Daryl Morey on the Sports Analytics Revolution
"So me pawing at this sad window like a hidden aside daryl. I do want to explain the monster. You've created here because the mit sloan sports analytics conference is very well known inside our industry but it is far less stone outside of it. And you and your co founder. Jessica gelman got it going fifteen years ago. Basically in the spirit of moneyball and the spirit of what someone like bill. James did in exploiting data defined undervalued players and strategies and every year you bring together researchers and sacred magicians and wants but now you also get all of these powerbrokers to somehow agreed to be on panels. And i'm talking about owners and athletes and coaches and executives and world leaders like barack obama who was the keynote speaker. One year recently. So i'm just curious first off what sort of thing is stuck in your mind after you wrapped up the conference. Last week. I mean this year. "To be able to participate in a june minicamp. If there is one at this point that is the only mandatory portion of the offseason program so brady seemingly targeting that for a return to the field following his off season surgery fascinating as is his propensity for changing his haircut constantly. I've never seen a person have more completely disparate haircuts and a short period of time. Tom brady looks different every single time. You see him. Meanwhile the big question involving brady in the bucks is can. They defend their championship of course and that begins with our friends in las vegas. Caesar's sportsbook where they have set the win total for the upcoming season for tampa at eleven and a half which is the second highest in the league. Only kansas city is higher at twelve. A team led by tom. Brady is not gone under. Its preseason win total since the two thousand nine season so that is something to keep in mind on and so is the fact bear in mind. This is out of seventeen games. Not out of sixteen. That's gonna take a lot of getting used to. It's something i feel like. I'm gonna need to keep reminding you. But that's the total they're gonna play seventeen games eleven and a half more or less. What do you think dominique. Oh man you set me up right there with all those facts in evidence. But i think that they probably gonna go less honestly. That's not terrible. I think they probably went around eleven games they get the play the nfc east which is not all that challenging a division. But i do think that it's important to remember that they were not this.
Philadelphia Eagles sign linebacker Eric Wilson
"Eagles have made some news over the last couple of days that we should pass along. The birds have made a couple of free agent signings Over the last couple of days and will run those down for you here. You can tell. It's a totally new eagles regime by the way when they go out and prioritize adding a linebacker in free agency although the eljay fort fiasco tells us not to count our chickens before they're hatched. The eagles signed former vikings linebacker. Eric wilson to a one year deal this week worth up to three and a quarter million dollars. There is a connection to the eagles. Here with wilson a linebackers coach. Nick rally spent time as wilson's assistant position coach for the last three years in minnesota. So you know so much time when you're adding free agents who your trading for players. There's always some kind of coaching connection especially here with the eagles over the last few years and that continues to be the case. Now wilson turns just twenty years old in september so he's a younger player and became a full time starter for the vikings last year. How do you really solid season for them to record it. One hundred twenty two tackles eight passes defended three interceptions in one forced fumble clearly. He's the number one linebacker on the roster. Right now. he'll be atop the depth chart he'll be the guy starting at middle linebacker unless something totally unforeseen happens. And i'm still kind of trying to figure out how the eagles got their hands on them at this stage in the off season for it for as little as they did and considering the salary cap situation that they're in and we know that this is not a position. The eagles have prioritized a whole lot. In recent off seasons they did again. Like i mentioned a sign eljay for contract very early in the offseason. Two years ago when it seemed like their third free agent off the board and they gave him a lot of guaranteed money. And then jim schwartz never played them and they cut him in midseason in the baltimore. Ravens picked him up in a hurry and he played great for them in the second half of the two thousand nine hundred and season to the point where they signed him to a contract extension before the season was out and eljay ford would have been a very big help in the eagles on the eagles. Defense these last couple of years and so we're kind of. I don't think this is going to go that way Eric wilson has has has a little bit more to his resume than eljay ford did when the eagles picked him up
Does Aaron Rodgers Want to Be the Permanent Host of 'Jeopardy!'?
"Course, is the reigning M v P of the NFL, a Green Bay Packer and we should note a former winner of celebrity jeopardy. He's hosting this week and next. As the quiz show looks for a successor for the late Alex Trebek. Erin was great to keep prepared so intensely. That it was really a joy to watch. Mike Richards is the executive producer of Jeopardy. Fans will recall. He also guest hosted the program recently. And although they could be angling for the same job, Richard says there was no sense of competition potentially on the golf course There might be some competition. But you know my job is to make everyone who comes onto that set. As great as they can be, he says. You'll see Aaron Rodgers get better during his guest run. The quarterback already showed Grace under pressure when a contestant took the chance to poke fun at the Packers strategy in the NFC Championship game, Scott You come up the correct response who wanted to kick that field goal That is a great question should be should be correct. But unfortunately for this game today, that's incorrect. Well, the competition is intensifying because this week the actor Levar Burton of Star Trek and reading Rainbow. And roots, among other things, said he wants to host jeopardy to Mike Richards would not say whether burden is on the list, but did confirm they've talked
Rodgers gets surprise during 'Jeopardy!'
"Minded. Aaron rodgers retire is. He's still back now. He's still the part about good. That's right okay at the end of the year but nothing confirmed yet okay. So he was he's guest hosting jeopardy right now and last night was his first day as the gas and this was all previously taste of course but he was kinda hit by one of the contestants with his answer to a question during the final jeopardy round the contestant wrote his answer which had nothing to do with the question for the record. He just didn't know the correct answer so this is what he wrote scripts to come up the correct response. Who wanted to kick that field goal. That is a great question. You should be correct but unfortunately for this this game in reference to happen during the nfc championship game back january in the fourth quarter when it looked like the packers were going to successfully make the comeback the tampa bay buccaneers. Beat the packers. Losing thirty one twenty sexy because of that field goal. They trusted their quarterback. Aaron rodgers to take it in. They probably would've won.

Adopting New Technology in Rehab with Ian Opal from Restore Skills
"Here's ian opel from restore skills having a conversation about how we we drive clinicians to adopt new technologies in. Welcome to show are you. I'm fantastic groppy at. Yeah thanks for being part of what we're doing here so for those who don't know you give us a little background about yourself and what brings you to what you're doing today which is working in tech well. Most importantly my background is an occupational therapist. Have been for twenty five years Clinically my passion has always been dementia capable care so twenty years. I've been certified as a dementia capable therapist and it taught me early on the importance of having a person centered approach. And so i. I had to learn when i was working with individuals with dementia. That it's important that you learn their interests habits tendencies preferences work history family history to gain their trust in agreement before even being able to do anything clinically. Why am i giving you that. That intro is is. I had no idea would become so well. Rooted in person centered care. And over the years i had a career both in operations Clinical and nfc in a real drop off in a person. Even though we talk more about. I've seen a real real drop off clinically of therapists. Today engaging their patients offer the best possible experience to get the best possible outcome so about a year ago i stepped away from the operation side and invested in a digital health field and have been working on developing a product called restore skills. Where today. I'm i'm serving the chief clinical officer for this new technology
NFL owners approve 17-game regular season, 3 preseason games
"A 17 game to the NFL schedule is Official. The 40 Niners will play at the Bangles. The FC will get the extra home game this year. And next year, the NSC and etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. Not that it was unforeseen. But what do you think, anyway? We kind of knew it was the owners vote. I assume it was 32. Nothing unless Mike Brown abstained. I don't know how that guy ever had any Children. Maybe it was 31 old and one. I don't know. But he held Davis as well. That's why I only had one child. He abstained all the league votes. So we knew it was going to be the Bangles. So the 40 Niners this year will play the NFC North. So the Packers and Vikings air coming to Levi's in the 40 Niners are going to Chicago and Detroit. Eagles because of the common record will be the other. NFC team as well. That will be on the away schedule and they're planning a F C South, which means a trip to actually land is coming to us. Indianapolis's coming To us. And then on what else is happening there? Uh, Houston is coming to us as well. Um and then on the road, it's Tennessee and Jacksonville. And the 17th game is gonna be pretty kidney. Obviously, the three within your own division home in a way, like every year. We knew it was gonna be the Bangles and the way it works this year, they're just lining up. Conferences. So the A F C East is playing the NFC East E A. F. C North is playing the NFC West, and that's the 40 Niners and Bangles. They have C south, playing the NFC South E A. S E West is playing the NFC North. And I'm gonna go back and forth on which conference gets the extra home game, and this year it'll be the FC.

