"Yes creepshow is a surprisingly durable horror franchise now. The original creepshow was part of a wave of horror anthologies in the eighties and it boasted uncommonly accomplished pedigree. The nine hundred ninety two movie which bond a pair of equals was directed by Horror Maestro. Jorge Romero of night of the living dead fame and was written by Stephen King and the five installments contained appearances by pre cheers. Ted Danson Scream Queen Era Adrienne Bard Bowl. Yeah she used to be married to John Carpenter and king himself as a man turning into a plant after exposure to meteorite infected him with an alien parasite. It was frightening and gruesome but it didn't take itself too seriously and a dance the type of scary and funny. It was a good movie now. Creepshow is back in the anthology movie. Format barely exists anymore but anthology. Tv series are thriving. The new creepshow takes the form of an anthology series for the AMC owned Horace Streaming Service Shutter and it's the platforms. I original series and. I thought we've heard on the show before you need original series in order to continue forest streaming services to succeed. The first season is airing on. Amc Now on Monday nights started last Monday. Night is missed because I was going to do billions so from here on out. I will be covering it but season two now. Season one is already aired on Shudder. Okay so that sort of a re watch season two is going to air on shutter later this year and then I assume it will be followed up on. Amc that's when you're boil watching. Because I don't have so I'll be doing creepshow for this segment here on out but I did watch the season Premiere billions and I'm GonNa go over kind of just set it up so that those you who WanNa watch the season should and I like billions like the show and it feels like any new episodes of scripted. Television nowadays should come with a disclaimer. You know in the case of Showtime's drama billions. I imagine it would read something like this. What you're about to see was written and shot before the American outbreak of Kobe. Nineteen therefore the behavior of billions. Main characters may come off as even more solid sick than usual for those of you. Who Don't know what's up schism is. I'm sure you do. It's a theory that only the self Israel in that the self cannot be aware of anything else except itself and that describes the folks on billions. So if you're GONNA watch a show about the morally reprehensible activities of the Uber wealthy and what now looks like an alternate dimension New York City. My advice is to leave reality at the door when you turn this show on think of it as a reflection of recent but not current history because New York right now looks nothing like this and the start of a debate over whether or not rage rooms will still be a thing. Post pandemic seven episodes of season five were filmed before the corona virus force production shutdown but if the new decades which is the first episode written by Co show runners. Ben Koppelman and David. Liebman is any indication. If businesses usual for the ruthless moneymakers and dubious justice warriors populating the billions world now. We'll say this it's unclear. Exactly how much time has passed since last year's finale but it's been a few months it's been long enough for Charles Roads Senior and that's Jeffrey Domon to kick his long suffering wife to the curb Ellen and Mary. His indigenous mother of his child named Iraq San so she's considerably younger than he trusts. Me and ask for Bobby. Axelrod nets played by Damian. Lois it's been long enough for him to grow his ginger hair into something like grizzly Adams. He starts off this this episode with a pretty big beard. Charles Chuck Roads Junior played by Paul Giamati. My favorite character on the show has gone back to the drawing board. Both personally and professionally. He's resumed his quest to take down. X. So now he's pursuing the hedge fund billionaire on a cryptocurrency mining charge with the Intel being fed to him by Taylor Mason. And that's by Asia. Kate Dillon who was forced to return to access capital in season in the season. Four finale as Chuck's operative now Asia. Kate Dillon is a very interesting actor. They are non binary and that's the Pronoun they prefer so I'm using it and I just I just very intriguing. Individual to watch on screen. Chuck is also attempting self-improvement but the pair phrases soon to be ex wife. Wendy road who is played by Maggie Steph who I still see as the character on sons van arguments comes on screen. Just can't help it. I believe that he believes he can change. But he's still the same with Chuck's previous adversaries. Brian Connor Murphy Nets played by Toby. Leonard more and Wayland jets coat that's played by clancy Brown scrubbed from storyline. He kind of rubbed them out last season and now allows for Kongolo Rashad. Amodu daughter hurt the Intrepid Prosecutor Kate. Sackler to take more of a central role. And I'll be happy to see more for. The season is a long overdue creative decision because but it's much wellcome. Trust me. She's just kind of been like a person standing in the background. The whole all last season. It was kind of frustrating. Kate is going to be working alongside. Chuck Mentor now again. Which is Great. And she mentioned in the episode that she wants to you know. Take a shot at Congress and even and past seasons. I remember her mentioning that she has her eyes. It being president. So that's what type of aspiration ambition has which makes her a perfect thought kick for chuck. I think they're going to be a good team back to Wendy Maggie stiff. She's living separately from Chuck and a spacious apartment. Courtesy