The conversation continues the conversation on retirement, looking at it from all different angles and really getting you set up so that you can be excited about your retirement. That is something Marty can do. Marty Neville, that is with that consultation that you can schedule Marty is the author of The Book Retirement Smart America. And you got a copy of that when you schedule your consultation with Marty looking at dues and don't say and making sure that your retirement runs like a well oiled machine and the whole the moving parts of it, So let's start with the positive. I guess they do those things. You should be doing things Marty can do for you as a retirement partner. And this is why Marty has has licenses in so many states because when his client's move, they don't want to end the relationship with him. It's a retirement relationship, and that's the first do is to regularly review the performance in the management of your absolutely Yeah, well, that's and that's what I do on a regular basis to make sure that your portfolio your investment strategies are working the way they should be, and you're making money at all times. That's that's key to me. You should be making money at all times. You shouldn't be losing money, and none of my investment strategies will allow you to lose money. You're just making money. So, so that's the important part being consistent, having performance on a regular and on an annual basis where your funds are growing, your funds are still you know, uh, making money at all times and with all the different strategies out there, So Yeah, there are a lot of well there are a lot of moving parts in these these different plants. So yes. We want to make sure that having a review on an annual basis, whether whether you get an estate plan through me, we're going to do an estate planning review. Or a financial planning your review and making sure everything is the way it should be. And if we need to make adjustments, we can make adjustments there that nothing is written in stone. It's easily and it's flexible. So all the plans that I put together do have different components, so they're not It's not a rigid situation where you can't make adjustments, if need be well, And I guess this next one would apply even more so to those who are in the financial red zone but wisely started their retirement planning is watching for newly added funds to your portfolio. Well, you're going to be constantly saving in your 401. K. If you're still working. I insist that you do and I talked to my clients about that. And I want to know what percentages you're putting in and a lot of cases. I'll say increase that you're making the most amount of money you've ever made in your life. Now you're You know, all your major expenses are gone. And I was the time where you should be saving the most. So yes. Monitoring that making sure that they have strategies that you're employing on those on those additional funds that you're putting in our to your advantage, and they're gonna they're gonna maximize your growth. In your 41 K plan and not be underperforming. So that's that would be really crucial. So you should. Hopefully you have somebody, uh, that is managing your 401 K one who could be probably a big company, depending on who's managing it. Who the administrator is. Hopefully they give you some kind of advice or guidelines in a lot of cases. Unfortunately, they don't so that's you know, sometimes where I help people. In looking at what they're different strategies are and what they are Ford. So this way we can maximize your growth. Another thing you have here is how important it is to stay on top of things, really educate yourself and don't miss opportunities. But that's actually something you do for your clients as well. Well, it's risk tolerance. So making sure that you know if you're if you're not really wanting to take a lot of risk, we want to put your you want to put your funds into something that's going to be more secure a little less, uh, at risk. So again, Risk tolerance has a lot to do with it. And if you have the right advisor, you know again. It depends on the type of advisor because I'm a retirement advisor. So I'm a little on the more conservative site to begin with, because I want to make sure that your money is always growing. And you're not losing anything at all times. So making sure that your portfolio, you know matches Your particular risk tolerance and what you're trying to accomplish at that point in your life and it depending on if you're already retired, or if you're close to retirement, because most of my clients are my age, I'm 65 so. They're they're, you know, usually 55 up is my clients. Uh, those are that's who I deal with and work with a regular basis. So, uh, we're all in the same boat together because we're all baby boomers. We're all getting ready to retire pretty much at the same time. So you want to make sure that your risk tolerance matches what your performances watch that risk tolerance and you, actually and you give your clients ownership of their planet. You're you're not one of those. Look, I'll handle it. I mean, you take them along the Away. Oh, absolutely I everything is done in conjunction with with I don't do anything without your permission. So if you you know we're going to you're going to understand and know exactly what we're doing. And why. And what you're getting into what your investment strategies are. What the what the allocation strategies are so everything is done together