Russia issues arrest warrant for Lindsey Graham over Ukraine comments
"Russia has issued an arrest warrant for a U.S. senator. Russia wants to arrest senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina after what he said about the war in Ukraine. Graham met with Ukraine's president zelensky on Friday, zelensky's office later released an edited video in which senator Graham says the Russians are dying and describes U.S. Military assistance to Ukraine as the best money we've ever spent. Senator Graham appears to have made the remarks at different times in the conversation, but the short video by Ukraine's presidential office put them next to each other. It caused outrage in Russia. The Russian interior ministry then issued the arrest warrant. I'm Rita foley

"Of 1 % and the euro this morning against the dollar at one spot 0 764. We've had quite a turbulent week in terms of markets being hit by these surprise hikes by Canada and Australia. So all eyes on the upcoming Fed meeting next week. Just in terms of US 10 year treasury yields they trade at 375 up by three basis points. Two year yields at 455 are also high three basis points. As for the stock futures for the US market open S &P 500 even down is two tenths now as that futures are also dropping. Just lastly though another story of interest the Turkish lira Despite Erdoğan announcing what seems like market positive news with her fees Khan being appointed as the new central bank governor you've actually got the lira spot price remaining under pressure. So down 1 .6 % against the dollar and down another eight tenths of one percent against the euro. So that is a look at the markets Now one of our headlines crossing the terminal is that UBS has sealed a 10 billion dollar loss protection deal with the Swiss government and to discuss we have our breaking news editor in the studio with us Leo Lee Kenship. Kenship It's perfect. It's perfect. As you said it came from time Leah, right? What's in this deal? Exactly. So today's agreement says that UBS will take the first five billion Swiss francs in losses it may incur from the deal and then the Swiss government will step in to take the next nine billion Swiss francs in losses. And yeah, as you said, it's been it's been a clear it's been a major hurdle that's been cleared today and it has been hotly debated in the country as well. We're now expecting deal the to close on Monday and then the actual merger can begin. Okay, so is it looking like a good deal for UBS? Yes, I think I think it's important to point out from a from a technical point of view, this so -called loss protection agreement will cover a specific portfolio of credit Swiss assets, so mainly loans and derivatives. So, so the complex stuff and these assets correspond about to three percent of the combined assets of the of the merged group and this really shows you how how massive the combined lender will be. So, so yeah I think it was an important step and it also shows you that it wasn't you know it came out of a crisis rather than a strategic decision by UBS to buy CS, of course. Does it matter the timing of this deal? Do we know anything about it? Yes, so So on a Monday it should close and then we'll have to see how good the integration is going on where I mean our colleagues reported about various job cuts that may be maybe in the in the making so we'll have to see how that plays out. Okay, our Breaking News editor Leo Kenshirpa, thank you very much for being with us in the studio. Now to the markets, Aralian tech stocks pushed the S &P 500 into a bull market overnight, but futures are lower now so let's bring in our Bloomberg Markets reporter Valerie Tytel. Valerie what was fueling the optimism? Yesterday was all about the unexpected rise in jobless claims which spurred many to think think that maybe we're finally getting the labor market weakness we've all been waiting for remember jobless claims jumped weeks ago but then Massachusetts revised all that away so you can't fool them twice we now think this might be the real deal but that led to quite an impressive risk on rally after that the S &P broke out into that bull market it's now risen 20 % since its lows on October 12th and I went back to look at you know on October 12th who had the guts to buy equities back then let me tell you what was going on on October 12th the dollar strength was almost at its peak huge wrecking ball to the globe the gilt market fiasco was in mid swing then and U S inflation had its last hot print so anyone who had the guts to buy equities then would be sitting on a nice juicy 20 % now wow I know that's that's incredible isn't it the lows now in terms of the China data is that kind of the big issue then today in of terms the rally there's just more concerned about the rebound more concerned about China's growth rebound that EPI the came in really soft and what that means for the rest of the globe is that anyone buying these products from China might see a deflationary impulse so in some way it's good for the rest of the globe in of terms the the fight against inflation that the West is dealing with but when it comes to China it's leading to just more and more speculation that there's more easing on the way the China does set one of its key policy rates next Thursday speculation has been growing that they need to do something and need to cut that rate so pay to attention that but that just the data out of China continuing to surprise on the downside Japan's way onto your agenda why BoJ meets next Friday and we had some sources citing that they are not likely to end yield curve control next week now this is is coming with the backdrop of the fact that a jet in Japan's bond market has been more liquid is more functioning more properly because that kink in the curve has really disappeared as this pressure on global rates really subsided a bit but maybe the market is taking that as there is going to be no surprise from the BoJ next Friday