"Doubleheader, So they lost the other one. Because you're you're looking at two. They they're up for nothing in the top of the first against the Astros in the second game. They lost earlier today. 63 in seven. So a doubleheader angels in the Astros. So you know the Angels a bad pick. But outside of that everyone else in the pennant for the American League. I have the Oakland Athletics and right now. In the American League with 20 wins, the flecks look like they're the best team in the American League. Absolutely, and with two teams make it from each division. I mean the Astros or three games out, but they're still in. You know the Indians of 2.5 games out as of the White Sox, so they're both still in right now. The Yankees are only a half game back of the Rays. So yeah, they're both going to make it and in the Blue Jays of 3.5 from that, so it looks like it's gonna be the Yankees and raise out of the alleys. For sure it would be that last team to get in would be the Blue Jays right now. I think so, Yeah, 18 and 13, and that's crazy because the Orioles air 14 14 as well. Everyone else has like 11 wins the Tigers of Royals of Rangers, the Mariners and the Angels. So like Blue, Jay said, 14 13 probably going to be a playoff team the way it is in the American League in the National League. That's what I had the Reds and the Cubs in the central Not great, Bob. Well, the Cubs they're they're They're fine. The Reds are 11 16. There's 6.5 games, backside in the East, The Nationals and the Braves, which the National's not looking hot in the 11 15 right now. In the West, the Dodgers and the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks are the worst team in the West. I did not have the Padres as a team that would be in the playoffs, and they have been fantastic. One of the best teams kind of the watching baseball 18 and 12. In the wild card. I had the Mets and the Cardinals. The Mets right now in contention. Some 500, though, and the Cardinals above 500, but they've only played 18 games. The Cubs have 18 wins. So this point this season my ale MVP was Matt Chapman. I'm sure right now if they voted to be Nelson Cruz because Cruz has been fantastic home runs so far. And the MVP. I had one Soto. Probably it would be Fernando Tat's junior. That's what you know. So does hitting 400 right now. So it always been. Your team's horrific. Yes, you've been terrific, like like if you had to vote between one soda on AH, team under 500 or the exciting San Diego Padres with Fernando Junior. I'm probably voting for Todd Jr agreed. I think so, too. Yeah, but, like Nelson Cruz is at the moment running away with the ale and VP. The numbers. He's put up our incredible Yeah, right now. Nelson Cruz is I just had this up here as Tyler Chatwood got out of the inning with 37 pitches. Tyler Chatwood get through. He's third in batting average. Right now. He's Ah, first in home runs. He's second runs batted in, and he's fourth in hits right now. So, Yeah, I mean, great season, He's top five. In all these categories. He also leads the majors and weighted runs created plus 1 98. I mean, so and not only that he's pulling for first place team. The Minnesota Twins won the best teams in the American League. So is there anything from the first half of the MLB season that six out in your mind where you could kind of say, you know what? I didn't expect that that's different. That's changed. That's something I like. I I think that it's It's not that I didn't expect it, but I don't think I expected with this kind of authority. It's it's Fernando Totti's junior. I think that that's the That's going to be the star of the first half for the first month or whatever you wanna call it of the baseball season. I mean, he's got 12 home runs, He's leading majors and home runs. He's leading majors and runs batted in. He's he's just Kind of epitomizing What A cool new baseball player is supposed to be right. Like he should be the new face of baseball. He should be what Major League Baseball wants to market as the next Great player in baseball, and hopefully he keeps it up because I think that if he does, the Padres obviously have a great player. They got a good team, but I think that the game is in a good place with guys. Like him with guys like Tim Anderson with guys like Javier Baez that don't really care about these old rules, and I'm just gonna I'm just going to hit. I mean, I just see it right now. As Stanford Steve Tweets it out. He's going to be on SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt later tonight, so he's getting national exposure like baseball. Getting like. Baseball is a national sport, but we don't see baseball. Getting a lot of national exposure doesn't lead SportsCenter Tonight. I guarantee you, Luca don such is going to lead SportsCenter. No matter what he does tonight in the game, right, And we're going to carry that game at eight o'clock tonight. So no matter what, and then they're probably go too messy. And then because it's national and international issues all over the earlier sports center. Maybe that'll be then Luca Luca and the Clippers. So to see baseball getting national exposure to an interview on Sports center, they're showing Padres highlights. Obviously, there's someone based on MLB network because that's the network but to get national exposure for baseball. Is huge. And when you have a guy that's his charismatic as he is, I think that that's great for the game, and I think that that's going to be the story, especially if they do something in the playoffs. That's going to be the story of the season is the emergence off. Fernando Taxis. Junior Did you have pics for who would get to the World Series before the season started? I did not. Do you have pics? Now Who do you think you can get to the World Series? Someone stand by what I had heading into the season. I had the Oakland Athletics in the Los Angeles Dodgers. I think those are the two teams will get to the World Series before the season. I picked the Dodgers to win it all. I think the Dodgers will get to the world. Siri's in the NL is hard. A problem. I want to say the twins..

