"One of my personal favorites is this teeny tiny island called leila de moon littler moon. I'm butchering the name. And i apologize but it is the smallest of the faroe islands which is an archipelago in the north atlantic of eighteen rocky volcanic islands and it's t tiny. And maybe you've seen a picture of it. It is known because it often has. It's own perfect. Little cloud propped right on top of the island. And it's just so sweet and it's fun to look at which i think is you know a great qualifier for natural wonder but you also look at it and you say what is that. How does that island have its own personal cloud. It seems like something out of a cartoon and so you sort of get to dig in and understand the science behind it and and those are really wonderful. I've seen that place. And it's incredibly cute cartoon. It's got like a little cloud hat that it wears and it could not be. You wanna draw a teeny little smiley face on it and it's going on adventures and hanging out with the whale or something i saw. It just looks like something other zelda like thing yeah for sure. Yeah if there's definitely a category of places where like belongs in a fantasy novel or a video game and you're like okay that's well. These are amazing places. Jonathan at the end of the last episode we did stub which is basically an atlas entry where we need more information and we want to sort of enlist people to help out. So what is your stub for us. This week. we have one called historic. Oh kenichi speedway which is located in hillsborough north carolina and is actually one of the few surviving original nascar dirt speedway tracks letterman in the united states. So it's a forty four acre site. It's already registered a national register historic places but it's on the banks of the river. It's been around since inaugural. The nascar is inaugural season of nineteen. Forty nine this track is still there. But we don't have hardly any information on it you know. We have a couple of pitchers of from sinus. That's there we don't have any pictures of the actual track itself I'm sure there's like red gnarly drivers that actually like took this track. I'm pretty sure they were like unique cars that were using this track. During that time i would just love. Love love to know more about this. Particular track that exists in hillsborough north carolina. If you guys have anything out there photos original photos archival photos would be great Any type of information related to the okajima cheese speedway. Please please please help us out in popping that information if you can Also if you're going to visit there to take some pictures make sure you will good walking shoes entering very books because it is a wooded area and there's no access after sunset either so please don't trust us. The the first national bank building in the old scott county jail are still standing both of these on the national register historic places to get an opportunity to go by their check. It out there some really great history in that area and it's a beautiful town in this particular shadab blue story we're dealing with a nineteen twenty seven incident in scott county tennessee. Now nine hundred twenty seven. This was the time of prohibition. The eighteenth amendment made it illegal to make transport and sell alcohol and it was passed by the us congress in one thousand nine hundred seventeen in lasted till about nineteen thirty three now. In nineteen nineteen the amendment was ratified by three quarters of the united states states that was required to make it a part of the constitution but the new constitutional amendment did not specify specifically how the law would be enforced. So congress passed a separate law. The national prohibition act also known as the false debt act after congressman andrew john holstead stead of minnesota a prohibition supporter who guided and pushed the bill through his chairman of the house judiciary committee while the eighteenth amendment was really only a few pages long.
