"Has an actual expert on from the area of PP's masks, etcetera, she advises. Doctors and other house professionals. Her opinion, no child should be in a mask. Those who make decisions that affect the rest of us and our kids must consulting start consulting the actual experts. Hmm. Well, that's interesting. I wonder if we could potentially track that doctor down and maybe get him on the show for Monday or Tuesday. There's going to be some calls for that. I've heard some parents talk about how carbon monoxide Infiltration is an issue when a young person is wearing a mask so and so forth. I don't know how true some of those things are ever. You know, it's fairly Byner or you for some folks for others like myself. I'm still trying to figure it all out. And sometimes you have. If you want to be a leader, you have to know when to just follow town works any more texts. No, that's it for now. So here's my question. Nick Rich with the June 1st deadline approaching. And all these things swirling around in the news. Are either of you was interested as I am at what these UFO findings that are gonna be released. Have to say. Oh, I am for sure. Do you have your tinfoil hat on? You got a bag of popcorn. You ready to find out if if we're not alone? Oh, yeah, I've been ready for a long time. Well, I was a guy who's followed this now for years and years. Boy, Nick with the music. I feel like I'm alone sometimes in this in this study of these things, but after the 60 minutes episode the other night where they were all my replaying many of the same sightings. All of America is talking about this. I'm not alone in this in this pursuit anymore. This is the real deal. Yeah, they're finally admitting that there's stuff up there that they've seen, and they've seen it for quite a while now, too. This isn't just Random thing. They've been watching it for years, I guess in 2008, they started declassifying certain things. He sure did. And some of the some of the people Jeremy, Carmelo, and others who have been a rogue force in basically forcing the release of these things and getting American populist, quite involved in knowing that this has been happening for some time. It's been fascinating. I actually saw the authenticated painting that was found in a cave some years ago of long, long, long time ago Mayan population and it was a painting of a celebration. Maybe was a wedding or something along those lines. And in the in the painting itself. There were basically flying saucer type things up in the clouds. Now, this is this'd before television. This is before movies. It's Star Trek and Star Wars didn't exist. They probably were painting these things, because that's what they were used to sing. And that was there that day. They wouldn't have an explanation. I'm fascinated. I hope that thing comes out and we can talk it through. I think that would be really cool. It's about time they let us no. Let us in on it. Remember a couple of years ago, people were going to storm area 51 or something like that. Yeah, it was organized. Right? Was it never happened? Okay, Nick, you've got to control yourself. That's rich. Okay. Okay. Come on. Now listen. It was far less organized than the storming of the capital. Yeah. Yeah, And I think we would not be surprised 11 bit if it turns out that some of the very people in D C. Making these policies are aliens themselves. What do you think about the expert from you Talk about the 60 minutes piece who said that? We must be prepared to see that these aliens aren't like humans like there's something that we've never seen before..

"Like, so that's just my thought on that. I don't know. The thing with me is like everybody says jumping on this guy about his potential. We have yet to see this guy's name or a goal as in black and gold. I I didn't get on any hype train. I do think it's good to see him because especially like this year like where this is a very, very weird year off, you know, and whether people like it or not, if we want to win four rounds to win the Stanley Cup or whatever you're going to have to. Depth. Okay and you need all hands on deck, right? So isn't the more important thing? Like I said, it's weird in a, on a team where like, if Kevin Miller doesn't play for six games, like no one freaks out like Kevin Miller's, getting paid, whatever to 5 to be, you know, and I understand, because everyone goes, oh well, that's load management him. I also think for a team that gave Nick Richmond a second chance to prove his worth. I don't see why we can't also maybe let on, I understand, you know how I feel. I understand your frustration part of your frustration is we haven't seen him a lot and what you have seen of them, but that's kind of a catch-twenty-two too, right? Yeah, cuz if you're injured and you're not in there to get the chemistry and the thing, and then you can't just drop him on the second line with David krejci. And now things that, I mean, apparently the song Magic that that's ever happened within the last year, upon year upon year is Taylor Hall. They're like fucking soul mates or something that like well those right. Sorry. But, you know so I think like, It's everybody's always fighting about something. No one's ever going to win any argument, but the overall argument should be, don't we want the most healthy players we can have in the most options we have? Cuz you don't know who we're going to get the playoffs. You will know who the first round is. And we'll know who maybe the second round opponent is, but things change in the play-offs. It's different when you're playing a team for a seven-game series, sometimes you gotta fucking a bench somebody and you need someone else to go in, you know, increasing. And so I'm more on the I want to, I want him to have a meaningful at least gain in in case he has to be called, right? Just like, last year's worst case scenario was happened to like Danville. And I have his first NHL start in the middle of a hot mess goaltending suggest, right? Same thing, I know he's older. He has experienced, I'm not trying to make apples or oranges, but I also don't think it doesn't always have to be this or that, you know what I mean, it doesn't always have to be. I love to rim protected but I hate him, you know, like I'm that type of person, right? Like I don't like Nick Ritchie but Nick Rich, he's been playing his ass off. Not trying to take me home. Juice box..

"Something for the black and gold hockey podcast send it to Matt and myself. So first verse is a great job and he does Private signings. He's got one coming up with Terry O'Reilly, So check it out. I'm sure he's going to talk about that in the future videos. But yeah, check it out. So let's get back to the agenda. Absolutely. So upcoming Thursday. I'm sorry before we get into this week's games. I do have to apologize to one Nick Ritchie because last week I went on and on about how I thought he I think I used the term suck ass. And he was not providing what they wanted or needed and they needed to cut bait from him and so forth and Bruce Cassidy actually had some really interesting comments a couple games ago about Richie, you know, just not being able to find his footing because he was acquired by the team and then Cove it's truck and went to the bubble and he just didn't really find his bearings off with the team and and his confidence was a little shaken and just trying to adapt to his new team and the pressures that play in Boston and a cup Contender and Castle was a little bit of a profit because since then Richie is really in his last couple of games here is really provided offensive presence that you could argue. Did you help break that down, you know, he was going to the net he he had a couple of goals. He had a beautiful pass on the power play. It's getting power play minutes and we had a beautiful pass in a power plate of marsh and who slept off All from across ice, you know, he's getting to the the first goal by Bergeron. He knocked the puck loose getting to the front of the net getting the goalies face and Bergeron knocked it in. That's the type of play they need from him. So I will give a cautious up apology to Nick Ritchie. I want to see a continued but I will say that I apologize for being so harsh. I was passionate and I was just rated and I still want to see this from him going forward and it's this is a temporary apology cuz if it goes back the other way, I'll go right back on Thursday and wagon, but Mark Nix been Nick Rich has been really really good. Yeah, and you know some like I let you go down alone man. I was not on the race. I was I was definitely on the Richie Titanic and you know, and you know, listen, he's been playing good he's got he's rejuvenated his game. He's found a niche in this in this Boston Bruins lineup, and he's gaining trust from Bruce Club. City in coaching staff which is obviously positive. So it's all it's all real good things. But like you said, it's just a this is just a game five. We could see Nick Rich and show up in game 10 and we'll all back on, you know on the this is not a good idea train, but what what he's done so far has been really impressive and I'll eat another shoe bomb, you know, but it's got to continue. It's got to be by committee and what we're seeing right now is just it's really positive moving forward from him power-play minutes. I like holy crap, you know, it's just and and right I saw a tweet earlier today or was it last night that you know, Nick Ritchie should be the 7th player award as of right now, so and that's not a bad little freaking this package mention, you know?.

