"Attack is for in peace when is rubbed by them and in war by the enemy. The fact is they have no other attraction or reason for keeping the field than a trifle of stipend which is not sufficient to make them willing to die for you. They already enough to be your soldiers whilst you do not make war but if war comes they take themselves off or run from the foe which i should have little trouble to prove for the ruin of italy has been caused by nothing else than by resting all her hopes for many years on mercenaries and although they formerly made some display and appeared valiant amongst themselves yet when the furnace came they showed what they were thus it was that charles king of france was allowed to seize italy with chalk in hand and he told us that our sins with the cause of it told the truth but they were not the sins he imagined but those which i have related and as they were the sins of princes it is the princes who have also suffered the penalty. I wished to demonstrate further the infelicity of these arms. The messenger captains are the capable men or they are not if they are you cannot trust them because they always aspire to that own greatness either by pressing you who their master or others contrary to your intentions but if the captain is not skilful you are ruined in the usual way and if it'd be urged that whoever is armed will act in the same way with a mercenary or not. I reply that when arms have to be resorted to either by prince or republic then. The prince ought to go in person and perform the duty for captain. The republic has descended citizens and when sent who does not turn out satisfactorily. It ought to recall him and when one is worthy to hold him by the laws so that he doesn't leave. The command and experience has shown princes and republics single-handed making the greatest progress and mercenaries. Doing nothing accepted damage. And it is more difficult to bring a republic armed with its own arms under the sway of one of its citizens and it is to bring one armed with foreign arms rome and spotter stood for many ages armed and free the switzer's completely armed and quite free of ancient mercenaries for example there are the carthaginians who had oppressed by their mercenary soldiers. After the first war with the romans that the carthaginians had their own citizens for captains.

"The one that no foreigner should into italy and arms the other that none of themselves should seize more territory. Those about whom there was the most anxiety with the pope and the venetians to restrain the venetians. The union of all the others was necessary as it was for the defense of ferrara and to keep down the pope. They made use of the barons of rome. Who being divided into two factions. Orsini and colonna city had always a pretext for disorder and standing with arms in their hands under the eyes of the pontiff kept the pontificate weak and powerless. And although there might arise sometimes a courageous pope such sixties yet neither fortune nor wisdom could rid him of these annoyances and the short life of pope is also a cause of weakness for ten years. Which is the average life of pope he can with difficulty lower one of the factions. And if so to speak one. Pope should almost destroy the colin acey. Another would arise hostile to the orsini who would support their opponents and yet would not have time to ruin the orsini. This was the reason why the temporal power of the pope will little esteemed in italy alexander. The sixth arose afterwards. Who of all the pontiff's that have ever been showed. How pope with both money and arms was able to prevail. And through the instrumentality of the duke valentino and by reason of the entry of the french he brought about all those things which i have discussed above in the actions of the duke and although his intention was not to aggrandize the church but the duke nevertheless what he did contributed to the greatness of the church which after his death and the ruin of the duke became the to all his labors pope julius came afterwards and found the church. Strong possessing all the remainder. The barons of rome reduced to impotence and through the chastisement of alexander the factions wiped out. He also found the way open to accumulate money in a manner. Such as had never been practiced before alexander's time such things. Julius not only followed but improved upon and he intended to gain bologna to ruin the venetians and to drive the french out of italy. All of these enterprises prospered with him and so much more to his credit and as much as he did everything to strengthen the church and not any private person he kept also the knee and collins ac factions within the bounds in which he found them and although there was among them some mind to make disturbance nevertheless he held two things firm the one the greatness of the church with which terrified them and the other not allowing them to have their own cardinals of course the disorders among them for whenever these factions. Have that cardinals. They did not remain quiet for long. Because cardinals foster the factions in room and out of it and.

