"It doesn't lead to the destruction of all individuals it doesn't lead to the destruction of our sports and so for nick diaz to get an opportunity to fight again not only to me symbolizes his comeback as a fighter but it also symbolizes the way that we have changed the view and perception of marijuana use showing. The world is coming around right people. I can't believe they were treating these athletes for using marijuana smoking was generally. Would you would think would mess with the cardio. In the same way. They were treating athletes that were taking steroids. People were taking steroids getting suspended for year. Nick has added originally like a three to four year suspension. for marijuana. It was always ridiculous. It was always ridiculous. And i'm glad that the us has not understood that it was ridiculous. You saw it is now treating it as if it was ridiculous which you cannot do an in competition so what that says is for a period of time before you go into the competition you have got to stop you gotta lay off the we you gotta lay off. The marijuana got off the brownies. And whatever else you doing to try to medicate yourself going into the fights because they want you to not only be Healthy and off of it but also in shape and not put yourself at risk to not be into going on in the moment right. 'cause anybody that's ever smoked done anything knows that it slows you down and you're as calm and relaxed as you can. They don't want you to deal with that. Yes we'll take some time away from the marijuana in going competition it doesn't really affect. Nfl as much right. Because you're always in competition week. You have time to not be in competition during the season so you got to kind of lay off the marijuana during that time. But i'm glad that nick is back. I'm excited to call the fight. And i cannot wait for the reaction that nick has is going to get when he hits the curtain in a t mobile arena on saturday eh. "But i feel different. I feel retired. Because i want to spend my time on the golf course whereas the head time do a triathlon. He spends his time on the bike. He's vince his armitage jitsu. He's not living the life of retired fodder even noise away from the sport. So i can't imagine that he's gonna look pretty similar and he got the right kind of matchup right. It's not like he was forced into one of the fights. I looked like he was going to get. I mean there were rumors of guys. Comes out your maya right now. Guys like new magazine guys. Kamara loose mon mike. What are we doing here. We can't put him in there with those guys. Like robin lawler. Dice fought before yup a guy that is a former champion but has not looked great lately. you put in the right type of matchup that not only can be competitive but it also touches on the soldier right of a time. Where nick as rob hall to to fats. Been walking the face of the planet right until you get that and get very competitive fight so i expect a fight on saturday. I'm excited for this fight. I mean as excited. Because when i think nick and stockton i just remember that sons of anarchy was Was set in a fictional place that was supposed to be right next to stockton and dudes remind me of that so much so i just get excited even thinking about it but when you talk about nick diaz layoff. You can't talk about that without what he was taking that lay off four and it was obviously marijuana. Use and things have changed both in the nfl. Obviously in the afc as it pertains to marijuana use and you know we wanted to get a little bit of a little bit more insight into that. So here's jeff novitsky going to kind of bring us through how the ufc now sees marijuana use. Marijuana still prohibited in competition. But we're not gonna use your earner blood excretion to measure that the amount of thc comes out in your urine as very little if any correlation with impairment of being under the influence or high on marijuana when you look at the historical dealing with marijuana. It's more of socially she drugs are bad versus what anti-doping should eat make sure the athlete doesn't have managed or make sure the athletes harming themselves by being under the influence the ufc's preference would be that are athletes not use any drugs and substances none. So this shouldn't be taken at the. Us's out advocating for for athletes to use marijuana but the reality is our athletes train hard compete hard not like normal human beings and what they put their bodies through so many of them have conditions where they need drug or substance to treat. You looked at the pharmaceutical choices. They're very highly addicted. And you know. I understand why some of these athletes make the sitting that they prefer to go the route to marijuana to treat these things. Dad that to me that makes total sense that is looking at marijuana use with some common sense right it with a rational and logical mind. I remember when i was on the nfl pa executive board and we were talking with the nfl about raging raising the level of thc. It took to get a positive test in the nfl. And the guy right here. Wait this guy right here. I got when i was on the nfl executive board alley. Here man. I just don't understand that. Sometimes i look at you and i'm like wow do right here. Dc's continue decent. Not all of us could be libyan wrestlers. Not all of us can be to visit champions. Some of us have to do some other things. And now is part of what i did and at the time and at the time you marijuana use was something that was foreign to me and not in the sense of i had never seen people. Do it like my homeboys. And all of that you know they smoked marijuana and all would ever do like i never had an issue from. They just ate my food and play video games. And so now when you look at the way it's being used in sport i think of richardson right security. Richardson lost opportunity to be in olympia in because of marijuana use and now to hear jeff novitsky say marijuana use as long as you're not in a position to hurt yourself as long as it's not putting you in a position to have some type of advantage as far as performance goes. That's