"Bentley is has to take a running back or a tight end one on one somewhere, that can be problematic for the Patriots. Now that Chubb is in playing, I think the Patriots can play at a more nickel, and now you get your matchups back, right? Again, some of those extra people. But this is a fun game because this is your type of game Alex. This is a old school. I'm excited. I'm excited. Even without Nick Chubb, they're still going to be a lot of running the football. There's going to be a lot of three tight end to tight end packages on both sides of the ball. This is old school. All the analytics nerds talk about all this passing game stuff, the browns have built themselves in the trenches. They have invested in the offensive line and they've invested in the defensive line. Basically more than they've invested anywhere else. Yeah. It's going to be smash male football. I was walking out to practice today in the winds Allen and starting to rain and I'm like, if only we had this on Sunday. This is such football weather today. But it's going to be a really fun game, but then you add in that element of either team, both teams might be without their power backs that really make these things go. And now it's like, okay, now you really have to get creative. Now you're really have to think outside the box and it's a test of a good coach in Bill Belichick and we'll see. I've made my point on Kevin Stefanski before I put him in that Kyle Shanahan Matt Lafleur group. Oh no, all the wanna be Sean mcvay's out there. But he's gonna need this game's gonna be a lot about coaching too. So we'll see what's Stefanski does if he can rise the occasion. He's had his rough moments. He certainly had his rough moment so. What I like about Stefanski and I think it's passing game is not as impressive watching it on tape as what you would see at a maybe Shanahan or McVeigh. But his run game is more impressive in a lot of ways. Maybe more kind of more up to par with Shanahan. The one thing I always had a problem with mcvay is kind of one dimensional on the run game, right? They're very heavy outside zone and that's just kind of what they do. Now, Stefanski, he mixes it up. They have a really good scheme run game, where they can pull guards on you. They can run zone. They can run mid zone or outside zone. They can run all sorts of different types of things. They can put tight ends in the backfield, their full backs in the backfield and play lead or outside zone lead, then they can pull teller or plutonium and those two guys are two of the best power pulling guards in the NFL. So when I look at the matchups in the trenches, there's going to be a lot of Devon Dodge on Lawrence guy having to hold up against double teams on the line of scrimmage..

"Want to get to some of the Odell stuff here in a second Alex and just put a bow on the Odell Beckham junior sweepstakes, pursuit, whatever you want to call it, but some news just coming down right now from ESPN's field Yates is that brown's top running back. Nick Chubb will not play in the game on Sunday, so no Nick Chubb for the browns. I do think this considerably changes the equation for the Patriots defense and how you game plan and scheme up against this brown's offense. Well, it certainly helps, right? You know, you don't have to face running back. And we also know Kareem hunt's not playing, demetrick Felton, who we both really liked during the draft isn't playing. So yeah, yeah, they're in good shape. You know, it's interesting, because I'm sure we'll talk about the Patriots running backs too and Stevenson. Stevenson and Harris both missing practice today. So we've all been talking about all week and we, I mean, me you, Matt, doll if we work with everybody who's covering this game. Yeah. We've been talking about winning upfront, running the football in the trenches all that both teams might have to throw the ball on Sunday and that could be really interesting because I don't think that's what anybody expected. I think it could be fun. But certainly this game kind of taking a hard left turn here in a few days leading up. I actually think that heavily favors the Patriots. Thank you. A passing game. And mainly because I'm confident in the Patriots past defense right now and the way that they've been playing without Odell in Cleveland, we're going to talk about Odell not coming here to New England, but with that Odell in Cleveland, Donovan peoples Jones, Jarvis Landry, they're tight ends. That's what they're working with, really, right now with the browns. And you start to look at some of these pieces. People's Jones is played well over the last couple of weeks about the last month or so. He's been a dynamic downfield threat, but mostly off of play action. And skiing up those deep shots off of PA and you look at deer and as Johnson, he started a couple of weeks ago on that Thursday night game against a Denver Broncos an averaged over 6.6.