"And so this is a good thing. Give back to him. These will be one all season. Correct? Yes. I think yes, they will be world isn't one on the on the helmet. So that's great. Yeah, I think it's a great move for them. And again like you said on our on our someone who was a real not only a good spokesman for for the sport of hockey but also for you know, for people who have had that terrible disability and off we went on that you mentioned that shift he he goes on and I had never seen anybody more excited about playing when he came in like a bat out of hell like like he was in it was terrible what happened but wage you can just see the excitement in him getting on the ice first shift first, you know, he skates hired and it was just such a awful tragic accident. It really was and and it's too bad, but he made dead. You know, you really did some great things as a result of it. So you can just a real Grill great example of take a tragedy and make some you know in really have people learn and and make something positive out of it. And and he did that as well as you could do. So, it's great to honor him for sure. Next item is few Milestones coming up. Is Heather and and former Bruins and it's not just the 20 minutes of ice-time is that they know Tara had the other day for the capitals. He plays I think he played like nineteen or something the First Choice game too. Yeah. Yeah. He did. Yeah did so much for that limited minute roll Washington. Yeah. That's what it is. I'm sure there are more Milestones coming up. Like specific to like organization like maybe on list in the organization will get you that maybe next week. I kind of ran out of brain power in time. But these are just some of the stats coming up and you'll all be happy because Nick Ritchie is coming up on us. So good in a milestone, right? Pasta is only 10 games away from his 400th game. It's like the kids are a lot part of that package that thing Brandon Carlo is I think for more games cuz this might be where I wrote it down. I'm not sure. Yeah, he played two games. Yeah, I was just looking at it cuz I drew it over. I tried to like, you know, cuz we played a couple games now and fix. All right, he's were approaching three hundred games given mcritchie long ways tomorrow, which I know we pray he doesn't but I don't want to deprive him as 300 game in the NHL 300 games, right? Yeah. So I was like dude Nick Rich. He's been around like I kind of knew who he was. But yeah jeeze. That kind of makes me more scared and Chris is almost 200 games. Is that 199 right now? Whatever Brad Marshawn is getting very close to three hundred goals in life and David pastrnak has like twenty Eagles to get to 200 but obviously he hasn't played marshies..

"David krejci turned Milan Lucic into a thirty goal scorer. Like that's that's the type of power Crazy Wheels with that stick in Kasha had zero goals as a rule insult. Certainly not what they were looking for there. I know they were looking to get better five-on-five not guy to do it. I take it and then you know the Richie think it's funny because last year remember in the whole playoffs. It was like life is they need toughness. They need toughness dress David Backes and it's like yeah David bag is as tough as hell but he's not like a 6-4 230-pound bruising forward Hills Hill's real literally die on the ice if you ask him to so like our respect to David Backes his toughness. He's just not the physical player that that you need in a playoff series to dump it in and pound the defenseman off. Bruins have not had that size now in the weirdest thing. I think to me two years you come away you lose Series where the other team was bigger than the Bruins was heavier than the Bruins was more physically imposing than the Bruins coincidentally both times Pat maroon was laughing in their faces the entire time but that's not the Bruins we grew up on that's not the Bruins that have been established for decades, you know, the big bad Bruins for two years in a row were kind of like the 2011 Canucks just kind of getting pushed around this year was probably less. So but still they weren't more physical than a team wearing like a soft baby blue jersey with the lightning bolt on it off and that's a strange sight to see so I mean, they tried it with Nick Ritchie, but he doesn't know how to do it as evidenced by his hit in game four despite Bruce Cassidy's objections. So I'm definitely you can see what they were going for there. But I think they swung too too far in the other way with with being slow and big and heavy they wanted to go song. Unskilled I think they wouldn't maybe a little too far in that direction where they've gotten out physical to use a terrible sports cliche two years in a row. Well, the thing is like again in this series. There are a few games where they thought I hit Tampa but it doesn't Okay the hits fine. So be it but the issue is you can't get to the front of net like part of being a big, you know, like wage the Bruins need to be more physical. Okay. So let's hit everything that moves. Okay fine, but that means you don't have the puck and that also means that you you know, it didn't do anything. You lost 4 to 1 and on top of that, you know main part of that physical thing is you gotta find a way to the front of mat and against that Tampa blue line where you have big guys like headman circuit shattenkirk McDonough bogosian cernak. These are big dudes. It's not great-looking crude nothing against them, but it's easier to get the front of the net against guys like that than it is against the Tampa's Tampa sneak or so the issue really is you need guys big enough to get the fridge. Net and again, Nick Rich. He's a big dude who can knock some guys around, you know, he can chase chases the play but he's not getting to the front of net..

"Believe that it doesn't make it special but maybe a different and undefended. Because I explain how could this giant affected help Biden is affect Christianity. This chantey I will say and how this new tradition was born because Russian people there do deal beliefs people. They don't they are not hyper secretions. Some people. They celebrate holy days without understanding understanding what that really means. That's everywhere but I do believe he has people do do have double believes is like I compare it to Haitian Voodoo when they train to the same picture by day parade to somebody else. They we know who they plan to but then it covered up. This is this is how and do you. Do you think that is stronger. In in Russia in the Slavic world than it is elsewhere or is the different is the. I wouldn't say that sounds like a stronger something else because after all when you do something I think you do. Which Cross when you are? This is your energy. This is who you are is how strong you are House. Don't believe but you do there is i. Don't believe that there is our behind specific tradition. There is power behind you personal so very true very true. Yeah Yeah Yeah. It doesn't matter where you from Slavic beach crowd because is some. It depends on Christianity with pagan roots. It make this means that it makes it it makes makes it very carefully viable say in magical menial work so is like you have unlimited unlimited possibilities. This right right now but eastern the magical and witchcraft tradition. That and we are talking about here. Isn't it older than Christianity in-depth part of the world. I mean yes. The Russian Orthodox Church came into the part where you are from basically around the same time that the Kingdom of Frus- I think was founded there so it must be about the same time signed but was there anything related to witchcraft. Not also before that. Do you know about that which craft after my books. I talk about witchcraft after Christianity. Okay Nichols each Christianity. Yes yes the which. That's a little bit confused and for some people people talk about Slavic because I probably should be called each sloughs. Yeah probably most accurate but that of course that's another question. I had is not related to Serbia or the South Slavs or other world I offer titles about the one that was choosing this title short short end exactly right and and that part is of course very well it is Russian Orthodox Church that represents sounds Christianity. There now here I grew up in the tradition. I'm surrounded I'm not practicing myself. But I'm surrounded by Catholic and Protestant Christian ISM which is rather different from Orthodox Christian Christianity and dust effector of of Orthodox Christianity. Half an influence on the type of witchcraft at it allowed or even create it is is there any influence on that to today's magic in in Russia and Ukraine is entirely depends on Christianity. And that's probably more powerful. If you ask myself I believe that Christianity Orthodox or Catholic Church. This that the very powerful ceremonial Magic to me is sitting on l.. Much itself if you if you watch him to perform a mess in charge just removed the music you used to. We'll hear that is a good because they say it's good and you will sit him on magic. No I mean they they presented to Ford. That addictions like who's supposed to do which route they they use fired. A use aired they use Arab and everything else. I mean so when you you mix Pagan and magic and Christian magic together this is about make you feel more powerful. Ooh and when you feel more powerful he'll perform more powerful ritual right right and I I impression but correct me if I'm wrong because I don't have the experience as seen from the outside. I get the impression that the Orthodox churches are much much more realistic and more symbolic Bend Western church. Let's put it that way. Yes yes yes yes yes and in my my second magic in my second book talk about this black magic which is entirely entirely depends on the curious Sharon Sharon to so what make stronger explained there that there was a moment. Hang on this. They were smattering richer. Because you just said something and when I read that in your book after having read your biography it's really puzzled. Me and I think that is extremely interesting and that would like you to explain that a bit more to us and you also just mentioned it yourself you mentioned Haitian Voodoo and if I understand understand your burger few well on your website. You are also nowadays practitioner of the type of magic right. Yes correct right and in your book. You're you're talking about that. You're saying that somehow you get the impression that In in Russia the type of magic that you're talking in this book slamming Magic Nick. Rich craft is by its nature that relation to Christianity that integrating reading of nature and ancestry especially into ritual makes it very much a similar or alike to Voodoo. Can you expand a bit more under the explain to you. Exactly what what you mean. I find it fascinating and interesting it.