what we're looking at. And i think about the nfl net since as well them thinking to themselves. Okay we need to raise the level of thc. It's to get a positive test and honestly and be honest. Get popped for a positive test for marijuana. Nfl you're just stupid. You're stupid and you're undisciplined. Because they give you the dates within you within which you can be tested in. Because i think the world is starting to see marijuana use differently obviously is being legalized and so many different states. But also when you think of the alternative which we heard jeff novitsky mentioned during that piece. The alternative is worse than the people that get addicted to. Opiates the people who we see going into rehab for painkillers to wait at that affects athletes after they retire. And so. i'm so glad that now we're finally coming to a place to where we understand that. This type of self medication does not lead to destruction. It doesn't lead to the destruction of all individuals. It doesn't lead to the destruction of our sports and so for nick d. to get an opportunity to fight again not only to me symbolizes his comeback as a fighter but it also symbolizes the way that we have changed the view and perception of marijuana use showing. The world is coming around right people. I can't believe they were treating these athletes for using marijuana smoking was generally. Would you would think would mess with the cardio. "He wins like all of these. People are getting these opportunities. Because we had a chance to watch conor mcgregor do it. I'm not saying that. Conor mcgregor went over there. "You know what that means. They see that more people need to sponsor the shows on because we will actually give you money you see networks also to dc. I know you drew me through my direct tv ad. Now appreciate it. But also i'm starting to feel like you only tweet me when you have an issue with me. You know i put out. What i thought was a very elegant tweet this week and i said you know what i said jake. Paul gets the boxes. Opponents because of conor mcgregor silver bell for woodley ortiz aspirin all got an extra cheque because of connor when congress did across from the greatest boxer of his error of our era. Fifty floyd mayweather tweet that. But that's what saying that now. He held his own and he gave all of this credence. I said love or hate it. You got a respected and all of a sudden. Dc you come at me and you're like well and then you're probably talking in your new warrior. I'm an actor voice. You were like well. Ryan agree somewhat. Also have to disagree and i'm wondering i'm like why is. Dc talking to me act voice on twitter so tell me dc. Where'd you disagree with that. Because i think that it's such a unique circumstance. Under which conor mcgregor got to fight floyd mayweather. It's conor mcgregor. So it doesn't really lend itself to an actual tyron woodley. It just doesn't seem to be on the same scale right. Connor do anything so. Connor started talking about fighting. Floyd i instantly thought it was a possibility right instantly. I never questioned. Whether or not he would go in there and there were a number of people that believed that he could win the fight on the other side. Connor didn't necessarily hold his own against floyd. That's where i wholeheartedly disagree. Okay wrong but it was eight. Rose two zero in the ninth round. Got not look. He held his old floyd mayweather. But it's like. I know that impossible is not real with conor. Mcgregor to watch woodley. Fight a j. paul. That doesn't seem as farfetched when tired woodley's not in a ufc anymore. When tire woodley is about forty if not forty has lost as many fights roy's he's done and many people thought tired woodley was going to get beat by j. paul whereas with connor. He's in a ufc. Got the us's blessing to do it and he went and fought the greatest fighter of all era. I need four is the best boxer of all time. And kinda got to fight as an amateur. How did this thing get sanctioned. How despite sanctions because it was fifty it got sanctioned because they will both stars right and and i understand what you're saying the this is what you're doing. Dc your. This is why they gave us a show together. Because you're the fighter you want to look at everything from an analytical fighting perspective and you're always wrong that's why they gave us a show dc. So i can set you straight. What what what you gotta say bro. What are you being. I'm always wrong absolutely right right now. Because the reality is even people on the inside did not take. That tired was going to fight. Beat jake paul but dc. This is your got the blessing to go. And do that ryan. It's a different deal. You're dc and guys that are outside of the company fighting in these fights towards the now i've seen the war highrise now the ufc the war. Agar's you'll the war you got to do this. Wow still under controversy with the you see. i was nobody's talking about contracts mr. ufc. Mr division champ. Nobody's talking about that. See call what i'm talking about. Is this before conor. Mcgregor crosses over and everything else you said is correct in the sense that he got the. Ufc's blessing why because conor mcgregor stepping into that world brought more is to the brought more is to imitate. I personally didn't think conor mcgregor stood a chance which he didn't. I understand when i say held its own. I don't mean the fact that i ever thought floyd was in trouble. What i meant was he looked the part. Even though all we've ever seen was conor mcgregor and reebok tights. We're putting on no shorts. Putting on those boots. He looked the part in the ring he even landed a great uppercut at one point. You're like oh my goodness conor mcgregor with listen to that point. Is this point. Is this right now. Obviously jake paul drives the entertainment jake. Poll drives the brand. But we watch somebody like bin aspirin who i know if i stand across from been asking with gloves. I feel comfortable right. We watch him going to ring against j. Paul because we say you know what we've seen. Mma fight crossover before