Now that the house January 6th committee has subpoenaed former president Trump, what's the panel's timeline for getting something from him? CBS News congressional correspondent Scott McFarland joined Sean and Hillary with more on that. Every time I look at the letter and the subpoena I look at the date for the deadline, November 4th is the deadline for Donald Trump to hand over records November 14th is the deadline for the deposition. That's just right around the midterm election night itself by a few days on either side. The committee has argued that it's apolitical. It is not functioning as a political arm, but as an investigative arm, trying to prevent a recurrence of January 6th, but it's hard to avoid the politics and the political reality that if Donald Trump defies the subpoena. He's going to do so partly four days before an election. And it's hard to extricate non bind those two things. We have heard about threats against Supreme Court Justices and the court building itself here in recent weeks and months. What's being done about it? Well, there were two within an hour of each other, a man arrested allegedly with guns and his white minivan and a man arrested, trying to get his way through the north door to get to chief justice John Roberts, but there's a third case you may recall. A man from California arrested for allegedly a threatening to kill justice Brett Kavanaugh arrested in Maryland by Montgomery county police. Federal law enforcement tells CBS News that man appears in court Wednesday in greenbelt. We are likely to find out much more about the case of Nicholas Rossi, but I'll note this, the fencing, the 8 foot black fencing that was erected just before the abortion rights ruling was handed down is gone and there have been a series of breaches and this is raising any number of concerns about court staff and members of Congress who have oversight of the courts. Security funding. Well, there's yet something else to talk about on the hill. And that's political signs, not really being very good for Democrats keeping the house, even if they do, and at this point Paul's consider it a long shot. There's a lot of speculation about the future of speaker Nancy Pelosi. What is she saying about that, Scott? She was asked on face the nation what her future is and begged off the question of wouldn't directly respond. We look back at two of the last three times, a wave ushered in a change of majority in the U.S. House, the Speaker of the House, ended up leaving that position, the one exception was 2010. It was Nancy Pelosi, which begs the question, what's to happen if Democrats lose control of the House? It's not uncommon for the leader of the party. In this case, Nancy Pelosi and the congressional races to not comment on that are not directly respond, but there is a young generation of democratic lawmakers trying to make a move up and this may be their window. That is CBS News congressional correspondent Scott McFarland. Coming up drivers might want to slow down or pay the price soon. It's ten 13. Hey, Washington fan. This is the win. Two boat 22 MVP. The first decision is on a case regarding representation in North Carolina, the high court holding that the state's Republican legislative leaders are allowed to intervene in a case challenging North Carolina's voter ID law.
