"Charlie strong on Nick Saban's staff as an analyst one time, Texas coach, Louisville, one of the considered many years ago is one of the top coaches in the country. He also was at what South Florida spent a lot of places. And now he's at Alabama in the other room. Let's continue with more phone calls here. Michael is up next in Houston. Hello, Michael. Hey, Paul. How you doing? Michael, we are doing great. Thank you so much. Once or twice before and I want to talk to you about the brand and Miller thing. Of course. A couple of years ago, thank you all from real-time. I thought about a country boy, but I called this graph to exactly what that is. Unfortunately, these days, young people rely on guns. And they take it to a whole nother level, then when I was a young man and things got out of hand. But the point I want to make is I am an Alabama fan and want to clarify that and this whole thing is tarnished a wonderful run. For our basketball team. The Brandon Miller deserves the let everything play out. And it'll all come out at the end, but everybody's racing to have an answer. And just like everything else in this world, it doesn't come that faced. And I've never heard a bad thing about the young man. Innocent, I heard somebody yesterday. They don't believe innocent till proven guilty. And that's what makes this country work. And then I will have a fan. The only victims in this not being talked about is that young lady and her family. But it all come out and everybody writes into the answer is not the answer. Thank you very much. AJ is up next. Whoo. No better time to be an album fan and right now, Paul. Get Alabama and Tennessee and Georgia all ran into the same headliner, but it ain't a good headliner. They ate an afternoon piper, but it's in the it's in the crowd category. It seems to be. At what point does the NCAA and our SEC commissioners thank you. Because he does have the right to impose. Punishment to a university and when Bruce pearl, he got suspended for two games. It was because he didn't properly monitor his assistant coach and chuck person. Okay. Well, let me jump. First of all, we're talking about complex issues, primarily legal issues. About cases that have yet to see the inside of a courtroom other than in one, a preliminary hearing. I think Greg sankey is watching all of this unfold just as he would do with any case and I really don't know where he would really be able to fit in at this moment in time. I think that would be prejudicial and inappropriate for him to intercede and what right now is more of a legal issue in Georgia and in Alabama than anything else. Okay. Well, if I can suspend, AJ, the two don't correlate. I mean, Greg sankey, and the conference primarily make I mean, they can find a team for improper conduct. They can deal with a they can deal with the player over certain issues, primarily eligibility or misconduct on the court, but their purview of what happens off the court would be pretty narrow and very prejudicial. Well, okay. Well, let's scratch Brandon Miller out of the whole entire topic, which we can't do that, but let's just hypothetically speaking. Okay. Night out should be held some type of responsibility for not properly monitoring the player in miles. What do you think? I don't really understand your point, but then again, I'm sure I'm just stupid. You don't want to spend my point. No, I really don't. It's simply takeout Brandon Miller out of the conversation. Insert miles the coach should be held sometimes some way somehow for the millions of dollars they're playing. In terms of Darius miles, he's currently in jail facing capital. That's exactly right. But where's night out? Coaching car. He's still coaching. He's in jail. He's also kicked off the team immediately. Yeah, NATO is still coaching. And he has every right to continue coaching. What's he done wrong? He may have used poor judgment and maybe poor poor language in trying to describe something, but what else has he done? Who cares at this point? Let's talk about Kirby smart. Yeah, let's not. Let's talk to handsome Joe. At least bring some higher level of IQ to the program. Good afternoon. No tyro Paul found mom. You know what? Hey, I'll try my best. But you know, one of these main problems today is Paul. They said coaches, I mean, they had to worry about their coaching staff. I mean, they're trying to bake mom and daddy to so many people. And plus have their own home life and I know this might be something I don't know if they may even have one for all I know that you know a lot of these colleges they'll bring in a motivational speaker. You know that they come in and speak and tell their story. Maybe they should if they're going to hire a black and analyst coach, maybe hire a code of conduct Coke. They have somebody's athlete managed live away from campus and stuff, though, because motivations are there for one day, but maybe they should hire somebody full time because not all these players have a mom and day supportive black young hair. For like two or ten. And some of these don't have this. And some do it just maybe they need somebody there full time on the campus. I mean, if they spend money on all these different analysts and things, they should be able to get one good person there to hit all these guys. Listen, I think we both agree the conduct is reprehensible. But they do all, I really think these programs do an enormous amount of education. And it's really, I mean, it's not up. All they can do is lay all this stuff out. It's up to the individual I mean, you and I, I'm sure, when we were younger, we went to driver's Ed. Do you remember that? Oh, yeah. Yeah, did you pay any attention what was going on there? I did. I mean, I just wanted to get I just wanted to pass the class and get out. As fast as I could. When I said, our drivers head coach was also the defensive coordinator on the football team. And we would leave with the growth. And while we were driving. Yeah, I mean, I mean, we were all we were all young and foolish. And these people, Miller, Carter. I mean, that is up to them. They get all the education. They get far more education than you got or I ever got. And it's what they do with it. And that is entirely up to them to behave and however they choose to behave. The coach is not responsible for them following the guidance at the school, gives them, ultimately, yeah, their conduct matters, it should matter, but obviously it really doesn't. All right, 'cause a lot of Kirby's more. He couldn't go to Texas with stenson Bennett. No. And you know, and Nick Stevens probably not on the strip one third in the morning. They are there to determine whether the conduct is so heinous that they shouldn't be on the team or should miss time or practice, but we're really, you understand this because you're a smart guy, but we're talking about legal matters here. We're not talking about anything else. And the more I think about it, I don't think Brandon Miller should be playing. I don't. I don't know if that was him. I don't know how I could play. Well, I think it shows, I mean, athletes are different, Joe, and they block it out. Now, the question is, how long can he block it out? When the pressure starts intensifying in the NCAA term, and right now they're playing with house money, yeah, it matters if they win the regular season, but SEC. But that's nothing like the pressure they'll find if they're down by three with 6 seconds left in the second round of the NCAA tournament. We'll take a break more to come. We appreciate you being here. Back after

