"With you this year been an absolute pleasure, Crazy year crazy year and a million different ways. But As it pertained to my time here at the leader. Just awesome. Um Kind of wild we We started it off KNBR tonight was going steady and strong. We go to the Super Bowl would come back. Guess what the world's over figuring it out on the fly. And Truth be told s so happy to get in here. Any time I can spout off these hot takes make some people angry. Amen. I don't mean to. It just happened. You share some good laughs. Get some insight from some fantastic guests get some great insight from some fantastic colors and textures. And one of those fantastic insights. Pertains to the quarterback room. I think that we're all in agreement that no matter what the 40 Niners do. This upcoming off season as it pertains to Jimmy Garoppolo. Whether they keep them whether they restructure him whether they let him go. Matter what they do. They got to shake it up. They got to shake up that room some way somehow, If Garoppolo stays, they gotta have another guy in there. Another guy who's not Nick Molins, who's not CJ Beth, third, another guy who can give you quality. Behind Jimmy Garoppolo. Because at this point we have to believe Jimmy Garoppolo is going to pull a Drew Brees. I'll be in a much younger age and be out for a couple of games Every year. You have to operate as if that is going to happen because Truth be told, Outside of one year, it's happened a lot, and this was the case when even he was in New England. And think about why he was available. Jacoby Percent came in after Jimmy got injured following two games in that four game. Tom Brady suspension to cover ever set comes in. Looks really good. They go. Well, We'll just stick with Jacoby, Percent is our backup. We can get rid of Jimmy. Get a second rounder for Because Tom is the full time quarterback here Now, things aren't working out so hot with the Patriots, and maybe Jimmy ends up with the Patriots. When it's all said and done, Who's to say? No matter what the 40 Niners do. They need to shake up that room. Now, if that shake up means that they go and they get a rookie quarterback. He's the starter and weak one. That's definitely a shake up. It means they go out and get a Kirk cousins or mass. Stafford. That's definitely a shake up. Let's go with what John Lynching Kyle Shanahan have said this week, and we we've gone over it again and again and again. We know that they weren't going to come out in week. 17 and basically say Yeah, we're we're probably over. Jimmy. Jimmy's just not that good. We don't like him, and we're gonna let him go. The players under contract for next year. And as we were talking about with Matt Naoko, not too long ago, much like with the mic McGlinchy situation Great. You think? Hey, we could do better. And you actually have to do better. You have to have a better option. Whether it's one that you're selling or one that is empirically better. You have to have him ready to go. You can't get rid of your quarterback unless you have a replacement waiting in the wings. And maybe the 40 Niners. Wait a year. Maybe the 40 Niners say running back with Jimmy. Let's see what happens. We know we can get 89 wins with Jimmy, even if we lose some guys Even if we lose Robert Saleh. We also then have a quarterback that we could take the entire year. Work with them and get him ready to be our dude. Whether that be a first round pick a third round pick or seventh round pick. They have a guy waiting in the wings to take over Nick Mullins. Might be a good backup. I don't like backups who you don't want taking over. I don't like backups who don't push the starter. Not when the starter isn't a true bona fide franchise quarterback..

"Then we had back to back drives, which ended the game. Welcome back to Britain. Gold wrapped Larry Krueger channel on Dennis Brown after nine or football on the sports leader. Taking some of your calls here, date away can be our, um, John, you were you and I were were e I guess either mentioned are attached on the tweet. That says the 40 minutes have gone seven straight games without an explosive run. They've got 196 rushing attempts without an explosive run. It's defined as a run of 20 plus yards. And really, you know, this is where football is all tied together, and they don't you know, during the Harbaugh era they had Ted Ginn. You know, Bill Walsh brought in Ronaldo, Nehemiah. It wasn't because he loved track and field. Okay? The Niners last year and you know had in the last couple years have had marquees Goodwin. They don't have a deep threat. Not that it would matter because they really, I mean, I you potentially could be that, but they don't really have a true stretch The field take the top off the defense burner. And they don't have a quarterback who's got arm strength, so you don't have to defend that. And it's all about defending the entire the entire width and length of the field. But you don't have to do that against foreigners because they don't have a receiver that can beat you deep and then on the quarterback, If you do get beat deep that can actually get it there without it hanging in the air and giving you plenty of time. To recover and make a play on the ball. So no deep threat means everybody is leaning forward. And if you watch the all 22 if you don't you should, um you'll see, you'll see what it looks like. And when you have get everybody leaning forward And everybody's thinking I can't get beat over the top. Guess what happens? You don't have big plays in the run game, and I think a big part of cow. Shanahan's play calling is getting those explosives. In the run game, and that has been lacking this year, and I think they go hand in hand. We'll let me give the heart. Let me do the hockey assist. Don't flip it on over to Dennis, but it's Chris Babcock did. This does a great job with stats with with Papa and Tim for the others have gone seven straight games on an explosive run? That's 196. Rushing attempts. The Cowboys were tied, allowing the most explosive runs coming into the game with 16 so you would have thought they would have gotten one. Dennis to me if you don't respect the quarterback. If you don't respect the quarterback and throw the ball deeper, throw the ball really it all you're just looking towards the running game. They know that team's gonna come in and want to run the football. So what I would say is, it's really difficult when everybody pretty much knows what you want to do. And the reason why they had to have Nick throw the ball so many times is, obviously they fell behind and they had to continue to catch up all day long. But how much? How much easier is it defensively? When you don't respect the quarterback to stop the run game? Yeah, I mean, if you could make any team any any offense when Dimension Oh, it's favored for the defense. And you, You look at this game today against the Cowboys and the 40. Niners had a running game. You don't have to depend on Nick Mullins toe, throw the ball down the field, you just eating them to manage the game. Get the ball to his playmakers and let him work the middle of the field. But when you lose your rocking moster, and you go away from your run game, and now it falls on your quarterbacks shoulders and he has to make some of those throws and then you just kind of sit back because you understand that he's not gonna He's gotta throw it over your head. He's gonna throw everything in the middle of the film, and you can kind of sit. You know a linebacker safety if you could just sit and wait and read his eyes, and I think one of those pigs that's exactly what it was. You just kind of sit And you wait, you understand, And he's not throwing outside the numbers. He's looking for some something in the middle, so in the middle of the football field, so if you wait long enough and watch his eyes, you'll get a pick. And that's that's the book on Nick Molins. He's not going to beat you outside the numbers. He's gonna look for something inside. He's gonna beat you over the top. So that's why it's so important for the 40 Niners to have that running game, especially if you're gonna have a Nick Bolin just back there, because if you stacked the box, you shut down the run, and he's got a beach with his arm and he just can't do it. And Dennis. You sat in those meetings where the defensive coordinator says Guys, This is what we got this week. You know, I spent hours my eyes. They're bleeding. I've spent so many hours watching game film. Let me tell you what I saw. Let me tell you what you don't have to defend, and this week as opposed to last week. This week. You know, we'll get weak. We gotta make sure we're defending the middle of the field. You got to read the quarterback's eyes. He can't throw it over your head, and suddenly you've got that quarterback in a box, you know, and there's very limited. He's got limits to what he could do. Let's take another one here. Nick's hanging in Arizona and he wants to jump in. Hey, Nick. Niccolo. You with a spud hate? Yeah. Larry. John Dennis. How you guys doing? Hey, man, we're doing good. Well, alright on a Merry Christmas Happy New Year. So I just wanted there's a couple things I wanted to touch on. But so you know, I don't think Molins is they gotta put better than their, um, moments has got to go. I know both. They gotta make a decision on both of them At the end of the year. I'd rather see better. If you've got a stronger arm he could get, you know, get the ball into tighter spaces and throw further, obviously, um, But I think they still could have won this game even with the two turnovers they had before Mullins through the two picks. The offensive line is terrible. I know they're hurt, but I hate to admit it after the but weapon they got yesterday, But I'm a big Notre Dame sans. So this stuff going on with my Gran? She doesn't surprise me because he was the same way college. He was good with run blocking, But he was terrible in pass through. But the thing that I wanted to get your comments on what And the reason why I called it because that beginning of the show, Larry you first mentioned about Thailand. It's play calling I You know this whole thing about the Super Bowl. I hated Bill back to it, but I think it was this play calling at the end of the game that really lost the forum. Even if Jimmy completed that passed, there was still enough time for the Chiefs to go back and score after that, but then even going back to Atlanta. They blew.

