"Through the 1st 4 innings that only thrown 45 pitches so He's been throwing strikes and he has been very efficient. The wines, and here it comes. Has a foul popped up off to the right side and back into the lower deck. So it's one ball and two strikes down the ride. He's had a good feel of everything. Really his dollars at the inside part of the strike, so with that fastball has really been what has set up all of his other pitches. He's wanted to go inside and get a type to these right handed hitters for the Pirates. He's done it. Can I bum going with one of two counts? Walker. The wines, and here it comes. It's too high with a fastball. Two. Expect for Bumgarner number 50 on the night very economical with Which is at the end of the fifth inning. You wantto have 75 or less. Two and two pitch. Swing it a little slow bouncer foul on the third day signed over to the third base coach Nick Leyva still too. Ranted Crawford, who Got to the big leagues in 2011 the year after the Giants won that World Series against Texas. Bumgarner. Start in. I'm going who pitched a very pivotal game, and he's shut out the Rangers for eight innings in Game four to give the Giants or three games to one lead in that Siri's 12 pitch way outside and high with a changeup down straight into, There's been three easy takes. This is bad. This has led to the three count 32 count. I know you. You have a form. If you leave it with nobody out, this becomes a big pitch. You don't want to start walking the leadoff hitters in a playoff game. I'm gonna wines 32 pitch. Missy's struck him.

"Hour. Sponsored by the San Jose earthquakes, and your local norcalhondadealers on Kenyan Biard, ten fifty v sports leader. Now, here's your host, Tim rating. Welcome back to the soccer hour on KFI fifty. He's more win. I'm Ted Ramey. And more of a lot of people are reacting about national team talk. I do wanna get into the men's stuff. We saw unfortunately but start with the women yesterday or two days ago yesterday that was yester-. Yes, sorry, I'm all over the place. They destroyed Thailand thirteen nil. Alex Morgan of Berkeley bear Pac twelve products. We know if you don't like Cal. You like the Pac twelve she arrived for five goals tying women's World Cup record. They demolished Thailand. But suddenly afterwards people were saying, oh, it's bad sportsmanship. It's this, it's that and I'm saying to myself. Wait a minute. You look at the goal differential in the group stage, A B Thailand in qualifying. I think beat a team ten or twelve nothing. And then also see it's the World Cup. You celebrate those goals, but I was not a professional athlete. You were where are you on this? Marv is it legit to be celebrated thirteen victory or to run up the score. Especially when you sub on, Kristen press, for instance, or was this, a bad look for the US you score as many goals possible. No absolute no doubt about it. The fact that there is a goal differential in terms of if there were a tie in records. Absolutely this again rural Cup biggest grandest stage are not nice. We do not have friends on the other team. We are not saying after the game you might say good game handshake. Say good luck. But that's if they're lucky. Otherwise, you, you get off the pitch and you and you get ready for your next game while they have to get ready for the earth. There's no mercy allowed in this sport. Just especially at the. World Cup stage. Absolutely. When I was watching it, though. I did say that they once had scored I don't know some huge number goals game, which is probably four for me. Their celebrations. I was I was a bit taken back on that was like, I don't know. They should be celebrating so hard for the goals. Now. I mean I get it. That's okay. Then, you know, like you've been here before I guess, that's the one part, I was kind of backed off on, but I mean, even meeting all those goals, scored which is to. I didn't really have celebrations involved. I wasn't a big celebrator, but I mean that was the one thing that I would question. But in terms of just maybe they should stop scoring. Absolutely not. Absolutely not. Get that take. I just think it's the World Cup. If you want to celebrate, you know, you've earned that, right? And I also think that it speaks to the greater fact, and I know it's maybe more you and I are more aware of it maybe than the general public who check in every four years on the women's seem like I watch a lot of the women's games. I watch NWS L games. I keep very up on the on the women's game. The amount of pressure that the United States are, are under entering this tournament. It's massive because it's not just the World Cup. It's that the US women are held to a higher standard than any other club or any other country on this planet, and then also it's in light of the fact that they're embroiled in a lawsuit with US soccer. So they're coming out, saying, we deserve equal pay. And also, they lose during that that's going to affect things. I'm not saying it's valid, but the lawsuit also plays a factor in this as well. And they're thinking we need to go out here and show the world that not only are we the best. But we deserve equal pay as well. I think all these things factor in. So for them to have that release of pressure after all this build up over the past couple of years. I thought that was a factor as well. I don't doubt it and I completely one hundred centigrade to you that in terms of saying they deserve to celebrate every goal they score one hundred percent I absolutely believe you because they are under all this pressure at all. If the US women's seem were to win a game by just two goals, they would be criticized. Yeah. And pretty much almost any team by way you barely one push. That's, that's terrible. The players like I mean again being defender talking. It's know. I'm trying to keep the goals out. But if I do my job in the goal is the game is boring because it's just there's no goals. So there that standard to go into all talking about American audiences. Because the more