"This is really an example of what i call the wellness diet which pretends to be about health and wellness. But it's actually just another sneakier form of diet culture for the modern age. The wellness diet really has a lot of sneaky diet language that uses and there's lots of examples that i could give of like sneaky diet culture phrases that the wellness diet has made popular. But one of the phrases that you mentioned that really jumps out at me is that quote unquote cravings would vanish. And that phrase really shows that this diet is demonizing cravings and of course it's craving specifically for foods that are demonized right so one of the hallmarks of diet culture in general is that it demonize is some foods while elevating others and that's very much a central feature of new guys of diet culture that i call the wellness diet so the weight stigma aspect of diet. Culture may be de emphasized in some of the iterations of the wellness diet that we see today although weight stigma is always subtly present in the wellness diet as i discuss in my interview with jeff hunger. Which will here shortly. But the morals ation of food in the demonization of certain foods while elevating others is really front and center in the wellness diet. And that's one of its big tells. So i think it's interesting that you're not trusting your intuition telling you what your body needs because it's telling you to eat certain things like sugar and processed foods and so you're mistrusting that and of course the wellness diet deems those foods quote unquote bad. But i bet if you're craving foods that the wellness diet deemed quote unquote good. You wouldn't be second guessing your intuition like this. And that's another hallmark of the way on this diet is that it makes us question ourselves in second guess ourselves when we want things that are not diet approved but the reality is that our bodies are very good at getting what they need. they're very good at surviving. They evolved over millennia to be able to survive famines and these cravings that you're having are so understandable given the restriction and deprivation that you went through on this diet so research really shows that when people are deprived of food overall when they don't have enough food overall they really end up gravitating towards carbohydrates in particular including sweets sugar as a form of carbohydrate because these are the quickest sources of energy for the body. They break down the quickest in the bloodstream. Give you that you know shot of blood sugar that you absolutely need in order to not starve in order to get things done and have energy. And that's super important when you're in a famine which is really. What diets

You remember how that newspaper was with statistics said articles on every team the New York state is no states at times, and they were good at all. But they didn't carry at the teams like sporting news state, and it was like ninety baseball in those little very little hockey and basketball and football, very was nine all the time. It was that was that was like the bible a sports sporting news Tony to follow soccer at all a little bit a little bit. Let me tell you what I read I was reading the times on on Saturday. Now. This is what's going on? Manchester City and Liverpool all one into Manchester City has ninety two points. Liverpool ninety one now does she says not over they both played thirty six games. But listen, how it breaks down Manchester City, the wreckage, Shirley. Morse's and two ties. So Manchester City's in first place thirty four and two. So you get three points for a win one point for a tie ninety two thirty four and two. Okay. Little pools in second. Same number games. Thirty six games. They're rakish twenty eight one one lowest and seven so twenty eight wins. That's eighty four points at one time and seven ties makes ninety one. So can you imagine a team being twenty eight and one and being in second place because I guess English system. They use us a wins so much more than the ties much be almost as close as a loss and the way they weren't because you get three points for a win one point for a tie. Yeah. That's why. In other words, Tony can make it simple. If you play five games if you go to three that's better than going five times, you can have a losing record two or three. And you'd be headed the team with five ties. I I've I've I've soccer for a little bit. Not that extensive then, you know, look who's leaving the Premier League leave at that Manchester United. But I just you know is not the points in all that not really that really got into that Scott into jersey scotch on the fan. I'm doing all right, man. How are you? I'm doing I I'm just so sick of movies in baseball. I mean. Highlight. Oh, like, hey, twelve and one start last year I've been in one then they have a June where they they might have won three games last year. And now at the same thing here. I mean, they don't feel good store to schedule Vicks night. And they scored one run offense without regard at feels like in the last two Alaska. It's just frustrating. No one thing. I mean, even on his team. I mean, he's gotten third every single night. I don't remember the last time he got like a big hit home. I mean since when him and a long 'til went back to back at city field internationals, I drop them down. You know? I it's I you know, what I would take a couple of days off and let me play second base for a while. I really don't know one thing that I I never liked to call for managers job or anything like that. And still I starting with Mickey Calloway to where I could see on my couch when a reliever just doesn't have it like it really brings back to the familiar game where you have to get to to win six out to get five and you could tell after he walked, wink, wink around at four pitch at that. Then he said after that like he doesn't have it in all the jobs to bring somebody else. Can't bring Ed way down to bring somebody else in. And they ended up blowing game winning extras thought. After the game is carbon dioxide toes. Hey got as five good out. Either get out and we almost lost. 'cause you're so still dirt keeping pavilion in as opposed to take him out because that six out would have gotten the confidence vote the next two or three weeks of kitchen. Well, because he's been lawyer just so frustrated. Look, I grew felt that, you know, look guys struggling and. Let's say at the middle of the game. And he he's been struggling he pitches. A clean any. Most managers say okay, let's was pitching again. And then he gets lit up and all the conferences has gone if he just pitched one inning he took him out. He could just dwell on that for a while. And just really, you know, make himself feel good about himself. Like, they you know, I can't wait to get back out there. Now, you get lit up in the next inning. You say the same thing. I can't I can't wait to get out there, but the management I would say that I don't know not not right now. They I mean, they're so in Nemec, I mean. Like you said last year they had a big win. He's figured beginning. Then nothing they start hitting like crazy beginning. Now. Nothing. I it's it's. Hey to save the blueprint is what like Syndergaard hit a home run. Visit complete game win win. Nothing. And I don't and I can't see the pressing. It's just enough. They're not doing nothing. Are they getting close to that forty game market? I always talk about in. And give me a better idea. What they look like. And and you in the funny thing is is poorly. As as Vargas pitch last year. A lot better this year. He's like C CSS just give you five innings, and that's he'll take it. But now he's got a hamstring issue. Matt scott. Nervous. You've. It just it's just doesn't. It it someone hopes somebody doing a story about injuries in baseball. And why guys too too tight too tight too? Much ex. No not enough rest. Not enough trying something else. Eight seven seven three two seven sixty six sixty six number Tony page of got the more baseball both sides medicine Yankees. When we come back with I forty exactly time for twenty with that one..