"And 68 Weeks sports leader. They got a real good team You can see from the record. They've been doing it a number of years, you know, gone again, Sean a lot past just being in this division is a coordinator and stuff like that. When he's that Carolina They're very well coached. Very sound. They have a lot of talent there on defense and on offense, starting with their quarterback to some of the players that have on D. I mean, it's not a surprise at all. Why they Have such a good record, and that's why they're gonna probably be continued here. Throughout the rest of the season s O. We got a huge challenge ahead of us. Said his Kyle Shanahan. He's gonna challenge as far as being Arizona. But obviously it's big game tonight against the Buffalo Bills. Bottom of the hour here from John Lynch for a few minutes to let you in on some of the things and All the moving parts as far as moving to Arizona for the next few weeks is concerned. But let's look back real quickly because we talked last week, guys about getting healthy and it was great Having where he most hurt. He was good 16 for 43 touchdown. That was nice. But Debo Samuel broke out 13 targets. 11 catches 133 yards, and he just seems to Dennis bring an attitude to this team. He's different. There's people after the game, saying it was better than DK Metcalf for better than a J. Brown. Some of these other second wide receivers It's just the 40 Niners just use them in a different fashion. Yeah, and he brings a whole different level, different layer to this to this 40 Niners offense and cow Shannon's play calling because, like you said, he's such a physical guy and he's a receiver, but he looks like a running back. I mean, given the ball in the backfield, jet sweeps bubble screens, tunnel screens. Anything at the line of scrimmage and he gets those yards. And if you if you watch him run, he never falls backwards. It feels like feels like he's always falling forward. And you can't you're not gonna take attack one with like, you know, with with the one arm tackle. He'll run through you Such a physical guy, and he runs with an attitude. You mind you even Anquan Boldin a little bit. He just runs He likes getting the ball you execute in space. Do you run you over, too? And I think with him being in there, and I think you guys think these two guys Brandon, I, you can and Deebo. I think they're superstars, their future superstars and NFL for sure. Their weapons that Kyle has chosen right, like he's got an opportunity down to pick guys that he can slot into his offense so that he can drop place for it. And Dennis just said it When you give people the ball at the offensive line when you give it to him at the line of scrimmage, and he can pick up speed and then get into the secondary, and you put it on defensive backs to stop him. He just bulls over these guys. It's George Kittle. Like when they dump it off to him and let him get vertical. The fear I have, and and Dennis and I were just discussing this a little bit off the areas. It's great when you have guys who are this physical guys like George Kittle guys like Debo, even where he most of this is kind of a physical runner. When he's getting the football on his hands. These guys get banged up, and it's sometimes tough to keep him on the field. And you can't tell a guided to not play the game the way that he plays, but that's sort of the given Take. I think with a guy like Debo Samuels. He's gonna second, avoid contact. He's going to run through guys on the defensive side of the ball. And when he does, guys here gonna get banged up But now with them getting everybody back, and obviously they're not getting Jimmy. They're not getting George Kittle back. But they're getting IU because they're getting Debo. They've got the full stable of running backs in the backfield. What kind of an offense to do you expect against these bills? I'll start with you, Dennis. Explosive. I mean, I think I think Mullins is a guy who needs a lot of weapons. Or I don't think Nick moment is gonna beat you with his arms because he doesn't have the strength to throw the ball down the field. I think he needs weapons and making these guys on the perimeter and Nick, you need to be poor. Detected, but I think he just needs guys around him. I think we saw last week that last drive the way he kind of moved the ball around, got it to his playmakers and let them make the place. So I think he's just got this week. He's gonna have even more you know, with with Brandon, I yuk in there and and long as you've got a running game, I think Nick Molins conduce well for you in the play action because he could make some of those throws. Some of those short throws sideline throws, but if he gets he could get some balls in the middle there, But he's like he's not gonna threaten the defense down the field. But if he's got a weapon I think you'd be all right. I think this is a team that Z not giving up tons and tons and tons of rush yards. But they have gotten beat badly A couple of times with the running game so you can put up points I think against the Buffalo bills. You look at some of the games they've had this year. I go back to that Seattle game. You know, Seattle's offense was electric early in the season, but they give up 34 points of that team. They give up 32 points a couple of weeks ago. So this is where I think you could get into a shootout with and you can beat him. Tyler Murray got him at the end of that game, right. The Hail Murray so You could have to set it up on the ground and then open up the short passing wins for Nick Mullins, but then comes back to what we just talked about. If you can get the ball into Debo Samuels hands at the line of scrimmage. He's tough for anybody to stop. Plus, I think what everybody's been talking about this week, too, is a Buffalo and they've had a good defense the last number of years. The offenses caught up a little bit with Josh Alan, but they are susceptible to the run game. So there's a lot of talk. And there you go back to devote Samuel back to full stable of running backs the offensive line. Called McKinnon's has another game under his belt. He went with Aaron Donald last week. And look, this is a good defensive front. I like Ed Oliver. I like Jerry Hughes. Mario Addison, I think is underrated. But this isn't This isn't an Aaron Donald front. So they have been susceptible against the run. And just so you know, just for tonight's game. They've got the full stable of running backs. They have my uke. They have Debo. It looks like they can. They can run the ball at these bills. Yeah, and and and that's what they're gonna have to do. I mean, you know, the run game is going to be super important. Like I said, to set up Nick Molins in his play action, and I think it's gonna be, especially on the perimeter and and, you know, Raheem Mostert, he's He's the man that that makes it makes that kind of go. But the run game is gonna be super important tonight for Nick for Nick Mullins is success so coming off of the bills coming off a game where the only allowed 76 rushing yards, but they've twice this year, give it up. Over 200 yards on the ground. We'll start again when they gave up 1 88 on the ground to the Patriots. So again, you're talking about having a stable of running backs. They run the ball without you two, and they'll run the ball. I think with Jeff Wilson Jr will get some nods. So you're right. You've got to take some of the pressure here often McMullen's last week he went out and helped you win a game. I know people were critical of how he played the first half of that game that even in the second half, he missed some throws, and he's going to do that. I think he's a backup quarterback. That's what we see. But what four or five on that final driving and helped him get the field goal range to win so Take the pressure off of him, which is what they do best. I think when they can establish the run early when they've run the ball 25 35 times a game they win. It's just not how it goes with the Niners. Absolutely, and that's you had it right in the head. Take the pressure off. Nick Mullens. Don't get those third and long situations. That's one of the ways and keep their offense off the field because Josh Ellen Trust in the number of games has been dynamic will come back and get into the front office coming up next John Lynch.

