Big news, Seattle Bureau chief Having a look at Microsoft and Wal Mart, submitting a joint bid for Tick took vying for it along with Oracle. Dina, Welcome to show this seems like a very odd couple. It is not. Perhaps his odd is it seems that the two companies accepting Microsoft and Wal Mart have you know several years of close relationship, which were allegedly forged over their cloud, a Microsoft cloud business and Wal Mart, you know, used to the cloud and over their mutual competition with Amazon, so they've actually worked together for a couple of years. I think the the other question the people we're trying to figure out and why would walmart or retailer be interested in Tic Tac 18 focused. Social media is the question That is the question. You know, the answer. It seems to a large extent has to do with the way that bite dance the Chinese owner of Tic Tacs, the way they're they're after used outside of the U. S, and particularly in China is also was a commerce plot for own form. Apart from watching videos, a lot of e commerce and transactions of driven through William. They're They're Chinese happens. There's some of their top ass in other countries. That's not the case in the U. S. But adding WalMart to this deal could enable WalMart to change that to have a U. S. Tic TAC, which is tied into Wal Mart, desire Teo to manage and Ronon and trigger transactions on that platform, and that we can actually I think we can see why Wal Mart would be interested. They've long had sort of Amazon envy, and this gets them a lot of younger potential buyers down the road. But what surprises me is you know Microsoft is not short of money. Why does it want Wal Mart? Or why would it except Wal Mart as part of the team? It suggests that there might be a political angle because we know that Oracle the other bidder has been close. Kevin else are the CEO has been close to the president. So does Wal Mart. Add something to Microsoft's bid that the Trump Administration likes it very well. May WalMart is really viewed as kind of an all American company. It does, sort of. I think bolster the appeal of the Microsoft bid the Microsoft has been going to, you know, several different versions of who, in the administration of Pro and against and in particular, Peter Navarro has been very critical of Microsoft has a buyer. He's extremely critical of how close Microsoft is. He feels to the Chinese government with, you know, a decent president in China in terms of software and research, and so this brings in, you know, a company with a real all American pedigree, a lot of jobs where you can make a payment that it's an American deal. I'm going to just interrupt because we've got some breaking news is from the Dow Jones needs work. It's suggesting that this Microsoft WalMart group is considered the front runner here for Tic Tac's U. S operations. But Ticktock, according to the dungeons Wise is asking for $30 billion hurts US operations. Do you make of it? Yeah. So analysts and bankers all along have pegged the value of the tic tac US business anywhere between 20 Billion and 50 billion earlier today, the raft reported that the oracle bid was around 20. And so you know, that feels like we're still talking in the same neighborhood. I think there's a bit of a horse race to figure out who the front runner is. Microsoft had been further along. They started earlier. As you mentioned before their people in the administration that favor Oracle. But that may have changed with WalMart dry joining the Microsoft bid, and so I think they're still probably a few more turns a screw to play out. We're waiting to see if a chick talking, you know, maybe give exclusivity to one of those two beds..