"He says, well, he said everything I was going to say. That was a pretty good segment. Yeah, I think McLaren said it. I think it's not necessarily about the best teams. It's about the most disturbing things. And who would be favored in the game really doesn't matter. I'll just take one game. What is Alabama misses that field goal gets taxes? You know, does that change your opinion on whether you think it could be Ohio State or not? In that game. I'm sure. And there were 22 point favorite in that game. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. But the fact that they won the game or lost the game really doesn't change your perception of how the teams play or what they were doing in certain teams. So I think taking a ride, I think they got it right. I think what the problem is. Everybody has a better taste in their mouth because Ohio State got blown out and they really did not look good in that second half and I really don't think they stand any chance to get Georgia, but who does? I don't think anybody, but hey, thanks for the call. Do appreciate that. Let's check in with mat, who was up next. Hey Matt. Hey, what's going on, Paul? Hey there. Hey, man. Well, let me ask you, you know about these things, a lot more than I do. So Paul, what is the rules for the NCAA? For the committee, the rules take the four best teams or is the roles to peg the foremost deserving team because the way I thought it was, I thought that it was, we were supposed to pick the four best teams and give preference to conference champions and then second look at strength of schedule and the likes, Paul. Is that wrong? I think you're right until there's an exception, which was the case this year. So. I think all of us are a big cabal that cover college football. We get sucked into these narratives and I would have appreciated coach Saban attacking the media for following the committee lock stock and barrel and talking about who do you really think are the best teams? And I think that's a good argument. Do you think we're better than them? The favored line I thought really for a college football coach. I thought that was a slippery slope. Well, that's just it, Paul. I mean, like you said, I mean, that's the rules until the year until there's an exception, but that's not the rules. So the rules do study that we picked the four best teams and Paul humor me for just a moment here, but if I'm not mistaken, Ohio State got dominated at home by more than three touchdowns, bam, fennel was never dominated this thing, seasoned by a single team. I mean, I think the only time I was down big against Tennessee and obviously they came back and went ahead and I think that was the only I'm trying to remember if they were ever in that kind of trouble. They got down maybe ten points and came back quickly. Paul, everybody's trying to gloss over the fact. Paul, the facts are the Heisman Trophy winner Bryce young, hurt his throwing shoulder. He was hurting the game. And they still lost by three point only by three points. Last second field goal to lose the game 52 to 49 with the hurt Bryce young, but I mean, Bryce young's not hurt today, so obviously Alabama is a lot stronger today, but please don't let facts get in the way of a good argument. You know, Tennessee even tore down their goalposts tend to the fans tore down their goal post after beating Alabama. That's how significant it was. You know, Paul, after that was that was one of the top 5 most hostile environment in all of college football this season. You know, also Paul, Alabama, lost split. They lost to Death Valley in what one of the top 5 most hostile environments in all of college football and it come down to what? Over time, they lost, they lost an overtime against LSU. And then Paul, the LSU fans? They tore down their goalposts or at least they attempted to tear down their goalposts. Which tells you which tells you that the LSU fans and Facebook were they were well aware of the fact that Bryce young was hurt whenever they were playing against Tennessee, which they knew Alabama was a great team, which is exactly why they tore down their goal post. Paul, Alabama had a stronger power football index than both Ohio State, what, TCU and Michigan, I think. Yeah, no, they did. In fact, everyone except for Georgia Paul. You know, I think Alabama has stronger strength of schedule than every team. Including George, I don't know where you were Saturday night. You've made a more compelling argument than Sabin did on TV. You know, Paul, I thought the same thing myself that I think I was when I was listening in the Billy, I don't know. Billy blue Yankee that we win is listening to. My apologies. Mister Billy will not Billy boo Yankee. Now, when I was listening to here I hear a whole lot of ums and hugs and oh, I don't know. Oh babies and you know all this crap. And the reason you hear all that crap is because you didn't know, but you know fall if somebody is watching this stuff, you do know. Alabama is has been robbed in this. I mean, I think it's obvious. You know, you know, Paul, who's the last team to beat Georgia. Let me ask you that. Pretty sure it was Alabama, right? Let me ask you this. Right, did Paul and Paul did Alabama just barely beat Georgia in the game, or did they dominate George in that dominated Georgia? Beat them. I'm pretty sure I saw Kirby smart waving a white flag. I know it. I don't think Nick Steven gave you many mercy either. You know, Paul, Alabama, Alabama, being the last team to dominate me towards a quick question. I don't know what you do for in your vocation. It's none of my business, but I recommend that you become the new director of publicity for Alabama football because you've done a really good job of selling all of us on why Alabama deserves to go in. And I suggest that somebody file an emergency lawsuit to try to get Alabama in. I mean that. This playoff can not go on, so is there a lawyer out there? I'm sure I know a couple of names that have done things similar to this.

"And we are back. Remaining hour of this night tomorrow live from Fayetteville, legend is next. Hey, yeah, Paul. We closed St. Louis, baby. We're closed. We're gladiators. The referees on the field, David. He's about to blow the whistle. I know you have him, man. It's been a long summer. Man, we're here. As I was talking with answer the phone, I was telling them guys in the back, they're a great job and I appreciate them, you know? I know a lot of people don't, but legend does. Hey Paul, I want to make one thing clear. Can I make something clear? I'm not an SEC fan. Let's get it right. I've never, ever been an SEC fan. Don't like them. Don't like to SEC. Whoo. That's right, baby. And let me tell you something, Paul. It's a frigging jungle out here. And in the jungle, he don't see the tigers and elephants in lines all gather together for each other. Hell no. They eat each other. They eat each other. And our kids stand on the other teams in the SEC. So let's just get it clear right out the back. And I'm not pulling for you. Hell no. Let me make it clear. LSU, wow. That's right. Come on, simmer. Come on baby. I hope for the state beats Brian Kelly's doll ass by 30 points, Paul. 30 frigging points, baby. I hope that be able to so bad they send that doll Yankee back to Notre-Dame as an assistant coach in week two. I really do, baby. And let me tell you something else. Quack quack, quack, quack. That's all right, baby. I'm an organ duck fan. I'm an argument. Let me tell Ellie make laugh at something. Bone X is dangerous. That's right. I said it Bo mix is bipolar. He might be Johnny Unitas on any given day, or he might be Jay Barker without a defense on another day. So be careful which bipolar quarterback shows up Ellie may clamp it. Quack, quack, crack. I'm an organ Doug fan. Let me make it clear. I ain't pausing for any of y'all. India, y'all. So let's make it clear. Right there. Because this is a jungle baby, it's a jungle, and I'm the king of the jungle. I hope all y'all get devoured by these teams. Cincinnati, come on. Beat the hell out of that hole. I'm calling the upset. I say Cincinnati beats Arkansas straight up. Beat the hell out of that hog. I ain't no SEC fan. Alabama fan, baby. And part of me say something about one of your colleagues as I make. Please. Desmond Howard, he makes you look bad, dude. He just makes you look bad. You know how you had to take some people to the side and just tell them man, hey, you represent us and you just stupid and you need to shut up. That's what you need to do to Desmond Howard. Not only do they take a and a.m. and Michigan, he picked Pittsburgh. Is that the same kiddie picket Jordan Madison kids vibe and to know how no more is that? Is that the same frigging one? Paul, you need to take to the sides and look there you make us look bad because here's the thing the average fan today ain't average no more Paul. We know as much about football as y'all doing on YouTube online. Watch the practices for all the players. Right down the coaches interviews. We know as much as y'all know to a large degree, maybe not have the inside solar system, but we have every source that we need and we don't believe in your experts won one of your so called experts come off as dumb as