"Newstalk 11 30 W sn. Returning from the super spreader, the construction guru I just got back from Sturgis. So I had a couple couple weeks off here. I think we ran some reruns, but good to be back. I do want to tell you the hospitals were absolutely empty empty in Sturgis, Self, Dakota. So whatever you're hearing is obviously propaganda. Um, that's as political as I'm going to get today. So today I have a good a good guest and a good friend of mine. Who is Chris Wagner from Chris Ignore design and four season sun rooms. We work in concert together on projects and today we're going to talk about virtual design. Chris, Thanks for coming in. Thanks for having me. Good. Be here. It's always fun to have you on because you have that great sense of humor, and you have that uncanny ability to be able to Teach people how virtual design works. I think that okay, so one of the things that we're seeing out there Chris is a lot of companies are saying that they have designers and they have design work. Um, I'm seeing a big discrepancy between what people are calling virtual design. I mean, when you look at the stuff that's being put out there flat line drawings more of the Guess computer cad stuff. Not really What we're talking about when we talk about virtual design, you know, touch on a little bit of of how exact you can get with with the pictures, okay? You know, that's a very good point. Uh, you know, the term cad design has been around for a very long time. Um, computer Aided design is basically what it stands for, but Dad is, uh, is a process of really just using a computer to create lines and shapes. Um, which is is no different really than when we used to draw with a pencil on paper. It just allows you to At it and change those lines. Much quicker. Make changes without an eraser. Um, true three D design, which is what we do, um and kind of what I specialize in is literally creating a three dimensional model in the computer first. Of the project, so we're not just dealing in a literal line drawing. We're creating a three d version of the existing house that we're about to remodel. That's kind of our first step. What we call an as built we get that is Perfectly accurate so that the design for the RA model whether it's a kitchen or edition, or what have you if we know that the as built is correct, we know that the addition or the kitchen we designed, the cabinets are gonna fit and you know, floors are going to line up and everything else. Once that three d model is created, we can show the client literally in photo realistic views inside outside. Spin it around, Put you in a chair, looking out the window at your backyard. And really let them see exactly what things are going to look like. And the time spent. There is far less expensive than having it. You know, halfway framed and decide. I really don't like the fact that that windows right there What have you and have to make that change? You know, that goes a lot easier to move the mouse than it is to get out of saws, All right. And you know the The comments that I get from clients about the three deep design. I mean, I have heard when we pull out the first picture. Oh, my God. Okay, is this I've had people ask me. Is this a photograph of another project? So I think the things that come out of The virtual design when we when we sit down, and we talked to clients, ideas that they thought were going to be good or sometimes, Chi bashed right away because there's not enough room. It's a bad traffic pattern. A case in point I had a lady who wanted to put a dishwasher between an island on the Bank of cabinets. And when we did that, in the virtual design, we could open the dishwasher and show her that the traffic pattern was completely interrupted, which caused the whole redesign. Now, if that were in a line drawing It might have looked great, and they might have accepted it. And then at the end the word you have to use. There is compromise because once they sign off on the drawings, regardless of how detailed or un detailed they are, they're kind of stuck with that. Now, Chris, one of the one of the other things that I'm noticing out there, as I deal with more and more clients is that a lot of people are talking about virtual design, and they're not. It's not really what it is. It's It's more getting close and things like that with us. The Not only are the pictures that the the lines, the The way the light shine on the cabinets, everything I mean everything is is. It's amazing when we do the raytracing in the computer, which is where you take it from. We'll explain Raytracing. I'm allowed to do that. So Everybody watches H g T. V and you see it. I don't I don't watch and they use three D design all the time. But if you look at a lot of the the images that they're showing you It looks very I kind of call it almost cartoonish and what it really is. It's you know, it's the physical shapes of a Cabinet or what have you and kind of cool but right, And it certainly helps with the presenting the idea of how it's going to lay out. And what have you What we're dealing with is truly three D based design. Where, when we put a cabinet in or whatever, trim whatever it is The the materials are actually there also. So we have texture. We have wood grain we have. And as you say, that finish line exactly. We can adjust the properties of all of that mirrors with true reflections. Down to the details of literally lighting. Um we can literally control the light above the bathroom sink to be a 60 watt bulb or 121. Baldwin. This is what it's going to look like and and you know, and it's not necessary in all projects..

"Newstalk AM 11 30 sound off Welcome back to the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton show. We have former President Trump with us Still on the line, Mr President, a great honor to have you join us and thank you for staying with us. We have We have more. We've got to get into Go ahead. Infrastructure, sir. Something you know a heck of a lot about. Where are we here with the Republicans negotiating over this? Are they getting Fooled. Are they getting swindled by giving this a bipartisan cover in this recent Senate announcement that they had a deal? Looks like Biden was for it and against it, then Ford and Who knows? What do you make of all this with infrastructure? Well, it's the same people and they some are rhinos to the end degree, and they keep walking over there and they get Taken to the cleaners, and then they get used. And they say that we have a deal and then we don't have a deal because when they go back to the cab, all they say, uh, you got to be crazy to have made that deal. So Biden changed the deal a couple of times and You know, the Republicans are being used the Republican senators. Now some of the senators wouldn't do that. I know plenty of them. They're great, but they seem to be. They used their being used by the Democrats. They want to do. Make it sound bipartisan. But there's nothing bipartisan when you spend most of your infrastructure money on the green New Deal stuff, and that stuff is like throwing the money out the window and his cut it cause big problems in the future. How frustrating is it to you? Mr President? The 2017 tax cuts were really coming into full fruition. We had the best economy, lowest unemployment rates of all time. Now they're trying to take those away. And also we got 9.3 million jobs out there and people won't take those jobs. How frustrating is the economic decision making right now that you're seeing? Well, what they did with that payment as they made it so that nobody wants to work. And this is, you know not what our country is all about. Some states are rejecting it, as you know, some very good states very successful states because people can't get anybody to go to work. But if you look at the tax cuts we got that was the biggest tax cut in the history of our country. People love it. It made people want to work and people were doing great African Americans. Asian Americans, women, Everybody was said it was number one ever in history. And they now want to end that and you know what you're going to do, you're going to lose. A lot of you will lose companies to other countries. You know, they move. They're not very loyal or patriotic, most of them and if they get a better tax deal in Ireland or in Europe someplace or wherever they want to go, and they will. We brought it down to affect. It wasn't the lowest, but it was. It was low and for a large country, it was just about getting to that point and we were bringing in thousands of new companies and we were bringing it also the money that they couldn't get in. We were bringing in billions and billions of dollars of money that was locked out of our country, and it was pouring into the U. S. That's going to all go out with these companies that are going to leave and you just can't do what they're doing. What it is so destructive what they're doing, and the amazing thing is, we cut the tax rate, and yet we took in much more revenue. Much more revenue. And this place was booming. And then we got hit with Covid. And we did a great job with Covid. And we did a great job with the vaccine, but that obviously stopped it. But we created such a strong base. Such a strong foundation that we've come back. Now they might kill it again, if what you said, is