"With one thing that's gonna send Kyle Shanahan to the loony bin is turning the ball over because if they don't turn the ball over yesterday, I would dare say that they beat the Rams easily. Not that anything is ever easy in the NFL, But it was the turnovers that got the Rams back into the game. And also, the Rams made. You know an adjustment defensively because the Niners run game was Was kicking her teeth in in the first quarter in the first half. But the limitations for this team it's turning the ball over. It's just it's just simply turning the ball over and Nick Mullins God bless him. I mean, that dude is E No, He's not trying to throw an interception, but damn it when he throws the ball over the middle, you just your heart stops because you're like, I don't know if this thing hits the ground. It's an absolute miracle. If it's inexorably every ball beyond every party is like a 50 50 balls. Well, Rod. I mean, how much fun would that be? If they played the stake for your football? Anyone That explains easily. Come on. All right Out of those. Thank you. Thank you, sir. May I have another It's all part of it. You know, they made plenty of mistakes yesterday, but then they also forced plenty of mistakes on the other side, and they made up for it by You know that when that play where Jared Goff breaks the pocket, and he's scrambling, and and you knew exactly what was on Jimmy warts, mind it was not just tackle him. But making pay for it and stripped the football and you had to know that that's exactly what Jared Goff was thinking was all he's going to try to strip the football and he did strip the football in. You know the interception that That, um, that Sherman had that that just look like somebody who you know, was in the playbook and knew exactly what the Rams are doing. And then the great play that Kevin Givens made. I mean, that's that's every bit Know him scoring that touchdown as it was Jibran Kindelan. Might I add? Carry Haider kind of sealing the deal by blocking that that Officer Lyman and allowing him to get in so For every mistake they made. They came up with something better. There was there was a play. You know where I thought Call CNN and blew it like it is the third down, play third into and you know, sure, it's on Nick Molins, but Shanahan could have called the time out to save the delay game. So that you know that was a mistake the Shanahan made on the sideline, But then he comes through, you know, with one of the really good decisions of not only going for it on fourth down on that final drive, but Making the right play. Call one that probably not too many people expected to pick up that first down, so I mean for every mistake they made They came back with something better to end up compensating for it. And if you're expecting the 40 Niners these last five games to play mistake free football. It's not gonna happen, but he's the key. The key is Two for their guys. You know, some guys you've never heard of. And some guys you expect to make the big plays. The key is for them to just compensate. For the mistake's by making even better place coming back on the other side. Yeah. Any truth to the rumor that tramp all keys already called John Lynch enquiring about Tamara Taylor. Right? Well, he has plenty of guys on the pretty dire to choose from with all the injuries, so Yes. Um yeah, we'll see how that one goes, but I mean, with a with a jug Jags make him there. There's a little man to man choice. Yeah, I don't know. No, no, no, they are You Let me let me ask you about the Kinloch place. You mentioned the youth check play on the fourth down. I'm not a big fan of trying to fool people with the fullback. I I just I'm not. It worked. It worked by The slimmest of margins, But I have 4 30. Happy yard. I want the quarterback Sneak. Mullins isn't great at it. I'd give it to my running back. It works. I was cool with it. But every time I see a fullback, miss on 1/4 and a half year we try to fake somebody out is like, what are you doing? You doing trying to fake somebody else? But it worked. So you know what? Whatever. Let me we had a weird sound by Kim Lot talking about the pick six where he said he was supposed to rush, but he didn't. He just kind of felt like, you know, he saw something so drop back and kind of did it did his own thing, And I'm wondering. I wanted to get your thoughts on that because I think on one hand It's really cool when you have a guy who is supposed to do something, But instinctually can kind of see something and says Okay, I know I'm supposed to do this, but I This That's not going to get many words. So let me just do this. I think they can get you a lot of places. But you better be right. Because if you're not in football when you find yourself doing things you're not supposed to do. The whole chain breaks down. How do you see that? Do you see that as a good thing that Hey, He's a really good football player and he's instinctual. Or do you look at and say, Well, maybe he's a little undisciplined. And that may lead to a few plays here and there, but overall, it's not going to lead to. Ah, uh, Tim benefiting the team, or I don't think I don't really think it's either of those things matter to be honest with you. I think it's one plant after Seymour, but I was curious when he said that what you thought of that Well, here's in. I will have a better answer for you later in the week because I don't know how how he's coached. I'm assuming we don't know the whole story on that now. Typically when a guy Typically, when a guy does something off script, it's It's kind of a selfish play in the in the sense that, um, I wasn't supposed to blitz but I did anyway. You know one of those things where I want to make it. Where I can. I can kind of see the glory out now what? What? I'm curious, and I don't know the answer this and that's why I sailed off. Ls this question later in the week? Robert Salas. Is that something that he's coached to do? Hey, if you see this, go ahead and peel off. You know you're here is your responsibility, But I'm giving you guys You know the power if you if you pick up on something Then you have, you know, Was it film study? You know? Did he see something that that you know? Was he coached up properly? And did he do a freelance that was within the defensive scheme. In other words? Was he doing something that left them vulnerable? Or was he doing something that took advantage of? You know his time in the playbook? So if the answer is B Then it's an incredible play by a rookie who you know when he showed up was about on the rocks and oyster, and now he's you know, he's really making strides if it's if it's the other if he was just like dead tired, which I don't think.