Where's the value in NFTs
"You first saw the acronym ft show up in your tweets you got as far as not at four. And then you realize you're quickly going down the wrong path and trying to decipher it. Nfc stanford non fungible tokens now from there. If you're like me you thought it had to do with mushrooms. Maybe mario brothers. I don't know so then you read a paragraph of an article got bored or confused and moved on with the knowledge that all of your assumptions were wrong. But then you didn't actually replace it with any real knowledge okay. And so that was fine until you started seeing f. T. everywhere and you realize that maybe you should learn what it means and also you have a podcast taping coming up so here we are. And it's not that ludicrous bro. Stay with me all right. Mitchell mitchell clarke wrote a delightful article on the verge explaining t so i'm largely relying on that also wired new york times and a few other places. Let's go all right. Non fungible tokens are essentially a way that you can claim ownership of a digital thing. So think music art tweets yes. These are all reproducible. But so is a postcard of the mona lisa. So non fungible tokens exists on a blockchain at this point. Mostly a theory but others are getting on board and there are online marketplaces like open sea bull and fifty gateway where you can buy and sell the official ownership of the digital thing again. We're talking music video. Art animated gifts for artists provides a new way to sell your work and you can also set it up. So that you get a little kickback. Every time the nfc changes hands with a new owner. Lots nice so right now. You're like bro. Why would someone pay millions of dollars for an animated gif when you can just download it for free again. Why would someone bhai a monet painting for millions when you can get it on a mug from the gift shop for fifteen dollars so it all comes down to the basic tautology that some things have value just because someone decides it has value now for some people the value might be bragging rights to that end. You get to buy an nf t fred digital drawing of a cat because you are looking for a new way to show people. You are wealthy for others. Value might be about your phantom or support of an artist or musician. Kings of leon grimes dead mouse and many others have released. And fte's for music and art and for others. The value might be purely speculative. You're buying the nf t for digital drawing up a cat because you think it will rise in value as many other people agree. They want that authentic digital drawing a cat. And you're like seriously digital yes. Ten years ago. A guy named chris torres created the animated. Meam niane cat. You know it as the flying cat with a pop tart for a body and it's leaving a rainbow trail behind as soon as you google. It you're going to be like. Oh cat i totally know what you're talking about. So in february torres created an nf t version and put it up for auction and it sold for nearly six hundred thousand dollars following a last minute bidding frenzy other f- tease out there. William shatner is dental x ray digital baseball cards photos of lindsay lohan. And the first tweet. By jack dorsey just sold for two point. Nine million. don't feel too bad because the proceeds argos support a charity. So there's that and if t. Are definitely booming right now with probably more speculators than collectors and fans driving up prices but experts looking beyond the boom. See a great opportunity for a new way to guarantee authenticity. So for example nike already has a patent to create. Nfc's attached to shoes to guarantee their authenticity. Called crypto. kicks so when you consider that. A pair of air jordan twelve flu games are worth more than one hundred thousand dollars. Yeah i think. I want an fte with that purchase. Please and maybe you're still skeptical like a bunch of people in the comments of the articles. I read but seriously. How is this all that new and different. It's not like people buy sneakers art or baseball cards for the value of the materials themselves. They buy them for the aesthetics. The design the rarity as the new york times quoted. Marc andreessen. ben. Horowitz a two hundred dollar pair of sneakers is like five dollars in plastic. You're buying a feeling and right now the feeling that. Fte's is similar to one a stamp collector or baseball card collector or art collector or fashion. Or even a speculator might feel. It's that feeling that you are special because you own something someone else wants.
Did Washington Do Enough to Push Dallas in the NFC?
"Did washington football teams teamers and the giants do enough to push dallas in the nfc. So i left philly out. I don't yeah. I just don't i am found anyone who really thinks they're going to be competitive. I mean let's wait and see got jalen whatever. But that's a team that they're not really fun to talk about. Because their free agency considered like stripping you know but i mean they did sign at harris for like nothing which is probably better sightings but what you have in jalen also you serianni. Yes hundred percent but washington in york both very active and did interesting. Things i think are worth discussing because dallas after the dak prescott deal was finally done. They've kind of made a few moves around the margins adding kia neil. Getting tied as kind of swing. Tackle still have question marks at adra sure and coroner but washington like i think they might have had my favorite free agency or at least the one that i'm most excited to see. I don't know payoff on the field. So just to recap. They signed the aforementioned ryan fitzpatrick one year. Ten million dollars. They tag branch eff. Who's there Pro bowler guard. They signed william jackson from the bengals. Cornerback three years. Forty two million dollars and then added panthers wide receiver. Curtis samuel for three years thirty four point five million dollars so just starting like let's start here. Do you agree with me like do you. Do you like what they did. And do you think it makes them an actual competitor in the division. A really like what. Washington did You know. I think among the guys among the quarterback that they could get because not only were they never in it for russell wilson or or wherever really going to be competitive for shawn watson You had to start looking okay. We'll what's realistic. And it's the ryan fitzpatrick coming off his best his career. It's an andy dalton and whereas that really gonna lead you I think that there was a lot of interest in marcus. Mariota he still is not able to sign with another team because the raiders are still holding him hostage But so. I like the quarterback. Move because you're essentially saying let's build up the team the and let's have the strongest team possible around the quarterback position where we don't sell out just because we have to for that position free agency. Maybe they make a move at the draft for a guy that they have their eye on. Or maybe they just say let's. Let's keep the boat floating this year and let's make our move Next free agency. So i thought that they probably overpaid by million or two on curtis samuel. But they wanted him And and ron rivera really likes them. Obviously william jackson an incredible deal You look around and you need another pass rusher and they can they can probably keep ryan kerrigan as a third down specialist if he comes down off his number end so you know he's he's still doing that. He's gonna get paid a whole lot of money. I'm not sure that that money is really out there especially at this point in free agency so they didn't want to mortgage their future for for quarterback right. Now they wanted to keep the boat afloat. I that and so. I like what they have done. Specially on evens. Then when you consider the the sort of offense and the pre-snap that they can have with all those offensive playmakers. Now that curtis annuals there with terry corn. I really like with done.
A JPEG Sells for $70 Million, Creating a New Era of Digital Art Auctions
"From wondering. I'm david brown in this business. Wars daily on this tuesday march twenty third. If you're an art collector with a spare seventy million lying around a rembrandt says on may be out of your reach. But you just might be able to score yourself. A lesser van gogh picasso or like someone last week. You own your own people digital montage. Oh you've never heard of people that's okay. He's not one of those guys. They teach art history class. Which makes it all the more remarkable one of his electronic art pieces just sold at auction at christie's for nearly seventy million dollars even though it only exists in pixels is the third highest price ever commanded by a living artist. According to the new york times people is a digital artist from south carolina. Whose given name. Is mike thirteen years. He's created a drawing every day. He started with pen and paper but now creates art. Digitally the record breaking piece titled everyday's the five thousand days is a composite of the first five thousand days of that project. This was also the first time christie's sold a piece of digital only artwork. It was purchased with the cryptocurrency ether. Another first for christie's something tells me you won't be the last either. So you're probably wondering why in the world someone would pay seventy million dollars for a pack a reproducible. Virtual file right. Something you can't touch or even hang on your wall. yeah. I know. That's what i was wondering. Turns out every day is is in just another pretty j. peg. It's what's called a non fungible token or nfc and if you're thinking is so tell me why that matters. Well you're going to need to stick with me for a moment. On this one in tease us blockchain technology for authentication. Now this blockchain is the same sort of thing that you find in bitcoin right. It captures information and shares it with a network of computers and once shared. There's a digital ledger. That records the data across thousands of computers. Making it impossible to manipulate or so goes the theory. So when you buy an nf it's quote minted to you. Meaning an ownership record is created across thousands of computers around the world. You own the original one of a kind file. I know it may seem complicated on the surface but it really is pretty straightforward essentially techie. Way of making a digital file one of a kind like a physical object even if others tried to make a copy. It's taking a photo of a famous painting. It's not worth what the original is worth. Entities allow users to own bits of video songs or images. Their popularity actually began years ago with a game. Called crypto kitties where people could buy in trade animated cats after attracting top venture. Capital firm says investors some crypto. Kitty sold well into the six figures. Lately they've turned into a blazing hot sector in art and collectibles. Sports stars like lebron. James and rob gronkowski have even gotten in on the action selling. Nfc video clips. In digital trading cards people has been at the forefront of this craze in february a short video clip he created sold for nearly seven million dollars in one weekend in december he made more than three million dollars selling his t's bad for a guy who calls some of his own work crap according to the times not to be outdone. Sotheby's has gotten in on the act last
A brief guide to NFTs
"May have heard news recently about the auction house christie's announcing that an artist by the name of people sold a piece of artwork for more than sixty nine million dollars big price tag. The hurt the third highest price for living artists. Here's the thing though. This piece of artwork isn't actually a physical work of art that you would hang in your home it's all digital it's only digital. The work was sold through what is called an nfc. it is growing technology. That is being used a lot recently. You've probably heard the term. Nf teased quite a bit in the news recently. Some examples of this of the nba has a new collectible service called nba. Top shot where you basically are collecting highlights from nba games. So for example you might see a dunk. That lebron james makes in a game you can go to this site and you can bid on that highlight and quote owned the highlight and that is how the service works We've also seen some other people really get involved in it as well Kansas city chiefs quarterback pat mahomes launched his own digital art gallery using these tesla ceo elon. Musk recently sold a tweet of his as an nfc which seems absolutely bizarre but it gets to the big question for some of the listeners out there potentially what isn't nfc. We're going to try to break it down a little bit here. We have a lot more of this available on tech dot usa. Today dot com. So we're gonna try to give you a cliffs note version of this but to explain it simply as simply as you can for something as complicated as this. Nfc stands for non fungible token so the way it works is if you're looking at something that's fungible. It is something that's easily interchangeable. Think about money for example if we each have a twenty dollar bill we can exchange twenty dollar bills and the values the same and it really doesn't make a difference with an nfc or a non fungible token each of them are unique. Each of them are different. So i might have an nf t and you might have in an f. T. we can't trade them value for value for each other because the values of different because they're unique they're different in a variety of ways. So that's what makes them non fungible so basically what it is is because it's digital. It's not a physical thing you have. It is basically a piece of data that that you own something. So in the case of the bidder at christie's auction he owns a piece of artwork in the case of someone who saw a really cool james harden layup or pass. They owned that clip online on nba. Top shot And we've seen some other weird applications for this technology to But the way it works is it's all done using blockchain technology now for the listeners that are saying to themselves. okay wait blockchain. i don't know what you're talking about here. so blockchain works like this. It is basically. It's kind of like a cloud storage database and what it does is it tracks transactions of items or assets. Let's take something like bitcoin. For example which is a currency that. I'm sure you've heard of quite a bit Something that a lot of people used to buy things online. So you have. Bitcoin and bitcoin is built on blockchain. So what happens is when you have this blockchain technology it is tracking every time someone is using. Bitcoin keeps track of wind. Bitcoin is transferred from one person to the other for a purchase. And that's essentially what it's built on so if you look at all. The history of bitcoin has an open blockchain. It's essentially an open database where you can review the history of all the transactions that have been done through blockchain. Now you don't see people's names or ideas or anything like that but it has a regular tracking of where this bitcoin is going and so that's kind of entities are instead of a bitcoin. It's this and f. T. and it's the same principle where it using this blockchain technology it's tracking every time this nfc's ownership is transferred. And you have a ledger and accounting of every which way this has been sold or resold and so on and so forth. You know you obviously can do this with bitcoin and economically. Do this with stuff like a tweet or an artwork or in the case of a article. New york post. Someone did it with the sound of their own farts. Which again if someone's willing to buy that sure that's great but there you go. That's that's how far we've gotten with all this experts. I've talked to have said that. One of the big benefits to this is the security Because these blockchain's arc run by one central company or one central administrator there on peer to peer networks which means they're spread out across lots of computers. So there's really no one place these are stored and so because they're spread out. It's much harder for someone to say. Go in an altar records that are recorded on a blockchain. So that's one of the big things and there's a lot of talk to from experts that this might be the wave of the future one expert. I talked to recently had said that you know one possibility. Is there used to track land titles and deeds so for example instead of dealing with those mountains of paperwork that you have to deal with. When you're buying a house or selling a house or things like that you would do it all using this blockchain technology and it would be done on the computer. And it'd be much simpler wireless paper while signatures and that. That is a very fascinating us. Obviously we're very far away from a lot of this stuff. All the stuff right now feels very strange in new. And there's really a lot of hype around it. So that's why we're seeing weird stuff like people selling their own individual tweet as an nf t- It makes everything on the internet. Feel like it's a commodity Whether that lasts again. It's too early to say. I think you know. Obviously there's a lot of hype around this and it's definitely worth watching because you know i if this all you know goes as it seems like experts have suggested i mean this could really changed the way we do things in terms of buying and selling and dealing with all those Types of this on the internet So we'll see where all this technology