so in Los Angeles, etcetera, etcetera. Look, you know, going back to the old days of all the masks and all of the things you know it's an amazing fact that people that stayed in their apartments Get worse than people that were outside. In other words, people that stayed home court covid. At a higher level. It's very strange. I don't someday you will explain to me how that one works, but because frankly, you would say that they would be on the right side of the issue, but people that stayed home Did not do as well as people that went out sort of interesting isn't that we're speaking to former President Donald Trump and Mr president got. I gotta ask you who in your mind that's still in office. Still on on the political scene, Uh, is getting it done for Conservatism and that is caring forward. The movement that you began the Make America Great again. Movement men who should we be looking to right now as continuing to carry on the torch? So I think you have some great people in the Senate. Some really great. I think Mitch is a terrible leader doesn't have a clue. But I think you have some great people in the Senate and people that could take over that leadership position to do really well, it wouldn't be used and you know, Schumer is just playing this guy. And that's not good. And in the house, you know, you know many of them. I hate to mention names because I could mention many and you leave somebody out. You have somebody that will never speak to you again. But in the house, you know you have guys Jim Jordan and a whole group. Banks, and I could name so many congressmen and women that are doing a fantastic job. I mean, you look at, uh, look at what happened in the impeachment hooks where they stuck together. You know the problem, Whether the, uh Republicans is that they don't Stick together. Good policy, but don't stick together Democrats horrible policy. But you don't see those negative, but you don't have Mitt Romney out there. You don't have a little Ben cess. You don't have these people that are so bad for the party. I mean, if they ran today have been SAS went back to Nebraska and ran today you'd be run out of office. Same thing with Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney would do terribly in Utah and and others. I mean, look, there are there's no reason to go into all of those names. But you have some wonderful senators, and you have some really incredible people in the house. Talking about senators. I know a friend of yours, Mr. President, Herschel Walker has been hinting that he might run for the Senate in Georgia. Should he run? Do you think he will? Well, he told me he's going to and he's and I think he will. I had dinner with him a week ago. He's a great guy. He's a He's a patriot, and he's a very loyal person. He's a very strong person. Uh, they love him in Georgia. I'll tell you he was the greatest running back in the history of the state. But he was, you know, one of the best in the history of the country. I mean, he in college, there was nobody like him. He went to the NFL. By the way. He has great records in the NFL. He He is a fantastic and they love them, so I think he'd win. I think it would be very, very hard to beat Herschel. I mean, they do They have the Balaj. They made ballads to her. Shall they sing them all the time? They still think so. I think beating him would be very tough. And I think he's going to run President Trump. What would you like to see The Republicans in Congress do so that they're in a good place going forward. What are some of the issues some of the main narratives that you want to see them holding up so that we can take back? I mean, we're not going to have a new president, at least on the You know, we're not gonna have a Republican president for Four years here, So we got to focus in on the midterm election, if if you are, and I know you are advising a lot of these people and working behind the scenes to help the Republican Party by actually taking back majorities, what would you want to see them do?.

Brittany Higgins Files Police Report on Parliament House Rape Claim

"Almost a not. Australia has been transfixed by the story of brittany hagans. The former political stuff who alleges she was raped in a minister's office inside parliament house more allegations against the same men have followed along with ongoing rounds of recriminations about how badly brittany higgins case was handled all giving rise to the clear impression that something is very wrong in parliament house on stephen smiling. And i'm angie lovelock and today on the signal the case that might just trigger some desperately needed reform women in australian politics. Okay so it's it's been a couple of weeks. Maybe you could take back to the moment when this story broke. Yes so it was the first monday of this sitting fortnight around eight o'clock the morning. This is clear armstrong. She's the national political reporter at the daily telegraph newspaper based in parliament. House in canberra. An article appeared on newstalk today written by a journalist code cement the maiden and she Published the allegations of brittany higgins question of where the parliament housing camera is a safe workplace for women is again in the headlines following allegations that a young government staff member was raped in minister's office in an interview with news dot com dot. Au higgins claimed. She felt forced to choose between reporting the assault to police or keeping her dream job. Britney alleges that she was raped by a maiocco lake in the office of now defense minister linda reynolds and The instant reaction i would say was one of complete and utter shock. This abject failure to provide a safe place of work here in parliament and in politics more. Broadly has got to come to an. I think there is. I called for problem inside this building. I've spoken about it many times. I think for far too long young. Women have copped the brunt of the culture in this place and it's time we cleaned it up often beak political scandal type stories us saved until the monday of a sitting week. Because of course you have all of the politicians in cambra unable to escape the issue which was pretty much exactly why that story was published when it was but then quite quickly became apparent that this was going to be a really huge issue. More than i think what people may be realized at that moment because of course she was also booked. This brittany was also booked to appear on the project that night and give a full kind of unfettered account of what she was alleging. And that's really how it kicked off really starting the week with the most possible drama. I think i've had since. I've been camera eighteen months. Welcome back to this special edition of the project tonight. Claims of ripe roadblocks to a police investigation and a young woman forced to choose between her career and the pursuit of justice. And it all happened right in the heart of our democracy as you said clear. It broke on the monday of the start of this session. But the details of britain higgins allegations relate to twenty nineteen. What does she say happened in. What happened back then when she first talked about it. Yeah absolutely so her. Her allegation dates back to sort of the friday. Saturday of of twenty dead of much in two thousand nineteen And brittany alleges that when she was out at a with colleagues drinking at one point The the man she alleges raped her. She says through the night he'd hurler drink. She realized she was quite drunk. Wanted to home. I notice that he was buying meal out of drinks. And i was just sort of job. Well done kind of broadly being rewarded in a weird way. So would you say you were drunk when you decided to go home obsolete. She says it was suggested that because they lived in the same direction. They should share cab when she was in that cab he said i've got to pick something up from parliament on the way i and she goes along with it ends up being signed dean to parliament. Neither of them have their passes. It's quite light after hours. They have to sign themselves. Will he. signs. Both of the men go into the office. She says she would feel well. She laid down and she alleges that she wake up with with demand on top of that i woke up mid ripe essentially. I don't know why i knew. He was almost finished. But i felt like it had been going on for a while or that. He was done. He was sweaty. I couldn't get him off of me at this point. I started crying fast. Forward to the the the start of the workweek she. She comes to work and immediately. The issue is initially traded as security breach because obviously Linda reynolds was defense industry minister at the time a lot of classified important information potentially in that office so she learns pretty quickly that the male stafa involved in these instant has already been had their employment terminated over these potential security breach and she's brought into a series of formal employment meetings to discuss. What is that time. Believed to be a security breach felt like a disciplinary meeting. It was we've been made aware of the events in that. You guys were here after hours. And you know that's not acceptable She of course then disclosed to her boss when reynolds what she alleged happened to her and that also then led her going to the afp.