of acts which doesn't help in that relationship She's been in a holding pattern for several months. Her marriage the chuck is over except for the legal documentation. So Wendy Kinda takes a hard look at her future during this episode and it looks like. She's decided she wants to take control of her life so we can expect to see her. Go out this season as an independent woman. One thing I want to say about billions for those of you who have been watching and I'm just this is just sort of a plot hole. Hope they plug up. There is very little talk about bobby. Axelrod's ex wife who played by. Malan Ackerman of watchmen the movie fame. And you know. The first couple of seasons bobby was seeing somebody who really loved his sons. I mean he was that kind of New York Irish father who wanted to look like if he weren't a billionaire would be playing stickball with his kids in the alley and he sent her them off with the mother and we haven't heard of them much at all which seemed to be a big change in his personality. That really hasn't been explained very well other than that. I think the the show has been Painting on all cylinders and it looks like this season is going to be a good one as well so I'll be talking about billions here and there during the course of its season and I'll be focusing on creepshow during the segment unless it really starts to suck. Then we're going to go back to billions and that is it for this episode of the GS MC television podcast. Yes we're part of the mighty GS MC podcast network. "From the actress point of view. I am a staunch supporter of actors. That's one of the things. I really enjoy the most about performances. So let me. Just get down to it. The blacklist it's going to close out at seven season but it's going to have a little twist to it. The after production on the NBC drama was halted due to the corona virus pandemic. Is Everything talk about? Nowadays has and the show turned to animation. Help complete the season finale. They are going to have a hybrid episode that set to air on Mayf- teeth and it's going to be the finale of the series of that of that season. The series has been renewed again for another season. Twenty Twenty One. Now my partner. Joan Watch the blacklist while she watches reruns of the blacklist. She doesn't watch them live of we. None of us have come to do that but she she likes the black list she said has gotten a little little off the rails but people are watching it. Still 'cause they have a new season anyway. This last episode in this finale is called the Kassian brothers because then brothers the Kazini and brothers. I don't know how to pronounce it. Anyway those who watch the show probably know who these characters are but anyway it was mid weight. They were midway through filming. This thing in New York when production had the stop in mid March. So the show's producers looked for a solution and as they say outside of the box way to complete the episode and what they settled on which is an interesting twist is a graphic novel style animation. And it's going to be incorporated with the scenes have already been filmed so I don't know if this is going to be like a take on me type of thing where someone walks through the door and all of a sudden they're in a animated situation is not going to be necessarily Roger Rabbit. 'cause I guess they're going to be animated scenes and live action. Scene is just not going to be a mix. It says that actors recorded dialogue from their homes for the animated scenes and all animation and editing was done remotely now. This is the thing about animation. I brought this up right when this grownup virus thing hit because everything's shutdown except for animated series like the Simpsons and family guy. Because they could do all of that work remotely and now Fox has green lit a new drama. Prime Time animated drama. That's supposed to premiere sometime next year and I think one of the things that helped the project get a green light. I don't know might have been a great premise. But the fact that it's so nimble and it takes very little overhead. You don't have as many logistical problems. There's not as many levers to pull and all of that to to do animation as opposed to live action now. The Hollywood reporter reported that production on a number of animated series had continued as I said before largely interrupted during the pandemic. I talked about that on this. Show the blacklist joins pop. Tv's one day the time in extending its season by using animation. Now one day the time will air an animated special later in the spring after being forced to shut down filming midway through its thirteen episode season the CBS legal drama all rise. They just aired episode where they did it like on zoom it was I. Guess what it would be like. They ninety lots the episode now. I'm not a fan of all rise. Those you listen to the show know that I won't get into that but I think they had episode where it was supposed to be. They did a case over zoom and that was the plot of the show and it was well received so great for them. But that's a whole different story than animation. Now the fine season finale blacklists. We'll follow the task force as an investigating accountant who works for criminals. In order to find the violent and thuggish brother's hired for his protection so we will see how this works out. I think it's GonNa work out just fine. I saw still. And if you Google and on Google blacklist animation season finale. You'll see some of the the frames for it. Looks pretty good and I can see how they can start the production of animated dramas could be a thing in the future and we might have more voice actors working in the future then. Live acting