"It just all of the problems they had coming out of last year and into this year reared their ugly head against FC Dallas. And so I don't know that these are the moves that solve them. And they can not sign players from outside of MLS after this window closes. So the work you're putting in right now, you wonder if that's the best place to focus and put your resources. Speaking of, and this could be, I don't know, I haven't been scouting grasshoppers. I don't know about so I'm blue wings in South Korean youth national team prospects, but Tom boebert says administered an editor in advanced talks to sign zheng seng bin from wolf Hampton on a permanent deal. He's 20 years old to be a U 22 signing. They definitely need more in the attack. I don't know if this is going to be what sort of solves their post or maybe post reynoso woes. They're back in action this weekend though after winning in the opening week and they're hosting the New York Red Bulls. So check that one out. 8 30 p.m. eastern on MLS season pass. All right, let's get into the mailbox. Oh, wow, wow, I didn't put this in, but Anders did. Troy O one Kenobi hit us up and said, two games in and see if Montreal is definitely a candidate for the spoon, is there anything I can take solace in this year? Is it just grow the kids and hopefully we'll be good two to three seasons from now. Montreal is at Nashville and honey mukhtar. I hope we'll start. He played 45. At Nashville? Yeah, they're at Nashville. So three away games to start the year. I assume this is because they don't want to play at the big O in the weather in Montreal. Yeah, I would guess. By the way, that's your one reason you shouldn't be so worried. It's hard to win away in MLS. They have not played. A home game, they also don't have Joel waterman, who is a massive part of what should be a strength for them, which is their backline.

"New York Red Bulls, left back. I will add he is a left back. Why is that important? Why is it left back important? Can you tell me? No. You need people there. You need bodies. You don't trust Anthony Robinson. That's exactly right. You don't have an Anthony Robinson. He's 20 years old, two straight seasons where he's a very good contributor for the New York Red Bulls. He's got big clubs around him and they're looking Belgium. Obviously the sister team, the Red Bull teams in Europe. This is a player that I can come in, compete, and could potentially be a player for the future, but it's just you don't have those bodies. He's got a very good left foot. Oh, by the way, our good Friends are good friends at the CIS football observatory of just named him the most promising left back in the world. What can you do 22? Are you 21 level? I don't know who they are. I like it if I were going to quote him here on Facebook. 'cause it really is about Anthony Robinson and the lack of depth at the left back position. So let me tell you this real quick. When we did our special our depth chart looking ahead to 2026, the one bit of feedback that was the most consistent in terms of players left out, John Tolkien. I got a lot of that on social media. People really wanted to see him in that best hairdo and Major League Soccer if you know you know. All right, so what else do you want to see in this list on Wednesday? Oh man, I actually, we interviewed him in MLS media day. Jack mclin, I very much enjoyed interviewing this kid. U 20 prospect