hell, Paul. And that's a two, man. Take him to the side and tell him to shut the hell out. Blockhead monster has some job DJ job. The black hat posse is at the city limits. The rest about the blow to whistle. You can't run. Alabama's on the doorstep. Elvis has left the building. Wow, that was a classic call. Let's continue. AC is in New Jersey. Canada. Good afternoon, mister fine, bob. Thank you so much for taking my call. Wherever you want to be, you can be. I can be anywhere. How about we put legend with the crimson tide? He can be there. Or something, no amount of time he's typing up the team. He didn't even want to accept something like that. He's on player like a guy named legend who's hyping up the team. How many times do you think Nick Stevens is going to yell at him mister fine? But what do you think? I don't know. Are you saying you didn't like the legend call? Because the excitement doesn't like all the hype. Legend on that foster wouldn't be a quarterback or something and he's hyping up the team. It didn't look like that. I really don't know. That means it makes certain probably not listening to all this. Probably his thing was not rap poison. Where's my Debbie? And when they lose they're gonna cry like a little baby. And then you have a guy named Matt and San Antonio as I recall a month and a half ago, he said your coach is going to retire anyway. He's talking about Nick Saban. So since like Matthew is super scared 'cause he was an excellent guy, but the problem is, Matthew, Jimbo Fisher is not gonna deliver a championship. That's the second time I'm telling you, opening Jimbo Fisher is gonna be delivering is

"Yes, but on the other hand, the problem with leaving Alan green in charge when you knew he wasn't returning is that I remember sitting with him a couple of months ago and it's awkward. I mean, you know the guy's not coming back. He knows he's not coming back. He knows that you know that he's not coming back. And then you still have to ask these ridiculous questions like, well, do you want to be back? And the answer, of course, is yes. Even though, so that's out of the way. And the good old boys in the president will figure out who the next athletic director is. And meanwhile, while that's going on, we'll find out what happens against Penn State and LSU and all the other games that are going to be under a magnifying glass. One last question, if you have any insight in 2013 after the chiswick debacle, they interviewed Kirby smart being, you know, trying to find the next statement because I fear that we're kind of in that 2006 Alabama mode. And Nick Steven showed up, it's not many Nick statements out there, but Kirby smart, being that he committed the time that he did under Saban. Auburn gave him an interview. So I hear. That's right. And he wanted more control than what they were willing to give him at the point because he was just an assistant coach. But I give it to those guys, you know, the foresight that they had of seeing someone like that that may be a game changer. I just don't know if there's a lot of them out there. The next statement. I know there's been some news on that. I remember that day very well. I happened to be doing a show that very day from the Waldorf in New York, it was the night of the Hall of Fame dinner, and I mean, Jimmy Sexton was holding court in the lobby, and there was a rumor a minute. And I never took that rumor too seriously. I think Kirby smart had a conversation with him. But he knew if he didn't get an offer, he was going to hurt himself with Alabama. So I think he got out of that very quickly. And Mao zon emerged, and I think Mao zahn was always going to be that person because of what he had done prior to that. But this time around, there is already there's already a tug of war. This sounds awkward to say considering we had the coach on a few minutes ago, but there's two or three candidates that I think would be would bubble over with bubble up to the top immediately. There's always a surprise because you don't know. Somebody could emerge like building an apiary, somebody, a big upset, a big win, the next thing you know, everybody wants that, like milk Tucker last year, even though he's been around for a while. So I think it's a green light, go out and coach, whatever happens, will be, I mean, we'll know. If he beats Penn State and LSU, then suddenly there's momentum, and it could carry him. Remember, remember tuberville, you remember all these times, Mao zan and even in 2013? Nobody really saw that coming. That team, I remember. Last year, Paul, leading O myth after the, you know, going 6 and two. And now and being competitive and having leads in every game, you know, it's not like you're getting pushed around every game. Even the iron bowl was a total surprise, but it was competitive. But I really do feel like Jimmy section for auburn standpoint is not a is more of an opponent to us. And going into this is I will not deal with him. And in fact, there was an SEC school last year that the word was the AD would not would not let him around. And they ended up getting somebody who was not a sexting client. I mean, the problem is, if you look at it as a problem, he controls ten of the 14 SEC head coaches. And you really, I mean, I've had people that represent that he represented wonder exactly what was going on in certain coaching searches because of various factors. It's pretty deep in the weeds here. We have to go to a break, but really good call. Thank you for your help for your call. I should say. And we will be back with more phone calls right after this. Every college football season, Goodyear knows the importance of

"And welcome back. It's great to have all of you here and let's check in with Levi and Georgia. Good afternoon to you. Thanks all. I know this may be old news, but I wanted to talk about your comment about Nick Saban complaining about it being a rebuilding year last year. Okay. Well, frankly, I think it was malarkey. I think it was the seat for slanderous fictitious and chicanos because the season wasn't that Avery building year. If you're going to use that term, I know a lot of people like to say it's reloading. But I think it was short sighted. You were leaving out pretty much what Kirby smart said after the national championship game. I think the next morning he said, that was the best coaching job. Nick Stevens ever done to take that team all the way to his national championship. Everybody knew or it was George's year last year. So yeah, I don't think the comment was right. You made some very specious allegations against me, which is fine. Of all the things that you said though, deceitful, chicanery, could I ask you about one of them and I'll leave you alone after that. Can you explain to all of us how my comments, which were on ESPN with Mike Greenberg in a somewhat joking manner, I mentioned that the comparison to Jimmy Kimmel, how was it how was it slanderous? Could you explain that one to me? Yeah, because I think you were, I think it discredited how good Nick Saban was. I'm aware of that. And I'm not trying to put you on the spot here, but you're the one who made the allegation. I'm just curious, and I think we all are, especially those of us who talk for a living because when somebody accuses us of slander, it can be very difficult and damaging. I'm just curious, your definition of slander. I'm a lawyer, Paul. And I don't have Google in front of you. You're the one who accuses me of being slanderous. So that's why I just wanted to make sure you weren't a lawyer, because if you were, I was going to get very nervous. Well, I'm pretty sure you have Stephen a's number. If you want to get him on the phone, I'm sure he can back me up on this. And he would say it's slanderous as well against the goat Nick Saban. Well, you're right. I do have his number. Do you want me to call him right now? We can get him on the phone and see because he probably would agree with you, by the way. Oh, yeah, that would be great. Hey, listen, Levi, I appreciate it. I think the fact that the question was asked in a mocking manner by Mike and was answered in a joking manner by me probably went over almost everyone's head. So thanks for the thanks for calling. Good to hear from you. Caleb is up next in South Carolina. Hello Caleb. Hey, Paul. I'm a diehard Clemson fan and I was wanting to go over. Clumps and schedules and possibility. Schedule