action actors working in the future. That's all I'm saying. People like the lovely meal. Kunas are well positioned for the future. She is an accomplished voice actress. And she's pretty good in front of the camera too so Kudos to her all as. Let's see what happens in the future with animation. More breaking news. This one is from the mouse house. Disney plus has reached fifty four point five million subscribers worldwide. Mccarthy said the company would take the rare step of skipping the payment for the first half of the company's twenty twenty fiscal year which ends on September Thirtieth. And that will save. Disney about one point six billion dollars if the dividend payment was in keeping with recent levels at about eight cents per share. Well it's hard to feel bad for Disney especially since they will rebound. But they're going to have to retool like everyone is with how they do business on their live action or amusement park side. You know things are going to have to be different. It will be interesting to see how they deal with amusement park lines in their hotels and restaurants in such and finally a little breaking news. I liked that character and I liked the Sarah Connor chronicles sorry that got canceled after his entire platoon of Navy. Seals is ambushed during a high stakes covert mission. I would hope that. All covert missions are high stakes. Reese returns home to his family. With conflicting memories of the event in questions his culpability. You're never GONNA get a window you're never going to get the true number out of their Putin showed up to a hospital like four weeks ago in a whole full Hazmat suits and at that point I think Russia was a claiming they only had fifteen cases or something like that total. He wouldn't show hospital has Matsuda. They only fifteen cases. I mean they've obviously had a big problem for awhile was outside of a helicopter on strings waving weaving into the hospital. Putin is not looking good. So we'll see taking the Internet Richard W painter says if any Russian doctor's care to explain how President Putin could have done a better job protecting his people from corona virus. The time is now the window of opportunity is open so he thinks he's a funny guy fucked up troll Richard Richard Painter. She's pretty good. Yeah it's pretty fun so it's no worse than we did and it was just no no. You're right you're gotta get gotTa get to just craft you than us. All right FELLAS GOT. We got a couple of minutes here to make the second round. We've got a get these commuters if there are any right now Do the show quick. Let's go back to space mountain to set off the second round. Nasa is hard at work moving the future of the space program into the hands of people. Like Jeff bezos. But we're talking about earlier Elon. Musk in a way. For the likes of Boeing and other long tenured aerospace contractors last Thursday they awarded Moon Lander contracts so to build the next S- Craft that will land on the moon to blue origin. Visas company SPACEX Musk's company and one other company called like dianetics or something to compete for building mood landers by two thousand twenty one at which point whoever's got the Best Moon Lander in two thousand twenty one is GonNa be tasked to build that Moon Lander and get it onto the moon by twenty twenty four. Which is what. President trump has requested. These billionaires are competing against each other up to build a fucking Fort on the moon and whoever wins is well. I hope that third companies not actually dynamics cut means the scientology's take not it's not l Ron Hubbard's dianetics fools by made his they'd win. Yeah well whoever does win And gets to build the Moon Lander Wall so probably play a big role in the larger project of building a permanent base on the South Pole of the moon which is called project artem EST by NASA basics. That's happening twenty twenty four. I mean it's just a I know he's a smart guy but he just he developed a fucking really a successful way to get goods. You through through a different. It's like it's like the guy who invented the cheeseburger building fucking space rocket. You know what I mean. Yeah it's a lot like our watch out. Watch what you say about because you can make fun of being genius but if you make fun of him for being wealth is this. What about Roy Crock? He writes me a lot of Roy clock. Mcdonagh that's what I'm saying. Crock like rock anyway. Recipes US more than mosque in terms of craftiness ingeniousness. We'll see we'll see how that plays out. We've got a lot of time. Left with those clowns SPACEX will be taking astronauts to the ISS on the Dragon cruise ship on. May Twenty second. That's the first time we got a Private crew private shuttle taken up NASA ASTRONAUTS ISS and most importantly we finally know what causes F R B's Fast Radio Bursts. I have been saying have been caused by aliens this whole time 'cause they're called Space Ball Keno scientists news unfortunately for us it's not fucking aliens Wa wa Wa it's the type of neutron star called a magnet tar that releases intense amounts of energy for only fractions of seconds at a time and then that energy which is bright flashes sends. Frb's rippling all the way through space into neighboring galaxies. The reason we found out what it is finally we have a MAG guitar going off in the Milky Way right now. We're actually watching it. We see what's happening. That was living on. Who's living on the magnetized right hard? Yeah nobody knows what's inside the Magyar. It's coming from there so anyways. I thought it would be something exciting but I feel like I had to report it because it's just come for that by the way guys you guys got to watch that That documentary