anderson silver. Who's one of the greatest silver who's one of the greatest strikers of all gets the opportunity to fight chavez junior. It's anderson silva if you watched him strike you know that he can stand on his feet and throw hands and what happens. He wins like all of these. People are getting these opportunities because we had a chance to watch conor mcgregor do it. I'm not saying that. Conor mcgregor went over there. It could actually beat other boxers but he stood across from floyd mayweather. And we pay to see it so now when these other when these guys are being called out to box dc we give credence because we've seen it before. Where do we see it. We didn't see a conor. No because you're you're making this organization origami. It's not that how much changing argument you saw a usov ijaz drop the top look at that a. Rc i was up here. It looks like you got a little shorter. I look. I just dropped the top off. The top order to finish this up ryan. I'm not changing arguing. I'm just telling you that i get it. I get that did it at a bigger level but we have seen what we what we haven't seen before and what we haven't seen again is what conor mcgregor did commercial any organization. "I think i got some big decisions to make in my career and figure out where we go from here. You know. it's super frustrating. To to lose to a guy that the that you feel like you can be once. I got inside of the kicking range. I i didn't. I didn't feel like he was boxing. Me the second round on as far as the striking. When i felt fine once i adjusted the range. I got to the clinch. Like i wanted to. You got to his body. Just i wasn't able to finish the a lot of those spots. So i don't know one eighty five still really tough. It's a total lifestyle change in its year round. It's not like one of those things where i can get into camping in. Change change my diet and cut down. It's a complete lifestyle change. Which is i guess. That's one of the options and all the guests. The other options is takes. Time often gear bigger. So i don't know some things decided you know when you look at anthony smith here right. He's very concerned and he has. A lot of questions are seating. But let me tell you why these questions were going through his head rockets. I'm sorry i called him breakage before. Alexander rockies is a prospect right in when you lose a championship fight and you have a young hot guy on his way up the rankings. They will put you in front of him. Almost as a stepping-stone. So when ashley smith loses this fight he starts to see himself as maybe a bit of a gatekeeper right here. Don't want that in your career but then you lose to work rock edge and then they put you in there against clark another guy who was doing good in time prospect beef now with jimmy crew. Who's supposed to be the man on his way up your beat him then. You put him in that ryan's plan another young garden. You beat him. So anthony smit who may have been thinking of himself as a gay people a year ago has now shut the door on three prospects and that is why he was so emotional because we start to lose two guys john jones. Losing to anymore you lose to a guy like rocket who you don't see as the man at the time you start to question things but he seems to have gotten it all right and when you watch him in there. He's five with more confidence. Never seen that spent fight with no. He's absolutely fighting with more confidence. But you also have to think of where. The time line was at that point. Dc you lose to. John jones you lose to go over to sarah and then now you you lose two rocket. It's you're starting to think to yourself in my evening even a championship contender tool five anymore. And now when you start contemplating life which is what he's doing right. He's concentrated like maybe i need time. All maybe i can't even compete at this weight anymore. That's difficult you know. What are and. I'm glad you said that because that is seeing guys in real time only say how fighting is the most naked. You could be right right most on display. You see that one. Anthony smith right. You've seen in a real time a guy trying to make these decisions because even though you lose a game you're upset and you lose a fight. Still stick that cameron you face. Your task wood processing does that. You really can't do an and that's the hard part for me. It's not only that you're vulnerable in the sense that you're there for the world but you just lost you just lost the fight and when i listen to what he was saying after the rockets fight here is what i hear. I actually made the adjustments. I thought i needed to make to win. I was able to get within kicking range. Because if you remember that fight to lay kicks were very heavy early right. The the loan range fighting was going in alexander rockets way very early and he felt like he changed it so to feel like you make adjustments. Thank you've made the changes that you need to make in order to win the fight and in truth. The fight doesn't even become close. That's difficult you start to question whether your talent level is good enough whether you're training is good enough whether you can ever get back to the level that you've wants work but what i hear after the ryan span fi is a fighter. That's confident in who. He is a fighter that feels like he's gotten his groove and a fighter that can now look back at the rockets. Find say you know what. I kind of see what i did wrong there. "Thank you've made the changes that you need to make in order to win the fight and in truth. I've correct some things. I think it's time to get that opportunity again. And he knows that. Now we're both to top fighters in his division. The other options is takes time often in gear bigger. So i don't know got some things decided. You know when you look at anthony smith here right. You've seen in a real time a guy trying to make these decisions because even though you lose a game you're set and you lose a fight. The the loan range fighting was going in alexander rockets way very early and he felt like he changed it so to feel like you make adjustments..

