Yes, there will be there Big Pride Parade, which is one of the biggest in southeast instead of having the bigger part right there. Doing a every week has a theme this week is art and culture and what they're doing is on Saturday. Um, they're having an event at it's called the Factory. It's like a multi huge space multistage, multi state and all different kinds of, um Of art and dance and music and performances and everything to do a Juneteenth celebration and there somewhere about you know, kind of black culture, and the warehouse district of Saint Pete is a little north of downtown. What it sounds like we're going to warehouses, but they turned those warehouses into single art spaces, and it's a very cool place. And, uh, tickets are five bucks on Eventbrite. It's 3 to 10 on, uh Saturday, which is 19 and at the factory in South maybe was last week. The family weekend for Cynthia. How did that go? Do you hear anything is that was I did hear a lot of things, You know, That's kind of you know, one of the trends that sense of kind of making paying attention to like Now, the gay marriage is legal, uh, the adoption that a lot of in the LGBT committed with trying to focus on the fact that And it was called. We are family, you know, trying to make a attention to that, Uh, there's there's families as supporting families and they had technique in the park. And there was stuff at the pier and it was very well attended. And, uh it's interesting to keep taking a different You know? Yeah. Instead of the you know, the drag queens marching on a parade. They're trying to use each different aspect of the community and I send this one is the arts and entertainment culture. I thought that was smart what they did last week, and I figured it was going to be, uh, a big attraction and you mentioned Juneteenth a moment ago, and there's actually a couple of different Juneteenth events happening around Tampa Bay. Oh, there are a ton of them. Juneteenth. Um, she was, uh, it's a celebration of the end of slavery, which actually had had the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed with two years earlier three years earlier, but it took that long to finally reached last. Um, um You know, community of slaves in Texas, and I was June 19th and an extra. I think I just read that busy working with Congress is that maybe our next new national holiday a lot of movement towards that. Yeah. So, um, we have several issues from in Clearwater on Saturday from noon to six at the more eventful hall, which is on us 19. There's going to be a family friendly festival bounce houses, art music spoken word dances. There's gonna be commemoration and Tampa's Park Plaza Street there. Um, it's called the Best Richardson Africa Diaspora Museum in books, and it's going to have live music but also spoken word poetry book sales. That's where it's 10 to 4. Saturday Business Expo in an area called the Deuces in ST Pete. It's Where 22nd Evidence 27 2nd Street, um, at the big kind of the heart of the fact of the black community of Oh, hey, Petersburg, and this is our way of supporting black businesses have all set up and kind of buy from there as well. They also learn who and where they are, And then they're going to be a market on West Lie Avenue. Reporter Sharon Win Our weekend events preview the other big event happening this weekend, Of course, Father's day, and there's all kinds of different fathers day specials. Yeah. I mean, I was like we mentioned they choose one of these local attractions offer free or reduced admission for Dad's, um, on Sunday, so it kind of spend some time with the dad. The James Museum is in peace now. Now only Plant museum. Do you have to show a dad passport to to get into proof of Dad? I guess that's a good point. I don't have different security test but does getting free with a paid admission of somebody else. So you bring you bring your dad. You pay admission, But then he gets interested. Well, that's out. This was a cool $15 mission for Dad's a weekend at the ST Petersburg Automotive Museum of Don't. Don't I had not heard of this place before it's in the Gateway center applied the area, which is kind of like between. Us 19 and kinda like forestry area and is a huge space. Very wealthy guy had something like 80 antique cars also 19 twenties and thirties. And they are beautiful. It's like $12 admission for regulars coming under free, But Dad's going to just five blocks on Saturday and Sunday, and it's a really cool and I need my outing this weekend with my data that I think he's going to love that. So and then the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary. They did something for Maybe something for Mother's Day, and now they're doing it again for Father's Day, right against again for fathers When the rest of the family pays. Dad gets country and they're doing both Saturday and Sunday, and then we're going to give that a free gift. I forgot what they're going to join in with Mom had like tea and cookies and a little gift for her. They're doing something like that for dads as well. And this is a sanctuary of it's not just mean life of primates and Ringo tanks, and they have all other kinds of animals and stuff. And, uh, almost all of our rescues of some sort. Someone brings something they couldn't have any. More or some of them are former movie actors and this kind of funny, Um it's a cool place, and then on top of that harbor, you've got a whole list of different fathers day meal deals across Tampa Bay and last year, you know, this is something that I couldn't really do. Couldn't take that out for her father's day. That's a good point. I hadn't even thought of that. Um Yeah, when you, uh A lot of our offering is like, you know, certain discounts for dads and stuff like Packer Steakhouse like Pre females there where you can get like, you know, soup and muscles, mistake and now presents the Innisbrook faq. Um, and then the Oh, yeah. Dr Barbecue. One of my favorites. He's over. And for seventh, I think the threat across the street from the kind of race stadium um he's offering barbecue specials and clean like ribs and brisket. And all that kind of thing. Metro.