"We're gonna be talking about google contact center. And i'm not just saying this because you're here on an is honest truth. I've been hoping one in this composition for a long time because our history. If you go back far enough is rooted in alexa. Google assistant and the voices and spirits. And we've been working in this all contact center environment and customer services for a while and then we see. Google released this kind of suite of tools. The seems to have in some parts from history with with google assistant and all this kind of stuff in very similar technologies. and we've been been exploring it for awhile and excited to see where it goes and what you're up to so thank you much for joining us citing citing. Yeah there's a lot of history there with assistant and yeah we can talk about. It's it's an interesting story but it. What's what's interesting is that it's really exhilarating in the last two years. It's been pretty pretty impressive. What we've been able to deliver and really happy to release a led technology now until it's all coming together and we're seeing great results so happy to cheryl that nice. What's what's what's who is it. That says underwent a plan comes together is bigger is gonna plan comes together nicely. Well well on any join those. So you the head of compositional nine contact center at google cloud jonah. Tell the people tune in a little bit about what the rule is what you do on google cloud and how that relates to i own the product the product suite basically. So whatever touches conversational. I for google cloud which is now set of a set of product so some underlying technologies like the speech to text. Api or text to speech api. Some of the amelia technologies that we have but on top of that really. What's interesting. is the various products. No dalek show. For cell surrey's channel bots voice and chat the agent assists to help human agent do their job better and getting sites. And what's going on in real time as they were talking to customers and the latest one is insights which is coming verviers soon which is about understanding all your contact center and everything that's happening they are so it's kind of a product suite under the umbrella. Ci and yes. I own that. I have a team of product. Managers that Do a job at delivering on those products from helping drive a change in the market with this nice so i was just trying to put the lincoln in lincoln. So you mentioned the Some of it has a history with google assistant. Let's unpack that a little bit. So where i come from. And what relationship. If any have with google assistant technologies it started about four years ago. I think some somewhere around that where we did assistant actually did an acquisition of a company. Api and the. I was A tool to help people build better. Google assistant interactions turned out. That in google cod. We were really interested with this technology and the cloud. Google customers actually started using piano the i to build bots for arna a prize and it became dialogue so and so we started planning a little bit working toward more entreprise use cases with alec flow as as assistant was working on their own on their own path and were sharing a lot of the nfl. You underlying the technology but as time passed we so much more traction in the enterprise and had to separate ourselves a little bit in terms of how you manage the the system itself and elliot's fairly common but the system you know the the designer the interaction the web hoax infrastructure the security level privacy that we could provide with allah flu can a diverse and about i would say about two years ago. We started embarking on a new journey toward larger on it so we had their early over. I think we have about one point. Five million developers now in dallas so signed up but we saw that big move award. Large large companies like verizon and likes that wanted to have a lot more flexibility and being able to handle more complex. Use cases with their varietal agents Migrated toward what we just launch in. General is but at the same time we expanded toward agent assists and insights we added to the portfolio so the history starts at a piano. The i four years ago. But i think they're somewhat of a split about two years ago to address the large enterprise cases those use cases and so for those who you mentioned. It's this this dialogue floor the cx was created. There is agent assist olympics and insights. Those are the those are the the full men compo- insects out yet but inside his common. That's right isn't it. Yeah so. It's a early preview right now. It's coming on in in In preview the states kind of bit is a new term. Like we don't have alpha beta anymore. We have previews and j preview previews coming out. I think in the next month and now it takes care is incites is no analysis product per se. It is it is inside. So floyd assists on sites had the three main main products. And i'm accents. Okay then so. Donald flows has been used a lot for goodness actions as well as chump dot says wella's contact center etc for those up in the day a more than likely have experienced dialogue floor in some shape or form. So what is it. The drove the need for dialogue floor. Cx whetted cx come from. Sussex is more graphical. It's it's slightly different to. Es what's the history. Yeah that's actually very important. So essentially asks is basically dial for the daleks with everybody knows that the prior version she will that was meant to build simpler interactions. So one or two turns. Maybe three turns if you if you really need to go a little deeper but some people have called it like slot failing type of bots little bit of that no s something getting tencent and entities and do something where the work or cloud function fairly simple. But when you talk about larger apprise they need to handle much more complex use cases longer. You know five. Ten twelve fifteen turns in conversation or you know things that lasts for two or three minutes on the voice side and being able to handle that without floor essential was very difficult. Because linking intense between them. The nfc between intense was a little difficult to do and the visual builder was a big improvement where you can see a complete flow manage the transition in dragon drop. Ui all without code was really important to a lot of customers but it really doesn't stop there Dallas came from a need for better predictability in spending for example so the pricing model is different. Secession based rather than a turn or fifteen second incriminate. It has a skill ability Capabilities that are much higher so delicacy. Excellent handled forty thousand intent in a single implementation issue. Compare that doug. Flu central two thousand ten. You can have mega agent on it. Which allows you to go to twenty but cx with forty thousand and ten and we have customers that are in the many many thousands fifteen seventeen thousand intents so it does happen that you need this kind of skill. It also has a lot more features toward ivr's when you used alpha essentials. It's unlikely you're going to replace your vr and hence your vr with. It's more about knowing if you think about assistant. Its interaction with smart device.
Predictions vs Reality NFC West, Seattle Seahawks
"I predicted the Seattle Seahawks to go 11:00 and 5 last year. I pretty much nailed it. They went 12 and for the only game I missed was the San Francisco 49ers. I could not predict that the $59 would have a bunch of injuries. I thought that the Seattle Seahawks and the 49ers would split their series each win one game against each other instead Seattle beat the 49ers in both games. So that's literally the one game it's kind of crazy. I was horribly wrong about the Cardinals the Rams the 49ers. I nailed Seattle. My prediction was right there for I'm actually not that interested in Seattle. Like I like I said, I'm actually way more fascinated when I get stuff horribly wrong. I said before the year that Seattle relies too heavily on Russell Wilson, they're starting quarterback 2000sq them from their problems and kind of ended up being true now, they brought in the receiver Phillip Dorsett. They brought in Phillip Dorsett from New England. I was curious to Phillip Dorsett kind of a breakout year and Go from a guy who was infuriating to watch a New England to maybe having a great season playing with Russell Wilson. Unfortunately Phillip Dorsett did not play a single game the poor guy hurt his foot in training camp and by November Phillip told I was getting surgery to remove bone spurs from his foot. I encourage you look up a bone spur does not look like a comfortable thing but credits yet. I Seattle try to get Russell Wilson some Playmakers. I thought we were set to not work out. Josh. Gordon did not work out. They brought in. You know Speedy Josh Gordon. He had a setback in recovery. Seattle had to end up cutting him so long so brought in Greg Olsen. They they got a veteran tight end Greg Olsen and I look I got a lot of respect for Greg Olsen. He's awesome. Last year Greg Olsen. However was underwhelming had 24 catches for 239 yards one touchdown played an only 11 games missed a couple of games with an injury. So in the end Greg Olsen retired, so Phillip Dorsett, Josh Gordon, Greg Olsen, like the move Seattle made to try to support Russell Wilson just didn't work out and that's not bad. It just it didn't it didn't work. Unfortunately right now again, I love Greg Olsen. He's amazing. I cannot wait to hear the guy in the broadcast booth next year. But now the one thing that came out very very well for Seattle on offense was DK Metcalf. G came back up Seattle second-year receiver. Oh my gosh. This guy is a monster. He had 83 catches for 1303 yards 10 touchdowns. I love to see that DK Metcalf is a receiver that is just at the beginning of his eventual domination over the NFL. He already does dominate in some games. So he keeps getting better and better and he keep getting better and better the more we watch him. Now as I look back on Seattle season, one of the things that kind of sticks out to me that's very weird still is I just did not love their 2020 first-round picks Seattle is kind of known for having weird. First round draft picks. They drafted linebacker Jordan Brooks 27th overall. And he was her early on so Jordan books now, I will say I'm not going to trash on Jordan books by the end of the year. He made some plays with doing some good stuff like Jordan Brooks. Very good football player solid right desert looks like a first-round pick the end of the year. But here's what's weird to me is that when the Seattle Seahawks went to a nickel package meaning that you bring in an extra corner or defensive back onto the field to basically stop the past when they win to track a package which is happening more and more in the NFL because teams are throwing more and more than ever before. In a nickel package. Jordan Brooks is on the sidelines not playing maybe part of that is because they were he's a rookie. They're trying to light workload. I don't know but it's kind of weird to draft a first-round pick and then not have the guy on the field. All the time makes me wonder despite Jordan Brooks being a very solid football game. Could they not have got drafted somebody 27th overall last year that could have contributed even more to their team. Just a question. I'm asking cuz I looked at it. I still book how it's bit of an odd pick life. Even though Jordan Brooks can play it's like whack could they not have done something better or maybe more interesting than Jordan Brooks just me asking a question here. You can answer for yourself. I'm just for me. I'm like man, you spend a first-round pick on a guy who's not on the field all the time,