Does that affect you in a fight when a guy like ryan span talks about you in a guy like ryan span makes it personal. Can't you get amped up or or can you forget your game plan or is it hard to actually focus and execute that way and then when you do execute do you feel the right to get in their face and let them know about well. It's real. it's so real in regards to do motion now for me. I always saw better. When i didn't try to let the emotions get you deep into a fight because with jones was bad but anthony smith was well within his right and ryan. You talked about the nfl talking room bro. Precise all you'll i take yesterday. The one thing that stood out most of it was. You look like a baby. Michael go was six standing order. Five eleven somebody. Should've put you on the hips and jews on the. Hey bro eight. No putting me on the hip man. It's just like baby. Nobody puts me in a corner. But i think they did that on purpose. You know they wanted to make michael. Irvin oh michael irvin mondays. And obviously it's now stephen as show he makes a gazillion million dollars to do tv for. Espn and i'm just little rc. Man i'm just the co host of dc rc. And even put your initials. I i guess they figured it would just put me in the back and not they got these dudes towering over me look big but here's the one thing i know. Dc if you put me on the field and you give me a small lane. I like myself you told me octagon. Od those two are like myself. Don't matter how. I look on camera is all good mobile. I'm telling you. I'm taking the odds or see i got your back and i know you got game. It is good to see you really working. My man you're working very very hard right now and guess what it terms of the debates my boys out there shining out there like likes not over and over so keep doing you think my guy roy. Last weekend we watched anthony smith fight against. I don't even remember the guy's name right now. It's ryan. I just remember it because i remember 'cause we got the same i spent ryan span so anthony smith fight ryan spent right and before the fight. You and i talked about it. ryan spans. Angry ryan's disrespectful ryan span is almost dismissive of anthony. Smith's career and it's been as a guy who's fought over fifty calms his life. He's done everything. Wrote a guy fall for the title. He's gone up and down weight. Classes goes out there. Honesty embarrassment consummated. Look easy very non event yup. He whitewashed washed. He washed out. Washed out. ryan. Spins ryan stan ryan flipping flopping all lower place. Every time. he gets hurt every time he gets. Hit gets. Hurt in an anthony submission but after a fight. Anthony gets his face in athle- yells adam and anthony is a little bit upset night. Tweet right away i go ahead. I have no problem with it because when you talk to talk you better be willing to walk the walk and there need to be faked friends after the file people hugging and shaking hands. It's real for a guy like anthony. Smith what did you make of the fight but also the accident after the flight. Listen i love the fight. We talked about anthony. Smith now trying to get back to being a contender guy. Who's already fought. John jones for the title. And so of your anthony smith. You understand when you're going against a guy who's not even in the top ten and he's talking to you were talking about you as a has been or as a non factor that is personal and we in the fight game. It is personal. It's mono mono we are to individuals standing in octagon and one only one of us walks out victorious. Nobody's fighting for draw. We not fighting to be friends. And so if you come in for me that i have the right that if i go out i do my job especially do your job in a way. Anthony smith did his job. So you tell me every jab is going to wobble you ryan span. Every straight right is going to wobble you. You're gonna throw a wild left hook and catch you with the right hook. You drop then are you. I submit you. I can do whatever i want to do. And for anyone. Who's watching this fighting goes. Oh that's not sportsmanship. All they should hug and be friends. You know what. I'll tell you. Go officiate in nfl with this new soft taunting rule. Where every time. A dude who has worked all worked all his life to be in this position makes a play. You throw a flag. The thing that i kept thinking about those seeing anthony smith after the fight and seeing his emotion and seeing that he had actual anger. "Ground game just enough that you think twice about going there. It's a very very interesting match which is going to beg the question. Where gonna have a lot of eyeballs on this and it's not just because of these guys you also have the as in the bullet on you got a lot of help fight week. It's international fight week. It's a big damn deal so whoever gets blessed with this spot and it's these to whoever comes out of it. What do they do next. And as you look at one hundred and forty five pounds. I mean look. Giga has been insulting max holloway. And he's been getting away with it but you're only going to back smacks into a corner and have him be polite for so long. Something tells me. Giga is getting to the end of that rope. Now max before he responds to gig in gives gigawatt he wants gig is trying to lure mintues. A number one contender's fight very smart. Move by everything he does. I love everything this guy does. But i love that he calculated. I love that. He has plans trying to lure max into a number one contender's fight. Max might be in a spot where he doesn't have to fight gig and gets to go on and fight the winner of volkogonov ski or tag if he just keeps his mouth shut. Doesn't add any fuel to the fire. That gig starting and can just by himself a week. He could find himself in a championship spa. So that's what you have one hundred forty five pounds. But that's a lot of ifs a lot of buts. If word gets the jump on vulcan off ski. I think ski. Probably gets that rematch. What's that means for max right. It's one of those things max's already fought both of these guys ortega off sqi. Are you looking for some parody. Are you looking for some fresh blood. What kind of damage are these guys going to take. How long of a layoff or are they gonna. I don't know these answers and neither do you. But these are the reasons why we can't put all these places in. It's also why it's very smart of giga to align himself on a guy who's dance card is open and who for sure will make you the number one contender..

