"You order your order. Your shake shack. Everyone's going sir. If you don't mind. I'd like to talk to the weasel. That sounds very british was. Yeah i i was in a small village. This theater was on the grounds of a manor house So there was a there was a popcorn container. Filled with mushy peas. I think that's only order put in the order went over. It's it's kind of chaotic pickup. I the i felt. I felt bad for the workers because it's very very high traffic location. They're kind of scrambling there. There's a shelf for online orders. Some places have that's clearly just been discontinued. They don't use that anymore. So like i went into one went over to go pick it up and they were like no. Please just wait outside. we'll call your name. It was like okay fine. Everyone's very nice. They did forget a couple of things in order they forgot. At least she's she went back and got those on the also forgot. Our side of sh- of shack sauce was not included shack s. h. a. c. k. I should clarify q. U. newly did say sign of shit by the way you think i order side of shit. It's nearly said side of shit. That's all i was saying. Do you think that was. Maybe the issue. That's what i put it in put in. The app clearly doesn't want that. Don't even charge them for it. Whereas my side of shit. So as we got the that was rectified. I got the shrimp burger. Which is they. Don't have like a plant based patty. They're they're vegetarian. Option is a schulmberger which is a crisp. Fried portabella mushroom filled with melted. Moonstone cheddar cheeses. Very very gooey and topped with lettuce tomato sauce not a lotta shack sauce. I should say very very lightly. Light amount of or too hot honey fries which are supposed to be dusted with our hot honey seasoning and served with avenir a male sauce. It did come with avenue saas but they were just conventional fries. Which is fine probably. I would've liked them more than the ones with the hot honey dust or whatever the fuck that is but it was. It was definitely a kitchen air shack sauce. Gotta get yourself some set aside shos also got the i mentioned that jesus christ which we got the i got the i got fifty fifty half lemonade half iced tea. Kim to the nick wider Which is a third lemonade. Two-thirds icy. And then i also got the cherry pop shake which is vanilla cola frozen custard handspun with real cherries and popping candy. Kind of a pop rock zing topped with whipped cream and cherry caramel candies overall. Maybe someone else got that to go. What will you say overall. The shrimp burger is amiss for me. I just don't like it. I don't love it. I love the i think the the combo of the portobello and then just the the monster cheese taste honestly kind of rotten. It's a little putrid. I don't. I don't like those shows flavors together the texture of it is okay. But it's not the texture. I want a burger like like. There's so much resistance in fast food to just doing what. Burger king did so brilliantly which is like we have the whopper. This sandwich works. We're going to make this exact same sandwich with a with a plant based protein. We're just gonna make the impossible oppor here. You go and you know what this is perfect. This is exactly what someone who doesn't eat meat once. Give me the fucking shack burger. Gimme the roadside double with a plant based protein and also. There's this other thing. I feel like with chef driven fast food places. Where or fast casual places where there's some resistance to having just using the beyond the impossible protein they wanna like we have our house made veggie patty or whatever they could put that in the fucking trash with. Your house made ketchup. Gimme the thing that's been engineered by in a fucking lab that tastes like a good Chrome of the real thing..