"Nelson Cruz of the Twins, the 40 year old Number 11 last night home run number 11. He's tied for the American League leading Oh, by the way, he's hitting 3 40. He's driven in 27, also of note with big sticks. The Dodgerslead Major League Baseball With 59 home runs. They have four players who have hit at least seven, led by Mookie Betts with 11 runs a scarcity for the Reds these days. I mentioned earlier and this is hard to believe. They have scored one run without the benefit of our home run over the last seven games and 56 innings fact they haven't scored a run. In the last 42 innings that didn't come on a home run. You have to go back to Thursday night. Mike Moose Takis, a third inning R B, I double other than that all the runs on home runs that Davidson Grand Slam for four on Friday night. The Wednesday doubleheader game, too. They scored five runs, all coming on Homer's Sunday. They scored Saturday scored none Sunday. They scored two, a two run homer by Suarez. Last night, They scored two a Sally home run and a Suarez home run one run in their last seven games, that either that wasn't a home run or scored on a home run. And give credit to Bobby Nightingale the inquire since a dot com they haven't produced multiple hits in an inning. In 42 innings. That would seem impossible to do. In their last four games. They have five hits, three hits, four hits and two hits. They interplay tonight Batting Tuo five as a team worst in Major League Baseball a little perspective, the major league batting average the average major league team is hitting 2 42. The Reds are hitting 205. Now. And I hesitate with this because it's a clash of a couple of things that drive people crazy excuses and analytics. Follow me. Here. Let me let me start with simple things to show you what's working against the red so far. Batting average on balls in play. That's what a team does what happens when a ball is actually put in play, not hit is Ah Homer, not a strikeout, not a walk when it's put in play. Right now in Major league baseball, the average when you put the ball in play is you hit 2 87 if you just put it in play. The Reds right now are hitting 2 20 for when they put it in play. What does that say? That says, To an extent they're heading into tough luck. Bad luck. It's due to even out And yet, I would highly recommend a piece today on Reds content, plus the website Reds content plus And this admittedly is a deep dive. I'm going to give you the cliff notes on this So your eyes don't glaze over. But out of this. There's two takeaways in this piece. One Reds left handed hitters are being killed by the shift. Now. There's a couple of different directions. You can go if that's the case, but one Reds left handed hitters are being owned by the shift that teams are employing on them right now, too. They're right handed hitters are hitting into really, really tough luck. If you look at stuff like exit velocity, you look at all the metrics. None of this should be happening. And that's not an excuse. I'm just telling you what the metrics say in terms of expected batting average, slugging all of that stuff that makes many eyes glaze over and you just pass out. But this should not be happening. That is what the Reds front office and David Bell clings to. Now the argument would be Can you really cling to that with just 33 games remaining because this is anything but A typical season. Red's content plus Take a look at who's hot Still ahead. The scoreboard is active and who that always anticipated line up. It is out as we roll on, We'll get to it. It's our nail carriers. Inside pitch. Arnell carriers your global transportation provider. "The Nelson Cruz won the Miguel so no one but when Polanco hits that home run against James Paxton and you're down one nothing are you really nervous are you even in the bottom of the first inning when you set up with runners on second and third into out and Giancarlo Stanton swing in three and only when the third base and initially you think wow infield hit for Giancarlo yanks are on the board they tie the game up even when it's overturned rightfully so because young Carlo was out well you have a really nervous when Nelson Cruz today Yankee Stadium home run it would never nervous because you'll knew deep down. that the Minnesota Twins want there to be able to get twenty seven outs at Yankee Stadium holding down this offense they did for a while. we'll give them credit for a while. you know what the Minnesota Twins did last night that they cannot do if they want to have any prayer of forget about winning this series but making this series interesting they can't make mistakes and when the labor Torres came up in a big spot bases loaded one out here we go any grounds in with double play you've got to actually turn the double play but give the Yankees credit you give the Yankees an inch they get a take fifty feet so for example in the fifth inning when you walked the leadoff hitter and then yeah hit Brett Gardner and that was exactly tell who look completely overwhelmed by the moment you think you're going to survive that against the New York Yankee offense you think you're going to be able to get good labor Torres out again in a big spot like you should have done the first time I don't think so you think you gonna be able to hold the J. lemay Hugh down because by the seventh inning two outs guys on base and bye guys on base I mean everybody on base you think you're gonna be able to get the dilemma you out they're not. so the New York Yankees did last night what they have done to the Minnesota Twins over and over and over and over again in October you know what they did he's a little bit the game that yeah you want to take a lead cool then grab a leap the people in Saint Paul yeah I get excited thanks for a second that you're gonna be the New York Yankees dream about it