goals equals a better game instead of game play defensive player, what have you? But we're speaking to you soccer lovers out there. You understand. We're also having their whole thing with the US soccer and whatnot. The if they're trying to make a statement and say we deserve what they want to get out of the negotiations. They want and deserve it. I mean, we know this history and if they're trying to really try to knock on their door with performances. They're, they're kicking the door downs. Yup. Even if it is. I would say the US sucker fans for women's soccer were watching this game saw that. And they're going to watch the next game brings Morteza. This brings more is space where love to the sport. The thing that gets me. Marv is that this women's team if I make an apples to oranges comparison, that's lazy sports talk. But they remind me of the Golden State Warriors, because they can come at you from so many different angles. They have so many shooters. They have so many scores and it just seems to be like Jill Ellis confront out, whoever she wants and say, try and stop us and puts teams on the on the back foot immediately. I mean when you're subbing on Kristen press, when you have her to come off the bench and voivode. I'm a huge Chris van she's done. Great interviews with me. She's a Stanford grad, but I mean when she's coming off the bench, one of the elite scores in the world. How do you stop that you cry and corner? Well the thing is this is this is I can only imagine what the scouting report was like for teams going into you just you just see them with a old school. Along that long stick, pointing to a board and you're saying, so here the dangerous people. Well. Okay as well. I don't know where to start basically, whoever has the drawback defend and then try to catch him on a counter. There's just so much firepower. How what are you gonna do? It's but then they also Thailand, whenever they did possess the ball got trust so fast and they lost it. So quick, that there was there was, there was absolutely no room to breathe just with this seven or eight different goalscorers as well. I mean that just makes the whole team as a whole again, as opposed to saying, we have these one or two, strikers, that are dangerous, and we try to get them the ball and, and hopefully they could put in the back today. Instead, it's just good movement. Good. Again. Good shooters pieces were much point. And. I couldn't even tell you about the keeper of the defense. Yeah. I mean, what are you, what, are you gonna do? You haven't even they haven't even been a not only have not been tested. They've, they were probably hardly. They were hardly game. Just powerful. Powerful powerful. Now. It was it was. It was a dominant performance. Again, you're on the soccer hour on Cambio fifty brought to you by your norcalhondadealers. You could say Marv it was the exact opposite of what we've seen from the United States men's team as of late coming off of two consecutive losses. The most recent one three nothing Venezuela Nick Leyva was one of the few guys who actually looked good. I think there's a lot of. I don't mean to sell like a Homer, but I would rather have Chris Waddle Ascii thirty six years old injustice. Art is right now. Jazz artist hasn't scored a goal for the US in two years. It doesn't look like he's about to at any time. I just I look at the offense and I just saw team. Just look disorganized. Even have any of the, the interesting movement. You saw the January friendly's the toll teams. Look very, very stagnant. Yeah. I said before how they don't need to get a win. They need to look good and give us something to look or two in that. I don't think that was achieved person on my front, I would say. Yeah. Washing them play. It was it looked safe. They were trying to possess the ball, trying to feel out the other team, but they were trying so long that they ended up down, and I there wasn't much at all. Really good. See, I was I was trying to find the positives. And it okay there's decent I guess possession going on there. Couple of half chances. Okay. That's good. That's good. We're we have some light. But I didn't see much. Like you said, you don't wanna be home all that. I would I'd have to say the person that look like they were trying to win the game. Most was Nick Lima watch his crosses. Those are definitely beta crosses. He got that from the San Jose earthquakes. He had a few great crosses in the second half early in, they start off early on. And it's like he's trying to get players. Any trying to get them in even Josie gave them thumbs up. Clap, clap. You know, trying to egg to do more, but it's just I couldn't really say one thing that I was like they need more this more that it was. Just I, I don't I don't see what I was hoping to see just wonder in terms of the pressure that Gregg Berhalter under. I mean, how how long is his leash going to be is he going to get this full cycle, especially if batteries bolts continuing, I don't know. Why isn't why isn't sergeant out there? You know what I mean? These are just the questions you start having to wonder about. And I don't know. Man. It's, it's, it's obviously it's tough situation but US fans are growing a little bit impatient. And where were you on this right now? I on that diplomatic both sides, sort of thing. It's, it's difficult to say how US occur once a completely revamping of the entire. Are you at soccer system after we did make the World Cup? So we got to start off. I gotta start off, but then we get someone new and fresh start off on a different way. But then we also resulted mmediately in terms of winning every game off the bat and all that. That's not really how rebuilding starting things off a new works. It is disheartening to see positive things, and then convert negative things we don't want it to be negative to start. And then progressively, get better and better and better homes earthquakes, right? But seeing some positive kind of go down up and now we're not sure what will happen in win..