"What do you call him. Ufo catchers yes yeah the claw machines which are which are. I got pretty good at i. I'll i'll say but the and then some of these things have quest involved and others are just of there. For funsies like there is just the array of things available. There was a point in this game where it's just like here. You can fish. And i was just like a fucking coarse fishing in this god damn game. There's just absolutely everything you could imagine. You could do interactive piece of software. And so there's that but the main game play is combat based like the main thing is. You're either cure you. Who is one of the dual protected. Heather mentioned who is who is a very buff. Bruiser type a brawler of a dude. The strong silent type and then there's also a jima who is a much more of a kind of a spike spiegel from cowboy bebop like a slithery sort of. He uses evasion more encounters more but but like so much of it is just beating the shit out of an endless array of thugs of various sorts. I did not play team humor that way at all. I was like oh. This guy's got a baseball bat. I'm going to unlock everything for the baseball bat. Also it was deep into the game. Where i'd until i discovered that the weapons that you equip can be used in combat. I thought they were just changing your stats. And then i was like it's crazy to me that i can buy all these weapons and not actually use them and nowhere. In any tutorial that i experienced what was it like. Press down on the d pad and you can use the sword that you have equipped c. Because as. that's interesting to me. And i was saying to this saying seen this before we started recording. I think what's going to be interesting about this. Episode in this game is particularly. I think we all played it in a different way. Because i didn't by a single weapon one time in in this game at all. I didn't do any of that. How you finish the main story. Which i have not done yet. I'm thirty six hours. Deep in this game. I still haven't finished the mainstream. I wanted to circle back to. Also we were talking about the time commitment of this particular game and like yes how long to be the how long to beat suggests like it's like thirty plus hours somewhere between thirty and forty hours we started. I wanna make it perfectly clear. I think we started playing this game a month ago. Like we like we were like. Let's play that as our next game. And that'll be one that we do for a while. He had banked up a couple. And we'll just play that over until we record again and now we're recording it. I think maybe three to four weeks later. Yes spent. I've spent six to eight hours on the cabaret club many game on. Its own right because i am. There's so much to go for it. Neck was going to say we should. We should talk about that because it's so so the two. The two protagonists got cure. You've got medina. And they are. They really kind of parallel each other. In that they are both exiled from the accusa. For various reasons one gets exiled within the narrative. He leaves the accusations because he's framed for murder that carry the other is has been exiled already as the narrative begins and the job he has been given is to manage this cabaret which is a thing that i am not as familiar with heather. I think you have maybe ben to one of these. But it's like a hostess club where there are women who are basically there to just a company patrons so like you're you're you're you're there you pay money for drinks and then women come and sit with you and just make conversation with you and one of the two protagonists manages one of these organizations that to the organizations ultimately so i haven't been to a hostess club but i have been to. I mean it doesn't exist anymore. I think it was called queen dolchai or something like that in near akihabara and it was a cafe where they serve drinks and maybe a little food and the hostesses were women dressed as men who were giving a boyfriend experienced to women who didn't want to be to feel threatened by actual men so like the what are they call hostess and butler clubs or something like that like. I think that the guy wants if you're like an insecure woman would go and these dudes would be maybe a little intimidating to. You hadn't talked to a lot of guys. But what like we. for instance. Wait what are you. Are you the one the club saying i'm talking. Yeah no that's not. what would what's wrong. I think. I think that would be a really great introductory experience to a man for a woman would be nick wider on that. He's like he's like a low tier right lane. T- yeah yeah i. Yeah so. I went and you you get a drink in. My japanese wasn't good enough to have full blown conversations with these women dressed as men who were supposed to be boyfriend. But i did watch a woman come in with a gift for her boyfriend and they unwrap the gift and it was a sweater and it felt like i witnessing like a high school you know like a like a su- behind behind the track and field high school moment of birthday and the host went back into the bag and then came back out in the sweater and the girl blushed and ran away. that's amazing. Yeah so cabaret clubs are like a place you go at. We're hostess club. Is i guess please. You go where a woman sits down with you and talks to you and you pay a ton of money. It's like what do you call it. Escort services right. But there's there's not necessarily a tacit understanding that there's going to be any sort of sexual contact. It's just like we're just hanging out. It's literally paying someone for their company as my understanding. Isn't there like a documentary about this called. Like the great happiness space or something. Let me hold on. Let me look at happy space. Yeah the great happiness space and that's specifically about the japanese side of this except the great happiness space tale.