"If we go out with a strong ideological message We can we can activate these voters owners who haven't turned out in the past and get them to turn out for us. I Nate Cohn. The WHO's been overseeing these polls the New York Times. He was pouring cold water on that this week saying that non voters voters who might vote democratic. Don't don't look like what what sort of activists in the Democratic Party. Imagine them to look like yeah. Well I agree hundred percent with the point about trying to you look at people who are not highly engaged in politics and I think their voices you know maybe unsurprisingly. Don't get hurt and I think that they think about politics. A lot of people think about politics no way. That's fundamentally pretty different from the way that people who are active on twitter and who have deeply deeply-held Party line political opinions think about politics and I think the point that Nate Cohn made as you know regardless of. What's what's the specific horse race? Numbers are in one survey for people in battlegrounds. Then that really distinguishes. These people in one way unfortunately is that they are not. I logically cohesive the way the people who belong to one of the two major parties are so you know you tell me. Somebody is a strong Republican or a strong Democrat. I can give you a pretty pretty good idea without knowing anything else about them about what they'll say on a variety of issues which issues. They'll even prioritize but when you look at a group of non voters who are distinguished Bush. Mainly by not being an adherent to one of those parties. They often have very idiosyncratic ways of looking at politics. And I'm not sure there's one message. Did you know. These are not people who are necessarily politically independent. They're not people who are moderate. They're not people who all agree on one issue. They're not centrists. There are people who who have taken an approach to politics. That doesn't look like the sort of to prevailing ways of looking at national partisan lines. Sabil is that a challenge Orange for a candidate like Warren because I think there are countervailing factors for a candidate like Bernie Sanders with that kind of group of voters because they they say as as Arial describes some contradictory things but some of the themes that cone describes are on some cultural issues. They tend to be more conservative than where you would expect Democratic voters to be But they also tend to say that they really want someone who will shake change Washington and and in some cases they're relatively open to more liberal economic policies like single payer So I guess the question is you know sanders can use his outsider appeal to appeal to voters. Who might be alienated in general from politics? But the sort of the. I Have A plan approach with Warren Brin seems like it it's aimed at voter who has a fair amount of trust in the political process. WHO believes that you know? Well if we if we hire the right people who do the right things and the government will do good things for us which which doesn't seem like a good message for weekly attached voters and then some of those voters will also be put off by a perception of ideological extremism. Yes I have a different read on how what I have. A plan sort of story is is actually how it actually resonates with folks right so if we step back for a second I mean I think this distinction between information low information voters I think is a real one but if you think about what gets folks motivated and mobilized to vote right. It's it's not just that they're Disengaged from politics I mean for a lot of these folks there they already know. Oh what their communities need and what they are looking for in the political system they just don't trust the current set of politicians and institutions to deliver that and so a part of the backstory for example in the Virginia result. A few week few days ago is that you actually had a lot of door to door organizing among working families among communities of color to help can activate those communities and help sort of make the link that actually your vote does matter. It's not that we're trying to persuade you about something. That's super ideological that you may or may not agree with already. Actually we're trying to convince you that the things you know you want to see happen in the world can actually happen if you participate in this election and if you trust the Messenger that were that is the is on the ballot. So with that lens part of what I read both Bernie and warranty doing actually making different taking different tactics to try to make that case that they are change makers they can get it done and that they are not of the existing establishment so warrants. I have a plan is not really to my ears about high information. Permission Voters It's really about. Let's restore our faith and trust in the fact that actually showing up to vote and participating in two thousand twenty is going to make a difference. And here's how I'm trying to show that I can get it done. Can we talk about Mike Bloomberg one thing that we learned late this week is it looks like Mike. Bloomberg May Get into this presidential race. I think people have been talking about this a little bit wrong. It's not necessarily that. He is going to run. He is he has been keeping open. The option of running. We're coming up on the filing deadline in Alabama. He wants the option to to run. He has to file to run an Alabama so he's filing But certainly this. This doesn't mean that he's not running he may run. Reo what is what is the theory of a Bloomberg run here. Is there a space piece in this In this primary campaign I think maybe the you know rationale for Bloomberg run is at Bloomberg would like to be president. I don't think that what this electorate electorate was really crying out for was more candidates to choose from. And you know we've sort of consistently found if you look at polls that people in the Democratic primary electorate they are generally pretty happy with their field. enthusiasm satisfaction is higher than it's been an past cycles at this point. You know you see a pretty small minority her saying. I'm not not happy with the candidates who are out there and certainly not enough for somebody become the front runner. I guess the question then is those people who aren't happy with the field is what they're looking for a Michael Bloomberg candidate and do not really convince there is. I'm not sure what he brings to the table that candidates within the political system. You know people who have worked on Capitol Hill. Don't bring there and I don't think you see in. The Democratic electorate a lot of people who are looking for a non-politician for you. You know somebody who is not already represented in the field. If you're looking for someone more moderate you have that if you're looking for somebody WHO's a billionaire. We have one of those already. I don't know what he's targeting exactly so. It seems to be the flirtation with this at least point Josh that people might be over selling it in terms like he's is definitely getting in but it's clearly symptom of freak out among an element of the democratic establishment and democratic donors about the current state of the race. And here's the democratic donor. Saying you know I'M GONNA I'M GONNA get in And I think Democrats are a little bit and the same stage phase at Publians were in two thousand sixteen all this young long interesting huge field and then after why they're all terrible none of them any strong field at all and I just don't see what Bloomberg's path would be. He finished he gets finish seven Iowa and is he going to go. You Know Win African American voters in the South and it's also a bit of a misnomer. We've talked ah the program to like a moderate moderate lane so the Biden moderate lane is made up with with very diverse coalition of African Americans. In Non College edited voters at Bloomberg. Seems to me would be more of a threat to the Buddha Judge Lane which kind of relative moderation but a lot of college educated white voters. And that's not that many people people. Yeah it's it's it's it's just baffling right. I mean and I think it speaks to partly the concern on the donor side that rituals meeting. I would rephrase it. I think it's it's less about democratic donors in general and more about like a particular slice of the super wealthy who are frankly terrified of a Bernie Warren Agenda and they should be because those candidates have rightly made inequality centerpiece of their campaign. I think this is just a part of the ongoing erasure of Joe Biden. which is to say you know if you are concerned that the Democratic Party? He's getting too far to the left. If you're concerned specifically that they're gonNA come after billionaires with wealth taxes the moderate candidate that you want to run already not only in the race but is leading the polls consistently Stanley leading the polls. He's down maybe point from where he was a couple of months ago. This idea that there's been a Joe Biden poll collapses false. And so if you're if you're Mike Bloomberg and you're terrified of Elizabeth Warren either because you think she'll lose her because she thinks she'll win then you should be for Joe Biden And I think like a lot of observers he probably looks at Joe Biden and things so he's lost a step. How is he going to maintain maintain this blah blah blah? But so far he is maintaining it and so I would think you know that my my my assumption about why Bloomberg had been keeping his options open about whether to run was he was watching to see if Biden would fall apart and I sort of get that if Biden completely fell