"This is the metric album show on newstalk seven sixteen WJAR back here on the program as we head down the final half hour of this week and then we head into a holiday week next week right yeah remember that the lose track of that that's important for you with all the flowers gone off every night all right now a fire we we don't we don't ban those things again in Michigan if I if I gotta take a Kim brown thing we're going to come get nothing bandit gang on this what's a campground thing so the you know think about tearing down mine is I'm get a group of ten on the fireworks of tickets along with Gary Peters back get going right away Hey they cannot heaters is good I mean I didn't shy away from ending up by fired a bunch of stuff Adam that the you know any of this take on a good for him hello I was money they made off these for our number this it would be if they legalize it so we could I mean we we stop with the fire hello like frosting meanwhile fireworks shot off across the baseball nation as the sixteen game season has been announced it'll start in late July they'll actually as of July first supposed to start showing up for quote unquote spring training which will be done in people stadiums and individual teams stadiums JP Morosi MLB network and Fox Sports is on the line with us right now G. P. how you doing I'm doing well thanks for the conversation but manager today appreciate it very much will you and others be allowed to cover baseball that is a great question now Mitch I my understanding is that around thirty people in the press box total will be permitted there courses socially distant stand here into a lot of different guidelines now but the the larger question and to be totally honest because we're among friends here I I don't know if the role that I have had on broadcasts for the last several years as the field reporter what that will look like this year I I really don't know and that's and that's okay as as much as I would love to know what my job description will be for the season I realize there are more pressing things out there and and that answer will come to you when it comes but are they going to allow are they going to allow players to be interviewed well so that I'm not clear on that yet and and I'll say two things about that number one which we're still a month away from when that what actually happened and the circumstances could be very different by then positive negative we have no idea and I think the other part that I find interesting my colleagues at at Fox Sports to broadcast it at NASCAR races they have done interviews with drivers after races and they've done it requiring two people so the reporter would be standing with a mask on six feet away and then sixteen in the other direction of you imagine like a right triangle here there would be so the interview subjects six feet in front of me and off to my right six feet away from the driver would be the person holding the long boom microphone to get the answer so I wouldn't have to be close I'd be standing at a distance the interview happens and no one has to be standing side by side what about what about for print media or people who go into locker rooms I'm assuming the locker rooms are just going to be closed permanently right yes my my understanding on that message it is that we would have at least for this this year that I think you're right that we will we will not have the the locker room access as we've had in the past I think that we will see a lot of interviews happening over soon I think that that has been normal for us video conferencing technology broadly speaking but if you want to talk to Ron Gardenhire you could watch the game from home and then dial in to the to guard his postgame press conference and ask whatever questions you want but I think that in many cases it's gonna be a fascinating media conversation for whom doesn't even make sense to travel if you're not gonna be able to get a one on one interview which it appears you probably won't so of course the average fan doesn't care about the media element of what I wanted to ask because no one's really brought that up and it'll be interesting they say like home broadcasters won't even travel with the teams they'll they'll just watch the game on a monitor and broadcasted from home and then they can you know when the team is home the broadcast than they are now the way that this is going to work is that the Tigers let's use them as an example they're going to play basically Midwest teams right there there's no east coast trips and there's no west coast trips correct right this is like big ten baseball big ten baseball but also allowing for some non conference games and to use the big ten analogy so when they'll play inter league play it'll be teams like I suppose the Chicago Cubs or or something like that right Cincinnati Reds sixty game schedule forty games in division so you'll have ten each against your four other divisional foes so that's that's the the structure for the Tigers in terms of their their opponents and then the remaining twenty games will be divided among your NL central teams depending on how the math works out that there are some teams like the Yankees and Mets for example they'll play their natural rival a little more often but yes it is in principle those twenty games will be divided among those five opponents there in the house in your view J. P..

"Eleven on newstalk eleven thirty WISN we began to move yes it it's got all the moves here but he won't put himself on camera when it when when we come back so that I'm in charge of the board yeah see that's thank you you know he he he although what you're missing I'm telling you well go back to those words about this we are into the second half of the show and we've got next boss on the strong masters dot com and I just wanted to live I I wonder Billy Venturini we're gonna bring Billy I'll hear on to the air and I wonder if you ever seeing some of the dance moves that that marchers got delayed because he's got it going on here in the studio during the breaks but you know I'd have the chance thirty years I know Nick in there a long time so there's probably I I I can't remember the exact date but I know we've been through perhaps an adult establishments our system from work with that during the probably the well it's just a little bit less you know they could move closer is probably the oh wait oh nine banquet espy Terry Johnson's fault yes you get a relaxed and he's dancing with the stars ready talent there is a lottery but I hope you have a lot of I don't view people like that glad to have you back on the program we really enjoyed it we had you'd studio while ago before they put us all in house arrest but at forward to having you back again hopefully once they let us out but the vision so I'm I appreciate you coming on because obviously made a big announcement from NASCAR today and and you know there's that this is not a really good way to do this is not there this is new territory we've never been here before you know I think the announcement when I would doubt it you know I've kind of been down in a lot of different situations the support from groups to promote tracks it did series of whatever that I can kind of relate to different factions and saying bad we are all going to need a good night's sleep by the time this is all over with at the end of may but yet our kids not anywhere on that schedule and it was so my first question to you is what can you tell us about the artist series and we're that appears to be in this whole sort of rebooting process as we like to say because my computers are sponsored what we were supposed to be we were supposed to work on that Saturday which was the twenty third I believe yeah and there was just a little confusion I believe because of the printer there's I mean the governor's office and basically like that are there for scheduling and so then I know that it was just basically for last they wanted the first verse of Charlie these are back in North Carolina fifty R. the cook six hundred on Sunday then I know Monday I think it's six fifty cars go on that day in the capital one third of the lost the first though so we thought we would be able to better days of the week just by state regulations are none of our activities were even the star told the Sunday race with the coke six hundred so that that's what will happen is just more or less they are a little bit about the situation out there at the one five but the you know while working for a little bit of the Bristol or something else will soon and get this license for that I think there's a lot of animosity to others but will I highly yes Charlie this is the only other thing I got Jim that's interesting so we were supposed to have a race basically on what would have been the twenty third of may at Charlotte the day before the six hundred but the governor wants to do the first race back to be the six hundred the promoter in me could possibly understand that because you want to make a big deal at the biggest race you know NASCAR returning to North Carolina and all of that but that's unfortunate I will like to see dark in there so we're we're I will there aren't enough to live with you and everything they could to try to pull this off for us they have been great friends of the family and and obviously now that that's the longest