A look at cities seeing police budget cuts amid crime surges

"It's a turbulent time fall, the anti police protests turned violent and a wave of shootings in many big cities. It's just painful. His horrible New York City mayor Bill de Blasio, we've been put through hell in the city. Everything fell apart simultaneously because the Corona virus there's about 400 more shootings this year in New York, compared to this time last year with atleast five people killed over the weekend, A number of gun arrests have been going up steadily over the last month. The NYPD is working more deeply with community members and leaders. They will turn this time. Other cities have also seen a spike in murders and shootings, including Chicago, which also had riots and looting. Alderman Raymond Lopez told Fox the fear is spreading. The anxiety is spreading, and we're seeing individuals who used to see the downtown areas like the crown jewel of our city. Now wanting to leave. Now, all that unrest has more people arming themselves. Gun sales soared 145% in June 135% last month, the firm's small arms analytics and forecasting foot sales of two million Meaning Americans have bought more firearms so far this year than all of 2019, and that makes sense to John Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center. And one night Portland had head over 69 11 calls that the police had ignored. He also has a book, gun control myths. How politicians the media and botched studies of twisted facts on gun control. You have across the country police being ordered to stand down. You have cuts and police budgets and place like New York. You've had the whole department inside the police department disbanded. You know, at the same time you look across the country and their jails and prisons, and they're releasing large number of prisoners in Los Angeles and San Francisco. You've had about 50% of inmates and jails being released. That's not uncommon. Those money Jails and prisons across country which have had between a third and half of their inmates being released. So it's not surprising that we have this concern for people's safety. We're not normal times will deal with the krone virus that you mentioned. There were already many cases where police departments were ordered not to respond to calls. And now, with riots and police being overwhelmed. That's gotten even worse. And the it's important that people do. The safest course of action is to be able to go and protect themselves and heavy a gun turns out to be the safest course of action, particularly for two groups of people, the most vulnerable people in our society. People who are relatively weaker physically women and the elderly on people who are most likely victims of violent crime. Overwhelmingly poor blacks who live in high crime, urban areas, a lot of these gun control laws, specifically poor minorities and even many times middle income minorities. From being able to go and get guns to protect themselves, And there's no reason why you should have that type of discriminatory lawn effect. When you're dealing with the rise in gun sails there. People have already said there are too many guns. I mean in Chicago. That's what has been talked about. There's too many illegal guns out on the streets, so adding more guns, which obviously are legal. How does that solve the problem, right. But the problem is that you have drug gangs and criminals with guns, not enough law abiding citizens with guns and the problem that you have to deal with with gun control laws as if they primarily disarm law abiding citizens relative to criminals. Look, the major source of illegal guns are drug dealers. Uh, drug dealers have lots of guns because they have very valuable property. It's not like a drug dealer. Khun, Go to the police and say Look, this other dealer Stoller drugs. Can you help us get them back? They have to go and set up their own little militaries in order Protect that property. You know, if you think, ah, you're going to be any more successful and getting criminals, stopping them from getting guns than you've been able to stop them from buying illegal drugs. You know good luck with that. But You know, I give you a simple example. Every place in the world that's banned either. All guns for all handguns has seen an increase in murders. But at the same time, John There are people who are from other countries because it shake their head at the number of mass shootings that we have in the United States. We have far more of these mass shooting events than another well what other mass shootings are similar to what we've had in the last 10 years in the US, I mean, France, for example, has a per capita rate of fatalities from mass public shootings. That's 50% 111% higher than the rate. States. They they have events like we had in Las Vegas or in these schools have people know about the New Zealand mosque shooting last year, But do you know that within less than 24 hours of that there was a big school shooting in Brazil, or there was a mass public shooting that occurred in the Netherlands thes things just don't get news coverage and when they do They're usually in the back of newspapers. Way recently completed a study where we looked at all the mass public shootings in the world. They using the FBI definition of mass public shootings were four more people are killed in a public place not involving some other type of crime, like robbery, or, you know a gang fight over drug turf to get it exactly the type of case that you were talking about, like the Las Vegas shooting and the Nine states made about 1% of the world's shooters. Um, even though we make up almost 5% of the world population, and many of these countries have extremely strict gun control ofthe France. ER has, um uh, you know, band semiautomatic guns here we are. Jonathan Democratic Convention this week, and gun control will certainly be an issue brought up. If Joe Biden war to win, and if Democrats were to control Congress, would you expect a renewed push for stronger gun control in 2021? I think the future of private ownership of guns is more steak now in this election that we've ever had in any past election if they get rid of the filibuster. If you have 50 votes in the Senate, a CZ well as Kamala Harris to go on, break a tie. You're going to be able to pass. You know anything they want to pass on. One can just read the Democratic platform draft to see how they're talking about everything from licensing of registration of guns to banning Large segments of semiautomatic guns to make it more costly in many other ways, for people to be alone guns to having lawsuits against gun makers and gun sellers whenever their guns are used in the commission of a crime or used improperly an accident.