"Idea that when he was an assistant coach at New Paltz he coached against the team that I played for in college. I had no idea until I got on the phone and I got to talk. I wouldn't have gotten on the phone to talk with him if we didn't get called out for part of what happened what was said on that that search for Zoom. So I think part of the reason we wanted to do this is because it should be, we want to be an ally, right? We want to be able to help Elevate people. I want to be on the right side of history, when it comes to things like this, and want to make chain more. I should be taking it. I should bring it on myself, it shouldn't be on you to promote yourself, to me. It should be on me to go out, and figure out, who's got the great stories and Elevate, those people, and Elevate, those voices, and Elevate those stories, it does help. Listen, Robert does help wage Outside these call us, give us information. No doubt we can't can't be on top of every every school 350 of them. You're right. Don't don't get picked. Don't get pissed off at the coach because the SSID is not as good as you want him to be, that happens. A lot to a lot, you know, don't everywhere where we not all the time, like I just submitted back in life sometimes, you know, inside these don't even travel with their basketball team, you know what I'm saying? There's certain schools that ssids don't even have a roster so that adds on To the image will see it, I'm saying. Well, let's clear this, let's clear this up. "Two on news, Max. We're going to talk to him at 8 40 this morning this hour and well, Do you have this little controversy? One of their Newsmax hosts walked off the set while he was interviewing my Clindell because Mike Lyndall was expressing his reservations about The election results. We'll talk to John Bachman about it. He may be on the spot. Let's find out. Let's see what he says. We just found out. Andrew Yang has well, he has the cove it now you can call it the U. K a variant in gold to South African variant, but you can't call it the China virus. But that's what Yang apparently has. He doesn't have the U. K. He doesn't have the South Africa thing, but he did every time this guy opens about his mouth. I've said this. I've been saying this now for about a week and a half. Initially, I was impressed with the guy. But he's ah, not so much. Not not anymore. This is what he would actually taking a selfie with somebody yesterday, and he remember he spent the entire pandemic up in New Paltz with his family. And he talked about in this video You're about to hear he talks about escaping from New York. Listen, it's from the Bronx waiting escape, too, he says. I've been trying to escape from New York for a while, says the Merrill candidate, Andrew Yang on the Democrat side. Now. We talked about this earlier, Fernando Matteo. He's going to announce today that he's running for mayor. And I like this. I've liked this guy for a long time. Don't know just seeing him on the local news after a cab driver gets killed, he represents cabbies. He represents bodega workers who represents the little guy. I'm a former cabbie. Anyway, says all the right things about crime and how disgusting it is and what we should do. He's a fervent well listen No one clip he says about I think he talks here about bringing back the Oh yeah, refunding the police take a listen. We need to refund our police department We.

"Michael Riedel in the morning on 7 10. W O R. Well, they've got a plan. Michael $10 billion. It's going to take a decade and they're gonna build a new port Authority bus terminal. That was the last time you've been at the taking a bus out of the Port Authority Bus terminal. A long time. I used to take one up to go visit friends in New Paltz, and it's kind of a ski easy place. You haven't been there in years, right? I haven't back in high school or college. I used to take you to visit friends in New Jersey. I don't know if I ever took it back to college. You're not a Syracuse but was it was it wasn't a pretty place back then. And I'm talking a long time ago. Yeah, No, it's uh It's a little unsettling the whole place especially at night. You know, Natalie, who ever what have you done with that place you ever have to commute through there? Oh, yeah, commuted there for years through there for years. It was a horror show. Honestly, it was absolutely disgusting. The smells. It's got that stale urine smell absolutely. And Theo and as opposed to fresh urine on you know you always afraid to turn the corner because you never knew who was going to sleep in there, And it was terrible. Hey, show you were telling us that you did like a serious of reports out of there. How many years ago is that? It was pre Giuliani when that place with real and I mean it's a mess now, but it was really a mess with crime was just rampant. It was totally unsafe. You couldn't use the bathrooms. Bathrooms were being used by crack users. Homeless people were doing showers in there they were. The homeless were just all over the place and again. It was a lot of crime going on a lot of scams. And you know, Giuliani came in next thing in all the Port Authority. Cops crack down. They got the homeless out of there, cleaned it up, and it was fine for a while. You never got the smell out. No. I had a job. I had a job in college working for a Broadway producer on 42nd Street. And so I would often I always took the subway to Port authority. And this is a 1987 88 1 morning. I got up like I saw. I saw a guy get stabbed right in front of it was really scary. Really Scary? Well, ah guy who takes the Port Authority bus terminal every day twice a day Is Terry in our newsroom. We brought Terry into the studio. What's it like now? As I do. Yeah, you like Natalie, You don't want to turn the corner or you keep your head down and just walk fast. What's it like? It really is so scary. It's a complete disaster. I mean, anytime it rains, the the ceiling is leaking. I mean, there's homeless people just laying all over the place. There's a couple of basement areas where you feel like you're in a third World country. It's just absolutely unconscionable. You, are you What time you're there. You're there