and then we're gonna shove it. because I was thinking back as I was watching this game and we had a lot of time to think it was a four hour game I'm not complaining about it I'm not I enjoyed it I love baseball I love playoff baseball and I also know that eventually the baseball season again and so I'm not gonna sit here complaining about for our games not I'll tell you what it's going to be tough and if you don't know this I feel bad that I have to be the one to break the news to you but the Yankees in twins are gonna play game three Monday night Minnesota and we have a start time. now everybody calm down take a deep breath before I tell you the start time the start time is eight forty all right now we got that out of the way you could be up till two AM Monday night that's fine we'll live with it. but as I was sitting there over the course of the four hours watching this game I thought about the other Yankee twin series and I thought about Joe but angle I thought about my radio partner because Joe so eloquently after jet brutal losses has a famous rant where he says you can change the players and you can change the jerseys and you can change the owner and you can change the coach but it's all the same. well that's the Minnesota Twins versus the New York Yankees in October you can change the stadium from the Metrodome to target field you can change all of the players you can change the managers but it's the same thing because I'm thinking back to all the other Yankee toward playoff games it feels like the twins have had a lead in every single Yankee to win playoff game everyone of them they believe they give you a little piece of your twin fan and then the Yankees take it from you. well let's have allies Arab moon from last night because I thought this was really really fascinating and I tried to at at Mormons kinda tweet out what I was thinking in the moment and remember this about managers in baseball. the winners write the story. so last night in a non Yankee playoff game I thought Davey Martinez went crazy daily Martinez walked the winning run on to first base with two outs in the ninth inning. it worked because after a walk they got a big strike out on Corey Seager internationals once so histories written by the winners I thought in the moment that aren Boone did a couple of peculiar things with James Paxton and then his ball pencil let's go back to the fifth inning. now we all know that the Yankees strategy with their starting pitchers based on the numbers the numbers to back this up is they really don't want their starters facing guys third time around the order they want to try to avoid that at all costs Sir James Paxton was you know okay in this game he gives up the home run to pull long ago he walked Nelson Cruz right after that I thought was really big in that first inning is that he didn't let that get twenty strikes out a tough federal ready or sorry strikes out McGill snow works through it I thought the other thing that packs ended really impressively is he over came a rare miscue by DJ lemay humor detail may you drop the pop up and I think we all thought at the moment well this could be a big play turn out to be because James Paxton was able to get a huge double play against Louise arise one batter later. gives up the home run to Nelson Cruz it is a one two three four thanks to four innings you're feeling decent about the way Paxson is patched and what's funny is your feel even better when the Yankees given three runs and actually given the lead when you're down to nothing feel great about it when you're up three two you feel real good about it so let's get to the fifth inning he's facing the bottom of the order strike said CJ crone gives up that double to arise in which young Carlos stand makes kind of a a belly flop diving attempt now at that point you're on alert because now Paxson is about to go third time around the order strikes out Mitch Garver. in he strikes out Garber for the third time I'm thinkin along with Aaron Boone I'm not thinking like me because me still thinks me still thinks I sound like a yeah I think I did that on purpose me still things that I want to get as much from my starting pitcher as possible. I am not under the belief that I have to look at third time around number stats and live and die by it but again I'm not trying to manage like myself I'm not a manager I'm a guy sitting on my couch watching Yankees twins who just loves baseball the manager I know what bloons game plan is what is made it clear third time around I want to go to my ball pencil managing with them when I say I was surprised Paxton face Polanco. I was not think about it Polanco hit a home run against packs in the first inning and remember what he did the third inning he got robbed by Erin judge get used to that the judge had a tremendous game all the way around including defensively so Polanco is one for two but could easily be true for two I'm staring at the tying run on second base no nobody cares about wins Idoling arm bones thinking himself really want to give that opportunity get the third out the fifteen who gives a damn I got my bullpen warmed up. I was surprised not because I want to take them out again if I'm the manager I don't even know my bullpen warming up in the fifth inning I'm a manager from the nineteen forties I'm John McGraw go back further I'm not available but I'm managing with him I'm thinking along those lines and so I admit I was a little surprised that Boone allowed packs interface block on it did work because political came through it was a good app that it was a nine page at bad then your ribs when a left center field to tie the game up at that point I think we all know okay he's coming out of game obviously. now he's out. so now he goes to Adam on aveeno to face Nelson Cruz nothing wrong with that that one I think we're