"Lehrer on WNYC. According to stats, I saw this week Yemeni Americans own about half the eleven thousand or so data's or convenience stores in New York City. So it is something not nothing when their trade association decides to boycott something they sell every day to make a living the New York Post, as you may already know it's because of the posts spooning twin towers fund page last week, which came in response to one line taken out of context spoken by congresswoman Ilhan Oma in a speech that came about a week after the Christchurch New Zealand massacre at two mosques their own play the clip because you're going to hear the full clip in context. And then we'll talk about the few words that the New York Post stuck out that Republican congressman took out the Trump took out, but this was on much twenty-third in LA at the banquet of the council. Of American Islamic relations or care. Was founded after nine eleven. Because they recognize that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties. So she's making the point that after nine eleven which was perpetrated by individuals all of us. Muslims were starting to lose a civil liberties she said. The word some people did something were pulled out of that and use to make it seem like she was minimizing was somehow nodding and winking support to the terrorist attack of September eleventh two thousand one now the group care it was actually founded in nineteen ninety four. You know, well before nine eleven so her statement was incorrect in that detail just for the record, but they became much more active after the nine eleven attacks. And again that speech was delivered in the context of it being eight days after the mosque shooting in Christchurch church. New zealand. The blowback is what you know with a congressman and then the post and then Trump so in response to the posts cover the mini American merchants association organized a boycott convenience stores or Bodega 's owned by EMI's those who participate will not sell copies of the post. We'll see for how long joining me. Now, our two guests, Dr Debbie el-montasser co founder and secretary of the board of directors for the American merchants association and Yussef no bars director of public relations, both here with us to talk about what they're hoping to gain from the boycott, Dr Al Natasha, welcome back and Yousef welcome to. WNYC? Thank you. Thank you. Ryan so Yousef. Why did you decide to boycott of the post is the best way forward? I mean for years the post has been attacking Muslims and Vilnai's ING us with their with their coverage on, you know, anti-muslim stories, and it's basically a tabloid. I mean. Our merchants have been boycotting the New York Post through for years. Now, it's about time we finish the job and get rid of it completely. You're saying a lot of the Bodega is in New York that are owned by Yemeni Americans already refuse to sell the post because of their depictions of Muslims. Yes. Yes. Dr Al Montassir. Do you want to give us a little more context on that? If you have it. Sure. Absolutely. You know, Brian. We were absolutely outraged by the cover of the New York Post and the ways that they portrayed Representative Ohio, Omar, you know, for me as a mother a first responder on to see the burning twin towers adjust outrage me as a New Yorker who is here on nine eleven whose son was deployed on nine eleven and served for six months on as a first responder at ground zero. This is a desecration to his service and the service of other American Muslims who are actually nine eleven responding. And also our American Muslim, you know, men and women in the armed forces who are serving our country on to had second attack on congresswoman Ilhan, Omar, I've well is our community and we sell finish activity that it was. Time to take action and don't use. It had mentioned that there are many who are not carrying the paper. We are engaging you hundred so far who've already stocks, and if you look at our Facebook page, you will see the various pictures of stores that are showing the empty spot of the New York Post and this time around as an organization that has close to six thousand Bodega deli than even restaurants part of our membership. We are doing a full fledged boycott of this paper, and it's not gonna stop there. Bryan. We are now engaging the Bengali community that actually has the small kiosks and stuff way station and wanting to engage them into joining us. And so this hot is a thirty day boycott giving the New York Post the opportunity to come out with an apology. Too. Ill hunt, Omar the American Muslim community. Actually communities of color who've been victimized by the post over the last few decades. And so we are waiting to hear from them. And I'm happy to light us to share with you our demand. So I have been Debbie mentioned as we demand. A public apology to congresswoman Ilhan, Omar, the Muslim Americans and minorities who have been persistently victimized by the New York Post propaganda spreads nothing, but hate and fear on the streets of New York City and across this country. We demand the firing of New York Post editor in chief. Stephen Lynch who has demonstrated a clear viciousness and intent to spread racism and hysteria that leads the violence against their communities, especially in times like this whereas Lama phobias that its highest we demand more responsible and nuance reporting that takes racism and Islam phobia into professional consideration. We want accountability for sensationalist stories and undermine national unity and incite violence and hate against minority communities, the sole purpose of circulation and sales. And we demand that elected officials government officials stopped giving the New York Post any public Pat platforms to spread hate and racism in. This most multicultural city and across the nation at large listeners, we want to hear your voices on this segment. Yemeni Americans will get first priority for the segment if we have any other Yemeni Bodega owners listening, are you participating in this boycott how much money are you going to lose by not showing New York Post or maybe even not selling the New York Post as