"Strength is not going to get you the ball down the field. These, you know, plays that take a lot of develop. He's gonna be have something quick. His have his read right away, eh? So you got to get this defense kind of back on the hills a little bit and not let them kind of Off. Well, The other thing, too is and we'll see who's gonna play obviously today, but it looks like DeBose gonna play Mostert Jeff Wilson Jr. You know, we're nice, You know, McKinnon's and nice player, but he's not in every damn back the type of guys that we've seen over the last few weeks. It's gonna make a big difference. In the last time we saw the Rams. Debo was going crazy, and they were stretching the defense and they were going sideline to sideline and Jimmy was in there, and kiddo was in. There was a different story, but to get these guys back into possibly with Debo threatened on the perimeter. That's huge news for the 40 Niners, no matter who's a quarterback. And you know, we've talked a lot about the depth in the Niner backfield, But I think this year there's been a true separation. I mean, I think we're seeing it in the yards per carry stats. Tevin Coleman 2.4 yards per carry. Now he's not gonna play today. But Jermichael hasty when he got in there this year. 3.8 yards per carry Cherokee McKinnon 3.8 yards per carry these air, not great numbers, but then you get to the next tier of the Niner running back room. And that's Jeff Wilson. And he's going for 43 a carry, then you gotta moster, and he's going for five wanna carry And I just think that, you know, you know, we we think of it as a committee of backs, and it is but man, the unique skills of Raheem Mostert. It's pretty clear guys what that most of it is a special talent, and he's got that speed to get to the edge. Dennis, you kind of talked about forcing the defense to kind of defend the width of the field. And that's what most of does and everything opens up in the middle of the field. When you've got a guy with speed to get to the edge and take it to the house and on every snap. Yeah, And you know, then that's what the 40 Niners have had been missing since Rahim's gone. I mean, they had a little bit with the jet sweeps with when Debo, but there was no one else. It seems like it could attack. The perimeter of defense is And that's the key. I mean, if you if you could get a defensive lineman running sidelines, the sidelines that's what we hate because first of all it gets is tired. Second of all that's gonna open up cutback lanes on Ben. You can. Then you can't penetrate. I mean, that's a defensive lineman. You want to get up the field. That's what you're taught to do. Get up the field and cause havoc in the backfield. React in the backfield. So if you got defensive lineman running sideline the sidelines I mean, in the fourth quarter, it pays dividends. And that's what Raheem Mostert did It made, you know, linebackers defensive ends and that Interior D Line kind of run sidelines assigned light. Yeah, and look most in the beginning of the year. We forgot about it. But what he did, obviously last year in the playoffs against the Packers, that type of speed he brings it just the defense just doesn't have the time to react and again. It's nothing. I like hasty. I think he's got a future in this league. I like McKinnon is a third down back, especially back, which is what they brought him in for Brit, Raheem Mostert, if you can stay healthy Is a top 10 running back in this league. He just he threatens defense is you gotta watch out for him. And now the sudden you got him going between the tackles with Debo potentially going out wide, and it changes everything for the 40 Niners and makes Nick Molins job a lot easier. Everybody.

"Glad to be here with you, man looking forward to this game and let's start get right to the game plan. I'm gonna start with the Saints. The Saints in the biggest key for them today is they met it must attack early. They're more talented than the Niners in almost every aspect of the game because the Niners have so many guys out they've been hit with like with an injury bug that I've really never seen in football. They have 14 contributors. Out of this game today or out for the season really, really hurts and the saints are coming off there. Finally healthy. They're coming off their best when the year in fact, maybe one of the best ones in the NFL this entire year over there against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers 38 to 3. They looked awesome, but that they can't play flat today. They can't play the level of competition need to come out early and attack aggressively get Michael Thomas involved early. For the 40 Niners. I think it really all comes down to Nick Molins. He needs to have became of his life. Today. Everyone knows you can't run the ball against the Saints Saints defense only given up 80 yards a game second best in the NFL on the ground. So can he get guys involved with explosive plays of the top keeping eye on Brandon I used today He's a talented first round draft pick at Arizona State, a rookie he was out last week due to contact tracing. He's back in today. I think I'll try to get him involved early with some explosive plays. All right. Just think back, though. If you don't mind Barretto for a moment to December 8th of last season, the last time these two teams met, it was out 48 46. It was a pivotal game in the NFC playoff chase. The Saints find themselves in the similar situation. And as you alluded to $40 on a much different place here at this juncture. What a difference nearly a year ago makes for these two franchises. Well, there's no doubt I think most NFL fans remember that game it was. It was a fantasy feast out there Cornucopia fantasy points for everyone involved. They were all happy. And if you had any fantasy players in this game last year, as you mentioned 48 to 46. I think Come in this year we all circled this game thought this might be one of the best regular season games of the year. Obviously, a lots changed, especially for the 40 Niners. Not really much has changed for the Saints, to be honest. Some huge name Guy's house. You mentioned Richard Sherman out today. Debo Samuel George Kittle. Jimmy Garoppolo, where he most Tevin Coleman out for the year. Defore, Nick Bosa, Ben Garland, Weston Richburg. Solomon Thomas. I mean, they have an absolutely decimated with injuries so little bit of a different game. Maybe that we anticipated but I think still has a chance to be a good one. Shawn. At 90% of the offensive touches for the 40 Niners in last year's meeting,.