You do not need to draft a running back number two overall. For your running back to make an impact. By the way, Nick Chubb is available in the second round. 34th overall, when they drafted will Hernandez, they could have got Nick Chubb or running back instead. By the way, Nick job is now a star running back in Cleveland. And he was taken 35th overall one pick after the Giants drafted in the second round of 2018. So again, I would take offensive guard Quinton Nelson number two overall instead of saquon Barkley. Then in the second round of the draft in 2018, if I could time travel, I would draft running back Nick Chubb instead of offensive guard will Hernandez. And it's kind of funny. I actually think Dave gettleman had the right idea here. You need to fix the offensive line. You need to draft a running back. Him and I just disagree on the value of offensive lineman, because I would prioritize the offensive line. The O line is more important to be talented than you're running back. Nick Chubb is good enough. Cyclin Barclay is incredible, yes. But the difference between Nick Chubb and sake on Barkley and the gap between will Hernandez and Quinton Nelson is the gap between the two offensive linemen, I just mentioned are way bigger. Quinton Nelson is the guy I would pick and then I'd get another quality running back in the second round. It is actually harder to find a guard that Quinton Nelson than it is to find a running back who can contribute and get a lot of yards..

"And when you have a plethora of players on abundance and too many of something, trade in one of them away, get something back in return, it makes total sense to me. And the reason why the rams got Sony Michelle for so cheap is because he's never had an amazing breakout year. All he's really ever shown is potential. To show, he could be great if only this happened. And that happened. And the rams are banking on the fact that they can get everything out of him that they can help him reach his potential in LA. I'd love to see that that'd be awesome, but I think this is a great trade for both sides. The Patriots got something in return for Sony Michelle, rather than cutting running back getting nothing back. And the rams got a running back who hopefully can be a key focal point helping them achieve their goal of winning a Super Bowl. Now, one other thought is remember the Patriots drafted Sony Michelle back in 2018. Was that a waste? That's the other kind of question that comes up in this, and what you call it. In this narrative here. And so yes, probably the Patriots should have drafted running back Nick Chubb rather than sending the show. Remember, Nick Chubb got drafted like three or four picks later by the Cleveland Browns. And Nick Chubb has been much, much better throughout the NFL throughout the NFL process. But here's the thing. Sony Michelle helped the Patriots win a Super Bowl. And so it's kind of like, oh, come on. You can be mad, but he did contribute to them winning a Super Bowl. And things could have been far worse. Yes, was he hurt too often? Did he underachieve absolutely? But he also didn't completely fail. He wasn't an absolute bust. And I think any patriots fans who were complaining about, oh, we traded him away. We didn't get enough for him. It's like, well, you want a Super Bowl. Be grateful, be happy, move on. You got a guy who contributed. And you got something back for him in return rather than cutting him, which if you try to trade away Nikhil Harry, you may not get anything in return. So the narrative that Sony Michel was a wasted pick by the Patriots. Was it not the best pick? Absolutely. Was it a wasted pick? It wasn't that either. "Yeah he's a. he's a low catch guy for for the elite wide receiver. He's never had ninety his sixteen game. Pace highest sixteen game think was ninety three catches. And that's almost never going to get it going to get you Number one wide receiver in full pr. There's just gonna be too many guys who have like a hundred and five or more perseus games but get your number two. We saw that well and like the thing is. If you're going to be a guy who is a lower target guy than average. It would be nice if you were arguably the most efficient wide receiver in nfl history. Yeah and that's basically what he is if you want to count set set a threshold like five hundred targets for career. He's nine point eight yards per target in scores once every eight targets. Nobody nobody does that. He had Almost forty percent of mahomes as touchdowns last season. So you know. He had fifteen receiving be as good as he was last. Yeah a okay. it is funny. Because last year he was eighty seven. Twelve seventy six and fifteen his three year. Sixteen game pace is eighty six thirteen forty five and thirteen. That's fifteen games. He did last year right. Oh that's including lassie's okay. His three four that were eighty two thirteen hundred ten. Yeah there was a there was a leap from two thousand seventeen to twenty eighteen pressure when mahomes took over all right retiree kills awesome and especially in non pbr. I mean you talk about safe and non. Pr when the catches don't matter he's just tremendous he's a touchdown producer. Okay next up. Is nick chubb. So chris was talking alluding to a running back who he is probably not going to draft but he thinks it doesn't really make a bus case for but i find that interesting because i think you can easily make a case for the chubby fifteen catches this year. You know twenty. That's low twenty catches. That's that's not good. Npr and would come down two touchdowns but what did you mean when you when you said that about chubb earlier. There's no there's no outcome in which chubb stays healthy and he's not at least a high number two i think he's just he's gonna get too much work they're gonna rely too heavily on him.