where you have an understanding and know what we're doing. So, yeah, I'm not going to leave you with the dark. That would be that would be terrible. So I'm not. I'm not sure. I'm your advisor. I'm there to make sure that you understand and know what you're doing and what's happening instead of, uh, doing it Just blindly dues and don't have retirement planning with Marty Neville 888519 90 96 to get that relationship started and and getting that initial consultation schedule. "Continues here on financial safari with Marty Nevil. It's Q and a time with the author of the Amazon number one bestseller, Retirement Smart America. Yeah, he does head of SmartMoney Solutions, and Marty does retirement man. We get really, really good questions in on this show from the listeners. And of course, that's how we closed it out every week. Marty Janesville, Wisconsin opens it up. They're saying this. I'm a little bit torrent about how to approach my retirement planning. On one hand, I want to really understand all the details about my plan. But I've talked to a couple of financial advisors who act like that. I should just let them handle all the details and my being a control freak by wanting to know everything that's going on. It reminds me of the wizard about Don't Never mind the man behind the curtain. Probably re exactly. I'll take care of everything that weren't no, no, you should be. You should know Janesville, Wisconsin, you should know and understand. What's going on within your retirement plan. What's your how it's being managed? What's being managed what you're being charged and all the different aspects of it. So there's somebody is insisting that you just pay no attention and let him handle things. Run for the doors. Right. So to me, that's a red flag when somebody it doesn't want to be transparent and open and have open, honest communication with you and just wants you to handle all the details. Well, that's great. Yeah, I handle all the details for a lot of my clients, but at least they understand what's going on. Before I take charge, so to speak, and they're in the loop, so we have conversations, you know, on a regular basis again, Like I said earlier in the show, Dave, it's all about relationships and And I have, you know the report and the relationships I have with my clients is, you know something I cherish because they're like friends. In a lot of cases. They're like family. So it Z really important to me. Well, you have to have that relationship with my client and you take them along the way. I mean, you educate them. You you give them ownership of the plan to because you're include them in the hole in the whole process. Very important and you're not being a control freak it all. Janesville, Wisconsin, call Marty I'm one of those licenses in Wisconsin. Probably Marty. Or absolutely absolutely no doubt. 888519 90 96 888519 90 96 New Lenox Mine Financial Advisor has never spent any time looking at my tax return or asking questions about my tax situation. You got your peanut butter in my chocolate, but actually, this is this is a good thing Just like that was it seems to me that there would be some overlap between the two. But maybe I'm wrong. Do you see any red flags here? They're not communicating. Definitely. There's there's a disconnect between your tax advisor and your financial advisor and there's they should be working together. Especially if you're retiring or retired. Because especially in retirement, you have to manage and maintain some kind of equilibrium with your with your tax situation, and that's why I do a lot of my client's taxes. Because it helps me keep a keep up abreast of what the situation is with their taxes. If there's a problem if they have a spike, let's say in their taxes in a given year, I can look at their tax return and then in 15 seconds, figure out what the problem is and what we need to do to remedy the problem. So I happen to be a one stop shop where I do your financial plan and your taxes and your estate plan. It's really important to make sure you get that free money and it's and it's usually vested vests say that real quick, this usually vests immediately, so it's automatically in there and it's growing and depending on what kind of funds you have your 41 kn Of definitely Max out that match and meth Max out what you're contributing. That's really important. Yes. Oh, no doubt well, and that's the thing. Speaking of financial red zone. If you're 50 or older, then you can take advantage of catch up contributions. Oh, yeah, Catch up Provisions are the same as in 2021 as they are, as they were in 2020. The Max. You can contribute his 19 5. But if you are over 50 you can you can invoke the catch up provisions and put in another 65 6500. So that's 26,000 that you can contribute to your 41 K in a given year. The happier you'll be in its true so so keep saving, Take care of, you know, take advantage of the match and take advantage of those additional contributions that you could make once you're 50 and over. The good thing is because normally later in your career, and at the end of the career, you're making the most you ever have. So you and obviously we're gonna be raises along the way. So you can put his much as you can of that in there. Take advantage of that, right? Well, you know, I usually suggest if you get a raise, just automatically put that right into your 401. K. If you're not already maxed out, if you get a bonus, take that bonus and throw it into your 41 K or some other savings plan. That