you they've got even more invested in it but it was their objective and plant lost the race on Saturday it's just something that we're not gonna be able to control throughout all this and and some of the things we're gonna put hurdles we're gonna deal with the local government or state government and this is just the first case in which we'll deal with it so where is that we are good in terms of what do you foresee are perhaps as being the first race out of the box and when would that happen to non I'm not a hundred percent sure I don't come close to Bristol the phone we can I know there are his Houston arca regular our regular series has had raised a personal so maybe somehow we can get in on that then I know couple goes to the next races cut goes to I don't think we will be involved in it all and later in the month Poconos there I would say that so highly likely so if we could somehow get a number so and then now we get the Poconos Blair and then I would say we are probably looking at some shorter races into all not sure what status will be in Chicago all right that's a questionable one Michigan status I believe are is very questionable with everything that's going on there with their political government so Michigan and Chicago arts they're both huge questions at this point I just saw today I thought somewhere that said that Michigan was gonna start opening up now there been a change I don't know if that was accurate or not but perhaps that we might still be in play but you think that Bristol would be the next Cup race after the may twenty seventh Charlotte race is that what you're saying and maybe you guys would have a debate on that yet or haven't they've only through the twenty seven so okay I would I'd heard well they in order so we love salesman yeah what should we are I think at the end of December so will be the next one the settlement of the tender thank you I know that and probably even not just information I have but other companies and the told us that too so okay so that's where I got my bachelor's and will continue that's actually that fits with what they had said before that there would be a Bristol show in in this first run yeah because we're waiting for Virginia to open up so Martinsville is not in the question of the teams that want to travel very far right away so crystal would be a close you know because things so maybe maybe we get Saturday show her Friday show I don't know where where they're gonna put the Cup in but maybe the day before the day after we get to you guys a burst well over a three day a week and so slow credit report I can imagine and that's what I wanted to go next with the is I mean what is your feeling I I mean next kept us pretty up to date on what where you guys are as a team you seem to be prepared you kind of pre prepared very well what is your general feeling about where are the other rocket teams there is a group are are they ready to go back to they go back racing a bit better for everybody if if if NASCAR put him somewhere well we're all had the Pensacola double bridge so I'm assuming they can at least get to the next race right so very that's right we're loaded with cars going down the Pensacola Florida office is that it be that much because that's what we were looking at ready to meet no one even had a chance to crash their stuff down there I what we could DO the right plan for we're sure we're ready to live in a world where I'm I would no matter what they throw at us we'll be we'll we'll prepare for very well prepared for it seems like the consensus is that they want at least get all the national events in the is that correct I would say they want to get all the national aimed at all the stories to them but if you were to fight fires hi then I would say these are the premier series with the V. archer first first on the agenda followed by the R. M. not that the west is important because of what ordinals there is the battle for a whole bunch of people out there I just think they're going to have more condoms yeah big day out west so this is I'm probably I'm probably a little personal but I'm talking about then that because you know we're gonna go over to western hills around the normal and we're gonna go on scene at the end of the year I still foresee Phoenix probably being ready to go by the time we get them the the firm whatever the hell we have the first vote that's a normal race at the beginning if you have already diverse canceled that look good at all we're gonna step aside hang out bill it will pick you up on the other side of the break your.

"Is the guy Gordon show on newstalk seven sixteen WJAR to those of you who are hopeful will be able to start loosening some restrictions stay home now to better make the ads that were able to do that in ten days to those of you who want to get back to work as soon as possible stay home to those of you who made plans for June July or August and want to see them through please stay home what happens next depends on every single one of us governor in it in all due respect we've been doing that and now we are looking for more we are looking for the light at the end of the tunnel and we hope that it's a plan and if you just could have given us a little more court today on what that plan might look like how are you going to select the region's what process is you're gonna we heard it from the Senate GOP we've heard from the house GOP we prefer the bipartisan task force and yes each one of their plans is a little bit incomplete and I understand that you want to be methodical about this but I would urge you to take a look at the poll that was released today by the Michigan the Detroit regional chamber look at the young people ages eighteen to twenty nine forty two percent of them forty five percent of those thirty to thirty nine so four out of ten they're under the age of forty are either laid off or furloughed they're not working these are these are the ages where you have a young family and they're not working so I I I admire the fact that you're feeling dead sad as we all are for the for the family that lost the five year old child together Herbert but we need to look at the other side of the coin now we understand what we're facing here and that's why we're all trying to stay home that's why you're watching the curve flattening you know you know that and I know you know that let's get to phase two let's get to plan B. thirty seven percent of the fertile and laid off workers and again there in the young category have not been successful in filing for unemployment because the pipelines jammed up fifteen percent don't know if they've been successful here in the fifty two percent range now leader have nope they they just don't know they don't know whether they're going to get that check to come through and Laura and and Michael I am I'm trying to be fair and I'm probably trying too hard to be fair sometimes but it just seems to me that this was an opportunity to give us a little more M. I. A. mai asking too much I mean I think it at this point especially us who you know we have to sit here and listen to it every day you know you well it seems like there there's a lot of fluff in these you know I I think her main point was the cut we just played coming in and saying you know if you want this to end faster stay home if it which I think is something that we should have been communicated at the beginning of this whole thing but you know it it took her twenty two minutes to get to a point and I think we're a little more sensitive to because we listen to it every day but it's starting to feel like these pressures are just being done to to do that well and I have the same opinion of the trump pressures I mean it I just want to gouge my eyes out as a news person waiting for the news and it takes usually ten minutes to get to the past the back padding and the self congratulatory stuff in it there were there were some me here in terms of there were some good updates about the P. P. ET that was good that the curve does appear to be flattening and I would suggest in Wayne in Monroe what they call region to south it is him and it is flattening a lot in fact it looks like it's begun to decline the the rate of new case growth is way down from where it was how what state it's growing faster at the rate of growth is increasing so now how are you going to manage which of the are are the risk a lower risk areas because it is a moving target they will ask speaker of the house leadership feel about that I'm sure he was looking for some glimmers here of what other governors plan will be she did at one point talk about phasing in different sectors of the economy and she did we and that was the news that we have for you on Friday that she finally admitted that we can do this by region not one size fits all and this is how she suggested that we could do that cut twelve we do start to phase in sectors of our economy we will work around the clock to make sure that workplaces are taking steps to protect their workers and their families and their customers these steps include things like this is an example I'm not announcing something this is an example of things that we should be that we are looking out temperature tax checks limits on visitors frequent disinfecting and cleaning the use of gloves or face shields when necessary rapid testing at large workplaces.