that the guy told the unacknowledged on Netflix I'm about three quarters of the way through it. It's very good. Oh she's here. We go to watch the hell. Yeah right all right guys. My last story might have been a little bleak with the economy in the Just having fun with the guys that most of us are GONNA be fine. Don't worry but this story this wants so truly heart warming uplifting tale no way no way around it That son of a bitch bond villain robot alien from the Future Lawn Mosque has lost his mind. Publicly lost mine publicly. He's just losing it and it's joy to see because I hate the guy and it's like the time he's lost his mind publicly. He's called a guy pedophile like a year ago. Got Away with the track to that story if you don't follow on twitter What you probably do. Since Yoda's thirty million followers you should do that today. The man tweet some truly wild shit even before crossovers you may remember. He was charged by the SEC enforced to step down as chairman of Tesla over his tweets. He's always tweeting about weed. And Grimes and just generally interesting shit like going after the pedal guy but for the most part he just seems like a normal jokester online maybe not a public figure or CEO. But look at our president. Twenty twenty. And I'm cool if you wanted or Donald WanNa pop off some jokes while the fuck dot but now enter Kovic nineteen and it's gotten a little out of hand for you on It's not funny anymore taking it to the Internet. Ilan said this on twitter last week. He said my girlfriend at Grimes Z. Asses mad at me. Nice that's all that's all I had for that and then Earlier in the day said later in the day Tesla's stock prices too high in my opinion. So just dump Hamasaki now. Let's get into the covy at stuff on March sixty tweeted. The Corona virus panic has done and then on March Sixteenth Tesla Defied California shelter in place order and held it. Silicon Valley factory open and then a bunch of workers got sick with covert team. He just kept him and kept him in the office several weeks too late and they all that sick but a lot of them on March seventeenth. He proclaimed that kids are essentially immune to the virus in all fifty states have reported positive cases for Children. They get a low rate but things are popping up for young people like covert foot. Which is disgusting if you haven't seen it it's those yeah. Purple Toes Red Rashes. It's disgusting and they're also more serious things like fatal strokes occurring in young people so kids are not essentially immune to the virus. Everyone on March Twentieth said. Many doctors are not treating patients due to fear of giving or receiving Covert Nineteen. So just call it a lot of doctors cowards. For No reason on March twenty then he publicly announced on twitter he was going to donate ventilators to hospitals and looked like a hero on April sixteenth. Tweeted out a list of some of the hospitals. He sent ventilators too and when they were reached out for comment they said he actually sent us sleep apnea machines no way you can save the lives of covert nineteen victims. Looks like a hero and he sent these fucking machines thousand exactly like no. She likes the submarine to was exactly exactly. So where's the submariner action? We'll fuck you. You don't like my ventilators you're a pedophile. Where is it couldn't do it? That that's why he just went straight to free American now. That was that was. That's why he went there so then he went to free America. Now that was one reaction and then the last reaction I think this is the true reaction to people not like an asleep apnea machines and give him a hard time. He said I am selling almost all physical. Possession own will own no house. It's like what so then update on that one. Forbes is reporting that you on musk's listing of his larger homes for sale anyone forty million dollars for them so maybe maybe keep an eye on what he's saying on twitter he's following through with it. About the tiger king. Yeah and now that its cage. I really couldn't imagine it being anyone else. I'm fucking excited. This'll Zach restaurant could have been a decent jokes compared to cage no way. They're roughly the same age. Cages and Oscar winner is a fucking nut job. It's going to be perfect brother. The series guys is being produced by imagine television. Which is Ron Howard and Brian Grazer company and and CBS television will be footing. The bill is the studio. No word on who will be distributing the series yet as it will be taken to market in the coming days but based on their current own it or nothing business model. My guess is net flicks is probably out. Now keep in mind you. This is different than a scripted. Tiger king story that we once heard about a couple of months ago which is an adaptation of the wonder podcast titled Joe Exotic. "Could a Canadian Kuchma kindly? Kuchma could cook my cousin by the seashore. Would I give a fuck if a cannot cut me Lake Cook so dumb can't even true? Oh Yeah role playing. That's fun. Yeah we're all being pegged at home. If you're dumb enough to believe it you'll go for anything. What do you mean all right guys go? You highlight WHOA. Whoa are bunnies are sinning. Bodies are moving to get outta here so heavy like migraine or whatever. Thank God we just have the Krona virus which is mild for most filed people which I just want to point out. Are the other people at this table. Have Kids Yeah. And those kids carry the without symptoms. And they don't they. They've already verified zero percent. No we we don't have any tests in American because we're the greatest country in the world. Did you know nobody knows how many people will have it today? Donald Trump was asked about the the Americans