"An indictment. I had a really bad wendy's experienced recently wise. I i think. I talked about on talked about on the pod but i just had a terrible wendy's experience where the food was shitty and they got the order wrong and then the soda machine was. It was spinning out hot soda. There were like this like the guy in there was like it's like the coke is hot. There was like it was like spitting out opco off the new wendy's compliment. Yeah right now. This is on. This was in in in quincy before i left the that wendy's was falling apart the one on newport avenue. Is that why you left the that motivate. I told you that's why i came back here. Is that the wendy's opened up again. I say i don't know why this look. I'm not rooting for any restaurant. Chain restaurant to shut down because they see it in employs. People like my good friend who i met my gray hit. The window seemed like a nice guy. But but it's that sort of thing why does exist. I don't under. I don't understand like this. This place really sucks. And i can't make if they can't if you can't make a bur- a burger a hot dog and was like i. The kids in there did a great job like it was hot. It was it was hot. It was what it was supposed to be. There was nothing wrong with it was just actual ingredients. Were bad it was bad. Like like i said my fish sandwich was the best thing i got it was crispy and put like still just the factors of the ban in the lettuce. Just didn't taste good nothing. Nothing really tasted good. So i give the kid. Five forks love the kid and i give i give bacon zillow versus versus a monster. Ele i give that five forks. But but man the restaurant itself god one point seven five forks wags. Wow one four three times. The ice cream against does ice cream. Bring it up to to know. I think one point seven five forks but there's nothing to be the ice cream there's a soda basically it comes out of the thing and then they put some graham cracker on top for you. There is no no there would have been really hard for them to boost the ice cream. Yes you're right it it it is yes it like a i was. I was impressed with just being like the only edible good thing i had their. When it's a machine and a lot of these places should be able to just serve soft serve. That's that's decent. So you're right. It was it it one point. Seven five is is the realm whitson. I would maybe go lower. I mean it is that you're you're right that can coke. My coca cola was good even that even that slushy wasn't great. I mean like it was just. It just was fine. Nothing nothing nothing was nothing was good. Sounds like did you need to drive out there to baldwin park. Find the kid enrollment. Some computer programming classes. Get him out of there. You're like a kick his ass which you're just going to be like i see something in you. You've got potential does you. I bought you some classes scramming. Hey kid you want to work for the dope boys. Oh how what baldwin park. Also get zero forks thank you wow stoorikhel neighborhood but honestly i felt like i saw stray at one point and then i and i was like looking for it and then i thought i saw in other later and i was like i gotta get out of this. Th there might be strays running around. I'm gonna. I'm gonna be looking for strays all night long. I don't know. I don't know what's going on and baldwin park but next thing you know. You're playing trombone in the brian setzer orchestra. How'd you end up here. I know baldwin park baldwin. Park is like the spot with felt like when john malkovich gets spit out of being john. Malkovich like if that spot was a town. That's baldwin park. There's some good food and baldwin park but oh yes but it sounds like rallies and checkers. Not one of them. Is that one of those options and now and it is. It is like the gutter from being john malkovich. I agree which is by the way that was. I'll take full ownership over that as somebody from new jersey. they're making fun of new jersey it. Yeah he gets speed there which is yeah baldwin. Park is the home of the first in and out burger so there you go so it has a little bit of fast food history as well. I will say i i went to. I was location. I thought was pretty good The you know you talked about. Why is this place exist and nine hundred locations. It's huge. there's a lot of locations across the country and growing their on the path to a thousand. I think part of an isn't that just their operating expenses are not particularly high because they don't have an indoor dining room they just it's just a drive through and walk up only so. I think that that goes a long way the franchise. Va look this up. It's it's twenty to thirty thousand dollars to open one of these. That's pretty low as fast food restaurants. Go usually it's it's it's you know very often at six figures or or more to open one of these these ones you don't need a lotta startup capital to get one going. So that's maybe why. There's so many of these i had an okay meal. I would not go back. there is a vegetarian. I probably wouldn't go back there. If if and when i started eating meat or fish again either based on your two experiences but i do think the sides were pretty decent and i didn't touch on my classic vanilla milkshake as i like to save. Manila is a flavor and they had a good vanilla shake. it was. it was totally fine. It was right up there. With like a carl's junior hearty shake. I remember the novelty of rallies as a kid i remember when the first rallies opened and in lakewood california and they