For taking the 10 points in the Cleveland Browns. As of right now, it's a push its 13 3. Kansas City. Kansas City is dominating this football game. They're dominating and on the scoreboard there dominating and on the stat sheet. They're well on their way to a day in which they're going to get easily, probably about 450 yards of total offense. We've got 200 yards of total offense with six minutes still to go in the second quarter. They've got the ball in well around midfield. It looks like So we'll see if they can tack on two more points for the Kansas City Chiefs 13 to 3. Here's the problem for the Browns. You remember earlier when I described the bills. As a team that proved to us. Last night that they're a team that's going to be comfortable playing a game. That's any certain style. And I think they were. They beat a team last night that played a style plays a style in the Ravens. It's very they're very uncomfortable coming from behind because they don't throw the football that well, I think Baker Mayfield is a better thrower of the football than Lemar Jackson is. He's not nearly the runner Lamar Jackson is. But I think Cleveland is very similar to Baltimore in that They are teams that if they fall behind, especially on the road It's tough for them to come back. The Browns are very, very dependent on riding Nick Chubb. And, um Karim Hunt. Run game, and right now they got six carries for 18 yards. And the Chiefs are up 13 to 3. So this is one of those games that could. This is one of those games that stylistically is playing out in such a way that it could get a little bit out of hand. Now, if the Browns can get off the field here, which they don't they just gave up a first down on third and long. Um Then maybe they're onto something, but they've got to keep Kansas City out of the end zone here. 16 to 3 and you get the ball and you go down and get some points before the half make it 16 6 or 16 10. Then you're in business again. But if they give up a touchdown here you fall behind by 17. It's just it's not. It's not breaking that way for the Browns and boy, this one seed man, this one seed in the NFL is gonna wind up being a huge Advantage for the teams that are able to get it. The bi has already been an advantage through the years when there were only six teams in each conference. But now with seven teams that there's only one team He gets the buy. Wow and especially when it's when it's Green Bay and Kansas City. To the hardest places to go play football if you're an opposing team, especially Green Bay this time of year. I mean, that is such an advantage. It was an advantage of the Packers got, say the two seed in their conference. Is indeed at least get one home game a point out when you get the one seed and you're the only team that gets it. You know, all the other By definition, all the other teams that you could potentially play. We're going to have more miles on the odometer. Mean literally. Not only does everybody have to go through your place to get to the Super Bowl. But They're all guaranteed to have played. I think they want to buy three points and two by six points, so I don't know if we're going to see the same chief's team while the Browns are hotter than you could possibly imagine so It'll be interesting to see which team show up. Now, just from an analytic stamp. You just so you know Jason Carroll loves playing big favorites, and I have a feeling he's gonna be playing laying the wood here. What do you got down? Well, if you do look at the numbers, it does look that way. But if you look at everybody's jumping on Cleveland, I believe because last week's win, they're not looking at the fact that Pittsburgh's not any good. Pittsburgh's not any good. I had Cleveland on the Moneyline last week. One of the few dogs you've had all year long have them on the Moneyline, not because they were the Cleveland Browns because It's Berg isn't any good. That's why I like Cleveland last week. It's a team that has to establish the running game. No question about it. Baker Mayfield is not going to be able to win a game for you. I'm not a huge fan, although he's been playing better they have to use chubby. You have to use hunt. They almost have to score every time and control the tempo to win this game. Well, J we look at it here. Hey, Casey they arrested they have, like I said, haven't played a meaningful game and almost a month in the last game against the charges, all their players rested. They didn't win. Came here and you mentioned a good point there. Casey hasn't won uncovered a game. Ah covered a game since November 1st when they played the lowly New York Jets, 35 to 9 right now, J. They are all eight against the spread in the last eight games that Darrell likes laying the wood in this game. Yeah, Darryl, that That's bull that I get. I mean, it seems I think it's easy that you're not a $500 million quarterback and Andy Reid. I totally get that. But also I mean, this is history from 2004. For whatever reason, Odds don't always make sense, especially at this point. So if you look at the vision round underdogs against the number one speak seed since 2004 there 22 11 against the spread. So you take the 22 11 