we know the BoJ loves to surprise the market when no one's talking about it but now we think that might not be in the cards so perhaps maybe the Fed will be the most interest policy meeting next week we a do have lot on next week agenda including the Fed the ECB the BoJ and China as I mentioned to watch in terms of the the Fed expectations though yeah I suppose how difficult a moment is it going to be look they have over communicated their intention to pause maybe they'll regret that down the line who knows now but the market is leaning more and more to the fact that they're going to have to go again in July the key thing next week is what they're going to issue in their summary of economic projections there's been some chat recently some speculation recently they could actually raise their inflation forecasts for maybe 2024 at least subtly implying that they might be happy with the three handle inflation for a bit longer than maybe the rest of the market would have assumed earlier and then we that key dot plot of theirs which shows where Fed members see the terminal rate by the end of the year again a lot of market chatter that that dot plot could be shifted higher so They will pause rates, but then kind of communicate somewhat hawkish message saying there could be not just one but maybe two more straight hikes in the cards I'm glad that you're here to read the tea leaves of the Fed what they really by mean all of their signals it was a conversation we were having earlier whether all the confusion around Fed policies down to the data volatility or actually the comms at the Fed but great to have you with us our markets reporter Valerie title thank you for that shortly we will have a check on the markets for you this is Bloomberg Daybreak Europe the priority for this government is the cancerous infighting that is consuming the heart of government indicators of underlying inflationary pressures remain hi the banking that obviously is a really small player in the global central banking universe she said he really wants make Britain at the forefront of both the development of AI but also the regulation of AI Bloomberg Daybreak Europe on Bloomberg radio and it's 9 30 a .m. here in London good morning I'm Caroline and I'm Lizzie Burden this is Bloomberg Daybreak Europe we check the markets for you all day long here on Bloomberg Radio we're 90 into minutes the start of cash equity trading here in Europe and the stock 600 is pretty much flat it's in the red you've got just over half the basket in the green basic resources and utilities leading the way but dragged down by chemicals elsewhere in

Fresh update on "next friday" discussed on Bloomberg Daybreak Europe
"Down by three tenths so we have some softening of the European equity space this morning US features also pointing lower and in fact we have taken a bit of a leg down in just the last half hour or so so E -mini is down three tenths of one percent NASDAQ futures down at two tenths in terms of the sector breakdown here in Europe we've got a third of sectors in positive territory two thirds trending lower by far and away the worst performing sector is chemicals down by one point four percent and in fact we had an update from the London listed company that is Croder and it seems to be that that's weighing on the markets that particular company down by eleven percent this morning the oil price is a little bit weaker seventy five sixty six down by four tenths of one percent we saw quite a lot of volatility in oil pricing yesterday yields we a continue recent move higher we've got yields across the US curve moving higher this morning the dollar is up by a tenth of one percent we see the euro is down one tenth at 107 .70 and the pound is also down a tenth at 125 546 that is your Bloomberg Business Flash well let's dig in more into what's been happening in the markets on Wall Street that rally in technology stocks pushing the S &P 500 into a bull market yesterday our market supporter Valerie Titala is with us for more Valerie let's go let's go back in time shall we to yesterday so you can tell us what fuels this optimism it was really the surprise jump claims that got us excited that maybe finally we're seeing some labor market weakness at the Fed was looking for it spurred rally and risk assets notably the Nasdaq snapped its its terrible day it had two days ago and push the S &P into that bull market territory but still a lot of eyebrows being raised on the breadth of this rally funny enough from the S &P 500 if you strip out information technology in that same time frame it's only rallied 12 percent but okay you know stocks up again down again something's weighing on sentiment this morning isn't it Valerie is it to do with the Chinese data that we had out earlier maybe that was the one piece of weak data but but if anything week data out of China is leading the market to believe that there might be more Chinese stimulus in the cards and that can you know net on net be positive for risk assets so not really sure why equities have turned so sour recently this morning but let's go back to that data out of China what was really weak was the PPI the producer price inflation came in way lower than expected down 4 .6 percent year on year that's a deflationary number we've not seen since 2015 so it's been a while since we've been in this dynamic but we get the Chinese MLF rate decision next week this is one of their two key policy rates that they said speculation has been rising that they might cut rates okay so that's what's happening in China what about panned this morning Valerie what are you watching so the BOJ is also meeting next Friday and speculation about them breaking yield curve control has been really shoved to the side this morning there were some lines out saying the BOJ is said to see little need to to tweak yield curve control for now I know that they have cited recently the better of the bond market that that kink that used to