on the cruise ship of California right now and he said that he does not want them to be brought back because that would double the number of corona stuff. He's like I want the numbers say down. Perfect live in the ocean forever. It's been in Washington for two months. There's no way there's like a thousand cases we don't know about. Yeah Yeah I mean the the number of tests I mean you have to literally be mostly dead before they even give a test to you now because we have only a handful of them if you die of pneumonia these still don't test you. How Hugh die from Isis? Well actually just read a bunch of having an album rate currently sure we will. I just read a bunch of people from Seattle talking about this and saying like two or three weeks ago. Basically like everybody. Seattle got corona virus and didn't know what they all got mild flu like mild fever dry cough. I read the same thing and I was in when I got really sick when I was in New York for the NFC conference. I never felt that way before is a key type of sick. I wasn't super bad. It's just a weird different kind of feeling. I'd never been through that kind of thing before and then I kind of got over it and I wonder like was I always like it just ahead of the curve and nobody knew about it yet. What did you have a raspy cough? I had a raspy cough. I had flu like symptoms. Body aches stuff but he's super lethargic. Mary lethargic I laid in bed when ivory on China I was. I was there for prostitution and get the silver lining here though. Like someone's GonNa make a great Mike Corona Harry Song about this. I saw twitter. I don't know if this was fake but it was a twitter. That WAS CORONA VIRUS OFFERS. Like ten million dollars if they'll chains crow if they change the corona virus literally any other name and they suggested. Liar. They'll pay thirty million if because that's really anyway but this is all data stuff here. This will be all dead or the won't be a problem with this. One goes on Monday. The supreme leader told us that it's going to be done in fifteen days right and we were kind of a head of the curve. We didn't talk about Corona virus. Like right is it started up. Yeah we we really talking about how we were going to all be dead. Maybe by the next episode. Yeah we're all this episodes dead inside. I mean yeah. Let's not talk about Picard yet. I did watch five episodes of Picard. Which Dead No. I'm GonNa have the minority have some good things to say that because I'm GONNA come out. I don't a lot of good so tip I hear you've been working on getting us some sponsors. I mean I feel like the sponsored pro. Be Good to do right before. The view is that where? Where are we doing? Chit Chatty? Yeah Yeah I figured let. Let's let's Chitchat. Started out like What this is a question? I keep meaning to ask. What Video Games are? Y'All planning what's going on. I played REC room. That's the only thing you've ever played in your life. I started playing replaying super hot button. Extremo that's extreme mode only headshots or what Yes the headshot only mode that man. That is tough stuff. It really sucks in that game when you get into a situation like there's one level where you're on a construction thing and you're up high and there are two guys who are away from you in down low and they have to circle around to get up to you and if you fail to hit them with the like five bottles that are up there then you just have to stand there waving your arms for like two minutes to get them to run to you with Your Life. Yawning their bullets. If we have super hot the way you move time forward is by moving your hands. And so there's lots of ties like say the Super Far Away. And you're just dancing imagining headshot mode. I would just have to be dancing so much. Delete there's I don't know if it's a feature or a bug but if you throw a gun after you beat the level and then catch it just as you're transitioning to the next level and you get to keep the gun data feature. There's a couple of levels like that most of it's really. It's really hard to get it to work right. I don't know always cry or throw when I know my new place is going to be but most of the times it like something. What are you getting your something I can do is throw just a little up in the air and then as the world starts to transition you grab it again and you'll have it. Sounds like a but I think I've had that work but I don't think it works reliably. Maybe the quest version is shitty. You had to get the timing. The timing spot. The ones I've seen is like you're on top of the mall and you'll you'll see like a sky window n you you throw it through the window. Teleport down you look up and you grab it because that would be cool but whenever I throw stuff in. Vr can never get it to go where I want. It's just some people are really good at it like an REC room. The other day someone was actually lobbing grenades like all the way across the the was the paint away from one into the because I don't play. Vr. A one time at your house. I did so let me ask them some stupid questions so I can pick your brain but in regards to throwing it across the platform games all the different games or interactions types of things. Something like throwing is that always is physics. It always the same no now even shooting the physics. It's just a regular video game like they're going to have their physics engines. So there's so yeah. Some people were licensing it out. Some people are building it out. There's a lot of games of this for is for having bad throwing mechanics. Yeah were you would want to standardize things jumping and throwing because if this is GonNa be where it's eventually going to go where it takes over alive. We lived the