problems and often problems. Yes. What do you think are the weakness? We've done this in the bottom third nationally and often. Do you think our audience is a lot doing prove at all? Yeah, I think everything is going to be better at Clemson. And I think that's one reason why the ranking is so high. And I think it really starts with the opening game. Think about this for a second. Last year, Clemson played in the most watched early game of the season against Georgia. This year, they played Georgia Tech in the game that virtually nobody will care about. And I think they have a chance to work out some of the issues. And then get ready for that rather menacing schedule that comes after that between with Furman and Louisiana tech. Let's check in with Chase in Colorado. How are you, chase? Oh, hey, Paul, man. Thanks for taking my call. Thank you. Real quickly, I just want to get your take on Brian Kelly going from Notre dame to LSU. And my question for you is, do you really think that Brian Kelly knew what she was going to get into when he going from Notre-Dame stiff collar independent school to the SEC, which is good old boy, if you don't win, you get fired. And I just, I really wonder, you know, if he really, really knew what he was getting himself into. And I mean, we all know, if you know SEC football and sports, man, I mean, you know, it's kind of do or die. And whether you're in Athens or Tuscaloosa, or auburn or Baton Rouge, it just, you know, it just seems to go that way. I just wanted to get your take on that. Yeah. I frankly believe that he did know what he was getting into. I say that because Brian Kelly is a smart man. He has been around coaching a long time. He had been at Notre-Dame for 12 years, which is one of the most difficult jobs in America. And he made been ready for some of the criticism that he got for some inane things, but I'm basically on a couple of conversations with him. I'm not spending vacation time with Brian Kelly. But I think he and I think he's fully prepared for this job. And on top of all that, this is not like the first job out of school when you have three kids at home and a mortgage. The worst thing that can happen to him is he gets paid a $100 million to go away. Well, that's true. And we know how that goes as well. Yes. So I'm also the opinion that he's going to be very successful. So maybe my optimism is short cited, but I'll take it. Hey, thank you for the call. Appreciate it. Let's check in with Tim in Ohio. Hello, Tim. Hey, Paul, thanks for taking my call. How are you? I'm doing great. Thank you. I wanted your opinion on Roman Harper's Tennessee picks. Yeah, Roman picked them to what go 11 ten I really don't remember. Ten and two. Ten and two. I think that I think Roman has always been one of the funniest people at the network. And I think he will continue to be after that prediction. Okay. I appreciate the time. Thank you very much. I think Tennessee's going to have a good year, but I'm not quite prepared to go to double digits. But hey, Roman, Roman knows more than I do. I'm just a I'm just a button pusher. I just grab calls here every day. That's my main job. We'll take a break. More to come right after this. Oh, hi there. Young lawyer. Good to see you. FX's reservation dogs. The award winning comedy series returns. Things went wrong messed up around here.

"The NCAA has been dizzy today that we heard already about the bull situation. Not the both situations, the conference situation. Now they're got some news about the 25 scholarship limit, as long as you have 85, you can. Go over that limit or there is no limit. So good for the NCAA glad to see they're working. Whatever that means. Let's get back to the calls here at 855-242-7285. Michael and North Carolina. Hey Paul, I was really impressed you opened the show today talking about Nick Saban learning things because you may recall yesterday. I called in and I apologize. I was a little hard on legend because he wants to always reference saving as the great teacher that made everybody else great, but I challenged you yesterday a little bit to think about Nick Saban as the most adaptive investment learned in college history. And I just wondered your thoughts about that. Nick Saban, is he a greater teacher or a greater learner? Well, you know, I think sometimes you have to learn before you can teach. And I think the mark of a great leader is someone who's willing to learn new things and that is part of the Tapestry of Nick Saban as I know you alluded to in others. I think too often when and I see this in my own business and in many others, someone reaches a ceiling a level of accomplishment and they become so arrogant that they become so full of hubris that they will not listen to anyone else. They will not consider anything else. And if you dare disagree with them, they'll cut you off, whether by shutting you down verbally or blocking you on Twitter. And I wanted to point out that Nick Steven, you know, he has, he is perhaps best exemplified in my view as a lifelong learner. And he shows that time and time and time again. His style of football if you look at it over the years has been transformed nearly every year, every other year and certainly based on his slight of players. I wonder about Saban and I don't I know unlike any other person in my business, but in the very rare conversations that I've had with him off camera when the phone rings that rare moment and he's on the other end. He's not calling to tell me how much he knows. He's calling with me or someone else. Our next guess is heard from him as well. Saying, what do you know about this? What do you think about this? He's trying to learn back when I was in Alabama. I used to, I used to see and talk to him quite a bit. And that was usually the genesis of the conversation. It wasn't, you know, know it all, call people to tell you to tell them how much they already know. Smart people called to listen. That's my impression of him. Now here's some of the key key things I want you to comment on. I haven't been skating through after I saw your introduction today. A series of all the people who had coached for him. And I wondered if you could list or name who you think are the top two or three people that have influenced Nick the most or in other words who he's learned the most from. You know, overall in his career, I don't think there's I think with shaben, you always start at the beginning. He's a disciple of Don James. Who was a very, very successful coach. But I think it's pretty well known that he, I think he learned his philosophy from Belichick. Yeah, maybe not everything, but I think Bill Belichick is the second most influential person in his career. And I think the most is his father. Yeah. Yeah, and he's a little bit his father was a coach. I mean, he may not have been a college coach, but he coached whatever the club team was around were saving lived. And I have heard him talk more about his father than any person, other than his wife, but I'm talking about people that would influence him and are coaching from a coaching perspective. Well, it's not an accident. I think that great people in particularly the greatest people many times get their bearings and their basic philosophy from their family members. I would ask a final question, which is if you had to pick an assistant coach that's changed the way he played football or his philosophy, which one or two of those guys would you think influenced him the most in recent years in particular? I would go with lane kiffin because yeah. I mean, people have forgotten savings savings trajectory when he brought kiffin in was under a lot of fire. He had his offense was not getting it done. And he was very angry about the tempo offense. In 19 20, what year was it? 2013, 2014, somewhere in that realm. He was very concerned, 2014. He was very concerned and tried to get the rules changed. And when he couldn't do that, he leaned heavily on lane kiffin and lane kiffin opened the door to this quarterback rush that continues to infuse Alabama's title opportunity, Bruce Feldman, who was just here a minute ago, is reporting a couple of minutes after he left us that Freddie kitchens. Remember him? He was a quarterback at Alabama in 19 97, Freddie kitchens went on to become a Saban graduate assistant at LSU. He later got involved in the NFL. He became the head coach of the Cleveland Browns. 30.