you yourself was describing his already fairly common in the American Bodega or convenience store owning public or anyone else. Also, welcome to one two four three three WNYC two one two four three three nine six nine two for Debbie almond, tasha and Yussef no buzz here representing the Yemeni American merchants association. So. Let me push back in a couple of ways, Dr tasha. Could Representative Omar. Have chosen her words more carefully. Do you wanna kinda put your arm around and say, look, if you're going to talk about nine eleven even if you're making the point that you don't support nine eleven that everybody doesn't support nine eleven is being tagged as if they did which I understand was the context of that clip. That's why we played the whole clip. But if you're going to say, some people did something at least say some people did something terrible. You know, Brian the point that you raise is important, and what's important about it is that they'll Hine was giving a speech, and it was her words were taken out of context. And if you listen to the entire speech, she goes on to talk further about this and addition to that, she is one of the congressional leaders that is actually a co-sponsor una bills for nine eleven families to get benefits, which you know, has been very contentious on a federal level to try to get more funding to the families here in New York. And so I think it's really critical to understand that what is happening here is that the New York Post as well as the Asana phobia industry as well as the GOP, they're looking to take down Ilhan, Omar. And this is a proven record that may go. Oh after people on their Muslims who are extra signed the air leadership expanding it, and let's take for instance, my own story ride. You remember I was on your show for the very reasons of the New York Post and a concerted effort by the in the coalition who worked tirelessly to make the mayor and the chancellor of the city of New York to force me out of my position as the founding and former principal of the Khalil Gibran internationally kademi. And so we see this. There is a running record of this. And I can prove you because I just recently published a book called leading while my son, which chronicles the stories of fourteen American Muslim beaters in public education who have experience far more serious situations. Then I have one woman in particular was put under. So much duress by the microaggressions and anti-muslim abuse achieve getting from her employer that she felt ill and turn wife now has to deal with seizures and take medication to to hold her together from having seizures. So we see this every time that an American Muslim advises, and is actually vocal and is actually engage in society that they want to go after them. And so I urge you and the listeners to understand that this is a concerted effort to take down congressman Ilhan Oman. And it's because she sits on the foreign affairs. Committee as well. As had been, you know, vocal on many issues that people care about. So I think it's really important to have this context and understand what congresswoman Ilhan Omar is up against and most importantly, what is happening from all of this fine. Is her life is in danger. She is getting death threats. Speaker Pelosi just spoke yesterday about ensuring that there is going to be round the clock security for her what kind of life is this that she has to live in sheer her and her family. I you know, when I was attacked by the near coast and the stop the metric pollution. I also got death threats, and I also have to have security by the New York City department of education. So people need to factor in the dangerous situation that they are putting American Muslims who are exercising expanding their leadership who no different than any other American and use of ah pushback question for you on on the idea of the boycott and calling for the editor to resign. Some people will say, they're, you know, we have a first amendment in the United States for a reason. The speech might be offensive to you to me too many people, but the remedy is not to try to silence. The news organization that has a different point of view and try to pressure. It's editor to step down. What would you say in response to that we fully support free speech, but not when it's targeted towards inciting violence to a group of Americans in this country. I mean, that's clearly what it's doing a it's trying to act shock value and sell newspapers. It's basically a tabloid today. It's not any Sakaba. Yeah. Let me daily news tabloid. They were other tabloids. That's what that's not a good enough reason. Right. But you're saying you see it as actually going so far as to incite. Violence. Yes. With a front page like that with the burning twin tell us. Yeah. I mean. Those images just bring up such terrible memories for everybody including American Muslims. I mean. Your to see Debbie said Ilan, Omar is getting death threats just because our leader the leader of this country is also using these same shocking images. They're not there to spread any news or value. It's there too. Hurt American Muslims up in the Bronx. You're on WNYC high Abdulah. Yeah. I used to one of the. None of my friends. So I know the folks the British Hughes to say when the conquered the world that does one place it can conquer Gemini, kind of people like sleeping with other men's much. So these top bunch of people I grew memento not to method guns because you wanna go Silverstein who said building had to be building number seven came out in control, militia form and the NFL Aumont. He should not be taking the blame for that. So someone things. Two inside job abroad won't number seven. Number seven. Thank you very much. See got those those those are the I guess, that's you know, if you go on certain kinds of right-wing radio you're going to hear that one. Not some people did something even who are Muslim. It was an inside job. So we got a little case to that. It is really unfortunate that you know, I can tell you from my own sons experience serving at ground zero for six months, what has life had been like he is suffering with mental illness..