"You know in fact. I think he dropped you a couple of times in that last fight you know so. It's hard to say you won the fight. Yeah you want the scorecards. According to these reference to these officials who may have got it wrong right. That doesn't sit while with everybody and they have a good. They have a good debate. You know we. We agree on that right there But he does i in order to break through and get the the respect he deserves. He does need to make a statement but he doesn't. In my opinion. I think is important for him more important for him to win right. This is a guy you don't want to rush on and make a mistake because you feel pressured to make a statement right so yes you know you want your stock to go up. You want to be the entertaining fighter. Yes you want more money but this is a fight where you don't make any mistakes right. You don't make any mistakes. Even max. Holloway was a little bit conservative. Against frankie agar. Because he didn't wanna get taken down right he had to make sure he just picked them apart enough. I think he can let go more. But why risk take down. So i think we may see vulcanized. Who's a little passive who just relies on his striking and punches and keeping a close he finds. That's almost as style. But i think it might be the right approach for this fight and and against brian ortega guy who can just snag your neck a guy who can just turn it around with the grappling. You know i. I don't know if it's this is the one where you have to really make that statement to make everyone happy before you really lock into. W i think brian ortega's showed so much improvement in a striking the last time but then again not that he needs my advice but i feel like i think brian's biggest chance to win this fight as mixing things up a little bit..

"Everyone talks about a long lay-off and and and i gotta say it's very difficult to come back from a hard layoff but You know if there's anyone who could do it it's it's nick. D is absolutely to that point. I gotta say. I love this matchup. The first u. of c. card i ever attended and two thousand four was ufc. Forty-seven when nick knocked out. Robbie lawler i was actually at that. That was the first year of c. I was in attendance. And i'll never forget that because there was so much hype around robbie at that time he was kinda young gone. Big knockout power. Everyone was kind of impressed by what he had done early. So early in his career came from that team and then nick went out there and face planning them. I don't know a better way to say it. It's not an insult to robbie man he just he. He hit him hard and knocked him. Your face i on the campus. I gotta be honest. Look at the time. It was kind of shocking. Now here we are literally seventeen years later. They're both in different places in their careers but this is still a really fun fight because robbie still brings a. We know he's still got knocked out. Power and weirdly. I don't think the time off is gonna affect. Nick like he's the guy who's always training. He's not in the gym training. Mma he's training triathletes. He's biking's always shape so it's teleki had to get in shape to start a fight. Cabinet just had to kind of get in fights shape and so i think this is going to be a spectacular match. I think he's kind of the perfect fight for nick combat. Oh absolutely i mean this is seventeen years and they make you dislike. You said this is a rematch. Would be the wanting to see for a long time. We thought this might happen in strikeforce. This might happen somewhere else and and now here. We are full circle..

"Com luke. Rock cold is a former world. Champion doesn't appear that he complained. So how's mature. Mile is one of the top guys. Finding one seventy and this week. There's a couple other guys at one. Seventy that are worth talking about Wonderboy thompson bless his heart. He really he is such a sweet guy. I mean if fighters had ratings like movies wonderboy wouldn't even be pg. Gee this guy is such a wonderful guy. He looks at the business very different other people. And that's why say as a sweet guy revert. The expression. Nice guys finish last. We'll sure you can imagine in cage fighting. The expression is on steroids right expressions. True in life in general it's injected straight in the ass like it was jailed son in two thousand seven. I mean i'm just. I'm just telling you right now. Here's what he did okay. Let's back up. Do you remember the night that us men beat burns burns and wonderboy put out a tweet and this is off the top of my head. I have not seen this since the night. It came out. But i have a feeling if you go back in the time line i get your ninety nine to one hundred percent there and he said i am the only guy in the top five who has not fought osmond yet period so i guess i'm next period congrats on the performance champ exclamation point and it was just such a sweet. It was such a sincere. He wanted to congratulate kamara one. He wanted everyone to in his logic. Is it that bad. The top five does talk about the top ten all the time but you can break the top down to the top five. He was the only guy in the