"But he says it could end up freezing a national Republican Party that may be ready to move on from Trump. Now, huge fatigue factor on mister Trump is really overwhelming politically and still the GOP is getting boxed in here now and that could be a long-term problem for them come 2024. The Washington state Republican Party has made no statement in response to the Trump indictments. Coraline hake, northwest, news radio. He could face up to 6 months in prison when he is sentenced in August. Grace's son, Jeremy, also took part in the riot and has pleaded guilty to the same charge. He was given 21 days in prison and supervised release, prosecutors used a photographic evidence in the case, including multiple selfies, the two of them took while committing the crime. "Hang event and you know it's interesting in two is not only that she'd been involved in wyoming. Gop politics for a while. She was actually an adviser to chain at one point when she was trying to unseat. Then senator mike enzi and so this is going to be a particularly nasty fight playing out into nathanielsz broader point. Wyoming's very red state. I think voters are kind of looking for a signal of who back. Who isn't cheney. And if the party establishment in the state gets behind taken it. I think that will be quite hard for cheney to mount a fight against how splintered is the field at the moment. do we have any polls in that. Primary had other candidates who are not cheney or haeggman cloud and. I'm still in this race. And i'm gonna fight till primary day to try to win this thing if cheney's hail. Mary is just a real splintering of the vote to the point that she can win with a third or less of the vote. How realistic does that scene. so gaylon. it's hard to say at this point. how the field will solidify. We know that two challengers have already dropped out given trump's endorsement. But you know. We looked back in march at the ten house. Republicans who had voted for impeachment and of course cheney was one of those representatives and you know immediately people running from her right in wyoming against her now. Those two candidates at the time you know were more fringe elements within the party but important point here. Is that the state party within wyoming a lot more conservative than even the national republican party that we think of and so to the extent that cheney benefits from a fractured feel. The field is still fractured. It could remain that way but if we are seeing movement around hagan and that really could then be hard for cheney to overcome all right. Well we will see what happens next. As far as i understand that there are still six challengers and the race. We'll see how close it gets to a two person race by primary day. But let's move on and talk about biden's new vaccine mandates nathaniel. Are we going to say goodbye to you for that segment but thank you so much for joining me today. Thinks gail thanks kaylynn. We could have taken the governorship, but it's being blown because Republican National Committee, not behind Larry Elder. He's way ahead of everyone else way I had of everyone else, but they don't want to support him or endorse him. I think I know the reason why 1 802 225222. Let's go back to the phones. Linda, Welcome to Leo to point out. Yeah, I'm here now I'm a former chairman of the L. A County Republican Party. I served three terms. I also was on the board of California Republican Party, and they have a lot of limitations that are making it a problem for them to endorse And when I was chairman And on the board, I I saw that problem and a few other chairman and I got together and went to the county Chairman Association and made a proposal that we endorsed. We managed to get the signatures a couple of the other chairman, I went around the other thing and made it so we were able to endure Linda can I can I appreciate your titles and everything. I'm talking about the big boys. The National Committee. I'm fully aware of, and and and that's what I'm talking about. So I wanna make sure we stay on point because the state GOP ended up with no endorsement. Okay? That was embarrassing to me. That was embarrassing, Uh, do that. That's what I'm telling you. They didn't happen to Belinda. I'll go back to what I said the National Committee, the National Republican Party. Has not gotten involved or endorse Larry Elder. That's a fact. I know that and that's what we're talking about. Do you agree or disagree with that? Do you agree or disagree with they? I think they should have an inverse. They should have done it. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, Linda. It's not about what they should have done. It's what they did not do. They did not endorse Larry Elder. That's the issue today. Thank you very much for your call. You see, folks, I I don't know who only got an hour. It is undisputed. That's the national Republican Party did not endorse Larry Elder. Okay, please. I art Leo Lewis. We do our homework. There is no stake Republican Party in my opinion. Kevin McCarthy, Kevin McCarthy, Kevin McCarthy, Kevin McCarthy. He is the number one leader of Congress Minority Leader He will be speaker of the House. Where is he? At? Come on. I'll go again and quote John Phillips for the 19th time. We had a golden opportunity to take the governorship. And Republicans are playing the same foolish game of this organization like he did in Georgia when we lost to Republican seats in Georgia. You know why? I said it might note. I'm a trump Republican. I said that at the top of the hour, you know why Because Trump did not give a heck about the Republican so call country club rhinos. Let me give you a perfect example. Kevin Faulkner. Ellie type bait boat. They tell you to vote? No on the recall, But they say if you decide to vote for question Number two, we want you to pick Kevin Faulkner. You know why? Because he's a rhino. That's why I'm a Donald Trump supporter called Donald Trump took no prisoners within the Republican Party. The Republican Party trying to do duck the Republican Party tried to sink Donald Trump more so than the Democrats. I got news for you folks. Just because you gotta or in front of your name. "S weren't important time in american history. I've touched on this area in a few previous episodes in particular the one on the election of eighteen. Twenty four and on the six political eras in american history episode by the time of the eighteen. Twenty election the federalist party had completely fallen apart president. James monroe literally ran unopposed for president in eighteen. Twenty four all four. The candidates for president who received electoral votes came from the same party. The democratic republican party after this election the democratic republican party to fell apart and they were replaced by democratic party which was led by andrew jackson. This is the direct descendant of the modern day political party with the same name in eighteen. Twenty eight the incoming president was john quincy adams and he ran against jackson but the party. He was associated with wasn't really an organized party. It was alternatively called the national republican party the anti jacksonian party and the plain old republican party although this was not related to the modern day party jackson dominated the political landscape during this era from eighteen. Twenty eight to eighteen thirty six. He was president and even after his presidency. He cast a long shadow over american politics. The opponents of jackson were at i simply known as anti jacksonians because they were united in their opposition to jackson. It wouldn't be correct to say that the anti jacksonians were simply a revival of the federalist party. By this time there had been a complete realignment. In the american political system some democratic republicans went on to form the new democratic party but some also became anti jacksonians. The beginning of the whig party began with the nullification crisis. Congress had passed a series of tariffs in eighteen twenty eight and eighteen thirty two which dramatically increase the taxes on imported goods. This was vehemently objected to in the south which called it. The tariff of abominations as the south was highly dependent on agricultural exports