"nick stevens" Discussed on The Audible with Feldman And Mandel

"Edition of the audible presented by trader. Joe's i'm bruce. Feldman joined is always by my colleague from the athletics stewart mandel. It is sunday morning. As we're taping. This stu was fascinating. Saturday of games One thing i want. I really jump into is. It felt like for much of the last decade that there was a real clear separation between these like five teams. That have gotten very comfortable being in the playoff almost every year. Almost like that and now they'll look pretty vulnerable. Do they not. Yeah i mean. I don't know if i would say it's been the whole decade but certainly for the last four or five years. There's been a feel like that separation and Three weeks in. I feel like everybody's beatable and it's a. It's what what what has been the number one complaint from college. Football fans has gotten too boring. It's the same teams every year. Well we watched ohio state lose to organ. Last week i would say they didn't look so great against tulsa either oklahoma's got issues clemson's got issues in alabama. I'm not gonna hit the panic button just yet but after the miami game. Everybody's like oh my gosh they're going to dominate everybody again all year and obviously florida unexpectedly took them right down to the wire So there's a staff from at annenberg as peon dot com late saturday night Nineteen top twenty five. Ap top twenty five teams have lost three weeks. That is a record so even more than the crazy two thousand seven season so it does feel like even though we haven't had a equivalent of stanford meeting usc that year. Certainly it's mostly been a lot of scares for the top teams. The deal could be a little more wide open than it's been in some time. Yeah i mean. Let's get into the florida alabama game for a second. I i picked. I picked florida to keep it. Close a big spread of fifteen points and obviously it was a home game for the gators in nineteen thousand. Charged atmosphere I also thought there is something to be said for a team that doesn't really fear the aura of alabama. And i feel like you have that with florida in some ways. They have like they look their best. Probably in losses against alabama. You know like. I would make the case. They came into the game. Ranked number eleven and unlike say ohio state. Or even clemson. And i'm more of a creature of reactionary stuff to what happens in the you know when it comes to ranking teams in probably most people are but like i think florida should move up from that eleven spot whereas i'm looking at it said they to me. They watch more justified to higher. Up than what i've seen from clemson at ohio state. Certainly i mean i. I was very impressed by how they went toe to toe with them. They know alabama does not run the ball very well. Yet you know and it's got two elite linemen that's too but you do have to replace new o line coach and obviously bill. O'brien new coordinator As good as bryce yang has been and they jumped out. I at three touchdown passes in the first quarter You know what's the No one was going to say. This was a great florida defense. That was a really bad florida defense last year and they played really hard and they got a lot of pressure on. I thought it was a really interesting matchup. And i don't know if it's a one off But to me. Florida felt like it was it was. It didn't feel all that flukey. Wanna take it easy to get into the alabama part of this and we will. But i wanna take a second and give a shout out to. Dan mullen You and i both have shown a lot of respect for him. Certainly when we do our top. Five coaches lists. I feel like he's kind of a divisive guy and a lotta people. Just don't buy it if you if you look at his mississippi state record without any context right. It wasn't that great. I would argue. It's very good for mississippi state. But that's another story His if there's one thing. I don't think you can dispute is how great an offensive coach. He is and to that point. I thought they were gonna take a big step back begin. You look to last season. How much of. It was dat combo of kyle. Trask kyle pits Darius tony and they're all gone. Well what is dan mullen do. He plays to his strengths last year. Florida was very much about the pass. Florida ranked ninety six in the country in rushing offense last year right now. They're number two. And that's despite having played alabama. Ameri jones is not a guy who is necessarily going to while you with his arm but he can run in basically it just seemed like especially in the second half they just ran it down. alabama's throat and in part. Because you have to deal with dual a true jewel quarterback memory. Jones davis looked good as well. Want right look good. But yeah alabama. Clinton stopped now. I watched nick stevens press conference afterward and it was not a situation where he got on their am was blasting. Everybody seemed really concerned. He just seen mostly relieved that they got out there with a win. He just kept talking. About what a tough environment. That was for price young to go into. And if you watch the game it was a it was very loud. And sometimes i think homefield advantage is a little bit overstated or or certainly the crowd noise part of it. Maybe it's more disruption to your routine but there were several points in that game when they got penalties specifically because the crowd noise including the one yard line one time. I want to add thought of this late last night. I want to suggest to you. We saw alabama last year. Have one of the all time. Great dominant seasons despite code which disrupted a lotta people seasons. I wonder if there's one aspect of it that played to their advantage cruise. They never had to play in front of a hundred thousand people. They never had to go into an atmosphere like the one they did yesterday. Nobody did It was pretty interesting to watch. That crowd have a direct impact on their ability to do what they want to do. Offense i mean it definitely. It definitely was a home field advantage. I also thought that florida looked light. The better condition team. But i don't say but that's kind of how it felt. It almost looked like alabama was was just. Didn't have as much juice as for two and i'm sure some maybe. Some of that was feeding off the home crowd. I think You know everyone talked. About how sweltering hot it as not like. It doesn't get that way in tuscaloosa certainly in the summer so it was. It was a really good game. I mean i think one thing. And you and i do this a lot and we know it. Is you got to caution yourself reading probably too much into it. You know but A you're you are judged by your big games. And i thought that that was. That was a heavyweight fight and there was something you know like. I said i'd almost like to kind of pivot a little bit to some of the other. The other teams where i don't know can i throw one quick one more thing about your related to alabama. You thought you. I remember in the off season. You thought i was too high. On ole miss and lincoln They basically picked their score against elaine. They got the sixty one points. That we're gonna all mr lane right now. Who are jumble. Here's why amac acura mcafee fifth-ranked passionate country only plays alabama two weeks given what you've seen from those two teams. Do you give the rebels to pull it off. I give them a shot. I don't like i'm gonna pump the brakes a little on oldness. I mean you know. They beat two lane two lanes better under willie home. I had troubles with two lane. Yes stu i again. I would pump the brakes on it a little oklahoma by the way you know had a lot of trouble with nebraska too so i think that may be mormon oklahoma thing right now. I mean to the you know. That's kind of maybe the segue into these other clemson oklahoma ohio states whereas like who these teams are right. Yeah what they used to talk about it because okay. Alabama looked vulnerable but at the end of the day they went on the road and beat the number eleven team in the country. Oklahoma was playing in a brassica team..