"World is so changeable it is almost impossible to keep an army a whole year in the field without being interfered with and whoever should reply if the people have property outside the city and see it burnt they will not remain patient and the long siege in self interest will make them forget their prince to this. I answer that. A powerful and courageous prince will overcome all such difficulties by giving at one time hope to his subjects that the evil will not be long at another time. Fear of the cruelty of the enemy then preserving himself adroitly from those subjects. Who seemed to him to be too bold further. The enemy would naturally on his arrival at once. Burn andrew in the country of the time when the spirits of the people that still hot and ready for the defense and therefore so much the less or the prince to hesitate because after a time when spirits of cooled the damage is already done the ills incurred and there is no longer any remedy and therefore they're so much more ready to unite with their prince he appearing to be under obligations to them now that the houses have been burnt in their possessions ruined in his defense for it is the nature of men to be bound by the benefits they confer as much as by those they receive therefore if everything is well considered it will not be difficult for a wise prince to keep the minds of his citizens steadfast from first to last when he does not fail to support and defend them chapter eleven concerning ecclesiastical principalities it only remains now to speak of ecclesiastical principalities touching which all difficulties a- prior to getting possession because they are acquired either by capacity or good fortune and they could be held without either for their sustained by the ancient ordinances of religion which are so all powerful and of such character that the principalities may be held no matter how they're prince's behave and live these princes alone have states and do not defend them and they have subjects and do not rule them and the states although unguarded and not taken from them and the subjects although not ruled do not care and they have neither the desire nor the ability to alienate themselves such principalities only a secure and happy but being upheld by powers to which the human mind cannot reach i shall speak no more of them because being exalted and maintained by god it would be the act of presumptious and rush man to discuss them nevertheless if anyone should ask of me how it comes that the church has attained such greatness in temporal power seeing that from alexander backwards the italian potentates not only those who have been called potentates but every baron lord through the smallest have valued the temporal power very slightly yet now a king of france trembles before it and it has been able to drive him from italy and to ruin the venetians although this may be very manifest it doesn't appear to me superfluous to recall it in some measure to memory and before charles i king of france passed into italy. This country was under the dominion of the pope. The venetians the king of naples the duke of milan and the florentines. These potentates had two principal anxieties..

"The prince by niccolo machiavelli translated by w k. Mariot this liberal. Vox recording is in the public domain recording by clive cattrall chapter ten concerning the way in which the strength of all principalities ought to be measured. It is necessary to consider another point in examining the character of these principalities. That is whether a prince has such power that in case of need he can support himself with his own resources a whether he has always need of the assistance of others and to make this quite clear. I say that. I consider those who are able to support themselves by their own resources. Who can either. By abundance of men or money raise sufficient tommy to join battle against anyone who comes to attack them and i consider those always to have need of others who cannot show themselves against the enemy in the field but a forced to defend themselves by sheltering behind walls. The first case has been discussed but we will speak of it again. Should it recur. In the second case one can say nothing except to encourage such prince's to provision in forty five towns and not on any account to defend the country and whoever shall fortify his town well and shall have managed the other consent of his subjects in the way stated above and to be often repeated who will never be attacked without great caution for men are always adverse to enterprises where difficulties can be seen and it will be seen not to be an easy thing to attack one who has his town well fortified and is not hated by his people. The cities of germany are absolutely free. They own but little country around them and the yield obedience to the emperor when it suits them nor do they fear this or any other power. They may have near them because they are forty five in such a way that everyone thinks the taking of them by assault would be tedious and difficult. Seeing they have proper ditches and walls they have sufficient artillery and they always keep in public depots enough for one years eating drinking and firing and beyond this to keep the people quiet and without loss to the state they always have the means of giving work to the community in those labor's that of the life and strength of the city and on the pursuit of which the people are supported they also hold military exercises in repute and moreover have many ordinances to uphold them therefore a prince who has a strong city and had not made himself odious will not be attacked. Or if anyone should attack he will only be driven off with disgrace again because that the affairs of this.

How Paganini Inspired Franz Liszt

"When franz liszt was twenty he went to a concert by violinist niccolo. Paganini the first superstar classical musician panini was as big as any rockstar today and he put on a great show. He was pale and thin. The dressed in black. He also memorized all his music which most performers didn't do them and he came up with new very difficult effects on his instrument. Missed left pag concert thinking. That's what i want to do. So he invented the solo piano recital with the piano facing sideways on the stage so that the audience could watch his hands and face