"Of government but the libertarians. The left wing green party. The conservative constitution party and other smaller parties received minimal support and appear on the ballot in only some states most political scientists and historians divide the development of our two party system into five euros. The first system consisted of the federalist party which supported the constitution's ratification and the anti federalists sometimes called the democratic republican party or jeffersonian republicans who oppose the powerful central government that the constitution established when it took effect in seventeen eighty nine. The federalists had grown from a network begun by george washington treasury secretary alexander hamilton pushing for a strong united central government close ties with britain a centralized banking system and links between the government and men of wealth. Although james madison wrote the federalist papers together with hamilton and although he inveighed against political parties madison also co-founded the democratic republican party with jefferson who strongly opposed hamilton and his agenda. The jeffersonians came to power in eighteen hundred and the federalists managed to survive in the northeast. But they're elitist refusal to support the war of eighteen. Twelve verged on secession and suffered hugely when that war ended. Well the second party system eighteen twenty eight to eighteen fifty four followed the splintering of the democratic republican party two major parties were left to dominate the landscape. The whig party led by henry clay that grew from the national republican party and advocated the primacy of congress over the executive branch as well as policies of modernization and of economic protectionism. The early eighteen fifties saw the collapse of the whigs largely as a result of a major intra-party split over slavery resulting from the kansas nebraska. Act the democratic party led by andrew. Jackson supported the primacy of the presidency over other branches of government and opposed both the bank of the united states as well as modernizing programs that they feared would build up industry at the expense of farmers and an agricultural then nation. The third party system. Roughly eighteen fifty four to the mid. Eighteen nineties was characterized by the emergence of anti-slavery republicans and adopted many of the economic policies of the whigs such as national banks railroads high tariffs homesteads and aid to land grant colleges civil war and reconstruction issues polarized the parties until the infamous compromise of eighteen seventy seven which ended the progress of reconstruction. Both parties then became broad voting coalitions with the race issue pulling newly enfranchised. African american men called friedman into the republican party. While white southern men called redeemers joined the democrats the democratic coalition also had catholic emigrants and pro business conservative quote copperheads close quote. The republican coalition had businessmen shopowners skilled craftsmen clerks and professionals the fourth party system eighteen ninety six to approximately nineteen thirty two saw major shifts in the central issues of debate and corresponded with the progressive era dominated by republicans it began after the republicans. Blame the democrats for the panic of eighteen. Ninety three which later resulted in william mckinley. Victory over william jennings bryan in the eighteen ninety six presidential election domestic issues included government regulation of railroads and large corporations the protective tariff the role of labor unions child labor the need for a new banking system. Primary elections women's suffrage and control of immigration. The fifth party system emerged with franklin delano roosevelt's new deal coalition beginning in nineteen thirty three as parties separated themselves out into more specific liberal versus conservative positions liberal opposition republicans such as nelson rockefeller and jacob. Javits gained major attention but lost influence steadily after nineteen sixty four in the sixth party system. Nineteen sixty eight to the present. We saw the end of a historical alignment the so called. Southern strategy shifted southern democrats to the republican party as nixon was winning landslides ideologies diverged further apart with new voter coalitions including the emergence of the religious right and with southern whites voting for republican candidates in the nineteen fifties under lyndon johnson and his great society plan the democratic party slowly. Lost dominance in southern states until nineteen sixty six generally democrats tend to be strongest in the northeast and the west coast and in major american urban centers trade unions african americans and latinos are disproportionately democratic. And in twenty four. It was the largest political party with seventy two million registered voters out of one hundred sixty nine million claiming affiliation. The framers of the constitution intentionally omitted mention political parties from the founding document. Because they desperately wanted to avoid the divisions that had torn england apart in the civil wars of the seventeenth century and many of them saw parties or factions as they call them as corrupt relics. Of the monarchical british system george washington's family had fled england precisely to avoid the civil wars so it's not surprising that he said quote however political parties may now and then answer popular ends. They are likely to become potent engines. By which conning ambitious and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government period close quote alexander hamilton called political parties quote the most fatal disease of popular governments and also said quote. We are attempting by this constitution to abolish them period. Close quote james. Madison wrote that quote. One of the functions of a well constructed union should be its tendency to break and control the violence of factions close quote but jefferson who had been serving a diplomatic post in france during the constitutional convention thought. It was a mistake not to provide for different. Political parties washington ran unopposed to win the first presidential election and chose his cabinet to be inclusive of differing political viewpoints jefferson as secretary of state hamilton as treasury secretary two competing visions for america although madison sided with hamilton in the defense of the constitution. He strongly opposed hamilton's ambitious financial programs which he saw as concentrating too much power in the hands of the federal government so in seventeen ninety one madison and jefferson joined forces to form. What would become the democratic republican party forerunner of today's democratic party by the mid seventeen ninety s jefferson and hamilton had both quit washington's cabinet while the democratic republicans and the federalists spent much of washington second-term viciously attacking each other and competing newspapers. Some historians say washington state for a second term only to keep these two parties from warring with each other afraid that the union itself would shatter but by then the damage had been done after the fractious seventeen ninety six election when john adams narrowly defeated jefferson adams who also said quote there is nothing which i dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties this is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our constitution close quote adams nonetheless moved to crush opposition by making it a federal crime to criticize the president or his administration. Jefferson retorted by toppling. The unpopular atoms four years later when democratic republicans won both congress and the presidency. Then jefferson fired. The top half of all federal employees keeping only clerks and customs agents destroying the federalist party beyond all possibility of rebuilding but the two party system revived itself with andrew jackson's democratic party and solidified in the eighteen fifties after the founding of the republican party. The two party system we know now has locked into place by eighteen sixty on the brink of civil war and has remained in.