in the middle of the night, right when you come in about 2 30 in the morning? Yeah, absolutely. And it's scary because you have people in that basement area. They're just laying all over the place, just the lowest form of society that you don't want to interact with, or deal with your kind of climbing over them just to get to the stairway. It's a disaster. And Terry have you noticed? Have you noticed since Kobe that they're more and more homeless people in Port authority than they were ever were before? It's about the same, but that's another interesting point because during rush hour There's no social distancing whatsoever. There's just not enough room. Now, you know the part that Terry said about when it rains. He's absolutely right. If you had a leak in your roof, and when it rained, it came down into your living room. You'd fix it instead. You know what they do? They put garbage pails wherever it rains. I'm not joking job. They have garbage pails placed in all the places that the water comes from the roof. That's absolutely true. Is a third World country, No doubt. Hey, Terry described the described it smells for us. How are they now? Oh, God. It's so horrible. I mean, it's the urine smell and just the homeless smell people that haven't showered in a week or so. It's just be me. Yeah, absolutely. You literally have to hold your nose while you're walking through there. You know. Have you ever witnessed any any kind of crime or anything going on? Nothing serious? No, Fortunately on that respect, But once again, you just have people like the homeless that are laying outside right outside the entrance that you have to climb over. People that are asleep in the basement area. And you know, one of my big complaints. The food is lousy there. I mean, you go over to Grand Central Now they had this before. Kobe, right. This fabulous food court. Great food, court. Wonderful food. They have some pretty good stuff down there at Penn Station, some fun restaurants there, But there's absolutely nothing. Nothing but, you know, Duncan Donuts and one of those I don't know what sort of change shops where you get baloney sandwich with cheese that has been sitting on the shelf for about six months. Stale muffin. Sorry. Have you ever ventured into one of those bathrooms there? No, No. Thankfully, I've stayed away from there. But you know that one interesting shops. So they have like you get a haircut in Port authority, which is very interesting, so I don't know who's getting a haircut there, But you could do that. Let me see. I want to sit there having my hair cut. Well, I'm smelling stale urine for 20 minutes hearing. I mean, he I I've seen people fighting. I've never seen a gun come out or anything, but Just the ramblings of homeless people, you know, saying things to you when you walk by and you never quite sure if they're about to snap.

"No actually no just trumpets and trombones but then my grandmother used to do this thing where she would dress up and this is when we were older she would do this for some of our younger younger cousins. She address up as mrs claus and she'd come in like ringing a bell and this. She is in her like eighties. Doing this and just like kids. Come on mrs clauses here and those memories are just so just so warm. I think of the dichotomy of how cold it would be outside of like negative something with tons of snow and then literally and figuratively just so warm inside so those are. That's one of my favorites. Yeah that one yes okay. Well let's see where is a good one to go after that we've got a really good spread. I'm trying to keep these kind of somewhat somewhat. I guess organized. Let's go to this from kim. And this is such a good chris question. Kim best and kim has two questions and she's got to really awesome once Kim says what was the first fight you had as a couple of out. do you remember yup. So it's because i was right okay. Which apartment was this. This was alexander street in rochester. New york it's funny. Because i feel like we were together like a year yet. The sign around that maybe a little over a year. I feel like there was one in new paltz though to or maybe that was a piggyback second fight off could've been regardless of what it was regarded mushrooms kind. You eat food was i. Don't even remember. You're making maybe was making turkey meatloaf meatloaf one of your favorite things that i make is making me well. This is interesting too. I used to hate onions onions. Spicy things until i met kate until i met you. So it's really funny. Because i remember eating french onion soup with you and i'm dating. Yeah and being like. Oh my god this delicious should try onions and more things and then moving onto you know trying to spicier things and and mushrooms. I could always eat on piazza i tolerate. Consistency is weird there. You'll unique consistent. Yeah but man. I mean i think that's another one that i started trying and really liking my god portabella sandwich. Like senate Yeah but it was something about you. I don't i do remember that it was making me live i so i had made this meatloaf for for you before because i made it was kind of like probably one of my first recipes like geez. This was like year one out of My bachelor's out of college. And so i was really kind of like getting into cooking food. Meatloaf instantly to me is just like a turnoff like turkey meatloaf soccer so yummy. But so i was like one of my my standbys that i could actually make and it was actually good and i had made it for you and when i make meatloaf i dice up onions and mushrooms very small. I'll usually like chop them. Pretty finely and mix them in and you had loved that meatloaf like you're like this. This is so awesome. I was so happy. Like my heart is so full. When i give food when i feed people like i am an old lady in like i want to feed you. I assure you i love you. Buy feeding you. And so i was like so happy and i was making it a second or third time and i was actually doing it in front of you like i had the mushrooms and whatever and i started to throw them in the pants like cook them in. You're like what are you doing. Those mushrooms putting them into meat loaf and i was like.