apart. There'd be a space for Bloomberg I still don't know what his appeal to black voters would be But there's just no space at all with Biden still at twenty eight and Biden is still persistently stubbornly at twenty eight and people. Just don't want to admit that to themselves so Chris. The Biden store in his sentence is incredible incredible resilience. Despite stark weaknesses the fundraising is not front runner fundraising. I looks like a huge problem. So does New Hampshire you. You know what happens to South Carolina strategy if that's true and the performance ability hasn't been there but the national polling is is largely still there before we go to break nick rich. Can I ask you one question about Jeff sessions So Maggie Haberman tweeted. Jeff sessions is announced. He's going to run to try to get his old Senate seat back. In Alabama President Hates Jeff. Sessions is God's blames him for the Molar Mass So Haberman tweeted orders. Come down in the White House that were that people are not to comment on Jeff sessions and this race. Is that going to hold the president really going to be able to hold his tongue and not try to beat the crap out of Jeff. Sessions is that's true that's the role in a hold. Jeff sessions will win the primary the NBA senator again. But it's all it all goes to trump and I don't think anyone can predict the the hatred was just from my understanding and people in meetings who's radiating off trump for jeff sessions and. He's not one to bite his tongue. So Jeff sessions knows. He's kind of walking on eggshells. Here in a couple of tweets could make all the difference whether he gets back or not yeah. Rl As as I've watched jeff sessions. Think about this. It's like why is he going to run into this buzzsaw. Assume there's no way to win a Republican primary like that with the president attacking you so as he is he just dependent on the forbearance of the president. Here I mean at this point I think you know in the Republican Party and people's US opinions of trump are so closely held never trump part of the GOP is such a tiny sliver. And I think you know if you have the active antagonism of the sitting very very popular within the party president. That's not a really auspicious start. Now it's time for tweet of the week. Sometimes it only takes one hundred forty characters or maybe two hundred eighty two still the spirit of the week. Soule Raymond what tweets Roku so the New York Times at a treat relating to the Bloomberg announcement and he said Congrats to Bloomberg's various consultants for cashing. In on this announcement. I thought it was hilarious and a little bit. Graham of the people who are most likely to be served by Bloomberg jumping in the race are pretty narrow slice of folks who are advising his race rather than folks in the country. I also have a Bloomberg tweet from my colleague. Charlie coca says as a federal candidate Michael Bloomberg viscerally annoys everyone in America in at least one important way Arl Edwards Levy. What's your tweet of the week? I have a tweet from Aaron. Blake wash post doing a little bit of post. Election Analysis Love the day after an election. "Radio games where you in Oakland the other night when the warriors dynasty came to a crashing end. I would not I was actually in Toronto, which maybe was more interesting walk the streets, late at night, and just see people absolutely losing their minds to a degree that I have never seen. I live in Toronto anymore back in Brooklyn now but I mean, I grew up there and I just to see that city going nuts for their basketball team like that was kind of meaningful to me, and I was just sort of overwhelmed a little bit. Like they're seeing people in rafters gear like creaming just having the time of their lives. And like I didn't get all that deep into it like it was basically all up and down young street in Toronto. I saw some of the pictures floating around online, people climbing on top of buses and doing all sorts of crazy stuff, and I think they're still even today. A sense of four in that city. And we'll see more of it tomorrow, the parade. So you weren't up on stage in Jurassic Park with Drake when the raptors one a championship. His way to down as I was at my mom's house. She was extremely excited night to tell her to calm down. So I get focused on like actually doing a job in writing about what had happened. Good for mom and good for you. Sounds like a good time. I agree or disagree with this, and I've caught the ire of a couple of raptors fans and I really don't want to, but I feel I need to be truthful some good fortune, smiled on the raptors here in the NBA final with the injury to Durant, and the subsequent injury to Klay Thompson. There was a little good fortune slash luck involved with their winning it. Now they don't have to give back the championship. But to not acknowledge it, I think is inaccurate and I've talked to a couple of raptors fans who want to just pretend that the warriors warranted. One hundred percent wolf strength. I'd like to talk to those raptors fans because I think that's pretty obviously a hot take from you. That something even I I was watching an interview with Jerry from right after they won the title. And he's on the court and he's talking about how they needed luck. But that's something that messiahs Jiri is actually talked about since day one when he was hired by the raptors. I, I remember that very well. And he was talking about all the ingredients that you need to build a winner and build a championship team. And yes, he was indeed talking about building championship team in Toronto, six years ago when a lot of people didn't take them very seriously. And one of the things he mentioned, what everybody needs a little luck. You need some things to, to announce your way. And I think the Golden State Warriors have experienced that in the past there run, they think most notably a once in a lifetime confluence of events that led them to have enough space to add, Kevin Durant to a team that had won seventy three games and had other superstar hall of fame players on the roster. And then also. Facing in your team on various championship runs. And that doesn't mean that any of those championship bronze seven Asterix just like this doesn't need one either. But I think that's just the reality of professional sports, and we could go down the list any pick any championship team, you want, and we can find various things that went into that you really couldn't have predicted that you really couldn't have controlled that goes beyond just like a good management in gritty play and all of that stuff. You need a little extra to get through an eighty two game season and then sixteen playoff wins and just just all the adversity that you face, like every winter is a little lucky. I think the raptors luck the most obvious stuff is looking at what you just mentioned in interpretive. Kevin Durant only playing twelve minutes in this series in terms of Klay Thompson getting injured when he was having a phenomenal game in what ended up being the deciding game. But I mean, the, the entire raptors run is almost an accident of history. I mean I they're covering that team in two thousand thirteen fourteen when they return. Into the playoffs for the first time in sometime and Macedo Jerry was about to blow that team up and he made a trade, where he sent Rudy gay out, and then what was going to happen if they hadn't had a trade fall apart with the New York Knicks Kyle Lowry with going to be sent out the door. Now Kyle Lowry has the greatest raptor career of all time. And he's an NBA champion and he played unbelievably in that clincher. But I mean, none of this happens if that trade years and years ago, goes through, and by the way, very well said by you, thank you very much a, a coup does, and a major typically cat Jerry, the guy you just referenced twice just look at their roster. Kyle Lowry trade Danny green trade. Quiet Leonard trade yacht to number sixteen playing like a top two or three pick in the draft. Mark. The sole trade sorry, Juba trade. He did it the old fashioned way. He defined talent on other teams may d. Heels to bring better players in your team giving up less I that is standard operating procedures. You're gonna get your hands on the luck outs. But kudos to Jerry put the way that he put this team together he built it perfectly. Yeah. I mean you under sell CR he was twenty seven and bleed was undrafted, like the what he has done in terms of building. The team is absolutely remarkable. And I think it took some guts to make some of these calls that he's made some of them are obvious, but I mean, even take the markets all trade like the day that happened. I thought that is an absolute homerun. I thought he would play so well for this raptors team and kind of complete them and he'd he'd make them into one of the smartest teams in the NBA you would change things for them. But there were some people who looked at it and thought, well, I mean, this guy thirty four years old, they gave up significant pieces to get him younger players. And maybe this is a risk of won't pay off, maybe if they get eliminate. The second round this year or the conference finals this year, then maybe they don't even want him to pick up player option that he has next year. Now marcus. Oh, is it champion? And I don't think that they get to the point where they ended up getting without him. Yes, they would have been quite a good team. But I, I don't know that you is Valentine's, shutting down Nick rich in the first round and shutting down beat from most of the second round like I think you, you go and you can go down this roster. You can look at, like Norman Powell who wasn't