you have for retirement. So that's that's really important to make sure that you know you you because you won't miss it. You have been living without it. Now, all of a sudden, you get this raise or you get this bonus on instead of blowing it on something that you don't need this. There's always plenty of things to buy that we don't need. You know you could ask me about the but there's always plenty of the stuff that you could spend money on. You know, unless you have kids in college, and you have of those kind of expenses. I mean, I just I just had a meeting with a client who's who took a break from contributing because they have two kids in college, and they got all those other expenses that they have to deal with it. Okay, That's understandable. You you know that's you got to take care of your family and your Children as well. So but but definitely if you get a raise, and everything is on everything should be on autopilot. So if you automate, you know if you set it up through the employer, and if they give you a race, you could tell your employer to automatically Just, you know, take that raise that you're getting and make it part of your retirement contributions. So that's that's something that you know is really be aggressive about it. The aggressive about saving especially later in your career. 50 or above Baby vory is aggressive as you can, Because the more money you have the happier you'll be in the better your retirement. Definitely, well, you know, And I know that makes sense about automating it because that removes any temptation to procrastinate a little bit. I am going to start doing that. So that makes perfectly good sense. Automating your savings, and we were looking at how you can boast your savings and some some good tips from Marty. On that, because, as he says, the more money in retirement, the happier you will be in retirement. It's a little you know, it's a little just a little bit more of that financial freedom you're gonna have in retirement 888. 5.9 90 96, Then Marty do do your part and savings. And then that's your puzzle pieces. And he could put that together for you and show you how he can. With this consultation you can schedule by calling 888519 90 96. Well, you mentioned staying aggressive in your investing. So what is that right balance, Especially if you're in the financial Red zone. Do you need to tweet your aggressive nature a little bit? Well, it could be. It depends on your risk tolerance level. I mean, some people are very conservative, and there's a lot of volatility these days, and we have a new administration in Washington, and there's a lot of uncertainty and what he's going to do and what what's gonna happen next, and Tax increases and all these other things that he's they're proposing which are somewhat radical, but at the same token, you want to make sure that if if you're a few are an aggressive investor that you monitor it on a regular basis, So if there is a lot of volatility, and there is a correction of any kind, larger small, you're able to react to that. And make sure that you protect as much money of that of that you've saved as possible..

"It would be a mistake to think We'll have it when 65 Medicare I'm covered, But there's a lot of out of pocket that you have to factor in and planned for. Well, People don't realize that you know, it's not just Medicare. Okay, You have Medicare that part A, which is which is no cost because you've been paying for your whole life. If you look at your paycheck stub, you'll see that deduction for Medicare. That's part A that's the hospital. You want to Also buy part B. Which is the co pays and deductibles and the doctor office visits, But you also need a Medicare supplement The supplement Medicare pays 80%. Supplement pays the other 20 and Medicare part B. It pays the co pays and deductibles and the office visits and with part B, and with the supplement, there's a premium, so they're anywhere. Let's see the Medicare Part B premium is about 100 and $15 a month right now. Which is usually deducted from your social security. If you're taking your social security at that point, Otherwise, they send you a quarterly bill and the Medicare part B. You know that comes with a premium. It's about 100 50 $175 could be a couple $100 a month for the Medicare supplement. Premium. So you can't forget about health insurance, especially if you retire early and before 65. Why? No, you've got to worry about health insurance up until the point you turned 65 Medicare kicks in, So it's something that we have definitely put into the plan. And make sure that you've got the is sufficient assets to cover those costs to make sure that you're completely covered with your health insurance. That's that's an important aspect. Of any retirement plan is to make sure that you have your health insurance is in full force and effect and you're completely covered until 65. And this is this is a good finale or two in really into you providing another offer for the listeners, And that is another thing that could sabotage our retirement plan is to not have a plan and especially not one that has been crafted by a retirement planner. Like Marty. Absolutely, Dave. You're right. So for the next 15 minutes, I'm gonna open the phone lines. So as many people that call for the next 15 minutes we'll put you on the schedule. Leave a message. I'll get back to you. We'll put you put you on the schedule and start putting these plans together for you. It's a full, comprehensive guaranteed.