"The morning on 7 10 w O R So let I happen to be up in New Paltz, New York, uh, want this month ago herself? And popped in. I was wearing my mask, of course, popped into a little coffee shop there in order my coffee and somebody s mare you Michael Riedel. I said, Yeah, I recognize the voices that I love to listen to you guys you and let in the morning fun shone so bright, happy to have an audience up in New Paltz. Now why do I bring this up? Because, as it turns out, if you are up there in New Paltz or in the area, you actually can see me in person. This Sunday, December 6th I'm going to be doing this the only book event I'm doing live, believe it or not everything else I've done. Zoom Chad here, but I'm going to go up there to the denizen Theater. Wonderful little theater company up there, and I'm going to be doing three shows because it's going to be social distancing and up to 5 15 people Maximum, but at 12 o'clock, two o'clock and four o'clock Sunday, December 6th if you're in New Paltz. Come to hear me Talk about my book, Singular sensation. The triumph of Broadway at the Denizen Theater. You could go to a denizen theater dot com To get tickets only 20 bucks and with the 20 bucks, you get an autographed copy of singular sensation. Did you see anyone? Crowd crowd was gonna be 15 15? Yes, per event. So I'm gonna do three events during the day and the maximum of a lot of books there Redl boy up Jealous plot, But you know what, you can't. You can't put people in the theater everything. Everyone's gonna be socially distance here so the most you can have his 15. So far. I have eight for all three events. I'm told. But I'm hoping told location, but I'm hoping hoping of anyone up in New Paltz. Here's be there. Sign up. How sad is it? What do you have to go on 50,000 watts of radio and beg for listeners to show up in New Paltz. You dough You've hit rock bottom as an author, and you can't get 15 years selling your autographed copy and the event cheaper than I bought mine on Amazon. What's up with that? I don't know. Well, because, you know, we're just We're just putting the word out there right now. Look, somebody said he said so far. We have eight. But you know, we're We're confident these things come in the last minute I said, look. It is better than I had when I was flogging my first book out there in Portland and I showed up and they had about 100 shares in the lobby of the theater, and not a single person showed up for the event. Mm. That Z. There was. There was a code on the back of one chair and I turned to Kristina, my girlfriend, so at least one person showed up and she said, that's my goat. You know what? Ah, booked book. Things are tough for the greatest of all Thursday, Um Susan Isaacs, who lives here on Long Island's written some terrific books and shoes. She was talking about a conversation she had with Nelson two mil. Now, Nelson is soldier, a good zillion books. And the two of them were just talking about how you know they may show up in Boston for a book signing event and no one's there. I mean, these are two very well No, you just never know. So I mean, it's a tough, tough, tough racket, Michael. So the fact that you committed to three shows was very impressive on your part very aggressive. I chalk it up to Kobe. People are a little worried about the spike up there. So they're a little reluctant to show up in person that Zalmay Excuse your story with nothing to do with you. But that's a good chili. Not now. We found out what a job Arliss favorite songs is. Do you have? Ah, Do you have that song there Limp? You can still do I do Here you go right to remember. I hesitates a player because I just picture someone driving along the BQE nodding off to this song. So stay awake out there. Remember the time Of September. 1 Life was wrong, Ondo. So Malone now great. Great. Well, your back one of the great and you know when that song I got an email from one of our listeners, Jackie and she said that song really became poignant after September. 11th try to remember the kind of so Yeah, yeah, really. Anyway, so it was written by Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones. Harvey is no longer with us. But Tom still is with us. He's into into his nineties Now, Harvey wrote the music and Tom wrote the lyrics. And remember, They told me that wonderful story about how they came to write that classic song Harvey. Hey, had really no money back in those days. And he just gone backpacking through Europe, and he would use what money he had when he was back in New York to rent a studio in the Stein Way building where you could rent a piano in a room for an hour because he didn't have the money for his own piano. So he was a now our rental on the piano in the Steinway building. He was trying to write the song, the musical The Fantasticks, and even I was writing this really complicated piece of music and all this and I was getting nowhere and he said I looked at the clock and had five minutes left. And so I just closed my eyes. Put my hands on the Keyboard, and he played the whole melody of Try to remember. And then I thought, Well, this is it must have been a European folk song. I heard when I was backpacking through Europe, so he didn't do anything with it. He thought it was someone else's song. And then he played it to Tom Jones, the lyricist he was working with in time, said. That's nobody song but yours. That's a lovely melody. Let's use it, and that afternoon, Tom went to visit his girlfriend, Staten Island, Natalie, and he wrote the lyrics try to remember on the Staten Island Ferry. And if you listen closely to the music and the lyrics, it does kind of have a sort of gentle kind of flow to it is, if you will know we're on the water. That song was composed in five minutes and the lyrics were written on the Staten Island Ferry. Where else are you going to find stories like that? Well, I hope they're still awake on the beach TV. That's all I have with me. Oh, everybody still here. Are you done, Michael? No. Okay. Oh, yeah. Yeah, That was great. Thank you. Thieves of the kinds of stories. "Do we look