"Has to remark that men ought either to be well-treated or crushed because they can avenge themselves of lighter injuries of more serious ones that cannot therefore the injury that has to be done to a man ought to be of such a kind that one does not stand in fear of revenge but in maintaining men. They're in place of colonies. One spends much more having to consume on the garrison. All income from the state said that the acquisition turns into a loss and many more exasperated because the whole state his injured through the shifting the garrison up and down all become acquainted with hardship and all become hostile and they are enemies who whilst beaten on their own ground yet able to do heard for every reason therefore such gods as useless as a colony is useful again the prince who holds a country differing in the above respects. Oh to make himself the head and defender of his less powerful neighbors and we the more powerful amongst them taking care that no foreigner has powerless himself show by any accident. Get a footing there for it will always happen that such one will be introduced by those discontented either through excessive ambition or through fear as one has seen already. The romans were brought into greece. By the tokens and in every other country where they obtained a footing they'll brought in by the inhabitants and the usual course of affairs is the too soon as powerful and to the country. All subjects states are drawn to him moved by the hatred which they feel against the ruling power. So that's in respect to those subjects states. He has not take any trouble to gain them over to himself for the whole of them. Quickly rallied to the state which has acquired. He has only to take care that they do not get hold of too much power and too much authority and then with his own forces and with their goodwill he can easily keep down the more powerful of them so to remain entirely must in the country and he who does not properly manage. This business will soon lose what he has a quad and whilst he does hold it he will have endless difficulties and troubles the romans. In the countries which they annexed observed closely these measures they sent colonies and maintained friendly relations with the mind a palace without increasing their strength. They kept down the greater and did not allow any strong foreign pound. Gain authority appears to me sufficient for example. The akins and italians were kept friendly by them. The kingdom of macedonia was humbled and tuchus was driven out. Yet the merits of the akins and italians never secured for them permission to increase that power nor did the persuasions of philip ever induced. The romans to be his friends without first humbling him nor did the influence of antibiotics make them agree that he should retain any lordship over the country..

"The prince by niccolo machiavelli translated by w k mariette chapter one how many kinds of principalities there are and by what means required all states all powers that have held and hold rule over men have been and are either republics or principalities principalities are either hereditary in which the family has been long established or the new The new either entirely new as was milan to francesco. Sforza the as it were members annexed to the hereditary state of the prince who was a quantum as was the kingdom of naples to that of the king of spain as such dominions quad are either accustomed to live under prince or to live in freedom and required either by the arms of the prince himself or if others or else by fortune or by ability chapter two concerning hereditary principalities. I will leave out old discussion on republics inasmuch as in another place i have of them at length and will address myself only two principalities in doing so i will keep to the order indicated above and discussed how such principalities to be ruled and preserved. I say once that a few difficulties in holding hereditary states and those long accustomed to the family of their prince the new ones form it is sufficient only not to transgress the customs of his ancestors and deal prudently with circumstances as they arise for prince if average house to maintain himself in his state and less he'd be deprived of it by some extraordinary and excessive force and if he should be so deprived of it when if anything sinister happens to the usa he will regain it. We have in italy for example. The duke of ferrara. Who could not have withstood. The attacks of the venetians eighty four. Nor those of pope julius in ten unless he had been long established in his dominions for the hereditary prince has less cause and less necessity to offend hence. Tappin's that he will be more loved and unless extraordinary vices calls him to be hated. It is reasonable to expect. The two subjects will be naturally well disposed towards him and in the antiquity and duration of his rule the memories and motives that make the change lost for one change always leaves the two thing for another chapter three concerning mixed principalities but the difficulties occur in a new principality and firstly if it be not entirely new but is as it were a member of state which taken collectively maybe called compass it. The changes is chiefly from an inherent difficulty there is an all new principalities for men change their rules willingly hoping to better themselves and this hope induces them to take up arms against him who wherein they deceived because they afterwards find by experience they have gone from bad to worse this follows also another natural uncommon necessity which always causes a new prints to burden those who have submitted to him with his soldierly and with infinite out the hardships which you must put upon his new acquisition. In this way you have enemies and all those whom you have injured in seizing that principality and not able to keep those friends who put you that. Because if you're not being able to satisfy them and the way they expected and you cannot take strong measures against them feeling bound to them for although one may be very strong in armed forces yet in entering a province has always need of the goodwill of the natives for these reasons louis. The twelfth king of france quickly occupied milan and ask quickly lost it and to turn out the first time it only needed ludovico zone forces. Because those who had opened the gates to him finding themselves deceived in the hopes of future benefit would not endure the ill-treatment of the new prince. It is very true that after acquiring rebellious provinces. A second time..