top five who had not been given the opportunity. His logic wasn't bad. So i guess i'm next i can live with the whole thing. I don't know if i ever remembered it. I don't know that i'd be talking to you about it. If he left out the one syllable to letter word of so. So i guess i next. That's what made it a g. rated statement. I'm next we're gonna totally different conversation knowing again. The top five. That hasn't fought him yet. I'm next good job tonight. Champ totally different. He put the word so in there. That's what a nice guy would say so. I guess i'm next but hold that thought because wonderboy came out today and he was giving some nice kind advice as you would expect to get from wonderboy to nate d. s. and the advice was nature. Go down to one hundred and fifty five pounds. Hold the thought. Why now wonder why would be able to answer that. If he was here right now he would be able to answer that he would support the notion that nature go to one fifty five by looking at the rankings looking at the potential matchups looking at the path that could get me quickest to a championship. I don't accept any of those goal setting one on one. Whatever your goal is that is a dream that is largely a fantasy. That is your ultimate wish. That's realistic right. Not not not. I wake up on mars tomorrow. A real realistic attainable thing. But it is your dream. Then what do you do. You set a whole bunch of little goals to get there. You want to be the world champion. Start at the bottom. Get into a practice room. Get into an environment teammates. Fine coaches show up every day. Get a little extra work going to set your alarm clock a half hour early for school. And you're you're going to get two miles while the rest of the kids are sleeping. I do you see where this goes. You're going to get noticed you're going to get signed. How are you going to do that because you're going to get media you're going to build your social reputation. You have all of these little goals. What nate does so. Well is the little goals k. If you want to be the world champion that's appear you gotta get signed. You gotta work hard. You gotta get attention but everything in this. Sport is a competition everything in if you try to go right to the finals. Which is i'm gonna get a championship match. And i'm gonna beat that guy more rounds and he'd beats me best to five. You're never gonna get there if you show up to a press conference. You have to be ready to compete. You should be keeping track. That guy's got two questions. I've got none yet. He's up to two none. You have to compete for everything. I can remember being at press conference. I generally don't have that problem. I don't say that china wills. Most of the questions came to me. But i wasn't one one time we're saint-pierre was up. There on the same desk is the greatest of all time. He's feeling a lot of questions. I pulled out my phone. I started texting. People in the audience. Asked me this asked me this. Ask until those questions came. But we're competing. You'd think i just cheated but okay fine i did. I don't think it's a cheat. You think i could live with it. I didn't lose. Because i was competing. Then you start looking at pay per view you start looking at live audience you start looking at placement on the card you start looking at rankings. You start looking at. Who's getting the most headline who selling the most t shirts all of these things matter. All of them they all go in line with. Who's going to get the world opportunity. Vince mcmahon will gauge. Who's gonna headline wrestlemainia on. Who sold the most merchandise that year. Did you guys know that. The headline act of wrestlemainia which is guaranteed a million dollars. Guaranteed you can make more than that you if you headline mania you're getting a million dollar bonus it's known within the business and it's been true for over two decades. Whoever sold the most dolls and t shirts and video games and posters whatever merchandise wwf. whoever sold the most. Vince identifies as the most popular in puts in the main event of his biggest show of the year. So all these shales. I'm sharing with you as somebody who is observed more beyond just the punches and kicks what it takes to get there you have to achieve those little goals. You have to get yourself to the press conference again. I'll just personalize it. But a time where. I wasn't getting invited to the press conferences. I figured out whose role that was to decide. Who's coming in both the plane tickets. And i started lighting them up. I started sending him text messages. I want to be up. There deserved to be up there. You give me two minutes on the microphone. I'll make belt drop and they shit was female. Finally a good of the press conference just quit texting me brought me at every single press conference for the rest of my career sex. But that's a little goal and you have to observe that starts somewhere. What nate diaz is a master of is the small stuff natives. Not looking to be champion. He's not looking for a championship fight. He's looking for a big fight he's not looking for a ranking next to his name he's looking.