half our lives in this. Vr World. You would want to have these. Things are standards. But I don't know even in regular flat screen gaming the way that jumping chair and everything works is different from title to title and then assign lesser-used more true than is now so there are still there. There are people that only work on physics engines and then they licensed them out to different video games. So you probably play games with the Havoc visit rate. Yeah and that's that's the most popular one. I've seen that keeps it similar like in there could be understand. There's probably a couple of options in the desktop gaming. But there's nothing like that happening in the Space Work Havoc Physics. I would imagine the unity has built some visitors. Also there's a thing called six. Vrt K which is a VR tool. Kit that's available for unity. It might also be available for unreal. That has like a standardized set of Vr interactions call. I get it but it does feel like there's a lot of tweets going on with that as a big thing is that we're so early into VR that it's like if you tried to standardize how controls worked when doom came out and the controllers are all really different. So that's another thing I'm interested in. What your experiences. When you get tip when you get your user self should go with the Oh shit no All right hey gay call them tipping like how do they know it's Chris Hackett? I'm dusty mcchord and I'm Tim. "No word for word. What they build said. Really? He said doesn't matter. We love matter. What she started crying and said there's going to be so hard for you. How do we know that Mary and a couple other accounts Mary road out of get out? Peel. I'm just saying Jordan Peele now when I get support the it's a superhero movie, he's compared to galactica in the movie, it is a marvel movie. It's the same myth as a marvel movie who said this after they sought in Roberts from the upright citizens brigade. I know he and walks up to me and goes, I feel you made like the origin story of doctor doom. Yeah. That's what it is. It kind of is because I mean, I also look at it. Because one of the knocks we got from certain corners was why did you humanize him? And I'm like, well, there's no point in telling the story, the whole reason there's a story there is because he was human. Yeah. And he did change. And why there's a story, right? And if you don't do that, we're just, you know, it's a political cartoon the entire time. You know? Right. And so you are on percent, correct. Like actor doom when he was at the academy had some interesting ideas, but they laughed at him. But you know, so Jaideep do you mentioned the plastic Dave due to this podcast, and we were talking about mythology and how we both Joseph Campbell. And we're talking about how America currently has a broken mythology. I'm guilty of enjoying it. But it is the look at captain America. Look at Nick cage the played by Sam Jackson, the agent of shield. That's Cheney, you know, we're going to have this thing, and it can shoot a laser that can kill anybody, and captain America's like, I don't know about this. But they use it or look at Christian bale in the dark night. We have surveillance thing that listens to every cell phone number signed batmans conflicted about vigilantism vigilante, and do whatever you can and the biggest gun wins. That's the problem. Cooling thing about marvel. And I gotta give Feigen ton of credit. He knows that. So winter soldier actually addresses that like. And I wrote on the first man like we actually deal with that like. Yeah. We. Yeah. Yeah. The movies if they didn't seem winter soldier ten times. I've seen man. You know, what I'm saying is really good. I don't know. I keep going back to ragnarok is my all time favorite. It has what I call. No offense humor. Which is that New Zealand guy who I love what I'll be like am yourself. Nice little jacket. Don't that? It's too little just right? Good coupling elephants. You sit whatever you say you act as if they might be offended by. That's totally legit. I like the magic shouldn't behind that movie. I don't mean to be putting it down Arte Ling. Like who'd like how I wanted like studied the process of writing that script. Yeah. That movie knocked me. That's my all time favorite marvel. But I way far afield your idea of broken mythology. Yeah. That's like at the core of vice? Yeah. Like that is it is it's the real life broken. That is I mean, they buy I mean, the money interest were really smart, they redesigned American mythology. They basically told us if you use government your week. It's a nanny state you gotta wear a cowboy hat, and you got to do it on your own except bilionaire is because they that's their money. And why would you ever want to take it, and that's our predominant even with people? Sometimes that are left wing Democrats. You still see them kind of buying the idea that anyone who takes Welfare's lazy? Anyone who's right? And I was pointed out after the economic collapse in seven eight I'm like, so what suddenly five million people just got really lazy? No. But you do George lack off at all. Oh, God, you're gonna love lack off he talks about political metaphors studied the Republican party. And how they use the father figure as their kind of central messaging device. Really? Yeah. You'll you'll oh the topic. Oh my God. You'll inhale off. And he's good begging Democrats for years to say, the only thing that counters the mythology of the father is the betraying father..