"Sound. You hear the sound of people's heads absolutely exploding a few times in previous episodes. I've mentioned the people auction going. On at christie's this is the first time the famous auction house has auctioned off a completely digital good. They had previously included an f. T. versions of some physical items that were up for auction but this was the first time it was just an nf tea while the final bids are in and the price paid for people's the first five thousand days was sixty nine million three hundred and forty six thousand two hundred fifty dollars first of all the folks over on wall street. Bets are in utter disbelief that the price wasn't sixty nine million. Four hundred twenty thousand and sixty nine dollars. Second of all crypto. Twitter is absolutely frigging losing their minds. This is a crescendo. Perhaps the first of many but definitely the first of the nfc mennea sweeping the world. I've given the background before but in short. Nfc's are non fungible tokens non fungible means that rather than every token being like every other token in other words each. Bitcoin is like each other bitcoin. They're mutually interchangeable. Each other is equivalent to each other. Tether these are cryptographic. Unique tokens that uniqueness lens them well to the actual owning quote unquote of the original quote unquote of creative work. Like a piece of art and of have been a part of the crypto space. For years i mean remember crypto kitties but over the last few months and especially the last few weeks they have had a major breakout. There have been two really important categories within that the first is actually in the sports collectible slash trading cards space last year. The team that brought you crypto katie's launched nba top shots in conjunction with the nba. These are effectively a new type of trading card featuring efficiently. Licensed video highlights. Now i was watching this and things started reasonably but they have really picked up over the last couple months last month. Nba top shot process. More than two hundred fifty million dollars in sales from one hundred thousand buyers more than that admitted a whole new group of wales a wall street journal article today was called the whales of nba. Top shot made a fortune buying lebron highlights. They were the early to the hottest. Nf market and their collections are now worth millions of dollars. They take a look at people. Like michael levy a thirty one year old financial analyst. Who spent one hundred seventy five thousand dollars over six months whose collection is now worth twenty million plus or andy chore. Leeann a twenty seven year. Old dev who back in his younger days traded pokemon bought sneakers but then more recently bought. Thirty eight hundred. Nba top shot moments. That are now worth a collective fifteen million. I think it's really important to point this side of the market out because in many ways it is a completely different. Demographic than the crypto punks art type people and frankly the people interested in people at least on an artistic level. But i also think it's worth noting that collectibles in general are going crazy. Golden auctions is a huge trading house for cards memorabilia. It sarah on march seventh. Golden tweeted prior to two thousand twenty. There only ten cards that ever sold for one million dollars plus in history last night we sold five cards for a million dollars. Plus clearly there is something going on in these sports card collectible market as well and on a smaller level i track a small index of magic the gathering card prices just to keep track of what older cars in that space are doing and it's up four hundred and fourteen percent in the last year. This is going to be relevant for discussion in a little bit about what's really underlying what's happening in an f. Teas but for now. Let's get back to the art. There has been a ton of focus. Here i people were gobsmacked by the price of crypto punks which are selling for thousand sometimes even tens of thousands hash masks or more of the same but all in all these things felt pretty well contained within the crypto space they were insider games insider speculation and insider collectors over the last few weeks that shifted we saw people sell on nifty gateway for more than six million. We had musicians jumping in just in blau who performs as three lau sold a set of thirty three. Nfc's for over eleven million dollars. Grimes may just under six million dollars. Kings of leon released an album last week with full. Ft's we've seen more sports stars jump in with gronk releasing a bunch of nf teas and then we've had brand seemingly determined to ruin the party for everyone like taco bell who released a set of tease last week as well. Of course alongside the hype. The backlash has increased as well. I mentioned on yesterday's show that there is a huge group. Were now fighting on environmental grounds. Just to give you a sample of some of those tweets per the biggest thing. The nfc sh tells us that we have an extremely short amount of time to destroy the capitalist system before it scorches all live from the earth in of a three percent rate of return. Here's another one the. Nfc thing has drawn a line in the sand between the artists who are annoying for evil minting enough tease and artists who are annoying for good cyber bullying people minting. Nfc's until dimensions mentions are so exhausting. They stop like we're all annoying but it's how we use our powers finally. Let's do one more tweeting things here and there but my stance on teases final. It's horrible for the environment and a very critical time in the climate crisis. Therefore if you participate in it. I will judge you freely in gladly and no longer support you so i tweeted this out yesterday and got a huge number of responses of people who have seen similar things and keep in mind. These aren't like random accounts or at least these tweets are getting hundreds of likes responses. And re tweet so. It seems clear that there is this counter lash happening even as we speak all in all the point. Is that even before today. Things in this space. We're getting pretty heated. But then the people auction closed

"They they couldn't stop the run. Dallas defense has been better. Yeah i mean when you when you say better. They're not embarrassing. No the their best defense can be their offense. They should be able to move the ball and score points. Look their last three outing. Since the washington game they played philadelphian that sunday night game where they were much more competitive with j. M. you at quarterback it was a close game but that may be a reflection of how bad phileas then they surprised everybody and nearly beat pittsburgh and i told you last week that there's a vegas tell about the cowboys that the vegas banks get. Dallas is better than everybody else does. And that's one of the reasons. I had them in the smell test against minnesota which i'm now six in and games involving the vikings Either against them or for them And now there are three point favorite on thanksgiving day. Two weeks ago we would have said they would have been three point against washington at least now. There are going to pick him yet. Now there are three point favorite in the game But we'll see one more question before we take a quick break. And then i just get your quick thoughts Previewing the dallas game right now. And i still don't see the odds. I've been looking for them all morning. Long i'm not sure why my primary sites have not The nfc east odds. I'm looking again just to see if maybe they're out. Now they're still not. I will try. You know what I'm gonna try another site row quickly to see if they've got any futures here I think my point that. I'm driving at is i think right now. The odds are going to almost be equal across the board for every nfc steam to win the division. I think maybe the cowboys might pee back in a position where they're a slight favourite philidelphia's gonna drop significantly after sunday they stink in what's going on with carson wentz who the hell knows what's going on with carson wentz But let me see if i get some division odds here maybe i do. Have cindy updated. Division odds galaxies the pick for everybody to win the division back thinking part that has to do with the records. Or excuse me with the current schedule. We're gonna play phillies. Gonna play green bay new orleans arizona in the next three game. Dallas has the easiest schedule. The giants have the second easiest schedule. Skins have the thirties their second. Hardest and eagles have the toughest the rest of the way I cannot find it. it's weird. I mean mybookie doesn't have it. They don't have they have an update their futures yet on Gives me gives me a moment actually to just mention my book dot. Ag sign up with my promo code. Kevin dc please and they will match your deposit all the way up to half of the amounts of deposit five hundred. They'll give you an extra two fifty a play with. They've got so many prop bets. I love their site for all of their prop bets But right now they don't have the division odds up either for whatever reason none of They're struggling all of the vegas is struggling right now with the With the division odds. I've seen the updated. Nfc champion note that they're not even up here the reason why you gotta struggle with the division on because how are you. Make the season if something comes up in the next two weeks. And what would you usually my. But i look at this every week usually by monday night early tuesday morning after the monday night game. Excuse me early.

"But i don't think of him as a starting quarterback yet in the league. What is interesting to me is how this played out relative to last year when brees got hurt last you. They immediately put in bridgewater who went five zero and he'll was on that team okay this year if they put hill in there. I don't know how you can look at that frank. Anything other than a lack of confidence in jameis winston l how you read it any different. Yeah that's what i was thinking. You know we don't know what's going on in practice this week. So maybe sean payton is thinking you know what he's good for a while. This is the opportunity. That's the thing. And i also think to your point sean. Payton has a lot of confidence. And he's a great offensive coach. Maybe he's thinking is we've been waiting for this. We've been waiting for this moment for a while. This is going to be tastes. Milstein see i think of tastes and hill is a guy who runs it in or catches a pass and then runs in a pass from drew. Brees i don't quite in this way. I don't what we'll see we'll take the big nba. Yesterday wasn't the draft that came and went without a ripple. The big news was at gordon. Hayward would opt out of a thirty four million dollar guarantee for this coming season with the celtics haywood would leave brad stevens. Who was his college coach and leave boston where he seemed to meet anywhere. Whether it'd be a good fit. Frank how big losses for the celtics. And where do you think. Gordon hayward will end up. It's going to be a big loss as you know tony. There's no chance that you walk away from thirty four million dollars unless you know that you have a deal out there is there. He must show that he can get four years between eighty and one hundred million over four years. The atlanta hawks are a team to look at the new york knicks or a team to look at any from the state of indiana. So the pacers are a team. That's also interested what the celtics want. They knew that gordon hayward wasn't in their plans anymore. He knew that as well. They're hoping to do some kind of sign and trade to bring a player back. Let's think about it two years ago. Kyrie irving left last year. It was al horford. Those player departures really hurt the team. But if gordon hayward to leave and they don't get anything back. I'm not so they're gonna make it back to the conference finals. See you know a lot more about the nba. Than i do. And i can see that point. I look at a guy who walks away from thirty four million dollars on a good team and i figured okay. He's got money coming back at him somewhere but is he going to get on that. Good a team. I had a friend of mine. Text me last night saying exactly what you said that. He's going to be headed for indiana. Because his wife is from indiana. He played college ball. Butler which i believe is in indianapolis and he would. I'd in there. But then what did they do with victor all depot. And i think indiana's a team. But i don't think there is good as boston. I was unaware that he was not in boston's plans down the road. The other thing. You hear all the time and i'm serious when i say all the time anytime someone is leaving team what. I could wind up at the knicks. Why would you up at the knicks. The knicks stink. They have no players. They changed coaches and personnel. Every single year people say russell westbrook is gonna wind up in the. It's like going to a desert island. I don't know why you would do it. And atlanta to me is the same they stink. So why would you leave a good team unless you were going to a good team. I think it's all about finances him believing he can get between eight hundred million. Here's the thing if they don't include miles turner in a sign and trade with indiana ola depot. Maybe he would be going back to boston. He's been unhappy and he's in the contract. Keep this in mind though. Tony gordon hayward to three years in boston. He only played in one hundred twenty five game. They got her that includes odyssey the opener when he only played in one game so it really has been a rough three use from. He wasn't as productive as they hope he will be. Let me just ask this question when you say it's all about the money. Would he accept playing on a week team just to get the money. Maybe he would do something where he did it. Just one year knowing that in a place like atlanta or new york. I'm going to get more playing time. I increased my value than the following year. I could strike it rich and free agents. That could be a fact. Well okay makes sense. Let's.