"February which was fifty nine point seven. It was it was down significantly five o'clock tonight. We get. Neo cash. Cari, he is the Fayed Minnesota fade president he is speaking. And then tomorrow, we get another fade chairman Raphael, Bostick is speaking. So it'll be interesting to see what happens there, and what comes out of that. But tomorrow the big number. We get non-foreign payrolls coming out there expecting one hundred seventy nine all I know is we cannot have another twenty thousand job numbers. Like, we had last look now it's going to be very interesting to see what the revision is for February if it's revised up, but we're coming off twenty thousand which well say it was a Nemec. That's too much of an understatement. But twenty thousand non-farm payrolls are expected to be one seventy nine. Let's hope we get somewhere near near that unemployment rate. Probably going to say where it is at three point eight percent. Average. Our Lee earnings is a number that I'm gonna be watching that's expected to be up three tenths of one percent. So that about covers the economic data. That's come out this week. And what is yet to come out? So we'll watch that tomorrow pretty pretty important day. We've got a lot happening around the globe as well. And in the economy, of course, we we started out the week. No, okay territory. Looks like the Dallas still waiting for some sort of direction here this morning trading right around the flat line one of the big big issues. And I want to talk about this at some length because it is incredibly important. So what I thought I would do when I saw the number, and unfortunately, I didn't see the number to about four o'clock this morning when it came out. I think it was may maybe it was about three thirty. But nonetheless, didn't see the number till then so I didn't have the time to do an awful. A lot of number gathering. But I did do some because I wanted to put a couple things in perspective. And it was some numbers coming out of the euro zone. When I get back. I'm gonna talk about that. It's critically important.

"Ella mayo donor. Yeah. This Turner was like who cares? At chance William said, I had a high school teacher tell me that is a gay, man. I should be pro-life because of every unwanted pregnancy was terminated. I would never be able to have kids which I guess is a long game of saying because you've been our region. I guess yeah. Exactly. Who will you adopt who will you. But by the way, he's he doesn't also include science in any of that. Oh, also idiot. If you have enough money, you can literally pay a woman to be your surrogate, and you can have that's what I mean you own babies science. Just like that Thomas Dolby song at remember that from the eighties when there's ladders in it. But no, I don't listen to that. At don't don't deal. At don't don't do which I love said Toronto two thousand seven one day instead of gyms, some guests adults and members of our all straight gay straight alliance talk to us. So okay. This is a gay straight alliance, which is a club in a school made up of only straight people. My assumption is because gay people were afraid to join it or or nerve udub. I mean, they were to closeted into nerve, quote, unquote filled with allies. Yes. Okay. But still a little bit. It's and there's nothing wrong with joining that as an ally. But there is something wrong with then those allies telling you how to be gay which is what happened here. So they say there wasn't really sex Ed covered. But I remember being told that bullying was bad. The village people were not gay and that one of us was probably gay. The way I read that tweet. The village people think I kept thinking about what why would they even bring it up get rich? The seven I guarantee that was the longest part of that discussion. Everything else was like a minute. And then there was like an hour on whether or not the village people were gay and why or why not I had zero ever come out as gay? I don't know nor do I care at all. I want to say like my personal sex, Ed, which I've said before has was non existent for queer sex education, actually, very good teacher for. Man. Which included safe sex and everything and I think maybe we talked about aids for a second. But you didn't talk about orgasms digit. We did she talk about female orgasm. Yes. Yeah. I'm telling you, my sex Ed in terms of heterosexual, straight education was or male penetrating female was wasted on incredible. Yeah. It was wasted on me. But it was incredible. She talked all about the female orgasm was that in the mail organs for her where people doing that behind closed doors. Like, no, no, I don't know. We didn't have to sign a waiver or anything. I don't know. At Nick Nemec says background my school had a drive your tractor to school day. A sex Ed teacher once may throw a basketball through a hula-hoop and then told our class that's aids getting through a conduct. First of all hates can't get through a condom unless it's a basket, Pat. It doesn't look like a basketball going through a hula while you're essentially saying is Joe. You won't find anything bigger and looser than a woman's vagina. Also, you'll find it. Baller than a peanuts. And it'll be ran Europeans. Detaches? Yeah. But also is just roller Pena's into a woman. It's hula-hoop supposed to be the condom or the vagina near the hula hoops supposed to be either the vagina or I guess, it ain't it. So I don't think this teacher thought of that. So the and the basketball is the sperm will, you know, why I don't know. Maybe you're right. Maybe the hula hoop is the condom and the basketballs the sperm. She should have been more specific women's or men's because women's basketball's are slightly smaller, which I can't use because I have massive hands. I need I need. Why why do we need different gender basketball's?.