"I'm day frame and at 5 46. This is morning edition from NPR News. I'm Rachel Martin and I'm Noel King. Good Morning, House Republicans voted to remove Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney from party leadership because she keeps telling the truth. About President Trump telling a lie. We've heard all about this from Washington, D C. But what do people in Wyoming think with me now? Is Bob back? Who's been covering politics in Wyoming for more than 35 years? Bob, that is a long time. Good morning. Good morning. What are you hearing from people there? It's mixed. Many believe she's been shafted. And then there are others who wanted to resign and they've wanted this ever since she voted for impeachment. Here's Shelby back, told of Gillette, Wyoming, who wants her out? I think she handled herself in a very poor way, and I'm thanking God that finally the Republicans stood up and said This is not okay. This is not how you act. This is not how you represent your side. US. That position is shared by most major Republican Party officials in the state who voted to censure her earlier this year. Now, I should say our governor and other top elected officials in the state have been relatively quiet. Then there's a group that is not happy with her position surrounding Trump about who believe she still has stature and can represent the state. Well, this is Charlene Campbell in from a rural area in northeastern Lambing, who does not want to lose her. I think it is going to hurt Wyoming. We are small in number, so we need to be very firm and vocal in our voice in the representation that we do have And so when we lose that status, I think we risk getting pushed to the back. Very nice to hear the voices of list Cheney's constituents. I wonder, also Republican leaders in Wyoming. Do they stand with the National Republican Party and supporting Donald Trump? Or do they want to break with him? The Republican leadership in Wyoming definitely stands behind Trump that things can differ across the state. I think there's many who think the party's moved too far right and prefer Republicans like the Cheneys. Course, a lot of us remember former Senator Alan Simpson, those types of Republicans. But right now the party is being controlled by those who are not fans of moderates and who want elected officials to do what party officials want. And I think the next several months we're going to be interesting to watch as we head into the election. Yes. And speaking of that was Cheney will face reelection next fall. Do you think she can win again? I doubt this is going to hurt her. I think there are many moderates and even Democrats who have praised her stance. And since we likely won't have viable Democratic candidate next year, Miami does have open primaries, so I wouldn't be surprised to see many of them bowed in the Republican primary. Then we've heard from people that aren't happy with her. But we'll still supporter because Thea, other announced candidates don't excite them so Right now. My opinion is that she would have an excellent chance of winning because it's a lot of ball game left. Okay, so essentially saying, though, Bob that there are not enough Republicans in Wyoming who are pro trump to oust her from from her, I think that's probably accurate and plus, there's a lot of time for her to work on this. You know, this is if you want to use a football analogy, the first quarter she's gone over a year before our primary election. She'll be able to work with local party officials. She's obviously gonna bang in the Biden administration here for a little bit. I think that at the end of the day when you look at all the candidates in the race, and there's probably going to be more than the five or six we have now We'll split across that that vote split will take place, and I think that will benefit her. Bob back. The news director at Wyoming Public Radio, This is morning edition from NPR News. I'm Noel King, and I'm Rachel Martin. Head over to Joe McConnell, just ahead of the California report with a look at Bay Area traffic.

"He gonna run in this time. I mean, so also as a Republican, independent Democrat, But, you know, I looked up his voting with Nancy Pelosi. 100% of the time in Congress. I thought, Heck, maybe he gives the Green Party a chance. He certainly voting that way, so we'll see what happens. You know? Uh, I'm not sure. If the greater threat to our country Is Democrats. Or bad Republicans. Go back and look at the case of Charlie Crist. The year was 2010. Rubio was the tea party candidate. I'm not a Rubio fan. I know. Some people are 2008 was the election of Barack Obama. When Obama is Elected. He immediately begins the global warming push. One of the carbon exchange. And Obama care. Along with a number of other radical proposals. That led to a grassroots reaction, which came to be known as the Tea Party. Charlie Crist was one of those guys had been Long time entrenched Republican. And he was supported by John Cornyn of Texas and John McCain and the Republican Senatorial Committee. Now. Why would the Republican Senatorial Committee that's supposed to be getting us 51 Republicans in the majority? Why would they be getting involved in a primary? One thing you have to understand. The National Republican Party. Doesn't want to win a majority. They want to win a majority of their guys. And if they can't have that They'll sabotage the whole game. That's what the Lincoln Project is all about. That's why they're still making videos yesterday and producing them. Even after one of their co founders. Was diddling kids. It doesn't matter. These people are useful to sorrows Pelosi and the left. Liz Cheney. They're talking about taking Liz Cheney out of a leadership position. And Nancy Pelosi is asked what she thinks of Liz Cheney and she says she's courageous. When Nancy Pelosi is complimenting you. You are not a good Republican. That's how you know That's how you know you are a bad person is when Nancy Pelosi is calling you courageous. You are a useful idiot to the left. I read somebody wrote. I can't believe The New York Times is saying nice things about a person named Cheney. Wait a minute. Did you think they don't really like Dick Cheney? You think they don't really like George W. Bush? You think they don't really like Mitt Romney and John McCain. Oh, yes, they do. These people are very useful to them. These were the Washington generals to the Democrats. Harlem Globetrotters. Globetrotters. Don't hate the generals. They love the generals. Because the general's occupy a place on the court that make you think There is a sporting chance that the Harlem Globetrotters might lose. I think they even lost a timer to over the 80 years. Just so you know it could happen. And if you don't know any better. You show up at the game. It's like grave digger. You thought to yourself. I like grave digger Better than all of them. Oh, you do. Do you have that Come about, uh, ice like grave digger Grave digger Wind. He did my choice. One You don't You don't think that was prearranged. It's all pre arranged. It's all pre arranged and we're all in on the game. Except for you. You keep thinking. That you're going to have some sort of input on the process. And occasionally you end up picking a candidate. That's not their candidate. That's why when Todd ache and won the Republican primary in Missouri Karl Rove had to come out and destroy him. And that's how we ended up with Claire McCaskill, who ended up sharing Barack Obama's campaign. You see, we keep losing the Senate seats over and over and over again. Because the inside Republicans, the Washington General Republicans keep telling us. Oh, we can't have that Republican If we have Donald Trump. If we have Ted Cruz. They had dinner together last night. By the way at Mar a Lago. If we have Donald Trump, we have Ted Cruz or We have this Republican or Rand Paul, Iran Polar Mike Lee, if we have the wrong Republican in there We'll lose all our elections. So we have to have good Republicans like like Mitt Romney. You know the Republicans, it'll roll over. And let the Democrats win. So John Cornyn and John McCain. And the establishment Republicans. Came out to help Charlie Crist join their ranks in the Senate. And the Republican grassroots voters in Florida said no. And they defeated Crist. So here's a guy telling them that he's out too. Represent them. Their values. He's one of those. This is what Republican establishment guys do. They show up at the Fourth of July. They wear the flag lapel pin. They say I'm for prayer in the schools and a balanced budget. I'm for America Patriotism. While they vote with the Democrats and refuse to fight back. There for all the wars but always in the name of supporting the troops. There for all the expenditures but always in the name of investing in the country. They're for everything the Democrats before. If they're going to be for everything the Democrats are for. Why do we need them? Charlie Crist and his metamorphosis from supposed Republican insider that that Cornyn and McCain wanted to now avowed Democrat. That's all you need.