"When the back in for the steelers. They run the ball a lot like they really take advantage. On. Heus that's the point. That's why the steelers maybe match up. Well. I think they up extreme well and the deepens I think the second year we'll be much better for the Kansas City Chiefs I. Just think AFC has a lot of teams in it that could. represent. The AFC and the Super Bowl where NFC. WHO'S THE BEST TEAM NFC? Maybe the maybe the Green Bay packers. Tampa Bay. What's Tampa's? Tampa Bay. I do like Tampa. Bay I. Love Todd Bowles I. Think he's a heck of a defense coordinator. He gets another head coaching job opportunity I. Think he can take those teams to the next level. You seen what Tom Brady has done after he learned the system. We're bruce so everybody. First game disguise the fallen down and Tom. Brady now learned a system he learned to players around him. He gets it L. ABC comes in and I know they say he's a security blanket but if he comes in and he plays the way, he's capable slaying. They have too many weapons to go against. Just focusing on the steelers ravens game both teams on both sides of the ball, they're going to be elite this Sunday and Rod. As you said, this game very well could come down to the very last possession. So thank you so much for your time. You were the perfect man for the job you prove that just now. So thank you so much. You. Coming off a not. So pretty Monday night football loss to the Rams by double digits bears head coach Matt Nagy says he is keeping Nick foles under center in Chicago even with the five to record the bears offense ranked twenty seven points per game thirtieth in yards per play in twenty nine in red zone efficiency. Max You voice your faith in Nick foles before do you still believe in him as much as you did prior zoo nick foles is not Aaron Rodgers Nick foles not going to overcome your problems. That's not who he is. You have a terrible offensive line and he can't step into the pocket and he throws fifty fifty balls, which is part of success. Right like I believe in my receiver, give him a shot even if it's an imperfectly thrown ball but instead of being able to step into a pocket, he has to throw off his back foot. That's that's not for Nick foles that's not like he's not a miracle man that with. Nick foles is the kind of guy where if you can, if you have a competent offensive line and you have some weapons around him, he's not only not going to stop and you have a defense he's not only not because there are a lot of quarterbacks fit in this category, the right coaching and a good team. This quarterback won't stop them from succeeding even if he's not the guy to bring them success, I think nick foles is a level beyond that I. think if you surround Nick foles in the rights, the right situation and offensive lines, some weapons a good defense good coach he's not only not gonNA stop you from. Having success he can galvanize team in the moment of truth better than just amid pack quarterback. My basic feeling about him is he's an average NFL starter, which is a good thing with an extra dimension to were guys like to play with him where he's not afraid of the big moment. That's why I always thought he was on this Chicago team given the potential of their defense defense has played very well I. Think they have the potential to be even better I thought something could happen. But what was exposed last week Stephen A. is that the bears offensive line just can't get it done now especially bad because they kept getting. The kept getting the ball and their own five yard line basically. So without an offensive line, that's an especially bad problem but I think the bears were exposed un-imaginative playcalling by Nagy, not a lot of weapons and primarily a problem on the offensive line falls ain't going to overcome that. But if you can get some of those things fixed nick foles can be a guy who can take you there. His problem you're not out. I can't definitively say you're wrong. He's a super bowl champion. We know what he did in Philadelphia. When he won the superbowl, we know what he did the following year when Carson Wentz went down for a second consecutive Tom and he took them to the playoffs beat Chicago, and then ultimately lost to New Orleans divisional playoff game. We've seen what Nick foles can do particularly when he has coaching to question me Max as we don't bring up enough about the coaching, the Chicago Bears Matinee. You get ability you don't give a playcalling responsibilities. You're going to let bill laser coach Bill as a should he really be calling plays? Should he be that guy's for coordinator here two years of Miami he wasn't stellar. He had two years of Cincinnati. Stellar. Okay. Then he had a year's hiatus off before he comes in and takes over Chicago. I've never seen this man with a top ten offense I'm looking at numbers from his rushing I'm sorry from from rushing the football passing the football, he's hovering around the twenties, the teens in passing the twenties and Russia. WHAT DOES CHICAGO HAVE NOW? They got the worst rushing attack football led by David Montgomery. They got a twenty fifth ranked passing attack. They've got the twenty seventh overall offense excuse me and a lot of that may have to do which offensive line because you can't block for the run. You can't protect the past and you took a guy out of the line of Bisky who could of these run with the football although we didn't trust is throwing. So I look at it from that perspective and I say, what do we do expect from Nick foles your play calling this suspect offensive line is suspect you're running game as a result is suspect and passing it's really on you because we know Allen Robinson could play. We know he can play. Jimmy Graham those boys play as well. We're just looking at it right now the fact that they're five and two. You GotTa give the head coach because of their deepest it's really about the deep and Alan Robinson's a good receiver, but he's the only one. Only one is really good receiver but you only have one good receiver you gotta suspect running game got suspect why Jimmy Grant has somewhat of a resurrection to some degree at least a couple of games they're five and two because their defense is answering the call. On eight even though I think nick foles better than Mitchell trubisky because of all of those problems I think you might need a Mo- more mobile quarterback might be may maybe but and Mitch Trubisky is very fast but he doesn't throw the ball down the field like Netflix not at all. Here's the thing about Nick foles like really you're asking who is nick foles is he just a figment of our imagination kind of look nick foles at Arizona was the second best quarterback in the PAC twelve to Andrew luck he was better than that Barkley, who got more press because use it as he's better than brock, osweiler. got because he was so tall right but nipples clued better than those guys in college. He was second to Andrew Luck in the PAC twelve he turns pro with the Eagles. He he had a quarterback at eight to record the year. He went through twenty seven touchdowns to intercessions under chip Kelly that's a baller right like the Bollard Arizona baller with chip Kelly. When he took over the eagles I thought they were dead in the water after Carson Wentz got hurt took him to the Super Bowl. One simple MVP when he took over the eagles the following year, they were five hundred team they were also kind of. They were dead in the water for a different reason. They weren't GonNa make the playoffs under nick foles they caught fire they made the playoffs they beat this bears defense at soldier field, and then almost beat the saints at New Orleans like. Yes. In situations describing he had the right setup he's not a guy who's GONNA become a bad offensively we gotta look at the setup or the beer's GonNa win or they're better off with Mitch Trubisky. You saw. All accurate to me a few weeks ago I would have told you held no. But when we see all the problems that they have, you've got nick foles back. There's a stationary target. You can't protect look at the plate finish. I remember one grind Greasy and Louis Riddick will highlight of the plan Monday night football when. That rookie put a move on Jalen Ramsey. You had three offensive lineman or geared towards Aaron Donald Base Layer. Three to four but I'm just saying three guys you got three on onto hundred defensive side coming at Nick foles he had to unleash the ball early which I which is obviously why he overthrew the receiver the receiver hadn't even broken. My point is it's not him, but it should be the personnel around you, and if you don't have help why have a stationary target where you don't have how? Okay why I think that was a bad match up against the rams because of. And who can keep pinning you back. So fry so deep but I think against most teams that they can do well enough to be in the game, and then I want Nick foles under central. All right. Cool. Fate. Still in Nick foles. All right let's get one.

"Were very sincere and yesterday but I was watching and listening. Yeah I was angry either raiders. You don't go out losing a gardener. Men Shoe like that bunch of omissions. Josh Gordon has been suspended suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL's policy on substances of abuse. The panthers are benching Kyle. Alan going will greer and the chiefs have claimed you boy now reports the reports a Baltimore but you can have a chance to beat Baltimore with Kansas State. High in here we go Forty Nine fountains at home cause for concern. I don't know if it's caused awesome rebels the other dog loss yesterday lose them like down. The final possession is terrible network says the browns plan to keep your boy Freddie Kitchens boring collapse. They're collapsing now. Does this make sense. I would not keep him. I would not Luca Danni take out a couple of weeks. Is that a big deal. Also he's going to miss the whole eastern swing including tonight in Milwaukee Boston Philly Toronto. It's all the Rangers traded for Corey Kluber diamondbacks signed Madison Bumgarner. which is the bigger edition? Mad bums great. But he was nine and nine this year with a three point nine year ray so I will. I will say that last one colts at saints tonight you sense. Even the aroma of an upset commands flanked right. But I don't I don't expect better the next time. And I'm Tony Kornheiser. I'm Mike Robot. Same time tomorrow knuckleheads. Now he sent you to Susie call and the Monday night countdown end now. Let's have virtually Dan Levin taught number tar getting old yard..

"Myself much much love being over the past five considered when the warriors because they lost all their play. Let me just say I've seen that sort of multiple times in a grocery in San Francisco. Really Kidding brophy drugstore. Yeah really really won't Multiple Times. Is this a great. I don't know. Ti Boys and girls in today's episode. The Texans win the bears. Missile lateral ninety and the bills make the playoffs but we begin today with the looming drama in the God awful and see why Dallas pounded Los Angeles and just rams yesterday scoring forty four points. That is their most points in five years. Philadelphia barely escaped. The Washington redskins did not take the lead until until only twenty six seconds left in the game. These teams will meet next Sunday in Philadelphia. We'll bond do you make the cowboys. The clear favourite. No the cowboys are GONNA have to be a clear favourite over anybody eighty. I don't care. What scored they beat the rams by yesterday I mean this is a case where we'll spin off? Everybody will spend all week projecting ciccio putting themselves social situations to predict the game. It's just it's too big market teams. That have had some success. They have a lot of glamour surrounding them and talk about them and then any good good good of if we list the playoff teams. You know all the playoff teams that we get to the end of next week those two will earn. Learn less compensation than all the teams get more than most. I will tell you that that Vegas established the cowboys is a one point favorite. It was was immediately. Bet Up to two and a half. I don't want to be a victim of a term. I just learned today called recency bias. You just learn. I'd I'd I'd not heard that which is as you saw right. Now has an influence on you because the cowboys last week who the cowboys leaves just laws loans. Dreyer's there's and then they lost to buffalo threes way like them quite as much I but but I have no particular confidence in the Eagles Eagles even with their two wins. I'm pretty sure they had to go to overtime and home to be the giants and the reds and they'd been worst teams in the NFC S. So so what not. That's what I'm saying. You can't go around praising you the one of these teams is just like people. The moment that the cowboys won a game before they lost those three every rideau per se. Oh this is the end of this conversation. We won't have to hear from Jerry Jones anymore. Shut up you're in any it right. You're going to hear from Jerry. You're going to have the drama people are GonNa over arrate and overstate the Dallas cowboys. The cowboys aren't any good. I don't care if they beat Philadelphia by fifty. Just want to get to one thing for our friends. Scott van pelt belt is the most awful bad I've ever seen in professional football. Philadelphia was a four and a half point favorites whence throws that touchdown. They're going to win by four. So if you bet the redskins your going to win. You're happy on the last play of the game where it cannot happen twain. Haskins us all the time some took it happened and a four hundred pound. Lineman goes into the end zone on the last play his best San Francisco Atlanta. It happened the same offense play Aero Insane. It's the last place in Saban's all the time saying okay uncle Brent from the don't we we ever learn anything department. We leave the. We have the Houston Texans to discuss in the aftermath of their big division. Win Over the titans in Tennessee to Shawn Watson Watson got his team off to a fourteen nothing lead and even though he threw a couple of interceptions. The Texans held on. This isn't the first time Houston is bounced back from a dreadful game name like last week in Denver win impressively. Yeah Tony. Faith restored in Watson and the Texan. I don't have any particular faith in Watson in Texas. I'll be honest honest. I thought Tennessee was coming back. I thought Tennessee at home was going to win. I believe that Houston won. The game in Tennessee didn't lose it but I've thought about this. I thought aww this is the. AFC South is the least sexy of all the divisions for many many years they got three small market teams. They got Asheville Bill Jacksonville and Indianapolis. They don't really have a history of dominance they have relocated teams. You know the the Baltimore Colts could came into. Napoli's colds colds together. See the Houston oilers when it just. It's a state so you look at it. And they're SORTA easy for me to ignore an a can't get worked up over this if you can. I can't but it has nothing to do with sort of the glamour. The teams if one of them had popped up the Baltimore Ravens deep there relocated they can in each year four. We respect them individually for what the Annapolis Colts they want. But I I just I like to Shawn Watson I like to root for him line line by the way. Jj Watt adding back which ought to help four sacks before he left because they helped to Houston. Things have a game against Tennessee at the he ended yesterday do so so so maybe I don't know about faith no faith restored because I never had any faith. That's it that's sort of root for them again. Mostly because because it's Shawn Watson but this this they haven't played well enough consistently enough they follow a great game like beaten the Patriots with a clunker. My sense the incident and I know what you said about the NFC East representative being the worst playoffs. Thought but my sense is that the team that wins. This is GonNa play the first playoff off game. It's Saturday morning at ten o'clock and while I'd always GonNa Care Nobody's satiety. It sounds like you got a plan in the premier leader. You know slot. We'll this particular the story that we get the Green Bay packers. Beat your Chicago bears yesterday. Twenty one to thirteen which I am sure made Aaron Rodgers as scotch tastes good Johnny Johnny Walker blue. If you're sending Rogers no to me but in the first quarter the first quarter. The bears were penalized for interference on such and denied the recovery admitted again in the first quarter at midfield zero zero game. This was the critical the critical call. It was a bogus August. Call we got hosed you know see what you like when you say teams you like New Orleans and you boy sean. Payton this thing for these guys. We got holy tend to get holes in the fourth quarter. We it doesn't matter when you get hose I'm not demanding to replay the game okay. I'm not doing that. They don't know but this is garbage. This is exhibit A. As to why the League has to investigate the officiating. 'cause they're incompetent in the main. The officials are now incompetent and luckily dean Blandino Adina came on and said no no. That's the wrong call so look. The bears came close. We're probably gonNA come close anyway. Rogers Wins Games. He's nine and two or ten and two the bears Lambeau close game chance. Last play of the game was brilliantly conceived. Our coaching staff almost pulled it off. And I'm not upset but the officials officials let me let me be like fan now because that's what I am when you put that see up. There they stink. They ruined this season. They make it so you question the the integrity of the outcome of the Games they stink. Okay I told you to bet the under you would have one on the under the under was forty one was thirty four. Let me get to the last. Ask play the first one we now. I'm going to the last play play because trubisky doesn't go for the Hail Mary. Sorry he completes the ball's short the Green Bay packers. Don't even engage your team. You need air to Allen Robinson. If there's a pitch out it to him he walks in. That was stunning. It looked like the Miami. Looked like you weren't going to win win. The game we'd have to have a two point amber in overtime which means Rogers throws a ninety nine yard fast. We wanted when you be doing what we were protecting against the Hail Mary. But I'm saying come out took come out come out wherever you are ten. That means the bears at a good job of anticipation with the packers rejoined designing the plate account. We lost the game matinee. Put the Big Matt Nagy. You did a great job the last few weeks so Mazda right. He's not off for reading in this league and there ought to be an investigation a wait. There is various raise. The buffalo bills went into Pittsburgh and secured a playoff spot by beating the steelers last night. It's Buffalo's first ten win season in twenty twenty years to own the defense intercepted you boy. Duck Hodges Luoi Final Two possessions of the game plus. That wouldn't be a mouse if you put them here on. The bills visit the Patriots next without him with a chance to avenge a close home loss. Buffalo Yeah earlier this season. Yeah so so. How seriously do you now take the bill? Okay I think they can go to New England and win and I think that would give them eleven. Wins which is a lot there number. Let me get to Miami though. I'm not the Patriots. Watch a big deal. Yeah they're number two in points allowed in a whole league. The number three three in yards allowed in the whole league. They played the ravens tough a couple of weeks ago. I'm make a public declaration here. A couple years ago I looked at this guy. Sean McDermott. Who is the coach if buffalo when he declared his fealty to Nathan Peterman said? This guy is a Bozo. They're gonNA fire him. They need to fire him. I could not have been more wrong. They made the playoffs more room. They haven't made it in seventeen years later in two out of the last three now this guy. I thought he was a muscle bound Bozo. He knows what he's doing. Well you know seems strong. Got The quarterback right spectacular. I mean toughness. Look you. You know you've been in that stadium been in Buffalo. You know many times. The personality of this team to me seems to fit God knows. I spent the whole early nineties. Ladies and Buffalo going to play on the client fits the people if a franchisee nature and I I find myself rooting for them. A roof forum next week so so so everybody is talking about how great Lamar Jackson is being. The fifth quarterback drew after that draft. Unease that Graham but Josh Allen in the last nine games in the last last nine games. He's got thirteen passing touchdowns six rushing touchdowns and to pay off. so He's going to. He's an efficient and he's good for That squad yeah. He's good for that. Let's take a break coming.