be there in the ten -year sector because of this yield curve control has really eased a lot and it gives the Bank of Japan a bit more room the FX FX market is really responding to this the yen is weakening nearly half percent this morning kind of the standout mover in the FX space on those headlines that looked us doesn't look like there'd be any fireworks at next Friday's BOJ meeting okay thanks very much Valerie Bloomberg's markets reporter Valerie Teitel on the optimism that was and the almost inevitable hangover the next day in the slight pullback that we're seeing in their futures must yeah well we'll leave market audiences aside for the moment let's turn to safer territory and the London rush or we can carve out time to highlight UK businesses making announcements in London and we've got Bloomberg's arena and gal with us for more on today's top corporate stories morning to arena and we're gonna start actually with this market in the UK morning Stephen so we have the government saying they want to keep in place the energy profits levy and that's for the next five years so until March 2028 and that's oil while and gas prices remain higher than historic norms the government has also set a floor for the windfall tax and you know the windfall tax has raised about 2 .8 billion so far and the government said that money has helped them contribute to household bills or to our bills okay so the government sets out this plan out until 2028 as you suggest with different assumptions around prices attached to it elsewhere we've seen some M &A news Network International what's the story there indeed so the payments processing company they've agreed a takeover deal with Brookfield Asset Management and that's valuing the UAE based company at around 2 .2 billion the deal was agreed that 400 people share and that's a 10 % premium to the closing price okay so that's the latest Network International turning next to a company name that I find quite difficult to say without being misunderstood one disco not a number of discos that's WAN disco and it's a software company and they're planning to raise up to 30 million dollars and this is an attempt to turn around its fortunes because there was a discovery of false purchase orders for them and now they're saying that they even plan to change their name so maybe to disco who knows and they hope the suspension of the shares will be listed around the end of June. and briefly lion trust, asset management, what's going on with them and GAM? well GAM said lion trust now expects to publish both the circular and offer prospectus around June 13 and this new date comes as the investor group that's led by the French billionaire Xavier Niel attempts to oust the board as part of the opposition to the sale. and shares in lion trust down by 1 % this morning on that news as well. Irina and Gal thank you very much for joining us with the London rush we'll find more on these stories on the London rush on Bloomberg .com and of course on the terminal as well so those are some of the corporate headlines that we're watching really interesting to see that move on the uk energy profits levy it's been something as we've been hearing paper in the review earlier on that the government has been sort of had a plan in place for a while something that we reported earlier this year as well do you just want to point to another story though which we're not covering extensively this morning but following up on the air quality situation in the in the u .s new york city air quality returning to moderate for the first time since monday i've been sort of fascinated by this because it it the pictures are really incredible yes um coming out of new york and i'm really worrying frankly that you're talking about in in such a densely populated city that people worry you know the air quality being so bad that you can't go outside of the

Binance Quits Canada Over Regulatory Issues
"Let's not bury the lead. Binance has quit Canada. Citing unsuitable regulatory conditions the world's largest exchange will no longer be available for Canadian residents. In a tweet on Friday afternoon, binance said, unfortunately, today we are announcing that binance will be joining. Other prominent crypto businesses in proactively withdrawing from the Canadian marketplace. We would like to thank those regulators who worked with us collaboratively to address the needs of Canadian users. Albeit a small market, it held sentimental value for us as the home country of our founder. We had high hopes for the rest of the Canadian blockchain industry. Unfortunately, new guidance related to stablecoins and investor limits provided to crypto exchanges makes the Canada market no longer tenable for binance at this time. We put off this decision as long as we could to explore other reasonable avenues to protect our Canadian users, but it has become apparent that there are none. So I think at this stage, it's worth trying to get a little bit of the history and context for binance in Canada. Obviously they are identifying some recent limits and new guidance, but there is of course a history here and it's worth knowing. Luckily, Canadian crypto lawyer Jacob Robinson did a threat on exactly that. He writes finances founded in 2017 at which time Canadian residents had access to the platform for crypto transactions. On March 29th, 2021, the Ontario securities commission notified crypto asset trading platforms that they had until April 19th to contact OSC staff to discuss regulation. These discussions revolved around bringing crypto asset platforms, operations into compliance with Canadian securities laws. The collapse of quadriga and an investigative report led to quote regulatory takeaways applicable to crypto asset platforms, which spurred these conversations. But this common in talk actually led somewhere. There are ten registered crypto platforms in Canada, and many more gave pre registration undertakings with plans to register.