"Rush Limbaugh, folks right on target, as always. Tweet from James Woods. At going what we've been talking about. James Woods says, And just like that rioting and looting has ceased overnight. By the way, that's not true. It's just your friends in the press have stopped reporting on it. Now that Beijing Biden is in the Oval Office. And now that half of the country That pummeled America, like a battered wife is telling her to put on her sunglasses, Hide her black eye and be a good girl and come together as one. Her answer is go blank yourself. Hence the discussion of Texas. Hence the discussions of Article five. And we're in this alone. My friends. We're in this alone, the conservative movement and those with endured the punishment from left wingers. Rioters. And mobs. For continuing into the the Biden administration. Yeah. Listen to this. This is how credible the news media is. North Carolina Republican lieutenant governor Verbally annihilated in NBC News affiliate for its race baiting depiction of him as a KKK member. Simply because he opposes the left's condescending. Infant infant, ill ization of minorities as perpetual victims. By the way, the lieutenant governor of North Carolina is black. And they depicted him as a KKK member, a so called news organization. Uh huh. Meanwhile, as I said, we're alone. As many of you believe in this audience. The job of elected leaders is to reflect the will of their constituents. When you are a Democrat, socialist, you elect somebody to make decisions for you. Not based on what you want. But you say, Tell me what to do. Cradle to grave entitlements. We all know what you folks in the left her about. So you elect people to tell you what to do. We get it. Those are the conservative side. The ledger do not We elect people to reflect our will in government, whether it be on the local level or on the federal level. One such individual who is elected To represent her constituents will and put their constituents fully expected her to do so is a woman by the name of Liz Cheney. Liz Cheney decided To lodge a vengeance vote against President Donald J. Trump based on ignorance. An impeachment vote, based on the fact that she believes that Trump incited a riot with his speech on Capitol Hill on January 6th. Which he did not subsequent information coming out from the FBI and from the D. C. Police. Indicated that this attack was planned. Well ahead of time arrest made of a BLM and teeth a thug because of the riot. The breach. On the premises he's arrested for that undermines the idea that all they were all Trump supporters as so many irresponsible so called reporters have put out there. They're echoing AOC. Who was a left wing nut bag who hasn't met the truth ever in her life. She's a propagandist, and she's being accurate by people in the press who should know better? But Reporting. The truth isn't what they're about, Is it? So let's Cheney Now enjoys 10% support. In the state of Wyoming. 10% this Congresswoman 12. I think it's up to 12 10 or 12. Don't quote me. Several counties have voted to censure Liz Cheney because she did a little vote of vengeance rather than voting. Her constituents will So The Republicans had a meeting. Because there were several Republicans who wanted to remove her off of Her leadership position because some Republicans and let me stress some believe that it is wrong for an elected leader to vote against the will of their constituents. The majority of Republicans don't see it that way. The majority of Republicans voted for Liz Cheney. This is now a Republican and Democrat position. That elected leaders are there to do there will not the will of the American people. The vote was 145 to 61. 145 Republicans, not conservatives, because the idea that a elected leader is to do the will of the people is a conservative ideal. Not ever not a Republican ideal, not anymore. 1 45 to 61. Liz Cheney quote unquote easily. Survived. And the Republican Party in Washington, D. C. Has affirmed their belief that elected leaders are there to do their will. Not the will of the American people. Is it any wonder that the Republican Party is now the third party in America? Behind a political party that has even been officially established yet the Patriot Party To those Republicans, I say not one damn dime from me. Not ever again. I mean, I'm gonna donate to some local conservatives who I can attest are conservatives. In the state of Texas. But to you folks on the federal level, not one more damn time. As you all sit back. And allow one of your members Marjorie Taylor Greene to be stripped of her committee assignments. While simultaneously the White House press secretary has tweeted out a gay slur and You're all fine with it. Because you all have adopted the Beijing Biden Outlook. He was just saying that Biden wouldn't wouldn't have won that election when the won the primary without him. A bull craft I call complete bull crap. They're just fine with Biden being in there that this is this is it must be because they think that Biden is actually going to lead which is really Wrong? No, I think they're fine because it's back to business as usual, which means hand in the cookie jar and they get all the access and make all the money right When they're this isn't about the country, it's about them. Buzzers back. Good talk. Do you have a joke? Did you hear about the burglar who fell into the concrete mixer? No, He's a hardened criminal. Now it's a good one. That's the, uh that's a good one. So having update on the ghost in my house? Oh, yeah, I remember that. Yeah. The other day The spam goes. Yes. I told the story the other day that I had this can of spam, Which is what you put on the Oh, cam, you and Pam, not Spanish, Pam. What you put on the cooking the cooking spray? Yes. And it magically fell off the shelf and into the sink. And then, as a result, the woman associate became completely convinced the house is haunted, and she fills my head with all this stuff. And what if it's a bad ghost from good and then she just goes right to bed. Okay, Now I'm locked