"Well, happy weekend again, Dave. How are you? We can again, you know, And I know from talking to you. You're as busy if not busy, or on the weekends. Then you are during the week. Yeah, it's crazy. It's non stopping seven days a week, So I love it. I'm enjoying it. And But, yeah, it's be nice to have a little bit of a break once in a while, right? Yeah, exactly. Exactly. And I I got I took the break for you. I last weekend this weekend. I plan to be a little busy. Because I was almost felt guilty. All idea was binge watch and movies and didn't even leave the house. Well, when you were tired, uh, there could be a gold watch. Maybe not Probably not a pension. Most of us have had multiple jobs there on her career. Turning 65 does get you some things and not others. So we're gonna point out what that magical age can be. Bug get you and what it can't Well, you haven't reached full retirement age for Social Security, added 65. Well, that used to be the benchmark age years ago when your parents, you know, retired at 60, you know whenever they retired. 65 65 was the retirement age. Everybody you know, knew that you had to retire 65. Because you know what the reason they picked that age was actually the life expectancy was 67 back in the day, right? So so they pick 65 is the read as the full retirement age, but Now It's 66 a number of months like minus 66 4 months. That's my full retirement age of my age. I was born in 56. If you were born in 1960, or after your full retirement age is 67. So stay tuned. They're probably going to change that, too, because we are living longer, so they're probably going to make the Social Security retirement Age higher. I wouldn't doubt it up four grand fathered in though we will be. You know, Probably I would imagine that we're probably gonna be there. Probably, you know, for the younger generation, the millennials and And the X Factor's or whatever they're called These days. E can't keep up with all the general we're living so long. They're more generations alive at the same time next Gen Xers and so So that yeah, they'll probably change the retirement age in the future. I can't see because, you know, they keep claiming and saying that the fund is running low and the trust fund this whole security trust fund is gonna be depleted by such and such 2034 I think is the year S so they're probably going to extend that the retirement age to extend the benefits and you know, Congress here. Here's a hand. Congress would replace the two trillion you took from the Social Security Trust fund and right trust fund the world to stay solvent for awhile longer, right? Exactly. We definitely and you've mentioned that they were going to do what they have to do. To make sure it's not going to be Armageddon. What Social Security Here's another one in 65. Here's something you can do and that sign up for Medicare. What? So what's the process? And how early should you start that? Well, if you're still working and have a health plan through your job you don't have to sign up at 65. But generally speaking, you have to supply for Social Medicare at age 65. That's the benchmark age. We're all required to take it at 65. I turned 65 this year, so I'm gonna be applying for Medicare. It's It's three months before the month of and three months after your birthday. Your birth month is when you would sign up and apply for Medicare benefits Now also take part B because part B covers the co pays and deductibles and the office visits. So you want to definitely get Medicare part B that comes with it, and there's a there's a premium. For that. So if you haven't taken your social security because you're not required to take it until age 70, actually. So if you haven't taken your social security and you play for Medicare, the part B premium will be sent to you. Quarterly as a as a as a paid a monthly bill. So you have to pay that premium. And if you're not, they normally take it out of your Social Security benefits. But if you haven't taken those Social Security benefits, they're just going to send you a quarterly bill. Okay. All right. Wow. No, they don't make anything easy to the O complicate, You know, that's part of the retirement aspect. That idea with all the time so Medicare, you have to have your