"I use some time that the tractor is the thing that polls the team whereas the trailer is obviously going along for the ride. I think jimmy garoppolo is more trailer. Been tractor now. He's a nice trailer. He's built trailer. He's a bit more refined. They put some nice pieces on him. He moves a bit easier. He's not one of these older slower. Not as well made rusty trailers like he moves pretty decent He doesn't always hold you back but he's not the best but he is better than average and i think bill belichick would look at the opportunity to get him any probably jump at it. He didn't want to part with jimmy garoppolo. In the first place member he wanted to part ways with brady and he wanted to keep garoppolo. And i think bill belichick would do was he'd look and see that garoppolo still has some years on this deal. He's not making nearly as much as the top quarterbacks in the league at this point because of the way his contract was structured and to be a thing of bill bell check could trade for him. You would then have your quarterback and then he could focus on of on all the other areas of the team he could focus on really looking for a top receiver. He could focus on getting some more defensive help and so on and so forth Other than that. I just don't know where else he would go. But when i look at the niners. I just think this is one of those really funky years. Some teams are just a bit more injury. injury people think of like the eagles or the chargers as teams that just perpetually get her this year. The niners are battling injuries at every single level of their team. I mean what is it again. They have like thirteen players. Or on. I are it does not Acl's and and and messed up knees in in strains richard sherman still hasn't seen the field though the running backs her top tight end. Her receiving core is her. This is just not the rear. So i would take the packers to win the game. I think when it convincingly and i honestly think nick molins like it might not be the worst idea for the niners to go. Forward with nick mullins. I think nick mullins is pretty decent. I think you can do better. Which is why. I think given shanahan's history. I think he would look at a guy. Like matt ryan or a guy like kirk cousins as people to may i in trade for. I don't think that is gonna be bad enough to get a top pick. Maybe they would be aggressive enough to trade a hall of picks to get top quarterback in the draft. But i don't think so So i would look at guys like matt ryan or cousins to come available in hell. They might shock us and they might go ahead and grab another guy free agency. Maybe sam darnold. Maybe they'll try and trade for him. You could always look dak. Prescott cam newton mitch. Trubisky like maybe kyle. Shanahan will just shock us all other than that. I will take the packers to outright win this game and it was coming up next valentine's day get into my expectations versus reality for the entire. Nfl that coming up next topic today. "I don't think that that Carol's gonna care all that much and today in the press room, and it was like, I don't really I'm sure my relationship with Pete Carroll kind of get back to good effectively is what he was saying. Like, he's PK than everything for the franchise. And I'm sure we'll be fine. Eventually because if I think he's done a good job. But when you think of a Wilson he was like, I don't really have a relationship with Wilson. It's not it's not. A thing. I think that maybe that the team will will want to go after him a little bit. And so I'm interested to see what happens, and I think that he will be welcomed warmly in Seattle. He should be he, and yeah, he should be. Absolutely. So yeah, it'll be interesting. I think the Vegas line for the Seattle game is ten points. A lot of points. Do you think the Niners cover covered? You think? It's another Seattle blowout. I think it's another Seattle blowout. I just you know, coming off a loss as bad as it was to Tampa Bay. You're on the road in CenturyLink. And obviously Nick Molins can talk about his ipod and crowd noise as much as you ause. But it's not it's not the same in the Seahawks are coming off a good gaming the Carolina Panthers. Good team in the Seahawks managed to play well and win. So I think that the forty Niners is they're just not where they're at. I don't know that they're going to cover that spread. And I I would venture to guess that they lose something like twenty seven fourteen. And not even that seems maybe a little generous. I just keep thinking to myself how absolutely ridiculous and audit is for Nick Mullins to sit on his couch with crowd noise blasting his ear yelling out forty Niners plays while his girlfriend sits next to him. Go. I've got a lot. I've got a lot of questions about this. Because that's how the article described it. And I'm thinking to myself like okay, girl. What are you? Are you reading a book, are you? Are you knitting across stitch are you trying to watch net flicks? Like, you clearly can't do anything with audio because he is barking. Yeah. Really really long plays. These are twenty word plays. Soliloquy. Just exactly maximum is this is this Shakespeare or tomorrow's game plan. I know so it's got to be something where the TV can't be on Netflix on. But she like can't go into the other room like the had just a really small apartment. Like case you walk the dog, they have pets. Maybe they've got cats maybe their cap people. These are all the things that go through my head on. I think about him just barking out plays at full volume because he's got basically, Dr dre beats planning on the man and his ear crowd noise. But. All right. So I agree with you. I don't think they cover. I think it probably ends up being around ten points. Seventeen twenty seven is probably about right? God. It's just I'm yeah. It's it's not going to be good. But, but hey, it's championship Saturday, Texas is going to be jamming chip and hook them horns. That's all. I'm saying. Yeah. Although the big twelve said, no, you can't do the horns down which is stupid. That's so weird. But it's dumb man at the Texas fan. I it's stupid. If you don't want Oklahoma to do the horns down keep them out of the dams. Yes. Yes. That's what I'm saying. But are Jared. Thanks for another fantastic episode. "UI manning inspect years being a veteran quarterback in the NFL crafting very carefully worded answers by that. But for him in the guys in the locker room, this has to feel great for that group of people who has heard comments about their effort overall the coaching staff. And Pat Shurmur if he's the right guy for the job. Manning the face of that franchise for the better part of the last decade now being questioned not only about his future with the team. But what he can still offer you now and last night. We got a glimpse of that. Now. It wasn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination nineteen of thirty one for one hundred and eighty eight yards but three touchdowns for you lie manning last night, including a pair to Odell Beckham junior and that had been the conversation going into the game. The giants managed to rack up a lot of yards and just not a lot of points at this point and managed to change that and do it in a timely fashion. But sitting there because I come in this morning and Allie who produces the show is a giants fan, and I'm a fan of sport. And watching that ending in a game where I can't believe I watched the entire game between the Niners, and the giants band is that a lot more about me than it. Does about anyone on that field. But I watched the end of that game. And I watched that final drive that was littered with penalties. And really a lackluster game winning drive of sorts. But it still felt good knowing everything that we've been saying about Eli to look all right? You know, what that old line actually held up a little bit and protection last night. And we got to see Eli go down there and get them win again in a way that mattered. And then I remembered it's against the Nick Molins led forty Niners that are all of two eight right now. And I thought man. Were the slowest person were, you know, not the slowest person out running the bear at this point. And then I thought about all right? What does this mean for this team going forward? Because right now maxing out this team's potential, which we can hear Oto Beckham junior giants wide receiver talked about with the crew after Steve Young Suzy kolber. Louis Riddick about getting the most out of this team's potential nights. Like tonight. It's you.