like a huge factor necessarily in the finals, but with absolutely crucial against Milwaukee, those a forty six I in the second round Benfleet is an unbelievable story. Not only for how he turned things around in the playoffs, but it entire journey to get here CRM, like just a month ago. He's at the podium next to Danny green after win against the magic in a reporter leaves off a question with oh, you only started playing basketball, seven years ago, and Danny green is actually quite like you'll start playing that suppose w is going to get like that is actually true. And that guy's gonna win. Most player and that guy thirty two points in his first finals game and that guy hit the biggest yacht arguably in the clinching game late with a euro step against dream on green one of the best defenders of all time. I mean, it is an unbelievable story and messiah jewelry has pulled off a whole ton of shrewd moves over the past two years. In addition to the lock that, that we were talking about, and the Jerry himself mentioned pretty much every time he he's interviewed about this, like he doesn't like to present himself as this sort of genius with a master plan. He knows the risks that he's taken, he knows there's been downside with a lot of those deals. And he knows that his team if they were ever going to get to, to where we saw them the other night that we absolutely need to be involved. And it was James harbored from CBS, sports dot com are NBA inside of here with us on CBS sports radio, when you win to the victory, the spoils, but also the tentacles come out and people want to try and start to take their team apart. And Kawhi Leonard may help them do that. By making his own decision. But shortly after the season ended there were reports that the Washington Wizards we're gonna make a massive play for messiah Jerry, and give him ten million dollars per and a title that the raptors couldn't match and try and spirit him away to Washington. Does that kind of anytime you talking about a massive salary increase? It open to everybody is, but a new challenge be something that would make messiah Jerry think twice about up and leaving after winning a championship. And giving that same kind of chance to eighteen thousand one long time like the wizards. It certainly be new challenge. The keyword is challenge, there, you look at their salary cap sheet over the next few years, and all that money that they owed. John wall like that. That is the real uphill climb, and I mean they're in this weird position even when you look at their roster right now. Like Bradley Beal is a player that like every team in the league would like to have in terms of his talent level and his age in the contract. He's, he's dine to is fair. But like I don't even know if you keep him or trade him based on based on what they're looking at. I mean, if you dare he does use to leave town and take that job. Like, I think it's almost more about like off the court reasons then basketball reasons, because I, I'm not sure that super attractive opening. I mean, I think the idea of being in DC, if Masai wants to be able to keep doing all the I mean, he, he does want to keep doing all the charitable work that he does if he wants to network, a little bit more with, with people outside of basketball. Maybe that's a good place to be. But I mean he's been. Able to do a lot while located in Toronto, a city, the that he's sort of adopted as his second home and a fan base that he has felt an extreme connection to in just just brought a championship too. So that Mike. My read on this personally is like, I think he can probably use this as leverage in terms of getting MLS Utah for him. Some of the same stuff to the wizards for him ably. Well, in terms of maybe a pathway to ownership stake. Maybe a promise of eventually, if you wants to step down from this, maybe he'll be one of the people that is involved in just running MLS, see as a whole and maybe just a higher per year salary, like I think those are all things that could be discussed, and I think given the success that he's had, those are things that should have been open to anyway. So look like you're right like the Victor go the spoils and people will try to coach people who are on championship teams. I think that goes for even a guy like Danny green, who was hitting free agency at the same time as to why Leonard is there's going to be a lot of people trying to pry him away..

"Lead female celebrity, dodgeball team in late late show face off. Now, wait a minute. I thought dodge ball had been banned. Because it's scary, it's exclusionary. It's dangerous. It causes concussions and then NC T, and then Parkinson's Alzheimer's disease. And not everybody's good. At it as other people are. So it's unfair FIFA I thought dodge ball has been dead, dodgeball, was actually the pit Amee of many evil. The Democrats see throughout society all rolled into one game. It was just last week. That's right. It was just last week. Dodgeball was declared a game of oppression. A game of bullying. Have you ever played? Dodge wolf, I played dodgeball in what was grade school junior high. It was fun. You got people lining up throwing these balls that are about three fourths three quarters the size of a basketball, they're hollow their rubber throw a match. You wind up on the wall and you have to dodge the ball of the ball hits. You you're out. But some people were bullying people they were targeting the unfortunate. They were targeting the small, they were targeting the fat who are less mobile, and there's bigger territory, less ability to get out of the way the fat the first out of the game. The overweight or the first out of the game and then people color were being targeted. Bought, dodgeball would just mean it was horrible. And of course, not everybody got play because not everybody can throw the dodge ball in a way that's guaranteed to hit somebody. So it was banned. Now. Here comes Michelle my bell. Obama captaining a team. Female celebrity dodge ball late late show face off. Imagine my friends, if a high-profile Republican. Where to go against the cultural grain like this in such an ostentatious way. Imagine the outrage. Imagine another former first lady behaving can you imagine Malania leading female dodge ball team out there? Laura bush. Hillary Clinton, wouldn't you love to see Hillary Clinton captaining dodgeball team. Might be tough to differentiate Hillary from the dodgeball. Speaking of Milania CNN, I guess they've got a special the mysterious Malania. Nothing. Mysterious about are you just don't cover? What do you mean? The mysterious. Malania. You don't cover her. How in the world should not be mysterious. If you gave her one tenth of the time. That you gave Michelle and continue to Michelle Obama. So you can't play dodgeball your kids. Can't play dodge ball. It's bullying. It's oppressive. It's exclusionary. It's mean-spirited at causes concussions, which lead to see T, which leads to Alzheimer's, which leads to Parkinson's and paralysis. You can't do it, but she can. And I don't even see where it's raise. It may be raising money for something. I can't find what it is. Here is Michael from Norfolk Virginia. Great to have you on the program. Michael appreciate your patience in waving. Yes. Russia's pleasure. Talked to you. I will make my point that I'm young veteran, lack millennial in raising my two boys with my wife as such and what I'd like to get your thoughts on is the failed state of these Democrats. When President Trump leaves office, I believe he's gonna get re-elected but he won't be there forever. Eventually a democrat will take the White House again and this failed state of having no policy will come to fruition. They will see the economic turnaround that we have now is real. It is not it is not a myth. It is not smoking mirrors. This is real turnaround. And when a democrat does gene White House again they will reverse. They will pit it the other way and it will be a massive descent into the dark hole. What is going to be the awakening? This is win like myself a young black millennial, who's been told a lot of things about the Democratic Party when they have the awakening what then what will be the excuse because everything that President Trump has done now in probably will do into the future is going to show, they have no real substance in, you can look at little examples now like governor Cuomo up in New York having to come out in acknowledge the failed hacks plane that we tax the rich tech, and then the rich left because they can now what's going to happen in New York, they're going to have to raise those taxes on all those middle class in those poverty people because governor Cuomo, even acknowledged that the wealthiest one percent of the state of New York was paying for more than half of the taxes in the state of New York. But now they're leaving California. No different. And I would just like it point out that the awakening of the American people if you don't agree with President Trump's rhetoric that's fine what the policies are stalling. Everybody loved Obama because he spoke. Well, he inspired you when he talked policies were empty policies were absolutely MD. And as a black man to save America. What did he do? How many black supreme justices? Did he nominee even put up he did less for the black community or in community, minus the LGBTQ than any other? President Trump with his magical lawn. Magical one has turned it around and has America back to the time that you would acknowledge this super power that we are when you are the biggest in the strongest in the most aware you do for other countries, but you do so easily you do so fairly nobody ever is given anything. My father