remember the season fries. Like having these like. Oh these stack up. Pretty well against jack in the boxes. Curly fries so i have a little bit of nostalgia attached to it but not a ton but overall i don't know a disappointing outing. Just not as disappointing as your guys experiences. So i'm gonna go a little higher in say. Now what am i. Why am i giving this to forty four. I'm going to be the handled and club with a spoon. I'm gonna say one fork three times. Walls is what my rallies experienced checkers and rally's experience deserves. I was thinking of a scenario. Where like being john malkovich where you crawl into the thing and then you're inside nick wider and just lets the fucking fucking boring day. Everybody no one ever wants to go back in. Yeah this guy sat in in like a chair and not even screen and and you say you say like i know you're inside of me and i kind of like him. Tom sharp laying the book is it never ends a memoir with nice memories. Thank you so much for doing the show. Please tell us about the book aiming to plug. I thought i watched the whole series last week. You're confidently telling me that. I think i've seen almost all of them. Maybe i missed the tokyo one and then text me one minute into this movie going. I've never seen this movie. Never once in my life it was so wild so okay. This is the second episode of the fourth season. Ten episodes. we're gonna cover all nine movies along with. Yes i saw the shamlan. Who's on first that lasts one line. That's is it about a white person who went to the beach too long they got. It became a skeleton. what is it about. it's it's stolen. Dvd players which there is there is a guy named mid sized sedan in it. There's there's a a rapper named mid size sedan. Technically ruling a new movie that is that is that there is a row size sedan. He introduces like there's a point where the woman goes. I think that's mid size sedan. Such a funny rap name very funny and comedic effect or is it said very seriously not sure. Hard to tell with 'em night he kind of walks the line. They're a little bit by the way. How ironic is it. That lapis isn't here because of family when this is when you're doing the series all about how we've talked about this right. Yes it's a. It's a movie series about family. Yeah while the real crazy thing is that lab gifts like vin diesel may have been around for the founding of the newcomers podcasts out and in this they bring in to fresh face. Young people like you to show and then one of comic relief in roman close around comic relief there for my man roman who is the best comic relief throughout all the movies but again that is not a huge trophy to hold onto. Also a honk himself. Roman is so hot but the movie just a different. Feel than the first one i was like. This is like a buddy buddy comedy. Now as opposed to like a greedy. I mean i truly think the first one is an indie. I think a greedy indeed grain shot in la and this is like florida now with the players. Play and the borders code. I don't know. I was really solid with waters called famously bienvenidos. I'm yami say this movie's a classic sequel in that. It's like okay. How about the cars are brighter and brighter that and things. It is truly like a heightened movie. It just doesn't follow the same. It forces the same plot on the way less. You're not a cop or undercover or a criminal. And it's if you're a real improv nerd it's as if someone else stepped out to do your second beaten watch on the back line going. I had a good idea feeling. I've never been on the back line. I think it was a good decision to to have tyree not be just like another version of vin diesel. Because that would have been like the obvious thing just like okay. We'll bring in another sort of you know. Tough kind of stoic. Like bad ass and this guy looks like a bad ass. But he's kind of a goofball home and then that later creates room for the two of them to coexist. Because i think if you just try to out vin diesel vin diesel which is going to be like well that i want vin diesel. I think letting tyree spring. His own thing to the table was is..

"Engineer and it is just a lowest stress record that we have all the others are at a ten or an eleven. Yeah like building the plane before it hits the ground sort of dear listener. We fucked up. We shouldn't have done this bad premise. Bad premise for podcast. Even the good games at this point when it's like oh we've got we're gonna. We're gonna do this in like a month and it's a big one so get to play. Even the good games now are like Okay i've got. I've got an hour in between these two meetings. I should probably see if i can race through that next set. It's never it's yeah. Yeah i've i've ruined the thing that i love. I would almost rather be a show. Where every week i kick my own ass by new and exciting ways to beat myself to near death but with the. That's not what we're doing this week talking. We're just chill and we're just hanging out talking games. It's another edition of seventy minutes in gaming heaven where we kind have a free form discussion about not necessarily necessarily one of the worst weirdest games of all time. But maybe just games in general. We'll see where it goes. You know. I bought three video games last night from game store. Why allow like this is like you went to you. Went to retailer. And you're like. I'm getting these three and you walked out with them so so it went to little tokyo and was like oh i. I want to go to a couple of my favorite