up all night sleeping with the lights on to defend the house. Well, my dad, we talked about this on the air the other day and within a minute. My dad is flooding me with text messages in all caps. You don't have a ghost. I have the answer. Call me a seriously Get off the air as the answer. He proceeded to go three. Ever seen the movie JFK? Oliver Stone? Yeah, We're Kevin Kevin Cosner, and he's doing this. Dramatic court room breakdown of the magic bullet back and tend to the left. Yes, Dad. Proceed to go on this 30 minute. Kevin Costner asked. Breakdown of how this can of Pam got off the shelf. And into the sink wasn't a mouse. He claims now This is fascinating. And my dad was a faint trained federal investigator. So he's not one to jump to conclusions that the space of the span the Pam Gets like the there's grease left on it when you touch it after you use it right, And the show was a roller shelf, and he does that mean a roller shower was it was like individual metal bars. They're not. It wasn't like one solid shelf there. Three It's a shelf, but they're three individual metal bars that make up a shelf, and he claims that the grease on the pan that when there's any sort of vibration, it will move forward. That we hadn't noticed it and move forward to the point where it finally fell off the shelf. But what what was causing the vibration? Well, it's none of your business. I still think you have mice. I think there's a ghost, but Oh, my God, I love your dad's explanation. Oh, he broke it down. There was Scientific evidence could've been episode of forensic files from the Daily Mail. This is a shocking story. Now you remember that many people believe that if Biden was elected that all the violence would stop? Yeah, well, because I mean, it's really just white supremacists that air the raging lunatic violence creators and we tried it because I saw these people on social media people who I knew didn't believe with Biden stuff, but whether it was white guilt or stupidity or whatever. They generally believed that That if we just put a Democrat it was all about Trump. And if if we just got rid of Trump would all stop you ready for this jelly ready from the daily mail? Aunt Eva Rioters smashed windows of Portland's Democrat Party headquarters, burned US flags in Denver and vandalize storefronts in Seattle. Just hours after Joe Biden was sworn in. I don't understand. What are you saying? Why would Antifa be mad at Joe Biden? All the stuff they claimed the trump people we're going to do. They did it. That's so weird. It's so weird that they are just horrible, violent thugs who mean to cause mayhem and destruction. And it has absolutely nothing to do with anything except that they're psycho in Portland. One of the signs read. We don't want Biden. We want revenge. Oh, my God. So there's gonna be. I mean, this is not gonna end And the key will be how do the local leaders handle it? Because I can tell you right now that if they learned anything from the summer, they should have learned that just arresting these people, throwing him up behind bars and then immediately bailing them out is not effective. Kamila Harris will raise their bail money They need to be locked away. For a long time. A really long time. This is such a monumental day, one of the speakers told the crowd in Portland. Because today is the day we dump Trump, but we need to embrace resistance to the fight is just beginning. Wow. All right. Good luck with that. Biden's I hate to sound like a broken record. But I I really don't know how to feel about this because I was so right. Wait what? You were so right. This isn't ever going to stop. Oh, yeah. No, it's not. And these stupid idiot. Suburban People. Felt that if they just did this is by being told every evidence to the contrary telling them no and be told No, but people like us. They get it anyway. And now you've just made it worse. Yeah. Now, let's work made it worse. And you know what they're going to do next? I mean, because you know, one of the thing one of the things that Joe Biden did on day one was decided I'm going to just have, like a moratorium on deportations. So now we're gonna have this giant care of, and people were just gonna let him right in. And then we're gonna have all of these people who cannot make a living because the economy is in shambles, and it's going to get worse under Biden and the crazy ideas he's got with $15 minimum wage and so on. It's gonna get worse. People are going to be poverty stricken. They're going to get angry and then you know what angry people do. They get together with other angry people, and they cause a lot of this mayhem. That's what's gonna happen. That's what we all get to look forward to. Don't blame me. I voted for Jordan's. You did not well, some sad news for us Well, good news because it wasn't Jason Hammer but from the Indy star. One winning ticket was sold Wednesday for the Powerball drawing Nord for the Powerball drawing worth $731.1 million or a cash value of 546.8 million. Wow. So somebody wanted somebody if they take the cash payout, 1 $546.8 million last night. That is amazing. Do we know anything about that person? The winning ticket was purchased in Maryland. One ticket matched all five white ball numbers with the power play, which was also sold in Maryland and is worth $2 million. So somebody won 56 546.8 million and another person $12 million, So those people are also going to be ridiculously belligerent and awful people. I mean, I hope I just hope hope hope that it was somebody worthy a total of 12. Other tickets matched all five white ball numbers and are worth $1 million. Those tickets were sold in California, Georgia, Illinois, Maine, Michigan, New Jersey and Oregon. So luckily no one we know what do you mean? Luckily, well, we don't have to deal with them. Yeah, it's true. Like sudden millionaires, man. They're the worst of it. Is it bad that I saw this story when I had opened my phone this morning to get news stories for the speed round and saw that there was a winning when winning Powerball ticket?.