Medicare. You have to take part B, Because if you don't take part be, you know, just a quick story. I had a client who didn't take decided She didn't need Part B And so she went to the office and Had been in office procedure done, and the office sent the bill to Medicare, Medicare said. Well, you're not a hospital, so we're not going to cover the Medicare supplement denied it because Medicare denied it, and she didn't have part B. So she ended up paying and $8500 bill out of hock it because she didn't have part B, which would have covered it. Because again part B covers in office procedures, copays and deductibles. So you definitely want to buy your part B when you apply for Medicare. So what can she do? Can she get it? No, she can get it. But there is. What does the government do? If you don't follow the rules, Dave, they penalized. This is they penalized penalty that keeps on penalizing, isn't it right? So for every year that you don't take part B. There's a 10% premium penalty. So if you don't take it for three years, that's a 30%. Increase in your premium because it's 10% of years, So that's what the government does. If you don't take it on time they penned, they impose a penalty and that penalty is permanent. So it's a 30% increase for her because she was three years after the fact. And then she decided to take it after the fact. And now that she's got a 30% increase in your premium, man. Yeah, that that is the permanent penalty. Now, if here's one thing this is complicated sounding and yes, you want to make sure that you do things on time and Because you don't get a lot of do overs. It helps to have a retirement planning specialist with you. That is Marty Nevil 888519 90 96 888519 90 96 Now had if she had a H s A and I'm hoping she does. That could be she could use the health savings account for that out of pocket. Yes, she could've, but she didn't. Oh, no. Okay, so But, yes, The hscei would have saved the day in that case if she would have had NHS, eh? Because you can use an hscei for anything medically related, including premiums on Medicare supplements and other things so you can contribute when you turn 65 you know you could start withdrawing a tax free. As long as it's to pay. You know, you have to be in a high deductible medical plan it work. Tonto qualify for it. But if your company offers that I would definitely consider making those contributions because they pretax so they're tax deductible on they come out tax free, so and everything and independent and how you invest it. It.

"Rock and roll but is only number One hit was his worst song ever. That story's governor with Ed Wellness with the moment in rock'n'roll history at 7 55. It is 7 40 right now. 20 minutes before eight o'clock is an old as a former California I've been a Texan now for nine years. I'm happy and I'm staying here. I'd like to reach out to the other California's They're just moving into town and say, Hey, guess what. Texas Legislature When a decision yesterday and in just over three months, they'll be done for two years. See if California did that. They wouldn't have the kind of mess that they've got right now. Full time Legislature. Anyway, Today's Day two and dark late Nevel is here to tell us what happened yesterday morning, Clayton. Good morning. Yesterday was opening ceremonies. The real big business that was done yesterday was the official vote for the House speaker. We know that Dennis bonding is no longer the speaker. He opted last year not to run for re election. That was amid controversy. We ran those stories last year, and that is that respondent is in the books, and now David feeling has officially been voted in. It was 143 in favor of date feeling. Two against in four didn't vote so an overwhelming vote from the house to make date Beetle in their speaker. He spoke yesterday. There were several other speakers that talked about some of the policies that will be in effect this for is covert 19 testing when you come in limited crowds in the gallery and things like that, so it was mostly ceremonial yesterday, but date feeling being elected officially is the House speaker. Where's the big business? Yeah, no real surprise there. Security also very tight yesterday because of the run on the Capitol in