for historical insight on the current pandemic? I'm Dr Lin Pascarella, president, the Association of American Colleges and Universities. And today on the academic minute, Michael Vargas, professor of medieval history at SUNY New Paltz, compares Cove in 19 to the period of the black death four years after arriving into Italian ports in 13 47. The black death had killed about half of Europe's population around 100 million people. And yet the pandemic did not cause an economic unraveling. Laborer's suddenly in short supply, saw their wages rise, but only until their Lord's forest wages back down. Poverty and food insecurity existed before and after the plague. All the while the rich held extravagant banquets. Normally, when kings and princes went to war, the spilled blood was not their own. For most of the living. Then, as now, greed, war and political infidelity hit harder than pandemic. What about the black deaths? Psychological effects? Late medieval images of dancing skeletons taking people to their graves offer poor evidence of post plague trauma. Since similar art has always helped to negotiate everyday anxieties about life's end. Fearmongers exploited anxieties as they do today. Conspiracy theories about Jews poisoning wells during the plague were wrong. But they worked to reaffirm boundaries. In the mist of any pandemic, the historical evidence, maybe with contemplative who say this, too shall pass, as also with scientists who remind us that we are an adaptive species. So we can get overcome with 19 and go back to normal. But history also whispers back at itself. Can we do better? We can go back to our work to buy pushed down to move up normal if we want to. But we always have an alternative. Already. Supply of sustainable, humane inventiveness of charity and goodwill crises give us the opportunity to live a new and better normal. "FAM New York November gonna get into the Hey Jill Yankee numbered dilemma and see what you guys think a wide college program is doing about the numbers eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six TJ's with us from new Paltz say TJ I'm good what's up you guys are talking about a welcome if you doubt that I lived in Munich Jack the do you really can't beat other hand the giants won the case all of the campaign ended up flipping over in our one of the not part of the giant may have been right log so is a little different and you're you're on the the border war area there in in in the Connecticut the giants reading the yeah they're mine probably the next morning they not don't relate with over one of the in the morning yes I am yeah I presume the DJ yeah I okay giants patriots fans you put them all together on a college campus you're going to have some of that I mean I went to Hofstra Long Island and when I was there there were plenty of Boston area people that the the came down what's gong island and you would have the Yankee red Sox series in three and for those those were events on campus but not not to that degree in the the aftermath of it all eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six grab Pat New Brunswick on Mookie what's up Pat I I I I feel like you're crazy I'm back I feel like a crazy crazy what's going on well my my crazy hello good about this sort of Saddam looking back over over a picture taken with games everybody knows in his heart Chris sale at the moment who cares you have a picture that it has been productive and look at basketball flat pitchers can fall flat but pitching wins games and you wanna you wanna just gonna be like I guess I'd sale because we had a bad season this is hard I mean that's why didn't lie he's already hurt people get healthy what a bad bad bad to fall flat at any moment still looking at and thinking he's gonna get heard for years and be a state I don't think I live very under two hundred okay here's what he's great field to win you a game you have sale you signed with you after you pay you players in the sport you're not I don't think it's a real bad but I'm just trying to find a bunch of parts that you still have a guided the game winner it's it's you're not winning but you can win games on the fact that you're gonna win games your to win games of the Packers sale it's it's insane and prospects come on so because they got a prospect forum for Alex food because they got Alex Verdugo that that's the difference given the bats sale is going to win your games regardless you can have it that you can swap out and you're gonna lose its sales helping his picture well you're winning the sale would shake the ground and and I won't argue with you know you that's what they gave me at a at a bad bad batch of pictures don't plow the ground in a bad batch and and and well who did pick up what's his face Ben Ben Ben Ben I'm going to come any stakes you can go back and forth all that but if you're going to win your game so you keep sell definitely pick up whatever you could pick up from from look at that and and dump salary take it Chris smiled Chris Pat sale might never be healthy again Chris sale the kind of injuries that were you going forward here is sprained told we talk about elbows and shoulders talk about his pitching arm there was a problem before they started here games the year before they signed a restore ninety miles per hour what it was eight ball brawl for you typically is and that's not a hate mail that's not he's gonna bounce right back can be fine that's a major red flag if you go to turn around and give them a hundred and fifty million dollars you want to compare Gerrit Cole to Mookie Betts and who you would rather have guys will get some more money I'm I take your call over Mookie Betts I think this starting pitchers have been a better bet over the previous decade you look at the big contracts have been given out the starting pitchers have been the better bet Justin Verlander has paid off on his deal Clayton Kershaw largely paid off on his deal and I understand the post season lack of success with him is that correct he has been okay on his contract he's been healthy at the very least David price has been