"Es responded to francis and god's question francis donald question there today via social media known as twitter was what are we doing wrong in relation to the payout. The jake paul was given for the boxing fight. So we said what are we doing wrong. And they answered the question. Why doing meteorologists for his fight. This weekend he said you should listen to daddy meaning himself. You should have listened to me. I've been barking about pay from the beginning. You should barked about it from the beginning. I wasn't never know champion. But i refused to do things and tell i got paid. That's what you should have done. Okay liked it like hearing talk. Glad he's doing a media gladys doing promotion for the pay per view like that. He referred to himself as daddy problem with the story. That's not what happened. That is not what happened. That is not the nate diaz story. If nate feels that his story he would have a reason to because he is telling the truth that he held out and refused to come in. It's still not what happened. People liked mate. People wanted to see nate fight. Make god help and many brothers do. Many brothers can do things in half the time. it's as though they have double the media double the presence. It's a real thing and you're seeing it. Even with the paul brothers right. Now i don't have the foggiest idea with their record is either one of them. I think they fought five times now. That means one of them's done it twice in one of them. They both get credit. It's one of those things. The sarah boys got a good run. You'll remember back in the early days. But the shamrock boys got a good run. The hughes boys got a good run. I remember i realized between the sierras and the huge there was one brother that was meaningfully different. But the other brother mattered. Just did same thing with a shamrock boys one was meaningfully better but they both met the name just helped to reality is the point. I'm trying to make so nate. Had this and people liked him and he had a fun style and he had an attitude and he was going to do it his way. At least this was the image and it was compelling. He was the anti hero. The sport was looking for. He truly was may did not get paid because barked and held out when they barked and held out. Nate got to be unemployed. What happened with the nate. Diaz story is. He filled in on short notice opposite conor mcgregor and then beat him. That is the story. It wasn't nate saying no and holding out. That got nate paid. It was the time. Nate picked up and it was the right call was the right opportunity but he answered the phone and he said yes. That's what got in paid. He then went out and he did something called performing well and now he's got connor again. Who said i want a rematch now native in a position to talk it's a game. Nobody would say it's different including dana white. It's a game. Make your play when you're ready. These guys are making their play early. Nate made his play early. He missed fights. He struggled with his mortgage. He didn't know where the next paycheck was. It was not the sitting out on the bark in that. Got eight to where he is. It was the one time he picked up. He played ball. It was the right fight. It was the right performance. It was the right interview it was the right rematch and he did parlay that that is true. He continued to be difficult. He continued to hold out next thing you know. He's headline msg on espn fighting for the b. m. f. in front of the rock. I mean it's it's one of those things where opportunities did line up. That is a risky game. If nato's out there encouraging anybody do what i did and you think okay great. I'm going to please listen to me. Please don't listen to nate natives. My friend nate has a false perception of what it is that worked for him. Don't do it do not listen to him. he's wrong he's wrong. Not only to give you the advice. He's wrong if he believes that's what his secret to success was. His success was not holding out. His success came the day.

That is what he was saying by fall up with his hands. And you know what. That's a real thing. I don't know that. I have seen kamara osmond do it. I will look for it now. Now that leon is brought it to my attention. I will look for a little bit. What i have seen with uis man is that he is using his hands a lot to set up his wrestling still. He is a threat of wrestling at all times. He was a major threat to gilbert burns at all times. He had a little bit of hesitation of going to the ground. Strategically stayed on his feet with kobe. Covington he an kobe through wrestling out. They just knew each other and respected each other. So this probably isn't gonna work. Let's go to plan b. They both they both came to the same opinion which we didn't know until the referee said. Are you ready. And it turned into an absolute war on their feet. I bring it to you. Because i'm not. I'm not positive that leon's right even though if you go back and you look at the recent fights the last three to four by uis men. They were very standard heavy. that's true i just. I just think they were done for strategic reasons. I think you're respected gilbert on the ground. I think the same thing with moslem. I think he was getting ready to take down. I think he did. Throw that a out against kobe covington but if you back up before that to the night. He won the championship which was a terribly long ago. It was all ground game. So i don't know that i'm ready to label. Who's been with that yet. But leon most certainly has the right to his opinion and particularly if he's going to be his future opponent that would play right into leon's hand. I don't know if leon would wanna be pointing that out. But the best thing that leon could do is in a put a standup battle with us. Men and whether that works out or not. That's the best thing that he could do. I don't think you want us been coming out there tackling. You're staying on top of your grinding on you. I don't think and that's a golf term fell in love with. It's a guy falls in love with his swing so golf term but it is fear and i've seen it a number times the only guy i've really seen at work out for the duration of his career is my teammate dan henderson. Dan was a two time olympic wrestler. Nobody would have known good hands including himself turns out near the same set of every time he changed pop back up through a right down the middle and it was so hard even call it h. I felt that thing. I couldn't even tell you how many times he was a natural and didn't miss even practice. He just had an accuracy he had a power that was natural hit a time. He had a setup that was natural. Who's changed elevations just like you do wrestling comeback. Everything just fit. It worked out for him. I have seen josh cost. Check would be guilty of fall in love with his right hand. Johny hendricks would fall into that category. Now i'm talking about the best guys in the world so i don't know that there's any kind of an insult here. It is true though that over a period of time you will lend to from a psychological standpoint. Whatever gets you the most oohs and aahs from the