"In New Zealand mosques last week, the suspect released a document called the great replacement. The first sentence was it's the birth rates. He repeated it three times if the fray, it's if the phrase about replacement sounded familiar, perhaps that was because it echoed what white supremacists bearing Tiki torches shouted in Charlottesville in two thousand seventeen will not replace us. Good people on both sides, the slogan of the Neo Nazi group identity Europa behind the ideas racist conspiracy theory known as the replacement therapy which was popularized by right wing, French philosopher, an extension of colonialists theory, it is predicated on the notion that white women are not having enough children and the falling birth rates will lead the white people around the world being replaced by non whites. So. Well, it's not true. And it's not true. So.

"The New Zealand mosque attacks on Friday, which left fifty dead. President Trump downplayed the rise of white nationalism around the world calling it a small group of people. But the data says, otherwise in fact, according to the Anti-Defamation League white supremacist propaganda efforts. Have nearly tripled since Trump has been in office and the southern poverty Law Center reported more hate groups in the United States last year than at any point in the last two decades with the Justice department reporting of seventeen percent increase in hate crimes in two seventeen. Are Trump's denials of these trends, undercutting US counterterrorism efforts. Well to help us understand all this, and sort it out we welcome Faisal Patel. She is co director of the liberty and national security program at the Brennan center for Justice at NYU and welcome to the program, Faisal Patel. Back be here. Glad to have you here. And let's begin by talking about the president's role in this because there was a lot of tweeting over the weekend by the president tweeting about John McCain about Saturday Night Live about judge Janine on Fox News. But nothing about New Zealand, although he did in the White House did put out statements about this being a a active hate and being absolutely disgraceful act. But the question is how much is the president's denial of white supremacy in this and saying that it's really just a small band of people apparently undercutting counterterrorism. Well, I don't think it's just the president. I think what one of the things that we've seen over the last decade and a half is that our law enforcement and intelligence agency has been focused on one track. Which is obviously the serious threat coming from groups like al-qaeda, and I said that as a result they developed a blind spot when it comes to far right wing terrorism, which includes a range of groups from Neo Nazis to white supremacists. To anti-government groups here at home, and that's set has been treated as sort of isolated incidents as opposed to being treated as something systematic that requires a systematic sponsor, well, the administration says it's open to addressing far-right violence, in fact, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, said we're open to suggestions. We are all ears on this. Your group has come up with some specific suggestions, can you? Give us a brief outline of what you've put forward. Sure. So one of the things that we think is critical is for the federal government to start counting incidence of far-right violence. So right now what happens is that the department of Justice publishes, miss of international terrorism. That's a category that it puts violence by you know, individuals who they assume are inspired by outside our ISIS. So that's, you know, both people who are actually operationally length. But also people who go on the internet and read something and think of a good ideology, and it might lead them to violence those statistics are out there. But when it comes to right lane while and that is just not counted by the federal government. So the very first thing that they need to do is to get a handle on the scope of this problem. Now there are, you know, a number of research affects that do this kind of that. And crunching and data shows