all in agreement with right hand hitter in cruise top right hand tighter one of the great slugger is one of the more underrated sluggers in the history of the sport that doesn't mean I think he's hall of Famer all time great the city really is underrated when you think about it. so he goes to a lot of you know to face cruise and give Nelson Cruz a lot of credit because he laid off some very tough sliders from out of vino and drool walk. now here's what surprised me. he pulls out of Reno right then and there for Tommy came we now from a match up standpoint great move right because we know Tommy Kaley is essentially that left handed reliever out of the bullpen even though he's not a lefty Tommy Kaley is a right hand pitch we all know that but he's very good against lefties the splits tell you that and so Boone is deployed Kaylee throughout the regular season as a guy that would come in and get the tough lefty out here is why I did love it at the time even though work I'll admit I mean everything worked the Yankees won the came to the fore. but the reason I didn't love it it's the fifth inning. and I've got a manage knowing Hey there's a neighboring. there's a seventh inning it and who knows if this game goes along the maybe a tenth eleventh if I'm burning out of vino facing one batter. by the time I get to the sixth and seventh who am I gonna have left no more on that later because we saw what his game plan was obviously a work because keenly comes in those one pitch gets Eddie Rosario out and then leaves keenly and to start the six thing which I of course agree with because I'm not gonna burn him after one bad are either the problem is I had a one two week gives up that home run to snow a very Yankee Stadium home run walks Kapler gets the strike out on more wind and then we see will go right back to the apple but which I green and what surprised me was green gets the two guys.

"Welcome back to starting nine. Fucking doll episode eighty nine the Nelly cruise episode booms Cam we are going to be highlighting like every week. We try to we try to suck off the teams that are doing. Well. The teams that deserve the limelight. Seattle mariners. They got there as last week. Tampa Bay rays are week Minnesota Twins. It's your week the sandiego Padres. It's your week. We're going to get to those years. But as a part of the the sucking offing of these teams, we have an interview with Nelson Cruz one Nelson Cruz, I I'm thinking back to this interview that I did this was when Dallas had to fly back to LA because his wife was on the verge of pop out baby number two. So I went into this just me. Well of Dallas isn't here that means that I can talk to Nelson Cruz about his numbers against Dallas brain which in my head. I'm like, they gotta be good. I mean, a righty who mashes against the lefty who throws eighty five on a good day. I bet you his slugging percentage. Not just as opium slugging percentage has to be north of thousand. Boy was I wrong. I don't under-. Had six. I mean the moment in the interview where I come to the realization point like wait, Dallas Dallas is. Okay. They they he did a good job as low key surprised. Hi ki as little proud as proud Dallas. See I didn't. I was going to be curious. I really wanted to talk to him because it's a as a player, you always wanna know you wanna get a feel for the scouting report. What was the scouting report against you? It's not like we don't know who we are. But it's always interesting to just hear it in layman's terms from the other guy. And it's like like the scouting report for me was go to the bar all night the night before because you'll be able to hit with one eye at. Eight pm I've been fucked. I don't know like I'm gonna I'm excited about the interview because I'm into just to hear what you asked him. What is this was a, but hey, sometimes you gotta use their aggression against him crowd. Yes. I think what I was most impressed about was that. He it wasn't something where he was like, oh, I don't know. Like he he knew right away. I don't know. I think he pitched pretty well against me a guy like that who's been in the big leagues for what? I don't even know how many majorly seasons yelich sixteen something like that. Fourteen fifty minute. He's got some big league tenure answer. Remember, you know, kind of the book against the guy that he hasn't faced. He's got fifteen years in the big leagues a picture that he hasn't faced and probably I dunno eight years something like that for him to remember that. That's that's what it takes to be great. Is you you know, every single guy that you're sort of going up against so be on the lookout for that interview later in the program. But before we talk about the Minnesota Twins, the San Diego Padres. This is a team that you know, how many times have we seen a team that has they revamped their organization they've got they've got pieces in place. They make moves in the off season. And then they kinda just flounder that first year some of them we'll see teams maybe a year or two down the line sort of make these adjustments, and then they have some somewhat of a successful season. But the. Sandiego Padres entering play on Tuesday their first place. They are first place baseball team in. I think when we did our season preview. I think there are some teams that we came in. Remember like didn't have a whole lot of good things to say about most seems but with the San Diego Padres, this is a team where there's a lot of exciting young talent. And when you say exciting young talent, I don't think if if you've been not just following this team if you've been following baseball at all this year, you think about exciting young talent. I don't think the name is Manny Machado. I think it's for Nando tot tease junior. And I've even seeing Dallas Brayden tweeting about for Nando, tot tease junior..