always taught me, you get what you earn you deserve nothing. And I just feel like the awakening, whether he loses in twenty twenty which I don't believe happened or not it will happen. You want a democrat takes off it in. They sweep it all the descent into madness will show up hawk mercy. Of old young moderate far less. Don't care. It will come out. They will see the American public will have to make a hard decision and I would love to get your point I want you to hang on, because you're so shrewd you are. So perceptive, you are a obviously, a forward thinker, and I want to teach you something not teacher. Remind you that exactly what you just forecast has already happened in my lifetime, and it didn't go. Well, it's already happened. And I remained befuddled and confused by it for years. And I'm gonna have to hold through the break here. If you have time to fully answer this cool because you, you you've set a lot here. This is your obviously military person who acceded I can just tell that you were great in the military and the values that you have there and they were raised with. Remain the spear point for your life and your existence today. So congratulations to you on that. The nineteen eighties to terms of how you're thirty one. You said I am thirty six. So I am at the very tip of what is considered the millennial K. Right. I'm line. Hey, well, the nineteen eighty s are fairly close to the circumstance that you predict to happen. When Trump leaves office the night, when Ronald Reagan took office in nineteen eighty one, the top marginal tax rate with seventy percent. The federal budget collected about five hundred billion dollars in taxes. The interest rates were at fourteen to fifteen percent inflation was almost as high you could not afford a house. The Jimmy Carter economy that Reagan replaced was a disaster. Jimmy Carter presidency was an utter utter, does that was worse than Obama's Reagan takes over and in two terms, the top marginal rate goes from seventy percent to twenty eight percent, the amount of money to the government via taxes nearly doubled to one trillion dollars a year interest rates came way, down jobs, came way up the deficit started coming down, it could not have been a greater more stark. Comparison, the four years of Jimmy Carter were an ABS absolute economic fact, something called the misery index Michael was created to actually calculate how bad the economy in the country was, Jimmy Carter was telling people lower your thermostat. To sixty eight in the winter, raise your service to seventy eight in the summer, we're running out of energy, there were oil shortages. There were gasoline lines the price of energy was skyrocketing was absolute disaster. Reagan fixed it, and then some revived us economy created new jobs. It was as what is happening today. And the Democrats were able in three years to convince the American people with the help of the media that the eighties didn't happen. Bill Clinton, got elected, four years later running on the premise that we had the worst economy in the last fifty years from nineteen eighty nine to nineteen Ninety-two. So the lesson here is that is long as the media is constituted as it is an are the leaders of the democrat party, they will simply lie about the Trump years. How great the economy was, they can't afford to leave it to people like you to realize and do this side by side, comparison able, tell them that the illusion of the great economy was all it was during the Trump years, they will lie. They revise history. They will do everything make. And the danger is you talk about New York, you just described New York people leaving taxes. Skyrocketing never forget that there are millions of people in New York who vote for that. Yes. There are Liberal Democrats who vote for the worst possible things to happen. And they do so eagerly who they never see the circumstances in a comparison. You're talking about. Yes. But here's the caveat. Good, sir is into eighty there was something that wasn't around which was social media in because there are young people like me who understand. Conservatism is not some. Yeah, but, but Nick rich list that we can push the message. You see it already. It's hard work for us. Wait a minute. Let me play devil's advocate by the time we get to twenty twenty four Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey may have seen to it. There aren't any conservatives allowed on social media. If that is the case, you would have to acknowledge that the power of the people will always come through now that might be slightly naive. No, no, no. It's not. Let me take the break here, Michael, you. Hang on, we'll come back and continue this right after this. Rush.

"We have telephone calls right up until twelve twenty five. No guests. So you get on this Easter Sunday venture, frustrations or your accolades, or whatever you got going for you eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six Easter happy Passover for all of you out there. Let's begin with Chris in Westport, Connecticut. You're on the fan, Chris. Hey, richard. How you doing? I'm good Chris other than all these injuries that it'd be set these teams because what's up. Yeah. I've got two points. The first one I got out of the way as a writer. I'm just interested in knowing. What how how do you think the writers will end game thrones? And as far as the Yankees, go. What if you had any conversations with Sweeney Murdy or even Ed Coleman? What do you think on the tenth year anniversary of the World Series championship? One is the stress level psychologically for these guys if any in terms of media pressure, and do you think that anything like that? I don't wanna assume psych something psychosomatic, but is there attention level in the clubhouse to win with these with this new team because I mean, all these some some injuries do occur. But it just seems good leg with the down. I'll affect. Yeah. So you are you asking if you think that the predictions at the Ke's World Series are bussed in the Mets where Brody has said. Yeah, the Mets are the best team in the east. You think that this added pressure might be affecting the the health? The typically, I don't know if if he if he does can look it up, you know, if you can look it up. What do you think in terms of like teams would as more pressure? Are there more strain? Injuries. Obviously, New York is high pressure. Maybe in in Miami. I don't know what the Miami more of you know, what the what the the raise roster is. Or what what the the the mar-? The Marlins roster is in terms of health in terms of statistically, one of what are the, you know, the stress level. You know, you got judge. He's playing he's playing basically trying to carry the team, psychologically. Maybe you know, that I hear what you're doing. I hear where you're going. I guess I mean, I guess if you're playing for as as Keith Annette likes to call a second division team a team that has no chance, and you feel a little twinge. And you might say, you know, what I'll take let me tell them skipper. I may take today off here. I don't wanna take a chance. Yeah. You know? What are we playing for? Do you wanna play like that on the team? In other words, do you wanna player to be motivated by? Hey, I want to go out and be the best. I can be I wanna be tough enough. So that if I have a little nagging thing that I'll I'll suck it up and play through it. You want the player to have the desire to play. No matter what. But tip the balance that with being smart. You know, I mean, I can't tell how many times I'm. Yeah. All right. I'm really a little pain here. But I got yard work to do. I'll do it. Anyway, what the heck, you know? And then you wind up hurting yourself even more and missing a couple of days of doing stuff that you have to do or winding up in bed with a bad back or something like that. So you have to balance that stuff, and that's that's one of the jobs in a manager has today. You know, knowing the guys aren't going to tell you a lot of times if they're hurt where there's something a little bit bothering them. But you know, it's not much. Cheese motive say that. You know, I got a blue stir on my finger. So you gotta go out there and play. So I guess that's that's a big part of it. And it's detecting. Hey, I gotta give you the day off even though you're okay. If played, you know team games in a row here. And I don't wanna push you. Maybe that's it. I don't know. I don't know. That's fine line Dominic. He's Rochester you're on the fan. Dominic. Richard. My friend, Mike you for calling. What's doing a couple of things on the Yankees? The also. Today's lineup. But I'm the conditioning, Richard. You know, sometimes playing knows that are face now. Come on. The only thing different between now at thirty years ago. Is that you know, well, two things thirty years ago. Two guys were drinking the women and then today instead they're in the weight room. That they drink too much you finish the book. I'm Vicky, and and you know, women, but get the heck out of the way. There's no question coming from Richard in the weight room. All Dominic you know, that that's my uneducated position on this thing. And again, I'm sure if we got somebody who is a doctor or somebody who's really into the violent man, mechanics, and biometrics and all that stuff. They could probably oh you're wrong near you know, not what they're doing. But it just seems that one to one after another and again, I'm going on memory. I don't remember guys. Remember Hank Aaron taking days off because. Oh, jeez. My Handmaid's father, and may or my bleak. Even know if we knew what police were back, then so, you know, this is one of those situations where I'm coming from it. Doto lee. But it just seems that every time you turn around. There's another big guy with big muzzles pulling them. Let's go to Mike in south jersey. You're on the fan. Hey, how you doing Richard either Mike of rich? It's kind of common sense. But you know, how these guys like multiple guys you're getting like injured in like baseball, take a look real quick take a look at you like nanny, you see how he never gets hurt and stuff 'cause he has a mix of muscle at facto. So honestly, these guys that are getting Jack like muscles. They're pulling mussels like because there's like like, you need some like fact to absorb like, you know, all that stuff that's going on. But you know, all these Jack muscles like they're they're getting they're getting injured injured like crazy because there's like they're already pulling mussels by crazy 'cause the muscles. They got. It's like already stretched out. So all they have to do. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. I do but Mike have you ever seen Tom Brady with his shirt off? Yeah, you yeah. He definitely has a six pack, but he's lean these lean he's a lean guy. So like before when he started he was he had fat on him too. But I'm saying all. Guy. Like all these guys they gotta stop like taking supplements and stuff and put some fat on 'em. So they can absorb some of this stuff. You know what I'm saying? I mean, it it could be I mean, I take heart from that. Because you know, certainly have have a little padding that I'd like to get rid of. But I mean, the bottom line is. You know, when I ventured Brady, I mean Brady is built, you know, if you've ever seen pictures the shirt off, but he's got this whole diet regimen exercise regimen and of doctors looked at it in laughed and said so only because it's Tom Brady, and he's just physically gifted. But maybe there is something to it. You know, maybe there is something to. A certain kind of diet, which which keeps you in shape because you know, other than that. What was it two thousand eleven when he got hurt miss most of the season with the the niece situation. This guy has been very very durable. And he gets hit. Let's go to Anthony. In Harlem mantha, you are on the fan. Hey, richard. Them and to you. What's up? I just want to talk about met situation. It had a rough week rotations influx. And I don't like say games in April. Most wing games were really good to get a win today to end the road trip on a positive note. And I I mean, Noah, Syndergaard, solar and all that stuff and all the hype today's the day. You're not the staff. One eight as today's day pitched seven scoreless win, Nick rich. Yeah, they they certainly could again, you know, say pulling out must must-win I'll tell you something that bothered me about Syndergaard. And I don't know if it's a big deal or not. But a just share with you and observation and you take take from it. What you will? The other day he's on third base. And it was I think at that time a pretty close game and of all got away from the catcher way away from the catcher and synagogues standing on third base looking and didn't move, and it looked to me like you just run. And you know, it was pretty easy run to be scored there now as it turned out. I think the guy after them got a hit or a walk or something in the run scored. Anyway. But then they hit a shot of Syndergaard. You know, looking at it and smiling like, you know, what the hell, and I it I had a flashback for those who are old enough to Vic Hatfield on the Rangers bench game seven against the flyers. Rangers are about to lose their opportunity to win the Stanley Cup, and he's smiling and forever people were held that against Vic Hadfield, and you know, we heard stories about why he was it was a rueful smile and ironic smile like, you know, but the heck he wasn't that he took it lightly. So you could misinterpret the smile, you could misinterpret the attitude, but it just seemed to me like this. So what I didn't run. What are you going to do? And again. All right. You're a pitcher you run hard. There's a play at the plate you try to dive in you break your finger and you're out for two months. It could've been situation. Like that where you're where? Syndergaard said, you know, it's going to be a close play at the plate. I could get hurt. It's better that I don't run. We'll get the run anyway, or I'll pitch better, and that'll be it. But it just that that one shot that one camera shot kinda stuck in my mind bother me a bit. And you know, he's been kind of outspoken about you know, we didn't want to go to Syracuse. We didn't want to do this. Just get a little bit of attitude about him that you know. Okay. If you can back it up with your pitching fine. But so far he is not let's go to Ryan and bronxville you're on the fan. Ryan. Okay, Easter Ryan, what's doing? So I want to bring up in relation to the injuries. The money guys are making out. I mean, I'm forty three. Number eight hundred thousand dollars a year. You know, you're the buses every everyday. Because. Yes. Studied Korean for the money. But.

"In Athens, Ohio. You're here on the rich Eisen show. What's going on? Nick. Rich, second time caller. How are you doing today? You're right there on the campus of beautiful Ohio University, right, Nick. That's right. Sherry Nadal men and. You said last week MAC, pliers or go. The macintosh. What's on your mind? I just wanted to quickly weigh in nothing against us. I just wanted to say I think that hit on Brokaw was. Flag. And if you're gonna call that I believe that they should have called the goal when golfie jeered got flushed out into that new one sidelines into me requests, he was basically out of bounds. So hardcore. Record call like to see that calm. I think that would have been better. Two hundred sixty offense. Thanks for the call. Nick, man. I tell you. I think it's a football play Brady threw it right to birkhead birkhead turns. And there comes Roby Kalman. Yes. Who did make contact with the helmet, but you could say that on so many different plays. So many different plays helmet-to-helmet contact happens. Call on the field was defenseless receive L was not it was unnecessary roughness. Those the same thing he didn't say the words defenseless receiver. I did not hear those words. Well, let me check. But according to producer, Don Dailey says it was I'm sorry, all I know is everybody always watching the game with including my new BFF urban Meyer. Title is a bad. Call. Guess herb in Goodyear, Arizona, you're here on the rich Eisen show. What's up her? Thanks for taking my call. Rich. Great show is all the way. In deference to you and urban and the Brock man's got it right on. It was helmet-to-helmet. That's a flag everyday of the week. Just looked like a football player meet her gonna let these guys play the Super Bowl here. But how many launch Adam he didn't launch? Adam. He hit him Justice Burke had turned its Brady's fault in a way to set them up like that. It's he's he's reading the play and it makes it third long. Instead those fifteen yards. That's why I'm saying throw throw a out the length row challenge. Flag on that sort of businessman when you watch the replay. Did he hit him with his helmet? They did make their helmets collided. Their helmets collected her first name that touch them was his helmet. All right. Thanks for the call her. Herb in Goodyear. Arizona Eddie in Iowa. You're you're on the rich Eisen show. What's up, buddy? Did. Yeah. Can you hear me now here? Yep. Yeah. Hey, call about that play. 'cause I totally agree with you. I'm a division three David back coach and play was made in one of our games. It would never be called. You know, I it's it's a football play. It's behind the line of scrimmage, and we're also taught that. DVD player to see what they hit what their head up. He saw what he hit. Exactly, right. His head is helmet was dipped slightly. And it wasn't like that was the only blow the to bring him down. He wrapped them up. And it's not like he's making an instinctive football player, and he got flagged for thanks for the call. Eddie and keep on coaching. You know? And it was another interesting moment to with my BFF. No herb herbs. Oh, is is is an herb. Oh, my new podcast common. What is happening? When Robert woods caught a ball third quarter, and he clearly didn't have both feet down. But he was ruled out clearly and golf wisely. Quick snap. Urban turned to Greg Sankey, the SEC Commissioner was to my right? And he goes that would have been buzzed down by us. Right. Meaning in college and Sankey goes. Yup. We the buzz down, and I'm like an urban turns to me, and he goes is that fair. I'm like what the patriots got quick snapped. And he goes, yeah. Is that fair? I'm like, well, it's on the coach to call it. He goes, but he didn't have time to see it. Did he see it? And I looked up the replay was playing just as quick snap was coming. I'm like this is turnabouts fairplay 'cause nobody's good better. At the quick snap than Brady. And that's taking advantage of the rules. You wouldn't want the booth to buzz downright to handle? Kind of like that. It's on the coach. Yeah. That's why again if they do allow replay for judgment calls you still don't expand the number of challenges still on the coaches to make that decision. And then if you add what Schefter reported. In the latter stages of last week that it would be so punitive that you'd lose yards or have a penalty. Call right, right. I like that if you're wrong on that. I kinda dig that. I kinda dig all that. And the way that Super Bowl is playing out both coaches were using their timeouts and really odd ways. Again, it was unnecessary roughness wasn't helmet-to-helmet was unnecessary roughness. And