Washington, D. C. Any protesters any problems yesterday? No issues yesterday, Of course, the big question movie this weekend when protesters are encouraged from some organizations to go to state capitals across the country that Governor Abbott talked about this week, saying that DPS is prepared that they're always prepared for safety measures and things like that for security and that he had confidence in them for this week, But there were certainly an extra presents have seen some of the photos. From outside the capital of a significantly increased presence from law enforcement yesterday, wearing some of the tactical gear and things like that, so they already as some of the speakers will. Metcalf was a representative yesterday and he made a speech and he talked about how these air unprecedented times but the Legislature needs anyway. He said that the Legislature doesn't break or pause because of pandemics or because of natural disasters or any circumstance across the country. So Certainly unprecedented times as you go into the gallery with Max as the certain representatives and senators have precautions within their own office. They're doing a lot of virtual meetings and things like that. And then, of course, tension and state capitals across the country, so certainly a different legislative session for the 87th session, But they're getting to business Nonetheless, we're talking about their own plate, Nevel. The state Legislature, of course, can address and effect any number of laws in this state, but they're only real responsibility, according to the Constitution is to come up with a budget for the next two years, and there's gonna be a tough year for him, isn't it? Yeah, yeah, The budget is certainly the top priority is it always is, You know, when you talk about priorities every time the session means every time it gets together, it's the budget and it's education. Now this year, you can throw a pandemic relief in there as well. But the budget is going to be a task, you know, and it's a huge state 254 counties, all of the ground that Texas has to cover, so That'll be the big talk with topic as we go along, and the date beat one yesterday. One of the first things, he said, is let's lead by example, and let's work together. Now That's easier said than done, But that's the goal of the House speaker's. We move forward with the budget and with the other issues they're going to face. One other issue that they're talking about is to make the alcohol delivery bill permanent, so restaurants I guess can deliver alcohol to their customers, and that would really, really help him out financially. Yeah, yeah, The margaritas to go is kind of the plant is being used for this particular bill and feeling the dress that bill yesterday of all issues that the Legislature is going to take up. That was one that he mentioned in his opening speech was that margaritas to go? There seems to be a lot of moment. Um, around this. The thought about it is not to get people their margaritas more easy, but to make things more easy for Businesses to give them another source of revenue because we know that a lot of businesses and restaurants right now have limited capacity. Well, all of them have limited capacity. So filling alcohol to go is away where they can make some of that money up. Not all of it by any means. But that's the overall thought behind this is that this financially would help businesses. I talked to a couple lawmakers behind this last week if they said You know what you hear alcohol to go. You think over container and drinking and driving? Well, how does that work? Well, it doesn't violate any of that. The containers are closed. It's not like people are drinking it in their car. Well, they're not legally supposed to drink it in their car. It just allows people that get the margaritas get the tequila, whatever alcohol they want. Take it in small bottles and bring it home. So restaurants were able to do that and make a little bit more money. It seems like this bill has a lot of positive response. Alright, thanks very much. Very informative. Great Report. Clayton or so Kayla have some played Nevil. New York City is now banning President Trump will explain coming up and YouTube is as well but first traffic.