"Big question. I think You know again. We keep circling back to tops and ceo. He's the guy He's completely submitted. the number one quarterback spy. I now think it's even close to debate right now and You there's some cautious optimism. I guess you could say around the team of how the passing game has been going. Obviously it struggled a lot When he was in their last year. But he's the guy the players really seemed to rally around a really likable guy and and The fact that's not a key competition. I think know a story and soon right. Yeah i think i think it absolutely is in I mean the fact that he has cemented it so early. I mean is is that a good thing. I guess. Foresee issue because he. He's played that well or was it because there was no other competition. Yeah you could. You could look at either way There's probably small bits of both but overall. I think it's a good thing i you know. I kinda live or agree with the you. Know the old slogan if you have to you have none So i think knowing who your guy is a good thing and you don't have to worry. I mean a few years this several years ago but When bobo is going back and forth between colin hill and nick stevens. And i didn't name a starter until the night before the opener i. I don't think he thinks like that is ever good for keeps the fact that they know at least means that going into the season they they all know you know what the offense is gonna look like with that guy in charge so overall. I think it's a good thing we'll see you. You know when when the game starts how out. Todd plays back there. But i think you're better off knowing at this stage at camp. Are you getting better at cutting through some of Steve adagios speak Yes and no. I think they're part of the parts that you can pick out. I he definitely sort of has a you know the things he wants to talk about as As laugh. I think is actually brady at media. Day asked about the running game and about or no. He asks about the defensive line. I should say about a minute later. steve adagios talking about how. Good the running game is so it can be hard to figure out which way the wind is blowing. but he. He's the guy that huge energy. I'm yes say that. The guy you know he. He has a lot of passion for the game So there's no doubt about that he can kinda I wanna say ignore the question but take a question kind of go off on on whichever topic he wants to discuss. Which isn't unusual coaches tend to do that. They sorta things in their head that Intentionally or not they. Just kinda go that way coaches and politicians. Maybe that's exactly talking points. I i i love it actually. I really do like Adazi was i've always had. I don't know. I've been drawn to coach jon gruden. We've talked about a little bit or he. Just i mean in your face. Here's who we are guys being dudes all of that stuff man and i enjoyed it but i think it was. You tweeted out. You know somebody asked a question about. Todd's and taylor's was it a three minute long. Answer yes about three twenty really and that was really a first party. Someone asked to follow up about todd. And he on probably another three or so. When he he's a i call it the filibuster. When he has a topic he wants to talk about. He'll keep going So yeah he long winded for sure He can talk for days about football. Yeah we're talking with kevin lytle out of the colorado and So you know todd some tales going to be the highlight of this. We are ca. I can't actually believe this but What are we two weeks away from c. issues. I game It came out Their their first opponent going to be ranked number four in the afc as As your feelings changed about this team at all is it swayed or is it gonna take some proof on the field for that to happen. Yeah i mean. I think it's everyone sounds like they've made huge strides during camp. Yeah everyone had great off-season everyone that having a great campy every school in the nation. Saying that right now and some of them through some of them. It's not see. I definitely why. Wait and see on the field action see issue. I mean absolutely going to be tested early and often as you said. South dakota state There the fcf's runner up there. They're not going to be scared. Come in fort collins So you get really test raft bat and a pre intriguing game See i'm i'm just yeah. We're we're did that point camp where it's like okay. Yeah we have the tease the football to get to the real football. It's so close yet so far away these things starting to drag on and you're right right. Nobody's at a bad camp. Everybody's going undefeated this year. Yeah exact- i always chuckle this time. Area we we see it in media days and then yeah this. I've of camp Everyone stock value. Oh this and this you know. Such and such player is really emerging so and so's in the best shape of their alive. Yeah so those really gonna be a great player. Me kevin. yeah i mean. We are shoe if anyone's going to now's the time. And tanner you fat great off season. We're expecting big things. We all know they don't always come true bay. Maybe it'll happen this time may miss. It was like you're you're twentieth. Consecutive grey off season. You know maybe you're due for a good season. I think so. I think this is definitely my year. You know i've been putting in the work These guys have really been coming along with me. I mean just all that coach speak that comes through. I love it Kevin lilo with the colorado and kevin As much as i'd like to just talk sports with you Unfortunately covert his rearing. Its ugly head again. See issue now requiring vaccinations and And mask mandates along the way what impact is going to have on the team and has have you noticed any pressure from stevedores adagio to any of his players. I think they're like ninety eight or ninety. Nine percent vaccinated rate Have you have you seen any pressure from adagio on those last couple of players to go and get the vaccine i. It seems like the team really did a great job nine nine percent which is where they are. It's yeah i think two or three. Roughly players aren't back saying that and that's a great number way up of the you know the public rate especially in that age group. They've done a great job there. It sounds like it's very player driven kinds of physician groups all discussed it. And i think there's a lot of like hey i don't wanna be the guy that cost us the game because i got sick and therefore my heel ended up having forced to quarantine of some. I my teammates all of that. I'm saved on great job. And yeah i think you know there are different rules for those are unvaccinated. They kind of have to be sequestered away. They they can't be in all the meetings or team meals and things like that. So it's it's definitely tough for those that aren't but Yeah the the big hope and I think expectations that they since there at that number means they're going to play a full season or at least if they don't it won't be because of them would be because other teams Having issues so i think They're pretty excited about the team. Kinda that sorta i. I've been calling their first win of the season is that they've taken charge of their potential covert outbreaks talking with kevin lion out of the colorado and our syrupy four by four vip guests. And you know kevin we. We've spent a great deal of time. Talking about the ever shifting landscape of college football seems to have died down a little. Bit is quieted down. I mean it came on with a great surge. But it's quite a down a little bit. Are you keeping your eyes on this or is this something that it's going to pop up every once in a while go away then pop up And it's going to be a long a long process. Yeah i think we're into the flu. Burn phase now yet. The the real bright berm right away with the the texas and oklahoma moving now the rest of the teams and conferences. I think are you know they know they have at least this year. Texas and oklahoma can't move right now and there's gonna be some lawyering to figure out win so they have a little bit. I'm start figuring out things so they're all meeting to figure out what that is. I mean we're came out last week that The pac twelve big ten and acc have talked in alliance which could mean a lot of things that can mean just a scheduling alliance could mean. You'll kind of voting together to overpower this. You see could mean a full on merger to make a crazy large conference So there are a lot of those discussions going on. But yeah i think it's going to now be Sort of trickle of things that happened as all these powers figure out what their next step is because they know they have a little bit time in.