is that. Violence from far, right? Has results in almost the same number of big holidays as you see from al-qaeda ISIS violence. So we have a sense that this number is actually quite large. So we don't have a definitive data set that we can look at it and say, okay, this is the scope of the problem get back if I may though to to President Trump's roll in all this because the manifesto of the shooter in New Zealand actually said that he was gave him the props. I guess for being part of white identity movement and common purpose. And here's the president said responding to criticism. He's been. Let me let me actually read this. It's on Twitter responded to the New Zealand criticism. Earlier today said the fake news media is working overtime to blame me for the horrible attack in New Zealand. They will have to work very hard to prove that one so ridiculous. But there's certainly been a good deal of criticism that the president needs to be seen for his words as well as his actions tied to New Zealand. What do you say? Well, absolutely. I mean, I think that at this point concerns about far-right violence have reached a tipping point. You know, we have seen so many of these incidents again, and again where minority communities whether they're jus whether they're six whether they're Muslims are being targeted offense faces of worship and and killed in large numbers because by individuals who are espousing white supremacist ideology. So this is obviously a big problem. And it's really important for all levels of the administration to recognize there's an obviously that starts with the president. I guess I'm just being realistic. And. Well, maybe the bigger problem is the internet itself, which has been weaponized by these groups in which has certainly added a great deal to their ability to actually organize and get the word out to all kinds of people who who for whatever reason may identify with them. But chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney, actually, defended President Trump's rhetoric just yesterday. Here's Fox News. Chris Wallace asking him about it to the degree that there is an issue with white supremacist, white nationalist, anti Muslim bigotry in this country. And there is an issue with that why not deliver a speech condemning the president's stand up for religious liberty, individual liberty. The president is not a white supremacist and not sure many times we have to say that. Well, the president may not be a white supremacist as Mick Mulvaney says things, but he said, he's a nationalist. And just how much again does this really feed the problem Faiza Patel? I think that everybody recognizes that what leaders say have a huge, it has a huge impact. Tacked on individuals. Right. And so by refusing to condemn these kinds of attacks really strongly and refusing to recognize that we do have a broader problem with people committing violence based on these kinds of ideologies. I think the president says give that give soccer to the people who are going forward and doing this. I mean, I think it's always difficult to say, oh, well, you know, he's responsible for New Zealand. I mean, not in a direct sense that he has certainly enabled and encouraged people who believe that minority communities and minorities are invaders who should be cleansed from western countries. So that's I think that's to both in work. And indeed, right? Remember, this is the president who, you know, put in place, a Muslim bad who has called for a border wall going to extreme lengths in order to declare a national emergency that nobody believes really this is fun. His his fantasy of there. He's the one who's constantly calling immigrants invaders who's calling rapist. So these things are a combination. I think of both the policy and the rhetoric that goes along with it. We're talking with Patel. She co director liberty and national security program at the Brennan center for Justice NYU, Trump administration has downplayed the rise of white nationalism following the New Zealand attacks. What are your thoughts? And really if you'd like to join this conversation, and weigh in we welcome your involvement in.