"Put a link in the show notes, you should subscribe. It's a lot of fun. But here's what I noticed with Nick cage. Wildly spending money always needing work. I was looking at his filmography and IMDB, and I noticed that he's been making three. Four movies a year for you gotta pay. Nobody has heard of any of these movies. I was like are you serious with these Nick cage movies rugs? You are you do you follow his career that closely because I I occasionally will spin a Nick age will only shit and 2017 there's five movies twenty. But you're right. I think he'll take anything because he off the IRS is a known fact in Hollywood that Nick cage will not refuse a raw. He really won't he's done. But. But you know, it's so sad because he's done really good movies. He's been really good in some great movies. And then just like complete shit and weird in a lot of these Mike question for you. Is this emroe has he well, I mean, look I was thinking Leaving Las Vegas, but I guess that's just plays. There's one from the ninety s the adaptation adaptation, Boorda war. I thought he was very good in Lord of war. And then you know, he's done a lot of Boise's for cartoons. So I don't know face off. He's over the top. But it works like the rock Conair, Nick cage, you know, the late nineties. But here's the thing. The fact that he's done so many movies that nobody's ever heard of. We're going to play a game. I just made up. It's called never heard of it. The Nick cage addition, here's how it works gang. I'm gonna give you the title the year and the name of a character of Nikkei's movie and read you the description that we'll have certain blanks that you need to fill it. Right, right. All right. I got I got mad libs. A Nikkei's living a Nick cage movie. Let's start off with a movie called Bankok dangerous seen it. Oh. Oh shit. Okay. So you guys be able to get to should we? Let's see. Let's see if you could nail. Oh, well, you guys have seen it. Let's see. Well, let's have fun with it two thousand eight he plays a character named Joe fill in the blanks here a blank who's in Bangkok to pull off a series of jobs, violates his personal code when he falls for a blank blank and bonds with his blink. Blink. What is this movie about what are the blinks? All right. So he is a contract killer. All go. They go. And when he falls for a target that he has could you be a little more specific. The. The girl. Paul spur local woman and with this blank. Blink. With his his mother's. Mother snake? What's your guess? Don. How're? I'm gonna say it said he falls for a local women in bonds with his next victim. All correct survey says he falls where look woman and bonds with his errand. Boy, we were looking for Aaron boy, which sounds really weird. Okay. He's bonding with his errand boy. All right moving on this wasn't. He might have seen. Also, it's called drive angry. I did not see this. I did not see it. But I definitely know of it. Okay..

Because I think that's what I really like about minimum late as he takes over somebody else. You know that story. That's interesting that a lot of people like and. Yeah. And if in spider in the Slater verse does good. Fibers. I think it's easier to do animation for Sony late to tell that spider story. You know Spiderman story easily Pena in it. Hey, another intimated movie this year with Nick cage, Juna voice. I know that really like they added him. It was really we remember we talked about that story a while ago. Easy stuff leaving his movies. Like this. I watch this movie Cobb Mandy insane. Dislike any suits cage. Wig remained, Nick cage. Numb dislike. Did I see an article somewhere not get too off topic? But like Nick later Lert. Yeah. But Nick cage wants be lex Luther now. Yes. I saw that. I was like if we were still doing information returns landed rock he would actually because he can't deal Kevin Spacey anymore. He would accident department replacement The, there, you you know, know. not in this year EC you though, we're still doing the brand new rock. Absolutely. Yeah. I mean, you know, he was going to be superman for awhile. Now, he wants to be lex Luther just stole the declaration of independence, Manhattan. Kevin is never going to direct. You don't know. That was not in the late nineties there that whole Shaquille O'Neal steel era Honora. I fear is about the steel movie. We can talk about that are minimum Hinson one day when we do a superman specials, but anyway, yeah. Consta- Vittal the are the name on one, but might have potential the edges wanted. They have upon the flooding it, unfortunately. Yeah. I don't know what I want to. I don't really know what I want from a venom ongoing if Peter Parker's Matthew like, I I don't know what I want. Do. We want to go back to the whole planet do in transformers crab. I mean, a little bit of Ditton in the alien origins of the suit. But. I know it sounds weird with like when half your characters in alien, but like keep it more street level. Let me see venom Platon some villains or saw you like that we protect her. Then you want something like that something. Yeah. Or either haven't Platon super villains or have him be like a like a cross between Spiderman in the punisher, you know, which we've already gotten before. But yeah. Yeah. But, you know, just basically like super pot. You know, like Spiderman he's not afraid to kill. And. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, they wanna they want an anti hero. You know as Charlie. Ezra says your skid. Skin, stabbing wishy washy again take direction induces run with it. Yeah. 