that I guess is what infers that it's a defenseless player, but come on. Come on. I mean what we're saying here. A defenseless player to me is somebody who's leaping in the air and can't protect himself and somebody's launching to try and separate a ball in a manner. That is dangerous. Not making an instinctive football play. I don't know if that would be reversed on replay or not but more of your phone calls eight four four two zero four rich the tradable commodity moment. Thank. In John wall. He's no longer tradeable. He had an infection on the incision to help repair. A heel injury and walking in his house. According to the Washington Wizards ruptured his achilles. Pop. Ruptured achilles will miss at least a year. And as we all know it's February now, so we'll see him in the middle of the twenty nineteen twenty twenty season. Here's the problem for the wizards. In that season. He's owed. No fewer than thirty seven point eight million dollars. And it goes up by two million the following year three million each year after that except for from twenty one twenty two from forty three point to forty eight point eight million bucks. He is owed an absurd amount of money coming off of a ruptured achilles. At the age of twenty nine. Twenty eight now. Oh player too. Wow. It's too bad. The wizard you're hoping Durant wants to come here. Come on go back from the mid Atlantic and take care of his home. When one for the for the beltway with Welby win one for the way, for the way, for the way. Let me tell you where he's not going Washington going to Washington. John wall on tradeable now. I mean, the money is insanity. That isn't saying it's one of the most untradable contracts. That's efforts. I know right. Insane. So maybe the Knicks can take him. They need to point guard. They got all that space. I have no confidence in really have. None. And I can't believe that Durant would have signaled to the Knicks at the outset of this season. I'm common so make some preps. And if you can get an extra space for another max player, do it. I don't believe it. I think what Howard said is kinda right on you got to see who wins the lottery who gets on Williamson. And then these free agents going to be like I want to play with that guy. We've been seeing this dude on Instagram and YouTube clubs for years. And now, he's tearing up college basketball. So we want to play with but who who would tank for him and then trade him for Anthony Davis. Somebody. No, I think he is a free agent lore. What I'm saying? But how did the pelicans get them by slipping? Right. Anthony Davis to go get him. I'm telling you if you're the Knicks win the lottery, right, boom. That's your carat for Kevin Durant. Another free agent. What the reason why he brought up those? I n for the pelicans to wait for who gets him whoever gets him. Then they'll say, hey, everybody on draft night you want. Anthony Davis forum plus a little bit of something else. Somebody would say sold on that. Don because because also a carrot for free agents. Anthony Davis, exactly. The actor Gary Sinise who wrote this great book called grateful American Journey from self to service about serving the United States as a member of the military on your community. It's going to be great chat with him. When we come back the latest on what's going on with the New England Patriots Brady spoke today, the parade and more our three coming up. Capital? "Like two and a half hours away. Distances in in western states are much different than distances in eastern states. Exactly did did you know any Hibbard or cedars last name? Okay. Political racketeering one. Oh one. I I tuned into our the second biggest station in New Mexico, the one that used to carry you guys. And I heard reference to me by by first name, only, I'm on first name basis here. But they would what was interesting is that political candidate that was running for to be one of our one of our two senators the guy with the with the fun last name, Nick rich, and he is he's a businessman. He does commercial construction worth millions and. Interesting thing is he is now on the radio every Thursday on on this radio station. And like, I said, it's basically one of two radio stations that plugs. The Republican side of the equation. Nonstop. Interesting side note, New Mexico is now one hundred percent democrat as far as statewide offices. Not a single Republican candidate won any statewide office in this last election, New Mexico, and the also the the Senate and the the legislature the Senate in house in New Mexico is also majority democrat, Mexico is solidly blue. But anyway, the rich guy is a he he was asked after he lost if he wants if he's intending to run for anything else. And he clearly said that he is. And so now, he's on the radio on on this station every Thursday, and I have a question for you. The the owner of that station announced he was running for the mayor of Albuquerque, and he was promptly shot down by other people in political and scene in New Mexico. Because he is the owner and daily on your host as well as the content controller twenty four seven of that radio station, and they filed against or indicated there we're going to go after him for what they're calling electioneering. So I have a question if this mic rich guy is now a an every Thursday. On air personality on this radio station. Any plans to run for office? Is that also politic electioneering? I don't know the definition of electioneering in New Mexico. So I don't know the answer to the question. David. Thank you for the call. But in some places electioneering is defined so broadly as to do anything to influence the outcome of an election. Yeah. And so is the fair time rule. No, okay. That's not a thing on the federal level. There might be something at a state level. Yeah. I would. And again, I don't know what the laws are in New Mexico because I've never had to wind up doing any campaign stuff in New Mexico. Darrell we just assume that you know, these laws from every state we expect that of you. And when you say, you don't know a little part of his dies on the inside. I do know a lot of the federal laws even though I didn't comply with them in two thousand sixteen I know one most of them are. That way, I would know whether or not I was breaking them. Yeah. You're proud of it. Are you saying when you ran for president? You just assumed you weren't going to be getting New Mexico's delegate vote. Nuts. The. Way that libertarian process goes does it us taxpayer funded primaries and all of the states there are a handful where it does. But not like presidential candidates are subject supposedly to federal regulations, not state regulations and even here in New Hampshire. They had day tell you if you are running for federal office. You don't have to apply or comply with the state regulations your subject to these over here. Yeah. So I'm going back to the equal time rule, and I just because the US radios must provide I'd have to research. I'm not sure if there's not an FCC rule. There's not there is not. That's why conservative talk radio really sort of came to be a thing. When the equal time rule went away. There are people that will say equal time rule applies and right under what interpretation of the campaign. Finance rules. Right. You could wind up construing if you only give one candidate access to a thing, then your giving an incline contribution. But that's not equal time. That's something else. So if you're having a debate, but you only invite candidates who have the name Hillary Clinton, for example, then that's an in kind contribution to the Clinton campaign. That's not a debate. And I forget where it wasn't. I disagree with you there that's just slush money under the federal definitions. It's an incline contribution. Okay. I was just pain Bill for a. I forget which state it was where the libertarian candidate has filed some kind of complaint because some TV station wanted to do a debate. The Republicans said I've not showing up, and so they basically wound up giving here's a what our commercial for the democrat and didn't invite any of the other candidates. So he say, hey, wait a second. This is an illegal contribution because your airtime is valued at X, and you wound up giving this to one specific candidate. And you shouldn't have been able to do that. So, you know, there might be some state laws that apply, but it's technically not the equal time rain, right? So let's jump into this. Airplanes are noisy story. Not. I guess not headline airplanes or noisy spoiler. Warning. Now people get upset when I wind up saying things that like everybody knows like Darth Vader. Luke's father, simplifying the thing. So this is from last week's Washington Post, and it's the title of the articles button offers instant gratification for those plagued by airplane noise. So this is a new product help I've heard an airplane, and it was noisy. Daryl to be clear in the article. I just wanna say upfront the people who are complaining using these buttons deflate path actually changed a couple years ago when they started using new software that let them navigate via satellite instead of radar houses were not in flight under flightpaths when they bought them and didn't hear any early airplanes for ten years are now hearing them many times per day. People who moved in underneath a flight path. And then complained, but there's a new product that will file complaints for you. And I'm hoping to see people come up with other ways to expand this to other government services. Fhu. He's your way to complain about. The government snowplows are noisy. It's like the button that lets you order detergent from Amazon, but it files a complaint your calls and thoughts..