"Introductory note niccolo machiavelli one of the most brilliant and versatile intellects of the italian renaissance was born at florence may third fourteen sixty nine. He entered the public service as a young man. And between fifteen hundred and fifteen twelve. He was employed in a number of diplomatic missions to the other italian to france and to germany when the medici returned to power in and fifteen twelve machiavelli lost his positions and suffered imprisonment and torture on his release in the following year. He retired to the country and devoted himself to study. And the composition of his most famous work the prince other writings followed and in the last year of his life. We find him again and active life. This time as a soldier he died. June twenty-first fifteen twenty seven a more detailed account of machiavelli by lord. Macaulay will be found in the volume of english essays in the harvard classics. machiavelli's amy. The prince has been very variously interpreted. His motive was probably mainly patriotic but the exclusion of moral considerations in his treatment of politics lead even in his own century to his. Name's becoming a synonym for all that is diabolical in public and private policy. Whatever may be the relation of the methods expounded in the prince to his personal ideals. The book remains the most vivid and suggestive picture of political conditions in the italy of the renaissance. Machiavelli discourses on lives. Decades deals on a larger scale with many of the topics of the prince. His art of war elaborate his views on the military side and his history of florence. His life of custody. Oh connie and his comedy mandra gala ristic products of an accomplished man of letters. One time was diplomat and soldier at another historian. Poet and dramatist fuming represent so thoroughly the extraordinary versatility of that wonderful age of all machiavelli's writings says garnett. The prince is the most famous and deservedly for. It is the most characteristic. Few subjects of literary discussion have occasion more controversy than the purpose of this celebrated book some have beheld in manual for tyrants like the memoirs of tiberius so diligently perused by emission others have regarded it as a refined irony upon tyranny on the sarcastic plan of swift's directions to servants. If so humble analogy be permissible from various points of view it might alternately pass for either but it's purposes accurately conveyed by neither interpretation. Machiavelli was a sincere though to supple a republican and by no means desire the universal prevalence of tyranny throughout italy. His aim probably was to show how to build up a principality capable of expelling the foreigner and restoring the independence of ili for this intention could not be safely expressed and hence his work seems repulsive because the reason of state which he propounds as an apology for infringing the moral code appears not patriotic but purely selfish with all his faults and oversights nothing can deprive matter of the glory of having been the modern aristotle in politics the first or at least the first considerable writer who derived a practical philosophy from history and exalted statecraft into science..

"That the harsh construction of his doctrine which this sinister reputation implies was unknown to his own day. And that the researches of recent times have enabled us to interpret him more reasonably. It is due to these enquiries that the shape of an unholy neck romance. Sir, which so long haunted men's sufficient has begun to fade. Machiavelli was undoubtedly a man of great observation, Acuteness and industry. Noting with appreciative I whatever past before him. and. With his Supreme Literary Gift Turning it to account in his enforced retirement from affairs. He does not present himself, nor is he depicted by his contemporaries as a type of that rare combination? The successful statesman and author. For he appears to have been only moderately prosperous in his several embassies and political appointments. was misled by CATHARINA spores. Ignored by Louis, the? Twelfth. Over awed by Kizer Porsche. Several of his embassies were quite barren of results. His attempts to fortify Florence failed. And the soldiery that he raised astonished everybody by their cowardice. In the conduct of his own affairs, he was timid and time serving. He dared not appear by the side of Soda Rini to whom he owed so much for fear of compromising himself. His connection with the MEDICI was open to suspicion and Giuliano appears to have recognized his real forte when he sent him to write the history of Florence rather than employ him in the. State. And it is on the literary side of his character, and they're alone that we find it no weakness and no failure. Although the light of almost four centuries has been focused on the prince. It's problems are still debatable and interesting. Because, they are the eternal problems between the ruled and their rulers. Such, as they are, it's ethics are those of Machiavelli contemporaries. Yet they cannot be said to be out of date. So long as the governments of Europe rely on material rather than on moral forces. Its historical incidents and personages become interesting by reason of the uses, which Machiavelli makes them to illustrate his theories of government and conduct. Leaving out of consideration, those maximums of state, which still furnish some European and eastern statesmen with. Of. Action. The prince is bestrewn with. That can be proved at every turn. Men are still the Dukes of their simplicity and greed as they were in the days of Alexander, the sixth. The cloak of religion still conceals the vices which Machiavelli laid pair in the character, a Ferdinand of Aragon. Men will not look at things as they really are, but as they wish them to be and are ruined. In politics, there are no perfectly safe courses. Prudence, consists in choosing the least dangerous ones. Then to pass to a higher plane. Machiavelli reiterates that although crimes may win an empire, they do not win glory..