a bad one and he got dealt by Boston once we got on this list of the the the biggest contracts given a pitcher's Felix Hernandez is your danger that one did not pay off for Seattle but he's the only one that didn't stay healthy for the the length of the contract is that I went through this when the Yankees signed Gerrit Cole okay how do you give a pitcher nine years that's pretty wild until I went back a CC so bad they are the first contract that he got with the Yankees worth every penny of that contract wise guys stay healthy so why you think it's started pages being fragile in actuality has been a better bet and then you think of who the guys they get the big time they they hitters they got the big time contracts and it's Albert pool holds Joey Votto prince fielder you guys that have not been the stars that they were when they were younger and it when your position by trying to play every day it's it's not a young man's game so I I get all that sales already heard two Mookie Betts I mean I'll take Mookie Betts a hundred times out of a hundred absolutely yeah you'll get into Gerrit Cole or Jacob Agron that level the picture we can have a conversation but Chris sale I don't have confidence a he's going to be a top notch pitcher over these next few years Ron a Manhattan gives you shall what's on your mind run you do it again all right back with the last caller does not know what he's talking about listen look at multi bets not.

"Calling from new Paltz and Henry you're on the van was happening AC first time long time are you doing okay hand me thanks a lot for that and I appreciate that what's going on so much sure I can handle the truth I am thinking and you know twenty seventeen Yankees as the ball in camera there is you know some finally goes to Florida in relief and before I start celebrating you know all this in contesting his own relations do you think there's anything else these guys have on the Yankees leveraging company what do you mean I'm not sure I understand my and that's probably more me than you and read a what do you mean what they might have on the Yankees is you're asking I don't know there's nothing no no no no no there's nothing nothing with the Yankees at all now Carlos bell Tran was a part of the Yankees last two years what he might have contributed what we don't know any wasn't cited for being with the Yankees as he was no there's nothing on the Yankees no okay Henry I guess that's it for Henry I mean listen I think most teams if they can get a marriage it's all about women for goodness sakes I wouldn't put it past the mat so wouldn't put it what do you think all of a sudden now that that none of that they have not tried to get the edge tried not I'm there all of major league teams probably argue will play a NO and mean probably more teams haven't been caught them ma'am we know Houston we know of course Boston I mean but down above but to think that it's going to go away because of what's happening now is would be very nice Kevin is a calling from Long Island Kevin you're on a fan thanks for taking the time thank you Steve always a pleasure to talk my pleasure and the NCAA's she double age criticize your dish many times one thing about them when they find out that there is a player that doesn't belong on a chance you she they didn't pull the title I think I go way back to doing all right think lost one of their these ships due to that if I recall back in the early seventies maybe well I'd like baseball if you're free that anything in his pants enter really send a message you pull the championship from Houston to clear the Yankees attended one of the dodges you don't play any games you put that asked you if you put that story there no champion that year I would be used as storage feel now if you took the championship away they'd be pretty annoyed and that's the only way to really have a harsh punishment margin William yeah you know a guy in a red short not could sit in the top one hundred Brady's there Brady has to have a deflated balls they have to have big shoes to get I need bleach they do the camera store I mean it's just disgusting that there is actually didn't play with his third on like Jerry Bratcher with left for the hundred best players of all time you go back to those four championships this man he took off but he delivered the past like a the end of the plays of that el Nino big change today it's all about the box and if really wanted to send the message the message they would vacate it should be shipped for that year and the real they're also did start to rent you have been shipped to and then maybe you'll start to get any vision well Kevin yeah no I I I I I understand totally one hundred percent where you're coming from and I appreciate your being a part of the program and making a call see the reason you can't suspend what the players is that there might have been some players with Boston with you sooner didn't participate didn't want a part of it didn't want to be a part of it and again why Manfred and Major League Baseball is in pointing the figure indicted suspending and or even finding or were with with players is the grievances there would be filed they are the lawyers would be involved baseball would be sued and the Players Association would be backing up every player's grievance Major League Baseball don't want to go through that that's why the only really seriously Alex Cora and bell tram were mentioned among players I'm I'm listenin or might have been others who were wiring plugs in Baja and and fixing as some of the equipment or installing it but to a bell train was mentioned and then there is enough evidence from him being involved in the operation how much involved who was there he was but to say that he had nothing to do with anything going on in so many words a line and they're a lot of the manse man of the Mets don't care med said no to the Mets know anything from lying and cheating what is it with Bernie making off with the money and growth of a Ponzi scheme right in the late nineties before that even now and nothing is going to happen develop Tran except