crowd. Ooh you will just naturally gravitate in that area. And sometimes you'll convince yourself i'm okay and then you'll go out and have a good performance. I mean i would imagine if i'm an shoes. And i just knocked out mazda. It'll turn him sideways by the way. Never seen that before. Who's been hit. Mazda also square and so clean the muslim who turned sideways for the for the follow of shot that put. I'm just saying. Yeah i yeah. I bet who's been does really believe in his hands shore. I could also see where that would be a problem. I mean that's a shootout game who's been played that game with burns just two fights ago and who's been got hurt twice now. He worked his way through it. He pushed through it. I give him credit. I'm not faulting shared with you. How risky that game is for sure. And i'm not sure if i was who's been opponent or future opponent. I would tip him off to his weaknesses. Used to study guys all the time. And it wasn't me was clayton. Hires but clayton was a master of it. He was a master and he could see everything and he would point things out and he would tell it to me. One time clayton would study my opponents. Call coaches run which is one of the hardest workouts i've ever done. But the coaches run wasn't the coaches runs. Were coach does it with me. So we meet. We go to pace. We talk the entire time. That is the one and only time clayton. I would strategized that was it. That was the talk. Whatever i absorbed in took with me for the next ten weeks. That was the talk and remember nate. Marquardt getting ready to fight. Nate markwort and i was a two and a half to one underdog. And i had trained would nate before mate. Should have been the favourite going in this fight but clayton had notice something and it was real simple but he used to compare nate to a drag car. A drag car will fire up and then it will go one thing that always did and it was an every video and every sequence of every fight that clayton studies before nate would come after you shake i every time never miss. He was a drag. He get warmed up and then boom he would come at you put every time it faking jab throw right it was a fake right. Throw a right fake throw kick. It wasn't these things he would do. Emotion and then he would come at you full sprint. He put a lot of guys down. Just before me put damian my down in like ten seconds but he bill. He did the drag car i he did it. Every single time was a major benefit that i had and i waited for that drag car boom and that's when i went attack i knew i had a beat. I knew that. I had to beat before he could get off. And it's a real thing. I do it too. I don't know what my tendencies are tells are. I don't know. I changed them if i knew. But i can't tell you habits or a real thing when you learn on the midst and then you go to the heavy bag and then you go to the ring. There's things that you develop and you can't get around them. They become absolute habit right. You comb your hair the same every day. Put your dirhams. You brush.

Medical Tourism Broker Doctours Expands to 35 Countries
"The Bra I'm wondering I'm David Brown and this is business wars daily on this Thursday July twenty fifth. Would you go to Mexico Thailand or Dubai for surgery. Well One L.. A. Startup is betting big that you will. The company is docked tours spell like Nick Diaz E. T. O. U.. R. S. Tours it connects patients with cheaper medical procedures overseas founder Kaylynn o'shaughnessy compares docked tours to the online site Angie's list except that instead of helping find a plumber she says. Doc Tours is helping you find a physician earlier this month. The company announced it can help patients find medical treatments in thirty five different countries o'shaughnessy began her career in the tourism business starting and selling an online travel company when he called trip scope in twenty seventeen she launched docked tours with funding from a handful of individual investors today the company claims customers using doctors online platform can locate in book three hundred thirty five different medical olen dental procedures along with the associated flights and lodging company takes a commission on your trip. It also pays a five percent commission to travel agents not only on the travel but also on the medical procedure itself according to Shaughnessy. See the entire medical tourism business is going great guns spurred by patients anxious to save money on notoriously high American medical expenses most patients seek elective procedures such as cosmetic surgery in vitro fertilization stem stem cell therapy still medical tourism isn't the healthcare panacea. It's been hyped to be prior to the passage of the affordable care act the industry looked to be on the upswing. It was heavily promoted to insurers and two large employers the idea companies he's could send their sick employees abroad preferably to places where one might WanNa vacation anyway saving the insurer or employer oodles of money but surveys show that most people don't want to travel more than thirty miles for surgery and so. Employees offered the benefit said a resounding no now few if any large insurers offer it still numbers are climbing if not as quickly as promised docked tours and other smaller medical tourism facilitators facilitators are targeting consumers paying for procedures themselves private payers choosing say a nose job have more incentive to find bargains abroad than do insured patients doc tours promises savings of up to eighty eight percent savings however vary by procedure and country the online site patients beyond borders estimates savings across the industry ranging from a low of twenty percent in Brazil to a high of eighty percent in Malaysia. Good statistics are hard to come by in part because of the nebulous definition of a medical tourist it doesn't include ex-pats or adventures who happen to get sick while traveling abroad for example upwards of one and a half million Americans became medical medical tourists last year though according to dock tours patients beyond borders estimates the number will rise to almost two million this year because the industry is still relatively new hype abounds for instance doctors claims medical and dental tourism is a four four hundred thirty nine billion dollar global market but that figure has been debunked according to the Medical Tourism Association the real number they report is closer to seventy billion dollars but this raises a question about the enterprise in a larger. Your sense Americans put their trust health system. That's highly regulated in the U._S.. How do you know how safe a procedure is overseas? And what legal recourse would you have. If something goes wrong doctor says most of their providers have international accreditation but they also don't take on any liability medical tourism may indeed be the right thing for you and as promoters say wouldn't you like to recover on a beach with a Pina Colada and but given the loosey-goosey nature of the price price market and safety claims will this much is for certain. You'd better do your homework before you get on that plane.