Speaking to reporters during a bike ride on Sunday, President Biden says he's hopeful there will be more talks with top congressional leaders over the debt limit impasse before he leaves Wednesday for the G 7 summit. You may not be safe because I'm in congenital optimist. But I really think this is desire on their part as well as ours to reach agreement. A plan to host Congress's top four lawmakers on Friday had been put off, but senior administration officials say talks among staff have been productive. President Biden and senator Schumer are stuck on no. House speaker Kevin McCarthy wants to use the threat of defaulting on the nation's debts to leverage conservative policies and force a deep spending cuts to rein in the national debt. Randall Terry Goes to the 1988 Democratic Convention, Lands in Jail
"So take us back to 1988. You decide to go to the democratic convention in Atlanta and you put in jail, keep tell that story again. All right, so I'm on CNN crossfire with Pat Buchanan and Mark green. Mark green says, what's next? And I say we're going to Atlanta to the democratic invention. We had no plan. Nothing in place, no infrastructure, nothing. So my staff, they just went crazy and we started sending out letters and making phone calls begging people. Please come to Atlanta and join us and go to jail for three or four days during the convention. So we get there. There's a 137 of us that go on the first morning of the convention. We go to an abortion clinic and we sit down and we start praying, the police arrest us, and when they take us into custody, they, they said, what's your name? And we said, all the men said, my name is baby John Doe. In other women said, my name is baby Jane Doe. Because we wanted to identify with the babies who had no name. So nobody had identification with them known had any money. We knew that they would hold us. And they had this huge warehouse facility with cots. They brought us in, they put us there, and they thought, okay, well, they're being smart, Alex, they'll give us their name and we wouldn't do it. So after a couple of days in this big place, they put us in the key road prison facility. Which was another mistake on their part because they gave us an entire wing of the prison. And during the day, the men and women could hang out in a big area together, and we sang and prayed and had preachers in jail, we had prayer meetings, and Bible studies, 24/7. I mean, literally all day long. And while we're there, the police are negotiating with us and they say, okay, on Friday, at the end of the week, we'll just let you all go. Time served. Well, the attorney for the do versus bolt in case. Now we all are familiar with roe versus wade, but it was actually two cases. Roe versus wade, and Doe versus Bolton. The dough case was critical because it defined health of a woman. So when they stay a woman has an abortion for her health, that can mean financial health, emotional health, up to the day of birth. So the attorney for dough versus Bolton, Marjorie Pitts haymes, she said to the city council and to the police, don't you dare let these people go without giving their names. So we found out that she was the problem. And man, you know, I'm in my 20s. I've got a bunch of young advisers around me. And I thought, you got to be kidding me. You picked the fight with the wrong people. So I went on pat Robertson, CNN. They were letting me do interviews from jail. They would bring cameras up to the fence and let me do interviews or do them on the phone.