It was to Julius the second that Machiavelli was sent in fifteen o six. When the pontiff was commencing his Enterprise Against Bologna. which he brought to a successful issue as he did many of his other adventures owing chiefly his impetuous character. It is in reference to Pope Julius that Machiavelli moralizes on the resemblance between fortune and women, and conclude that it is the bold rather than the cautious man that will win and hold them both. It is impossible to follow here the varying fortunes of the Italian states which in fifteen o seven or controlled, by France, Spain and Germany with results that have lasted to our day. We are concerned with those events and with the three great actors in them. So far only as they impinge on the personality of Machiavelli. He had several meetings with Louis, the twelfth of France and his estimate of that monarchs character has already been alluded to. Machiavelli has painted Ferdinand of John as the man who accomplished great things under the cloak of religion. But who in reality had no mercy faith humanity or integrity. And who had he allowed himself to be influenced by such motives would have been ruined. The Emperor Maximilian was one of the most interesting men of the age. And his character has been drawn by many hands. But machiavelli who was an envoy at his court in fifteen o seven to fifteen o eight reveals the secret of his many failures when he describes him as a secretive man without force of character. Ignoring the human agencies necessary to carry his schemes into effect. and never insisting on the fulfilment of his wishes. The remaining years of Machiavelli official career more filled with offense arising out of the League of Cambrai made in fifteen o eight. Between the three. Great. European. And with the assistance of the Swiss drove the French out of Italy. Florence Sleigh, at the mercy of the Pope and had to submit to his terms. One of which was that the MEDICI should be restored. The return of the MEDICI to Florence on the first of September fifteen twelve. And the consequent to fall of the republic. From whose conduct and fate, he drew the Morel that it is far better to earn the confidence of the people then to rely on fortresses. This is very noticeable principle in Machiavelli and is urged by him in many ways as a matter of vital importance to princes. In fifteen hundred, he was sent to France to obtain terms from Louis, the twelfth for continuing the war against Pisa. This king, it was, who can his conduct of affairs in Italy? Committed, the five capital errors in statecraft summarized in the Prince? and was consequently driven out. He. Also, it was who made the dissolution of his marriage, a condition of support to Pope Alexander the sixth. Machiavelli public life was largely occupied with events arising out of the ambitions of Pope Alexander, the sixth, and his son Chaser Borja the Duke Valentino. And these characters fell a large space of the prince. Machiavelli never hesitates to cite the actions of the Duke for the benefit of usurpers who wished to keep the state's they had seized. He can indeed find no precepts to offer so good as the pattern of Chaser borjas conduct. insomuch, the Chancery is claimed by some critics as the hero of the Prince. Yet. In the prince, the Duke is in point of fact, cited as type of the man who rises on the fortune of others and falls with them. Who takes a free course that might be expected from a prudent man, but the course which will save him. Who was prepared for all eventualities, but the one which happens. And who when all his abilities failed to carry him through exclaims that it was not his fault. But an extraordinary and unforeseen fatality. On the death of pious, the third in the fifteen three. "Now, let's get to the reading. Tonight where relaxing with a classic of. Politics. The prince by Niccolo Machiavelli. Translated by W K Mary, it. Published by J M Denton, sons London in Nineteen Oh eight. Let's begin. Introduction. Niccolo Machiavelli was born at Florence on the third of May fourteen, sixty nine. He was the second son of Bernardo did Niccolo, Machiavelli. A lawyer of some repute. And, a Portola Mia. Distefano Nellie. His wife. Both parents were members of the old Florentine nobility. His life falls naturally into three periods, each of which singularly enough constitutes a distinct and important era in the history of Florence. His youth was concurrent with the greatness of Florence as an Italian power under the guidance of Lorenzo Domenici Il Magnifico. The downfall of the MEDICI in Florence occurred in fourteen, ninety, four in which year Machiavelli entered the public. Service. During his official career. Florence was free under the government of a republic which lasted until fifteen twelve when the MEDICI return to power and Machiavelli lost his office. The MEDICI again rolled Florence from fifteen twelve until fifteen, twenty seven when they were once more out. This was the period of Machiavelli literary activity and increasing influence. But he died within a few weeks of the expulsion of the MEDICI. On Twenty Second June fifteen twenty seven in his fifty eighth year without having regained office. Although there is little recorded of the youth of Machiavelli. The Florence of those days is so well known that early environment of this representative citizen may be easily imagined. Florence has been described as a city with two other currents of life one directed by the fervent Indus- dear Savonarola. The other by the splendor luffing Lorenzo. SAVONAROLA's influence upon the young Machiavelli. have been slight. For although at one time he wielded. Power over the fortunes of Florence. He only furnished Machiavelli with the subject of a jibe in the prince. where he is cited as an example of an unarmed prophet who came to a bad and. Whereas, the magnificence of the MEDICI in rule during the life of Lorenzo appeared to have impressed Machiavelli strongly for he frequently recurs to it in his writings and it is to Lorenzo's grandson that he dedicates the prince..