"Good afternoon lucky this is the late afternoon show on newstalk eleven thirty W. Y. as I talk about a lot about how life is nothing but a matter of perspective there's nine thousand different ways you can say the same thing including it's easy to shoot off your mouth and something does that affect you that's another way of actually saying the same thing I've been trying to draw attention to how easy it is for some people who have government jobs guaranteed incomes to so cavalierly destroy the economic lives of other people by shutting down their businesses and taking away their jobs what they want habiting couple in their shot down real easy to do that way I had the consequences of your position don't affect you at all everybody's in a different situation but there are large groups that have certain things in common as an example people that are heavily invested with their personal life savings in the stock market I'm much more concerned about what's going on with the markets and somebody that doesn't have a penny of the stock market again that's stating the obvious but it makes it really easy for the person or does it have a penny of the stock market to be cavalier about what's happening to the savings the people work their entire lives it's real easy if you have a job that has been deemed essential you're allowed to work to say well yeah we ought to shut down such and such and so and so and this and that because they're not essential your paycheck comes in your job seems secure because maybe even more secure than ever because your essential and then have no empathy at all for people who are freaking out again this is all as they say a matter of perspective what's your perspective and what's your own personal situation for people who make policy decisions it seems to be that they've got to consider what is the greatest good of all but for most people they do major away it's just a matter of how we are you can say that's because we're selfish people is because that were and to our own survival or it simply could be as I say that life is a matter of perspective and when you don't have the same perspective as somebody else your view things differently what has struck me among a lot of things during this whole very short period of time that we dead in Culver died he'd paddock is how willing somebody people including government officials have bad to be so aggressive and so reckless with regard to the lives of others all by the way in the name of protecting people's lives life is a learning experience and we're learning a lot about ourselves of this it's been set for ever and now we know that it's true that the greatest violations of human rights the car when people say that they try to keep you safe I mean that's been said forever every day have a god that's ever come to power in any despotic nation we'll take extreme exact actions saying that it is necessary to protect the rest of us Heller at isolate the Jews because they were the evil force job if you can just go all the way through there's always a demand that's out there there's always something bad and you use that as an excuse to try to protect and save everybody else if you're in the group there is a defected and somebody else is targeted it's very easy to say what do I care or are we L. you know we really need to do this yes my reading this is a better perspective if you don't have a cell phone you don't give out you don't get a hold of just the way if you're worth a hundred and fifty billion dollars you don't get much of a hoot about it the other hand if you're sitting there right now you guys out that else to do when you got your phone in your hand and you've been laid off to work pretty good bet you're gonna text of the word I'm about to give you yeah this just it's a better get a perspective and it's very very easy and all areas of life but especially now we are making life altering potentially economy wrecking decisions and maybe decisions that might be protecting people's health again depending on your perspective I called that idea to not see things through I other than your old and did not see how something affects people if it doesn't have a direct impact I deal with that all being said time to give you the help pay your bills cash contest texted word for this hour is a word I don't understand top okay mark you should hold out well I could I have to go to work at public radio do you think they're all called over there now to where they are they just perpetually Cobb well that's a government operation you know they're probably not let anybody off over there what what does the other permanently sedated but I know but he but if you're sedated like even if you're sedated alliance chasing in the woods I'm guessing you're probably gonna get a little excited with just thank the life chasing yet of what's I hear that that's a cabin three people have I've never had that what have you ever had the light chasing your the wood street I've been I've been chase that's never been alive probably because I've never been in any kind of a juggle walking around but there was a lot it I don't believe I've seen allied anywhere other than as you were a parade I could think about that but why com shut up and be covered there she what I said called it doesn't sound call when I say commented on A. B. can you be so they've dealt top text added to two hundred two hundred instantly what a thousand dollars in cash you get a text probing intervals I heart radio involved Saturday message rates apply this nationwide contest that I'll have another word for a little bit after five a little bit after six or a little bit after hi I'm this white with regard to prospective we've got some very interesting financial news today and you heard some of that in our business report the stock market is moving sharply now every day this is common when you have you have when you have a market that's making significant moves it off it will be very very volatile and often when a stock market goes down there's a tremendous amount of volatility there's a turbine there they call it the dead cat bounce you ever heard that term these financial guys come up with these terms I mean I swear they just try to come up with the most obnoxious sounding things that they can add the dead cat bounce maybe that just even saw it that's all David Batty but say it does it you know what a dead cat bounces it's first of all let's start with the cats dead right it's like you drop a dead cat and apparently apologies I don't even understand what it is I've never seen a dead cat bounce you think it would just go splat the point is is that what it's a reference to is when some sort of investment is going way down it may have several days in which it goes up violently before resuming its downward trend for instance some people believe that the three days that we just went through last week at which the market was up twenty four percent in three days the largest three day movement history was a dead cat bounce it eventually all of those gains will be given back no one knows we're getting right now is days in which yesterday I think it was a market down nine hundred points to the Dow today it was up four hundred and sixty with a rally at the end of the day this happens when you've got people making huge swings of investments in out and so what generally these big institutions that are will be huge blocks of body and if there is disagreement about which way the market is moving as a way of putting that in perspective let's see the day let's use the Dow because that's the number most people follow the Dow's around twenty one thousand some points right now just just for yourself in fact because of a fun thing if you write it down and see if you're right or not Medidata days April the second the next six thousand point move in the Dow will be up or doubt in other words what's likely to happen first the Dow gets to twenty seven thousand of the dog gets the fifty eight I'm not here to give you the answer I'm just say and right out of **** it up put it away somewhere that April second you predicted that either the Dow would likely hit fifteen thousand first or twenty seven thousand first another reason you see this volatility at this stage of the market after the market took the big doubt would build it which you're getting these big up days a big a big down days is there is disagreement some people who manage these huge amounts about and there is some sense of day trading involved in this where go up one day and on the other but you have large institutions people that manage huge sums of body some of them look at this logically it makes a lot more sense to buy stocks when the Dow is twenty one that it was thirty in the same way that it makes a lot more sense if a car dealer was selling a car on Tuesday for sixty one thousand in the discounted rate of fifty six thousand if it's the same car it's a better deal today than it was but it was sixty watt said they would make the argument the look the market is down significantly at if you believe that over the long haul it will recover it makes a lot more sense to buy into the stock market now that wait for it to get right back up to where it was several weeks ago others are of the opinion that because of the economic forces that are going out as a result of the corona virus but I worked hard to be is heading into a long term shambles and that there is no way you can justify the valuations on some of these companies many of which will go under so they would argue that the market has a lot farther to go down I'd love to be able to tell yeah I knew the answer to that one I don't the younger you are the more aggressive you can be with regard with decision like that the less money you have invested the more aggressive you could be a decision like that let me again make a point and I'm trying to explain your perspective because I want people to understand that when you have some people who have an agenda saying something it may be without any regard for the personal agenda of others let's imagine you have a modest amount of money invested in the stock market so you know even when you say that six people would have different answers as to what a modest about a body would be if I said you had a modest amount of money what with that in your by B. I have a number in my my let's see if your numbers if I'm what would you say about it's about a body is but six hundred thank you no that's not bad is that what I was going to say fifteen thousand Paul said six hundred thousand is about is that no that's not a modest about does it modestly you're by no means small I well I think about is the small so I guess we have to clarify this that's a badge of about is a lot of money I was sick as some guy out there with about fifteen thousand dollars invested Paul was speaking to somebody of six hundred thousand all right to make it clear I'm talking about the person with fifteen thousand what what would you consider that to be minuscule or something or other in there fifteen fifteen is I think you're a candidate for a for a little around here you apparently have a nest egg that what but might be the dumbest thing you ever what's a modest amount I'll get all forty nine million who are you George Soros in there what's the matter with you let's imagine a purse fifty to fifteen thousand dollars invested in the in the stock market the greatest risk.

