Like he's happy to just to pave the way for max to do the things that max does. And that's what Red Bull needs. The problem is, is that Red Bull wants two Max Verstappen's and that's not checkout. But I think londo is the closest to that. I think that he's the closest driver on the grid. That max fights. I don't know if Russell I don't know if George has the raw almost stupid confidence that Lando does. I think that's fair. That's why I feel like I perceive that he will just put that car in places and that is like a thing that he does and I would like to see him in a top team like that. Obviously, if Lewis retires, I would love to see Lando and Mercedes. Obviously. But I just think I think for whatever reason that the Red Bull would really suit him. You might be right. So it would also help me like them. But I think it would be a travesty if we never got to see him in a winning car. Agreed. Because he could be a world champion. A weird, humbling start to the year so far for Lewis Hamilton. He's just happy to be around and hanging around the top at all in Formula One. Here are the constructors standings right now. You've got Ferrari in first place with 78 points. Behind them, Mercedes and second with 38 points, Red Bulls and third right now at 37 points. The top two teams right now in Formula One are Red Bull and Ferrari, Red Bull had problems finishing the race during the first race of the year, but in Bahrain. But I don't know, man, I see a world where something's going to happen if Ferrari along this incredibly long season where it's going to be very quick that at some point, they're going to be closer and more neck and neck. But the two top teams right now in Formula One are very clearly Ferrari and Red Bull. Then you got Alpine in fourth place with 16 points. Hass is in 5th place with 12 points. "Nicholas Latifi crashed his Williams. And this really, really screwed Sergio Pérez, because the margins are razor thin in Formula One. And check go took a normal length pit stop. And then immediately everyone else behind him was handed a cheaper pit stop under caution. And so, you know, with a safety car. So this took checo from P one all the way back to putting him in P four. And it was just painfully unlucky timing. I would have liked to see how the race would have played out if he'd found a way to stay in P one and not been screwed over by that timing, but that's F one. That happens sometimes, and there's nothing you can do about it. But it's a reminder that, look, that narrow, like that ten second advantage you get from taking a pit stop under a safety car can mean the difference between first place and fourth place and form of the one, and that's so very much why I love this sport. Now, lap 36, the race took a turn one more time from the early race and some of the fun drama to be a chaotic mess for a little bit and then turning into a whole different race. So there was a cascade of problems and retirements. On lap 36, Fernando Alonso's Alpine was overheating. He was in 7th at the time, so he had to retire from the race. That's a big deal. Lap 37, Daniel Ricciardo just suddenly lost power and stalled out right in front of the pit entry. It actually blocked Lewis Hamilton from being able to go take a pit stop, which he was in P 6 at the time, and he had to wait a while to get a tire change and that pushed him back down the grid a little bit more. And then a lap 38, Valtteri Bottas had to retire. So after this weird kind of frenzy of moments and retirements, what was left was this incredible battle during the final 8 to ten laps of the race between Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. The Red Bull versus the Ferrari. And we got 8 laps of back and forth. Wheel to wheel driving. It was an incredible battle. Max made an early move that didn't stick. He made his move early in the lap and he passed Charlotte Clare, then Charlotte Claire passed him right back. And then eventually on lap 47 out of 50, max learned from the past was more patient waited till later in the lap..

"That's unheard of. That means you've been from the moment you set foot in the Formula One world. You are winning and doing very well. I haven't even talked about surgery over a Sergio Pérez was just amazing. Slowing down, causing trouble really backing down Lewis Hamilton, there was a moment where max was behind Lewis. And checklist in first and check up Perez really was probably the best of racing I've ever seen from Sergio Pérez, just would not allow Louis Hamilton passed a minute. It allowed Max Verstappen to catch up and close the gap from third to second to get closer to his Hamilton. And that's because Sergio Pérez was in the first slowing down. It's amazing amazing crowd. "I think that's just the face of the Alpine to be honest. It was a good final sector frock on that. It was a personal best. I mean, if they get anywhere near them on the front of the grid, they could be in with a chance of causing some havoc turn one. And we know turn one at cota because of its uphill slope, you can break late. It's quite wide. That could get interesting tomorrow. I think that's a bit of a red herring though from Ferrari McLaren. I don't think they'll actually be quite that close in terms of lap time. But it's nice to see shy up there. And it's going to be really, really close between those.