Zion leaves NBA bubble for 'urgent' family matter

"All right one to turn to this story from inside the bubble, and it's a big one the Pelicans announcing yesterday the Williamson left the NBA bubble yesterday morning. Because of under undisclosed urgent family medical matter now Williamson intends to return at some point here's this coach Alvin Gentry. Don't know anything right now from the standpoint of. Coming back and you know obviously us. We've discussed supportive. Amina's family and their privacy doing this time right now, you know. We played forty four games without him and. You know we have top stretching, and we also had a stretch for. We won twelve out of sixteen. Without Him, so obviously, he's a great player that we'll miss, but the one thing that we've always talked about even when we went through times is that. Next Man. Marc Spears joins US live from inside the bubble at Disneyworld mark. Seems a little unclear as to why he left. What are you hearing about that about why he left at this point? Look the PELICANS are keeping it really really close to the vest, and they've been like that all all season. Way Him, you know this is still a teenager very very protective of their future star, and it's a family matter so I certainly understand that, but when it comes to him coming back, Ryan is really complicated. Absence of seven days or less, he s a quarantine. Four days upon return to the bubble with negative tests needed each day. Longer than a week. He has quarantine for four days. If he has a negative test the final day seven days he has gone. Without a required COA testing he will quarantine for ten days, so the Pelicans will debut. On July thirtieth they're one of four teams that play in the first day to resumption. It's not a lot of time between now, and then they have their first criminals, and just a few days, so yeah. The PELICANS certainly have a lot to worry about in their hopes of trying to get back to the playoffs, Yeah and we certainly wish Zion Williamson, and is it well with this family matter I mean that's first and foremost here hoping they're okay, but I look at this as well and I say without him. What are their chances of moving far into the playoffs structure? Like Alvin said you know. They played forty four games without him. Brandon Ingram the all star. He played most of those games at power forward. Without Zion, but once I came back. He only missed one game, and they have a stretch for by the name of Niccolo Meli. Not Not too hot says Zion has not the game design has I think the average is like seven games seven points a game. He would likely replace Zayn at power forward with Ingram staying in the small force spot, and I. Think drew holiday, said it best. He said you know. As much as it hurts to say, we've done it before in terms of playing without Zayn.