"An impeachment manager for the House and the Clinton impeachment in the late nineties. If you were in Congress now. Would you have voted for the for the Trump impeachment? It certainly was much more consequential than the case against Bill Clinton. All right. Very serious allegations. The impeachment is something that is both a legal equation, but it's also a political equation. And I did not believe that with the remaining weeks that were left in President Trump's term that that served our country well to go through the House impeachment Now that the House has impeached President Trump Either. The house can hold the articles impeachment there, but once they send him over to the Senate, the Senate trial is triggered. And there's no option about that. And so we're gonna go through a very challenging time and heavy gone through the impeachment before I do think it's important that the Senate here both the legal arguments about that about what happened, but also the facts and make a judgment and I think at this point, the outcome is unpredictable. After the riot in the U. S Capitol. You had this to say about President Trump. It's going to diminish that cult of personality. I think it will help bring our party back to policy and conservatism. Which raises the question, Governor. Where does the Republican Party the National Republican Party go from here? And how much cloud do you think Donald Trump? We'll have us an ex president in the GOP was great question, and first of all, the GOP had a very successful election. Yes, we did not win the presidency, but it every other level. We had success and gain seats, so conservatism and the Republican Party is alive and well. Right now. We are fractured as result of President Trump and how he has handled it. The post election results and challenge the electoral college and that's has some division but our party will come back together. We're gonna have a tough six months or more coming up. We're gonna have a lot of soul searching. There's going to be done, and it's gonna be a fair debate as the direction of the party both in terms of Trump's influence over it, But it's also gonna be about policy and trade and foreign policy and and invite his agenda. So I welcome that policy debate and I think we ought to get back to the conservative principles that have made our party the majority party and hopefully it will move away from that. Personality driven that's led us to where we are right now under President Trump. Finally, governor. I want to switch subjects on you. Arkansas has given out 46% of the covert vaccine doses that you have gotten so far. I want to ask it. What do you think of the Trump plan as it has worked so far? We're getting the vaccine into people's arms. What was your reaction when you found out that the Trump administration, in fact, has no reserve supply of the vaccine? Despite what had been promised to you and briefly dance or all of these. What do you think of the Biden Vaccine plan? As you've heard it so far. Well, we want to get the vaccines out that we were disappointed that there wasn't going to be an accelerated delivery of vaccines to our state and We were not counting on that in our current delivery system, but we wanted more because right now we're going into teachers those age 70 and over and we don't have the supply. Get to get them all vaccinated. Hopefully, that will increase with our great pharmaceutical industry and they're manufacturing capacity, but he's got to increase in terms of President Biden's plan. I've met with their transition team a couple of times on this, and they're looking for ways to accelerate that. But The bottom line is they're dependent upon our manufacturing capacity, and if we can't be fat up, then it's gonna be a tough couple of months and trying to get a limited supply out to everyone that's in need. We're doing everything we can to accelerate the delivery of the vaccines to our population, So I expect our current percent about 40% will go up. We're getting our systems in better place. There's a greater acceptance of that, and It's going well. We just need more supply to get it into arms quicker. Governor. Thank you. Thanks for joining us. Always good to talk with you, sir. He creates good to be with you today. Up next a live report on Joe Biden's plans. Once he takes office, and we'll talk with his top White House economic adviser when we come right back. Have.

"Sean came up with a great name of a Have a new party, the Independence Party. Not independent party independence. Party. I kind of like that. Let's get Tonto north of Waco. Cindy is calling and Cindy. Welcome to Krystle Saito Show. If this Herds of Trump and Trump supporters is allowed. To happen on becomes the call of the day from the establishment Republicans. What will be the Net effect? Do you think I think that brand loose supporters. Of the Republican Party is the Trump supporters. That's what I believe. And I believe the Republican Party has a problem that they are the ones that are refusing to change and become the American People Party. Let me praise us another way. If the party of Adam kissing her and the party of Liz Cheney and the party of Mitt Romney. Takes this purging of Donald Trump purging of his supporters takes this tack. How willing will you bto donate to the Republican Party on the national level? Will not donate and I've donated money in the last four years, five years. Double money. I've donated money every year For the last five years. I got a note from somebody just like you. Who said how dare the Republican Party of the of the National Republican Party. Send me a notice asking for money from me when their members are turning on the president and his supporters. That's correct. That's exactly how I believed and also swallowing the false media narrative that the majority of that protest Was was violent on on the capital. We all saw it. We all have the video over. 100,000 folks showed up and peacefully protest ID and we condemn the relative few 100 who broke away And committed lawless acts. And we have been very clear from the very beginning. If we're going to condemn BLM and antifa violence and thuggery and killing, we're going to condemn it when anybody else does. I agree. I agree with that. The the anti for that, uh, that's been going on on nationwide. And they clearly not done anything about it. They've not called him out. They've not the Republican Party. You know, Some of some of the members have The Democrat Crap Party has not. I know and it's about it and we went with that. Did you hear the sound bites? We played Democrats using insurrectionist language promoting violence language, Yet they keep their social media platforms and the media refuses to hold them accountable. If this congress were consistent, they would impeach Camilla Harris on day one for her calls to continue the violence at the height of BLM in anti V violence in the summer. But they're not going to do that. Are they now? They're not, And I think the Republican Party is part of the problem as a whole. That's what I'm talking about. I'm not becoming that they don't want to be the American People Party. They want me to say that quick, You know, they want to just wanted to stay the same. And I don't want anything to change. And I think we are. I think we ought to take a I think we're gonna take a picture of Adam kissing his lip prints on the on the rear end of Nancy Pelosi. We really ought to get a picture of that soon. Hey, Cindy. Thank you very much for the call School little further north to Dallas. Joe. Welcome to Krystal's Saito's show if the Republican Party goes with the purge Donald Trump and purged in on Trump's supporters. Mentality that the New York Times says that they're doing uh what would be your reaction, sir? Chris, our first would question How can they impeach someone so quickly? It reminds me of a modern day it'll lynching. I mean, everything you've just brought up should be brought up in the trial and the question Where were all these? Concerns for all of the violence throughout the several months have been all right and tell me where the president incited violence whatsoever. You have to have incited length with language and I played for you language The Democrats have used to incite violence from B 11 antifa and they get off scot free. However, the president says peaceful and patriotic And he is going to be impeached for it. Well, I hope it doesn't happen, and I hope that they can go in no time, So it's gonna happen. It's going to happen. The Democrat I saw it with Mark Halperin. Believe it or not, yesterday the show, he said, nothing is going to dissuade the Democrats. There's only one Democrat out there Speaking out against this. His name is Joe Manchin saying You're going to institutionalize Ah, permanent division in this country by impeaching President Trump the same time and they don't care. They hate us. Now let me turn your attention back to the Republicans. The Republicans seem to be signaling that they are in support of what the Democrats are doing. What do you say? Well. I think with the support Donald Trump