"The run we know that they can create pass rushing or a great challenge. They're going to have next week down in Mexico City against the chiefs. Or we look forward to that one game tonight though that you'll be calling. We're going to get to in a second the giants against the San Francisco forty Niners. But the patriots lose our third game. All three losses on the road. All three losses by double digits at some point. Jason the New England Patriots aren't going to be the New England Patriots. We've known for the last decade and a half. Are we starting to see signs of that? Or are you still not ready to go there? I don't think I can go there yet. I mean, look, I think they're not as good a football team is they've been in the past with their roster in which you see out there. I mean when adamant and gronkowski go down. It's really hard for them to do. They want to run the football and they're good. They're good at running the football. I don't think that they're great at doing that. And then defensively as great as Bill Belichick is scheming up and plays at some point those guys have to make plays. They don't rush the passer. Great. I know they do it by committee and they understand pocket Russia's but. You're seeing a few wrinkles to the pats and they have to play to that formula two with Bill Belichick and Tom Brady at plants such at a high clip and scheming up people. And so I think what you're seeing that people that have been inside that organization the rebels Patricia they kind of understand like, okay? Here's the guy you have to attack because they don't have that skill set like the patriots have had in the past. And so, but I don't think you can ever count them out because Tom Brady is on the field and Bill bell checks breathing. He's always going to have an advantage because the guys just on another level with his ex knows how he schemes it up. Yeah. Listen, we learned long ago never count them out until they're officially out. So we won't do that. And look while we're all in the high trainer ready Jason for next week's Monday night game between the Rams and the chiefs in Mexico City. There is a game tonight at Santa Clara, basically Eli manning against Nick Mullins. I don't think we ever thought that would be the sentence yet here we are. Yeah. I don't think any of us thought it would be here in, you know, it's funny because ever thought that maybe Nick Molins has more jobs occur security than ally. Manning has gone into this game tonight. I know I didn't think that the two time SuperBowl winning champions L. Look two teams that are want to repeal, but they've gone about it completely different ways. You know, we see what New York's doing with trading away, not going with the youth and a lot of different positions and trade me LA apple and snacks Harrison up front, and then San Francisco giving the young guys in there to play trying to find out. Hey, who's going to be on this team? That's going to help us come back when we get healthy and we start year three. So. I don't think these two teams are bad as the record says they are when you look at it. I mean, obviously Nick Mullins played well against Oakland Raiders. I'm anxious to see who he is tonight. But I'm also anxious to see how this giants team respond after the bye, they did not think they would be one in seven after eight weeks ally. Manning did not think that hey, I'll be week-to-week with my starting career going into this season. So I'm excited to see how the giants respond obviously their skill set on the outside with Odell and Ingram and shepherd. See if those guys can get going, and you know, my opinion allies got game by game to prove himself not only for this year. But for the future, we'll see what happens tonight going forward. Monday night. Football giants in San Francisco. Thanks jason. We'll talk to you next week. Thanks. All right, guys. Have a great week. Listen to teams going in different directions at giants going to have to go to a new quarterback at some point still building. Where the San Francisco even though they're two and seven they know their quarterback of the future got hurt and he'll be back again next year, and they're still building for the future. So hell of a lot more going on with the giants right now what the plan was going into the season and how that has failed. And we'll see how quickly it continues to unravel order. They get it going tonight in Santa Clara coming up. We have hold on. We got this breaking news Bengals defensive coordinator. Darrell Austin has been relieved of his duties the source tells ESPN's Josina Anderson that of course, after the fifty one points that the saints put on them so terrible Austin is out of a job. He's also my stream or Josh mccown. Okay. Because he's facing a bills team that throws Inish up Sion's. Like, we talked really know the skin throw the detail, but they get options with touchdowns, and he's going to take advantage of that. Josh mccown can have good games. It's proven that. He can have good games. Okay. Be she'll be in the NFL like nineteen different teams. If he hasn't. Absolutely. I think streamer that you should consider quarterback. I mean, I talked about our Smith already. But I'll talk about a different quarterback. Baker Mayfield is a streamer that you could consider for eighteen fantasy points possibly more. They're playing the falcons what let's not get it to a sit here. The falcons defense is still not very good. The Redskins were not able to take advantage of that last week. But Baker Mayfield at home. He might be able to see some better production. I liked last week that they got Duke Johnson involved with that offense. It gives him the ability to make some easier throws. It gives Baker Mayfield the ability get rid of the ball sooner. So look for him for a streamer this week. We'll speaking of do Johnson and the guy that was low at a couple of weeks going might not be low now. But I still think he is available. Most leagues do Johnson. He is. And I would just take advantage of take that definitely into consideration. Did you or what are you? Go ahead. Just a poor rushing defense. They lay let one hundred thirty eight yards per game average, and that's a lot. If Johnny gets more carries. I think he can improve and Johnson how Bill for quarterbacks. How do you feel about starting Nick Molins streamer, honestly? They're facing a really bad joins team. And they're at home again, and they are at home again. And it's a prank and they've had a lot of week two. They've had a lot of preparations. They played on Thursday of last week. So they're getting a full like eleven days in between. So yeah, let's let's go with that. We can make a mystery Mark. Okay. So for running back. I know it talked about earlier he's not a streamer because he has not available in most leagues.

"You raise a really good point with the this idea of the peaks and valleys that you're getting with CJ Beathard. I think you're right that CJ Beathard best. A what we've seen from him. When he's at his best is a pretty impressive player, maybe not a long-term starter. But definitely has the tools to play in the NFL. However, his worst is pretty bad. And you know, the five turnover performance against the cardinals for the entire team is what what lost that game in CJ Beathard to obviously directly impact that turnover differential, and if neck Molins as you mentioned can just sort of be consistent, and maybe every once in a while make these big time throws one two maybe three a game cow Shanahan's gonna do the rest, and it's going to get guys open with average at best talent in Nick Molins, maybe the consistency there because I don't know that not I don't know the forty Niners. Don't see Nick Mullins yet as a long term option at quarterback. I doubt they ever will. But maybe this guy really is the deal. However, there is something to be said for sort of consistency in knowing what you're gonna get every week and being able to operate in within that knowledge and do everything else right to put the team in a position to succeed right now. Nick Mones is probably the guy that does that. I think in in that case should get the starting nod. But I don't know that you know, you're looking at this guy, even as a immediate backup long-term. There's still a lot to be seen there some stuff that he does. Well, there's some stuff that needs to get cleaned up. And perhaps what might be best is to just have Kyle Shanahan keep doing his thing. Yeah. I think the one area where Nick Mullins really impressed me was his performance against the blitz, and this speaks I think to something that fans have identified, and I think a little rightfully so which is the speed of processing or the mental processing that Nick Mullins displayed in this game that we haven't always seen from CJ Beathard it. I think it's a little difficult to to kind of unpack in discern really what it means. For a quarterback to have really really quick mental processing because I think that lots of times this gets thrown in lumped in with kind of like you're a dumb quarterback. You're a smart quarterback you, and I think sometimes honestly, this has racial overtones. You're black quarterback of your white quarterback. But I think that that mental processing for a quarterback is something that you can measure, and that is something that is there. And when you look at the performance against the blitz specifically, Nick Mullins, performed really really well didn't get blitzed a lot. He was blit six times..