"It wasn't that with all the weird onside kicks. We're going on side kick one where we didn't grab it and then they s and i was not at that game. I watched that from home. I watched it from beautiful colorado. But i do remember. It was wild and it's like how is this even happening and didn't like was it nick. Stevens is a quarterback. Okay and he's trying to get. I think then they say he was out of bows or something and then the end of the clock. It was something weird finish. Rams listeners will know it just kind of seemed like you didn't get that you weren't able to have that final play of the game you didn't get to throw downfield. Something weird happened. Maybe you're thinking about a different kind. Probably thinking about it could be. I mean you guys have had some wacky game. Utah state when we're pressed out of bounds. And then he was in balance and they threw the touchdown to him He lost the game singer night. Yeah that was a weird one as well. That's the thing too. You guys have had some of those. Yeah and heartbreakers. i'm a. I'm not really the guy. Say the refs blew game was. There's some controversial calls it'd be like how in the world did you not see that..

"If you're a great player you have a tremendous brand. You can make money anywhere. Nestor point like these guys have been making money. Nick sabin talks about ungodly number. She hasn't done anything. Well knicks saved. You've done a lot but you've been making ten million dollars for a long time ten million or more for a long time because he does. We don't know the real numbers on his contrary how much do exactly and that's another incentive like going back to a davos at in terms of like sitting guys or whatever these make money now they can make some real money according to nick sabin. So why wouldn't they wanna play in games. Like i get it if you're a senior quarterback or something and you're in there and you want to preserve your body for the whatever i i understand that but there might be. You know an offensive lineman who saving maybe our davos says you can sit and he's like nah i'd rather playing myself out there and make a tackle or two that people will notice and then get myself a little extra dough before i graduate like i get it. I wanna see the celebrations start happened. Because everybody's going to be trying to get that attention everybody's going to be trying to become a brand so you know like we tell you how you always get one or two. Gaza hard knocks is trying to get a brand signature haircuts. Go get the boss type guys. We go get the guys with like the big handlebars and they're gonna be trying to do everything and it's going to be entertaining and it's going to be good for us because they're going to be a lot. Can we anything to interview. Just absolutely stinks. He stinks. I'm best best love. I'm here for all of that. It's gonna be tons of good sound coming out of locker rooms now because they want to make a name for themselves. They want to build a brand. They wanna make money. I completely understand it. But nick stevens right. Alabama is a true brand and now all these other colleges are going to want to do the same so their players can make money and they can have a leg up in recruiting. And i completely understand that. It's actually an extremely brilliant tactic. And he didn't even say the national media senate convention regurgitate it. Of course he did things. We regurgitate everything. That comes out of nick stevens about the feels like sometimes lots going on in the sports landscape last night in case you missed it. I don't know what you were doing. "That the total compensation is almost seven figures. So one can deduce how much money that is. And it's like the guy hasn't even played yet said sabin according to the athletic but that's just because of our brand. Let me tell you this. He ain't divulging numbers because he doesn't know what the numbers are. Okay and this guy might not have thrown at thrown a pass yet and he might not even be making close to a million dollars. But you know what. Nick stevens doing telling all the recruits out there. Hey pay attention to us. Come play for us. 'cause you're gonna make a lot of money. You know what. Nick sabin doing playing chess rest of everyone else is playing checkers because he just did the smartest thing that you could do. Head coach because he said what because of our brands. You come here because of our brand. You're going to get paid regardless so. Hey if you're a guy that thinks that you may be a good player but you may not be a pro level player. You come there and you put some extra cheese on your taco for just being wearing a uniform so this is the place to be so the risk richer. But you know you. Can't you can say that to a certain extent. But then you. Look at percy miller son who got two main. He's in a in a hugh. So i mean. I think this is great right because you become a public figure you become the professional in some of these small towns and become their professional team. Which is that's what most colleges always especially in alabama. I mean l. I mean tuscaloosa like three triples in size. The town does on game day. Like i think it's the most populated town in the state of alabama on game days. Like it's incredible. What happens there. So this doesn't surprise me in terms of the star who might be the starting quarterback he hasn't been named yet but it seems inevitable will be making the that kind of money he goes and plays an alabama. But that's why not. Everyone can go play in alabama but this will be the same kind of situation. Let's say in ohio at ohio state but also like that's what i'm saying. That's why i brought a person miller son going to hugh because this is not even a d. one team and he's getting two million yes part of it is because it's personally miller son masterpiece for those. That don't know who. Percy miller is but the fact that you know everybody can get money. That's really what we want. So they can't say we'll only. The big from universities are given out that type of money..