"There is a trend toward more Merwin kansallis in the majors and every team wants one and yet at the same time not m- seemed to want that one the brand name. So I don't know whether that is because people just don't believe in Marin kansallis bat, potentially. Obviously he didn't hit as well last year as he did the before or whether it's just because people think that that skill set is more fungible more replaceable that you don't have to go out and get the guy who already plays a bunch of positions when you can just convert someone you already have in hand and say well played one position last year. But what's? Stop you from playing three or four this year NFL only because the twins had someone who could play every position. And they went out and sign someone else and said just my plea to the twins. You have Byron Buxton he signed Nelson Cruz even have Ronald Torrijos, even though he probably won't make the roster just promote acidy. Oh, and you can be the team of baseball Twitter. Make it happen. You can do it. Right. And the less bit of late breaking news here is that we'd IRS has signed a minor league deal with cardinals could be in line for the backup job to yet. Your Molina, which I think over the past decade, or so has probably been one of the least desirable jobs or most thankless jobs in baseball or from another perspective. Maybe just the easiest job because you don't have to play very much. I think that the saga of poor Tony Cruz who was Molina's backup for years and just never got into games because Molina never kicks off he has since gone elsewhere. But now that we'd IRS maybe. The guy to replace him. And we'd IRS is I think seen as a disappointing player, generally. But kind of a fascinating career. And I think maybe a guy who was kind of a victim of just a statistical mistake almost because a lot of the hype for weaders. And and there was a big scouting component to he was someone scouts like a lot. But a lot of the hype was built up because baseball prospectus projected him as like the second coming of Johnny bench or something. And as I recall a lot of that was based on just a mistake that came from translating his minor league stats in an incorrect ways that made his minor league numbers. Look even more impressive than they word. And so when you translated that into major league stats, it looked like he was ready to win an MVP award as a rookie and that didn't happen, but he's had a pretty decent career if he hadn't come with that kind of prospect luster in so I sort of feel bad for him. That that happened. And that he's had what by some measures is kind of an accomplished career. I mean, he's been in the big leagues for decades. He's been deformed all star games, rightly or wrongly. He's won a couple of Gold Gloves. That is a success in some circles. And yet he is regarded I think as a disappointing player in the last decade air Molina has qualified for the batting title nine out of ten times. It was really hard to do for a catcher. "Interviewed Heidi Nelson Cruz for World Bank job Ted Cruz. His wife. Instead, why he made a Chao on the transportation secretary, get Mitch McConnell onboard with everything too. Well, so walls walls walls. Let's wallet all off wallet. All in having mental problems. Remember back in two thousand six we did pass an act with Democrats port to build a lot of fencing some of these like these steel slats, and you know, they went back, and they were like will zone it actually caused environmental damage we had issues getting eminent domain in certain cases. So that's why they result. We've revised some of that. With the president tweeted out this morning early. Let's just call them walls from now on and stop playing political games. A gall wall is a wall. And then speaker Pelosi digs in there's not to be any wall money in the legislation. And then Trump responds back if there's no wallet doesn't work. She's just playing games. If there's no wallet doesn't work. Great. I have by the way, I have. I have the answer you do know this. There's an answer to this. How to solve this problem? Because Democrats do you need to compromise a little bit here, we need some compromise in Washington. It can't just be Pelosi V Trump and the two giants Duke it out. We're starting to suffer in the middle. Okay. We we are we the people. I have the easy answer the Democrats and the Republicans because a lot of Republicans recognize what's going on here to let's put the five boys billion dollars in for the wall. And the let's call it that okay? The wall knowing that that five point seven billion is for scanning technology for ports of entry. It's additional border agents. It's judges it's virtual walls that they've been talking about a lot. But call it the wall. Here's why I'm saying this in just bury it in the legislation. Would it really is? Because the president doesn't read the legislation gives it read it. I'm totally serious. He doesn't read any of it. So let's just say it's the wall. Everybody used those words the wall. And I'll make sure call Brian Kilmeade. So I'm FOX from France. He'll just you say the word the wall. And we'll get this thing done. We'll get the five point seven. We'll make the border more secure way, more secure, right? So let's use things that really are going to make some more scared because we already have