if the New York metropolitans mark my words get off to a bad start god for bid now we hold build Tran as a manager wins and and if he's going to be doing anything on the shady side Carlos don't got quads one bottom line is that the Mets get off to god for bid a bad storm you think that Carlos is going to be hearing from the crowd and he's going to be hearing every Tammy walks out to home plate at home on the road after losing specially on the road every time he walks out to home plate he'd be better off to hand it off to a player or do business bench coach yeah with the opening with the line ups before the game at home plate with the umpires and the other manager because he'll be hearing and this is not going away anytime soon Michael is calling from valley stream Michael you're on the fan I see how you doing tonight okay Michael thanks for the call feature well you've got kind of just spoke about what I want to comment on we ask about is okay obviously they're going after the coaches and and estimates and it's a scandal the cheating scandal in Houston okay and I really after the players what happened with Cora well we just you know on the day why aren't they going for the players really I mean I know well easy because the players some players and we don't know they might have been aware of the operation but not taken part Brandon also in in a court of law and that's my being an assessor readable crime not saying anything in other words if you will know that your friends are going to rob a bank and you don't say anything to the authorities about it you can be held liable as in a sense redid the crime another words in another words that you can't the players would file a grievance especially those for sure or worn a part of it but if they know some about it they could be an assessor read to a crime and that could could get you into trouble onto itself that's in a court of law now with baseball right everything is where it is so hypocritical to begin with but the bottom line is at their grievances would be filed the Players Association will get involved and you as a player yeah but you were recited by Manford or god Cora or a bell train or whomever you could get a job soon Major League Baseball now for and where would the proof come from and also I answer is probably no but do you really believe that Houston Astros owner new actually not sure what's going on call sure yeah I do one nine right that's a cynical answer but it's hard for do you think they were shocked to hear that all of a sudden now right now they had to and the owner of the owner and the owner of the owner of the Houston Astros had them now right I fire that'll I die I believe I mean if you knew something how can you constantly feel K. with firing then while you were your profiting based off what is your score is out at the time yeah thank you yeah right every every is the whole thing a sad and dirty the end and I don't think there are too many clean of individuals here and there may be a rat I mean for me to think that Jim crane didn't know about it what they saw shocked them about that with them and with the hinge and with this GME which shocked he didn't know what and the same thing with the with Kennedy in Boston and Henry and and the guys running the show well on Warner row the three running the show in Boston that in now and a chorus listen and and I mean the the scapegoats here Cora and bell train is going to have to live with all kinds of guessing and speculation and in the court of public opinion due process and forget to with that with the fan the fan has already made an opinion it's not going to change whether he's claimed weather is dirty it doesn't matter the fan in the court of public opinion those opinions have been formed and most opinions even though my metropolitan fans want to see you bell Tran and is going to manage the team right down I'm sure most metropolitan fans feel that he was very much involved with what was going on in Houston Danny is calling from Rockland county Danny or on the fan in New York City what's going on if our Hey Danny what's happening I just think that people are a little bit naive to think that you're out agent in a sport where there's millions of dollars in chips they had trophies at stake that that there's not going to be some type of person trying to gain a competitive edge what do you like the better of sports and try to gain a competitive edge my day that it's right she no but you know what they won their championships and my whole thing is if you can't do not take them to seven games I mean they were cheating and they still at the seven game what are they keep their World Series I don't use that I don't think they should take anything away from you then they got caught they're not the only one you know it they're definitely not going to be the only one that they're going to get caught doing something of the future and baseball specially like with most sports I mean how people are surprised after you know from everything from greenies steroids it is out of it I mean like how was your well I mean if you really think this stuff is not going on I mean you guys this is their livelihood he's not gonna take advantage of my nascent related courses all of them but if they did then you know what I you know what to I know why board I'll tell you that right off the bat if I was I know what I would do so then and then thanks Danny and for your car maenads it would have been wrong egregiously wrong but I want to if I was on there with the Astros I would've been a bit paying attention also to improve and and of course the only enhanced role in was Maria's neck and of course he's now a metropolitan wait a minute but dimmer Iznik maybe more Iznik didn't take advantage of what was going on to go from one ninety is two thirty three but anyway I again and trying to make light night but the bottom line is it's serious thing and I think with baseball and those alone it with their own thoughts with baseball are regretting the getting costs and the and the cheating will continue it'll be more advance maybe more.