"Good afternoon show on newstalk eleven thirty W. I. us and first of all even though it is April fools day today we will not have any April fools jokes on my program I general dot I've done like two of them over the years I in general don't like it but I think nobody's in the mood for right now I just don't think anybody's in the mood for plus my shows on at three o'clock in the afternoon here probably have heard enough of the golf ball people on the radio already so what what why have the pilot well if I did want to be a good one but I'm just not going to do it and I I don't live with these things although you could probably what to think my claiming I'm not going to do what is it April fool's joke so therefore I could do it because the statement that I'm saying that I won't do what I could in fact be the joke there could be that see other just dorky it's a low form of humor is that it if you're going to do what it has to be something sort of creative almost out of a bar I don't remember what I did last year but it was pretty creative I think what about two years ago about over twenty years I don't remember what it was there is a good one about twenty five years ago the racing form said that they were going to start doing past performance is the coverage of kit would speed figures of camel races people believe it well I don't know but that is just policy yeah there's got to be a little bit of truth there while people fell for the put it on page one of the things that people thought there are this is what it's I thought that was a pretty good but because people actually did fall for it that's not even funny that's just obnoxious I'm not able to pass that want to see this is why that's the other thing humor should be left to the professionals like bay yup but people but they're better start getting their hand when you see what that is what people try to be funny when they call into the show and so I did every now and then somebody is funny but we discourage it because most people are not anyway let's start now with this the following is the impossible bot I wish it wasn't let's just imagine for a moment that the following was possible even though it is it that one state and not Alaska Hawaii one of the continental United States I made the decision that they were going to do nothing about the corona virus and they then somehow again this is impossible could somehow wall off the state so that no one could come in or leave so you would have a total control group environment that the only people that would be affected were those that were in when the edict was issued and the only one the end no one would be able to leave if you could somehow wall office stated bart and make it impossible for anyone to come in or come out and then do literally nothing bad no private gatherings no social distancing no restaurants bad no stores nothing and see how different their experience would be from the other forty nine states it would be instructive I'd also want to get myself I did you are covered for I want to go to that state before they close that off but I'd do my show for me they were just be able to move out of body do about even if I'm not even in my own state will route it actually do things we would also learn now some people are pointing out we should watch Sweden you know why that is what now Sweden is doing this may change right now Sweden is doing almost nothing themselves and people are you know you can key it's because Sweden is that you know it's it's up north and it's it's not a real densely populated country but it is rather similar to a couple of its neighbors in Norway and Finland some similarities that would be a place there to see how the virus would play out there in comparison to other places even the example that I sighed having a state as an example if the state was for example South Dakota not typical of the rest of the country the only state it would really be typical up would be maybe say North Dakota if somehow what South Dakota allowed anything goes we didn't allow anybody to come into North Dakota shut everything down you can compare the two we might actually learn whether or not any of the stuff that we're doing does any good so we learn from the future because we don't know what the reason we don't know is we've never done this before the entire world virtually is responding to this virus the same way with black Dowd's restrictions etcetera add we've never done this really before in human history sell whether or not it's working whether or not it's doing any good whether or not in the long run it saves that he lives whether it out of the log ride it flattens the curb we don't really know we once this thing is over we'll have really no way of knowing whether or not the measures that we talked made things better made things worse are made no difference because how would you know what would have been the opposite approach should merely be speculating stop what I described there's no way you could have a state that made it impossible for anyone I beats it's that there are some states that are putting in travel bans and somewhat but tried would force that entirely is either dead you know the only kind of state they could do it was a tiny space echo size state like Rhode Island or something where they don't have many miles of border and you could put cops out there on the farm fields and etcetera so you can't do it you couldn't accomplish it and plus no state is going to be ballsy enough to just say now what I could do anything you know let's party hearty come out here and happily have fun and have a blast that isn't going to happen it would be quite the experiment though to find out what would happen if somebody did it the UK held off for a little while it and then what he he says so we don't really half of Sweden's not perfect South Korea I am told has taken a rather it non restrictive approach as well that'll be a close one to watch maybe South Korea would be a better example to follow Dan Sweden because South Korea has a couple of very large densely populated areas that all's well what most people do about Correa's watching bass Aidid yes yet you know South Korea North Korea one country divided now into two countries South Korea has hills environment agriculture and huge ocean front you know water is C. scape and so on but also a major city of tremendous size and sold it a couple of medium sized cities and extremely urbanized modern country but also far merry a country so watching how the virus plays itself out there knowing that some countries nearby to South Korea had rather high rates of infection will be rather instructive but it's not going to be instructed until this thing is all data we can figure out what happened and what didn't happen all we have in the meantime our opinions and I have mine and I continue to insist that people evaluate their opinions every time new evidence comes in at one of the things that makes it really hard for a lot of people is most of us aren't used to thinking for ourselves we what experts to be able to tell us with certainty what's going to happen and the experts are all over the blasted map thank you for all Jews out there now talking about wouldn't forty thousand deaths in the United States of this there are those who think it'll be like ten thousand well so then you have people who don't know what they they should listen to who's right and who's right and of course the reason the experts have these problems he has and I have a little bit of knowledge in this area because I've been railing against the thing my entire life experts use of models I don't like models some people who bet on horses use models they have computer programs in which they feed all the information about the horse the jockey the distance of the race etcetera and they feed all it add the computer will then tell them how to better raise if that about it at all I think that's still but you'll also see some people who when they evaluate sports bottles bottles bottles data it is helpful and data offered will lead you to the correct piece of information the problem though what the model is there's a gold saying it's a really good one back to the settings but around even before we did data bottles garbage in garbage out if you've got bad data and bad assumptions it bad material and bad information and bad predictions that that's what you feed in the models just going to try it out bad answers so you end up with the public here looking to the experts tell us what to do tell us what to do tell us what to do tell us what to do tell us what to do tell us what to do okay the experts are all going to err on the side of covering their **** the let's just pick Dr Fauci the guy who's been running public health of the United States for eight hundred and fifty two years I think six presidents right he's a short guy shoots his mouth off Pustizzi said it is like you I I I had kind of a just like from the very beginning but that's because he's been around forever I guess like the money was running this robot but maybe I was okay with them for blush he was there for Clinton for Cryin out loud because been there forever anyway experts are going to err on the side of covering their **** if you're an expert and you say nine hundred thousand are going to die and it turns out to be six thousand two hundred the.