Weird Growth Experiment: What Neil Learned Spending $162,301 on Clothes

"Welcome to another episode of Marketing School. I'm Eric Su and I'm Patel and today we're GonNa talk about a weird growth experiment which is really what Neil learn over one hundred sixty two thousand dollars on clothes so Neil. This is fun episode. Because you're GONNA do most of the heavy lifting so what exactly happened here because he actually wrote something about this a while back as a blog post so tell us what happened so years ago when I was less known house out there hustling much more. I need to go back to doing that. I decided to try to run an experiment. Where if I dress nicer would I be able to charge people more money and make more money so I decided to spend a ton of money on clothes? I probably spend too much and when I would go to business meetings. I'll make shows super nice. You know and see if it would help me. Close more deals in generate more income. Got IT and so. Tell us the process here. I mean the the one hundred sixty two thousand. Did you pick out the clothes? Like what did you do exactly? What kind of clothes were you wearing at in? Pick why she closed or anything like that. I picked me these suits briefcases nice shoes. Think of business attire. But extremely nice business attire things like dull Jacobina Tom for burberry Tana Kashmir little beyond stuff like that Yup. Did you pick up the stuff yourself? I had other people helped me pick out the clothes so what I quickly learned is mainly did this when I was in Las Vegas and I was living there and I lived literally right on the strips. Also close to a lot of the shopping. What I learned is if you spend enough they actually come to your house with racks of Clothes Anna Taylor you. They don't charge you extra for that. They just bring stuff you try it on you get fitted and then once it's done they bring it back to your house and by the way I mean some of that's you still have that look like whenever people see you. It's not like you're wearing suits all the time. It's your worrying. You have a casual look but it's nice clothes correct correct yes well technically now just like a bum. There's nothing wrong with being Bomba. I dress really poorly at this point. I thought you're still wearing nice. You just like a bomb. But you're still wearing nice stuff. Probably might t shirts four hundred dollars so my point is when you look at Neil. He dresses fairly casually. But you can tell. It's still nice stuff. I think that's the point. I'm trying to get people to visualize it a little bit. So maybe let's talk about the before and after results before maybe you weren't wearing as nice stuff and then you started wearing nice stuff like what exactly happened. Can you share any case studies? Yeah so when I go to in person meetings to try to close deals Mike. Closing ratio went up from twenty five percent to forty percent which was huge and innocence brought me over six hundred ninety two thousand dollars in revenue now. That doesn't mean prophecy. That doesn't necessarily mean it pays for the close. It just means I brought in extra revenue and keep them on pitching enterprise big corporations and I think why it worked really well was is because people like all right this guy successful portraying a bigger company and yet. Maybe he's worth the price that he's quoting. I also do believe that its regional base. You know places like Los Angeles Seattle New York Chicago. I think it matters a bit more places like San Francisco. I don't think it matters as much. Yup that's completely true and I mean I mean the typical look as you're wearing like Patagonia vast or something like that and then you're wearing all birds and you're good to go exactly and I also think it depends what phase you are in life because depending on what phase you are in life in business Helps as much in Class A fear. Reid Hoffman Co founder of link Denmark. I don't think it matters what you wear your hundred percent so I mean that's a four point. Three X return to six ninety two on the one sixty two so I guess you know looking at things from a personal experience here. I used to just have a backpack like a normal back. You know meal night. We have a late friend named Brandon who he had kind of a similar back as I do. We look like school kids but once you switched up his backpack to a nice Pat toomey backpack. That's T U M I. He said like everything changed. When you went to route people will compliment on his backpack and then he would get seen a little differently even though he dressed casually. I changed my backpack and I know how to me backpack to and I will say I get a lot of Nice comments about it and people do the first impression how people see you. You'll get one chance to make it right so you know. Even let's say you still want to continue to dress casually that's fine. Maybe you look at the other stuff. Maybe the briefcase right or maybe look at the backpack because you do typically get a couple of nice comments about like Neil the briefcase you have generally. It's always something people talk about right not anymore because I have a child and she plays with the zippers breaks. It and all that kind of stuff in the east you. Yeah makes sense so yeah guys. I don't think you necessarily need to spend one hundred sixty two thousand dollars on clothes. I think we're just saying Zara or any place has affordable clothing. Alex Niccolo unique goes good. I don't know where you go for female codes. Nic Business Attire. It's not necessarily the price it's more so the fit. Yep exactly I that's a really good point you don't necessarily is spent thousands of thousands of dollars if you get a good Taylor. That's probably a little more important on to make sure things look fit. They look a million bucks.