"Together, it's all custom tailored specific to your needs. And your goals and sometimes I might recommend. Keep working. Keep keep putting as much money you can. Hopefully your kids are grown and gone. If you have kids, and they're out of college and all those major expenses we're done. So retiring, you know, working a few more years and packing away as much money into that for one k as possible for that 3 to 5 more years, it would probably be a benefit. So there are there are situations where I say keep working. Pup put as much money into that for a one chaos possible. If you're maxed out, there's others, you know, keep saving, because the end as much money as you can have the better off, you'll be Oh, you do what you want and enjoy life to the fullest. If you have the resource is to do that. So if there are CS, there are situations where I'll tell somebody. Let's let's put this on hold for a little while longer yet. On. Just keep keep saving as much as possible, because it will be to your benefit right and just keep your eye on the prize you mentioned. I do wish that there were one size fits all clothing stores. I was shoe shopping the other day. And of course, there was nobody there to help me and I was I was faced with a dilemma. Art Can you try shoes on these days? I don't know. I felt like a criminal kind of writing on the shoes. You just don't know anymore. Yeah, well there there are shoe stores that you can you know they're self serve. You know the shoes or Sol sitting out there? You could try a month. I never no, No, that's one of the few things I won't buy online is because you want to, you know exactly stuff online. But when it comes to shoes, you want to try and mine. You want to make sure they're comfortable. You want to make sure they fit properly. You have Tonto. Exactly. You have to. How do you How do you press down on the toe online? You can't do it. All right? Yeah. Finally in planning and strategizing on when you were tire. Are you ready? How strong are you and your building Your income plan? Don't forget taxes because they don't go away. No, They certainly don't just cause you retired us. I mean, the iris retires with you. And unfortunately, you know most of my clients. They pay more in taxes than when they were working. And you know, you have to remember almost all of the income that you're gonna have. With the exception of a Roth or tax free municipal bonds. Everything is taxable your pension. If you have a pension, it's taxable. Usually about 95 to 97% of it is taxable Social Security taxable. Dividend income taxable distributions from your retirement accounts 100% taxable So you're gonna you're gonna have a tax liability problem. The key is to minimize it as much as possible. And that's where I come in because I do a lot of my client's income tax returns. And this way I can keep an eye on their taxes and make sure that if there's a way to reduce our eliminate, hopefully their taxes we can. We can do that by looking at their tax returns. So definitely, you know, have to take taxes into consideration. Comes to when it comes to income planning, because that component never goes away. And it's always gonna be there. Unfortunately true. Yeah, I guess you could say Uncle Sam doesn't retire, or he does retire with you. He's like, Hey, let's go into retirement together. I'm along with you Remember, there's if you have a 41 care and IRA. You know, there's a mortgage on that right? And you did a great job spelling out in that segment. Just how comprehensive that even initial consultation convey E with you. "Get togethers our conversation and we're happy to have you along as we talk about retirement with someone who is a retirement specialist. That is Marty Nevel of SmartMoney Solutions. He can be reached. By calling 8885199096 I let's What's the man on the financial red Zone. You are getting ready to launch retirement. Do you have a good plan that this show is all about the plan? Do you have an income plan in retirement? And maybe maybe the first thing to talk about here before we get into strategies is asked the old question. I know you gotta ask alive. Am I ready to retire? That's probably the most common question I get Davis. You know, am I do I have enough. And when can I retire, right? You know, those are probably the two most common questions I get. And and most of my clients when I sit down with them, the answer is usually yes to both. They have enough and then they can retire whenever they want. Tonto s. Oh, yeah, that is good, You know that, but they have to take into consideration. You know the different things, you know? Do you have a plan and not just a financial plan? But what are you going to do when you retire? What do you have A plan? As far as that you're gonna travel or you gonna Gardner? You're gonna volunteer. You're gonna play golf. You know, what are you going to do that, you know, Okay, you're going to sleep in for the first couple weeks, but that gets old really fast. And I have most of my clients that I meet with. They get bored, really real fast. And you know, they got to keep moving, so they want to end up getting some kind of a part time job. To keep themselves active and keep themselves busy, and that's a good thing. So you have to. You have to consider not just the financial part. Yeah, because when that W to check ends when you When that paycheck stops, it's all about income. How are you gonna Always you're going to support yourself, You know, So we're going to take into consideration Social security rental income that you might have. If you have a pension rmds from your retirement accounts, all the different sources of income. That's all required the income to retire with. So so we're gonna look at all that we're gonna put together a plan for you again. It's a long term plan. It goes to at least aged 