'cause seems like sometimes they wanna make it. They they're kind of trying to push more towards the hero side no-no keeping me on tight here. That's pretty much the only note that I would give him our love them. Yeah. A lot of people know what anti hero means anymore either. Yeah. Because a lot of stuff it gets grim and gritty so I mean, look at these universe. So. Yeah. Yeah. The lime kind of blurs anymore. The man now, I'll I'll be heaping an ion that'll made everything else kind of new. Hollywood. There's good minnow many suitors. I haven't found one yet. I'm sorry. I don't mean there's like them change. But I just I don't know. They're also very gratuitous rhino. But yet the only is right in this. Current venom stuff. I'll do the cage thing. Okay. But I feel like he was really in it with this one. You know, some absurd things yet to swallow some certainties. Why not just kill the case? Do we know I keep them alive and tell them up? Why do that old trope? Why sure. Do we know if off the top of your head, if Nick cage was in any George p cosmic does movies back in the day because the wonder Wonder if if like. it would make sense to me, narrative wise that he would maybe know his son, the young cosmic does and what maybe he would've maybe put out a little more Nick cage is is for higher these days. He'll mail it very poor man trying now I don't. I don't think that he. It was on Tuesday. No, I think you're out on a limb. Really, I'll shadow conspiracy. He was okay. Yeah. Leviathan was on Cobra k. was not in any of the short films. He was not in the beloved. No. So my my narrative is there are no short films spoke us into Rambo, okay. No, he was a full. He wasn't in Rambo cage, not in Rambo, just just to let you guys. I like to think of the film ball is a service and all the listeners know that Nick cage not in Rambo. One of the north. He was in wasn't moved in Oregon in Rambo away. Now in first blood in Oregon wandering. Remember he was a Vietnam veteran Rambo was didn't go back to war. He, he's, he's Rambo, he's he's released by prison to go the government for a top, seek covert mission to last place on earth. He'd want to return to jungles Vietnam. The cage not in there, right? Yeah, I'm fine. All right. So, yeah, maybe I did like I did appreciate it. Little little touches the detail to like it takes maybe fifteen minutes before we actually see the Mandy title card, which is very, very like dark black metal was cannibal corpse. Have you seen like we're all veins or running? Why am I trying to talk to you about this? But you have zero exposure to any of this. You ever even heard of cannibal corpse? Of course, they're heavy metal band actually have ever heard of hammer face. It's a good song. Okay. Mandy the logo. The logo? Yes. So before that, I think the first place there in the shadow mountain or something and beautiful, beautiful. Like illustrated title card comes up shadow mountain that the sound effect comes in. It's a real throwback real throwback, and I did quite enjoy some of the cult characters. However, I wanted to one of the more speaking of colts. You see that Postle trailer. You're talking about possible last week. I'm not going to be out holy shit on on. Fuck flex only from the director of two hour raid redemption. Yeah, which made me think we're getting solid action movie. Oh my God. This is straight up horror gory Noga. I'm crazy. I'm sure they'll be access even says, I don't know how not to there was a few action sequences, but the gore that's in this movie is going to be off on another level. I mean, I'm in. Can like Mel Gibson Adelaide restrain himself, very tried so hard and actually originally thirty forty minutes. Then finally get to the war parties. I just pictured him like break into the low going. It's kind of like remember how back in the day you had to wait like half an hour after eating. We're going to the pool wherever was really ramps, but like you had to wait long enough long enough. Not quite. Yeah. Is it time time? Okay, now you can go in and we jumped in the pool. For Mel Gibson just unleashed after that I act. He was just like, let me give you blood..

"And since and it was however nice to see lance ericsson on the big screen again and he definitely get you money's worth of pin nick cage absolute madness yes with a performance dialed all the way up to eleven doubled all the way up to nick i mean he does go full nick page in the film which is we had one guy computers because because people may not for the very quickly just say what the film is about it what was the film all about than that okay so this the thing is that when you know the thing the horror movies do the best is that they take something which has a sort of footing in reality and then they turn it into something which is fantastic but at the same time is actually about something israel's of the story here is that there is a couple who have grown up and they've become sort of boring boring stayed lives and something then happens there is an outbreak of a kind of hysterical virus or you know maybe it's a television signal it's very kronenbourg in which causes parents to turn on their children so suddenly it's like the to to boost subject you take another parental love child and he turned that round the uturn into a sort of fantastic will horrifying as you said it's directed by somebody who's one half never lean taylor who frankly would known for cranking choice of words deliberates everything up to eleven t stupid i actually feel the mom and dad worked quite well in this that idea about being one of those twilight zone whwhat f kind of ideas i did also think of the symptoms is sort of film that if you'd if you lose patience with the elise patients with a pretty thoroughly and he does tied back to piggy cigar but there is a sequence in in which nick at each attacks a pull table in the kind of way the only nick cage can and it reminded me so much of those somebody wants did look at bouba montage of scenes of nick cage melting down and the best one is the sequence of nick cage in.