Because inter Miami, they have spent big on one end of the field in terms of getting really good talent in there in pozuelo and can he do something else in the postseason for a different team and intern at Miami and yet New York City FC about the repeat. That's the big storyline and can they go again, albeit under new management. Montreal and Orlando was interesting. Montreal be terrible to go out in the first round to Orlando, but our land or a tricky site and they could make that happen. And I think everybody who's watched the league this season wants to see Austin keep rolling, they're a team that's like real fun to watch. They should get over rail saw Lake, that would be my gut feeling, but I'm not convinced by that either. And also the New York Red Bulls. There they are, the different less flashy Red Bulls over the last few years, as they've been, what are they going to do? Because yeah, there's a lot of fans and supporters curious. Can they take any more playoff heartbreak? I'm not sure they can. I will echo a little bit of what you said about NYCFC. I got to say, man, we knew they had a great team defending champs, but they dealt with a lot of adversity this season. Props to them on still finding their way to third in the east. It could a spiral, you know, losing their manager, losing their best player, just like the comedown of having won a title last season and just like the pressure of trying to repeat on that. You know, the disappointment of the country have Champions League. There were a lot of twists. There were a lot of terms where this could have gone the wrong way for them. And, you know, obviously, look, they would have probably wanted to finish higher than third. Like their expectations were greater than that, but they dealt with a lot of stuff and to still have found themselves in that position. I think they should be feeling good about the season they had. I don't know if everyone agrees with that, but that's how I see it. And also I want to say out west that Nashville LA galaxy matchup is beautiful to me. All right, our time for the good bad nug Lee Moore MLS Caleb Porter upset after Columbus blew a two zero lead late against Montreal over the weekend. The good ear though is Montreal. They clinch a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference they also hurt said a franchise record for points. Who said rebrands can't work. That's right. Club record win 16 points 53 and gold scored. Oh, Nancy's doing a ridiculous job here. Listen to the next four games. I'm gonna say there's four games left, okay? Barry and winnable games for Montreal. Chicago home, New England away, D.C. The revs have dropped 29 points from winning positions this year, her, most in Major League Soccer they did it again this weekend blowing a one zero lead and losing two one to the New York Red Bulls. That's insane to me, especially where this team was last year, 73 points in a calendar year by far the best team in the regular season Major League Soccer. To this, Bruce arena, by the way, has only missed MLS playoffs once. That was just a 2008 after taking over for the LA galaxy with the LA galaxy. "I'm going to go ask the Dallas. I'm going to go FC Dallas here. And here's why. The old expression tells us, right? Defense wins championships. Out of everybody in the west, outside of LAFC. The team that gives up the fewest goals is FC Dallas, okay? So I think right there, they have a big edge. Not only are they good defensively, they are much better hook than Austin defensively, who shipped three this weekend, three last weekend, and two weeks before that ship four against the New York Red Bulls, right? You gotta be defensively sound herc when it comes to the playoffs. Plus, let's not pretend like FC Dallas doesn't have firepower, right? We got a riola, we got velasco, and we got Jesus Ferrero who had a brace over the weekend and I think is now up to 14 goals on the season. You don't give FC Dallas and he love you really think defenses is that little of a priority come playoff time. No, I just think there are two seasons. There's a regular season, and then there's playoffs. And I've seen FC Dallas in the playoffs throughout their history. It's not a team like trust. Nicolas de you may have changed things. Paul areola, this is feda, everything that Sebastian legit now, who, by the way, backed a couple assists. This weekend, it could be a different team. Sure, but a sale smells like Seattle sounders a bounce them in the playoffs. Okay. Okay, okay. Interesting that you mentioned that. I will note neither of us neither of us picked the LA galaxy as the biggest threat to LA. So let's get to the bad and it is in the Pacific Northwest, where the aforementioned

"Of Sacramento, republic. So who are they gonna get? In the U.S. open Cup final. This game actually was played earlier in the evening yesterday, Orlando city, and the New York Red Bulls picked this one up in first half stoppage time. Lewis Morgan, from a tight angle. Gonna put the New York Red Bulls on top. Remember outside of supporter shields. This team has never won a major trophy going all the way back to the metro stars days. Is this the moment? Well, they look like it for a moment there. But just before the half Orlando strikes back. With the goal off the corner kick. I say set pieces. Always a difference maker. Difference maker there. One one at the hat. Second minute of the second half. Mauricio pereda. Putting Orlando city up two to one. Tight. Tight finish there from the number ten, 62nd minute. It says again. "All these games available on ESPN+ two Canadian championship games coming up on Wednesday night. We already mentioned it Toronto Montreal and then Vancouver are hosting York united for a chance at the Canadian championship final and then we've got three games in open cup action all coming up on Wednesday night. The biggest one. New York Red Bulls hosting NYCFC at Red Bull arena at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. Michael, we're talking about the top two teams in the Eastern Conference. We're talking about rivals. We're talking about two of the most distinct but clear identities on the field in Major League Soccer and we could be talking about a potential future Eastern Conference playoff game. This is a knockout game. One off at RBA, what's the difference makers for these two teams? I think typically this point in open cup play, you start to find out what teams priorities are. Which teams are focused on the open cup and those teams that do focus on the open cup and want to win it at all costs. We'll put out the strongest teams. And teams that are more focused on the league will be out of the mixed team. When you look at their schedules ahead to the weekend, both teams have pivotal games. And Red Bull are going to LAFC in a marquee matchup coastal matchup. NYCFC, though, play the Philadelphia union. So I think that's the first thing you look at is which lineups do they put out? In terms of form, Red Bull getting a much needed win to nil win at home. And it came at the right time after a surprise loss that they had at Charlotte. This Red Bull team, the press, high press has been part of their DNA for gosh, it seems like forever now. And sometimes in the summer, especially when it's hot, it wears on you, and it's good to see them get back in the win column ahead of this game because they're going to need all the confidence against an NYCFC team that is getting hot at the right time. Didn't get the win, but they've been a team. Really, I think the hottest team in Major League Soccer in the last two months since coming out of Comcast Champions League. So I really see this as a battle of who not just gets the first goal, but consecutive goals will win this game. We had John Tolkien, otherwise known as J mi on MLS today for a long interview. We talked about this game. We talked about a lot of other things going on around the Red Bull. So go check that one out. If you have time, search MLS three on Spotify or any.