100. And we'll have a conversation about again. What? Your goals. What your desires. What your objectives are. Yeah, And I'd love to get into more of that guaranteed income that you talk about in this segment. I know we will, because that that that's something that always sounds so attractive to me because I like to think of it as the retirement paycheck. But you do get a next door one. And that is from Social Security. You need to make sure you did You make the right decisions on wind to take it. Well, of course, and that one. That's where the social Security maximization report comes in that zoo a very comprehensive report. That's why when I When I sit down and meet with you, I always ask that you bring the most current Social Security report that you receive from the Social Security Administration. And if you don't have one, because it's hit or miss whether or not you're going to get it or not. So if you don't have when you can always go to s s a dot gov. And get one. So it's It's right there. You just sign on. You set up an account you sign on, You get your report and all the information is there. You just print off the report and bring it with you to the to the meeting, but you have to. That's an important part of your retirement income plant. And because because that's a lifetime benefit that you're going to be receiving, and we have to incorporate that into the overall plan. So you know when do you take it? How do you take it? That's going to be the key. You know, on a lot goes into making that decision. You're healthy Genetics. You know how long did your parents live? Are your parents still living? So there's a lot that goes into making that decision. Determination is toe when to take it and how to take it. So there's so let's sit down and have that discussion. When we meet at the office. We'll We'll go through all that. And that will be incorporated obviously into into the long term plan. Yeah, that social Security maximization report can be. Marty can run that for you. In that initial consultation, 888 519 90 96. You can set that up 888519 90 96. Now, if you wouldn't mind, Marty, I mean, it was we looked at Social security. That's there. We know that can't be it. So someone comes to you, and they bring to you all their hard work, their assets, their savings and all. Can you speak to your process of helping them build that guaranteed income? Of course, and we put together the plan. First. The initial consultation is we meet at the office. Sometimes we meet at your home. Whatever's convenient. I have a lot of clients that are still working, and they can't get away during the day. So I'll meet him in the evening at their home. I do do work in the evenings. So we'll meet at the house or my office and we'll go through what sources of income do you have? Do you have a pension? Do you have you? Obviously Hopefully you haven't a 41 care and IRA that you can depend on that income coming from Social Security again. Like I said, Social Security is something that you could depend on. Do you have dividends from from investments? Rental income, so that so all the different sources of income that you have. We're gonna look at that We're going to put that into the plan sources that you can count on and sources that you know are gonna be there. I have a lot of clients that have rental properties, and they have that rental income that they could count on. So that's gonna be that's all always gonna be as part of the cash infusion of the Income part so so your job is to present is to give me all the information and my job is to put together the report. That's going to show you how wonderful it's gonna look you in retirement because you no way if you don't fully considered all the different sources of income. The report's gonna be inadequate, and the report's not going to give you a clear picture in my old. My objective is to give you the big picture a clear picture of your of your retirement going forward so you can enjoy your retirement. Enjoy life. That's what you worked hard for. Well, you and you mentioned earlier. Most of your clients come to you. And of course they asked that question. Am I ready? Do I have enough to retire? And you said for for most of them? The answer is yes. But for some, do you ever run into something that we have discussed on the show where you do tell them, you know you could know, but it really would pay to delay And here's why. Yes, I do. Because they're too young if they're in their early fifties or mid fifties, and they decide they want to retire on my objective of my, you know, the more money you haven't retirement, the happier you'll be Everybody's situation is different. There's no one size fits all here. You know, there's go to the department store, and there's no one size fits all department and then the same thing with doing these plans. There's no one size fits all everybody's different. Everybody drives a different car. They like different things, and and the same thing..

"And start contributing to that, because that's that's another way to help you offset those medical expenses later in life, and that's if you're in a high deductible plan. Is that how you're eligible? Okay? Yes, it has to be in high deductible plan. I mean, I would I would qualify if I work for a private company because my particular health insurance has a $15,000 deductible. Wow. He's deductibles have gone up. Over the years. Little by little, you know, the premium have gone up and some of those deductibles. You know the reason I say, Wow, is you just last week shared? What were your premium I mean, and it's just amazing up. I'm paying 1000 a month just for me and I'm looking for because next year I turned 60 or this year 2021. All right for you. I forgot what we already were One day into the New Year s So this year I turned 65. So I'll be on Medicare.