"Richard there we got open lines eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six city see coming up on the Mets in about fifteen minutes it's going to Chris in new Paltz to start us off this segment you are on the fan Christopher a I think so how you doing today Hey Chris real good let's do one okay in the past we've talked about I like to make a comparison between he and Brady this kind of the a great quarterback I don't understand where the negativity again he like comes from I look at the statistics from last season through only eighty yard let them Tom Brady in the twenty eighteen season I have exactly the same complete six percent and is not available recorded that Brady is not a mobile quarterback I don't understand why the New York media negative again he lives while Brady is you know presented as the second coming really what's going on the team that is surrounding his quarterbacks I don't think that you are done if he had a spectacular year last year with a mediocre to poor Kenya so it just kind of wondering why you wanna use it like that thanks for your perspective on it well I think what and and talked about this with a friend of mine this this past week we are obsessed with the range is that how many rings does somebody have an end Brady obviously has the rings over Eli even though the two video live one war against Brady but I think that's a huge part of it and I I really think if you get down to crunch time time after time after time Tom Brady is the guy that wins he browses team down the field he gets it done and that's a large reason where why they've won so many rings I mean it's you know it's the did the Maggio Williams comparison you know Williams not winning championships Ted Williams were talking about Joe to Maggio doing so is it that you know Ted Williams fault is he a loser even though we might be the best hitter ever in baseball or is it that he wasn't surrounded by enough good players to win more often Williams with the Yankees the measure with the red Sox would things have changed so it's those kinds of things those kinds of comparisons but I think giants fans looking at their record the last couple of years versus the patriots winning championships that's what it comes down to and the quarterback gets an inordinate amount of credit or blame if you win or lose and because he's the most visible guy on the field but Tom Brady is not Tom terrific officially anyway Jason's in Manhattan your on the fan Jason Erica thanks so much for taking my call Hey Jason what's going I appreciate a lot and if I just have to say like a lot of third you know awful about the but you're very level headed about everything and I appreciate that I think it's working if there's a song for an especially as bad as they look at Lana and a lot of their work on the game you know really get a lot more moment going to read the series I might make employment Alonso we have a little trouble seeing the ball against the respectability there are a lot of strikes for no reason I mean especially the referencing their first winning Asia spending that look at the ball a lot more than he was early in the season I don't know but because the way the batting order change with McNeil don just seems that way well what I've noticed about him is there are pictures that I see hanging sliders and and breaking pitches that he swings and falls off I mean pages that when he's on he had side of the ball park four hundred and fifty feet so he's missing pitchers you should head and I don't know whether he's tensing up a little bit he's over swinging whatever he's doing but there are pictures I look at my go on and and Keith even mention it last night a couple of times whoa I wish you know he'd want that one back and and it happens a lot now you know where he gets a pitch that okay here here's a home run Andy it's fall ball and files it straight back so he's off just a little bit and that's the ebb and flow of the baseball season you know when you're hot you know you take pictures you shouldn't had it all and get him out of the ballpark and when you're cold you take those pictures that you should hit nine miles animism or you don't the younger you fallen off and that's what he's doing now he's he's off again and since the all star break he's been more off again then ani had you know like a hot week worries hitting home runs and doing it and then cold again so he's into a little bit of a slump and I I I wish I could say well their pension and better their pitching them smarter I don't really see that being the case it just seem not hitting pitches he should go to William and Manhattan your on the fan William okay thank you what's up you know last night in the game the ground was it.