"Apprecia- and this week. It is a win Wednesday, and it's actually Tuesday because we're coming at you from the past it's Tuesday voting day, and it went Wednesday. It's all of amazing this smashed up into one day that is not following any rules of the space time continuum and with me as always is co host, Mr. Jerod Brown Jared. How are you doing today? I'm doing good a day earlier than normal but excited to get at it earlier than normal. Thanks to the Thursday night game in in a little bit of an extended break for the forty Niners to at a good time. That's exactly right. So before we get into the final battle of the ban the game recap. I'm super interested to hear about how you're going to vote on I think prop seven because that's the daylight savings time one, right? I believe that is in. I you know, I've thought about it a little bit because Aaron is one of the places that doesn't do it. There are some drawbacks in both cases, particularly as a teacher. It's kind of nice right now when I go to school in the mornings that it's light out whereas just two weeks ago. I was getting to school rolling around six thirty or so kinda prepping and do an early bird stuff and his dark out and just sort of sets a sort of ominous tone. So I actually kinda dig setting falling back a little bit. So that I get the little bit of daylight in the morning. But I also understand wanting to keep it lighter a little later. It outta here with this politician answer. This non answer answer. It. You can't say both are. Okay. I I'm pinning it down in honor of voting day highly diplomatic. I think I I'd vote to keep it. Oh, man. Yeah. To get rid of it. Get rid of I'm I'm voting from afar with spirit only for California stuff because I'm over here voting in Texas elections, but it wasn't deed the battle of the bay. I have got a Turpin dream APA in American pale ready to go because that game was indeed a dream. I mean, we said at the beginning or in our preview we said the best quarterback is going to win. We just had no idea that best quarterback was going to be McMullan's yet. I did not see that. Come. I mean, I don't know that anybody saw it coming maybe perhaps accept Kyle Shanahan or assumed that he could make it happened on the less, but Nick Molins played. Not not lights out. But better than what the raiders could get their quarterback to play a whether that's coaching whether that's scheme. Whether that's other players around him either way. Nick woolens was the best quarterback on the field. And as a result. Like we thought the forty Niners came out on top pretty impressive while the forty Niners. Do indeed win the final battle of the bay the forty Niners one maybe their most complete game of the Cal Shanahan era. Their highest offensive output of two thousand eighteen thirty four points tied for their third highest offensive output overall in the collar Shanahan era. Of course, the Jaguars forty four points was tops Rams with could O'Brien Hoyer thirty nine points. And then the Rams again and that meaningless week seventeen game thirty four points the forty Niners defense had eight sacks. They are now tied Jared get this. They're not tied for seventh in the NFL. With twenty four sacks on the back of that aid sack performance and they had to turnovers in the game that plus two turnover margin incident. Really tied for the second highest total and the highest attorney over margin in the Shanahan era. Actually, that's surprising. Just because I don't generate a turnovers but overall in terms of a complete game. This was as big and as complete of a game as the forty Niners have ever put together in the Cal Shanahan era. And it took a pretty hapless Oakland Raiders team in order to do it. Typically, the forty Niners..

"Africa twenty-five on the shotgun. Mullin's looking first NFL pass complete to Goodwin, right flat. Runs to the sideline gets the first town angled himself right to the Oakland side and just crossed the thirty five per gain of eleven found Cayenne VR tonight. France through Hoffer. That was Nick Mullins first completion in the NFL tonight. He was sixteen for twenty two to sixty two with three touchdowns didn't get touched wants no sacks for the raiders because they had one hit. One hit no sacks though. No, no sack on the other side, though, the forty Niners getting after Derek Carr, and he played pretty conservative tonight to be honest with you he was he was he was sliding more than it. Wore Nunez was in one game three, and you, and I were texting you, and I are specific play about him, you know, rolling out. And why why would you why would you roll out go out of bounds? Why wouldn't you just throw it away? They're in the red zone or just outside red zone. I drive right. And he rolls out to his right towards a us as viewers wrecked on the screen and. He was waiting for something to open up. And then when it didn't he like reach the ball out. But still had a two yard lost them. Like, I I just want to know why quarterbacks. She's don't toss away. I think they're that close to the sideline. I'm just wondering. I I've never been there. I'm not saying why didn't use. I would like to know why I think Derek Carr every time I watch Derek Carr this year, and it really has been this year. He's been trying to do way too much. I think he just tries to do too much. I think he over thinks he's over analyzing things. This is what I've been seeing thinker. Yep. He's a thinker. And I think he over things and he just he's trying to make a play. I mean, he had he was he just played. Well, no doubt. I mean look a few years ago when they opened up the season in New Orleans against the saints. He was diving over the top of the pile. And it was like how dare what are you doing? This is part of the DNA. I think it does try to do too much at times, which may may be a factor. Why he's absolutely. I mean, look at the numbers Nick malls was sixteen for twenty two. Derek Carr was sixteen for twenty one. They had to bring AJ McCarron who ended up getting. Sacked by the way. Oh my God. I've terrible. All right. We'll continue this conversation. I'll get to the phone calls eight. Oh, I can't be ours. A number Niners beat the raiders Thursday night football thirty four to three like, I promised Morgan and Dray. Let's go to mulligan. I he's in San Jose mulligan. Thank you so much for hanging on the line. I wasn't too long way. Can you hear me? Okay. Perfect. Louis. So let me give you my opinion. Tell me you wanna walk right now. Question. Three dogs. Yeah. I just stopped in the middle of Iran. Nice. Not very very slow run. No anyways. Don't tell me straight up. Don't you agree? CJ Beathard winds that game tonight. Absolutely. Absolutely. But at the same time, we have to think in reality to write like who who who played tonight, Nick Mullins, and he got the and he looked good. So it's what front of you. Obviously, it's it's not a very good raider defense. It's not a very good writer team defense. But at the same time, you still have to do it. And it's still your first start. You're still dealing with all the same nerves that every guy goes through when they're making their first start. But anyway, let me get back to my point is. Okay. Let's wait. Let's hold off on the Hugh fauria until he plays against the elite pass rush. So who do they play after the giants? They have a bye, right? And then who do they play playing the buccaneers in Tampa that's on the twenty fifth. That's right after that's the that's the Sunday after thanksgiving. How's your pass rush? Campus pass rival middle, Pat. Yeah, it's probably like what does it fish sixteenth in the NFL middle of the pack by defensive actually that'll be a good test because okay, that'll be a decent. Good pass rush. So here, here's my main point. I wanna make less. A long time. And what I noticed about great leaders in sports like football weather, so much like split-second decision making you have to make a quarterback. It's the guys that have the really like low blood pressure when. Chaos is just breaking up all around you. You don't get. Keep your head and you still make your reach. So I wanna ask you on that note you blame CJ for that interception against the Packers that let them win the game. Or was that the scheme, or or you know, I think a lot of it? We've we've seen over the last couple of years is that like when things start the chaos. They talked about happens things start speeding up, and I agree. It happens. I mean, I played with guys that were unbelievable pressure came on and things started to speed up on him. And you're seeing a bats go away. What's the same thing in any sport? Right. So so it's kinda looking like CJ got his, you know, he got his report card, and I guess it's not a good the poor cart. And I think that Green Bay game was like the turning point where we've just gotta try something else. And I think it's based on navy temperament like, you know, the quarterback of all people has to have certain temperament now, let another so I. I think he's got a lot of that. In a lot of that happens to be. You see it here. You don't see it there? But I think a lot of it. And I was talking about earlier was he's taken such a beating your yes, I know over his career since clearly. Early in his short career. Easy to lose that confidence. It's it's easy to lose. Making and not feel comfortable where Nick