you to click on an attachment out of curiosity because it and say we have a video a naked video of the girl that you know or your friend's girlfriend all right don't fall for it I David in Nashville Tennessee hi there David thank you how are you doing today I'm good how are you good good pretty good thanks for taking my call long time listener I have a quick question okay I recently purchased some land and in the very early early stages of producing like a tiny house village it will have between yes it is but it's pretty neat I'm pretty excited about it that could have about seven to ten houses on a little over an acre and I was wondering the best way to get wifi to all of those houses from like a central location or is that even possible you know what that's a fabulous idea yes I'm pretty excited about it I mean once again early early stages of it but they're out make a go of it are you gonna have like a like a courtyard in the middle and like a picnic area and exactly yeah sort of reminiscent of like the motor court back in the day you know twenty thirty forty yeah that's what I have in my mind as far as what I want from it so yes some similar to that so and and now we have to make a high tech because anybody anybody wants to be home hide okay let me tell you about I'm gonna tell you that some technology that you're going to need to research okay okay because it's not like where I can say okay David go by this this this and this okay okay all right because it's spread over an acre and I assume that we don't want to dig a bunch of trenches lay a bunch of fiber you do anything like that there is internet access that you could provide using what's called a fixed point wireless have you ever heard of that I have not no ma'am six point wireless means as long as I have line of sight from point a to point B. that I can go ahead and beam that internet access through the air okay and it can go for miles and miles and miles oh well and so for example years ago for some reason I was in I lived in the center of Phoenix and for some reason **** cable was not on that street like why nobody can figure it out and so I had to fix point wireless but all across the city down to South Mountain from where I lived which was on a bird's-eye view it was probably about ten eleven miles okay so you're not gonna have any trouble doing fixed point wireless so what it does is it gives you full coverage without trenching and wiring and you can deploy your own broadband network it also is license free broadband wireless and because you're going to take advantage of the license for channels in the five gigahertz band okay okay all right hi and it's locked and secure it has eighty S. encryption proprietary protocols and the other thing that's perfect for you is that you're going to find products that are rated for outdoor deployments and so they are whether rate ready for you okay okay so it's it's fixed point wireless there is a company that I'd like you to check out I because I I looked at them myself called fluid mash ed will post a link to it over on our website but can you do me a favor as you figure this out could you call me back yeah definitely I would love to and keep me posted because I place because I think this is going to be the easiest ways you're basically you're going to get one big how can wind up band with company and the fast as you can get save it okay into the into one spot on this property and maybe chores okay and then you're going to then you're going to put up antennas your input of antenna where that work where that internet's coming in and then you're going to have almost like antennas as with many slash satellite dishes on each of the properties that's going to that's going to be able to get that but again it's a line of sight and so you know it so it's not gonna go any over any mountains it's not going to go through a whole bunch of trees and so that's why you wanna be able to put it up high but I'd say for your type of use it's really affordable and then there may be a profit center for you because if you're paying a hundred fifty dollars a month and you charge eight of these poke people say fifty seventy five dollars a month for their internet access they're gonna love it they're gonna love you and it's really a a really great idea and I wish you all the success in the world coming right back we're gonna talk about the best sites to watch movies for free but first let's talk about your home and I'm talking about simply safe you've heard me talk about simply save for many years and maybe you have a thought about the ways that you could you simply safe like for example of course you want to make sure that all your windows and doors are all locked down but you know my mom's house I put a sensor on her medicine cabinet why because a couple years ago somebody came in to do some work and they stole one of her prescriptions but now that's not even a possibility you got water sensors and you're getting a home security system used to mean a.

