham. I think what I'm gonna do is like a hand. I do a ham very very well with Pam some cheese on top ham stuffing. You put cranberry. No cranberries for Turkey. I believe like a like the most that Jeff mentioned a grey Poupon or some sort of Dijon glaze. I haven't quite well, we're we're talking specifically about the traditional Turkey. Michael, I know your family's a little more reformed these days. Well, no, we're doing a traditional Turkey, but just a ham as well. The ham is well, very nice. What the hell's that supposed to mean? What do you mean? What did you mean by that? I don't think we knew that. You are also doing Turkey. So I think it was a famous. Flags that most people don't fly. All right. We'll tell me about your idea. "Can always get heads or tails until you need it to be tails, and then it comes up heads. And that's what happens. So I said it gives me. Great pleasure. Introduce you for the very first time, Mr.. And MRs Freddie, Krueger. Just turn your neighbor and say, that's my pastor. This is truly what I did. And and and everyone laughed, and I wasn't sure why. And terra if you know Tara who I would just call her wonderfully. And Nick Matic said to me and said to me again this week when I saw her that was my favorite part of the ceremony. So I guess I guess it's all good. Think about how many times we're in a position where what's required of us is the right words, just being your place and say the right words. Well, you know, I really don't like to say the right words just be in your place and say the right words, say the words that are needed to be said good words in season. Even if repeated even if formulaic making note of this so in their report card will give you a great here in just a minute. Greetings, must occur. How can you get around? The fact that every single time the Holy Spirit inspired the scriptural author to save these things God wanted these things said, and what do we learn from the fact that these things are said over and over well, first of all the apostle Paul we don't know his heart. But he was a very strong leader. We know that for sure he couldn't have done. What he did? If he wasn't strong and heat. May have thought I'm the one who's writing? The holy spirit's inspiring me to write this. Why don't have to put down? Timothy, and Silas all the time. I mean, they're here. They have jobs for sure, but they're not doing this job. No, no, no, no, no, no every time. You will mention your ministry partners every time in the Holy Spirit impressed that and he wrote it down, and those names included again, and again, and again, and again, and again are telling us every person matters every person serving Christ in this church. Most of whom will never stand on a platform. Most of whom whose faces will never appear on a screen come on lift up, your voice and say, every person matters, every person matters, and in a culture where celebrity is celebrated and destruction of celebrity is also celebrated we want to learn and be reminded every person matters. Just do your job whatever God's appointed. You do know better people. No lesser people. I love it. Paulin? Timothy have to be included. Paul and Silas half to be included. You have partners. You're not doing it alone every person matters. And then the thing after it Grayson peace from God, our father and the Lord Jesus Christ slightly reconfigured in different epistles. But always there ever present telling us that these kind of words words that we would call dearly beloved now, we commit your body to the ground and your spirit to our Lord Jesus Christ to await his coming. These are the cadences of our lives where we punctuate the things that matter most. Small talk says I am not too busy or important to give you the gift of my undivided. Attention. That matters. People matter reminded me of this quote from CS Lewis, I've used it before it's dear to me. It's from mere Christianity where CS Lewis said this do not imagine that if you meet a really humble, man. He will be what most people call humble at least nowadays. He will not be a sort of greasy smarmy person. Who's always telling you that. Of course is a nobody probably all you will think about him is that he seemed cheerful intelligent chap who took a real interest in what you said damn. If you do dislike him, it will be because you feel a little envious of anyone who seems to enjoy life so easily. He will not be thinking about humility. He will not be thinking of himself at all love that love love that. All right. So ready for report card score yourself one through five give yourself one would be you're probably going to take. This course again next year. Five would be excited to get the report card and graduate on small talk, ceremonial speech. Greetings, must occur. Five is always patient. Never hurried always open to others. Never closed. One would be are. We still talking about this. How long man pastor James doesn't even have a sermon this week? He's going to stretch this thing forever, man. I got the point go onto the next thing. Can we just move on? If you were thinking that give your self a one. And no we can't move on. We need to slow down. Not my best thing either. And make sure we really have it. People matter powerful repeated needed words matter, and we're not wasting our time to take the time to stop and say them. All right. Well, the festival owners you're gonna get straight A's here. That's their first a greetings must occur. Check Paul is modeling then this. Gratitude must overflow notice. He says in verse three we ought always to give thanks to God for you. Brothers. As it is right because your faith is growing abundantly. Let's take that whole and save the end of her three for the next point. We ought always to give. Thanks there. It is. Gratitude must overflow overflow.

"Neglected to mention that my West Virginia mountaineers stomped Baylor last night Thursday night football, fifty I think it was fifty eight to fourteen all that mattered is they won by fourteen for me. That's all the mannered. Oh, you bet on them. I loved them yesterday. I felt so good about West Virginia. I got to watch some of that game. That was great. Great to see the mountaineers doing well, and they're gonna have pretty decent basketball team as well. The big story. Now, that's sort of dominating the media are the bomb packages, and they are so enigma. Attic to say. The least. I mean, I think putting Nick Matic would be better than dangerous volatile or anything like that. Because nobody understands it's now being tied to Florida as you heard Chris treatment talking about it on the news. With a return address of Debbie Wasserman Schultz. This is almost a joke. If it turns out, these aren't really deadly bombs. They frightened a lot of people and everything. So you can't really call it a joke. But it's just a ridiculous thing that somebody's pulling off here. And there are so many aspects of looking at it saying now, let me think would a Republican do something like that. When it's going to hurt their chances in the elections or would a democrat do it to make the Republicans look bad. What do you think? It's really tough until we find out more details here, I could see a democrat just a regular person not somebody that this major political figure. I could see somebody doing this to try to cause this chaos and make it look like the Republicans are doing it. I could see that. But who knows in this divisive society that we live in? This could be anybody. Almost like a joke with a return address of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and they are linked to south Florida will remember after nine eleven people were getting on blow to with Arabic letters in it and stuff. So if somebody if they're big people were doing eighteen years ago, it could be somebody just out of the country just a Russian Middle Eastern and Arabs in these. That that that the Russians might be doing this? So there you go. Trying to impact the elections. The only way I could see this happening and yesterday at caller pointed to this none of these explosives went off so either this is somebody or, you know, Republican has no idea what they're doing with explosives, or it's a democrat that didn't want to actually inflict any harm on these people. So he made faulty explosives. Yeah. And they're saying that most of them are incapable of exploding that they just start all of their packed with shards of glass.