"Every time. People have thirty six birthday Aaron Rodgers when he is not selling every product under the sun. Rogers is still starting quarterback of the Green Bay packers offers and yesterday in the snow l.. Rodgers threw four touchdown passes to beat the giants. There's a point in every game where every quarterback is trapped going to the wrong side with no one open only two quarterbacks though somebody open Rogers in the homes. That's it that's the list rodgers can do some of this stuff because he was such a great athlete in everything. SC He was great on the golf course yes he was a great basketball player. High School could've played college basketball. That was goes back to a quarterback graded everything happy anniversary Miami Dolphins on this day thirty four years ago Monday night football. The Dolphins handed the bears. They're only lawsuit off the screen. The bears at the time with twelve and Owen so was poetic that the dolphins the only only undefeated champion ever ambush them. The bears went on to win the Super Bowl of course and a place in many people's minds as the best team ever Mike will right but you cannot sell that in my adult. I don't blame the Dolphins Tony this game angers depresses visited emotional. It'd be more so than anything really entire real-life happy trails to Winless season for the bengals after an unsuccessful dalliance with Ryan Finley at quarterback the bengals wisely went back to Andy Dalton and the result was twenty two to six win over the New York jets. It is crazy to use this word but the bengals looked dominant. You might expect Dalton look somewhere else next year after the way he was treated Dalton says he wants to return returned to Cincinnati. It'll take him up to deal in.

"England patriots. The Patriots lost in in Houston last night. Twenty eight to twenty two but it was not a close game Houston was up. Twenty eight nine and Tom Brady was seen in the first half telling receivers quote you've gotta get get faster unquote will bond. Was this just one bad loss for the Patriots or sign of deeper issues. It's not a sign of deeper issues. They've had issues. We thought were deep much of the season and they have to do with the offense and what they don't have they don't. They're not able to explode. Tom Brady can screaming people to Facet. Thank God nobody screaming at him to get faster Sir not to see what's eighteen or so seriously I mean just because you're the golden boy does it mean you can't be a little and came back and said he was. He loves playing with these guys. He was trying to get them going understand that so what his job is but Tony. I'M NOT GONNA give up on them because every year. There's something that's supposed to be wrong on deficient with the Patriots and wait. We're still talking about them a week in the February so I'm not ready to to give in. Though we both agree that it would be insane to count them out. He'll bell a chicken too good coach and the teams that have beaten them badly Baltimore and Houston probably have to play them again in the playoffs and Belichick pick really loses twice in the same year. But what is significant as those two teams have run pass quarterbacks and their defense which has been great against against everybody else hasn't been great against them and their offense or something out the second time around. Maybe yes. I do do what their offense doesn't didn't exist at the moment. And you were fond of saying Gronkowski doesn't mean that much but it does mean a lot. They don't Josh Gordon and they don't have Antonio Brown so when Brady says get faster. It's 'cause there's no separation let me give you a statistical line that you're gonNA find fascinating. This is Tom Brady from week. Four on he's thirtieth in completion percentage. He's thirtieth in yards per attempt. He's twenty ninth and Passer Rating. That's Mitch Trubisky Land. Okay and ten is the did the other day. He's GonNa Coach right through Bisky does it. Here's what he'll do if he has to do he'll wind up in the single wing if he asked to and beat people and you they score score power running game. They got five weeks to figure it out. You Watch Sony. Michelle did not want any any words to sit here. You lucky that I can't get the clips that I'm not technologically savvy enough to go back and get a few years ago when you said. This is what they can't do. They can't do this anymore. The sayas asphalt. This is why I've said wait. It's insane to count them out this time. It looks like there. It looks like they're going to have to get resourceful. Okay better awake give faster Tom. Brady Bring Antonio Brown. No no I would. How many Super Bowls Antonio Brown one anywhere? I'd bring him back. I try. You'd be drug tested after that. I drug test you the game. That was incessantly hyped going into the weekend niners Ravens. Ravens delivered the forty niners defense. Lamar Jackson the Ravens Defense. Jimmy G. each was great in his own way. All the separated separated probably the two best teams in the NFL was a forty nine yard game winning kick through the wind. The rain by probably a future hall of Famer told to Baltimore's eighth straight. Eight win convince you. The Ravens are a better team convinced as an interesting word. No is my answer to convinced you get three points for being the home team team. Baltimore's the home team. They won by. They won by three now now. What I don't noses? They seem to San Francisco which has a Greek defense seemed to be able to figure Out How to stop Lamar Jackson's past. He only had one hundred nine yards. That's not much couldn't stop running the critical question for me if they meet again. And we'd all love to see a rematch. That the the critical question for me is. How much does the wet field detract from Lamar Jackson's ability to run and pass? That's that's what I don't know I don't know I don't know what he's run. The Super Bowl could have some rain. You only time. It's ever rained was him at a super bowl was in Miami. So that that that could happen. I I'm not gonNA count on it but Tony this evening game. It's a great game. Yes no criticism about this game or to me for either team and I know you know the forty niners wanted to get back on a roll here going into the playoffs. But they weren't GonNa Roll Through Baltimore yesterday. I thought it was significant. They may Baltimore Punt a couple of times. They held Baltimore to the Ravens. Lowest Point total of the year. That's Baltimore can hang forty on virtually anybody and they have. That's so so. I thought this is something that was a nice spectacle. Neither team proved it was better than the other they look dead. Both teams proved they belong in the upper echelon of the in class. Let me go to Justin Tucker for a second because you said he's a probable hall of fame. Yeah Guy This statistic that is mind blowing is when he gets out there and they show under his name Ainsworth attempting his thirty eighth straight. Fourth quarter field. Is that clarity enough for you. It is wow it is wow so that came over him right. I mean he's an opera singer fascinating guy so he could tell the NFL up yours if he wanted to if he likes doing it must love doing it. And he's the best at it so we would like to see them again. Not so fast. I don't see you know. I hope Garoppolos as good as you think he is the Philadelphia Eagles totally gag yesterday in Miami Dolphins team. That is no longer tanking. Apparently this came a few days after Buffalo. Beat Dialysis Alice's brains out in Dallas Amazingly. Not only is Jason Garrett still employed but the Washington redskins are wait for still alive to win the NFC east the worst division in football. We're gone someone has to win this division. Will it being Dallas cowboys. The skit over even if they lose the bears Thursday night Chicago still be the most of them will be up so the eagles stink stink and if it seems like I'm taking a little bit the joy out of the Cook because I am because I've thought even Philadelphia even know Nick. Foles is benched and not even part of inviting events wearing an eagles uniform seems juice. He's done but they kept the wrong quarterback for that team and the coach seems to be on the arrogant train. You know every week of his life. He's one he's got a ring taken away from them. But you know what you can do you can say. What are you done for me lately? You doing nothing. So here's what happened happen to them yesterday. It's the most embarrassing touchdown every given up in which though under a hundred the kicker throws the ball to the trade play which by the way leads me to believe that the Guy who was coaching at Miami who came from the Patriots rose. He's doing knows what he's doing. Now to your point about Doug Peterson. Here's a quote from him. Today I'm disgusted. I'm mad. I'm angry so angry with himself as well. Using doused is going to win. I want want to say to you. The Dallas is going to win because I think the Eagles Eagles have lost dread. What the three in a row and five out of seven but don't get their schedule? This is what they have because redskins are not GonNa win it. The Eagles have the giants. They have the redskins the cowboys at home. They can look they stink. Are you paying attention attention. This is like in the college football which will get to with dopes started September. Say We'll if they run the table and no one they have average. Speak to the camera for you and for me. What not that long ago? That was the best division in fact they had. It's Shitty Johnson and Joan Campbell. Bill parcells buddy right every year. The Best Division football stink. I ninety five. It is talked for you isn't it. I ninety five six harding's out to join a disheartened. You were texting tornado Saturday. I I was I over. Ohio State Michigan then Alabama Auburn. They will other relevant outcomes like Utah. Oklahoma Wisconsin one. But let's concentrate on the biggies Ohio state obliterating Jim Harbaugh and meet again in the big house. No less an auburn. Hang in forty eight on Nick Sabin and Bama so which one of these results. What is more significant to you? Thought about this. I think it is Alabama losing to Auburn because Alabama is now effectively. Done that affectively done. They're taking a weird because now they're left with two losses and the inability to get into a conference championship. Even in had Ohio State lost to Michigan. Come back well. They were one loss team. They were going to the conference champion. Not Going to be eliminated no matter what and for that reason and for the fact that that's one of the greatest college games I've ever seen I'm going to say Alabama Auburn that game name Auburn Alabama elicited more shrieks in my house than any game in the last couple years. Probably just another Alabama great. It was a great game. Tony and I understand what you're saying because one team was eliminated at the Ohio state wasn't going to be but Tony House. They went in there and got a significant victory over gotten hot. That's Michigan team that we know had to be desperate. Although the Ohio State House it makes a convincing case as players and coaches because they know these people in the office and they they grew up in a border war. It's a local thing. Ohio State Michigan and the Ohio State. People look right into the camera and say they don't take it seriously enough they see it on the record they say it and they may. They've made me believe it. And so I thought that was more significant to me house as the best team in the country they now now have one of the two or three best victories. LSU You could argue has the best victory. You could argue now that Auburn even though there are three loss team has the best victory but but well I mean I just want to go back to Auburn for a second because what turns out in hindsight to be the critical play of the game is when Malzahn got them to put one second can on the clock right before Him who was gonNA kick the. NFL went out there and kicked a forty eight yard field goal or something like that. Yeah and those three points were very big deal in the end for the kicker the way it ended the kicker Donkin it for Alabama you was sure was going to go to overtime. I mean that that is a game. Where when you get done with that game you say that's great and because overtime how about this saving and Bella check lose on the same weekend for the first time I yeah I think eleven year? It's rare now. I will say as you know. Eight years saving sanctimonious but I thought they got hosed at the end of the first half because of the world. Let's take a break coming up the charges find a new way to lose. And should we suddenly trust the chiefs. You know what I'm interested now in the rankings. Takings tomorrow night.