against the number one seed. You take the fact that Casey is Owen a in their last eight against this, Fred, and then I agree with you. I mean, I think this is going to be a game that it will have to be dictated by Karim Hunt and Nick job And when you look at shop, I think he's I did. Some research earlier is the first player since 1972 that rush for at least 100 yards and scored 12 touchdowns against the Chiefs defense. Really hasn't been able to stop the runner, do a good job of it. And then I also you gotta correlate this rate to the over under. It's not like the over under. Is this this this number that it's just absolutely exhort like exorbitantly high that it's scaring me and I don't know. I just think that if they could control the game and keep it to a low scoring game We can see a cover and maybe an upset. I also argue this real quick. Pittsburgh. I don't think Pittsburgh as bad as everyone says there. Yes, they had a terrible last six games. But Pittsburgh lost that game. Cleveland didn't win that game. I mean, 50% of Cleveland's points were scored the first nine minutes and we'd look at this gave me the totals of 57. I think, you know, I think the totals Little Highness King Darryl Because pit Yeah. Look what Cleveland did last week to Pittsburgh, 48 37 20 came out a lot of turnovers, five takeaways against the Steelers. If the Cleveland Browns to be successful, we knows the fans. He's getting back on the sideline to your Jason brought up a good point there with the running attack with Nick Chubb and Karim Hunt. If can Cleveland does not want to get to a shootout with Casey and Casey this year is not the offensive powerhouse that were doing they were winning games this year on a defense and that's why their own eight against the spread in last day games. Well, defensively, everybody thinks of them offensively, Nobody thinks of them defensively, and they do have a solid if Jason's right, they do struggle against the run, But the secondary is pretty good. Good linebackers, linebackers kind of flying around there, So it's not just in offensive team, but they have so many weapons on offense. Forget that they don't run the ball. They used their running backs as receivers. They have the best tight end in football. Cleveland's gonna have trouble there. Tyree kill Mahomes. It is. I'll tell Jason one thing right now. "They're a double digit favorite. I know how good Andy Reid has been coming off of arrest. And I know the idea that's out there that the Chiefs were just going to flip a switch, but I like Nick Chubb. Like Karim Hunt. I like this. This Brown's team playing with no pressure to go on the road and perform well, I am taking the Browns plus 10. But I'm also taking the over 57. I think that they're gonna be a lot of points scored would not surprise me of both teams here. Go for 30. I think the chief's win. I just think tennis too steep. Yeah, I'm really torn on the side. But I definitely agree with the over here because Kansas City off Abi, with Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid as a combination. They score well over 30 points a game, So I think Kansas City's got that side covered, and I think Cleveland And run the ball against Kansas City. So I think 10 is probably about right. Maybe a little high, but I definitely like the over the best on this one. All right. And then the final game Sunday bucks on the road at the Saints. I love the bucks, plus three and I also like the over 52. I think the bucks are going to dictate pace here. I like them being indoors in the dome. It's been a long time since they played in this dome. Remember Week one of the season. No, The Saints have had the books number. I even know that Historically, the third time is generally not the charm. The team that won the first two typically wins the third. But I like the way this book's offenses playing. There's no question, I think Baker Mayfield is a part of the formula quarterback. This guy was an afterthought. We thought his position was Question Mark and he's been development and has been development of other players wide receivers. Lot of young players have improved not as much on defense but certainly on offense. So we've seen a great job by the coaching staff. And as you talked about the running game The you know, Nick Chubb and Green behind, especially Nick job. I mean, Nick job. If you have 53 next job's on the football team, you're going to be a winner. He is he is, He just does everything right? He's not interested in accolades. He's not interested in celebrating, which is I'm inspired if you want to, but he's not interested in any of that. He's like, you know, in a way. He's like he doesn't run like him. But he reminds me of Barry Sanders just scores. But he gives the ball of rap and that's it. He is all business all the time. Is so hard to tackle on. I'm glad he's finally getting the recognition because I have been a huge fan and then jump for the moment the Browns drafted them. Giants hold 12 picks in 2019 NFL Draft, including two in first round

So to me, I think Colin Murray is going to be going to the cardinals with the first overall pick. And with this trade the Browns are a serious contender.