hundreds of miles of wall in the areas where it was identified early on in these are the high risk areas. We Al Paso. Port San Ysidro. There's already walls and fencing and we have vehicle barriers. We have all of this stuff in all of the key areas that have been identified long ago and continue to be identified as the key areas where we need physical barriers. And then let's be smart about the rest of. Let's just call it the wall. Let's get this thing done four one five eight hundred eighty eight ten Tom in concord, Tom, you're on KGHM with Ethan Bearman. I agree. I think someone should go spray paint compromise on the White House because no one even uses that word anymore. But. You know? I hear from the Democrats. It seems to make it a case of it's an either or thing and even Trump. The ports of entry are old and outdated with electron surveillance, and they need to be replaced, and that that is part of the five point seven billion dollar package. It just doesn't get emphasized by Trump for whatever reason. But he he has stated that it's a full spectrum package. You know, the surveillance doesn't work without a wall and a wall doesn't work without electronic surveillance. So why why is everybody making an either or thing? Complete package you need ongoing maintenance personnel. It's. What are your thoughts verify? I actually agree with you on that too. It's very interesting when when when rational mind, sit down and have a rational discussion about it. We can come up with solution so fast, but it's such an emotionally charged topic. But one of the issues that I have heard Democrats bring up, and I think that this is a valid point. There are a pair it numbers into the multiple billions of dollars that have been allocated to the D H S department of homeland security for doing some of those repairs that you just mentioned in the just hasn't done it. So one of the questions in this whole thing should be why isn't d- d h s spent the money that they've been allocated to do these upgrades and repairs that apparently need to happen in some of these key areas. You know what I'm saying? Why are we talking about that part more to? Well, because like you said, it's become political politicized. And I don't think the left wants to look like they're on the side of immigrants because they get the majority of the votes for the Democrats. And I think they're being disingenuous to this is this is an issue for immigrants illegal immigrants. Legal immigrants more than they affect citizens of the US. Well, no hang and let me let me go. I want to run with efforts, Tom. Thank you for calling in. Because you brought up a really important point. I was talking to a guy there, actually, I mentioned this on Tucker last night on Fox News. Guy recently. He drove me somewhere, and he came illegally to the United States. Right. He crossed the border without documentation without permission. In the nineteen seventies. He started a family. His kids are all US citizens. They were all born here. He agrees with one key aspect. So he's still an I believe he's still to this day on document. And I think the I can't remember what the whole reason around that was he explained to me mount remember that detail, but what he told me was he's like look, I want border security. He's like the wall stupid, and I agree with him the walls generally stupid except in urban areas. And where there's a high flow cetera et cetera because it's a waste of money. But he said here's what we do need is. I do want all the electric surveillance. He said, and I want to scanning he said because I don't want the cartels here. Either the cartels kill me, and my people to the gangs kill me, and my people to he's like, I'm just as worried about the crime as anybody else. So that's an undocumented person who came across and has a full and complete life. He's wonderful guy. Boy, it was so fun. I love meeting people that that's the one thing. I want to caution for all the people are so angry undocument- have you really spent time getting to know people because I do and when you spend time getting to know, your fellow human beings, they're not dastardly evil. Awful people mass murderers, dastardly evil, awful people who probably really should just be locked up and kept away from the rest of us. There are people like that who are psychopaths who have no remorse, and don't view you as anything more than a piece of wood those. But the overwhelming majority of undocumented people are not that get to know them get to know, you know, like. When you connect with a fellow human being you differently. You end up having more compassion. You want to understand how to solve the problem in a way that works better. I get to know my fellow Americans too. And everything else in between. But we have to make that effort to reach one another it is so important. All right. Well, coming up in just a second is huge noses explosive. It's all over local news. We are paying way too much for gas here to fuel our cars. California lawmakers want an explanation. "For two thousand nineteen I know you're working on your your bowl predictions piece on mine won't come out probably till March. But I can tell you right now gleyber Torres is not a top ten second baseman for me in in twenty. I'm only just starting to write my dad. I have a Briton. I'm starting to jot