"Lions offense today are NFC north preview around eleven thirty and then we'll have our bold predictions eleven forty five before we are out of here but the this bears they've lost four in a row during the streak they have not scored a first half touchdowns they have just twelve total points on twenty three processions before halftime that's it before halftime it's absolutely brutal what this team is done knew what that means for a that means your defenses out there getting gassed out you know we're not often should be out there right driving the ball the differences on the field and in the second half in the fourth quarter especially what happens when your defense tired well I don't know do you drive to fall ball down the field to meet you what happened last week was after the bears scored a couple of touchdowns they needed the defense to make it stop the defense apparently was gassed and of Philadelphia one out of eight a half minute drive there's never got the ball back well they had a chance but Adams he fumbled the kick off he just ruthlessly I mean come on I mean that's what happens when you move up to take a tight end out of actually well what George kill what's out there he went for three rounds later it's not the it's not the college they come from it's the intelligence they're working with can I say it for the first time today more on I guess you can so today a big day for the bears they're looking to snap this four game losing streak they need to start fast a remark Pradesh's called today start fast as what the bears need to do get a get out the board early and then let that the feds and go to work they're halfway through now three and five with eight more games to go bad that you this week asked if they can actually hit the reset button now halfway through the season you have to I mean it's a good point because we are halfway through and there's as many games as we just played we got that many guaranteed for sure so when you say is a reset button we we discussed that we don't want to look at that far ahead but we won't understand it we are to halfway point so how are we going to go about finish in the second half and that's going to be you know what I think is something that we look back on how we handle everything so it's it's day by day game by game but at the same time yeah you can you can certainly put it that way yeah were a year three five halfway through what do you say for sure we got that many games are so he's still got playoffs on his mind I guess it till is eliminated well until your live a listen tactically you could go eleven and five the girl you got it with the rest of our you know yeah well I mean they're not going to do it but you could Larry games remaining every time you step on the field you say you're going out there trying to win a game and that that's the best they could do is eleven five with their five losses right now and they've got the try twice they've got Minnesota again they've got Green Bay again the guy Kansas city late this season so why yeah I don't see that happening well that's what meant that he's gonna try to preach to these guys interested.

"Quality of opponents are extremely low but I would also put it to you for example sample and I know the Canada this but and I'm not equating the two teams but the Patriots four wins are against the steelers who you can make the quarterback head coach argument there certainly the dolphins which is one of the cowboys three victories the jets and another you can make a quarterback argument. If you feel like you can make that head coach argument and the bills the bills was as a legitimate test and the reason I don't know there's there's a large sector of cowboys fans that aren't too down in the dumps about this loss to the saints I think part of it is that it's the saints and they were in the NFC championship game a year ago and it's Sean Payton and you know they have very good roster and all these things and I also think part of it is that the whole league for the most part in terms of its contenders were kind of put the test that New England was put to the test by Buffalo City in Detroit. Obviously Green Bay Philadelphia had a big game I mean. I don't think you know any cowboys. Fan would deny for example that the cowboys do not have a win of the quality that the eagles do over the packers for example but so in spite of the fact that the cowboys lost in maybe they're not the best team in the NFC today and I don't again. I don't think I believe that they they are but I do believe that this game against the packers packers is sort of for the right to be the and we're not gonNA like hand at a sash or anything but like the best team in the NFC because who is who who is the best team in the NFC. I think the contenders under the cowboys are strong a contender but you've got the saints. Obviously you've got the packers the cowboys if you WANNA make a case for the bears as opposed you can. I'm sure you WANNA make a case for the seahawks ox. The Rams are in that conversation and Eagles. I I wouldn't put the lions there. Maybe I'm not buying enough into that. I do think they're good but I don't think they're in the conversation for the best in the conference. Well I largely agree with you and I think the reason the saints loss was quote. Unquote bad is because there's no drew brees so that's yeah that becomes a game you have to win regardless of how good the coaches you have to win that game because I mean I think it's safe. I have to assume that drew brees is out there. They're scoring more points than they did. I think it was twelve points. They had so you know. Suddenly you're losing that game. Maybe twenty eight to ten or something like that and then you know you kind of feel a little bit worse colonel but I mean mentioned the Patriots. You know there's a reason to believe yeah. Those winds may be hollow for known but there's something there there the Patriots then but yeah I you can't discount obviously the eagles and russell associate of a seahawks Aaron Rodgers and I think if it came to a playoff matchup the bears are terrifying opponent for the cowboys because that defense can like the cowboys seem like a team but if that offense isn't clicking if things aren't working well. They're going to be very stagnant the entire game so I think what a cowboy fan should be more scared of not having to have a matchup against a weak defense where it's just an offensive battle. I think the the cowboys are well positioned to be able to handle those types of games. I think you should be more worried about a stifling defense. Second completely shut down receivers and completely at least shut down a running game. Check out the American Ninja Warrior podcast for behind the scenes. I guess you have to go with the best quarterback and best quarterback back in the NFC right. Now is Aaron Rodgers and you know we talked about the difficulty in schedule and everything like that Aaron Rodgers faced a couple of really good defense is and you can even say so far this season. He hasn't been amazing or stellar which is almost kinda scary. Part is he. You know shaking off the rust as he is. He getting you know acquainted with the new offensive system and his new head coach. You know we haven't seen full potential. Oh yeah from Aaron Rodgers and the system this year so I mean that's a little bit terrifying so in that regard I think best quarterback that's the one I would. You're the most but I think some teams are better position. Matchup wise to the cowboys possibly bigger problems so I do think you know the packers had defensive people were starting to talk about you know up until last week when they lost the Eagles and a lot of see like I think you can you can make the whole and not to the same name degree but you can make the whole like who of the played argument for a lot of teams and you look at the packers and they've certainly played some great defense. It's week one at Chicago arguably the best defense in the NFL all and that was an impressive win then they'd beat the Vikings and if you watch that game closely they they could have lost that game they didn't and you know that's interesting or not interesting but that's worth noting but my point is that it's not like they ran away from all my only point in terms of separating that game from like the cowboys wins. Is that the cowboys handily Enderle beat these head coaches in quarterbacks that might not be there next and you know that's a that's a sign of a good team in my opinion and they beat the Broncos who I think we all think have for good defense but hasn't been a good defense certainly this season and they lost the eagles and granted within the eagles are a good team as well. I would disagree with your assessment that the best quarterback back in the NFC right now is Aaron Rodgers because the best quarterback in the NFC is not Dak Prescott combat. I knew you kind of work that I was going to go there my heart my heart could be yes the the best quarterback. I think an I'm talking like playing like the best quarterback right now is Russell Wilson and it's a shame that the seahawks kind kind of trap him in don't let him you know sort of ball out and take over games. They're just so insistent on running the ball you know there was such a team you know really sort of on the cutting edge of of analytics and things like that for a long time now just really really really regressed but I think Russell's playing better football today than Aaron and not at all guys a slight Aaron Rogers but so I don't know that I would necessarily say the seahawks are the best in the NFC either because you look at their schedule who they've played in who they beat in week. One the seahawks Knox they beat the bengals and they went to Pittsburgh steelers and then they lost themselves to Teddy Bridgewater and the saints in granted you know they allowed Teddy Bridgewater in the sense to the kind of score on them which the cowboys didn't and then they beat the cardinals last week so I mean I would argue that the seahawks are just as hollow of three in one scene is the cowboys for example sure but I think it's fair to believe more impe Carolyn Russell Wilson and that kind of duo then Jason Garrett and Dak Prescott for now yeah that aspect of I mean you know like I had kind of touched on it Aaron Rodgers and the new system Russell Wilson's but in the same system his whole career with the same head coach his whole whole career so there's that kind of expectation that you expect these guys that have been in this whole entire system and they're not starting training camp from scratch and learning learning new things as much as just perfecting what you've already been doing so. I think you should expect Russell Wilson in the first four weeks of the season to you know look better on average than Aaron. Rodgers may have looked and I know they play different teams. There's all of that I think you should be expecting you know that core the Dallas has offensively in Dachsie and Jason Garrett. They should be held to a higher standard especially in these first three or four weeks that they've I've had and again like that. One real quote unquote real challenge. There was a lot left to be desired so I think the packers are team currently tied for first. I believe in their division. They're a team that I don't believe it's going to slow down and if the defense is really stepping up in these kinds of games where rogers is just you know figuring out how the system's GonNa work and you know really developing it by the end of the year I expect expect them to be the biggest threat and we haven't even touched on the rams yet somehow look great until week four where they got murdered by the bucks or not murdered right but I mean they gave up fifty something point so that's just part of the craziness the NFL 'cause I can't explain that I don't even know how to process that so then then I wanted to I want to touch on the rams and this is fitting because this episodes coming up Thursday morning and so they play for what the listener we'll know as tonight there in Seattle on Thursday night football. That's that's a really great game and so before we kind of get into that game in the rams specifically for lack of a better term because I know that you hate this but power rank like your give me your top five. NFC teams from top to bottom as best you can. You've got the packers at one who's behind kind. Then is it I mean. Would you put the Seahawks I mean. Would you put the cowboys there I mean what would you put the same because they beat the cowboys. I mean who who's your next That's really difficult and are we doing. You know like Saints Right now. Are we doing the sayings you know three or four weeks from now and drew brees is back. you know. I'm still GONNA go with the packers number. One seahawks and rams are Kinda right there two and three and then when you get into that four or five range at least for me personally you know I probably like the cowboys over a team like the bears in my power rankings we but I could that matchup would probably be you know a coin toss. I honestly I honestly think that quarter to cut you off. Although I enjoy it but I mean I honestly they think honestly think the cowboys would be in. I did not put them in in my power rankings which was NFL wide above the saints This Week because I felt like you would feel ridiculous because they just lost but I honestly feel like now I I would put them in the context of this discussion I would put them as alarm threat to win the NFC over the even though they lost to them. You know what I mean like that seems more like an isolated incident and the saints being a better team. the drew brees factor is is. He's a real one but it's so hard to know right. I mean who knows how he comes back. How responding. It's you know I mean I mean who knows what happens with even the bears in their quarterback situation. It's GonNa give up on Bisky right now or anything. I mean that's very hard to gauge and I think we saw last year. You can't just ride and excellent defense in today's day and made sure so. We think the top then you know sorta cream of the crop. We've got in in whatever order you under ultimately put it. You've got the packers. You've got the saints you got. The cowboys got the SEAHAWKS. That's four teams. Put the rams as a fifth. I honestly think I would put the eagles in before I will put the bears call it. That's that's like six right. That's six best teams in the NFC so to speak and it's amazing that we don't don't have the forty niners in there we don't have the lions and they're granted. You know I mean. I don't think that's as amazing but you get the point. The forty niners lions lions are still kind of improvement territory..