Jr would be an option, and you can't tell me that with the president to his right hand and his right hand President Trump and his spokesperson and someone that would speak from him, as Donald Trump Jr did on many a program. I've heard him talk, and he is amazing. He believed in everything we believe then he's very articulate. He's very charismatic. And I say Donald Trump Jr Well again that leads me back to which party is he going to run under? Because it seems the leadership of the Republican Party is saying they want to purge all things Trump. And they want to purge Trump supporters. And your reaction is Oh, he he's gone. Thank you, Joe to North Richland Hills. Donna welcome The Crystal Saito show. Chris. Thanks for having me on. Yes, ma'am. I I have purged the Republican Party a long time ago. I'm not. I mean, as a virus or a third party all the way we have. The Republicans have proved That they're not Where we the people at all. I don't think two parties exist in Washington, D C. I think there's only one party in Washington, D. C. And there are 544 people in Washington, D. C. But I have nothing in common with nothing right? And it seems that the Republican Party prefers the company of a O. C and I on a Presley, Andy Han Omar and Rashida MF to leave and Nancy Pelosi over The folks they've been asking for donations for all this time, And when you hear me say that a Republican that I interviewed yesterday when I asked them how are you going to defend? Your your constituents and his response is what we're gonna have to rely on the conscience of Democrats. How do you feel about that, Donna? It's absurd. It's absurd. Yeah, and kind of scary to think that proved not on Lee. I'm talking about the Republican Party. They have proved not only that they will not stand against lawlessness. They themselves are lawless, and I know this because they refused. Just stand up for the Constitution of the United States of America. And not only that, but look, look at what their alleged opponents did over the summer and not one Democrat or not, Robert Public. I was calling for re calling these Congress, women and officials nobody was talking about impeaching anybody on the Democrat side for promoting violence. Thank you don appreciate the call folks. Let me ask you a question. Do you know the name of your Texas representative? Do you know the name of your Texas senator? Meaning not going to Washington going to the going to Austin going to the state capital. You should. I'll explain why and then take more of your phone calls Next on WB a pig. Did someone say.

"Demonstrators becoming writers on Capitol Hill breaking into the U. S Capitol building, shutting down congressional meetings, and it begs the question of what direction the National Republican Party will take in the near future. Well, joining us now is somebody who knows that who's intimately aware of those things and more. It's a chair, a former GOP chair in Colorado, Dick Wadhams in a political analyst, Dick Good morning. Good morning, Marty. Before we get into some of the granular I just want to get on your thoughts of what unveiled yesterday. Murdered Diana about as everyone else. I was appalled by what I saw, uh, happened to our capital, and I worked in the U. S senate over the last over my lifetime total of eight years. Um, I just anybody who's worked in that complex or visited the complex had to be just appalled, but and I think President Trump is it was reprehensible What he said in his speech earlier in the day to the to the rally. Hey, did incite people to go to the capital and I hope I do hold him greatly responsible for what happened yesterday. No individual citizens must be held accountable. But That the body at the same time last summer when we had night after night after night after night of rioting across this nation, Joe Biden and the Democrats were silent. And so I think both parties have got to rise up and take on the extremists in their party. Both sides I I think that's what's got to happen. I I don't disagree with you there. But this dick seems like it's it always gets to this case of what about ism or will they do? It is well on the merits of this actually stand on their own, and I wonder from your perspective. At what point if the old cliche If you broke it, you bought it. This has become President Trump's Republican Party. This is not the conservative Republican Party I think you identify with and my writing, characterizing that And what does that go? This is what's gonna happen, Marty. We obviously on January 20th at noon. We're going to be into the post Trump period in the Republican Party. It will be a chaotic time in the party President Trump and his two sons are already threatening primaries against any Republican congressman. Who did not support the effort to overturn the electoral college. It's gonna get messy, and I think Republicans have a have got to stand up to that kind of behavior. I think President Trump did a lot of good things during his four years. I mean next to Judicial nominations, deregulation it none of those things excuse what he did yesterday or this notion that Republican members of Congress should be punished. For not joining him and trying to overturn the electoral college. And that goes to my next question At what point is if you want to say getting what you want become political expedience, But then it's not expedient when he does that. I guess it's like Hey, he enacted things. I know that that many who identifies conservatives like But what point are they issuing his character in this life that that character mattered in the conservative movement in the conservative party, Yet they always seem I feel make excuses for because well, he did this He got tax cuts. At what point are you like? This doesn't make sense, if if morals and character matter Well, I mean, his era is ending, Marty. I mean, this is so that discussion is over with, but, uh And I know you don't like him Well, that they did it to How many Democrats never took on Bill Clinton when he was having sex with an intern in the White House, But he's going back already. Yeah, that's it. Get control of this stuff. Right side. Those parties have got to stand up. To the extreme voices in their party eyes. This is not an isolated incident. Yesterday's been going on fine. Well, the president may be gone taking you're right about that. But there are many what people to call Trump loyalists that are going to still be there, And obviously he's got a heck of a voting bloc. So so maybe maybe the person goes away. But But what? What plagues If you want to see that there's there's still around. So what do you do about what is the current, for example? Like a Ken Buck? We'll talk to later. Or any of those who, to some degree have tethered their wagon to him yet separate when it I think again doesn't become politically expedient or they'll realize Whoa, this I'm getting a little too close to the embers for this. Marty with a Zeiss a work these next two years before the 2022 election. There were there will be a want of debate and discussion in our party. There will be Republican primaries front for nominations and the The trump Loyalist Element in the party will be a big part of that. Um, it's gonna be a messy time. It just gonna be a mess. A time in the Democratic Party to Joe Biden is gonna have to fight off the Alexandria Alexis. The Cortez, a constant Cortez is in his party who want to impose this radical agenda. They went. So both parties are in turmoil right now, Marty, even though the Democrats won the presidency There's a lot going on in their party, too. I think that's just gonna be the nature of both parties For the next two years. As I wrap up with you, you obviously the president will be gone. You have said that. But does he still represent the head of what is currently the Republican Party or is there somebody else that steps up? If you want to say to fill that void that maybe at least is still in some form of office. Well, any time a party loses a president there is there. You cannot replace the president. Whoever that president is, I mean, the Democrats went went through the same thing. When George W. Bush got elected, there was no leader in their party and parties go through a A time of debate and that what the party stands for, And so while what Trump is gonna have a big impact on the Republican Party, even after January, 20th People. He will not be solely the head of the party like he is now, uh, that ultimately won't be decided until we nominate a candidate for president and 2024. I have no idea who that will be. We have no idea trample run again, although I would say Marty after yesterday. I think Trump's Trump's potential to be elected president again or be nominated by the Republican Party is pretty tarnished. He's a political expert. He's a friend of this program, and I always enjoy having conversations with him. Dick Wadhams. Thank you so much Happy New Year to you and yours, and and obviously we'll continue the conversation. Thanks so much. All right, Marty. Thank you. It's 6 30 here. We got the newscast ahead. The drive Right now.