"On newstalk seven sixteen WJAR well Bernie use the word revolution when he gets to Michigan by by the way he says he's on his way here and and Michigan becomes extraordinarily important to him if you want to slow the Joe meant some of the latest really bad pun coming out of the the political pundits we turn to my oracle of Delphi bill Ballenger editor of the Ballenger report and Michigan politics good afternoon Sir good afternoon all right so your interpretation of what Democrats were saying they sent a pretty loudly the sun the moon and the stars must've fallen on Bernie Sanders and not in a good way I mean a week ago a week ago Bernie looked like he was on cruise control and Joe Biden look like road kill and today everything has turned around and I think you're absolutely right Bernie Sanders is working in Michigan right now is is the last best hope I think to right the ship and get back on course to possibly win the nomination but now it looks like he's the underdog so what will he do here what does he need to do here to to make this is fire while he won here against Hillary four years ago so we we he's got a track record he's gonna hit biting hard on nafta and other trade agreements the end and say that you know this guy's got the corporate backing that we all of the horror will that work in Michigan or is that now a tired message I wouldn't say it's tired now I think he can get some mileage out of that argument but he's going to be swimming upstream in a couple of other areas I mean Jennifer Grandhomme former Michigan governor just came out and endorsed Joe Biden and said Joe Biden was our hero our champion Washington and helped us get the auto bailout back in the financial crisis in two thousand eight two thousand nine and Bernie really was not a supporter of that he ordered it but he didn't hold up legislation that was essential to making it happen and Bernie is not necessarily the candidate who's most of Detroit at shifting positions and the ID tracking and trimming and coming up with new approaches when he's under siege he's kind of a Johnny one note candidates a very strong note he does a very forceful compelling message but it it doesn't really deviate it doesn't change and I don't know how he gets away from some of the criticism that he's going to get along the lines of what I just described and the fact that he doesn't do well in the African American community I don't know how we turn that around we know the turn out was the key to Hillary's defeat back in twenty sixteen and and watching turn out yesterday in Virginia suburban turnout especially was much higher than it had been but in six out of nine other states that we watched yesterday turnout was actually well below the two thousand eight record levels in was more like two thousand sixteen how big a concern is that for Democrats in charge team trump take some solace in that I don't think comparing it to two thousand eight is necessarily fair I think if the turnout in these early stages similar to two thousand sixteen or higher which I think it has been most of the time I think it's a pretty good sign for the Democrats I mean the turnout most of the time in most places in two thousand sixteen in presidential primaries was pretty high no it wasn't as high as it was in two thousand eight perhaps but still I think the turnout is been pretty good for the Democrats and the big problem for Bernie again as Michigan has a substantial African American population in the democratic primary maybe as much as okay is going to be black and that's the case and Bernie Sanders is doing as poorly among African Americans as he has and he's facing the candidate who gets the most support for the African American community Joe Biden I think he's in a world of hurt here in Michigan how much does Joe Biden improve his fortunes with the exit of Mike Bloomberg adding that Ellison for mantis Lee I mean I think Joe Biden was out automatically by the exit Pete blue jet engine Amy called Afshar that really help now he gets Mike Bloomberg out I mean I could go just when you get is because you get to Bloomberg's money though do you think Bloomberg will back I know I don't think Bloomberg is going to turn around of all I mean a yes he's got a back button these interest him I don't think he gives him an immediate cash infusion I don't know you could make a dramatic announcement that he's going to turn over his staff here in Michigan he's got sixty staff Mike Bloomberg does yeah you could give us a hand those over to Joe Biden is this last week that would be a major plus because Biden has had nothing going for me to get well he had listened with Biden just hit Bloomberg a lot of money right what is it yeah no I mean I I hear what you're saying I mean look I'm saying everything is going wrong to Bernie Sanders right now always gotten is bad news ever since Saturday especially in super Tuesday and now you have Mike Bloomberg does anything more than he's already done for Joe Biden India's Joe Biden's staff and money you know I'd beg to be recruited glass Bernie Sanders I think here in Michigan no question about it all right Mister Ballenger rolls a pleasure to talk with you you can check out bill's ideas and thoughts in the Ballenger report blog a Michigan politics thanks my friend three forty two am news talk seven sixty I promise we're "Have you heard about this jeff you have sasha baron cohen is he a comedian actor how would you describe him i guess a little bit of both he made the borat movies and he also was in talladega nights with will ferrell well he's getting attention because of his ability to land celebrity interviews and it's not just celebrity interviews with politicians and it's interesting because he's got a great ability to to land these interviews at otherwise you wouldn't think you'd be able to do it proves again the the current media environment in which some of these political figures are literally willing to to engage in what would otherwise be sit down said you wouldn't think they do but they are this is the same person that sarah palin he's been getting a lot of attention with vice president dick cheney sat down to do what they felt were real interviews with characters that sasha baron cohen plays and then of course they show the reaction on television this is going to premiere tonight on showtime what i'm here to say is getting these interviews you scratch your head and go how how would a vice president dick cheney or sarah palin or bernie sanders is another one i believe who sat down other media figures other politicians how can this happen it's not as hard as you think because i was able to do this on a much smaller scale but it was able to happen in the results were very interesting i'm going to share with you what those are next on how many years ago in a former life was able to land not vice president dick cheney but still get someone to do an interview even though i had no business doing that whatsoever i'll share with you that story next it's two forty five on newstalk eleven thirty wins then this is the dan connery show i'm dave michael sitting in for dan i'm dick powers with poetry in the diamond kitchen there's a carbonate smell charcoal is cooking it's going very well the diamond microwave is nuking up magic the money lost by people buying fabricated diamonds vow will be tragic from the vitamin kitchen there's a carbonate smell the gimmicks are half baked it's going very well two beers the world's largest diamond wholesaler is taking up mass fabrication of diamonds intentionally devaluing them unlike real natural gi certified diamonds fabricated diamonds bought today will be devalued with the inevitable.

Chris Pratt gives powerful speech about God's love at MTV Awards

"Talking about grace and how people fought for and died for grace this is something that chris pratt does and this is something that chris pratt should be proud of innate is amazing to me that hollywood continues to embrace him because you know what hollywood is all about you know that hollywood is all about liberalism you know that hollywood is all about anti conservatism you know the hollywood is all about hillary and certainly nothing there is no appreciation for republicans or president trump or anything that light of a stand for and so a lot of the things that pratt said the chris pratt said are absolute truths you know don't bully us your soul for good no matter what it is earned it i mean think about all of the liberal things that are out there today as far as tenants of liberalism certainly one of them is everybody gets a trophy right or i love what chris pratt said no matter what you do earn it not everyone gets a trophy the people who really work hard those are the ones that earn a trophy but it is amazing isn't it to to compare and contrast robert de niro's f donald trump to chris pratt and what he had to say at the music awards last night just amazing so he really should be proud and conservatives i think i should be proud because what he did last night when he walked out onto that stage and gave that motivational speech i would love to see more of that i don't think that i will but i would love to see more of that reason being is that there isn't enough motivation coming out of hollywood unless he's just motivation to spread as much bad will in bad horrific discourse is we possibly can that's what hollywood is all about so yeah i do apply to chris pratt because i think that this is a guy who absolutely had that opportunity one more time to say something positive andy unifying and think about that think about the applause that he earned talking about earning the applause that he earned when he mentioned god and when he talked about the fact that life is tough out there one of his overriding messages was life is tough out there in the real world so some of the things that you need to do respect the military respect god learn to pray you know we've seen studies over and over again about how the younger generation we're talking about kids that are coming up through high school heading into college thinking about everything that they deal with right now think about the fact that they're in fear of things like school shootings they're saddled with debt i if they're going through college they're saddled with debt they may or may not have a degree that will enable them to earn a bunch of money so that they can pay off that college that their parents have been divorced multiple times no wonder it is they don't necessarily want to get married and have kids themselves this is a younger generation frankly the mtv generation right now they are incredibly cynical as well they should be because of everything that they've grown up dealing with so kudos to chris pratt for his message to the younger generation my name is dan manderson for chris crock right here on newstalk eight twenty wbz ap rush is always right i keep trying to tell everybody this is completely manufactured political crisis that is surrounded by hysteria and it's being presented as a news story less limbaugh eleven to stock eight twenty wbz ap don i got a question for you have you been thinking that maybe you might need a change of pace maybe you want to learn something new or better yet how to defend yourself maybe it's time your family knows how to defend themselves for the best hands on helpful defense training go to.