Did he did he go like audio man? Like, we call Jeff maller at the end kind of because this guy because it wasn't fixed right away, you could still here, but you could tell they didn't want to bother him. Again. You guys know what ASMAR's now ASMAR ASMAR's this thing that that the kids are into and it's where you turn up a Mike really loud, and you do things into this, Mike. So like, you're eating something or you're so there's a Super Bowl commercial for a beer that people are going to see. And it's weird. It's Lenny Kravitz his daughter. I can't think of her first name right now Zoe. Yes is sitting you how did you know that anyway? So she sitting with this. I believe it's Niccolo. Boy, you guys are really easy to impress. We will. Yeah. So she's sitting with this beer, and she's tapping it and whispering very close into the Mike. It's called ASMAR. And so all there's all these videos our videos out now, and they're using it as a that's. This sounds like this sounds like Jay Cutler is trying to get in on this audio. What does that Danny audio since autonomous sensory Meridian response? What is what's the line from one of Adam Sandler's movies where the guy the judge in the debate says we are all dumber for having to listen to that? I like, that's the way I feel right now. I've ever heard it no point, you're rambling incoherent response. You're you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you know, points and may God have mercy on your soul. Okay. Here's Cutler, then this is good stuff. This is about playing in Chicago. She asked him some and questions about playing in Chicago the media toughness the fan toughness, and there's what Cutler said the fans are great renew. If you go out in the streets and talked to the fans. They get it. Like, they stand. What's happening? Very smart. But let me the papers. And I think I hit a time like whenever and kind of newspapers for dying a little bit. And that was kind of taken over. Here's PIN, Fox News. Like all those stations were kind of doing their thing. And and people were just clicking on the, you know, no one's getting the paper. So I think you kinda hit that sweet spot where you know, they they they have to write, you know, whatever they can write to get things out there and get people to read it. Attention. Deserve some wasn't deserve. But that's kind of how it is. The fans themselves were actually not bad. You know, it was mostly the press. Yeah. I think that probably goes for most NFL cities. I mean, the fans like there in they understand. And I think a lot of them are probably they've watched football a bit longer than some of these in general anyway, so. They've ever feel for the game. So like when people would say, I remember readings people being like, he's a motionless like he doesn't care. Did you care? I mean, if I didn't care, I wouldn't have quit, right? Like, I wouldn't have put in the time and the effort it takes to to do it. What do you think people were interpreting like just facial expressions? I mean, I know that after ten eleven twelve like if we had a FOX game like there was basically came rolling dedicated to our sidelines. Our kind of following me and some of the other guys around like just to see how we interact. Got to be a little bit of a thing. But all I really cared about playing football and try to win games. There's jay. But isn't the host Kelly the one that's Chris best friend or something? Yeah. Okay. Exactly is the one who is wanted to date the Canadian or. Yes. So there you go. There's Cutler the I love that. He knows the reason he got the bad headlines because he was here at the time when papers we're dying. They needed clicks on the internet careful, Danny will come in here and get all over you. I love Jay cutting guy. Yeah. He gets Ryan square to spare. I can't spare chance right there. Here's more bear stuff. Someone called into the Stephen a Smith show a bears fan today. Jackie lava, Stephen they talk to me. I just wanted to get your cake on the idea the Super Bowl doesn't contain the two best teams in the NFL. What does that supposed to me? It's supposed to mean that the Chicago Bears are hands down best team, and you can. Give me a favor. Can you? Do me a favor. Shut the hell up. You lost? You scored fifteen points against the Philadelphia Eagles. You are in no position to sit up the call here and make that asinine statement. If you were the New Orleans Saints in your position was they got rob. That would have been a different argument even still been relevant. But you don't get to call up and say that the Chicago Bears who hasn't won a Super Bowl since nineteen eighty five with the best team in football. That's asinine. Hang up. The First Superstar Classical Musician.

"When FRANZ Liszt was twenty. He went to a concert by violinist Niccolo Pattani. The first superstar classical musician. Pannonia was as big as any rockstar today, and he put on a great show. He was pale and then dressed in black. He also memorized all his music which most performers didn't do then. And he came up with new very difficult effects on his instrument. List left pregnancies concert thinking. That's what I want to do. So he invented the solo piano recital with the piano facing sideways on the stage so that the audience could watch his hands and face.