notes. Like, hey, let you I'm looking at things this is what I like I'm gonna put this one down. I usually don't start writing those until February. And I haven't wrapped up just before we had the towers. So I put all my cards on a table. Like, this is why like this is my hate. Stop doing that. Because I have one. I should start keeping some of that my back pocket, but there are no seasons. This is your this is your year, you're going to do it Elson. Cruise is signed a contract a one year deal with a team option of fairly affordable. I think it was like fourteen million, and then a twelve million dollars team option parental with three hundred thousand dollar buyout. I mean, Minnesota got a steel on Nelson Cruz, I always feel like the entire industry kits steel on Nelson Cruz because people are frayed of the utilize only and there's been a lot of conversation on Twitter about that. As of late. What are your thoughts on Nelson? Cruz going to Minnesota wrong team great contract wrong team. I agree. Everybody does freak out about about filling utility did if you're gonna fill utility, then you just worry about drafty multi positional players around that. I mean, take take Asdrubal Cabrera if you want to getting back to your real quick about contract year, he was heading into a con. Attract your last year got back to the twenty Homer plateau when gave up contact hit home runs. He still a free agent right now. But he qualifies a second third and short and guys do things in contract years to do that. But that's what you do if you fail utility right now Nelson Cruz ADP has won twenty five that's criminally low for guy prayed, either Sicily does what he does that is criminally low has high seventy six and argue even that's too that is way below. VM? I'm Nelson Cruz apologised. I and I I was mad. I was out walking my hiking with my dog when I got the alert that he had signed with Minnesota, and I tried to jump off cliff. But it was I was just on a flat path. So that I was mad. I really wanted to be with Tampa Bay. And for Minnesota's the perfect thing. They have struggled with right handed power dosier was pretty much it for them wants to know decided to be a moron and not taking full advantage of his talent. But now that team has brought in they've got crews. They've got CJ krone now has to be an everyday first based that's not going to be good. You got Jonathan scope to you add it all of this right handed power. I'm just concerned. What that team defense is going to be bad. I mean, CJ krona's is a great target throw at first base. But he is as mobile statue over there and now's Yosano as the play the field. Yes, he can throw. But he doesn't move will. Skull either way. But we know what scope is capable of. Now, you've got all this right handed power. And I think, you know, we'll talk a little more about this later with with how this impacts and other guy in that lineup, but I like this. I mean the ballpark is made for right handed power hitters. They just haven't had enough of them. Now, they're bringing a whole bunch of man and Nelson Cruz will be the full-time D H should never have to see the field at his AG shouldn't see the field. I don't care about where they're playing interleague. You use them as a pinch hitter in those games. But there there should be the opportunity for him to keep doing what he's done..

"But the brain back them up with eleven run outburst. Off of Felix Hernandez. He gave up seven earned runs eleven total through eight innings of pitch innings of a six, six. And he's a pitching give three home runs as well on two strikeouts four walks is. I would say king Felix is not have it on Tuesday, home runs for the Mariners. I came from Nelson Cruz is thirty of the year. Kyle Seager hit is nineteenth of the season. The Rangers. Got a few jerks and pro far hit his twelfth Rubino door his fourteenth and Adrian bell trae his sixth of the season as they get the win there at home. The White Sox four to three sending, Greg. It's the win as he gets a win on the road. I can't pitch in Cassini. We'd get on the road as the Yankees got run in the. Let's see. Actually, this game this game went to deepened actress. It was tied one to one going actually into the x ratings than the keys to the top of the tenth to take a three, two lead or three one lead. And the right SOX came back and scored two more often them. So we're in a little -pez for the White Sox starter. He wins seventies of one run ball, four hits to walk six strikeout to Homer allowed. That was to McGill odd. Johar do Har his fifteenth of the season Giancarlo Stanton also it is twenty six of the year in tenth inning. That was to take the lead there. But in the White Sox came right back and got run Homer from Jose, Abreu, Zach Britain to to the games. Britain is not perfect either. He's susceptible. Sees about the it was pretty good. When five and two thirds innings of one run a lot for hits three walks, twelve strikeouts. So that's the one thing, the keys you can give you gotta give them credit though. They have. I mean, if you, if you've got to start going five innings, they have the bullpen to do it. They have Deborah Woodson's gonna have an inning Batanes as an ING. Holder gets an ending, Britain. Britain gets an ending, actually, Sonny gray wasn't the starter in this one obviously has makes sense..