California GOP won't remove unofficial ballot drop boxes
"Hi. Welcome to the side of the breakdown. Okay. Great to be here. So okay. You have been covering this dispute that is happening between the Republican Party and Democratic leaders in the state. Ballot boxes popped up in some contested congressional district over the weekend. Put there by the state GOP. Tell us what happened. What are they? Why is everybody so mad? Right. So this started to kind of last weekend when we started seeing photos of these boxes, unofficial ballot drop boxes pop up in Fresno, Los Angeles, Orange County, the state, GOP and county Republican Party's kind of took responsibility for them. Alex Media, California Secretary of State Javier Becerra, the state's attorney general, filed this season Desist letter against Republican Party. They've basically raised two points against these ballot boxes, one That some of them were labeled official even though they were definitely not official on to that. This is a violation of the state's ballot collection law, also known as ballot harvesting law. That makes it sound like you're stuffing turf builder in your envelope for something, so I think On the first point, the GOP has conceded, they said, You know, we promised these signs saying official are gone. The second point about Malik Collection is a bit more complicated. We're recording this on Thursday. This could likely end up in litigation, so we should say, As you pointed out, there is a law that allows ballot harvesting valid collection and the Democrats were all for it. The Republicans in the Legislature didn't vote for it. They howled against it. They said it cost them the election in some of the midterm races and 2018. So are they now? Just saying OK, can't beat him. We're going to join him. Yeah, This is as they've built their attempt at Valley Collection. It remains to be seen kind of what's the greater effective this strategically? I mean, you know the resource is that they're going to have to use to defend this, possibly in court could have possibly been used just to direct their voters towards existing ballad drop boxes. There are tons of official ballad drop boxes up and down the state. You can Google Katie with the early voting to find list and find a way to find ones near you. So it's not clear whether they're getting new votes that otherwise would have been captured in the existing collection and voting methods throughout the state. Is this really a wise use of resource is on the part of the GOP. I mean, Yeah, I talkto Paul Mitchell today who does for both parties is like a voter data grew and he said by his count, there's like 98 turned in and Fresno and he's like, I would bet every one of us was probably someone who already would've voted GOP. So What is this isn't a political stunt to draw attention to about harvesting. It is, isn't it from their perspective? Good faith effort on the GOP side to really make sure that people vote I mean, because it's uh it's a little confusing. I mean, there's about harvesting issue, and then there's everything we've been hearing from the president, which is Go to the polls. Don't vote early male voter, you know, male voting is problematic. None of that's true. It's fine. It's secure. But like, Like, what do you What's the political angle here? If there is one Right. I mean, I think you hit it on the head with this kind of strange dichotomy. I think as faras this strategy to me, it's kind of the halfway between a ballot harvesting, troll and kind of a legitimate operation that they were trying to get out the vote with, But it raises this question of Look both by mail the expansion of vote by mail in California this year. Sending every voter ballot was a bipartisan effort There was, you know, Half a dozen Republicans in the Assembly who supported this. Even legislators, who are upset that this initially was pursued through an executive order ultimately supported the legislation. Now take that in comparison to national Republicans, who have spent most of the year saying vote by mail is filled with fraud. It's kind of created this strange paradigm for the GOP, where on one hand they have to be like, Look as our president is saying. Vote by males fraudulent, But hey, while you're in the office, stick your ballot in here. We'll take it for you. And I think that sets up this strange reflex of having the defendant National Republicans when many California Republicans were comfortable phone by mail, and Scott, I know you talked to many election officials in Red counties who have used, you know, using vote by mail for years. And so it's It's a weird interplay of the national Republican Party, taking this really strong stance that I think ultimately has hurt the state and local Republican Party's politically

Atlanta - Georgia GOP, Republican National Committee join fight to overturn state's absentee ballot ruling
"Both of Georgia and National Republican Party's air, joining the state's appeal of the lawsuit that allows absentee ballots to be counted up to three days after the election. The Republican National Committee and Georgia Republican Party have filed a motion urging the Of the Circuit Court of Appeals to overturn the order by U. S District Judge Eleanor Ross. We believe that is an invitation for turmoil and fraud, and we're joining the state and asking that the appellate court stay her order until the appeal on the order itself can be heard, Georgia GOP chair David Schaeffer says.