"We went three minutes each with every team they see just catching up with the team as their team building has gone through free agency. And of course, now the draft where the teams are now. Now, we're going to do it with all the NFC teams Colleen sitting in the Mark Cecil chair marksville invocation Connie how you feel right now as we dig it. I don't think you've joined us for around the NFL, right? Forty eight minutes yet. And I'm really glad that I didn't prepare for all of the AFC almost. Which would have really been on the nose for me that would have been awesome. All right. So here we go county. I am about to throw it to you to kick off the NFC east, and we're going to start with your favorite team. So here we go. Around the NFC in forty eight minutes starts now. All right. So Philly said goodbye, Nick foles. And now there's just a giant statue of him in Philadelphia commemorating the Super Bowl and everything he did for the city, no pressure. Carson Wentz in free agency. Howie Roseman brought back to Sean Jackson. He traded for Jordan Howard. And then at the draft they spent three draft picks on offense their first three on offense. They I love how they leapfrogged the Texans to get Andre Dillard who will eventually replace Jason Peters. Then they picked up mile Sanders. Running back who backed up saquon Barkley at Penn State for his first two seasons. So he has under three hundred total carries my like that. He's got some fresh legs and he catches passed. It was up to Meuse. Stop. That is something that the eagles really needed because Jordan Howard is not really his forte. They needed an every down back. So I kind of like that situation. They always have a ton of running backs there by committee. And then they got jump all specialist JJ are single Whiteside. So all of these moves tell me one thing Super Bowl. My takeaway how we Roseman is trying to take the pressure off Carson Wentz. The physical pressure of him performing and elevating pressure around him and that mental pressure now that moles is gone. Just being the dude that can do it. I agree that their depth on offense. And you could see in this draft is incredible. And I don't know if it's just to take pressure off Carson Wentz. I think it's a belief that you win with offense in the NFL that they want their often more than anything they want their offense to be a top five oftens every year and give Doug Peterson and went as many. Matchup options as possible. And that's what I'd be excited about as an eagles fan with the depth that running back and receiver anti-dam that just depending on the play and the opponent and the match and the down. It's like they can find some sort of match up to take advantage of feel like the trade up for Dillard is basically the microcosm of the Howie Roseman second era that like he can do no wrong. First of all, that's the one minute, Mark. Okay. Then a harp. A is like I thought that was some you about to wax poetic about how Roseman was the gentle reminder. Thank you for that feel like I'm going to do commercial. How? I love the eagles is a bounceback candidate this. Well, then if the bounce back into the second round of playoffs but bounce back in getting that division back for all the reasons you pointed out and my belief that Carson Wentz a big comeback season head of. Yeah. On paper. It seems like everything is lined up for them. Now, I am concerned a little bit at safety safety and linebacker after lewd is after losing, Jordan Hicks. I felt like middle on something there. I gotta look at their depth chart right now. Because I don't know they wore alone. Yeah. I think it is very low there ultra four. I don't know two linebackers with Adam cruciate. You're gonna have a weakness. That's a good spot to be that was that the final ten seconds..

"So that doesn't mean anything trae Qantas gonna improve the falcons look Poppins are starting Tyson umbrella as the right tackle this year. So like, you know, they're gonna have some issues in terms of outscoring the saints. And that's really what we're talking about who puts up the most points. And that's what the saints are gonna wind up doing. We'll see about other topics which will discuss later on. But saints could have a barrel. All right weird to questions down. These guys are firing on all cylinders. I'd love it for those of you listening. Do not forget you get to vote. You get to tell us who you think the winner is go to the falcon Hollick dot com. Pick your winner vote in our poll. We appreciate the feedback. You guys have given us on this. This has been a fantastic one. So far, I'm excited to get through all these questions. So let's just jump into the third question. And Erin, you're gonna lead us off with this one. And this one is very interesting because it sort of points to some of the things you guys have just talked about. And that is this very simple in the NFC south actually has a lot of talent at the wide receiver position across all of the teams. I think many people would agree guys like Khalil Jones. Mike evans. Michael Thomas, fantastic wide receivers in the NFC south. So the question is very simple one which NFC south wide. Seaver will have the most yards in two thousand nineteen. This is an open the question. Erin, you chose. Of course, the one the only Julio Jones to lead the entire in the south in yards this upcoming season. You have sixty seconds to make your case, sir. Quin tors Lopez Jones is twin towers Lopez Jones like he'd basically his average the most yards in the NFL per game over the last four seasons in gets almost as many targets. He's the most targeted receiver in the NFC Julio's production is stable it is rocks. It has been consistent. The last three years you're thinking, oh will count really is going to grow in and eat into his is production. No, he's going to eat in the news production Julio consistently the same amount of targets per gain of not gonna change under cutter. He is a rock. You know what Dan Quinn? What's to be hashtag physical this year? That means more ballots will guess what that the falcons could be running more play action, which means more deep throws the Julio. Oh, so he's going to be able to rack up in continue rack up yards. Even if the falcons don't throw the ball as much as they did a year ago. I love people in the table for Julio. You're not gonna get an argument for me. But Eric you don't get the pound the table for Julio. You're going to be pound into table for one. Mike Evans, you've got sixty seconds to make your case, sir, go, I'm sure to fans for half a second thought, you were going to say, Mike Thomas and this. But no. Again, they hire Bruce Arians in. We know what the we know what what experience Bruce Arians brings to the table. As far as his office of prowess was look at his numbers back when he was head coach at Arizona and how that office was fifth in twenty seventeen in third twenty sixteen in passing attempts. They were night that year in twenty sixteen yards were second in twenty fifteen in yours. Basically what I'm trying to say is he likes though, the ball down a feel Mike Evans is twenty five years old. And he's very good at sneaky good receiver more of a deep threat to than Mike Thomas is. So I guess he brings a little bit more versatility to offense. They may be losing the Jackson this upcoming all season. So I start for him. And Jameis Winston. Love it. What passionate these answers? Erin. You've got thirty seconds to make your rebuttal go. Whoa. You know, Eric Schmidt. A great case against the Mike Thomas, but I wasn't arguing Mike com..

"The west which is loaded and the east is obvious the gap between the nfc afc is becoming equally imbalanced i was thinking this morning i i rate it the four best divisions in the nfl based on quarterback play and they were all nfc divisions in the nfc you have three competent quarterbacks in every division and then maybe a project in the afc you often have one proven star quarterback and several projects to me the best division football in terms of quarterback to me it's the nfc west russell wilson's and as going to be a hall of famer i think jared goffin jimmy garoppolo are both be plus with garoppolo this year perhaps moving into a minus and i think sam bradford and josh rosen our c plus talents rosen's rookie he'll be a b talent but i would say to me the nfc west is the best quarterback division the worst quarterback team in that division is competent a bradford when he's healthy is a b minus be quarterback and i think rosen's gonna play very early the second best quarterback division to me in football is the nfc east where carson wentz is an a plus i think alex smith and dak are beat a b plus listen alex smith went a bunch of games he's done have a big arm he went to bunch of game smart athletic coach able and i think eli manning's to see again a two time superbowl winning quarterback your fourth quarterback in vision i think outside of that i would go to the nfc south where drew brees remarkably at his age is still an a i'd say matt ryan i know i'm a little tougher on math and everybody else i put him at b plus cam newton depends on the week he's not an accurate precise thrower in a game that demands it but he is a presence he has been an mvp so cam kind of depends on the day the sunday the half icm he's an a b c plus category jameis winston i'm losing faith in but i do think james has talent i just think he's juvenile and needs to.