bullets came into night. And he had you know, things happen for him that that built that confidence that we haven't been able to see with CJ because of you know, maybe some defenses they face maybe their offense obvious, not obviously, but their offensive line last year was was depleted because of all the injuries. Yeah. You'd never know if that report card for me, it's still incomplete with CJ bathroom for me. It is because I think there's a lot of things surrounding it. Were you still don't know? I'm with you on that, France. And I think I think it's too small of a sample size to really get very much too small. On who he is as a quarterback. But he does hold you bring up. Great point. You do you do I think CJ holds the ball a little bit too long at times. We saw me ask you one last question. Yeah. Go ahead. Go ahead. Okay. One last question. Do you think the book on Jimmy G is that he's not really a Russell Wilson type escape artist? And that if you trap them in the pocket, he has he can do, you know? I think I'm going to be honest and say that his book is not even like we have no clue. Well, no one really has a full clue of what he is. Now, we do know is he's got a damn good arm. He's got a quick release. He's got belief behind him. You know behind him in front of them all that stuff by his teammates. It's just we need to see obviously, the Niners gave him a huge contract. And I think it's well deserved. Why? Because he gave a belief to the franchise. And the fan base that we haven't seen in a long time. So yeah. Now with that being said, there's still I mean his is incomplete. Sure. But I do I do have a feeling these Jimmy G is going to be the real deal when he comes back, and he's healthy. What? Judgment. Kyle has great judge. I believe he does take amazing players don't they Essex player, aren't they really a foreign five. Let's be honest. I mean, maybe, but let's also take into account all the injuries that have been stacked up. If MacKinnon was healthy. If Jimmy G was healthy. It's very hard to say what this team would look like it really is. And what I like it. You're talking about leadership earlier mulligan is with all those injuries and everything going on. And you could see there's all those injuries on the raiders side, the quick nam, and the constant of these guys, and it's not moral victories. But that is a big thing in the culture. Look, a culture a winning culture only starts with what ws. That's it. That's how you get a winning culture. You got to win. It'd be awesome. If Jon Gruden at sat on TV, he should've said. He should've said, look, I got outcoached tonight. And I been out of the league average say that he'll I mean, it would be great if he did. But he'll miss. Say that he's got a guaranteed nine more years after this. Say that he should say absolutely not really should say should go on team and go, you know, what we don't care about the next year and a half, and Oakland, we're all getting ready for Vegas. If he said that I'll be honest with you. I feel better out feel a lot better as a fan just knowing that that exists is exactly what the route is that. We're not just speculating about it. Yeah. Why don't you have to rebuild their lines? Don't they do everything this team sucks mulligan rebuild staff? All start in the trenches in all starts in the trenches. And their trenches are just I think Colin Miller got hurt tonight. He was playing hurt. I really do. I really do that. Thank you mulligan. Appreciate. And you know, one of the things I do disagree with is like you. You can't get you fork over this win and not about the long term. But in the short term, dude, it's hard to win and sport. Yeah. Right. Especially professional sports. And that's you know. No. Do you have to celebrate a win? I mean, you tell me, I don't know. I I've never been into. Well, that's what I've talked to you about it in the past. Why brought like the five machine. The almost like the disco balls and stuff. Washing because in Philly. It got such it was so stale after wins because they want so much it became like. All right. Great. You know, the fact is it's tough. And you work your bought off all day right in baseball. I say all day because you play every day. In football. You practicing all week. You practicing all summer for that one game. The first game you practice all week for that one game. Celebrate it. So yeah, you know, what? When when people I think, it's overboard when you say Nick Mullins is the answer. But you know, what? I don't think it's overboard when you say Nick Molins played a hell of a game tonight. He played absolutely fantastic. The team was fantastic tonight. And then you leave it there. You'll live on that you build off that. But you don't say that this is like the answer to everything right now. It's not it's not just it's like I said it's a confidence building win..

"In Los Angeles. Here's death. Carson was the first career start for forty Niners quarterback. Nick Molins had a stellar night. Threw for two hundred sixty two yards and three touchdowns as the Niners beat the raiders thirty four to three how did he prepare? Once. He knew he was going to be the starter. No preparation stayed pretty consistent studied the plan. Always going to be ready with my name was called and it was called. And so I just tried to do the best that I could. And the team did the best that we could play. Great sound football three faces a game San Francisco just its second one of the season. But the raiders fall to one and seven and bad news for the Niners after Rahim mustard scored on a fifty two yard touchdown run in the third quarter. He ended up leaving the game with a pretty gruesome forearm injury. And NFL media reports said it is indeed a broken forearm. The dodgers have agreed to a one year deal with infielder, David free deal with infielder. David freeze. Sir. I look cute now. But when my owner losses job it was rough. I was living on the street. "Of steps in the last two games. Baiting targeted for green. I'll keep them. I'll keep him on the squad. And then I'll be like normal. I'll be a week behind he'll blow up this week. And then next week. I'll play him. Here's a question. And I'll let you go on this from Lawrence. I'm fighting for last place. So I guess things haven't been going. Well for him Russell Wilson or Alex Smith. You gotta go with Russell Wilson. You can't I never wanna put an Alex Smith on purpose. Like unless there's two by weeks. And if I don't have another option, I just he's going to win games. But he's not gonna win a shoot out. It's gonna be seventeen fourteen type game. But I go Russell Wilson. Well, Andy Reid doesn't put in Alex Smith either unless he has to. I appreciate the time in the inside. And I'm looking at the boy, what is it Muller? Muller was the kid's name that's gonna start for the Niners, Nick Mullins, Nick. Nick molins. We have to the same college Brett farve. Apparently if you can get Oakland or San Francisco defense or jets are dolphins defense way to go this week if any of those four available actually grapple why? The dolphins are actually the cheapest defense and drive time sports fantasy football is like, are you kidding me? So I grabbed them I mean, I usually look at the bottom of the list for defenses. But I this week. I feel pretty good about it. Appreciate the time in good luck this weekend. Good luck to you. Thanks, Matt Wiley gazette joining us here on drive time sports, you could give them a follow on Twitter at M W Coyote coming up next. It's crunch time here on Xtra sports.

"A roster spot aren't even get a get a whip of the field because they don't wanna put any of those players under any kind of risk of of injury so it was going to be really at all times oh we see nick mullins a cuba we might might see him your bryant lawyer certainly when it suited up uh yeah i don't know i think that they feel wanna see bad third get him some staff are he looks like he was the number two guy and then barkley i can't imagine it it beth thirds a number two i can't imagine they keep barkley on the team so what that means is you know they would release him and if they need a 'nother quarterback later you know no one's gonna be taking him up but i would think that they would want to eat nick molins around for the practice squads so that he could make his exhibition debut tonight as we go the nick mullin show a man i'm going to watch it tonight said is to see that so many if they only do keep to quarterbacks that is definitely a risk you you wrote that in your piece it embassies force buried i comp so i mean how likely is that a bold prediction by you there is that something that you think makes a ton of sense roster wise because all of a sudden you go into a carolina opener earned a brian tweaks his ankle comes each that third hey kid no pressure he yeah this way you your no team has three quarterbacks active on game day anyway okay so you're going to go into these games with hoyer it bettered active and not have it a number three auction which is which all teams had to quarterbacks up on game day but a poor you're where to get injured this in on sunday night mad barkley is is on a on a plane from southern california coming up to the bay area because he on no one's going to claim yemen put him on their 53man so your your brain him back into the building in in bed he would.