"I wish I knew the BC fight song right now. Just every time that this goes just to go straight into that piece. It goes all the way. You know, he's the captain. He is the heart and soul of this union side. And both teams are so direct north and south that a lot of it's going to have to come down to the midfield second balls, the transition game and Alejandro Padua is vital for the union in those instances. As far as just even picking up guys and character and the crunching tackles, they need that from Alejandro Padua. He's their leader. Both emotionally and you know, on the field as far as guiding players, making sure you're holding players accountable. I think in this matchup, it's going to be massive. You know, him versus the New York Red Bulls, basically, and I think that's the player to watch in this match. He got Dave. Who's your protagonist for this one? I'm gonna go to the Red Bull side and say Kate and Clark. He was the bright spot for them early in the season. Then he gets the appendectomy. He has, you know, it takes time to get back. The Red Bulls have improved immensely while he's working his way back. From what we saw at the U 20 level over the last week and a half at the revelations cup for the U.S. U 20s, he looks like himself again. He's taking guys quickly off his first touch. He's cutting guys. He's aggressive. He's playing north to south. That looks like the player that the Red Bulls need. And the Red Bulls were one of, they were a top two defensive team in the league. They won every game one zero to close out the regular season and make the playoffs. They need that goal scoring. They need that little bit of a crown jewel like Charlie talked about with Padua. Like I think Montero can be for Philly and if Red Bulls get this done, it's gonna be kayden Clark. By the way, I have for the Red Bulls. They just looked at the results on them. They have one game of more than two goals scored since mid September. That's in about 11 games over that time. So goal scoring is going to be an absolute premium for them. Where does the difference come from? I think the union have some of the same issues, though they don't have quite the same deficiencies as far as the last ten games and goals. They've scored more over that time. They've also had two games against Cincinnati and which I scored two goals in those games. So take that or leave it. But to me, again, we beat cheat time. Two players and shibel. Both those guys have the potential. We talked about star power and how it can make the difference and you go to Robbie Keane. You're like, go every game for him. You think about raul Rudy as he's in that same boat. There are teams in these playoffs that can count on their number 9 to finish one of the three or four chances they get in a match. I don't know that either of these teams can count on their number 9 to do that. It could happen and if it does, they'll probably win and move on. But I don't think either of these guys has double digits this year. Maybe I'm wrong. If I'm wrong, Shah Bill goes right at ten or cumulus right at ten. I think they're both just 12..

Soccer: Predictions for Tops Leagues
"All right. I have five predictions that I would put any money on going through them. Number one, arson van Gurley, managing Real Madrid. By the end of the. Season. I love it that amazing. That was a disaster. The Lou Libre thing was a death disaster from when it started their underlying numbers really bad, doesn't seem like he's gonna last. Their vendor has talked about Real Madrid in the past. You know, who else are they gonna hire at this point. So count on that number two. Get ready for the red bull treble as I'm calling it with New York, red bulls, winning the MLS Rb Leipzig who I'm considering part of red bull, even though the club does not like to be called red bull winning the Bundesliga. And Rb Salzburg, winning Europa league. I love that one too. I know I have. I don't have the best reputation for, you know, actually carrying out the bets. But if that happens, Mike Nye or going to one shot, a tall can rebel live on air. I cannot wait for that. I'll I'll say eulogies. Number three, less surprising. Frankie diong and I ex will make a run to the Champions League, semi finals. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, I XE champions. Are they even gonna get out of their their first in their group right now tied Byron. Wow. Okay. Semi-final they've got Totic guys. Legend. Number four. This one pains me Manchester City's gonna win the Premier League Champions League, double the seer. Bets. That's verse jinx shit. I learned from the best put the bay. From the top. City, wait till man, city wins the double not a trouble or could Rupel. I just don't think they're gonna care enough about fake up. Fair point. They are defending care about Cup champions though. Maybe they get the Jack Trevor treble with the character. Treble whomever had the FA Cup Europe or UEFA Cup and Carling Cup shrivel. That was dope. Number five, the soft treble number five. My most most bold.