"And he had colonoscopy with a massive is a sending his right side of his colon. Hit a circumstantial adenocarcinoma, he was Nemec. He was losing blood cancer was losing blood has hemoglobin was down to ten point seven. He had a colonoscopy three years ago. It was advised to repeat it and he never did. He did not get a cat scan is surgeon. He saw surgeons at all. I can't do a cat scan because you're kidney failure. Well, simple. We arrange for a pet scan which is unrelated to the kidney. So with a surgeon couldn't do a cat scan and the surgeon wanted to do surgery the patient came here for his right sided colon cancer. And we treat colon cancers. And we met the patient. We got a pet scan. We staged them up. We found the cancer only in the as sending colon, and we talked about all the options surgery, and chemo and radiation and combination therapy, and he chose our treatment. Only who's just adamant against surgery adamant, he did not want to have surgery for his colon cancer. And this is the work. We do is stage two cancers and kidney failure with multiple medical problems, high blood pressure cholesterol, diabetes, and he wishes our treatment only have outpatient non invasive. Passive treatment for his colon cancer with a high success rate. This is the work that we do every day. And then we're talking about a man who seventy-five from Croatia. He has widowed without children, but he has a girlfriend he had cancer the base of the tongue eight years ago, squamous carcinoma at standard radiation, another big hospitals who is fine then he had a recurrence a recurrence the tongue and he had a MRI showing that and lymph nodes, and he came here to get staged up to learn about all the options offered to remove the tongue of the floor of the mouth. Elsewhere. It was scheduled for surgery just in one week. And we offered to stage up see where the cancer is. And that's what should have been done. Even before the surgeons plan the surgery. Why would he plan the surgery to remove the tongue and the floor of the mouth in a man who had had standard radiation Kibo before without knowing where the cancer is today what we do. Do is so different. We try to understand what a person has where it is. And explain an answer all the questions. This is what we do every day at thirteen eighty four Broadway. Broadway and thirtieth street in the heart of New York City, my sector, Liederman two and.

"Iraqi soldiers continuing the fight. Did ISIS soldiers. Terrified Iraqi residents who survived the footage. We got has never been seen before anywhere. It's historic. And as you know, the army did take back the city weakening end depleting ISIS from Iraq. But I still felt like there was more to this story. Isis was able to hold the city for three years. How they do it. Explore that question during my last two days in Iraq. I found something I never would have expected. So that that kind of set you up where goes in the story goes beyond that is what I didn't expect was all of these innovations that they had learned and the scary part was they are now prepared to unleash that. So they're going in just as this generals just talking about they're going into that turtle mode, and all of these things that they've learned all these new tactics that have never been tried. I don't believe I've ever been tried on a on a battlefield. They are. They've now save that up. And they're going to unleash it. The next time they poke their heads out again. I was told by previous president that ISIS was just the JV team. Right. That's not actually the person. He did. President is defeated to true. That's true. Either one of those ethica, right? Yeah. I mean, quite obviously. Well, it'll be interesting to see how that plays out just with you know, it just makes me so nervous that people who were you know, they could tolerate President Trump being elected always said he's going to surround himself with good people know, he's obviously not foreign relations expert, but he's going to have his people around him that he'll listen to. And it sounds like that's not actually the case. Definitely didn't listen to the people. Even if they are really great people in smart. You didn't listen to them in this case? And that's that's very very worse worrisome. And you'll hear that tonight. I'd say the union, I'm sure he's going to, you know, Syria success and ISIS success. But just keep these things in mind when when you hear them talking about that Andrew your top story congressman is proposing to give the president more power power. I think we can all agree that the presidency's become a Nemec week over the last several centuries of American rule. I basically figurehead of. This point courageous Representative Sean Duffy has written legislation. He's a congressman from Wisconsin to give the president more power to raise tariffs. So normally taxation is completely vested in congress. That is what the constitution deigned, and it's meant to be the more vigorous and active branch of government. He's proposing legislation to give the president power to raise tariffs. The the problem. I have with this are multifold. I I don't want congress conceding any more power to the presidency. I don't care who the president is at the time. This isn't even a Trump thing. Congress is overtime atrophied and just gone. You want the president's gonna handle it or this happens a lot unrelated to this me know that we need to do certain things, but they're unpopular so we're just going to give a broad re-met to the EPA or whatever to clean the water, and then they'll do it. And then when they do it will go the PA for doing this, congress does this all the time it needs to actually do its job and part of its job is determining what taxes are going to be raised..