Latest thing they've got planned in D. C on Saturday and it's going to be set up. It's going to be a lot of people with mega hats that aren't trump people. I've been to several rallies and I can tell you trump people. Aren't the least bit, uh, anything to worry about, Um, any rate? Uh, next Friday, the 24. There's got to be something that there's no way that they're going to let this go by, and Trump has alluded to using a different calendar on which would be the Julian calendar, which was what we were used to. Until the Gregorian calendar. You being Catholic. They want to talk about sure, Gregory, I think 1500% It ain't right. That so and I am going to go out on a limb because of some other information that I've gotten. All right, go out on a limb. I do think it's going to happen in Dallas, Texas, the site of the right at the side of the Kennedy assassination. So anyway, That's my prediction. What's going to happen? You haven't said what's gonna in other words? I don't know if they're going to tell me something. First spell. Reverse spell. Reverse spell. "Today, Luke have a great weekend enjoy. The first weekend of the NFL will talk to you. Next Friday, Buddy. Think that go back. I think I'm gonna be at the Bears game in l A, uh nice, Luke. What? The stars. I know we wanted update on that $5 billion stadium this week, Okay? Yeah, I know. It looks nice. It looks great. Alright, buddy. Wow. My God. There's Looper. Gandhi from prop swap yet I want to go see what five bill can buy you, Mike. I mean, five billion for that stadium. Well, if you want to see what five what, not Spending five Bill can buy. You go to soldier field. That's all you have to do. I mean, my God. I mean, everybody's got these upgrades. I mean, Atlanta, for instance, they've had three stadiums like baseball stadiums. And we build one and we have everybody starts falling all over themselves. One in 80 years like like the new whatever it is that socks stadium now I mean, come on Guaranteed rate Guaranteed rate Guaranteed rates. 30 years old at this point. How old United Center now I want to say 94 was the 94 95 season. I mean, that's coming up on 30 year slow on building stadiums in this is the honest to God Truth, folks that stadium, the United Center. Will be going toward in 60 years. Well, not me, but dark grandchildren, and they'll be going, boy. This stadium is getting old and well, just keep going there. You know what I mean? Because it's the house that Jordan Bill bears need to build their own stadium so we could finally get a Super Bowl. Mike, it's as simple as that. You know what? I'll tell you what. I just don't believe that they're going to buy Arlington either. I don't know what's going to happen there. I just can't believe it. You know, I'm sure they've had opportunities before. Now. It's the best time. To try it. I know they've you know, they've reserved some surveys and stuff like that. That might be all for show. But there's no doubt if I don't get football team. Okay, the first knife I would pay for it myself if I could, Yeah. And next it it's simple. It's that put a dome in it, and that's it and then have shows all year round. Have a college football championship before. Have a Super Bowl the whole shape for it. It pays for itself. Look at Jerry Jones. I know best deal we ever made. And that stadium spectacular, of course, even that stadiums over a decade old now, But it was so state of the art and so cutting edge can't cook. I'll never forget he was on my On my show a couple times. Great guy. Wise guy. He says, Yeah. What are you a 55 mile where you talk too fast, You know stuff like that. He was one of the four bears. He brought his own stadium. For the Redskins back in the day. And when he owned the L, A kings visionary, baby. Oh, absolutely. We got more games to talk about NFL college. I mean, there's so much happening. We have a full weekend of NFL. There's even some interesting baseball stories and some big series this weekend. So Mike and I are cruising along lots to still talk about, including our best place before we're out of here, so don't go anywhere, folks. We're coming right back with more great gambling talking. "Of them were like man. Governor Nuisance done A great job. He's my guy like there wasn't that feeling right? There is no feeling like that anywhere, right? And so, um, yeah, I wonder people who listen to K F. I wanted me to ask you, Um you know, not a lot of people. I know you covered it with the woman in the gorilla, Mass throwing an egg at Larry Elder. I know you guys covered extensively, but there's a lot of other stations in LA ignored it. Why do you think that is I honestly don't know. I don't understand why that is. I mean, that was a ugly, racist, disgusting attack, And it should not be okay for anybody to have racial slurs hurled at them and literally have an egg hurled at them. And to have this woman attack the security guard for Larry Elder. I mean, that kind of stuff is Horrible, right. And we should all call it out. As a society. We should be open to having a, uh, you know a debate between each other, but that's not good. And by the way, maybe some politicians should also think twice about going to Venice. Yeah, that's true. Somebody goes to Venice. Whether it be Caitlyn Jenner or Eric Garcetti or Alice Vienna, Wavre. There's always incidents. I'm usually out there with them. I wasn't with Larry L. That's true particular one, but I've been with him a lot this week. And every time you go there, it just attracts this this sort of crazy and and that's another reminder that some of the policies that we have in place Aren't working when it comes to cleaning up Venice, that's for sure. Do you think again Alex Michaelson is with us tonight? 