"Right now, we do have a little fog throughout the area and fifty four degrees. No, just saying this up things I was watching looking at the TV screen, and I'm sorry watching our video monitor them TV screens in NewsRadio business, and they were showing clips of penny Marshall and some of the heartfelt comments from her co stars and people like that. And I remember I read something yesterday that she was a big NBA fan. She loved basketball mazing and baseball because she did the baseball, right, right? When I was living in Sacramento and I had season tickets to the Sacramento Kings games. Carolina. I would go to the games every game every home game. And if they were playing the Lakers penny Marshall was there. Oh, yeah. She she followed that she she went with the team. It was like what's his name who's the other actor who is big nickel? Nick doesn't travel. He just won't does the home game. Yeah. I was saying here comes the Los Angeles Lakers. There's penny. Yeah. She was wonderful. She'll be missed seven seventeen KLIF. Well, the Trump administration has done it. They've moved to officially banned bump stocks. That's the devices that allow semi automatic weapons to fire rapidly like automatic firearms. That's what allowed a man to kill some nearly sixty people in Las Vegas. Clayton Neville joins us now with more. Good morning Clayton. Dave, Amy, good morning. That's right. This is something that President Trump Mitch after that Las Vegas massacre that killed nearly sixty people last year he had talked about possibly banning bump stocks have been announced yesterday that his administration is going to move forward with it, which means that it could be March before this thing officially takes effect because it has to officially go into the register that the ninety day period. It will no longer be legal to own or to buy a bump stock and anybody that currently owns one is being asked to either destroy it or turn it into forties. Now, that's something that's going to be very difficult to regulate in the federal government hasn't said how it plans on regulating bat, but most significantly around March you will not be able to own or by a bump stock any longer the US. So what if you have one? What are you supposed to do with it? You're supposed to either destroy it or turn it into authorities. That's what the president said yesterday. But again, the federal government didn't expand any further on that. So how that's going to be watched. We really don't know yet. All right Clinton. Thank you. Appreciate that. Update. There's KLIF's Clayton Neville. All right. Dan, drum roll, please. Do you have it ready? Pretty exciting stuff. We have great news about our show. Well, it depends on your perspective. I guess starting January seventh we're going to be expanding and beyond from five AM until nine. Actually, we're expanding on the thirty first of December. Right. It's kind of a soft start because you will be gone, and I I will be on New Year's Eve and New Year's day by myself, and it'll be a crappy show and nobody'll be listening. If that's true. But that's when that's when we'll expand to nine AM and. That's pushing Glenn Beck back one hour, but he'll still be along. Right after us from nine until noon now, that's not all. Yes. We're introducing a new show because Laura Ingraham's going to end her show at the end of the year. It's not like, we're. Booted out now. Podcast. I think but she is going to focus on our TV staff that she does for FOX and her other stuff. So we're going to introduce the Danish show with Dana lash, they lash is a conservative commentator, former member of the Democratic Party. She just had her fill and turned around and became a not only a Republican. But a very very strong conservatives. She works for for the NRA among other things, and she's talk show host. She's she's in Dallas. She lives in Dallas with her husband, and she's going to be doing her show here on KLIF from noon until two beginning January seven and then from two to four we're going to welcome Ben Shapiro. He has an all new show. He's been a podcast her for a number of years. Of course, he's editor in chief of the daily wire dot com. He's been a syndicated columnists. And she was seventeen I think he's only about thirty something Harvard Law School grad and a big up and comer young firebrand political activists. So he's going to. Have the show from two to four pm, and we're really excited about that. And Ernie Brennan will still be here from four to seven and then the Savage Nation will shift from the afternoons two seven pm to nine pm at nine pm jimbohannon. Yeah, that's a good show from nine until midnight. He's in around. He's been around a long time. The other just gotta you know, tweaking and twitching and making making KLIF better. I can say that even though they're extending us by an extra hour think. It's probably because they just want us to practice a little more. No. It's a vote of confidence. They love our show. They love what we do. Okay. So anyway that all starts officially January seventh, but you'll hear us an extra hour beginning on December thirty first. Yes, right now, there's this about a month ago. We were talking don't remember the conversation of why we were talking about Amy's laugh. When Amy laughs the whole world laugh. You know, it's it's it's a natural laugh. It's not like a put on. Of course, is the way I laugh, and I can't help it. You remind me a little bit of Ed Wynn who wins wonderful old vaudeville actor who went into movies. He was uncle something or other, and Mary Poppins he was started laughing and floating to the ceiling when he left tackle tackle what you do as a cackle. And I'll tell you the truth I'm going to say this honestly because he knows I love him. Tyler Cox who hired me at KLIF brought Amy over from WBZ put us together. And and our our our chemistry in a relationship worked really hard to find. And that's really hard to put together it's impossible to make. You can't make it happen. If you make on air, right? So we've been doing this for almost seven years but early on tighter confided in me, and I've known him for thirty thirty five years he confided in me that e cringes when he hears Amy laugh. I are you out of your mind. It's wonderful. It's contagious. It's hilarious. It's unique annoying. Yes. So did you change his mind? I didn't know this. No. But he never gave you a bad time display hurt didn't try to teach them to laugh differently. I would I so anyway, you can't teach someone to laugh differently Tyler retired of couple of years ago. Our new boss, Kevin. Likes Amy's, just fine. He likes you laugh, just fine. A good thing for us. I know some not changing so about a month ago. I promise I said we had you're laughing. And I said I need the bottle that I need to put that together and make a ring tone, tone a wakeup call for your smartphone. Oh my goodness. So this is what I receive via Email yesterday, and I played it. And I was cackling to my calculator. I put it on my phone and what me up at two forty five this morning. I forgot to tell my wife that I had done that. I forgot to tell her anything at all about it. This is what she and I heard at two forty five AM..