gunman anime stores and they were all closed but And also my one of my favorite japanese retro video game stores is also closed and rebranded and reopened is a different company. It's now call eight dash two. There's a world eight and now there's a world eight dash two and world. Eight dash two has a ton of japanese games but a few new releases so i picked up three video games that i thought looked either fun or weird They do you guys you care this. That's what the show this was seventy minutes ever be able to open them then again. Maybe i should just keep them sealed and get ten million dollars for them in a year i got. I got secretive mono- for playstation four. Which is the remake of one of my favorite games of all time. Wow which frankly it appeared on my radar a while ago and then i completely forgot about it so when i saw it on the shelf i i was like oh i should get that. I got super robot wars for the switch. Wow which is like an anime robot fighting game. And then i got. And here's the game. That i think we should cover of these summer lesson for playstation vr. So summer lesson is a game where i think from the back of the box of what i understand. Is you sit on a nice porch of a of a house with a young woman who teaches you let language or etiquette or something and you just hang out with her in vr. So it's got like kinda creepy feel. But also i was like. Oh nickel play this. I'm able to convince play. This downloading now tidal summer lessons. Sounds like a like a seventies like erotic coming of age story. Yeah like some does hold on some like dubbed italian film. Were there a kid from a boarding school of falls in love with the woman next door. The neglected housewife. Alright here. Here's here's the back of this this box and there she is right before your eyes m- only with vr. Can you enjoy this. Unique communication experience. The reality of this encounters deceiving. Are you ready to experience for yourself. And the full title of the game. Is summer lesson he cari motto. And i'm holding it up for the guys to see some. It's just a woman who's volvo hold get. Psbr sent to me in the next ten minutes. Great that's great. Wow what was it like. I haven't been into a video game store in a while. Is it exciting to be around a bunch of video games so this store in particular has tons of like famicom games japanese n. Sixty four games. Saturn games dreamcast games. Like it's a it's a. It's a nice robust little collection of stuff they have a a tupperware bucket of loose famicom. Mario carts which is pretty neat just like like a like all i think they're yellow all yellow carts. Some stuff is in box. Some stuff is loose in. I am uncomfortable. Talking to people and Was there by myself and everybody else. Were dudes who came in and pairs and we're just like very loudly talking to each other. Sure makes sense. Yes and that made me more uncomfortable and then somebody said. Do you need help. And i like i was like i can't tell if you're asking if i need help with a video game or if i need personal help but yeah it was. It was weird. It was weird to be a retail store again especially a video game store it was. I was uncomfortable. But maybe that's just me. I've been a game stop a couple of times just to just kind of having a look around actually on the front and being like ten stunks please. How based is ilan. So there are a few times and it's any sort of shopping feels weird. I will say i went to a clothing store. The first time i went clothing. Shopping after quarantine like something like this is over a year my wardrobe had just completely gone to shit because they just got rid of everything that i wasn't wearing as lounge wear or active where basically and so i was like. Well fuck now. The world is reopened. And i need to get some actual clothes that fit name so i went to like the store. That just had menswear and by pure coincidence the one guy who was working there and it was just the two of us in the store. This kind of smaller boutique was a huge gamer. Was like even know how the topic came up. But we just we ended up talking about cyberpunk for like twenty minutes already talking about how like. Yeah we were just talking about. How like like i was trying on clothes and then coming out and we were just like oh. This one fits. Well so yeah. It's unbelievable that they took it down for the playstation store. And then we go right back into cyberpunk talk and then he would and it was. It was just an interesting experience to have just like a really engaging conversation with a stranger. Which is i like to talk to strangers. But it's been a thing that's been out of my world for so long that it was just like. Wow this is this is really something. Hey buddy hog did you pick. I picked the big. Gop peniston or none. I feel like. I get a lot of oportunity to talk to strangers. Because i don't know nick wider at all the only changes i talked to her strangers paradise anyway. What are we talking about this week. Nick boy we got some news. First step is final. Fantasy pixel re masters me more on board. Now everyone's like these things are way too expensive and the text looks like absolute shit and it really does. It's the most abrasive upsetting font that they're using so for people who are are not as familiar with this. The final fantasy games the the original ones the n. s. and the super nintendo or famicom super famicom games have been remade over the years but the most recent treatment especially for the more recent ones.