10 10 30 on channel 11. The issue is, but you think if it was the opposite. You think if I if some white guy in a gorilla outfit who was a Republican, threw an egg at a Democrat who happens to be you know African American or black? You think that would have gotten more coverage? 100%? Yes. Isn't that crazy? I think that's just true. And I think the media needs to look themselves in the mirror and, you know, have an honest conversation about why that is. I mean, I mean, look, I let I let for news cats with it, and I know tonight talking about the way that's the reason we have you on every Friday. You're the only guy who is really consistent out there on both sides. I mean, you called out not only the woman in the ape costume that through an egg Larry Elder, but also the kid that stole a, uh gay pride flag and threw it in the trash in some high school. You said both of those are hate crimes. Right? I mean, if if we believe in the concept of hate crimes, which Larry Elder, by the way doesn't really believe in, and I asked Larry Elder. Do you think this was a hate crime? And he said, Well, I don't It was a crime. I don't know if I believe in hate crimes. But if we are going to believe as a society and hate crime, both of those things are clearly hate crimes. Yes, you're 100%. You're correct. So we, you know, And so you should not be attacked in a classroom because you're gay. Just like you should not be at the end. You're racial slurs from somebody in a gorilla mask because you're black 100% correct, Not okay as a society and we should and liberals of all people should be the ones that should be standing up and saying that's not okay. Right. So all right. Who's on the show night? Larry Elder? Who else? Larry Elder, and then we also have John Myers, who is the Sacramento bureau chief for the L A Times, one of the top political reporters for decades in this state, was one of the people behind the new poll that just came out. It's kind of like the definitive poll really insightful guy and interesting conversation about where we go from here. Excellent. I'll be watching. Thank you very much. All right. Thank you, sir. Have a great weekend and envelope. We'll talk to you next Friday. Yeah. Joe Biden on Monday. By the way, how Believable. Be out there at that. Alright, Excellent. Alright. Talk to you later. I don't think I'm not sure I have enough confidence, Natch, I really looked. You know, Times Square's not for Ferris wheel. Well, yeah, well, Times Square changed back. And when you were, you know, all of those efforts to try to clean up times Square. Yeah, it was when you were in office that they finally started taking root. Yeah, I meant to tell you this so long ago. I know Time's running out. I'll do it quick. When you were running this town I There was one time I realized the difference. That policy could make. I was sitting it was outside with some buddies of mine. At a restaurant on the West side outside. It was one o'clock in the morning. And we saw like five or 678 single women walking down the streets with no fear. This was like the third year right into your membership before that. That was not a site that you would see in New York. I don't know because people were too scared. To come out of their houses, and especially women living alone. I would never let that I was on a date. You know, when I used to do that, I would never let I would never let a woman go home alone, right? My father told me you have to see you to the door. Make sure she gets inside that there was a reason there was a reason for that. Even when you didn't like you took a home gyms list where we going next gym. So if we had over to Park Slope this weekend tomorrow, Saturday, September 11th, they are having New York's only bicycle flea market. I thought this was kind of cool, um, you can find new or used bike accessories wheels. Who knows? I'm a little nervous that maybe you might find your stolen bike there. The wheel the wheel, But people find like interesting pieces. I saw they run about $50 an increase from there, but you might find something you were looking for. You never know. Um what happens if you buy and you don't have a bike? Um so well, I don't know. I don't know. It's it's you don't know so well. Okay. You have another interesting. What was that? Yes. So if you want to go to the New York Historical Society of this weekend, they are doing 9 11 installations. I thought this was really nice. They might have certain they're having candles and notes. And certain damage fire truck doors, Certain things from the scene on 9 11. Very sad, But I thought if you wanted to do something, you know to commemorate 9 11, That's something. Yeah. And then Brooklyn Bowl is back open this weekend, the first full weekend since the pandemic. They do a lot of concerts. It's in Williamsburg. A lot of fun. I thought it was bowling. Well, I know that's what it is now. Brooke of boat, so it's called Brooklyn Bowls. They do have bowling lanes, but they do a lot of concerts there as well. So I believe