We'll get to the what's happening over at Fox News channel is sickening. Frankly, I've watched and Franken I have discussed this over the years as Rupert Murdoch quietly pulls himself away from the Fox News channel and turns it over to his sons, and the and liberal wives. We're seeing their footprint and imprint footprint on judge Janin's neck. But the imprint of the leftism is now all over the channel you can really count. The number of true conservatives on one hand at FOX. And of course, they're injecting their beliefs and opinions all over the place on Saturday night when you were tuning in to watch judge Janine lo and behold, it was some Ted Kennedy scandalous thing. Judge to name was off the air CNN is reporting. The judge Janine has been suspended for two weeks by FOX FOX doesn't even have the gumption to say what the heck is going on with judge Janine. Here's their statement. We're not commenting on internal scheduling matters. So they FOX spokesperson that's really leveling with your viewers. The president has jumped into the fray saying bring back a judge Janine Pierro. And went on to say for FOX must stay strong and fight back with vigor, stop working, so hard. I'm being politically, correct. Which will only bring you down and continue to fight for our country, the losers all want would you have don't give it to them. We strong and prosper. Be weakened die. Stay true to the people that got you there. Keep fighting for Tucker fight hard for judge Janine. Your competitors are jealous. They all watch. What you've got number one. Don't hand it to them on a silver platter. They can't beat you. You can only beat your cells. Now, you might remember a couple of weeks ago. Judge Janine said about Ilan Omar regarding the Muslim congresswoman the following quote. Think about this. She's not getting this anti Israel sentiment doctrine from the democrat party. So if it's not rooted in the party where she getting it from think about it, Omar wears a job, which according to the Koran thirty three fifty nine tells women to cover so they won't get molested Izard hearings to this doctrine indicative of here. The sharia law which in itself is a federal the United States. Constitution, and of quote, and a lot of people defending judging ain't saying well, say anything terrible. Again, she said something that we've been asking for a long long time sharia law compatible to the west we believe it is not she said her on her show. And of course, that is deemed to be politically incorrect. And so it looks like judge Nin we don't know whether it's temporary Frank or whether it's permanent whether she's been yanked off the air. Not. I think what she was doing making a connection that the way the women a woman in this case dresses. Has in in many cases a lot and she was asking the question like form to. In many cases, you can identify that person as being a, you know, a strict adhere to sharia law because that's what sharia law calls for. Right. And I think tree law we pointed out in the past and it's been debated on this show along among others. We just had a guest on the last two weeks on the sharia law component. But we have noticed that FOX. Now, they are standing by their stood by Sean Hannity. They did stand by Tucker Carlson on this particular case, I think foreign judge Janine. Onto the bus. So we shall see also over the weekend. The president tweeted that he was not real happy with Leland bittered and Arthur Neville couple of the weekend anchors acting saying Where'd you get your training at CNN and you look at the weekend the weekends. Whether it's Jillian Turner who by we worked for Obama. And and others just they have a plethora of anchors who seem to be. Modelling their their approach after Shepard Smith. I well, I wasn't gonna say Shepard Smith in this particular case, I think Leland visitors. I I've watched him over the past few weekends. And it seems to me that he is pattering himself. All Mike Wallis curse words swallow. Yeah. Yeah. Now walk. There's no question. They're a bunch of lives at Fox News, gentlemen. There are a bunch of conservatives. I mean, they have more balanced than any of the other networks, but it does it is maddening when you know, you probably don't know who your audience is. Maybe you're trying to move beyond that audience, but you're going to do it at the peril of others because it's just gonna open up when I look at it. You can really name the conservatives over at FOX on one hand, you've got Sean Hannity, you gotta talk a Carlson. Laura Ingram, you have Jesse waters. Pete hegseth is a strong conservative. I would even say I've watched Harris Faulkner for a long time. She is a very strong conservative. Although she does try to play fair on on both sides of the occasion on both sides of the equation roller should say, so there are some conservatives there. And then there's some folks who lean conservative like Dana Perino and a few others, but there's some never-trumpers there too. And they're all over the place at at FOX. But I just think that look judge Janine she clarified what she meant. After FOX condemned her statement, she invited Ilan Omar on the air to debate and discuss the issues important to America. But instead not have been that have been great television. Instead, again, the the weenies at FOX now who are basically running scared after the Roger Ailes and Bill O'Reilly and Eric Bolling controversies they've been sued memory, Andrea. What was the name tarantulas as Russ used to call her ten taros, remember her and Andrea taros and the rest of the lawsuits all just running scared. Judge Janine doesn't get a lot of media coverage. So I would predict that this is all going to be beneficial to her because more and more people want to tune in to see what she has to say next and the president began Sunday morning venting about Saturday Night Live. He tweeted out because the shows parodying him constantly said, quote, it's truly incredible. That shows like Saudi Night Live. Not funny. No talent can spend all of their time knocking the same person me over and over without so much of a mentioned on the other side is advertisement without consequences. Same with the late night shows, and he suggested maybe federal regulators should investigate Saturday Night Live. That's just getting get.