"Like everybody else. Had some games cancelled here and there brophy prep went Owen seven and didn't get the play game number eight Which is the game he would have returned for. So it's really intriguing to see. You know he certainly would have the intangibles as far as his high school. Quarterbacks coach is his dad Kurt warner is coaching the quarterbacks brophy prep and certainly his dad You know works with them a lot and you'd think This is a guy who's probably gonna have really really good mechanics. Because of that but again he who knows he just he hasn't really gotten to play a whole lot of football over the in high school So it's a that's really tough. I mean there's a lot of people that could be really good before high school that fizzle out in high school or vice versa. Be really poor prioritize. Go and then take off. So it's an intriguing possibility. And i think given the pedigree and who dat is pro. Football hall of famer was super bowl rings. You'd have to take a serious look and you know i'd give us a lot of credit for being one of the first one school. Sbs schools to extend an offer. It's just interesting. You keep seeing these names i know. Keep on bailey's moved on. But you just keep seeing names surrounding the issue. We've been brought it up with you and see got bubby brister here. Obviously dylan mccaffrey for obvious reasons. But you're seeing all these names of former greats. Either get you either. Commit to these schools or or get offers. So i mean if anything it's kinda cool just to have these big names connected to some of the area schools. Yeah it's always interesting. I mean you know i. I don't know how many people you know. You gotta go back a little ways. But you know a gary kubiak. Kids played a colorado state. You know klay with clinton was a really good safety for the ram sues now You know an assistant coach in the nfl. I'm clay is now a college coach. Was you know backup quarterback but a great team by what everybody said didn't get the feel the whole lot here nevertheless You know you get. Those connections are always fascinating to follow. Yeah no question about a kelly lyles joining us from fort collins. Colorado and i'm really intrigued for next season kelly. I'm getting excited. I really wanna see how how dodson tayo does. The commitment is there. As far as he's the guy and we're going to work in this offense around you. I started following him on twitter. Just trying to even learn more because last year was just so crazy. You know as far as as far as the media as far as what the quarterback carousel looks like and to be to be to be fair we only had a couple of games to actually learn about these guys so i'm really excited to see what he can. Do you know with kind of going forward. Saying he's our guy. There's no competition he's the guy we're building around him. I you know. I'm curious to see to and some quarterbacks respond really really well too about some not so well that so you know some need that constant competition and that constant while this job may not be yours if you screw up to keep them sharp We've seen you know all manners at colorado state but you know certainly i remember You know watching you know garrett grayson wants. The job was his really flourished at colorado state. Nick stevens wants the job was his really forest You know todd santos certainly house a chance to be that guy. is you know. It's so hard to judge anything off of that twenty twenty season..

"We start out number three, coming up a little bit later on. We're gonna talk some Packer football. I'll be joined by a tight end for the Packers Marcedes Lewis, But as we start our number three, we're joined right now by a Pac 12 football analyst. He is a filmmaker. He is a New York Times bestselling author. He is host of the Yoki Roth Show Podcast co host and executive producer off all American stories. Premieres on the CW Tonight at 8 P.m.. He is a very good friend of the program. He does told the distinction of being the first in studio guest on CBS Sports Network and the only man who gets his own custom greeting on this show. He is Yogi Roth. Yogi. The National championship game is tonight. Your new show premieres tonight. I have to ask you How great is bald, Yogi? So good man, And it's really fun. Fun day, right for cultural ball. Way to know if we get here for me and the show. I don't know. I knew I get here. I didn't know it would take 15 years. Great a show like this, but that's what it took. So to celebrate it and talk to you for a few minutes, man. I'm honored as usual. It's awesome. You know, you'll get you and talking about the show. I'm really curious about how that came to be, and you're feeling about it coming in. But first what about the game itself? Tonight? We have the national championship game if you were to go back to the semifinal matchup between Ohio State Clemson watching Justin Fields, and you've known him for a while, what kind of thoughts did you have watching him in that game? He's a gamer man. I mean, I noticed it from jump. I could remember being a Nikes campus at the elite 11 him in Trevor Lawrence for the same class, obviously and what I'd like to do after I always like opening up with speech, and then I go and kind of work in the shadows and I peer over Guy's shoulders. How are they taking notes? Are they dialed in and You'd be shocked. But, you know, sometimes you give the top 20 quarterbacks in the country somewhere doodling summer too cool for school. Justin Fields was as dialed in is any quarterback. I've been around in my 13 years doing the lead 11 and I said the same for Trevor. But you could just tell from the beginning the type of competitor he was. He was the same way when he competed at the elite 11. You know when he became the M V P of it, and to me performed As well as you could in shorts and a T shirt. So you knew he bounced back after last year's performance, and I thought he would do it in the way that we saw, especially after he got hurt. I mean, there was no no quit in him, right. I know that's like a traditionally. You know, sports phrase, but that's who this young man is. He's got true grit, which is passionate perseverance, right? We're gonna go to Angela Duck within the general definition of it. That's what he is. And what I love is that it's rubbed off on his teammates in a year where None of us would've batted an eye if he opted out. None of us would've batted an eye if he said Okay, the seasons postpone, but it took a leadership role off the field on the field. And, of course in the semi final game is your reference. We're talking to Yogi Roth on big fan of Angela Duck Worth in her writings and what she says about grit, and that was a great example of that. He was so so tough, and I'm anxious to see how he looks tonight. Okay. What about Alabama? When you look at where Alabama's offense is now, versus where Nick Stevens offense was five years ago? What jumps out to you the most Well, I kind of chuckle because I just think back to when I was coaching at USC, and when we coach and that was, of course, when Steve Sarkisian was calling plays, and they've been lain with the architect of that offense, We were joking. The staff rooms late at night like okay, It's like a video game. Don't screw it up. But don't get too cute because you have so much talent everywhere, and that's what this team is on offense. I mean, they're absolutely insane. To me. It's it's probably I think overall, our team and as he was a better team because the defense is so elite with Cushing and all those guys. But offensively it might be the best offense I've ever been around. You know, It's definitely in that conversation with the Reggie Matt. You know that era LenDale White of office. I think those are the top two talk to offenses I've seen in my 20 plus years now in college football. And it's because how they run the ball. It's how they move their tight ends or the receivers in motion. Ms. Stark is not just having Mack Jones play catch. He's playing quarterback. It is based on the West Coast, but it's got all these spread principles have got different tempos. Obviously play action pass. It just stresses you and he's got answers to everything. And to me, Stark is not only deserving of Obviously the promotion is getting going to Texas but being the top assistant coach in the country this year. Because of the way that he's called the game. It wasn't as though Hey, we got a lead athletes. Let's just throw around all day. It's no, Let's be really measured about this A very systematic and I think for Ohio State, they're gonna have to play perfect on offense because I don't see them slowing down. What I consider the best best offense in the country. Yogi Rock is joining us. We're talking about the championship game tonight. He's got a brand new TV show, which is dropping his well, We'll talk about that a minute yoga. I was gonna say. What about Ohio State? For instance, if you were giving them advice? What is the number one key for them heading into tonight?.

Yogi Roth football Trevor Lawrence Angela Duck Justin Fields Packer Ms. Stark Ohio State CBS Sports Network Yogi Yogi Rock New York Times bestselling Alabama Marcedes Lewis executive producer Ohio analyst Steve Sarkisian USC