this weekend. It's full of concerts, so you might not have an open lane. I think it's just concerts this weekend, but they have great food. Great music. Do you have to have your papers? You do? They're going to check you out the door. You have to have your papers to have your papers ready? Henry Kissinger told me But when he was in Germany, you have to have your purpose. Uh, Jen, Thank you. Um, come on out and say hello will be there from six until seven. That's when our bucks coverage will start. Okay, guys, I was thinking. What do I get you to? Because I thought there's so many different ways to go and everybody's getting the traditional. You know that. Here's a tea kettle. Here's a coffee maker. Here's a I don't know, Uh Slow cooker. Here's a deep, not a deep fire. What is the popular things right now? Prior air fryer is your mike on? I don't hear. Well, it's interesting. You know, the producer of the show, and he is having trouble with the microphone. No. Um yes, I was trying to think. What could I get? What could I do for you guys? Um and then it hit me. Um It. I thought, what could I do? What? Can I get something that because remember to folks we've talked about this is your mike working now, try this. Don't know Is it is it This is working. This is yeah. Yeah, This is good. We're here. We're good. Now we got you. Okay. So that said I thought Look, you're you're a newly married couple and your new homeowners. And I remember there was something important that we recently talked. Alright, Rusty, haul it in. There's something that I can offer you to that, I think is a win win. It's maybe maybe not so much A a wedding gift as it is a a A housewarming gift. Here it is. I have presented for you. I have two bags. I have a bag of Malloy organized and a bag of E. Corgan night. Now, the reason Thank you, Rusty. The reason for this is that about a month ago we talked about Maynard's being threatened with a lawsuit by the Milwaukee metropolitan Sewage District because Maynard's has a product called E Corda Night, which If you look at the advertising, and now you can look at the advertising on the bag. It is virtually identical to the Malaga night. So you can really understand why the folks at MSD were not happy at all. Rusted doing a great van away by the way, Great. And your new homeowners? Yes. So it's I said, you're gonna get them all organized you now you've got a lot to work with. I do now I have some you do and what I would like you to. This could be another. What? The hill investigation. Okay, you take the bankable organized and you put it in one area of the lawn or in the garden. Then you take the bag of E Corgan. I you put it in another area of the lawn or the garden. And you can compare and contrast the effectiveness of both. This is perfect. This is exactly what we need. It is it is. It really is bringing it up. There's nothing you need right now. More than a bag of Malaga night. It's not purely manure, By the way, it's been sitting. We can't leave it in the studio along because if you think Jean Miller was upset when he had the smell of the rib sandwich the next morning just wait till he walks in tomorrow and goes. What was that? Oh, they had a couple of bags of mail organized the studio the night before. This is awesome. Thank you so much, sir. It's gonna be great. Tell me about Is he a gardener Staff? Where are you guys? With the gardening and the lawn situation at New House. New homeowners will have the yard is a garden. So we have decided, like the guard in his mind. And the yard is his. Oh, this is great. So I wonder. Do we do the front yard with one? Yeah, That's what I was thinking. We do left side right side kind of actually do front and back. In front one. Well, one of them may or may not ruin it. Which one may well, I don't think don't rule right? No, no, they sell it. It's not like what is a bag of poison selling like that study. Just a stronger smell of manure. This isn't a practical joke. I don't even know again. The story was that the folks at Menards are Well, look, by the way I look at that. Isn't that remarkably, the so ridiculous the house on the front, the image is almost the same house. Like it's just ridiculous, and it's a clear blue sky and the lawn looks great landscaping, and it's just and the spot and the words are the same. Identical. Oh, this is fantastic. I'm so excited to use this. I can tell Or else you're really faking it. Well, staff, you're a little underwhelmed at what's been presented to you. I'm not gonna lie. Well, my car may still have the seats down where the mulch used to be. So I think we can get this out of here pretty quick. You have to upset Jean Miller that something that's a very good point. Also, there's no way in heck, I'm hauling those two things around because let me tell you my car right now driving with the windows down for like the next 24 hours because I had them in my car. In like 87 degree temperatures sitting out and I realized big, big mistake. Well, look like I say it's a wedding gift slash Housewarming gift. And, um, a bag of Menard's love Menard's mill, organized and seek organized and now you can see if there really is a difference between the two problems. The same go two bags of fertilizer and one gift right? I like it. It's a lot of you know what? That's what I know all wrapped things up in just a minute. You're listening to WTMJ.