"I don't like really any of the trends giving up, like I said, more hard contact, but I mean a bunch more at seven and a half per five and a half percent more and also giving up about five and a half percent more fly balls this year as well. So more hard contact more fly balls that Homer rate looks like it will be coming up. It's it's an okay spot. It's not good for awful yet, but he's already giving up three point. Six one walks per nine out if you home, runs onto those walks and it's it's gonna, look, ugly, real quick. Yeah. You talked about the treasurer Nelson Cruz, but you wanted to talk a little bit more about on. Tell me why someone Nelson Cruz you look at? I made a big deal this past week talking about the second half and I'm using air quotes for those guys. Can't see me on a while. You're listening. You know the second half of the season on Friday night when sandiego Houston took the field and we're playing their one hundred baseball game. So it's not a half its word, the word, the final stanza of the season. It's really deep, but you look at the last one, I when I look at I couple years ago, I wrote an article saying, hey, look here. You're realistic targets on what you should look for in the second half of the season. I posted a list saying how many guys it hit twenty home runs in the second half of the season. And back in that what I I wrote the list of thirteen guys at done it now. There's been forty seven, and most of them have come in the last couple of years while there's been this giant resurgence of of the ball bouncing around and launching. And everything else you wanna talk about. Right. And back then like Jose Bautista was the only guy hit thirty home runs eight did in two thousand ten and then last year of JD Martinez and Giancarlo Stanton thirty home runs in the second half, but there's been all these dunes hidden twenty plus home runs that one guy that has done at each of the past three seasons Nelson, Chris. And that's. That's what's awesome about Nelson Cruz. I made the I tweeted out something the other day saying, yeah, he's refusing to age period. A lot of people are like PD's. But yeah, he got busted for that two thousand thirteen, right? So be look at fifteen sixteen seventeen eighteen look at all the stat cast ADA. He's not slowing down at all. Not at all, and that's that's the crazy part about he's having a good year this year. And so you're trying to think, okay. Can you get twenty home runs again in the second half? Why? Not? Because the batted ball data for him is right in line with where things were where things have banned. Like we look at the last three years, his percentage of barrels fourteen. Seventeen fourteen. This year's thirteen exit below is as high as it's ever been for him. The one thing it's actually hurting them a little bit is launch. He's at fifteen percent this year last couple of years. You've been nine to thirteen. So he's been getting under the ball little bit more. This was something that. Alex Chamberlain wrote about talking about this year guys of it in the bowl harder than ever higher than ever. But the home runs aren't leaving the yard as much. We're still we're seeing that he wrote this article will back on. I think the ninth or tenth he wrote something over in Rhode aggressive on it and talked about, you look at Nelson Cruz as bad at ball data. The percentage of hard hits the expected weighted on base average on contact. All of it is right where it's been the last four years. So I am very optimistic. He's gonna do it again. If you're trying to Bank like we were just talking about trying to trade for Ryan carpenter, our prime carpenter, Matt carpenter, if we're trying to look for it. If we're trying to trade for guy in, we're looking for twenty second half home runs. I think you can get Nelson Cruz at a better price than you have to pay for Matt carpenter right now and possibly excluding. You know this weekend because he's already does damage, but this way this moving forward, somebody that's likely to hit the twenty home runs. I'm right. There with you..

"Way heradia takes a strike and it's all an one so how about that hear more heredia banning for nelson cruz so that leg is really gotta be a problem so here is heredia pinch hitting for crews and he was showing bunt any takes a strike for miller the next offer the way tries to bunt fouls that away up the first base side and account is now poland to on heredia we will wait to hear post game but that is obviously not a good sign not a good sign at all has been nursing that sort quad that he injured with a couple of weeks left in spring training down in arizona and the cactus league so crews out of the ball game right now here's a stretch ready turns the button on a two strike pitch coming up here she comes and he takes the pitch for ball one ball of two strikes on heredia and that's how much scott service wants to ready to get ready to lay down a button and get to know the third base so secret can try and tie up this game he's on deck those third base is ramirez so problem with nelson cruz and that right leg here's the pitch swing and a fly ball to discredit way left field backing up his davis stops turns weights and he makes the catch and there's one away and heredia cannot lay down the sacrifice bunt but right now our concern is with nelson cruz soar right leg has been playing on the last few weeks leading up to the start of the year here's kyle seager remember robbie still has a little bit of a sore hamstring that he suffered toward the end of spring training dial seger looking for his first base hit of the year great spot for it right here against a tough lefty and andrew miller seagull for three on the day as grounded out to kipness at second hand he is flat out twice who's.