The doors are closed places that we used to frequent, Not open as you and I would come downtown every day and we see the L platform just nobody on it like a small town. One person we used to joke down its Toledo out there. It's just like downtown Toledo out there like you know it just and it was so sad because, he said, Well, if no one's working right then no one's coming downtown. We're starting to see a little bit more now, but that that's because now businesses are opening up restaurants, too, as I mentioned My wife and I did a lot of carry out because restaurants were now allowing you to sit down or there's only five or 10 people that are already in there, so we couldn't go. So a lot of the four and five star restaurants were carrying the doggy bag out, right, just like he did. And of course, they're taken out to you to your car. "I f 7 50 K l I f eel. It certainly gets your attention When Brad Barton stocks starts talking about near blizzard conditions. I couldn't believe what he said That word today as a blizzard. We're still in Texas hard way. Yeah, but he's talking about that because of the snow. We could get Sunday and Monday and I think the wind is the is the key. So let's check in with him. Joining us live with the very latest and sort of give us a timeline. Brad of what we can expect this weekend. Well, I'll do the best I can, and I just have to do full disclosure here. Forecasting snowfall in Texas. Is not really a science it Zen art way don't get to do it very often. So if I could bring in a stunt forecaster from let's say, Pennsylvania, you probably get a little more accurate. Then I've got right now, but the best we can do is we're expecting tomorrow. Some like freezing drizzle on then some snow flurries Saturday night into Sunday morning. There is a pretty significant storm system on the Oregon coast right now, and it's going to dig down through the Rockies. And it's going to be O eject through Mexico in West Texas, and we think that will start the snow falling. Probably, um, bring up satellite. You're just second. Just so got everything in front of me here anyway. Probably the snow will get little bit heavier Sunday night. And then what I'm not really liking is the fact that we could have heavy snow overnight from Midnight Monday to five o'clock Monday morning. And then everybody just jumps out of bed and thanks. They're just going to go to work and school normally and that's not gonna happen. If we get that kind of snow, you might have several inches of snow on the ground 3456 inches. So that's one thing. And then, as you mentioned, the temperature is going to be pretty bad to we're gonna have a low Monday morning of about 10 degrees, So the chance you might not even get your car started. For that matter. Winds are going to be north 15 to 25 to maybe 30 MPH and wind chills. They're going to be single digits and possibly below zero. That again is from Sunday night into Monday morning. A match when we expect to see 3 to 6 inches of snowfall in this area is going to be blowing. So be pretty impressive Monday. We think the snow will end. But because of the snow cover, we're looking at a high of only 16 and alone Monday night into Tuesday morning of six Still that that could be really tough on our infrastructure. We could have power plants freezing up because of the natural gas valve is we could have you know electricity failures, rolling blackouts, things like that. No, our cottage getting ready for record electricity demand. Now we get through Monday and then we have the low Tuesday morning of six and then Tuesday looks partly cloudy and cold with a high of 25. So far, so good, But there's a second potential snowstorm right on the heels of this one. We think it will be producing some snow near us by Tuesday night. There is possibility to snow could Mrs to the north of the Red River. But there is a possibility of the second snowstorm coming through Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, and that could also be 345 inches of snow. So this is a we probably won't get back above freezing until next next Friday or Saturday. All right. Wow. Back Now, It's gonna be a story to tell you. We missed. We mis probably the last 30 seconds up right up until you said, uh, you know, Wednesday or Tuesday and Wednesday and you're talking about more snow again. So All right. It Z gonna be a busy weekend for you. I know is you stick glue, Dear, your computer models and your radar and all that stuff, and I wouldn't mention that we'll try to be on the air often on through the weekend, and people can follow me at Brad Barton DFW on Twitter. And I will be, you know, putting out forecast updates, radar loops and things like that, as I can. Very good. That's Brad Barton DFW on. Don't try to be a hero by saying, You know, I know how to drive in a blizzard if you've never driven in one I think people who have driven and blizzards would never try to do it again given in a blizzard. Yeah. Then you won't do it again. No, I mean, I know how to drive in the snow because I grew up in it. But Yeah, Yeah, yeah, It's miserable. I mean, I went on the new doctor for one time. It's 20 Miles an hour the entire way. A trip that normally takes four hours. I think it took me seven or eight. It was crazy. Yeah. 7 55 right now.
